the most chilling part of the video for me was the part where hbg isolated the parts that were only James' original thoughts, and hearing how hateful he is to his own community.

he was able to skirt by for so long because the off-color stuff he said was sandwiched between better, stolen analysis. Like wrapping up arsenic with cheese; sneaking in his awful views of women and other people within the community by hiding them behind the thoughtful analysis he stole (often from the exact kinds of people he has disdain for)

When you strip that away, the only thing that he contributed was the smug anger at types of queer people he didn't like: women, trans people, younger queers, non western queers, and people deemed not respectable enough.

it's fucking awful he blatantly stole from other people within the community, but it's pathetic the only original thoughts he could contribute are all about making himself the main character as a cis gay man.
