a/n: lol i complain about wanting to write fluff but all my good ideas r so dark 😭 someone needs to give me tips on how to write girls cuz i have no experience would be easier if i was gay boooo!!
he was like a shadow, stuck to your back, always.
you’d complained to lucy numerous times that you didn’t feel comfortable around him when she played at the hob, knowing he’d be there, in the crowd. “sweetie, he was my mentor. he helped me so much in the games, i wouldn’t be here without him. you love me don’t you? so you need to learn to love him too, he’s a good friend a mine. i love you and i gotta get to the stage baby.” she explained as she ran around getting herself and the covey ready.
you were always front row. wanting to be as close to lucy as possible. she looked especially majestic tonight with flowers in her hair. as you listened to her sing you’d managed to forget about the certain blonde peacekeeper near the back. but he hadn’t forgotten about you, nor lucy.
you’d left to get a drink and you’d came back to an unfamiliar tune. you usually knew every song being played off by heart but this was new.
Everyone's born as clean as a whistle
As fresh as a daisy
And not a bit crazy
Staying that way's a hard row for hoeing
she sounded as angelic as usual and the crowd around you seemed entranced.
As rough as a briar
Like walking through fire
This world, it's dark
This world, it's scary
lucy smiled at you once, just once. which threw you off since you usually got a bunch. especially during new songs and songs about you. was this not also about you?
I've taken some hits, so
No wonder I'm wary It's why
I need you
so it is about me! you thought as you closed your eyes, allowing yourself to sway to the music and singing. you’d hoped you wouldn’t miss a smile headed your way.
You're as pure as the driven snow
your eyes flew open as you stared at lucy, she was looking past you and to the peacekeeper. to coriolanus snow. you’d always been a rational person, you prided yourself on restraint but that restraint was hanging on by a thread. you wanted to jam a beer bottle into his neck. lucy was your girlfriend not his. and yet he smiled stupidly towards her as she sang and you could feel your heart clawing its way up. best to leave now rather than stay and hear more of the ever so driven man.
your head was spinning as you slumped to the floor, in one of your finest dresses yet worst mental states. of course, something had formed between the two. she was in the goddamn hunger games and he was her mentor. trauma bonding? he quite literally saved her life, coached her and you did what? sat at home and hoped.
hope could only get you so far.
your hope and faith in lucy gray baird was dwindling as her lyrics swirled in your head. of course she loved him. who wouldn’t? the man was undeniably eye catching. a capitol man. but you’d always imagined lucy staying away from the capitol, despising them. but maybe it wasn’t the captiol part but the man part. maybe she wanted a true life, a home, marriage and children and everything she could wish for.
what on earth could you provide her with?
“y/n?” it sure as hell wasn’t lucy calling out for you and you knew that. coriolanus’s reflection was prominent in the puddle before you as he neared. great, you sneered, would love to get to know you mr peacekeeper. please tell me how you stole my lovely girlfriend from me!
your chest felt oh so heavy as you heard his footsteps in the gravel, determined and unwavering as he made his way to your slumped body. “what do you want? you wanna gloat?” coriolanus stopped in his tracks, gloat? “why would i gloat?” you looked up at him annoyed, “rub it in my face. you practically stole my girlfriend from me.” coriolanus laughed. actually laughed and it made you want to strangle him with his stupid dog tags.
“sweetheart.” vomit. you wanted to vomit. maybe choking and dying on your vomit would be less embarrassing then this. why on earth was this fuck head calling you his sweetheart. “fuck off.”
you didn’t see him coming. and you certainly didn’t expect his demeanour to snap. but the large hand tangled in your open hair was a big slap in the face to your unreadiness. “you of all people don’t get to talk to me like that. do you know who you’re talking to?” you could hear his perfect porcelain teeth grinding at your words. god this man couldn’t handle an insult. wuss.
“what the hell is your- ow! problem!” you yelped as he dragged you into an alleyway. “you need to learn how to respect your superiors. if you’re nice to me, i can make your life easier. doesn’t it hurt? not being able to fully provide for your family? seeing them struggle? do you really think disrespecting a peacekeeper is going to help? i suggest you straighten your act and thank me for even looking your way. there are plenty of other girls here.”
but he didn’t want those other girls. he wanted you. you with the teary eyes and messy hair. you who he’d been seeing in his dreams and during the day. you with the kind smile and curious eyes. you who were so sweet and pretty but mean when need be. the y/n who was stupid enough to spit such hateful words at a peacekeeper. but he’d teach you. whether it be with words and lessons or actions and bruises. you’d learn your place, by his side and lucy’s, and underneath. but with such fearful, brown doe eyes watering up infront of him, the girl he’d heard oh so much about from lucy. how could he refrain from indulging?
his hand reached out to wipe away the few stray tears that fell as his left extended towards your right, which was clutching your head, where he’d grabbed you. “shh, let me help you.” your hand slowly retracted as your heart ran a marathon. the man was obviously unstable, going from a deceptively caring man to violent. coriolanus smiled at your actions, and it freaked you out. he caressed your scalp in an attempt to soothe, “good girl.” he cooed as your apparent saviour approached.
