Chronicles of Mama Okoye and Riri! XII
Yuum Attuma!
Even though in the past Riri had tried to set her mother up with someone, albeit unsuccessfully, she never really thought of how another addition to the household would affect her. It had been just the two of them her entire life. Mama and Intombi.
And given that her mother always had an aversion to getting into relationships, she never dwelled on the possibility.
Until now. Riri couldn't complain though. Attuma treated her mother really well and she couldn't help but enjoy the big blue guy's company as well.
Attuma was currently at their house and her Mom couldn't stay off of his lap. Every time Okoye had to go check on something in the kitchen, she hopped off his lap, did what she had to do and then found her place nestled against Attuma's chest once more. They were cuddled up on the couch as they were watching one of the local TV stations after Riri insisted her mother stop being such a busy body and stay cuddled up to her mans.
Riri walked out the kitchen with a tray of Koeksisters her mother had promised Attuma she'd make for him to try. She carefully set down a tray of the golden-brown plaited dough and her mother quickly plated one of the pastries after dunking it into the dip.
"Here Attuma, try this." Okoye offered as she placed it near his mouth to feed him.
Attuma carefully removed his rebreather and opened his mouth to be fed by his woman. He took a big munch out of it and closed his eyes with a grunt in appreciation of the flavour.
"It is sweet like you, In yakunaj." Attuma complimented before biting the rest off of Okoye's hand, licking her fingers in the process.
Riri grinned as she cracked open a can of Coca-Cola before handing it to Attuma, "You ain't never had none of this before, right? Why don't you try it?"
Attuma accepted the drink from Riri and scrutinized the red aluminum, "What is this called?"
"Coca-Cola: it's a brand of soda. It's like water...you drink water right? Breathe it? Huh." Riri rubbed her chin, "It's not like we eat air, so it's not like it'll translate the same for you since water is your air. You know....diffusion and all."
Attuma stared at Riri as she rambled before she loudly clapped, "Ah ha! It's like the juice from the fruits you eat but it's in a can! Boom!"
Attuma dripped some of the liquid into his palm to inspect its colour, "This is black, like the oil that pollutes the oceans."
Riri waved him off, "Well that ain't oil. C'mon! Just drink it already so I can see how you like it."
Attuma looked at the can again before taking a gulp of it, but the immediate burning sensation in his throat had him coughing and sputtering, which made RIri double over with laughter.
"It burns like acid!" Attuma smacked his chest to try to alleviate the sting.
Riri pulled up a chart on her Kimoyo beads and adjusted the data, so you like Arizona, think Perrier is absolutely disgusting, Chocolate milk made you get diarhhea..."
Attuma stomped his foot down, "No, it was clearly poisoning. A child's drink can never affect me in such a way."
Riri side eyed him before laughing as she finished inputting her data, "Suuuure big guy."
Okoye clicked her tongue as she caressed Attuma's cheek, making him face her again before she pressed a loving kiss to his lips. "Don't terrorize him like that, Riri. I don't want him going belly up in the river should he try to return home."
Attuma scoffed and haughtily puffed his chest out, "I have faced almost every danger the deepest bowels of the ocean has to offer. Land-dwellers' food shall never do me over."
"Attuma, how are you with spicy food?"
"Riri!"
"He likes a challenge, Ma! Let me give the man what he wants! You agree, right 'Tuma?" She held out her fist.
"I am no 'Pussy' as Riri says." Attuma fist bumped her before transitioning into the handshake she taught him.
"That's what I'm talkin' bout!"
Okoye rolled her eyes before playfully glaring at Attuma, "Don't come whining to me when you have bellyaches."
Attuma pressed a kiss to Okoye's lips, "I would never succumb to such a thing. But should a fate like that befall me, I trust that you won't allow me to suffer."
Okoye blushed and hid her face in Attuma's neck.
"Ohhh, Mom you folded so hard!" Riri taunted while Attuma peppered kisses to her neck.
Riri trailed behind her mother and Attuma as they walked hand in hand. Riri set her kimoyo beads to start recording as she cleared her throat, "As you can see, I am third wheeling on a date under the guise of a 'family' outing. I'm being left out while these two love birds can't stop making googly eyes at each other." Riri dramatically sighed as she flipped the camera to her face. She pressed the back of her palm to her forehead and sighed again, "Woe is me, having to witness my mother's escapades- AHH!"
Riri was swiftly hoisted off the ground and seated onto the crook of Attuma's arm. Riri had wrapped her arm around his neck for extra stability.
"Nobody is being left out on my watch." Attuma loudly proclaimed.
Riri giggled and flashed her kimoyo beads on Attuma, who gave the bead a wink, as they continued walking, "As you can see, my Mama's boyfriend is an amazing family man. Out here making me feel included and shit!" She pressed a kiss to Attuma's cheek as he kept her in his grip while he simultaneously had his free arm wrapped around Okoye's waist.
Riri flashed her beads over her mother, Attuma and then herself, "Don't mind us, just a regular shmegular family having a nice family outing."
Okoye hugged Attuma tighter as they walked while she observed her daughter telling Attuma a joke to which he let out a gutteral laugh.
"Bruh! You fake as hell! Laughing at the chicken going to the other side?"
"I am genuine! Those feathered things walking when they have wings? It sounds idiotic." His chest vibrated as he laughed again.
Riri rolled his eyes, "Man, you mad corny."
"My two favourite people getting along." She rubbed Attuma's arm affectionately where he gently squeezed her side in return.
When Attuma found out that Riri often sparred with her mother, he excitedly queried Okoye if Riri would be be interested .
"Do you think Riri would like to spar with me? She usually makes technology, I never guessed that she fought in the same style as you." He held Okoye's hand firmly as he was practically buzzing with excitement.
Okoye smiled and softly nodded her head, "Riri wouldn't mind, I'm sure she would be glad that you have an interest in bonding with her in that way. "
Attuma scooted closer to Okoye on the couch, "How did she start off training?"
Okoye crossed her legs, "Hm. She was about four years old. I was a Dora for quite a while and had seen a lot of things in my profession. Children being abused. Sex trafficking. And so, so much more. I didn't want that for my baby. Bast forbid." Okoye took a calming breath, "I know that she'd always be safe in Wakanda, but you never know and I like to be prepared. I may not always be around to protect her forever, so I figured I could train her from young to be able to defend herself."
Attuma slowly nodded along as Okoye explained herself. He loved that way of thinking, "Warrior offspring is only natural when you are one."
Okoye chuckled and patted her hands, "Not a warrior, necessarily. Only if push came to shove. I never expected her to follow in my footsteps to be a Dora Milaje. I always allowed her to do her own thing, whatever her calling may be. And it so happened to be engineering."
"And how did she first react to you deciding to train her?"
Okoye chuckled, "She was very excited. She swung around the wooden spear like a sword at first, mimicking one of her cartoons, then immediately challenged me to a duel to the death."
"Ah, so she's always had a valiant spirit."
Atttuma closed his eyes as he envisioned Riri's fighing style, "Does she fight like you?"
Okoye took a deep breath, "You should find out for yourself, darling."
And find out Attuma did.
"You ain't all that, Big Blue!" Riri circled the Talokanil General with her spear in attack mode, "You gon' be fish fry when I'm done with you."
Attuma chuckled, this was not what he was expecting, "You definitely speak more than your mother."
"Oh, what? You saying I'm not about that action?" Riri charged but tripped over nothing, falling in front of Attuma with a groan.
Attuma, caught off guard by the display of clumsiness didn't react fast enough to Riri's foot hitting him square between his legs. The attack swiftly brought him to his knees before Riri stuck her fingers between his gills which caused him to yelp in pain.
He cupped the offended area while wincing, "You cheater..!"
Riri smirked and crossed her arms, "Man you're just a sore loser. You call it cheating and I call it strategy."
Attuma turned to Okoye who was sitting on the porch and pointed at Riri petulantly, "Dishonor!"
"Nah! Nah! You just hating, man! Anything goes in battle!" Riri grinned as she braced herself on her spear while Attuma found the strength to right himself.
"Not only are you large and powerful, you're super fast too. A triple threat! So I had to catch you off guard to end things quickly. You lucky this ain't for real. You woulda been toe-tagged already."
Attuma walked over to Okoye and plopped down beside her, sulking.
Okoye harumphed, "No no. Don't do that. You're the one that wanted to spar with her. She gets very creative when she wants to win. You brought this upon yourself."
"I didn't even get to trade blows."
Riri raised an eyebrow from where she was standing, "I never said I was done. You're the one that ran to Mama to lick your wounds. She can't save you! Let's go!" She picked up her spear and twirled it. "Unless you're scared."
Attuma silently stood again, "This time I shall show you no mercy, Shrimp."
"Bring it, A'Tuna!"
Attuma squatted next to Riri as she messed around with her latest suit, which she dubbed the Mach 5. Attuma quietly observed as she tinkered with the suit's legs, "Pass me the pliers, please."
Thanks to spending time with Riri, Attuma had learned quite a bit about the tools the land-dwellers use.
Riri gestured for Attuma to come closer to her as she pointed at the sole of the Suit's feet, "See, I've applied a graphene-infused composite matrix to reinforce the exhaust drive's structural integrity, enhancing its thrust capacity while minimizing energy dispersion."
Attuma nodded along, "I see."
"Additionally, I've fine-tuned the plasma ionization frequency to maximize propulsion efficiency, optimizing the balance between power output and thermal dissipation."
Attuma strokes his chin at the explanation, "How does the incorporation of the composite matrix contribute to the reinforcement and improved performance?"
Riri's eyes lit up, "I'm glad you asked! Basically it makes it more resistant to stress and impact. It improves the thrust capacity of the boots, allowing greater propulsion while minimizing energy dispersion, resulting in more efficient and controlled movement. Because trust me. You're gonna be flying into walls if shit ain't in order."
Attuma nodded again, "Soar high, Plankton."
Riri patted his shoulder, "Thanks, A'Tuna."
Riri covered her face as Okoye and Attuma were quite literally trying to eat each other's face off not even five feet away from her. She didn't expect to walk in on her mother straddling Attuma while he was palming her ass.
"Bast, can't you guys get a room? You're like horny teens. Is this how you felt with me and Shuri, Mama?" Riri couldn't help but laugh.
Okoye huffed and made a shooing gesture to Riri, "I thought you and Shuri were going out?"
"Oh, oh! Man, I didn't mean to cockblock. I ain't wanna ruin the mood. I just came to get something." She gestured to her bedroom.
Okoye whispered something into Attuma's ear and he quickly stood up, swiftly making his way to Okoye's bedroom.
Riri sighed as the door was practically slammed behind them, "Ah, young love." She wiped a fake tear before going to get what she came for.
"I'm telling you, Shuri! I never thought I'd have lived to see the day where I'd hear my mother have sex! That's trippy as fuck. I never wanna hear that shit again."
Shuri pressed a reassuring hand on her stomach, "You're getting normal child experiences. Welcome to the club."
Riri laughed, "Nah, that shit ain't normal man! I don't need to hear that."
She slowly blinked her eyes as she looked at the drifting clouds from her resting place on Shuri's lap, "But I'm really happy for her, you know? Attuma treats her really well. And even though he ain't my Dad or nuthin', he treats me like I'm his kid. And I really like that. It's comforting."
Shuri hummed while looking at Riri, "Well, if things keep going at the rate they are, you might have a little sibling." She teased.
"Ha, who knows. Maybe." She grunted while getting more comfortable on Shuri's lap.
Over a year into Okoye and Attuma's relationship had passed and he had popped the question during a quiet picnic with the Mother and Daughter.
Riri's jaw hung open as her mother had nodded as tears danced in her eyes. She looked on as they both had hugged each other and shared a kiss.
Riri pulled her knees to her chest as she looked at the exchange, making sure her beads were still recording.
It was sweet and she was happy for her mother. She found love and she's going to spend the rest of her life with a man who adored her more than there were grains of sand on the beds of seas and shores of beaches alike.
Riri swiftly wiped a stray tear that had slipped down her cheek.
Attuma then turned to Riri and closed the distance between them, "Because I'm marrying your mother, I now have an official duty to uphold to you. I love you just as much as I love your mother. And I am very happy that I had the honor of getting to know you, Riri. I'm grateful to you for allowing me to be in your mother's life as well as getting to know you on a personal level as well."
Riri sniffled and pinched her her arm as Attuma continued, "I see you as my own child and I care for you as such."
Attuma looked over at Okoye for reassurance and she gently nodded.
"In my culture, one refers to their father as Yuum."
Attuma held out an open palm to Riri, "I know that I'm not your real father, but if you are comfortable, you can call me Yuum." He glanced at Okoye again before making eye contact with Riri again, "I'd like it if you called me that."
Riri's eyes prickled all over again, she licked the corner of her mouth as she looked at his open palm and then at him. He really wanted her to call him Baba? Dad? Was this real life right now?
"Are you sure, Attuma?"
Attuma nodded, "Yes, I'm sure, Riri."
Riri threw herself at Attuma and crushed him into a hug, "Yea, I'd like that...Yuum."
Attuma grinned as he returned Riri's hug and pressed a kiss to the side of her head, "I'll do my best to make you and your mother happy."
Riri chuckled and squeezed her arms tighter around his neck,"You already make us happy."
Okoye held her heart to her chest as she watched the interaction between her two loves, "Bast, the both of you are so precious. I'm so happy to have you both in my life."
Attuma dragged Okoye into the hug with the two of them before he dropped backward onto the blanket, puling them down with him, which caused mother and daughter to laugh.
"To the first day of forever." Riri mumbled.
"To the first day of forever." Okoye repeated.
"And many lifetimes after that," Attuma concluded.
A/N: Hm. Dunno how to feel about this, but Attoye n Baby Riri compels me now, haha.

When Okoye and Attuma finally realized that they wanted to take their relationship to the next level. They knew they would have to do it slowly because Fourth grade! Riri.
Riri was pretty cool with Attuma and viewed him more as Mama's "friend" like her Auntie Ayo would say in passing.
Riri is a nosy girl, hearing things she shouldn't be hearing. Then repeating it not knowing what she just said. She would be the one confronting her mama about her "friend." "But do you like like him?" Riri asked following her mother around. Okoye was trying to avoid the question because she had a certain way she wanted to tell her daughter, but Riri wouldn't be Riri if she learn to let things go. "I- mean he's okay, "Okoye would answer, Riri gave a groan at her mother's response she should be in love like all the Disney princess movies she watched with Shuri. "But do you like like him?" Riri repeated as she came closer to her mother, "Like you want to kiss him and get his cooties?" Okoye quickly shuts this conversation down, "Did you finish your Lego set yet?"
Attuma would try to be the best stepdad and young kid could ask for. Attuma quickly learns Riri's likes and dislikes.
Attuma definitely loved helping Riri in building Lego sets.
they also bound over swimming.
Youtube would be his friend when he wanted to learn how to take care of Riri's hair when Okoye sprain her wrist.
Attuma would be extra gentle when doing Riri's hair and though the parts would be wobbly Riri loves it because he would put beads in it.
Riri would be interested in Attumas culture. Attuma was more than happy to teach her about it.
When Riri and Okoye went with Attuma to visit his family. The family accepted them like their own.
The only rough path was Riri and Namora. Attuma was not really sure why the pair hated each other but it took some years for the pair to stop being snappy at one another.
When Riri showed interest in going to college outside of New York, Okoye wasn't having it.
"There are great colleges here," Okoye argued. not liking the thought of her only daughter going somewhere she couldn't be there if something happen.
When Okoye and Riri argue, Attuma learns quickly to stay out of it. He would rather be a fence sitter than pick a side between them.
But Attuma was able calm down Okoye's worries and Riri was able to go to MIT.
Attuma loves being a dad, something about loving his child in always but blood.

I know T’Challa’s death was the big emotional upheaval, but I may never recover from Okoye begging the Queen Mother to not die, knowing she would never be forgiven for failing Ramonda’s family.
Gutted. Like a fishman.

