Bougie, casual is not in his vocabulary.

He will put on the air of the perfect gentleman. It is imperative that he projects this image. He may be in chains but he has his pride.

He will act more like himself verbally. He keeps up whatever type of banter you two normally have.

If you lack clothing that fits the occasion you will find a bunch of new clothing at your lodgings with no context besides a note listing what situations to wear what items.

Every date is a three-part affair. Opera: light dinner, performance, nightcaps as you discuss the performance. Dinner: three courses in either a private suite or booked out restaurant.

I'm glad self-inserts and mary sues have been (for the most part) accepted by fandom. Or, at the very least, they aren't as hated on and attacked as they were in the past.

In the ye olde days™, 12-year-old me was absolutely terrified of making a "mary sue," to the point that I wouldn't post anything I made. Even worse, the characters I did make were dull and boring to achieve "realism." God forbid would I even THINK of making a character that was anywhere close to me as a person. Luckily, I was able to grow past this and started making art that made me happy, no matter what others might think. But what about the other 12 year olds who saw that their OCs were "bad" and got discouraged? There's so many people out there who stopped engaging in art simply because they made an OP character.

Creating characters is about expressing your creativity and feeling a connection to your art. It's going to be a different, unique experience for everyone. For one person, that might mean making a gritty, realistic OC. For another, it could be making a perfect version of themself to ship with a character they like. If making that "bad" mary sue is what makes someone happy, let them do it! Focus on what makes you happy and thats what matters. (live and let live basically).

Basically, if you want to make a character, DO IT!! Make that Undertale self-insert that dates Sans! Draw your neon pink alicorn princess pony! Feed your inner-child and create what makes you HAPPY!!!

i love that andy weir never kills his protagonists. it would be so easy to. at so many points. by all means they Should be dead. mark gets stranded on mars and the planet works against him at every turn. jazz's suit fails on the surface of the moon and she feels herself begin to die. ryland is sent on a suicide mission then gives up his chance at return for his friend. they should all have died. multiple times in some cases. but they don't!!! because weir isn't writing tragedies, he's writing stories of hope and humanity. they survive even when it should be impossible for them to because of connection. simple as that.

Could I request a headcanon about Ais and Leander and the jealousy they feel when they know mc is with the other or when mc talks about the other when they're with them?

Ais & Leander + Jealousy (no warnings)

Ais:

-Jealously isn’t really his style. He’s pretty easygoing.

-It’s not impossible, but it will just take some time.

-I think he assumes you’re closer to him until he sees you with Leander.

-Things are weird between them. Ais likes to drink, Leander occasionally tries to murder him.

-He’s not too put off, most people like the mercernary.

-Leander is too friendly, especially with you.

-Whenever he sees him touch you, he feels annoyed.

-You’ll tell Ais about some new drink or magic trick Leander has concocted and he’ll quickly change the subject.

-Some of his “pets” will follow you around. Maybe even keep you from Leander.

Leander:

-I do not subscribe to yandere Leander.

-If Leander does get jealous, it’s only a little, and he feels bad about it.

-He’s cool with Ais, but he’s not trustworthy and poses a great danger to you.

-He’ll never directly say to avoid Ais, he’ll just imply it, make some comments. He doesn’t want to be controlling.

-He tenses up whenever Ais is around you. Makes sure he’s always nearby, in case.

-Ais does notice but makes no comment.

-Leander’s smile tightens whenever you talk about Ais.

Good art of things I hate is my 13th reason. It’s particularly worse when people think you endorse the stuff depicted.