“sweetie?” lucy called out to you as coriolanus withdrew from your personal space. he walked over to her and she let him. he held her hand and spoke with, love? his voice was soft and comforting, his thumb again caressing the back of her hand as they talked, whispered, plotted? god knows, all you wanted was to leave.
was this your chance?
you tested the waters, slow and calculated movements as lucy nodded in agreement with him. but by the time they were done speaking you’d bolted.
but you sure as hell weren’t getting far with these two on your tail, poor y/n l/n. a little dove trying to spread her wings but they were bound to be clipped.
your feet were throbbing and begging for you to slow down. but your brain was in charge for once, your heart which yearned for your dear songbird pushed to the side as your head screamed and urged you to go. she was in league with him apparently. her seeing him corner you and not even batting an eyelash. did she truly care for you so little? did she want to rid herself of you? she could’ve broken up with you and let that be it. maybe the games had twisted her head.
even as you believed yourself to be gaining distance from the two you could hear the not-so distant steps of determined pursuit, headed your way. how would they kill you? slow and intimate? hasty and brutal?
“if you stop running now we won’t be mad little dove!” lucy shouted in warning as you felt yourself momentarily slow at her words. traitor. you thought to yourself as your body involuntary listened, she still had an affect on you. “she’s right, we love you, we won’t hurt you. unless we have to, don’t give us our reasons.”
“shut up!” you screamed. god, i know we haven’t talked in a while. last minute efforts right? maybe he’d listen to you, save you from your tormentors. you should’ve kept your head clear, focused on running. focused on your surroundings and if you had, you would’ve noticed the nearing tree roots, thick and protruding from the ground, ready to knock you down.
you crawled behind the tree, trying to catch your breath as your hands worked tirelessly to provide some form of relief to your aching ankle.
crack.
you’d been found. you fucked up.
“our little dove, ever the sprinter.”
his words had you lurching forwards in an attempt of fleeing but lucy’s cold hand on your ankle dragged protests and cries from your throat as well as you, back to them. “you should’ve listened before, we would’ve been nice. given you some time to adjust, but you can’t sit and think for a second can you?” coriolanus mocked as his hand trailed up your un-injured leg, “that’s okay, you won’t be doing much thinking from now on. we’ll be taking care of you, since you obviously can’t take care a’ yourself baby.” lucy’s voice was saccharine, like honey, and her smile was even sweeter. the familiarity and comfort of her presence was intoxicating, you felt at peace on one side and the other wanted to jump off a cliff. she lowered your guard and coriolanus slithered right in.
the prick in the side of your neck wasn’t painful, but their words were. “you’re with us now, we’ll take care of you, we promise.” and you were stuck, stuck with them for god knows how long.
you blinked away the sleep in your eyes, adjusting to the room. maybe they had killed you? in their own twisted way they’d keep you forever, in their memories and soul. coriolanus and lucy’s voices swam around your head and blended together. you were wrong. yay.
“it’s a bit early for katniss, even if it’s one of her favourites.”
“she should eat something better.”
“better? don’t go all capitol on me now corio.”
he was smiling, you could tell.
“never lucy gray. but she’ll be weak for a few days, proper meals will help her regain some strength.”
you picked your head up and looked through the window, the lake was evident.
“alright, you go grab it and i’ll stay here.”
“why? so you can get more time with her? if anyone should get extra time it’s me.”
“now who was her partner first? oh that’s right, me. you’re acting as if i’m gonna pick her up and run away. if you’re that scared than we’ll both go. take her with us.”
coriolanus’s head whipped towards the cabin and you quickly flopped back down on the bed. you shut your eyes as you heard the door creak open. “gosh, doesn’t she look pretty?” lucy asked, knowing the answer already. “so calm, i liked her better when she was crying.” lucy hit him, “coriolanus snow!” he stroked the side of your face and you had to resist from turning your head and biting his fingers off.
“little dove.” your eyes opened again, turning your head his way tiredly. “we need to get some supplies okay?” you nodded as lucy went outside to gather the baskets she’d left out earlier on to dry. coriolanus’s hand dug into your cheeks as he forced you to look at him, “i told you i’d make you respect me. now listen, if you try anything when we’re in town i will never let you forget it. you’ll know who you belong to every single day. maybe i’ll pay your family a visit? an appointment with the hanging tree for being rebels? stealing?”
you shook your head violently as you began to cry, “you don’t want that? didn’t think so. you listen to me and everything will be fine. your family will get daily help and weekly groceries. they’ll never go hungry again. all thanks to their sweet little girl. lucy’s too nice, but don’t think for a second she’ll save you from me. you’re mine and if you try anything.” he leaned in to whisper, “i’ll strangle her with my bare hands infront of you.” his words were meant to scare you, and they did. but don’t you know? coriolanus snow doesn’t need a reason to do bad things.
coriolanus was wicked and ruthless when it came to what he wanted, if you had any hope of trying to get through this then you’d need lucy’s attention and help. so you nodded. “words sweetheart.” you swallowed your pride, your dignity, and you shook hands with the devil.
“yes, i’ll do what you say.” he straightened up, his white shirt a contrast to his dark thoughts.