3 months ago at Tolu’s
Shuri woke up in a cold sweat, head spinning. The only part of her body that was still under the covers was her left leg, as she lay on her belly. Something felt off. Suddenly, her body began retching as though it was rejecting something. Pain. That’s what was next. A stabbing pain that struck through her core, causing her to let out a sharp gasp, coming up on her hands and knees. She continued retching, followed by a gag, and then a cough. This pattern repeated itself until she felt something easing up her throat, the taste of blood began to permeate her tongue. Her eyes bulged in worry, her bandaged right hand coming up her mouth to prevent any mess on the bed underneath her. It was all she could do. She couldn’t move from the bed, her body was completely occupied with getting rid of whatever was inside of her.
The door flew open and Tolu rushed to Shuri’s side. “What the fuck is happening?!” Shuri couldn’t speak as her coughs, and gags became more aggressive as she felt something glide up her throat. It was closer now. Tolu shook as she froze in fear. A single drop of blood escaped Shuri’s mouth and rolled down her chin. “What the fuck.” She breathed. One last violent cough and heave shook Shuri’s body before she released a small clump of foreign object into her hand. She collapsed to the bed with a groan. To weak to move. Tolu squinted at the grotesque lump in Shuri’s hand something catching her eye. “Shuri. What the fuck is that!”
Shuri with her body still shaken. Slowly opened her groggy eyes. As her vision cleared her eyes landed upon her upright palm. Inside her hand lie a clumps of clotted blood that was surrounded by many very small bits of what appeared to be metal. Shuri’s eyes squinted  shivering at the sight.
“What. the fuck. is that…” She whispered

“Udaku…..MRS. Udaku!”
“Your Majesty.”
“Queen SHURI Udaku! Answer immediately before I find you in contempt of COURT!”
Shuri snapped out of her thoughts, staring out into the courtroom. Her eyes landed on the side of the defendant. There Okoye, and Nakia sat. And in the last seat closes to the aisle there sat Tolu, Sunglasses perched upon her face, a walking stick leaning against her chair. For as long as Shuri had known her, Tolu had always been at her side. Unfortunately, that very loyalty was the cause of her ailment.
Shuri sat upright, unbuttoning her blazer with one hand, before man-spreading and leaning back into the chair on the stand. Her jaw clenched as her right arm rested on the armrest, her thumb underneath her chin, and her pointer resting on her cheek.
“In your countries justice sytem the protocol is innocent until proven guilty, am I correct?” She spoke cool toned, even, yet authoritative. Never could you misconstrue her as weak.
The courtroom was silent as Shuri’s eyes roamed the crowd. The other world leaders sitting around in judgement of her. A smirk slightly raises her left cheek. As she lets out a small menacing laugh.
“Hm. Everyone in this room knows this is a witch hunt. America feels as though it finally has it’s opportunity to take down Wakanda and it’s recourses. You want my people to beg and bargain for the freedom of their leader. If this was about justice, your British counterparts would’ve been extradited years ago for the sex-trafficking ring that we’re all acutely aware of. The Israelis government would be on trail for the several war crimes they’ve been committing since before you all were born. Which is saying a lot since the bulk of you are well into your 60’s. We all know that there are much bigger Fish to fry here. But, You know… What is it that the children say in your country.” She looks around at everyone sitting up a little more in her seat as she looked from person to person. “Ah! Evil twin, Evil twin.”
“Mrs. Udaku! What point are you trying to make here!” Shuri’s head swung in the direction of the voice. Her eyes peircing through the elderly man.
“MY POINT IS!  Mr. President… Is that I have not been found guilty. So you will respect my title and position as your worlds leader! My proper title is Queen Shuri Udaku, DAUGHTER of Romonda! The most powerful entity in this room!” Her eyes slowly left the visibly shaken man.
“It is best that you keep that in mind for the duration of this trail.” She relaxed back into her chair, giving her blazer a slight tug. “Now where were we….Double homicide and attempted murder. Eh”

The day it happened
“Ride with me.” Shuri says as she holds the door open for you as you both rush out of the building.
“Shuri, I’m aware of how to get to the palace. My ride is pulling up, and you know I have Teyana with me.” Shuri’s eyes darkened at the mention of her name. “Your little fling is not welcomed in my palace.”
“Shuri, cut the bullshit. She’s coming.” You roll your eyes as the both of your cars pull up to the front of the building. Shuri proceeds to argue with you. Teyana hopped out of the back of the car, her eyes immediately landing on Shuri as she held the door opened for you. Shuri’s face morphed into a glower, her eyelids lowering into slits, her mouth turned up into a scowl. She shot daggers into the woman with her eyes, and surprisingly, the girl didn’t back down. Teyana’s eyes met Shuri’s intense glare and matched it.
“Is there a problem Princess?” The girl spoke. Your heart dropped a bit. Speechless, you turn your attention to Shuri prepared to take action. A flash of shock came over Shuri’s face, before humor. Her beautiful smile lightened her face reaching her eyes. The smile was genuine. And that scared you more than the anger you had expected.
“Teyana huh?” Her voice came out dark and deep. A stark contrast to the smile on her face.  Her head shook from side to side as she turned to walk away, not before she pointed in Teyana’s direction shaking her finger. She glanced at you with a glimpse of mischievous in her eyes, sending shivers down your spine, and a pulse to your core. You watch as  she walks her walk, like only she can. Her stride strong and regal as she makes her way to her car.
You turn and strut to your own, sliding in, visibly disturbed by Shuri’s reaction. There was something familiar in her eyes that made your stomach churn, but you couldn’t quiet put your finger on it. As soon as Teyana slid into the car and shut the door, you turned to glare at her.
“What?” She turned to you feigning confusion.
“What the fuck was that?!”
“What was what?” Your eyes roll deep into the back of your skull. Frustration rising up into the flesh of your cheeks. “Oh my God! I can’t right now, I can’t with the bullshit!” You sit back blowing out a long exhale from your puffed cheeks.
“Y/n! I’m not a bitch!” You throw your hands up choosing to look out of the window to mask your frustration. “I’m not gonna sit here and let her intimidate me. She started with me. Looking at me like she wanted a problem!” Your head snaps around as you give Shuri an incredulous look.
“She absolutely does want a problem Teyana! This is why I told you not to come! But since you insisted you were supposed to stay at Tolu’s and out of the way! She saw you get out of the car and now, YES! She wants a problem! You’re in HER country, with HER wife! Sit back! Shut up! And make it out safely!”
Teyana chuckles. “Please! My father is friends with the President of the United States. She doesn’t scare me.” Your face becomes as serious as you can manage as you try to get her to heed your warning.
“Right now you are in Wakanda. You should have left that American sense of entitlement back there. Shuri is not just some ex to you while we’re here. She is the Queen. I suggest you keep that in mind.” Teyana, choosing to sit in her stubbornness, rolled her eyes sitting back as they pulled up to the citadel.
Shuri stood waiting, hands crossed and resting infront of her body. The car comes to a stop, and Teyana immediately steps out to open the door for you once again. After you step out of the car the door shuts behind you and Teyana steps up beside you. Shuri raises a brow and you feel the dread spread throughout your body.
“I’m not sure if your master informed you. But, you are not welcomed in my home.” Shuri didn’t move a muscle as she gave Teyana a once over. Teyana puffed out her chest prepared to show Shuri who she was.
“Look, let’s get sumn straight. I don’t give a fuck who you are. Your majesty. You show me some respect. I’ll think about giving it to you. Either way I go where my girl goes.” Teyana took a step up, and Shuri continued to stand in her power, her mouth downturned and eyebrows raised, amused.
“Ooou Fiesty. You must have a thing for that, Sthandwa?” Shuri said, looking your body over before her eyes connected with yours. The intensity behind them sent shockwaves through your body, and you quickly turned your head from her. Shuri Tsked, “Ah, I see why your little friend here has so much to prove. Look at the way your body still reacts to me. Are you sure you know what to do with her Tempnada? All that mouth doesn’t seem to be helpful in the bedroom.”  You could see steam come from Teyana’s ears, prepared to say the first thought that came to mind.
“Man fuck you! You orphaned ass cheater!” You suck in a sharp breath. There was no time to think, both you and Shuri stepped forward simultaneously. Your hand darted out instantly halting Shuri mid stride, pressing into the center of her stomach as you try to grab her attention. Your free hand reached up grabbing the side of her face to direct her gaze to yours. But, her eyes remained trained on Teyana. Shuri’s hands gripped your waist. She gently lifted you off of your feet, placing you to the side.
“Shur-“ You were immediately quieted as Shuri tossed a stifling glare in your direction.
“I don’t know why my wife felt the need to bring her riff raff into my presence.” Her stern gaze left yours, her attention now turned back to her target. “More than likely, to make me jealous. And at first it was working. However, the more you speak, the more I see your purpose. It is apparent that you haven’t been informed of the lengths I would go for my troublesome love here.” One more step forward and Shuri was directly over Teyana. “Shuri come on. Stop” You say, fear making your voice tremble, as you walk over once again placing your hand on Shuri’s stomach trying to push her back. A smirk passed over Shuri’s lips, her head tilting to the side.
“Read the room. That’s what you Americans say huh? Notice the safety precaution my thando is making. It is not because she cares so much for you. But, because she knows who I am. Follow suit toy. Or you can breathe the air, and take in the scenery of your last day on earth.” Teyana couldn’t hide the slight tremble in her body and the action brought a smile back to Shuri’s face. “Now if you’ll excuse us. The adults have business to take care of.” Shuri removed your hand from her locking your fingers with hers, bringing the back of your hand to her mouth, placing a gentle kiss there directly in Teyana’s face. Claiming her territory.
Tolu pulled up behind your car just in time. Your grateful eyes falling on her as she stepped out of her car. “Shuri, stop threatening the girl and let’s get to these results!” She yelled as she headed towards the  entrance of the citadel. Shuri wrapped her free hand around your waist turning your body and holding you close as you both walked into the building leaving Teyana clenching her teeth.
“You may as well count your losses” Tolu yelled over her shoulder.

Riri Williams
“You’re simply not her…. You’re simply not her…You’re simply not her.”
The words played over and over in Riri’s head as she watched the scene play out from the window of her room. She watched the way you intervened between Shuri and the girl. How even in the midst of Shuri’s pure rage, she found a way to be gentle with you. The way the two of you naturally fell into your roles as wives. She couldn’t understand it. You’d completely disrespected and disregarded Shuri’s feelings by bringing another woman you were involved with into her country. Yet, she was still patient and attentive with you. You’d watched Shuri fucking her, and instead of signing divorce papers and heading back to where you came from. Here you were… back in Shuri’s arms!
“You’re simply not her.”
It sounded in her head once again as she watched Shuri guide you inside by your waist. Rage boiled up inside of Riri  like an over flowing pot of water. She turned away from the window knocking over a lamp in her path, snatching her phone up from the coffee table she found the number she was looking for in her phone. After two rings the person picked up.
“Yo.”
“What the fuck am I paying you for!?”
“I’m doing what you paid me for! Shit. I met her, I got her attention, I take her ass out and everything. I got her bring me here. Don’t start shit with me cause your plan ain’t going the way you want!” Teyana’s frustration seeped through the speaker.
“If you were doing what I was paying you for my girlfriend wouldn’t be walking hand in hand with with that bitch!”
“Yo Ri. Not that you’ll listen to me. But you’re buggin’. Those two ain’t lettin’ up. They sprung off each other. Ol’ girl ain’t even lettin’ me hit.”
Riri let’s put an incredulous laugh. “You’re not even fucking her! Fuck this I’ll do it myself. I’m the only one who can get this done the right way!”
Riri hung up the phone. Heading out of the door.
Before all hell broke loose.

The Courtroom
“Queen Shuri…May I ask why did your wife choose not to go through with filing for divorce on the day in question?” Irritation morphed onto Shuri’s face as she gave a nonchalant shrug.
“Because I’m cute.” She said, raising a brow bring her hand up to caress her chin. The man rolled his eyes fed up with Shuri’s blantant detachment for this case. Her being the smartest individual the world has ever seen let him know that she was aware of the seriousness of the charges brought against her. But all morning she’d used this courtroom as her personal play ground, simply for her enjoyment.
“You are under oath! And I suggest you give serious and honest answers!”
“That was a very serious and honest answer council. What? *raises brow* You don’t think I’m cute?” She smirked. He gives an exasperated sigh and looks to the judge. “Your honor. It’s obvious that she is not taking this seriously” He says, pointing his hand in her direction.
Shuri scoffs, “Why would I?”
“These are very serious accusations!”
“That have nothing to do with me. You’re all wasting my time.”
The judge bangs her gavel. “That’s enough! Answer the questions properly or I will hold you in contempt of court, and postpone your trial as you sit and think in a cell for 3 months.”
Shuri rolls her eyes, “Excessive, but ok I’ll entertain your little trial. Go on. Ask me something else.” Shuri turned her attention back to the frustrated man.
“Why was your wife brought back to the palace after the failed divorce proceedings?”
“To fuck. Celebrate. ” The courtroom filled with murmurs as the council dropped his head. Seemingly defeated. Until…
“Oh yea? And how did that go? Because we have a witness that says that your wife was there with Miss Teyana Taylor when you exited the building. That would complicate your plans with her highness. Would it not?”
Shuri leaned back kicking her feet up onto the banister, and letting her hands rest on her stomach. Her head cocking to the side. “No. Not really. I always get what I want.”
“Do you? Then what exactly was the commotion in the palace about before the accident?”
Shuri chuckled. “Hm. It seems as though we have a talker huh?”
“Oh yes you’re highness, you do indeed have a talker.”

The Day it Happened
“So, what does this mean Shuri?” You’re eyes didn’t leave the results infront of you. You were tearing at what this could possibly mean. Shuri stood next to you, biting hard into her bottom lip. What she already knew, now confirmed.
“What that means is our tiny guest took it upon herself to control the way Shuri felt about her. She’s a fucking lunatic.” Tolu said standing to the left of you, also immersed in the results.
Your breathing started to get heavier as you tried to wrap your mind around all of this. Not knowing what to believe.
“Wh- h-how? How did she do this?”
“She gave me a little peace offering. Pot bread after everything settled from before. Said she had a date and wanted to thank me for allowing her to stay after all of the confusion. That’s the day I started feeling different. The confusion. The memory blocks.”
You stand staring. Hands begining to shake as your body heated up from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. “Let me get this straight. That bitch was invited into my home by my wife, fucked my wife, and when me and you got better instead of sending the homewrecking bitch home, you allowed her to stay, took a peace offering and she’s been controlling your fucking mind ever since.”
Shuri turned walking away to her “special desk” on the floor of her lab. She opened a drawer pulling out her tyutu. An herb made special by you just for her when the two of you were young. “So it is still my fault?”
“Kutheni kungenjalo Shuri! (Why wouldn’t it be) I asked you to get that bitch out of here immediately after I found out about the two of you, and you refused! So yes! You’re still at fault!” You began pacing. “And how the fuck don’t I know this isn’t some shit you made up just to try and stop me from divorcing you.”
She plopped down into her chair, Her jaw clenching as she refused to look in your direction. She pulled out her rolling papers and began to make a blunt. “Listen. I think right now our biggest issue is Riri! She’s still here and she tried to manipulate the both of you into splitting up!” You nod agreeing with Tolu, yet still having a point to add.
“Which she wouldn’t have been able to do if mfazi wam okrelekrele (my genius wife) had sent the little psycho BACK HOME!” Shuri sat deligently rolling up. “Look at her. She doesn’t even know what to say since her little plan of winning me back didn’t work! How long ago did you cough this shit up again?! And how long have you still been fucking her?!” You say walking over slamming your hand on the table in front of her, punctuating your sentence.
Shuri sat forward. Her elbows on her knees, finished with her task. She placed the final product between her lips. She touched one of her beads and rubbed her middle finger and thumb together, a flame appearing from the top, for her to light her herb. Once lit she took a deep inhale closing her eyes, before releasing a puff of smoke through her nose. She relaxed back into her chair looking up at you through hooded eyes.
“Undiqumbele nyani mhle? (Are you really angry at me beautiful) Or are you upset at how  much you still want me? That no matter how much I fuck up. You’ll always crave me. All of the years we’ve known eachother the popular consensus has been my need for you. But, Thando I do believe you’ve grown to need me too. I excite you. The way your heart rate speeds up at the sound of my voice is telling. The desire in your eyes for me when I put your little pet in her place. *smirk*  It only makes you want me more. But I beg of you Sthandwa.” She stands to her feet, gliding over to you, your body trembling in anticipation for the true love of your life. “We have a common enemy. Let’s not give her the satisfaction of allowing what she did to tear us apart.” She grabbed your chin caressing it between her fingers as she brings the blunt to her mouth taking another puff before signaling you to open your mouth. You immediately obey as she leaned forward as placed her mouth over yours, releasing the smoke.
She pulls back looking you in your eyes and there you saw her. Your teenage love. “Let’s show her what the Udaku’s are capable of!”
That glint in her eyes sparked a fear and excitement in you. She was back. And the world was in trouble.
“I’ll kill her.”

