What do you think of penny from Pokémon scarlet and violet so far?

Hi! (sorry for the late responses! i lost motivation to do anything (+ i had an assignment that i still have to do that i was meant to do :'] )

anyways,,I think Penny's going to be really important to the plot, she kinda reminds me of Marnie from swsh in a way. And Marnie, although a popular character, did absolutely nothing for the plot (like all she really did was get you into spikemuth and be Pier's sister), and i do wish she did more but thats the past, im getting off topic but I don't think that they'll do an exact 'Marie' style character because its quite a riskier move (if the characters not as well like then people criticise more frequently (then gets called the 'worst' gen).

Even looking at the trailer and the info on her, she just looks like a perfect plot twist style character, the 'plot thickens' if you will. Like the other 2 rivals both get immediately associated with one of the 3 different goals/paths in the game. Nemona being the battle/gym path (plot 1) and Arven seeming being with the terastalising/lore based(???) (plot 3), but Penny's just kinda there? Like even on the website there was next to no information on her, and the fact she's pretty much the only character (excluding professors, adult-characters and random npcs) to be not wearing a school uniform.

My guess is she's going to be involved in plot 2, which could be about an unrevealed evil team (there always seems to be some form of evil team even if they're not actually evil), perhaps it'll be kinda like Marnie where she's not really involved but she keeps getting involved by the team? Who knows but whatever happens I'm still very excited to see how this game plays out! (Speaking of the gae,,so excited to meet Arven in the game! Also what's up with all these characters looking so gender :') I want them to just spare a crumb of that gender for me /pos)

An entirely too long rant about an entirely too little "problem"

I've started a nuzlocke playthrough of Pokémon Sword, and it's time. I've sat on this rant for long enough. It is not about the wasted potential of SwSh's story (I could certainly rant about that, too, but that has been done by other people often enough).

No, this is about parts of the German localisation.

Specifically, the naming of certain things.

I think the German localisers of the pokémon games are generally doing a solid job, which to me just makes it more frustrating what they've done to the Galar region. It's probably just a personal pet peeve. But oh boy, it peeves me.

It's only natural that some names get changed in other language versions. Sometimes, I understand why! Like the fact that Spikemuth is called Spikeford, or that Hulbury got changed to Keelton. The changed names are easier to read/pronounce for German speakers.

Other changes I don't entirely understand, but like or at least can tolerate... like Marnie -> Mary, Leon -> Delion, or Postwick -> Furlongham.

But why. Why. Why change Motostoke to "Engine City"? Hammerlocke to Claw City?? Wyndon to Score City???

I know the settlements are called ___ City or ___Town in the Japanese version, but they didn't go with that pattern for the other settlements! Why go with Score City over Wyndon, then? Smh. It's such a weird decision and it grinds my gears. Claw City. Seriously. They come up with names like Fairballey (Ballonlea) and Brassbury (Wedgehurst) but then settle for something like "Engine City". Whyyy