“y’all ready to go?” lucy questioned as coriolanus grinned, “yes, yes we are.” he lifted you up and helped you dress, you hadn’t realised the fact that you were only dressed in his own white shirt, dress to you. he handled you like you were the most delicate object. as if he wasn’t hell bent on breaking you, over and over again. till you were fit to his standards. the captiol standards. the snow standards.
his, his, his.
with how obedient you were, he figured you’d do well in the capitol. which was exactly where he was meaning to bring you.
lucy walked in front of the two of you as you made your way through the woods. coriolanus’s hand was glued to your waist as he held you close, afraid to let go. you were at flight risk of course. his grip was tight and bruising. lucy’s humming distracted you at times, if you were delusional enough you could imagine it to be the two of you. your brothers far infront and the covey following. after an amazing afternoon at the lake, heading home for dinner, maybe a performance or the night shift.
your daydreaming was interrupted when you clocked coriolanus’s missing hand from your waist, and his arm now around lucy grays throat.
don’t you remember? you’d do well in the capitol! you were his! but not entirely, no.
not with her in the way.
you were frozen in place as lucy clawed at him before reaching out for you. a plea, a cry for help and aid yet you stood stuck in fear. a minute, two. she’d put up a strong fight, especially when you ran towards the two, pushing and shoving at coriolanus to let her go. but again, you fucked up.
here lies lucy gray baird, singer, victor, psycho.
obsessed? madly in love? you couldn’t think of another word, and as much as you wished to forget her, forget how she’d practically allowed another man into your relationship and let him kidnap you. her lifeless face and hollow eyes made your heart clench. but soon enough she was rolled over, thrown in a pre-made hole and buried. she’d survived the games but no one survived coriolanus snow.
“don’t forget what i said. don’t forget what you agreed to. you said you’d do as i say, i’m telling you to get up and follow me. we’re leaving district 12.” your face was painted with confusion as coriolanus clutched your face, “i’m going back, and you’re coming with me. don’t ask questions, just do as i say.”
and you did.
when he had you say goodbye to your family, a courtesy, a privilege he’d granted you. you kept it short and sweet, no questions just hugs and false promises of return.
when he ushered you onto the train and he wanted you to sit and be silent, you did.
through his time at the university, he wanted you close to him, living with him. and you did.
through his presidency campaign he wanted for you to charm sponsors and entice newcomers. you did.
when he wanted to marry you in a grand spectacle infront of the captiol and dress you up, you did as he asked.
when he held you down on your wedding night after tearing your dress off, biting and marking you down all over, pushing you down to your knees and took you all over the house, asking you to give yourself to him as if he didn’t take you anyways, you did.
you had no idea why at this point.
for your family? who hadn’t reached out in so long, even when they promised to talk to you every day? coriolanus had them all arrested, punished and hung for inciting riots and uprisings.
for your friends whom listened to your concerns of the capitol peacekeeper who hovered and didn’t make you feel crazy? each of them ended up dead in many different ways, hung, shot, a mugging gone wrong.
you didn’t know at this point and when you looked in the mirror you didn’t recognise the girl who stared back. a captiol sheep, dressed up in the finest silk dresses and slick heels yet the filth underneath the finery, jewels, and makeup weighed you down. each time he touched you, kissed you, fucked you, it felt like a peace of yourself was thrown away.
and as you clutched your swelling stomach, you couldn’t help but feel pity for baby number four.
maybe you’d grow up and find love.
maybe i’ll be able to take you all away from him.
maybe we’ll heal.
you thought, but in the back of your head, a little voice wouldn’t shut up.
you’ll always be his little dove.

you're my home (lucy gray baird x fem!reader)
info: cussing, ever so slight angst, mutual pining, confession, reader is running from district twelve with lucy gray
a/n: it's not weird to have a crush on someone with the first name as you !! taylor swift and taylor lautner did it leave me alone
»--•--«
you stirred from your rest at the bright sunbeams pouring through the trees. and maybe also lucy gray's insistent tugging and repetition of your name.
"holy shit," she grumbles, clearly dismayed. "wake up! we're almost there. gotta get moving."
" 'm up. lord."
you heaved a sigh and arched your back, a tight line of pops rushing down your spine. you took a deep inhale, eyes shutting again as you ran a hand along your fucked up, greasy hair.
traveling on foot for a week isn't the most flattering look.
when you peeled your eyes open, you were met with lucy gray's judging stare beating down on you. considering the way the corners of her lips twitched, though, you knew she couldn't stay annoyed at your heavy sleeping for too long.
"gimme a break, lucy gray. i'm not used to this," you rasped. you rolled out of your tent and lay dramatically on the forest floor. what's a little more dirt, anyway?
she scoffed and her radiance peeked through her exasperated face. the wide smile woke you up a little more.
"should've hung out with the covey more while we were still around the district," she scolds, grabbing your soft hands and wrapping them in hers to pull you to your feet. "might've taught you how to not be a baby."
"maybe. but i ran away with you, didn't i?" you retorted. "i think that makes me pretty grown."
lucy gray's playful smile faded into a more serene one. she simply gave a nod and stepped away, picking up her backpack.
"look what i found while you were asleep," she murmured. she pulled out eggs (poor mother bird), and a bundle of herbs for tea later. your mouth watered.