“Is it not true that you threatened Ms. Taylor? Saying and I quote ‘You can breathe the air, and take in the scenery of your last day on earth.’ “
“Spot on. Is that what you get paid to do? Quote shit all day.”
“That isn’t a light threat to be making.” He says ignoring her arrogant quip.
“Absolutely not. That’s why it wasn’t a threat counselor. It was a promise. A promise I unfortunately wasn’t able to make good on, Because someone got their hands on her before I could.”
“So you’re saying you would’ve done it?”
“Most definitely. She was a disrespectful, entitled brat who challenged me as soon as she stepped foot in my country. Under Wakanda’s laws I could’ve honestly done whatever I wanted to her.”
“And why should we believe that you didn’t?”
“Because she was with my wife.”
“And weren’t you and your wife in an altercation moments before the incident. Causing her to leave with Ms.Taylor. Am I correct?”
Shuri nods, signaling the man to get to the point.
“Did that not anger you?” Shuri answered simply.
“No”
“Is that right? Is it not true that you were diagnosed with intermittent explosive disorder when you were a teen?” Shuri laughed
“Wow. Did your research.”
“That’s my job. Your highness.” He said finally acknowledging her sarcasm from early on. “And you were placed into the care of your wife. That’s how you met right?”
“The point.” Shuri stated. Bored.
“Gladly. You needed her. You started loosing your mind when she left you. Having episodes again. Somehow you in your deranged state, masking, convinced your wife to not sign the papers and come back to the palace with you. You distracted her and Ms. Taylor for a moment and set them up!”
“I WOULD NEVER HARM A FUCKING HAIR ON MY WIFES HEAD!!”

Back in the Days
“We simply can not take it anymore. We’re reaching out to you all because we’ve heard wonderful things about your daughter and her herbs. Maybe she would be able to help our Shuri regulate herself”
Your mother looked over at your father, afraid of what the Queen was asking of them. The Princess of Wakanda was a known menace to the country. Easily angered and dangerous at her core. It had been ruled a mental disorder but it did not stop those around her from fearing her. Asking them to allow her under the care of their precious y/n was frieghtening.
“Ikumkani wam, we have great respect for you and your family. However, I need to know that my daughter will be safe. And your Shuri.. She is a known trouble maker. Known for causing harm.”
“I understand, but she only needs the proper care. The treatments that she is getting now are not working. Maybe your girl has what she needs. I guarantee her saftey will be our top priority.”
“How about we schedule a meeting between the two and see where it leads.”
Tumblr media
“There she is! My beautiful sister. How are you feeling today, sthandwa sam?” Shuri and Tolu only glanced from the television for a brief moment to acknowledge T’Challas presence.
“Hello, brother. What brings you down to visit the problem child?”
“You know I never need a reason to come visit my love. However, today I do have one.”
Shuri looked back at her brother as he opened the door to her room wider. In walked a girl. Not like any girl Shuri had ever seen. Her golden skin perfectly sun kissed, with beautiful shoulder length locs, and big doe eyes. Shuri was immediately intrigued, leaning up on her bed causing Tolu to turn and pay attention to what was happening. You look around the room taking in the luxirious surroundings until your eyes fell onto Shuri. You watched her give you a once over before you smiled speaking to her.
“Hello.” You state softly.
“H-hello.” Both T’Challa and Tolu looked on in shock. Having never seen Shuri get stuck or be soft with anyone new.
“Um. This Y/n Aku. She is also a young prodigy. An herbalist. Mother thinks that it’s best that we change the route of your treatment. She feels as though this young lady can help with that.”
“An herbalist huh? And just how do you think you can be of service to me? Nothing anyone else has done has helped. What is different about you?”
You stood and thought for a moment before, looking her in the eye and answering. “Like you I am young and open minded. I cater the care I give to the specific individual. What I feel will be best for YOU and what YOU need. I never give generalized care.”
“And what is your process?”
“If you’ll have me. I’d need to spend lots of time with you. Learn your habits, and your triggers so that I can properly treat you.” Shuri smiled leaning back against her headboard.
“Sold, I look forward to spending time with you. Y/n.” You both hold eachothers stare smiling from ear to ear.

Tolu and Shuri walked through the markets. Shuri with an unusual Pep in her step. Her usual cold, hard demeanor had softened a bit. Tolu stared at the side of Shuri’s face smiling at the her joy.
“Look at you. What’s got you in such a great mood?” Shuri looks at Tolu a small smile on her face.
“I think I’m in love Tolu.” She looks at Shuri shocked.
“It’s been 3 months. Is that an accurate amount of time to measure love?” Tolu raised her eyebrow in Shuri’s direction.
“You’re friends with her. You see what I see. How easy she is to love. Tolu, she’s wonderful. I’ve never met anyone as brilliant and beautiful as her. She’s see’s who I am fully and has yet to judge me.” She walks infront of Tolu interrupting her stride.
“I’d like to ask her to be my girlfriend.” Tolu smiled
“What makes you think she wants your evil ass.” They share a laugh.
“Honestly, I think she likes it.” Shuri smiles. Tolu punched her in the arm as they continue their walk. “Me too, Me too Udaku.”
“GET OFF OF ME! LET ME GO!!” Everyone around Shuri and Tolu looked around at eachother trying to see were the sound was coming from. Tolu looked ahead of her to see a commotion a bit further up the road. Three men attempted to snatch something from a girl who appeared to be holding her own under the circumstances. She squinted her eyes trying to get a better look and her face fell when she recognized the silhouette.
“Shuri. That’s Y/n!!” Before Tolu could get the words out Shuri was halfway to the scene and the markets started to scatter. The people immediately going into hiding. Tolu followed right behind Shuri, both running full throttle. Shuri got to you pulling the first man she saw back by the neck.
“Aarrgh” She pierced his pulse point underneath his ear with all her might knocking him to the ground. Tolu came in with a swift kick to the side of one of the men’s face. Leaving you with the last. You took your nails digging them into the man’s eyes as your knee came up to meet his groin. “Mka (Fuck you)” you say as he fell to his knees screaming out. Tolu grabbed you pulling you away from the men. As you ran away you watched as people looked on in horror. You didn’t see Shuri with the two of you and panicked.
“Tolu! Shuri! Where’s Shuri?!”
“Don’t worry about her she’ll be ok!”
“No we have to go get her!” You pull away turning around to run back, but Tolu grabbed you by the waist pulling you against her to stop you from going back. “No y/n! She’s not Shuri right now. You can’t go over there.” She whispered in your ear as you struggled against her. When you stopped and looked straight ahead you saw it. The demon inside of her. Her eyes had blackened and veins protruded from her neck and forehead. She had a man by the throat slamming his head against the ground repeatedly, before repeating with each man. You stood stark still inside Tolu’s arms watching the horrific scene infront of you. Terror filling you as blood splattered on Shuri’s face. But, there was another thing bubbling deep inside of you…. Intrigue, desire. As everyone watched her in horror, you only wanted to get closer.
You removed Tolu’s arms from around your waist calmly stepping forward. “S-shuri?” You say. She kept going oblivious to the world around her. “Shuri!” You spoke this time with power. The sound of your voice snapping her into reality. The men were dead. “That’s enough mhlobo wam. Come to me.” Shuri stood to her feet, wiping her blood smeared hands onto her clothes. You shook with fear and anticipation as she walked timidly over to you. Her mind had immediately snapped from her murderous thoughts, to the thought that she had frightened you away with the scene she had made.
“I-I it’s not usually that extreme I-” Shuri says once in front of you. You shush her with your pointer finger to her lips. Everyone still hidden watching in fear of what was to come from the young girl they deemed a psychopath.
“I have something for you.” You say voice trembling as Tolu stood behind you, but close enough to protect. “Do you mind if I give it to you now?”
Shuri nodded. Unable to look you in the eye afraid that behind your usual glow would be the same judgement she’d always received.”
You dig into your bag pulling out a perfectly rolled blunt.
“This is tyutu. An herb blend that I believe will help you control your urges a bit better. It wil work perfectly for you.” You placed it against her lips, and she accepted it. Pulling out a lighter you lit it for her. “Relax. Take a puff, hold it a moment, and release the smoke from your mouth.” Shuri did as you said. Once she released the smoke a series of coughs followed. You rubbed her back. “See. This proves it. You are no monster. You’re human. A born protector.” Shuri looked at you a tear sliding from her eye. “You could also ingest this through food, or drink, this is the only thing I had in the moment. Anyway you want it I could make it for you.”
Once Shuri calmed from her coughing fit she focused in on your eyes. No judgement. Only your usual sincerity. “I like it.” She says. You smile as she tries another puff. This one going much smoother. You step up to her touching the side of her bloodied face. “It will be better now sthandwa.” You bring your lips to hers placing a light kiss to her lips taking her breath away. “Thank you, Udaku. Let’s get you home.”
You grabbed her hand as Shuri continued to puff on her herbs. Tolu took her place in front of you both, mugging anyone who dare to look too long. The three of you were a sight to see and that day was the start of an inseparable bond.

“I would never hurt my wife. She is what keeps me sane. She saved my life. I could never hurt her.” A tear rolled down her cheek that she quickly wiped away.
“Well your highness. We’re all waiting..What happened to your wife and Ms.Taylor. And where is Riri Williams?

The day it happened
Riri stormed out of the Citadel barreling towards Teyana.
“Why the fuck are you standing out here when you should be inside with your girl!”
“The Queen ain’t letting me in!” Teyana shrugged.
“Who gives a fuck! Break some doors down show her you  don’t play any games!”
“Who the fuck do you think I am! It’s obvious that woman doesn’t play about her wife, and y/n is head over heels for her too. There’s no breaking that bond.” Your driver steps out of the car and Riri cuts her eyes towards him.
“I’m just stepping away for a smoke.” He said, his hands up defensively as he walks away. That’s when it came to her. A perfect plan.
“Fuck that. I’m gonna get you in. Go inside and stir some shit up at the lab. You won’t be able to get into the lab, but cause a little trouble looking for her. I’ll triple what I’m paying you now.” Teyana’s eyebrows shot up in excitement. “Bet! Whatever you say boss!”
Riri snuck off with Teyana, getting her inside the palace, pointing her in the direction she should go. Once Teyana was on her mission Riri snuck back out to the cars. Smiling, she rolled up her sleeves and got to work.