"no salt and pepper?" you teased, taking an egg and inspecting it. it was heavy. you were hit with homesickness as you remembered your kitchen, which sometimes struggled to stay stocked, but at least you had the chance for butter.
you both decided on soft-boiling the eggs in the tiny pot you begged lucy gray to pack before you ventured off. you sat and ate, peeling away the crackling shell and talking about the journey and whatever else before packing up and hiking through another day.
things were natural with her. hell, everything about her was natural. her beauty was untouched by the standards of the capitol and instead flourished freely. it was evident in the lively bounce of her dark waves and her sunkissed olive skin. you wondered when the last time was you looked in the mirror without picking everything apart, envying lucy gray's outward confidence.
"i still can't believe we're doing this," you spoke up, the silence becoming insufferable.
lucy gray turns her head to meet your eyes, her expression neutral. sweat pooled on her hairline and dripped down her temples. you knew if you reached out to touch her, her skin would be blazing with the power of the sun. good thing she doesn't burn.
"like, running away and all that. i thought i'd rot away in twelve for the rest of my life."
till i met you, you added on silently.
lucy gray laughed.
"a woman like you? naw, i had to steal you away. couldn't let such a beauty go to work in those damned mines."
"you really think i'm that much of a priss?" you sighed, batting your eyelashes at her sarcastically.
"oh, honey, i never said that. sometimes a girl just wants a treat for herself. so i got my treat."
you blamed the high noon for your feverish cheeks.
the minutes turned into hours, and the shadows stretched across the grass. laughter rang across the fields.
"your first kiss was billy taupe? he's so fucking boring, i'm sorry," you cackled, eyes shut tight from hysteria. "sadly for the rest of us, though...next to you, anyone is boring."
"what? first kisses aren't exactly known to be glamorous," lucy gray defended. "besides, i got the real deal after him."
"oh?" you perked up, voice stabilizing. "this mystery guy must be the reason your head was in the clouds...at least, according to maude."
suddenly, the happiness drained from her face. "for a while, i guess. wasn't worth it." you averted your eyes to the front of the scenery. your grip tightened around the straps of your backpack.
"you deserve better. you'll find someone. a hot guy from district four, maybe," you teased, nudging her arm with your elbow.
like me.
"oh, perfect, a fisher! don't even need to buy cologne for his birthday; it'd be useless against that rank," she remarks sourly.
you giggled as her teasing gaze met yours. your grin was mirrored, and you memorized the crevices of her smile lines. her eyes fluttered down to your lips for a brief moment before she cleared her throat and unraveled her map.
you let out a deep breath and looked around. you remembered when you first met lucy gray, frozen and terrified to see somebody else outside the limits of twelve. she eyed you warily from the lake, her lips parted and brow furrowed.
you realized you should probably say something to the girl in the lake, but you didn't know what. she waded toward you and began a less-than-friendly warning before you interrupted her.
"we don't have food. i'm just out here to gather some things."
the girl's voice halted and her shoulders reluctantly dropped from their defensive position.
"thank god."
"what are you doing in there? aren't you gonna get caught?" you inquired nervously, eyes flitting everywhere. the girl laughed brightly.
"those joke 'peacekeepers' don't care about anything that goes on past the fences. not even a covey girl swimming. scandalous, i know."
you stared as the sun washed over her soaked hair.
"lucy gray baird," she offered up her name. "but you can call me lucy gray. that's what all my friends call me."
"i'm..." you started, walking to the edge of the dock to meet her at the water.
she muttered something quietly, bringing you back to the present.
"what's that?"
"ah, just that we should stop here for the night. it's not a good idea to go through the forest in the dark. so easy to get lost," lucy gray corrects herself. you nodded and looked around for a spot.
"there looks good," you suggested, pointing to a spot under a lone cluster of trees. lucy gray hums in agreement before starting towards the spot, taking your hand in hers. your heart skipped.
the sky wept deep indigo, bleeding down into the horizon as the sun sank. insects chirped and buzzed, their calls flowing through the tree leaves and across the grassy plains. the fire was warm; the smell of roasted game and pungent tea carried away in the wind. lucy gray's wavy voice split the thick summer air pleasantly. your eyes stayed fixed on her. her dainty fingers held her tea. a sly smile painted her face.
"you stare a lot," she remarked. "you know that, right?"
your eyebrows raised a bit. you kept looking, wondering how she'd noticed and still hadn't even looked up to meet your gaze. until she did.
god, you loved the way her eyes looked like a cup of black coffee. the way your grandma used to make it. or maybe the tree bark you peeled away from a rotting trunk as a kid. the soil embedded between your fingers after a long day of work.
"i do know that," you responded a second too late. awkward delivery. you swallowed and looked into the towering coniferous forest. shadows crept from beneath the canopy and raised the hairs on the back of your neck.
"we should probably wrap it up soon," you insisted. "put out the fire, get to bed, all that." you picked at a scab till it flaked off.
lucy gray scoffed, setting her tea beside your backpacks.
"the sun is barely gone. just 'cause the birds are sleepin' don't mean we are."
you said nothing in return, still wary of the woods nearby. your fingers pressed firmly into the skin of your arms, which were rested on your knees. you sighed and put your head down.
you felt lucy gray's gaze burning into you. you felt the former scab swelling and the droplet of blood spilling down your arm.
"you messed with it too much. might get infected if we don't clean it," she asserted. you smiled with your head on your knees. lucy gray was making an excuse to touch you. you wondered silently if she felt the same intense heartrate, the same jolt of electricity every time your arms brushed as you hiked through the countryside.
away from all the rules.
you lifted your head and saw lucy gray hurrying back with a damp towel and honey. your brow furrowed.
"what's that for?"
she chuckled as she kneeled down to wipe away the blood and dirt with the towel.
"it'll keep that cut clean. antibacterial properties an' all. trust me."
your breath hitched as the towel made contact with your cut. the gentle sting of raw honey being spread across the wound is what snapped your drooping eyelids back open.
definitely not lucy gray's lips so close to you.
"...hey," she whispered.
"hi?" you responded, smiling a bit.
"it's alright if you're homesick. you can talk to me about it, if you'd like."
you breathed out a long sigh and pressed your forehead to hers. she hesitated before bringing her left hand to rest on the side of your face.
"lucy gray," you began, but struggled to finish. you pulled back slightly to make eye contact.
"i'm not that homesick. i have you," you whispered softly.
"you're my home."
you were met with a tense silence. you wanted to turn and run, because how could you be so stupid to tell her that, and you ruined the moment, and-
suddenly her lips are pressing gently into yours. your eyes widened. the taste of the tea she was drinking lingered on your tongue as she shuffled back.
"fuck! fuck, i'm sorry, i wasn't thinkin'," she apologized, voice shaking as she stared at you. she fiddled with her hands anxiously. you'd never seen her so flustered.
all you did was make your way back to her, cupping her face in a heavy kiss. you smiled against her, feeling her body relax into yours. her hands rested on top of yours before sliding comfortably onto your waist. she pulled back, jet black eyes bright with starlight and exhilaration.
"coming with you, getting away from twelve...it's been the best decision i ever made," you confessed, dropping your hands from her face and instead rubbing her arms. "i've wanted nothing except you for like, a year now."
"we've known each other for almost three years. i'm wounded," lucy gray teased, her fingers unsuccessfully smoothing the top layer of your hair.
"well, was i better than billy taupe?"
"quiet, you."

my girl 💌
lucy gray baird x fem reader
Lucy Gray would do anything for you. You want to celebrate Valentine’s Day? She’ll sell her soul to give you the day you deserve.
so much fluff, mentions of sex, 1.6k words
Tumblr media
Lucy Gray Baird has always thought of Valentine’s Day as a pointless, commercial event institutionalised by the Capitol.
The Covey has always rejected these kinds of capitalist holidays imposed solely for the purpose of making money, and Valentine’s Day is no exception to that rule. Lucy Gray doesn’t need the Capitol to tell her when she ought to celebrate her beloved. No, she’ll do that all year round. (As if the Covey don’t have their own festivities, anyway. Lucy Gray wakes you on every solstice with a bundle of flowers she’s picked from the woods, not bought, and poetic affirmations of her love.)
It hadn’t really occurred to her that you’d want to celebrate Valentine’s Day, to be honest. This is the first one you’ll be spending with her as her girlfriend, but you’ve known each other a long while and by now you’ve surely picked up on her indifference to the subject. This year she goes about her business as she always has, politely averting her gaze when she sees vendors at the Hob trying to pawn off Valentine-themed goods, and bringing you flowers or sweet little trinkets at any time she pleases. But if Lucy Gray is one thing, it’s hopelessly devoted to you, and she would do anything under the sun to bring a smile to your face. So when she hears you make an offhand comment to Tam Amber about wondering what this year’s Valentine’s Day will be like, her entire stance on the matter is instantly changed.
“You’re whipped beyond comprehension, Lu,” Barb Azure laughs as she watches her younger cousin fret over her plans.
“I don’t give a rat’s ass what you think of anythin’, Barb Azure, I just need your help,” Lucy Gray replies distractedly, kneading the dough of the bread she’s making with vigour. “So are you helpin’ me? Or no?”
On the morning of Valentine’s Day, Lucy Gray Baird kisses you awake, her smile so sweet you can taste it on your tongue.
“Mornin’, baby,” she says sweetly. She’s already up and dressed, and her skin is vibrant with the fresh-found dew of the morning. “Brought you flowers.”
“Morning, Lu,” your heart fills with warmth, “you’re the sweetest.”
“Happy Valentine’s, my sweet girl,” she murmurs, pulling you close to her, littering kisses atop of your hair. “Lord, I love you more’n anything.”
“Love you so much, Lucy Gray,” you whisper, toying with her fingers. You keep coming back to her ring finger, and solemnly swearing to yourself that someday you’ll find her a token of your love to wear upon it. Today isn’t the day — you’re both so young, still young enough to be Reaped — but you know that when the time comes you’ll give yourself over to Lucy Gray forever.
“When you’re thinkin’ that hard I can hear the bits in your brain whirring,” Lucy Gray tells you, eyes sparkling with mirth. “It’s real cute. What’s on your mind, darlin’?”
“Wanna marry you someday,” you mumble. Lucy Gray is rarely caught off guard, but this gets her, and her cheeks flood with colour. Her smile, though, only widens.
“I— it’ll happen someday, baby. I’ll make sure of it.”
You help one another get dressed, all giggles and teeth and hearts on sleeves. Outside it’s warm, the warmest it’s been all season, and you can feel winter breaking as life returns to the dormant earth beneath your feet.
“What’s today lookin’ like, Lu?” you ask.
“Thought we could go to the lake.” She grins easily at you, and it’s contagious.