“Yo. I heard my girl was in here I’m just trying to get her. Im ready to get the fuck out of here!”
“Panther there is a disturbance in front of the lab.” Says Griot. You all look at each other and head toward the commotion. When the lab doors opened Teyana, was heemed up hands behind her back as a Dora pulled her into submission.
“Well, well, well my love. You could’ve done a much better job training this one. She seems to enjoy trouble.” Shuri signaled for the Dora to let her go. She slowly walked up to Teyana as Teyana grilled her unafraid. Suddenly, Shuri reeled back punching Teyana in the stomach causing her to double over in pain gasping for air. “Shuri!” You scream. She ignored you squatting down to get ear level with Teyana. “I thought I made very clear how unwelcome you were in my home.” She tapped the side of her face with the back of her hand. Her rings scraping her skin.
“Hm. Nothing to say?….. Let me let you in on a bit of a secret I don’t enjoy repeating myself.” Shuri stood with an upper cut to Teyana’s chin. Knocking her right out of her doubled over state straight into her flying backwards and sliding across the floor. Shuri followed her body as it slid. She rolled up the sleeves to her blazer as she once again got into a squat next to the struggling girl who’s wind had been knocked out of her. “I bet the inside of that car is looking like the place to be right now huh?” Shuri chuckled.
Teyana let out a huff. Trying to speak. “Aww look ubusi. Speechless. What happened to all of that mouth?”
“Shuri that’s enough she’s done nothing to you.”
“Au contraire my love she’s done plenty.” Teyana huffed again. Gaining the air back to her lungs “L-leave.” She says her voice coming out strained. “She wants to leave now baby. You’ve had so much to say today. I’d hate for you to go before you get everything you’ve asked for.” At that moment Riri rounded the corner headed to the lab seemingly on a mission. Your eyes narrowed. The thought of her manipulating and violating your wife making your blood boil.
“Baby what is this bitch doing back in our home.” Riri says as she walks up on Shuri. Shuri’s breath hitches as you take a step forward. “Bitch you’ve got audacity. We all know the shit you pulled to cause all of this confusion. The lengths you went to make Shuri want you. How desperate of a bitch do you have to be to create a synthetic love.”
Riri stepped into your space. “There was nothing synthetic about my fingers deep inside of her pussy was it?” Your fist immediatly came across Riri’s face and you didn’t stop raining punches down on her until the two of you were backed up into the lab. Riri had fallen holding onto one of the lab tables for dear life as you continued to use her face as a punching bag. Tolu noticed Riri gripping the sides of the table to gain momentum to bring her legs up to kick you in the stomach. “Y/N! No you’re pregnant!” Tolu screamed as she ran toward you pushing you out of the way.
“You wha-?” Shuri spoke softly behind all of the commotion. The air had been sucked out of the room Riri had slid to the floor on the side of the lab table. To hurt to react to the news. You turn and look to Shuri to see her standing stuck at the entrance of the lab. You swallow, your eyes down cast unable to look at her. You heard the click of her heels through the deafening silence approach you. She stopped just in front of you. “Y/n. You’re what?” She says again. Your eyes still on your feet. “I’m pregnant.” You whispered and you could hear Shuri’s breath hitch.
“How far along?”
“Almost 4 months.” Shuri began to tear up.
“Th-that’s further than last time. Much further Mfazi.” She stepped up and went to her knees in front of you. Eye level to your stomach. Still not showing. “You. You’re still so small my love are you sure. Have you been going to the doctor? Is it a real pregnancy love?” You place your hands on the top of her head finally looking at her, seeing the joy and fear in her eyes. “Baby, listen.” You stepped up guiding her ear to your tummy where she could hear the strong heart beat of your baby. “Oh Bast!” She gasped tears dropping, falling freely from her eyes. “You’re pregnant. Holy shit you’re pregnant sthandwa!!!” She stood swooping you up in her arms, you giggled as she swirled you around, holding tightly to her with your face nuzzled into her neck.
When…
“AAAAAAAAGGGHHH!!!” Riri was up on her feet charging at the two of you. Determined to cause you harm. You couldnt be. There’s no way you were having Shuri’s child. Before she could reach you. Tolu swooped in knocking her to her back. Riri stood. A different type of determination in her eyes. As she decides to go toe to toe with Tolu. She starts backing up bringing Tolu forward as she swung every hit landing. But Riri was on a mission. As Riri got closer to her destination. Tolu landed a spinning kick that spun Riri knocking her face first into the table knocking her completely out.
“That’s what the fuck I’m talking about Lu!!” You yell. Shuri stood next to you looking down at you with a tender smile on her face. “What are we going to do with her baby?”
“OOOhhh no. We *points between the two of you* aren’t doing anything with her. You *points at you, are going to get in your car and head to Tolu’s and send that fleshy uselessness you brought to my country back to where you got her from. Because you’re not getting hurt nor leaving Wakanda while carrying my child.”
“But Mfazi-“
“Mfazi, mfazi, mfazi, you will do as I say eh. I will meet you there when we are done here. I promise you my beautiful bride. You’ve done enough. It’s time for me to clean up my mess. Now go.” She sent you away with a kiss to the lips, and a slap on the ass. You smiled, slowly stepping away and turning to leave the lab.
“Hate to see you go sthandwa. But love to watch you leave.” Shuri says behind you. You toss a glance over your shoulder giving her a wink and a smile before exiting the lab. Shuri turned back to Tolu who was now directly infront of her handing her a pair of gloves.
Shuri took them sliding them onto her hands. “Take her to the room”
Tumblr media
You walk out to your car. This time your driver stood outside of your door waiting for you. He opens the door and you slide in to see Teyana leaned against the car door in a bloodied ball.
You shook your head. “I gave you all the tools for success and this is what you chose.”
“I wanna go home.”
“Gladly. You should be grateful you have the opportunity.”
The ride was silent, that is until the car slowly began to shake. Your heart dropped to the pit of your stomach. Knowing something was wrong immediately. “What’s going on?” You ask the driver. “I have no idea ma’am. I’m finding a safe area for us to pull over.” The shaking only proceeded to get worse. Causing Teyana to sit up in her seat.
“Pull over now!” You yell at the driver. He immediately swerves to the right to pull over, but looses control. The wheel locks and the breaks go out as parts of the car start to fly off!
“Bast, oh bast please no!”
“Yo! What the fuck is happening!! Stop this bitch!”
“I CAN’T! I’ve tried everything! You have to brace yourselves for impact!!”
“My baby! My baby!” You scream as you hold on for dear life with your eyes closed. The car was now at full speed sliding down the road sideway on two tires. Their was a light pole made of vibranium straight ahead. At the last minute you hit the emergency button on your Kimoyo beads. It would immediately notify Shuri that something was wrong. Soon after the car hit the pole seperating the front from the back. The wheels almost disintegrating. Both parts of the car spin out of control. You and Teyana went spinning before being slammed into the side of a building.
“Panther. There is a distress signal being sent by your wife.”
Shuri’s attention was snatched away from Tolu dragging Riri’s limp body into her torture chamber. Tolu dropped Riri in the center of the room as Shuri tried to contact her wife.
“Griot scan the scene.” Shuri says her heart pounding in her chest. Soon after a hologram of the scene of the accident was projected from her beads. Shuri’s heart almost stops.
“Griot. What are my wife’s vitals?!”
“Systolic 60, diastolic 40, heart rate at 48 bpm.” Shuri started to choke.
“We have to go Lu! We have to fucking go NOW!” They both take off as Shuri placed her beads to her necklace. Her Panther suit morphing to her body. She tossed her keys to Tolu as she took off ahead of her to get to the scene. Tolu hopped into Shuri’s car. “Griot take me to Y/n”
“Yes, War Dog” The car immediately took off full speed getting her to her destination. When Shuri and Tolu got to the scene the paramedics were already there. Shuri watched as two body bags where being placed into the back of the ambulances her wife nowhere to be found.
“Where is my wife!? Where is she!? Her beads, they said she was here! Where is my fucking Wife?!” Shuri went through every individual on the scene. Snatching paramedics by the collar and tossing them aside like nothing. Tolu ran up to her. “Shuri! Shuri! You’ve got to calm yourself. We can’t get answers like this. Let me handle it. Breathe a moment ok?” Shuri remained where she was as Tolu ran to  get information. Shuri zoned out hoping it was all a dream.
“Shuri. They say she was taken from the scene immediately when they saw who she was. Just come get in the car and let’s get to her ok.”
They both took off to Shuri’s car heading to the hospital. Shuri removed her Panther suit. Sitting staring out of the passenger window of the car staring into the night sky. Praying her wife and child were safe.
Shuri rushed into the building as soon as the car stopped. Running up to the front desk. The receptionist stood as she recognized the queen running in her direction.
“Ikumkani wam. Your wife was taken up to trauma bay 1.  She is in surgery.”
“What happened? How was she injured?” Out of breath from the fear and adrenaline. Shuri shot out questions at the woman.
“I-I’m not sure your highness. She’s on the top floor and if you go up I’m sure her doctors can tell you everything you need to know.” She said her head down afraid to make eye contact.
“Thank you.” Shuri says nonchalantly, walking away from the desk heading to the elevator with Tolu on her heels.
Shuri leans against the back wall of the elevator. Her chin dropping to her chest as she tried to control her breathing. “She’s going to be ok Shuri. Her and the baby are going to be fine. You guys will be happy, and loved. And don’t forget well protected by your war dog.” She smiled. Shuri sniffled with a chuckle. “I’m scared Lu. This shit is all on me. She was right none of this would be happening if I’d just sent the girl home.”
“Well you didn’t. And here we are. No need beating yourself up over it. Shit happened, mistakes were made. What’s important right now is that your family is ok.”
“You knew she was pregnant the entire time huh?”
“I was there when she found out. I’ve also been to every appointment.” Shuri smirked.
“Ofcourse you have.”
“She wanted to wait for you. To know what the two of you were having.”  Shuri stared at Tolu only sniffling in reply.
The elevator stopped at their floor, as they continued to look at eachother for reassurance before stepping off. A nurse runs over promptly as soon as Shuri is spotted.
“You’re highness, if you could follow me to your private waiting area. I will fill you in on what is happening.” Shuri and Tolu gladly followed. Once inside of the room the nurse filled them in on what is happening.
“Would you like some water or anything?”
“Just tell me what is happening with my wife.” The nurse nods.
“Your wife was rushed into surgery. She had some broken ribs, a collapsed lung, internal bleeding, and also a small brain bleed. The doctors are doing all that they can. But. I’m sorry to say…. It’s not looking promising. Her BP was very low on arrival and she bleed profusely into her stomach.” Shuri let out a shakey breath, her knees weakening. Tolu walked up beside her grabbing and squeezing her hand. Keeping her upright.
“The baby.” She whispered the only words she could manage. The nurse smiled. “You’ve got a little fighter baby’s hanging in there. Her mama protected her with her life.”
“H-her. I-it’s a girl?” Shuri looked at the nurse.
“I’m so sorry. You didn’t know?”
“No. It’s fine. Thank you.” Shuri motioned for her to leave. Her and Tolu sat knowing there was nothing they could do but wait.
Tumblr media
Riri woke up in the cold concrete room body aching and head pounding. She touched her bloodied and swollen face wincing in pain. She searched her surroundings. There was nothing only a single lightbulb and concrete walls. She ran to the door yanking and pulling trying to get out. She stepped back as far as she could to get a running start running and kicking the door. She heard a crack in her leg and fell to the ground screaming. She curled into a ball crying and rocking on the floor. She was stuck and only God knows what was going to happen to her. Fear finally started setting in. She had gravely underestimated Shuri and her bitch of a wife. She didn’t have time to break right now, she had to figure a way out.
“Mr. Stark? Are you there?”
“Yea kiddo I’m here.”
“Is there a way you can get my suit to me?”
“I’ll see what I can do.”
Her stark AI goes off line for a few moments, and all she could do was wait until it once again turned blue. “I’m back kid stand back.”
She stepped back away from the door just in time for an explosion. There was her suit activated and ready for use. She smiled.
“Let’s get out of here.”
Tumblr media
“Your highness.” Your doctors walk in to greet Shuri giving her the salute. She returns the gesture. “Your wife is out of surgery. We stopped the bleeding into her stomach and the brain bleed. Her and baby are stabilized, But she is in a coma. All we can do now is wait. Baby will be fine as long as her mother is ok.”
Shuri’s eyes welled with tears. She nodded as she bit into her lip. “May I see her?”
“Yes you may.” Shuri looked to Tolu. She put up her hands. “You go ahead I’ll keep watch out here.” Shuri silently walks out as the doctor leads her to the room. She opens the door and what she sees breaks her heart. There were tubes everywhere, machines everywhere monitoring you and the baby. Your head was wrapped up and your face was bruised and swollen. There were large bandages on the left side of your abdomen covering where they’d gone in for surgery and the machines helped you to breathe.
“Oh sthandwa.” Shuri choked out. “Im sorry. Im so sorry.” She stumbled over to the bed. Falling to her knees beside you. “I need you to be ok. I can’t survive without you. I’ll spend the rest of my life making this up to you. Whatever you want my love. If you just get better for me.” She turned her attention to your belly. “My daughter. My beautiful baby girl. I hear your tough. We shall name you Amandla. It means strength, to be strong. How do you feel about that my love?” She says to you holding your hand with tears rolling down her face. “You’re going to be ok. You have to be baby.”
At that moment there was a knock at the door. A nurse walks in along with 3 police officers.
“Your highness.” They salute her as she stands to her feet. Tears still streaming down her cheeks. She returns the gesture. “How can I help you gentleman?”
“Ikumkani wam. We have just left the scene of your wife’s accident, and we have some questions for you?” Shuri’s face frowns up in confusion as she crossed her hands in front of her.
“Concerning?”
“Well, I dont know if you are aware, but your wife’s friend from America perished in the accident.” Shuri raised a brow and shrugged, urging him to continue. “Well, we had to call her family to notify them of her passing. And when we did they notified us that she had seemed to be a bit more than friends with your wife. Urging us to investigate further. It seems as though your wife’s accident wasn’t much of an accident.”
Shuri stepped forward getting closer to the officer speaking to her. Her interest had been peaked. “In what way was it not an accident?”
“It seems as though your wife’s driver lost control of the car about a mile back from the site. Essential parts of the car began to lock up or fall off. Seemed perfectly planned and timed. Really only one person we know intelligent enough to pull off something so intricate.”
At that moment Shuri’s kimoyo beads went off. A notification informing her of a breech in the security system of her torture room. Darkness. Darkness covered Shuri’s face as the good parts of her retracted themselves inside of her, and the demon had once again taken over. She looked up at the officers.
“It would seem so.” She says the change in her voice and demeanor striking.
“We’ve come here to warn you your highness. The Americans are finding a way to come for you. Apparently, your wife’s friend had been connected to some very powerful people. They have forced the information out of us. There is not much time.”
Shuri gave a small nod “Thank you gentleman. I would like to be alone with my wife now.”
“Ewe” They each say giving a salute before leaving the room and closing the door behind them.
Shuri walks over to your bed, grabs and caresses your hand. “It seems as though things are about to get hairy my dear. I may not be here for much longer. I pray that if you awaken to my absence that you know it is totally against my will and that I didn’t go down without a fight. She did this to you and my child. And she will suffer the consequences.” She brought your hand to her mouth, planting a long kiss before placing it down, placing another soft kiss to your belly. “My Amandla, stay strong ubusi.” She slowly backed away and with on last glance over her shoulder she stepped out of the room where she found Tolu standing in wait.
Shuri’s demeanor was hard. There was no more light in her eyes. And Tolu knew, they were going to war.
“Tolu, daughter of Yemah”
Tolu stepped up standing at attention in front of Shuri.
“Yes, Panther”
Shuri stepped closer to her leaning forward almost whispering in Tolu’s ear.
“Go get that bitch.”
On command, Tolu gave her war salute crossing her arms over her chest tapping her beads together twice making her swords appear as she went down on one knee in a kneel to Shuri. Her swords drawn straight out behind her. With that Shuri turned to walk away, and Tolu stood to her feet headed in the opposite direction. On a hunt for Riri Williams.
Tumblr media
Tolu entered the Palace on a mission. Determined to find the woman responsible for all of the chaos. She went to where they had left her, only to find a hole where the door used to be. Tolu turned looking for clues of where she could possibly be when she heard a noise and the lights cut out. Tolu pulled out her swords and began a tactical walk through the back halls of the lab.
“Run rabbit run!” Tolu laughed. “I love the chase.” She heard the whining of metal behind her, a small step being taken. She smiled and continued to move forward. “You know Shuri’s on to you. She knows everything. Even your little attempt on her wife’s life. Killed everyone except her. For a genius. You’re really bad at accomplishing your goal.” Tolu felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand and she quickly turned jamming her blade into the side of Riri’s suit.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk. Damn! All that hard work! Down the drain. You know Shuri had a feeling you might try to use your suit. Taught me right where to disarm it.” Another slice to the other side of Riri’s suit hit hard, knocking her to her knees.
“Aaarrgh!” Riri yelled. “Fuck you and your little friend I hope her and that little mutant she’s growing dies where she lies!” Tolu smirked.
“Oouuu there’s another little trick Shuri showed me too.” She crouched down to Riri’s level. Want to see it.” Before Riri could answer Tolu took the blade of her sword and began to press it into the heart of Riri’s suit. She pressed  until the suit completely out circuited, but she didn’t stop there. She kept pressing until the blade was pressing into Riri’s chest. Riri’s eyes  widened as she realized what was happening. Tolu was going to take her life.
“If she does die. You two will pass by eachother as you head in opposite directions. Any last words?”
Riri huffed. “Yes…Tell Shuri I love her.”
Tolu pulled the sword from Riri’s chest bringing it above her to slam it back into her chest when suddenly Riri knocked the sword from her hand using the vibranium from her suit to knock Tolu backwards. She pulled the arm of her suit from her right arm where she had been holding onto a toxic substance that she’d grabbed from the desk and snuck into her bra before Tolu knocked her unconscious earlier. She squeezed her hand bursting the bag and rubbed the calcium ammonium nitrate into Tolu’s eyes. Tolu screamed bloody murder! Riri reached for Tolu’s sword. Grabbing it and bringing it above her head to jam it into Tolu’s chest.
A hand comes out of nowhere out of the darkness. Gripping Riri’s wrist painfully tight. Shuri’s face appears out of the darkness.
Tumblr media
“Queen Shuri Udaku! Come out with your hands up!” The Citadal was surrounded. The other Avengers where the only outsiders with access to Wakanda. They’d all turned on her. Allowed America to turn her into some type of murderous danger when she was completely innocent. Though right now she didn’t look it. She stepped out of her home, blood dripping from her fingertips. Smeared all over her clothes and face. Her eyes black and pupils dialated with blood lust. Her nostrils flared as spotlights fell onto her. She looked into the sky turning slowly, staring at all her comrades here to take her in.
“This is what it’s come to!” She speaks so all can hear. “You all have been welcomed into my country once, and the next time you enter you’ve turned against me!” She yelled at the top of her lungs her canines protruded, as spit flew from her mouth. She was deranged.
“When my innocence is proven this will not be a partnership easily restored! YOU ALL WILL FEEL THE WRATH OF SHURI UDAKU!! I’LL BE YOUR WORSE FUCKING NIGHTMARE!!” Shuri laughs manically as everyone swooped in to take her down.
There she was in her own country. Laying flat on her belly being handcuffed and extradited to the states for the murder of Teyana Taylor, and the attempted murder of her wife and child. Later they would realize that Riri Williams had gone missing, and through the blood samples they’d taken from Shuri upon her arrival they’d ruled her disappearance a homicide as well.
Tumblr media
“So you’re telling me all of this started because Riri Williams had a crush on you.” The councilor spoke.
“SHE’S A LIAR!! MY BABY WOULD NEVER DO THAT! SHES A BEAUTIFUL INTELLIGENT WOMAN! SHE COULD’VE HAD ANYONE SHE WANTED! SHE’S A DAMN LIAR.” Shuri sat back once again finding humor in the situation. As the bailiff grabbed Riri’s mother to escort her out of the courtroom.
“Hate to break it to you mama! Your daughter is a psychopath! And she’s also alive! She tried to kill my wife and child and set me up for the murder!”
“Well why were you covered in her blood when we picked you up.”
“I told you before she left, she got into an altercation with my friend over there and blinded her! Dear Bast! I had to protect her. But she ran off. What a menace!! You guys should really get her off of the street! While you’re all sitting here wasting time with me she could be out there controlling minds and blinding people!” Shuri says in faux appall, before chuckling.
At that moment the courtroom doors fly open. Two members of the Dora Milaje standing, holding the doors open. You round the corner strutting into the courtroom with your head held high. Your brown dress with a connected shawl that wrapped over your head, under your left arm and over your right clung to your body as your belly now slightly protruded with a bump from your healthy baby girl. Shuri’s mouth dropped and tears welled in her eyes, as the courtroom erupted in talk.
“Oh my God!”
“It’s the Queens wife!”
You walk right past all of the commotion and step past the border without a word, a manilla envelope in hand packed to the brim. You approach the judges bench placing the envelope infront of her. You turn away, but not before tossing a wink at your now dumbfounded wife. You walk away taking a seat in the empty chair next to Tolu. Shuri stared in your direction her chest rising and falling slowly but heavily. Was she seeing correctly? It was you. It was really you.
The judge emptied the contents of the envelope onto the desk scanning over each object closely while everyone sat on the edge of their seats wondering what the wife of the queen had brung.
“Will the Plantiff and Defendant please approach the bench.” Shuri stood coming down from the stand and approaching the bench along with the defendants council.
“It seems as though we have evidence that links Riri Williams to the cause of the accident. And there are multiple witnesses in Wakanda that have reported sightings of her and even photos.” Shuri’s head lifted, biting her lip to contain the smile spreading across her face.
“Your highness, we are very sorry to have wasted your time, and it is with great honor that I dismiss this case.” The judge bangs her gavel and the courtroom goes wild. The defendants side shouted threats and slurs, as the plaintiffs side rejoiced. Overjoyed that their queen was returning home.
Shuri turned around, all the family that she had left and built after loosing her immediate family standing front row with smiles taking over their faces. But the only face she could care about at the moment was one that she hadn’t seen in three months. Their you stood looking beautiful as ever with your smaller than usual seven month pregnant pudge. A sudden calm washed over Shuri as the tears finally fell. A weight lifting off of her shoulders. You stepped forward, the two of you making your way to eachother slowly. This was surreal.  You met in the center of the room just standing and looking at eachother.
“I can’t believe you’re here my love. W-when did you come out? Why did no one say anything?”
“About a month ago. No one said anything for the same reason noone told me about your predicament for awhile. They thought they were protecting us. I figured it out after about a week though. They’d been working deligently to get you out, and when we finally got all of the evidence needed I knew I wanted to be here. Nothing in the world could have stopped me.” Shuri smiled licking her lip and reaching out for your belly. She placed her hand gently on your belly bending down to speak. “My little Amandla you made it back to me strong girl. Your umama is proud of you.”
A tear trickled down your face. “You named her?” Shuri stood upright nodding. “If that’s ok with you Ubusi.” You smiled. “I love it. Our little Amandla Udaku.” Shuri stepped forward wrapping her arms around you.
“If I’ve learned anything in the time passed my sweet y/n. It is that I cannot live my life without you. You breathe life into me and with every bit of my being I will do what it takes to protect you and our daughter. For the rest of my days.”
“I love you Shuri Udaku”
Shuri swooped you up in her arms bridal style. You grabbed her face bringing it to yours and you kissed like no one else was in the room.
Shuri pulled away with a smile on here face.
“I have a gift for you. Let’s get you home.”
And she walked out of the courtroom with you in her arms.
Tumblr media
Shuri lead you down the dark hall to a room with several locks. She took her time unlocking each one. And turned to you smiling.
“You ready for this my love!”
“Stop stalling and open the door already Shuri.” You giggled. The door opened and Shuri flicked on the lights. There….was a bloody and bruised Riri Williams hanging from her wrist from the ceiling.” You’re eyes were wide in shock at the sight of her. Slash marks all over her body her finger nails missing. Her finger tips burnt.
“Watch this my love.” Shuri flicked a switch and Riri was jolted awake by electricity.
When her head lifted you noticed that her eyes were gone.
“Please. Please kill me! I can’t live like this anymore. Tell my mama I love her and I’m sorry.” Her voice was raspy from dehydration and her constant screams.
“Awww come on now they tell me you enjoyed some of it. Like our little game of cat mouse. See babe. We let her loose some times. Let the goons hunt her and whoever brought her back got a prize! I figured she liked that one.”
“Oh My God Shuri!” Tears poured down your face. You looked to her your facial expression stuck in shock.
“For me? You did all of this for me?” You asked. She walked towards you grabbing your waist pulling into you. “Yes my love. All for you. I’d place all the starts at your feet if you just give me the time. This was due to you.”
You smiled, lifting your chin to place a loving kiss to Shuri’s lips. And then another and another. The kiss quickly turned from innocent to lustfilled. Shuri began pushing you back against the wall as the two of you felt all over eachothers bodies. You began to slide Shuri’s cream suit jacket from her shoulders allowing it to drop to the floor. As she pressed your body into the wall you began to unbutton her pants as you kissed sloppily. Once her pants were unbuttoned you placed your hands underneath her crisp white button up, reaching up underneath until you were fondling her breast underneath her bra. She through her head back moaning at your touch. You lifted your leg. Rubbing it up and down hers hinting at wanting her to pick you up.
She obliged
“I pictured our reunion over and over again sthandwa. And I couldn’t have imagined anything more romantic than this.” Shuri spoke against your lips. You hum in agreement. Taking your arms from around Shuri’s neck you find her wrist and pressing your favorite button on her Kimoyo beads, you’d take the same hand and tech inbetween the two of you, guiding her strap inside of you. Your eyes rolled back and your mouth dropped, as your head fell back agains the wall. You’d missed your wife. Shuri took the opportunity to attack your neck kissing biting and sucking as she began to thrust into you.
“Yes! Yes fuck me like the fucking demon you are my love.” She growls into your ear and takes it up a notch.
“Oh God Riri! If only you could see this! I can only imagine were a sight to see!” You giggle “But I heard you enjoy listening.” A groan came from Riri as she began to cry.
“Please. Please let me die!”
“Ahhhhh! Oh babe. Her tears make me so horny! Uhn im ready to cum already!” Shuri thrust deeper and harder giving you her all as you scream out your pleasure.
“Come for me my Angel. I’m right behind you.” Shuri’s breathing was sporadic, her eyes wild as she drooled onto your breast.
“Ooouuuuu Fuck me!!! I’m cumming Shuri! I’m going to cum so hard all over you.” A few more pumps and your release was splashing all over Shuri causing her to follow right behind you. The two of you held eachother in orgasmic bliss as Riri cried.
Shuri pulled out of you. Letting your legs that she had spread up against the wall down one by one. You fixed your dress and strolled over to where Riri hang. “Oh my love. I think she’s happy here.” Shuri buckled her pants over by the wall. Her clothes were a mess but she didn’t care to fix them. She looked on the outside now exactly as she was on the inside.
EVIL.
“She does huh? I was going to leave her fate to you. Let you take her out of her misery. Or release her and let her live her life this way.”
“Just let me die! Just let me die please!” You walk around her body giving her a once over. “Hmm. Let me think on it love. For now let’s go take a bath.” You grab Shuri’s hand leading her to the door as Riri screamed after you.
“No! Nononononono don’t leave me like this! I can’t take it any more!”
You turned out the light and Shuri closed the door behind the two of you.
Tumblr media
Riri hung there. Crying. Darkness was the only thing she knew now. This was something she never thought Shuri capable of. Pure evil. None of what she’d done had been worth this. All she wanted was to die. To be taken out of her misery. She heard a noise. The door was opening and all she could do was hang there. Her voice gone from all the screaming.
“Well, well, well. This is unfortunate.” Tolu’s voice rang throughout the room. Causing Riri’s lip to tremble.
“I’ve come to do a job once again. A job that I can be honest and say I really don’t want to do. See my bosses. They’re so loving, so kind. If I were them I’d let you rot here in your mess. Die a slow, painful, torturous death. *sigh* But! Unfortunately they’ve agreed to take you out of your misery.”
Tolu removed a gun from her waist pointing it straight between Riri’s eyes.
“Any last words.”
Riri could only let out a hoarse “Thank you”.
Tolu removed her shades, looking Riri over. “No. Thank you for the eyes, so that I can enjoy seeing you suffer in your final moments. But keep in mind this relief did not come from me. This my dear….
Is a gift….” Tolu pulled back the hammer.
“From the Udaku’s”
*BANG!*