The two of you amble through the woods, hand in hand, content to take your time together. The whole sweet sunny day stretches out in front of you, warm and dry (Lucy Gray takes one look at the clouds in the sky and determines today will be free of rain throughout, and in seventeen years she’s not been wrong yet) and full of love. Your eyes are fixed on her, the way hers are constantly darting around, not necessarily on guard but more eager to take in all the world has to offer. Every little detail is of significance to Lucy Gray. How her brain works is a beautiful mystery to you, but you’ve learnt she has a way of reading her surroundings, and she can see signs of the future in the earth as easily as she can breathe. Barb Azure says she’s a walking oracle. A few times she’s tried to explain to you how she notices what she does. There’s always a kind of sense to it, but you’ll never get it in the way she does. You’re more than content to sit back and watch her in her element, though. You just feel grateful to be by her side, your one and only, your angel among men.
“Look.” She stops you to point at two four-leaved clovers at the roots of a tree which have grown together so much that their stems are intertwined. “That means you’n me are forever.”
Your stomach swarms with butterflies. “Sure hope so.”
“I know so,” she tells you, brown eyes bright as she presses a kiss to your lips.
The little earthy plateau above the jetty of the lake, the one protruding from the flowers and trees, has been absolutely transformed since you saw it last. The thick, sturdy picnic blanket often used by the Covey on adventures has been laid out beautifully, and is held in secure place by rocks piled on each corner. Ever so carefully arranged atop the blanket are comfy pillows and a picnic for two, with the food set out all pretty in little jars and bowls and handkerchiefs. From where you’re stood you can see a few different kinds of bread and cake, freshly pressed jams, and fruits and berries. Even with how much of this she could’ve foraged, it shakes you how much tesserae has gone into this. Propped against the bough of a tree is her beloved guitar, with her little notebook of songs beside it.
You let out a little noise of surprise when you first lay eyes upon the scene. Lucy Gray fights a losing battle in trying not to smile at how fucking cute you are.
“What’d’you think?” she asks instead, not quite looking at you, toeing at the ground. “Barb Azure helped me with all the bakin’, n’then me’n the boys dolled it up all nice. They were real helpful.” (You know exactly what she means, too. Clerk Carmine is shaping up to be a real painter, he’s got an artist’s eye, and you know this kind of thing would be right up his street.)
You’re in awe for a moment, not even sure what to say. Lucy Gray’s dark eyes blink at you hopefully. She’d never say it, she’d rather die than say it, but you know that the ever so subtle tension to her shoulders, the slight tilt to her chin phrase a silent question.
“It… it’s so gorgeous, Lu, I can’t even, thank you,” you manage. Her posture softens and she steps forward to cup your face in her hands.
“I wanna treat you how you deserve, baby,” she tells you sincerely, and then pecks at your lips before her arms drop down to her sides again. “Now c’mon, or the damn flies’ll eat before we do.”
The two of you stay at the lake together for hours. Perhaps you wouldn’t have picked a February picnic of your own volition, but just as Lucy Gray predicted the weather’s so gorgeous you’re sure she must’ve charmed the skies the way she does with everyone else. You voice this thought to her, and she only laughs, her smile reaching her eyes as she feeds you another berry.
Eventually, as the sun begins to set above the two of you, painting the sky in pinks and golds, the air grows cooler, and you find yourself shivering in Lucy Gray’s arms. Ever-vigilant, she notices.
“Awww, is my baby cold?” she coos. “Don’t worry, I’ll warm you up.” Her hands ghost your sides teasingly, and you blush.
“Shut your mouth, Lucy Gray.”
She gasps, feigning offence. “Why, I thought you liked it wide open.”
You let out a noise of surprise, and hide your face in her hair. Lucy Gray laughs heartily, and cradles you to her, telling you over and over how sweet you are. The moon awakes her silver tongue, though, and as the skies get darker she trips you up again and again with filthy words which, eventually, turn to filthy actions.
Once the act is over, once Lucy Gray’s mouth has been put to good use, the two of you swaddle yourselves in all of the blankets and lie in a little cocoon, gazing up at the stars.
“Thank you, for today,” you whisper, so close to her that you don’t have to move at all to kiss her cheek. “Means a lot.”
She shrugs, nonchalant. “You honour our culture, you join in and all. This day was important to you, I wanted t’honour yours.”
You laugh softly. “You’re sweet. …I don’t think I would call the Districts my culture.”
“No?” Lucy Gray asks, genuinely curious. You shake your head. “What is, then?”
“Don’t know. I got nothing. Just what you teach me.”
She lets out a hum of amusement. “Yeah? You wanna be Covey?” She says it with humour, but the hope in your eyes has her straightening a little. “Y— you do?”
“If you’ll have me,” you say shyly.
Her heart swells against the bars of her chest. “If we’ll ha—? Darlin’, I want this more’n anything,” she tells you lowly. “We love you. I love you. You’re one of us.”
“I’m yours,” you whisper.
“You’re mine. I’m yours. My girl,” she murmurs, fingers beginning to comb through your hair. You press your cheek against hers, so overwhelmed with love for her, and continue to gaze up at the stars with your love.

Lucy Gray: Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!
Lamina: It was unbelievable!
Lucy Gray: Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!
Clemencia: Okay, we wanna hear everything. Lucy, get the wine and unplug the phone. Lammy, does this end well or do we need tissues?
Lamina: Oh, it ended very well.
Lucy Gray: Do not start without me! Do not start without me!

Lamina: Well, at first it was really intense, you know? And then, oh God, and then we just sort of sunk into it.
Clemencia: Ohh... So, okay, was she holding you? Or were her hands on your back?
Lamina: First they started out on my waist and then they slid up and then they were in my hair.
Lucy Gray and Clemencia: Ooooo!

Stunned by the Blyth sister *PART 1*
Tumblr media
Pairing: Rachel Zegler x Y/N Blyth summary: Rachel Zagler discovers on the premiere of the new hunger games movie that Tom has a sister and boy oh boy, is she smitten for the girl. Tom first very protective over his baby sister, eventually trusts his sister and Rachel A/N: this was a request. i will tell you guys, I'm not into short stories as I have to much fun with it. this will be a multipart but don't worry I will try to contain myself.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The premiere of the highly anticipated "Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" was enveloped in an electric buzz. The red carpet stretched like a scarlet river, lined with flashing cameras, excited fans, and eager reporters. The night sky sparkled with the glint of stars, mirroring the glittering anticipation in the air.
As the first limousine glided to a stop, the crowd's murmur rose to a crescendo. The door opened, and out stepped Rachel Zegler, the radiant starlet at the heart of the film. The dazzling flashbulbs captured her every step as she gracefully descended from the car, the slit of her elegant gown revealing glimpses of stardust heels.
Rachel, with an air of effortless glamour, smiled and waved to the throngs of admirers. Her presence was magnetic, and the crowd couldn't get enough. The excitement heightened as she made her way down the scarlet path, pausing for interviews, and showering the fans with gratitude.
Meanwhile, the night air was charged with the anticipation of the film itself. "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" promised to be a spectacle, and the cast, including the enigmatic Hunter Schafer and the charismatic Tom Blyth, had already become the talk of the town. The chemistry between the stars was a tantalizing mystery that fueled the fervor surrounding the movie.
As Rachel Zegler reached the entrance, the hushed whispers among the crowd transformed into cheers. The night was still young, and the premiere held the promise of an unforgettable experience. The stage was set, the players were in place, and the audience awaited the unfolding of "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" with bated breath.
As Rachel continued to charm the red carpet, gracefully navigating the sea of flashes and adoring fans, the crowd's attention shifted to the arrival of the next A-lister. Another sleek limousine pulled up to the premiere, and all eyes were fixed on its glamorous passenger.
The door swung open, and out stepped Hunter Schafer, an icon of both beauty and rebellion. Dressed in an avant-garde ensemble that blended elegance with a touch of defiance, Hunter exuded an aura of cool confidence. The cameras clicked furiously as she made her way down the scarlet path, each step a deliberate statement.
Hunter's presence added an intriguing layer to the evening. Known for her bold choices both on and off the screen, she became the epitome of the film's enigmatic allure. As she moved through the crowd, she shared knowing glances with Rachel, and the chemistry between the two stars sparked speculation among fans and the media alike.
The duo's camaraderie was palpable, creating a magnetic energy that enveloped the red carpet. Hunter, with a playful smile, engaged in brief conversations with reporters, dropping hints about the complexity of her character in "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes." The anticipation for the film intensified with each passing moment.
The night, which began with the radiant presence of Rachel Zegler, now took on a new dynamic with the arrival of Hunter Schafer. The red carpet had become a stage where the stars, like characters in a tantalizing drama, unveiled glimpses of the intrigue awaiting audiences in the cinematic world they were about to enter. As the two leading ladies joined forces for photo opportunities, the air buzzed with excitement.
Hunter Schafer and Rachel Zegler continued down the red carpet, their smiles and laughter painted the scene with an air of camaraderie that captivated onlookers. The chemistry between them became a spectacle in itself, leaving fans eager to see the on-screen dynamic they had forged in "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes."
Cameras flashed as the dynamic duo posed for photos, their infectious energy lighting up the night. Reporters clamored for a chance to ask questions, and one bold interviewer seized the opportunity to delve into the personal side of Rachel's experience with the film.
"Rachel, you and Hunter seem to share an incredible connection both on and off the screen. But we can't help but wonder, was it awkward working with your ex, Josh Rivera, on this movie?" the interviewer inquired, the question hanging in the air like a carefully crafted cliffhanger.
Rachel's expression momentarily shifted, a subtle acknowledgment of the question's weight. She gracefully composed herself before responding, "Working on this project was an incredible experience, and I think we all came together as a team to bring this story to life. Everyone involved, including Josh, brought their A-game, and we focused on creating something special for the audience."
Hunter chimed in, adding, "We're all professionals, and our priority was making this film the best it could be. The dynamic on set was collaborative, and I think that energy translates into the final product. It's a testament to the dedication of everyone involved."
The response, delivered with poise and diplomacy, seemed to satisfy the curiosity of the reporters. As Rachel and Hunter continued down the red carpet, the night unfolded like a carefully scripted drama, leaving the lingering question of the on-screen chemistry between the cast members as a mystery to be unraveled on the silver screen.
The interviewer, undeterred by the diplomatic response, continued to probe into the personal lives of the stars, determined to uncover any nugget of gossip that might fuel the media frenzy surrounding the film.