my shuri headcanons 𓃠
a dump of my thoughts because i love her and she’s taken over my mind
Tumblr media
• on the trans/nonbinary spectrum. more specifically a demigirl and doesn’t care what pronouns you use on him. owns a binder for specific days that she wants her chest to look flat.
• very lesbian. her heart is for women and non-men 🏳️‍🌈
• i view her as a stud or a stem. it depends on how i’m feeling atm.
• she’s not just a nerd in the science sense she’s a huge fandom geek and has a stan twitter account to talk about her interests.
• also has fan edits of her favorite characters and interests saved on her phone. probably makes her own edits too.
• average minecraft enjoyer (she’s obsessed)
• reads a lot of wlw comics, novels, and other media bc they’re a gay ass.
• has AuDHD, argue with ur mama.
• is almost always seen wearing noise cancelling headphones or earbuds because she gets overstimulated at times. when she visits riri in chicago for the first time, the constant loud city noise is something he’s not used to. he had forgot to pack the headphones he made for himself so riri makes him a custom made pair to help him relax. they end up using riri’s more than their own. (riri indulgently put small cat ears on the top of them and shuri almost cried at the sight).
• catgirl energy. riri may make her look tall but that’s still a 5’5 girl twink that stopped growing at age 13. she’s small and likes to sit on counters, lab tables, the floor and any other weird place that’s not meant to be sat on. she curls up in a ball when she sleeps alone, and if she’s in the bed with someone else her limbs are all over their body. has cute sounding sneezes that m’baku makes fun of her for. one of the lab workers once found her asleep in a random corner of the room. naturally very light-footed and basically has human toe beans, making it very easy to sneak up on people without them hearing.
• has quite a few fidget toys to help her focus on work in the lab and ease her anxiety. a rubik’s cube, fidget spinners, stress ball, pop its, etc.
• she stims. so much. especially after she successfully completes a task or experiment and she’ll do a dance or do the lil hand flapping thing. her vocal stims are always random song lyrics or tiktok meme audios lol.
• has a sweet tooth. when okoye was a dora she’d occasionally bring candy or other sweets for her to snack on. riri goes to the store and buys him all the popular american snacks for him to try. nakia always has a mini stash prepared for when they visit her and toussaint in haiti.
• favorite color is purple. it just suits her.
• a GAMER™. she plays all genres but her favs are probably minecraft, puzzle, or rhythm games. did i mention minecraft? she loves it. riri loves rpgs and pvp games the most and has her play smash bros ultimate pretty often. they’re super competitive with each other and both sore losers lmao. shuri got her to play minecraft once and riri kept getting blown up by creepers.
• ↑ she becomes super close with mj, ned, and vivian through riri. they’re always on discord vc together playing games and doing many other things and it’s the most chaotic shit you’ve ever seen.
• if the word ticklish was personified. simply elbowing her in the stomach on accident would get a giggle outta her. every ticklish spot she has is extremely sensitive and you could have her curled up cackling in tears with ease.
• funny as hell for no reason. life of the party fr. she takes her jokester persona very seriously but sometimes she’s hilarious without even trying. the first time she ever smoked weed was with riri in her dorm and riri never laughed so hard in her life that day. shuri was literally all over the place. she’s definitely a lightweight too, just as goofy, giggly, and clingy in her drunken state.
• definitely likes kpop girl groups. I can’t prove it but they love loona you just have to trust me.
• also loves vocaloid and has a hatsune miku figure in her room somewhere. trust me on that.
• has a list of favorite black american artists. riri definitely put her on some r&b classics and less mainstream artists. has a massive celebrity crush on black women rappers.
• music taste is very versatile. her playlist has almost everything. she just can’t listen to one genre only, she’s too open minded and exploratory for that.
• he’s not one to fall in love easily, but when he does he falls hard. riri was the first person he ever fell for and it changed the trajectory of his life, poor thing had no idea what to do with that information.
• a romantic, lovesick loser. cannot flirt to save his life. flustering him is so fucking easy lmao. riri once called him shawty and he malfunctioned for 5 minutes. whenever he’s on the phone with riri his crush is genuinely so obvious to everyone around him. he be giggling and cheesing real hard 😭. kicking his feet squealing on the bed when he’s alone thinking about the cute nickname riri called him.
• her love language is acts of service and gift giving. she’s not always good with words or emotions so she expresses her appreciation towards her loved ones by distributing her wealth in many ways. buying riri things she might need for college, fixing stuff that breaks in nakia’s home. things like that.
• has trouble being vulnerable with those close to her. she’s lost so much, so opening up to new people is always a scary, big step. it took a while for her to let mj, ned, and viv into her heart because the closer she becomes with them, the more it’ll hurt if she loses them. they take her in with open arms regardless, because having a support system with people her age is something she needs. they take her seriously in ways that the elders don’t. they see her for who she is outside of being a royal figure to her country and allows her to be her full, authentic, geeky self. she’s able to grasp onto the youth that she almost lost when her family was taken away.
• very talkative. can infodump about an interest for hours and completely lose track of time if you let them. they cannot stay still when excited, nor can they keep eye contact, pacing around the room and darting their eyes everywhere while rambling about the history of vibrainium or something.
• maladaptive daydreaming. will lose herself in a song and start imagining scenarios in her head. t’challa once caught her in the act and refused to delete the video footage. sometimes, she pulls up the video her brother recorded just to hear his laughter in the background.

“How did you manage to keep that a secret for so long? Especially from mother and Okoye?” Shuri questioned, very impressed with the fact that Namor had been able to sneak into Wakanda to visit you repeatedly over the course of two months, without anyone knowing. You were in the process of returning your jade necklace to its place upon your neck when you glanced at her.
“Believe me, I was tempted to tattle more than once, certainly when he kept coming back…” You murmured, thinking back to your perception of K’uk’ulkan when he had first started dropping by. “But he never once threatened me nor did he come across as scheming or intentionally trying to get government secrets out of me. Eventually he started telling me stories of his people.”
“Really?” Shuri asked, eyebrow arched. “He really must have liked you then.”
“Yeah, well, his company as I found out, was not that bad.” You said with a shrug. “Probably why it wasn’t that hard to agree to an alliance with him. Granted I didn’t exactly realize that by making an alliance meant that I was marrying him.” You sighed in memory of the event. “Probably why he told me several times not to be hasty in that decision.”
“Only you would end up marrying to make an alliance, but have no idea that you were getting married in the first place.” You both snorted because it was true. Shuri tilted her head to the side. “It makes me feel better that he didn’t let you go charging into that decision without a second thought.” She then eyed you. “But I do have to say, sister, you know how to pick voracious men. The number of marks I saw…”
Your face flooded with heat as you covered your eyes, nearly drowning in embarrassment at Shuri seeing the evidence of your… activities. Chuckling, Shuri nudged your shoulder with hers.
“I’m guessing that Namor has great stamina, surprising considering his age.” Your face couldn’t burn any hotter at this point. “I wonder how his refractory period is effected by the blue herb?”
“You are assuming he has one, Shuri,” You whispered meekly. It was almost comical the way Shuri’s eyebrows rose and her eyes widened. For the first time since you had met her so long ago, Shuri was speechless.
“You don’t mean…” You nodded.
“Pretty sure he doesn’t have one, and let me tell you, I have had sore muscles in places I didn’t even know you could be sore in.” Shuri snickered at you, which you punched her in the arm for, before sobering up. “But really, Shuri, you and mama have nothing to worry about.”
“Mother is not going to see it that way.” That you knew. You got your stubbornness from her.
“Naturally,” You sighed before looking to Attuma who had been lurking in the shadows. “Attuma?” The massive warrior stepped forward once more.
“Je’el, in reina,” He spoke, glad to see the color returned to your face and the fire within your eyes once more.
“You are not going to be happy with my decision but I need to go back.” As Griot was translating your words in Yucatec Maya, Shuri was already rejecting you idea.
“Are you out of your mind, Y/N!” Shuri thundered, echoing Attuma’s rapid bursts of words you didn’t understand. “You almost died because you went there and now you want to go back!?” You let them both bluster and explode on you, clearly against your statement of wanting to go back. Arms crossing your chest, you leaned back against a work table and waited for them to stop. You were used to Shuri’s anger and disagreement, and Attuma, while large, intimidating and deadly, did not scare you. You took in a deep breath and gave them both a frank look.
“May I remind you both who the queen is in this room?” You questioned. Shuri’s jaw nearly dropped open and you were fairly sure Attuma’s eye twitched. “Don’t argue with me, I won’t entertain it.”
“I think you’ve fallen into that roll a little too well for my liking, Y/N.” Shuri griped, her eyes still narrowed at you.
“I’m not going to apologize.” You returned, not backing down from her gaze. “Now, you can either come with me and have the knowledge that I am alright. Or you can stay here and be left to wonder.”
“That is quite a cruel decision, even for you.” Shuri responded, both unhappy with your words but impressed by you standing firm with your decision.
“Alls fair in love and war, Shuri,” You reminded her. “And is it not the queen’s duty to make difficult decisions?”
“Ma' ken a kuxtal táan amenazada,” (Not when your life is threatened) Attuma cut in. “K’uk’ulkan ma' yéetel ki'imak.” (K’uk’ulkan will not be happy)
Listening to Griot translate his words, you mulled them over, knowing full well that K’uk’ulkan would indeed be not happy that you had come right back to the place where you had almost died. But you were firm with your decision.
“This is not a request,” You said firmly. “It’s an order.”
Shuri and Attuma exchanged a look, clearly not expecting that from you. But going off technicality, you held the highest rank in the room and therefore, were within your rights to make such a decision and order.
“Fine, but you do not leave our sides, nor do you think about going near any rubble or wreckage.” Shuri stated firmly, pointing a finger at you. “Just because you are queen does not mean that you can wander wherever you want.”
“Duly noted,” You replied, standing up from your lean. “Now I’d like to leave before mother and Ch'ah Toh Almehen rip each others throats out because at this rate? It’s likely to happen.” You said while moving towards the exit. Shuri chased after you with Attuma on her heels.
“Y/N, wait!” You sighed and paused in step, looking back at her.
“What is it you wish to argue about now Shuri?” Shuri reached you and stared into your eyes.
“It’s about the results of some tests I had my team run while you were in the tank.” Shuri began, not knowing how to break the news. What she did know was that she didn’t want Griot to translate what she was about to say. At the very least the Talokanil was lingering several feet away. “Griot don’t translate what I’m about to say.”
“Yes, princess,” The AI replied. You frowned at Shuri’s words, worried about what she had to say that she didn’t want Attuma hearing. Shuri took a deep breath.
“You have trace levels of hCG in your blood, Y/N.” You blinked at her and raised your eyebrow.
“Shuri I have no idea what hGC is, you’re going to have to explain that one to me.”
“The only time hGC can be found within the human body, is during pregnancy.” Shuri explained, watching in your face and attempting to gauge your reaction to that news. You were silent, your mind reeling at the information. Surely it took longer than just ten days, to get pregnant. Don’t be ridiculous, Y/N, all it takes is one time. Your mind pushed aside the knowledge of you being pregnant and focused on another terrifying thought.
“Shuri,” You whispered, your voice deathly quiet. “Shuri I almost died and then proceeded to have an untested medical treatment. I— There’s no way—“
“Look, we’re talking about a pregnancy that isn’t even two weeks along.” Shuri said, taking your hand and giving it a squeeze. “Now, the chances that your recent medical trauma causing a miscarriage are certainly a potential outcome… but it is not a certainty.”
“That’s not helping Shuri, you know how sensitive babies are to medications and such. I just had something that wasn’t designed for even me to have!”
“That does not mean it will affect the fetus, K’uk’ulkan turned out fine.”
“He wasn’t exposed to the heart shaped herb!” You almost shouted, waving an arm. Attuma stepped forwards.
“In reina?” You glanced at him, and collected yourself. Now was not the time to be worrying about this. Let alone thinking about it. You had bigger issues.
“We should just go,” You said, putting that news in the back of your mind. “The fetus probably didn’t survive the trauma of my injuries and isn’t even two weeks along. There’s no point in worrying about something that will probably never come to light. Let’s go.”
You strode away, your fingers picking at the flesh around your wrists as you walked.
It was tense on the ship as you flew back to the beach where your mother and K’uk’ulkan still were. You took to drumming your fingertips on your knee, fidgeting about the idea that even after you had been injured in front of them… your mother and K’uk’ulkan would still go back to fighting. You were up and out of your seat before the ship even touched down on the sand, and the moment it did you were opening the hatch and striding across the sand towards the masses of warriors.
No one was fighting, you were relieved to see, but that didn’t mean your mother and K’uk’ulkan were being cordial with one another. You ignored the looks of relief of those around you, your mind focused on only one thing. The moment you spotted K’uk’ulkan and your mother, all else failed to exist and you got tunnel vision. You were blind to Shuri and Attuma’s efforts to guide you around the carnage, and even waved off Okoye when she approached you. K’uk’ulkan was the first to spot you, feeling your gaze upon his body. To say he was shocked was as understatement. Then your mother noticed that he was staring at something and caught sight of marching towards her.
“Y/N!” She breathed out, feeling a rush of weakness at the sight of you alive and well. They both headed towards you, but K’uk’ulkan was the fastest, zipping in front of you and spouting out words of Yucatec Maya a mile a minute while cradling your face in hand and running his other over your body in search of injury.
“I have no idea what you just said but I am fine.” You told him, allowing his rapid and desperate search for injury upon your body. K’uk’ulkan’s brown eyes narrowed in disbelief, and he held your face in a firmer grasp.
“What are you doing back here!?” He growled at you, his voice rasping and betraying his true state. “In k'iino’ you should not have come back! Your lungs—“
“Are pretty much toast but I don’t need them anymore.” You said, cutting him off as he was about to go on a rant about how foolish it was for you to be up and walking after having taken a piece of metal to the abdomen.
“Y/N, you should not have come, you almost died here in our arms.” Ramonda chastised, more than happy to see you but very displeased that you had come back to the place that nearly killed you. Her eyes shot to Shuri while K’uk’ulkan turned to Attuma, clearly displeased that his general had allowed his queen to return to such danger. Were they not supposed to keep you safe and out of harms way?
“I told you this would haome back to the place that nearly killed you. Her eyes shot to Shuri while K’uk’ulkan turned to Attuma, clearly displeased that his general had allowed his not have come back! Yppen.” Shuri quipped giving you a look. You sglance oa her.
“And do you know how much I care at the moment?” You replied breezily with a scary smile.
“Le Reina k ordenó k’a’,” (The queen ordered us to return) Attuma spoke to his king, bowing his head solemnly. “Ma' in habría arriesgado.” (I wouldn’t have risked it) K’uk’ulkan’s eyebrow went up as he stared at you in disbelief and you could have sworn that your mother would have face palmed herself if she hadn’t been in such company. You lifted your gaze to K’uk’ulkan’s intense brown one and you pressed your fingers against the jade necklace overlaying his traditional one.
“May I remind you,” You enunciated, ensuring that your words were loud and clear to both of them. “That I am a queen who is capable of making her own decisions? I am not for show.”
“Je’el, in reina,” K’uk’ulkan obediently replied, entranced with your spark of fire yet again.
“Now,” You sighed out. “Can you please tell me that you two have come to an agreement?”

Chronicles of Mama Okoye and Riri! III
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Saving All My Love
For as long as Riri could remember, her mother never had a special someone in her life. Now, Riri definitely knew that she would always be #1 in her mother's heart, always. But that's not what she meant! As far as Riri knew, at least, her mom never entertained anything romantic with anyone. Riri recalled one time when she was like 10 that she asked her about it, curiously picking her mom's brain.
Riri: Mama, why don't you have a boyfriend? *she asked from where she was perched on the rails of the porch, swinging her feet* Okoye: *caught off guard* Small girl, where is this coming from? Riri: *shrugs* I see a lot of other people going on dates and stuff. And holding hands. And kissing. *fake gags* But you don't do that. Okoye: And what makes you so sure that I don't, hm? I probably have a boyfriend that you don't even know about. Riri: *makes a face* Nah, you're either on missions or you hang around Aneka and Ayo or one of your other friends. Other than that, you're stuck with me. Okoye: *walks over to Riri* There isn't anything wrong with that. *boops Riri's nose* Besides, I don't think you'd be very fond of me having to share my attention with someone else. Or not being able to cuddle with your Umama like you always do when someone else is taking up space. Riri: *boops her mother's nose in retaliation* But don't you want love, Mama? Okoye: *kisses her forehead* I already get enough love from you, my Pebble. Riri: *blushes at the affection*
That didn't stop interested men in making advances though. There were a few times where Riri had been approached by men who had hopeless crushes on her mother, asking them to pass along their Kimoyo bead ID so they can talk to her mother. Or pass along letters of confessions for them.
That pissed Okoye off to no end, though. She would find the men that gave Riri the notes and rip them a new one, threatening them with a slow, painful death should they approach her daughter with their pathetic attempts of making advances on her. Nobody was to use her child like that. Nobody!
Okoye then made sure to reinforce that Riri use her discernment and enforce strict boundaries with strangers because what they did was not okay. She wasn't too hard on Riri, though. She just made sure that the child knew that what they did was out of pocket.
Riri wasn't taking those bullshit excuses from her mom nowadays though. Her mom was going to get someone if it was the last thing she does. Riri stopped to think, though. Her mom wasn't interested in guys as far as she could tell. What if she was into women? That had to be it!
Riri: *resting her feet in Okoye's lap while staring at her* Okoye: *still looking at the TV* Yes? Riri: *hugs the pillow closer to her body* Ma, you like girls? Okoye: *looks over to Riri* Where is this coming from? *raises an eyebrow* Riri: I mean, they're really beautiful right? It's just that, I ain't never seen you with no guys or nuthin'. So I thought, "Oh shit, Ma probably likes women!" But because of your hectic work schedule you can't get down like you want? I can probably ask Aneka and Ayo for some links for you. They can hook you up! Okoye: *pinches her brow* Riri: I just know you pull so many baddies! Okoye: Baddies? Riri: *throws herself back on the sofa with a whimsical sigh* And them vibranium straps, oh damn. Okoye: *pinches Riri's knee that causes her to yelp* Have some decorum young lady! Riri: *covers her face to stifle her laughter* Okoye: *rolls her eyes with a mischievous smirk* No, I am not into women. I learned that a loooong time ago. Riri: *shoots upright and has a shocked smile on her face* Ma! You got down like that for real!? Okoye: *ignores her* Riri: *crawls over her mothers lap and shakes her* Ma! Ma! Umama! Don't ignore me! Are you being for real?! *shakes Okoye's shoulders* Mom! *crushes her in a hug and slides off of her, onto the floor* Ma, don't ignore me!
It wasn't long until Riri decided to be proactive with finding her mother someone! She employed the help of Shuri who was more than happy to oblige.
Shuri: You seriously asked Okoye if she was strapping women? *puts a fist to her mouth to stifle her laughs* Riri: I never said that! *lightly smacks her arm* You never know! Mom probably tried dick once... or more and was like: Nah it ain't for me. *gives a half-hearted shrug with a sullen face before lighting up again* But since we ruled out her being Bi, at least. We can move on with Operation Get Ma A Man So She Could Get The Loving She Deserves. Shuri: That was a mouth-full. Riri: I'm working on the name still, but it'll do for now! You think Aneka and Ayo would be down to help too? Shuri: I'm pretty sure Aneka takes bribes from potential suitors but never passes the message along to Okoye. She definitely has a list of prospects. Riri: *grins* Okay! Great! Operation Get Ma A Man So She Could Get the Love She Deserves is a go!
Okoye definitely felt her heart flutter when she saw a note from her beloved daughter, telling her to dress nicely because she planned a surprise for her at one of the nearby restaurants at 7pm. This wasn't particularly new. Riri loved to shower her mother with affection as Okoye does to her.
Okoye wasted no time dolling herself up for an impromptu Mother-Daughter date and headed to the venue. Okoye gave her name and was lead to a table in the back. Okoye was grinning from ear to ear, expecting to see her beloved Riri, but her countenance fell when she saw a stranger instead. Not necessarily a stranger. He was one of the Border Tribe members. However, Okoye never interacted with him much. Okoye: There must be some mistake. *she turned to the host* Man: *smiles* Good evening, Okoye. I don't know if you remember me, but my name is Lerumo. *holds out a hand* I'm happy you could make it to our date. Okoye: *tries to contain her eye twitch* Date? Lerumo: Yes, your daughter said you expressed interest in me courting you. Okoye: *holds up a finger* One moment please. *walks off and calls Riri on her Kimoyo beads*
Riri wasn't expecting her mother to call her so fast and she quickly took off her beads and threw them across the room onto the bean bag.
Shuri: Dramatic much? *she asked as she re-entered the room just in time to see the scene go down.* Riri: Ma is calling already! I was hoping she'd have at least sat down and talked to the guy! It's only 7:04 for Pete's sake! Riri's beads start chiming again. Riri: *throw's Shuri's blanket over her head in hopes to escape the sound* Shuri: *climbs under the blanket with Riri* Riri: *snickers* On a scale of 1 to 10 how much trouble do you think I'm in? Shuri: *sing-songs* If this guy has any sort of charm, like me, I can see her forgetting about chewing your ear off. Riri: Oh, you have charm? Shuri: Yes, I do. My charm-factor is so intense, you zone out like this *pulls blanket down and makes a dopey-face* Riri: Stop lying, you wish. *covers her face to hide her fluster* Riri's beads chime again Shuri: *looks across the room* The odds are not in your favor.
The talking-to Riri got wasn't so bad. And that definitely didn't deter Riri from setting her mother up on dates three more times before she called it quits. Okoye was quite literally, tearing up the back yard with her spear because of the pent up frustration. Aneka, Ayo and Shuri watched in silence as Okoye pierced her spear through one of the training dummies.
Aneka: Did you tell her we were...involved? Riri: *looks over to her* The heck do I look like? I ain't no snitch. Besides, you know she would have run up on you if she knew, Aunty. Ayo: I told you it was a bad idea. Shuri: Oh, was that what that was when you were grinning while making the phone calls to the suitors? Ayo: *shrugs* It was entertaining to say the least.
Riri just figured that her mom had closed off her heart or was just genuinely not interested in having a partner like that. That was okay and she respected her mother's decision. So she deadened the hunt for a boyfriend for her mother.
That was until a few years had passed. And a particularly, large, blue, Talokanil General started frequenting the Golden City.
Riri didn't think anything of it at first. The Blue General had been hanging out with her mother every chance he got, but she figured it was because he was most familiar with her mother. He was most comfortable around her, nothing out of the ordinary, Riri presumed.
But then she noticed that the Blue General always stood a little too close to her mother for it to be...socially acceptable in the realm of not-quite-friendship?
Riri also noticed that the General, Attuma, always seemed a bit too eager to be pinned beneath her mother, basically at her mercy during their sparring matches. But her Mom's expressions too..! Man.
Riri: Am I trippin'? Nah, I can't be.
Then, she noticed that Attuma would bring gifts from Talokan for her mother. Initially, Okoye had refused them. But Attuma insisted that it is a peace offering and an act of appreciation for all the training she provides for him and his warriors. Eventually, Okoye relented. Interesting.
Whenever Attuma spotted Riri out and about, he always made sure to greet her. He would come bearing gifts for her as well. Nets of seashells and ancient doubloons, long since forgotten at the bottom of the ocean floor. Colorful trinkets and treasures the Blue General assumed the girl would like. Riri appreciated the gifts, admiring whatever was brought to her.
Attuma: Your mother. Where has she gone? Riri: She's on a mission right now. Two weeks. *she noticed the slight drop in his shoulders at the information.* Attuma: Well, whenever you talk to her, give her my well wishes. *turns and walks off* Riri: Sure...
The first time Riri saw Attuma at her house completely took her off guard. Her mother was rubbing his back while he looked like the cat that ate the canary. Okay. Granted, it was because her mother had inflicted a particularly nasty wound to him while they were sparring and she was rubbing some healing salve on him. But still!
Riri: *gestures between the two of them before folding her arms* So uh, whats going on here? Attuma: Plankton, your mother tried to kill me, but was unsuccessful. Okoye: *smacks his shoulder* Sparring session gone wild. Riri: Oh, wild, huh? *eyes the scratches along his back* Okoye: *side eyes Riri* What are you implying? Riri: *raises her palms* Aye, I ain't say nothing. Okoye: Mhm.
It wasn't until a few months later, Riri had caught wind that Attuma was asking around if her mother was single. Straight up traipsing about the marketplace asking the aunties who like to gossip about if there was a man in Okoye's life.
Riri: *curiously follows Attuma around at a safe distance* Attuma: She has a daughter, but I have never observed the presence of a man the few times I was allowed entrance into her home. Riri: *taps on her Kimoyo earrings to get better audio of the conversation* Gossiping Aunty: Oh, no! Koko doesn't have any man in her life. At least I haven't gotten any word from the others of such an occurance happening. Attuma: So she was married? Gossiping Aunty: *looks around* No, she has never wed. Attuma: *rumbles in understanding*
After that, Riri noticed that Attuma's gifts were becoming more extravagant with every visit to her mother. Black pearl necklaces. Hand-crafted gold bracelets. And the crazy part is, her mother took them with no objection. Nah, she had to get to the bottom of this!
Riri: Ma, you got some really nice jewelry here. *plays with the necklace Attuma brought her* Okoye: Thank you. Attuma got them for me. Riri: He's been real friendly. And you've been real friendly back. Okoye: I am just being courteous *clasps her hands together* Riri: *walks over to her mother and joins her on the floor* Oh, is that what you call it? *gives her a sly smile* Okoye: *struggles to hide her smile and fiddles with her fingers to occupy her mind* Riri: Attuma's really nice, isn't he? Okoye: As nice as that brash, Blue buffoon can be at times. Riri: Do you like him? Okoye: What? No! Riri: Oh my God! Mom! You do! *pokes her side, causing her mom to laugh* Okoye: Bast! Stop it! Riri: Ma! Admit it!! All the guys in the past that wanted your attention, you never gave them the light of day. But in comes the Big Blue General and you're cheesing!!! Every time he visits he brings you gifts! ...Are you two dating? Okoye: Wha-? No! Riri: Then what do you call the trips to the Golden city and all those gifts!! He's courting you! Admit it! Okoye: Attuma and I are not courting. Riri: *laughs* Ok, ok. I know he ain't but he has been asking around if you're single, though. Okoye: *eyes widen* He has? Riri: Omg Mom! Look at you!!! You're so down bad! Okoye: I never go down bad! *points an accusatory finger at Riri* Riri: *holds her mother's hands* Ma, it's okay if you like him. *happily kisses her knuckles* I'm excited for you! I've never seen you like this! You're all googly eyes around him! He has you resting so hard in your feminine right now! Okoye: *sighs and rubs a hand over her scalp* Okay. He's a nice man. Somehow, despite his size, he was able to slither his way into my heart. Just a liiiiitle bit *she pinched her fingers together* Riri: *tackles her Mom into a hug* Holy shit! I really never thought I'd see the day! And I didn't even have to do anything this time around!! Okoye: *holds Riri's head to her chest and rests there for a few moments* Riri: *listens to her mother's steady heartbeat* So are you going to give him a chance, Mama? Okoye: *Caresses Riri's temple* Yes, I'm going to give the brute a chance. Riri: *wiggles in happiness and looks at her mother* I'm really happy for you Mom. *kisses her cheek*
It wasn't until maybe a week later Attuma approached Riri while she was walking about the city. He walked up to her with what seemed to be...coral? In the shape of a rose!! In hand.
Attuma: Tiny shrimp. Riri: Aren't shrimp already small? It sounds kinda redundant. *grins* Attuma: It is to emphasize that you are so minuscule. *chuckles* Riri: Those for my Mom? Attuma: *gives one nod* I have come to receive your blessing. Riri: *raises an eyebrow* My blessing? Attuma: Yes. I plan to properly court your mother and I would like to have your blessing. Riri: *looks around* Alright. Kneel for me. Attuma: *does so without question* Riri: *extends her arm and taps each of Attuma's shoulders* I give you my blessing to date my mom. Just make sure you treat her right, okay? Attuma: She is the radiant Sun to my sky. The moon to my tides. I would never treat her any less than she deserves, so long as she shall have me. Riri: *shakes her head with a smile* Alright, Romeo. Hurry up unless you wanna be late for your date! Attuma: *smiles* Thank you, Riri.

Swimming Lessons
Part 1/3
A/N: Soo I did it thanks to @mal-urameshi for the idea.
Summary; Okoye puts Riri in swimming lessons. Okoye meets er daughter's swimming coach Attuma. Okoye isn't going to do anything except look at him that's all.
Tag gang: @mal-urameshi @pantherheart @somethingcleaverandwhitty
Okoye would say she is a pretty okay mom. The greatest but enough that her daughter wouldn't die by her negligence. And like any helicopter parent Okoye put her three-year-old in swimming lessons. As much as she loved her daughter, Riri was a menace in a loving way. Riri couldn't sit still when she gets her hair done or sitting her car seat. So what does any parent do when they have an active child putting in classes.
Okoye had her daughter in ballet, karate, and piano lessons. The young mother was doing everything to keep miss.busybody from being too busy in her room. Plus on some mommy blog it said it was important for Riri’s age group to socialize with their peers. And her daughter was a genius but she just read the room incorrectly sometimes.
“Oh Riri,” Aneka greeted as she wrapped her arms around the young girl. Aneka took her job as the fun auntie very seriously always trying out for her niece.
“It’s been ages since I’ve seen you,” Aneka commented as she glared at her sister,” It’s almost like someone is keeping you away from me.”
"She needs to run this energy," Okoye reasoned to Aneka as she rolled her eyes. Her sister squahed down to Riri's height as she gave her a piece of candy.
"Thank you, Auntie!" Riri shouted as she hug her aunt. Okoye rolled her eyes, "That's why she is in so many classes."
Aneka scoffed at the insult, "Hey she's needs some fun in her life. And it's not like you and Ayo are going to do it?"
"She's needs structure-“ Okoye started.
"in her life. This is the foundation she needs and going to rely on when she gets older, I know I know," Aneka finished her sister's statement.
"It's good to know you listen to me every once and while," Okoye responded. Aneka waved her hand not taking what her sister was saying to her seriously, "So what's the next class that my Riri have to go to now? How to detonate a bomb?"
Okoye rolled her eyes before she can tell her sister about her daughter's next class. Riri jumped up and down, "I'm going to learn how to swim!"
Aneka's lighten up around her niece, "Really? That sounds like fun."
Riri nodded, "Yeah and I'm learning how to swim like swordfish because they swim really fast."
"Really where did you learn about that?" Aneka asked Riri puffed her chest loving the special attention that her aunt was giving her, "Mama and me went to the library today."
"Can you show me the book you got from the library?" Aneka asked Okoye inwardly groaning knowing her sister was going to give her unneeded advice from the peanut gallery. Aneka stood back up to her normal height, "I'm just saying I find it funny how you're the only one entertaining and taking care of her while you know who isn’t doing his share of the work.”
Okoye could only pressed her lips together as she waited for her sister to finish with rant with her good for nothing ex-husband. From Okoye’s view they went into marriage too fast and were pressured by their parents and traditions that their relationship just frizzed out.
“I mean the only good thing that happened from that relationship was having Riri,” Aneka commented as she was finally getting to the end of her rant. Okoye just nodded along letting her sister finish her ranting about her ex-husband. Okoye's eyes followed her daughter's movements between her bouncing on her toes while reading.
"Thanks for your unneeded advice," Okoye said as she moved closer to take her daughter's hand quickly leaving her sister's apartment.
"Are you ready for your swimming lesson?" Okoye asked her pebble as she buckled her in. Riri nodded, "Yeah, I can't wait to tell VIv and Miles about it."
Okoye went to the driver's seat. She looked through the reflection mirror at Riri, "Let's go, swordfish."

Mama why you got tiger stripes?
Shuri Udaku x Dora Milaje reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Shuri have adopted a kid (Imani) who gets more curious by the day today he asks you about your "tiger" scars which leads to a conversation which opens some emotional scars unexpectedly with Shuri.
A/n: I guess this goes along with my Dora Milaje reader fics. (Since they're all kind of connected.)
Snippet from the fic: "He looks away as if he's going through his thoughts selecting the conversation before nodding "yes and mama said she thought you were a bad ass but you didn't want to hurt her so you held back." "
Being a Dora Milaje you are covered in scars from head to toe but your favorite and most noticeable ones are your "tiger stripes mama why do you have tiger stripes?" You glance at your arms then back at your child who's still awaiting an answer. "They're not tiger stripes your mother calls them panther scars she...when we were fighting she clawed me." The child gasps and looks at the picture of Shuri on the dining room table "mama hurt you?" You laugh and shake your head "yes bu-" "mama hurt you!?" You gently grab your son's hand "what have I told you about interrupting me when I speak Imani?" He purses his lips and nods "sorry mama" you nod "you're fine however remember when I told you how me and mama met?" He looks away as if he's going through his thoughts selecting the conversation before nodding "yes and mama said she thought you were a bad ass but you didn't want to hurt her so you held back." You raise your brow at his choice of words "mama said it" you smile and brush it off "well mama was just titled Black panther and queen at the time while I was titled the best hand to hand combat fighter in the Dora. Okoye... You remember auntie Okoye?" He nods "yes she's strong and super bad-sorry" you shake your head "well...Okoye thought that I needed some sort of reminder that I was reckless and I had a reckless way of thinking." You remember you're talking to a child rephrasing your words "she decided that since I thought I was grown and could go off plan that she'd leave me with the busy work training your mama." Imani smiles and nods "how was she?"
"Your mother was something else she was intimidating but I loved that she challenged me and did not hold back that's how I got these marks you see?" You show him your arms before lifting your shirt and showing him your tummy and waist. "Mama did you bad. Did she mean to hurt you?" How should you explain to a child that training is all about being hurt and learning from it. "Every scar is a lesson the ones on my arm remind me not to underestimate anyone your mother did mean to hurt me but only in training." He nods but curse him for having his mother's way of thinking "the scars on your tummy and waist they're fresher... Do you both still train?" You think back to how you got "those" scars because you weren't fighting when that happened. Your face immediately goes warm with the thoughts after your first date and how the night ended. If saved by the bell was a person it is Shuri as she walks into the home and immediately picks you up kissing all over your face with her keys and bag still in hand. "I thought you had queenly duties to attend to" she smiles "I finished for now but you know the job is never done." You nod "your son wants to know about our scars" Imani nods and Shuri smiles "okay like what scars?" Imani glances at you as he says "well mama Y/n has black panther scars all over her body do you have any scars?" Shuri nods slowly.
"Yes, would you like to know my favorite?" Imani nods eagerly but Shuri points to the middle of her forehead where her skin has this small almost unnoticeable dip "that scar kind of sucks mama" Shuri scoffs and laughs "your uncle would say different I got this when me and T'Challa were kids we were... Hectic never sat still for a minute our mother-" "mother Ramonda" Shuri nods and continues "yes our mother told us many times this day to stop running around be still we did not listen I ran until I hit my head against our wooden table it cut a gash through my forehead." Imani becomes more engrossed in the story but pats her leg "hold on" Imani runs out of the room leaving the both of you with blank looks on your faces he returns with a bag of chips and juice "continue" Shuri can't help but laugh at how much she reminds him of you even though you aren't really related. But what do relations have to do with family love? You sit on her lap and listen to the story too.
"C'mon mama continue" Shuri smiles as you sit on her lap "my mother was pissed like the little cartoon fuming at the ears pissed. She grabbed me by my ear and did the same to T'Challa because he was older and as she'd say "should have known better. T'Challa took the blame saying it had nothing to do with me that he pushed me into the table which wasn't true. Mother knew this of course but she admired that he would lie for me when it wasn't something T'Challa did not even as a kid." Imani smiles. "wow uncle T'Challa seems kind of cool I wish I could have met him" you can see Shuri get teary eyed for a moment "I..." Shuri gasps as she gently taps your thigh causing you to get up and she gently pushes past you and walks into your shared bedroom. "What's wrong with mama?" You and Shuri don't believe in sugar coating anything for him so you tell him "your mother never really took his death well whenever she thinks about it she can only imagine how upset he would have been if he had known just how much she spiraled out of control." Imani nods "I want to make her feel better" you nod "me too what do you think we should do?" Imani hums "I could give her some of my chips and we could give her cuddles they always make me happy." You smile at his innocence and nod.
You both approach you and Shuri's bedroom to see her laying in bed you can hear her sniffling as you open the door. She quickly sits up and wipes her face but Imani is quick to climb the bed and come up to hug her "I'm sorry mama you want a chip?" Shuri smiles and nods. "Sure Imani give me a chip" you can see her eyes tearing up more as she looks at Imani "you would have loved to meet him he was pretty cool." Imani smiles "yeah but my mama is pretty cool too can you not cry anymore? It makes me sad?" Shuri nods "yeah I'm done crying." You climb in bed behind her "good because we both know that death is not the end." She nods as you slip your arms around them both. Right." She mumbles into your neck.
A/n: didn't look over this and wrote this between classes so enjoy.

a mother's love: okoye's version
1.2k+ words | attoye | warnings: none, just cute
attuma x okoye fluff - ft. tadeas, xyanza, nobomi, yolotli, and kuhle...
Tumblr media
“The joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times. But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction.” - Okoye
As children, our first experiences of love and comfort often come from the embrace of our mothers.
She was warm and safe. Her embrace was like a soft cloud that cushioned me from any worries or fears. Even as a teenager, when the challenges of life grew more complex and demanding, there were still moments when I sought solace in my mother's embrace.
Tadeas slinks onto his parent's room, all over six feet and almost two hundred pounds of him. “Umama…” he laments, uncharacteristically. He’s sixteen years old and he’s tired from training; he wants his mother. And as he slides his feet over the hardwood floor and groans, his mother kisses her teeth and shakes her head.
Okoye pulls her glasses down her nose and looks up from her book. “Yes? Are you okay?” Her son doesn’t respond just comes to stand over her as she looks him up and down. He stands there, simply watching her for a moment with half-lidded eyes and a frown. “Tad-“
WHOMPH! Suddenly her massive son flopped on top of her and envelops his mother in a full-body bear hug. “Ah! No! You’re too big for this! Too old to sit on my lap! Tadeas! Stop- ATTUMA!”
Her book and her last read pages are lost in the scuffle.
Minutes later…
Tadeas leaned into his mother's touch, feeling the warmth and love radiating from her as she pressed gentle kisses onto his cheeks and forehead. Her hands, calloused from years of battle, now softened as they caressed his face, offering comfort and solace.
Okoye rubs her hands over his face, pressing kisses into his cheeks and forehead while her youngest daughters all crowd to ask about her day. They came to her aid since her husband was not home. But they couldn’t move their brother. “You need your sister to retwist your hair.”
Her son huffed and pushed one of his younger sisters off the bed when she slapped him with her tiny hand. “Xyanza is mad at me.” Okoye kissed her teeth. “You are always upsetting her. Xyanza!”
After a groan and a few moments, her oldest daughter, Xyanza, appears snickering at her brother’s antics. “I can’t move him. Sorry, mama.”
“That’s not what I need, will you please retwist his hair?”
 “No.”
A mother’s look. “Pardon me?”
Xyanza pouts and tries again. “He was rude to me today. I don’t want to.”
Okoye smacks her son's back and he groans again. “Were you rude to my daughter?”
“Uh…”
Earlier…
Sitting at the family table, Tadeas sighed and leaned back against the kitchen chair, feeling a mix of frustration and vulnerability. Being a sixteen-year-old boy was no easy task on its own, but especially when you were the son of the Warrior Okoye of the Border Tribe and the General of Talokan Attuma.
Tadeas had always felt the weight of his mixed heritage and the expectations that came with his ancestors, struggling to find his place in both worlds. As the son of two generals in-
“Big freaking deal…” His twin sister scoffed, reading his diary over his shoulder. “Need I remind you, I am also their child?... and you make it more complicated than it needs to be.” She playfully stuck her tongue out at her brother when he glared at her.
“It’s different. I am the oldest ,” He snarked.
“By like, fourteen minutes.”
“Meaning I’m fourteen minutes smarter than you.” He snarled at his sister, turning back to his journal. “Besides I’m the one child they have that matters. I have more responsibility, dipshit.”
Xyanza put her hands on her hips and started to cut up a piece of fruit for her to eat a snack. “Whatever. Can you go be stinky somewhere else?”
“You don't own this kitchen. And I was here first, so you can leave especially since you smell like shit.”
“I smell good! You look homeless!”
He doesn’t answer so she pinches his cheek until her triplets begin to giggle and pinch him as well. He groans and flings the little triplets away from him. They complain about how fat he is until he smacks at them to go away and leave him with his mother.
“She was being stupid.” “See, Mommy?!”
Another slap is administered to his back and he tightens his arms around his mother’s waist, ignoring her entirely.
“Apologize to your sister at once. It’s ridiculous I must tell you this at sixteen years old!”
“She’s always rude to me.” Okoye kisses her teeth.
“Not my baby girl. Apologize for being rude to her.” She runs her hands through his locs, even when they’re demons she can’t help but adore everything they do. They are fruits of her labor, how could she not love them?
“...Sorry, Xyanza.”
Okoye cooed when he hid his face in her stomach and tried to rest again. It reminded her of when he was a baby…
“Please do his hair, my lovely girl. He has a training seminar coming up that he has to lead.” She licks a thumb and straightens his eyebrows. He makes a face just like his father. “He won’t embarrass me looking like a lost tribe rapper.”
“His apology was pathetic! He didn’t even mean it.”
Okoye bit back a sigh. With five stubborn children in her home that’s all she could do. That’s what she gets for picking a stubborn man.
Or maybe this was retribution for how Okoye treated her mother as a teenager…
“How do you know he didn’t mean it?” “I didn’t.” “Tadeas!” She hisses at him, but there’s only so much to be done about his smart mouth.
Xyanza glares toward him, then walks out of the room grumbling under her breath.
The front door opens and then the cloth moves as they hear metal hit the ground with heavy footsteps.
“Daddy!” One of the triplets, Nobomi, cries. Yolotli follows suit and the three girls begin to chant and file out of the room.
As Attuma steps through the threshold of his home and sheds his armor at the entrance, he is immediately greeted by the sight of his three daughters running to embrace him with open arms. Okoye hears him grunt a few times as they undoubtedly have jumped into his arms and made him carry them.
“Your father will come and free me,” Okoye whispers to her son, tickling his neck as he grunts annoyed. She giggles then watches the entrance of the room.
Attuma walks into their bedroom moments later with three daughters hanging off his shoulders. Tired but smiling and Okoye smiles back.
He looks down at his son who is holding his wife hostage.
“Get off my woman.”
“...No.”
Okoye laughs at them both and smacks Attuma’s hand away when he reaches to push Tadeas off. “He’s tired…”
Attuma smirked, laughing at his son grunting in displeasure from being pushed. “I am more tired than he is. And he has his own bed.”
Tadeas’ shirt is gripped in the back and he’s suddenly lifted. The girls hanging off Attuma like Barnacles ooh and ahh.
He’s wrenched from his mother's embrace despite his scrambling to stay in place and flopped onto the foot of the bed. Grumbling about his father being unfair, he stands slowly and stretches his arms up.
They all watch with unimpressed faces as he lets out a loud yell that scared his sisters and then walks out of the room.
Okoye snorts and then sighs, picking her book back up. “Thank you, Attu-“
WHOMPH! And her even bigger husband takes his son's place on top of her. He falls asleep immediately and there’s nothing she can do.
“You massive IDIOT!”
“There’s no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one. In my darkest moments, I clung to my mother.”
Her oldest triplet, Yolotli rested her ear on Mama’s stomach while the other children sank around her, stealing their mother's warmth while their father prepared them dinner.
“Mama?” She whispered.
Okoye carded her hands through her oldest daughter's hair and scratched at her only son's back, they both faded to sleep quickly in their mother's arms. They all kept her so warm, inside and out.
“Do I have to be pregnant too?”
Okoye snorted and shook her head, “You do not, my love.” Xyanza laughed from her place at her mother’s feet as well.
“How do I avoid it? It seems to always happen to you…” Tadeas wheezes in laughter then.
“Because Baba has no sense or restraint- OW!” He is pinched on his ear and his mother purses her lips. “Who taught you to be so disrespectful?” “You!”
Okoye kisses her teeth and shakes her head and her giggling children. She turned back to her daughter and rolled her eyes toward her son. Yolotli nods, though she doesn't understand why they are doing this; she just does what Mama says.
The mother of five, but soon be of six, felt the offspring in her womb kick at this conversation, a strong and powerful kick that reminded her of whom she was married to…
“Stay away from men. Especially the tall handsome ones with a sweet tongue.”
“They made you pregnant?”
“No!” Attuma huffs from the other room, deciding to intervene since her mother was giggling. “You will not even think of that for fifty years!”
Okoye rolls her eyes. “What about when they get partners?” She yelled back at him.
“No boyfriends or girlfriends. No dating until marriage.”
“You’re ridiculous! My children, you may date when we approve of the person and deem it appropriate.”
Their daughter pouted, settling in the empty space glued to her mother’s side. “Yuum will never approve… that’s why Xyanza is still single…” Xyanza whips her head around to stare incredulously at her sister. “Oh, it’s like that? Yu’um scares off all the men!”
“That’s right!”
“Attuma, be quiet!”

Shuri U. || How I met your mother
Warning • none
Genre • fluff
Pairing • Mom!Shuri x Mom! x black reader
Tumblr media
“Mama how did you and Mommy meet?” your beautiful nine year old questions as she looks up at you from your lap. You smiled down at her playing with her braids taking a second to remember how you met.
“Hmm let’s see, we met in college- well I was in college she just broke into my dorm room” the little girl gasps shocked at your choice of words.
“Mommy kidnapped you?!” You laugh at her frightened expression shaking your head.
“No my love she- well it was complicated.”
“Yeah so complicated” she mocked “your mother fell in love with me at first sight” you rolled your eyes at Shuri’s unneeded input
“that’s a complete lie.”
“Oh yeah? If you remember it so well you tell me how it went then?” You looked at her cocking an eyebrow with a know it all glare
“I will then, so let’s see I believe I was hanging out in auntie Riri’s dorm when a certain someone knocked on the door...”
Tumblr media
“Ri! Someone’s at the door!” You yell not bothering to get up.
“Ri I said-“
“I heard you damn shut up big mouth!” She groaned stomping out of the bathroom towards the door muttering about how lazy you were.
Another knock was made before she reached the door “ Riri Williams?”
“Yo I don’t do drop by’s anymore you’re gonna have to go to the website” you ignored the whole exchange thinking it was another customer until you heard Riri gasp shockingly as she backed up.
You quickly closed your laptop alarmed by a attractive stranger entering your friends dorm room, she seemed familiar but you couldn’t put your finger on it.
“you’re th- you’re princess Shuri” That’s who she is!
“Oh shit am I getting recruited?” Riri asks with a curious face.
The princess looked at her confused “No.”
You giggle at her response causing the princess to turn to you.
“And who are you?” Shuri asks pointing towards you. You hop off the bed holding your hand out “y/n and I’m single too” you smiled shaking her tatted hand. Shuri smirked shaking her head turning back to Riri.
“I’m here about the vibranium metal detector you created for the CIA” Riri glances at you then back at shuri confused.
“Nah I ain’t make that for no CIA-“ she paused “Oh shit I pissed off Wakanda?” Shuri nods “not just us others too, so we need to leave quickly before they come and find you.” Riri nodded slowly giving you a nervous glance.
“Well let us” she said putting the emphasis on us meaning you and her “go grab some things” she snatched your wrist making her way to the bathroom but you two were quickly stopped when a tall woman emerged with a daring look on her face.
“Oh shit!” You both screamed in unison running towards the corner of the room.
“Uh uh yall gotta go!” Riri said hiding behind you with an electric heater “ tell ‘em to leave” she said pushing you forward. You rolled your eyes glaring back at her.
“Maybe we can work something out? Why does she have to leave, can’t the problem be solved from here?” Shuri shook her head
“No Riri has to come back with us to Wakanda, it’s too dangerous here.” Riri made a grunting noise disagreeing.
“I’m not going no where get out!” She yelled while she so called threatened the two outsiders with her heater.
“You will come with us whether you like it or not” the tall bald woman threatened approaching slowly.
“Okoye” the princess called and she retreated back by her side.
“How about this if your friend here goes with you will you comply?” Shuri asks holding her hands out cautiously hoping to defuse the situation. You thought about it for a second and it wouldn’t be that bad, you get to visit the most secured country in the world along with the nations princess as a guide? Sounded like a deal with you.
“Alright we’ll go.”
Riri gasped slapping your shoulder “Y/n what the hell?!”
“What?! It won’t be that bad, they seem like they want to protect you and whoever is out there may be worse then them” you placed your hand on her shoulder trying negotiate with her.
“Do you want to go to keep me safe or you just wanna chance to shoot your shot with the princess?” She cocked an eyebrow staring up at you, in response you rolled your eyes.
“Maybe both…but does that matter?! I won’t be able to shoot my shot if I’m dead along side with you” she shifted back and forth on her heels giving a few skeptical glances towards the princess and her guard.
She gave in with a sigh placing her heater on the ground “Fine.”
Tumblr media
A loud screaming laugh erupted from your wife “That is not how it went!” She held her stomach unable to breathe. You smacked your lips pushing her over on the couch, your baby girl didn’t know what was going on but she was laughing along with her mother.
“Well how do you remember it ms know it all?” She sat up wiping the tears from her eyes trying to calm her laughter.
“Well for one you were the one to open the door and two you flirted way more than just a lazy pick up line. Your mama was practically drooling over me, she wouldn’t let me out her sight” Shuri tells your daughter as she continues to tease.
“That is such a lie!” Ok maybe it wasn’t but you weren’t goin to admit that. You smacked your lips “Whatever.”
“So what happened next mama?” Your daughter asked wanting to know the rest of your love story.
“Well we’ll save that for another day baby you have to go to sleep it’s past your bed time” she groaned burying her self into your arms further.
“No I don’t wanna I’m not sl-“ she let out a cute yawn as she rubbed her eyes “I’m not sleepy.” You and Shuri glance at each other with a knowing look, you shake your head smiling.
“Yeah it’s time for bed little one.” You gathered her and she wrapped her tiny legs around you as she laid her head on your shoulder. You take her to her room and put her to bed tucking her in with a kiss on the forehead.
“Goodnight my sweet girl” she whispered a goodnight before she quickly drifted off to sleep.
Shuri left her a kiss before you two made your way to your room. You changed into your pajamas along with Shuri finally making it to bed.
“Come here gorgeous” Shuri wore a tired smile as she pulled you in by your waist wrapping her hands around you.
“Goodnight my love.” You pecked her lips cuddling into her chest, you were drifting off to into a good sleep until you heard shuri speak.
“Can we have another baby?” Her question was met silence until you spoke up “I’ll think about.”

Me and yo’ Mama (Preview)
A/n: I figured that I would give you guys a sneak peak of the Finale of “Half Crazy” since you’ve been oh so patient with me. It is being worked on and it will be coming very soon! In the mean time. Enjoy this snippet.
The boy took his horns from the thief, and went on his way. He came to a house, and asked to be entertained. The owner refused, and sent him away, because his clothes were in tatters, and his body soiled with travel.
For as long as Shuri knew her, she’d always been at her side.
America feels as though it finally has it’s opportunity to take down Wakanda and it’s resources.
Her fist banging into the banister in front of her. Her eyes peircing through the elderly man.
“MY POINT IS!  Mr. President… that I have not been found guilty. So you will respect my title and position as your worlds leader! My proper title is Queen Shuri Udaku, DAUGHTER of Romonda! The most powerful entity in this room!” Her eyes slowly left the visibly shaken man.
“It is best that you all keep that in mind for the duration of this trail.” She relaxed back into her chair, giving her blazer a slight tug. “Now where were we….Double homicide and attempted murder. Eh”

In the lab
“Shuri chill. Just give me a few more hours mama.” Riri said as she tried to push Shuri away.
“You’ve been in here all day usana. A few minutes away won’t hurt. Shuri says, while one of her hands moved up Riri’s neck, slightly turning it to the side, giving herself more room to kiss up and down Riri’s neck. Riri took a deep breath. She was using every ounce of will in her body to resist Shuri. “Anybody could walk in here and I need to finish these calculations.” Riri sighed. Yes, her calculations could wait, but she’s been super anxious to see how her suit turns out when she adds these new upgrades.
Riri gasped as Shuri’s free hand grasped her breasts while her mouth continued to leave hickies all down her neck. Shuri smirked when Riri let out a small moan. Riri has never been good at resisting her for too long.
Riri gripped the edges of the table when she felt Shuri’s hand slide into the waistband of her pants, cupping her outside of her underwear. “Fuck” RirI moaned, grinding herself into Shuri’s hand. “Mmmhmmm….I thought you needed to finish your calculations” Shuri rasped, slowly moving her hand to begin circling Riri’s clit through her underwear.
Riri started to moan. Temporarily forgetting all of her worries. “Princess” Griot called out. No answer. “Princess?” He called again.
“Griot silence all interruptions for the next hour. Shuri said over Riri’s moans. “But prince-“ “Now griot.” Shuri demanded. Cutting him off and turning her focus back to Riri, who was mere minutes away from cumming and barely holding herself up against the table.
Everything paused when they heard the clearing of someone’s throat. The distinct voice belonging to the one person neither Shuri nor Riri would EVER want to hear while being in such a compromising position. Queen Ramonda.
Shuri quickly pulled away. Turning around and hiding the slightly damp hand, that was just down Riri’s pants, behind her back. She was met with the face of her mother who was accompanied by Ayo, Aneka, and Okoye who were all trying desperately to keep their composure behind the queen.
Riri stood beside Shuri looking very flushed and embarrassed as Shuri stumbled over her words. “M-mother h-hi. What are you doing here?” Shuri stuttered. “Go clean yourselves up and when you get back we would like to see the updates you two made on the Dora Milaje spears.” Queen Ramonda said, looking very unimpressed. “Yes mother” “yes queen” they both said at the same time.
Shuri quickly grabbed Riri’s hand and rushed her to the private room in the back of her lab.
“Aneka, Ayo, and Okoye all burst into giggles as the two ran off. “Young people are like rabbits these days. I mean seriously? In the lab?” the queen said, shaking her head.
“Not just young people” Okoye mumbled, earning herself a shove from Ayo. She just caught Ayo and Aneka in a somewhat similar situation the other day.
“Shuri I could kill you right now” Riri grumbled, fixing herself in the mirror as Shuri washed her hands. “I swear you’re not getting any for the rest of the week. I’m so deadass. That is so fucking embarrassing.” Riri continued to rant while Shuri just giggled.
“I’ll make it up to you usana. I promise.” Shuri whispered. Kissing Riri softly before they left the room.
It’s safe to say the meeting was very awkward and they had to deal with teasing for weeks, even after Riri went home at the end of her break.

Off to bed little one
warning: fluff overload
Mom!Shuri x Mom!fem!reader
While Shuri, Aneka, Okoye, Nakia and you were chitchatting, your mother instincts kicked in and your gaze went to baby girl yawning and clinging to your side.
“Anathi, are tired my little one?” As you picked her and Shuri rubbing the sweet child’s chubby cheeks, admiring the cute features of her daughter. “No mama” was all she said which made Shuri chuckle “Seems like your eyes told lies little” Shuri commented at her daughter’s antics.
“Anyways, I love our chats but I have to get this one of to her bed” You excused yourself from the ladies while carrying your daughter “Say goodbye to the aunties now” Shuri told her daughter “Nooooooo” Anathi whined which made the women laugh “Okay babye now” You were the one to tell them as you walked inside the palace. The women only heard the whines and no’s of your daughter while you reciprocated saying yes.
“She’s growing up and you both gave her much love, I can tell” Nakia commented, feeling proud of her “Thank you but it wasn’t easy at first. Although you could forget about the hardships in time.” Shuri told them sipping in her cup. “She’s precious to me, they’re precious to me, all of you” Shuri added feeling content with her life right now.