"Rachel, with all the glamour and charm around you tonight, fans are curious—is there anyone in particular who has caught your eye? Any off-screen romance blossoming amidst the drama of 'The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes'?" the interviewer asked with a sly grin.
Rachel laughed, her eyes twinkling, "Oh, you're trying to stir up some intrigue, aren't you? But honestly, right now, my focus is entirely on celebrating this incredible project and the amazing team behind it. The only romance happening here is the love we all have for bringing Suzanne Collins' story to life."
Hunter Schafer chimed in playfully, "Yeah, we're all in a committed relationship with this movie. It's a passionate affair with the art and storytelling."
The response was met with a ripple of laughter from the crowd, and the duo continued to navigate the sea of questions with grace and humor. The interviewer, while persistent, couldn't pry any juicy details from the stars. As the red carpet experience unfolded, it became evident that, amidst the glamour and speculation, the focus remained firmly on the film itself—the culmination of hard work, dedication, and a shared commitment to storytelling.
As the interview continued to unravel, the red carpet became a bustling tapestry of excitement, with more cast members arriving to join the festivities. The air was charged with anticipation, and the presence of the film's leading man, Tom Blyth, who portrayed Coriolanus Snow, added an extra layer of intrigue to the evening.
Tom stepped onto the red carpet, exuding a commanding yet charismatic presence. The flashbulbs intensified as the crowd's attention pivoted toward the enigmatic figure. Dressed in a sharp tailored suit, Tom seemed to effortlessly embody the complex character of Coriolanus Snow, his piercing gaze and confident demeanor capturing the essence of the Capitol's cunning president.
On Tom's arm was a stunning companion, her elegance complementing his own debonair style. Whispers rippled through the crowd as onlookers tried to discern the identity of the mystery woman accompanying the leading man. As Tom and his companion approached, the red carpet seemed to part to make way for the power couple of the evening.
Rachel, who had momentarily paused mid-sentence during the interview, was among those who couldn't help but be captivated by the entrance of her co-star. Her eyes widened slightly, and a subtle curiosity played across her features as she observed Tom and the elegant woman by his side.
The interviewer, sensing a shift in the atmosphere, adjusted the focus of the conversation. "Rachel, it looks like your leading man has just arrived. What are your thoughts on working with Tom Blyth and the incredible dynamic you two share in the film?"
Rachel, regaining her composure, smiled and replied, "Working with Tom has been an absolute pleasure. He brings such depth to the character of Coriolanus Snow, and the chemistry between our characters is a crucial element of the story. It's been a collaborative journey, and I think audiences will be intrigued by the twists and turns in our on-screen relationship."
Meanwhile, Tom and his companion continued to make their way down the red carpet, pausing for photos and exchanging pleasantries with reporters. The whispers and speculations about the leading man's date added an unexpected twist to the evening, setting the stage for a premiere that promised both on-screen and off-screen drama.
As Tom and his companion continued to strike poses for the flashing cameras, it became increasingly evident that the mystery woman was none other than Tom's little sister, Y/n Blyth. The realization rippled through the crowd, and a collective sigh of relief replaced the earlier speculation.
Tom, maintaining his suave demeanor, whispered comforting words to his sister as they navigated the red carpet. Y/n, although appearing slightly overwhelmed by the glitz and glamour of the premiere, managed a grateful smile at her brother's reassuring words. The bond between them was palpable, and the genuine moment of sibling support added a heartwarming touch to the red carpet spectacle.
Reporters, quick to pick up on the familial connection, directed their questions toward Tom and Y/n. "Tom, it's a pleasant surprise to see your sister here with you tonight. How does it feel to share this special moment with her?" inquired one reporter.
Tom, his arm wrapped protectively around Y/n, replied with a genuine smile, "It's truly special. Y/n has always been my biggest supporter, and having her here tonight makes the experience even more memorable. This film is a labor of love for all of us, and to share it with family is truly meaningful."
Y/n, still adjusting to the spotlight, added, "I'm incredibly proud of Tom and what he has accomplished with this role. Being here and witnessing the culmination of his hard work is a surreal experience."
The red carpet, which had initially buzzed with speculation and intrigue, now embraced a warm and familial atmosphere. Tom and Y/n posed for more photos, their smiles reflecting the shared pride in the moment. As the brother-sister duo made their way into the venue, the crowd's attention shifted back to the overarching excitement surrounding "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes."

~My Songbird~
Fem Oc x Lucy Gray
Reneé Rapp as OC.
Summary: Ana, a respected student and member of the capital finds her morals challenged when she becomes the mentor of the first tribute known as Lucy Gray.
Warnings: Swearing, violence, character loss, eventual smut in later chapters.
~Chapter 1~
In a dystopian world ravaged by war and poverty, 18-year-old Lucy Gray struggles to survive in District 12, the poorest and most marginalized district in the nation of Panem. After being reaped as a tribute for the 10th annual Hunger Games, Lucy found herself in the spotlight.
Back at the capitol, everyone was preparing for the games, some to getting ready to watch, some getting ready to teach. Among them is Ana, a fierce and ambitious student from the capitol, who is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray, a cunning and independent girl from District 12.
“District 12: Female. Lucy Gray”, the announcer called. A young woman with long locks of brunette hair and a colorful gown made her way up to the stage, sporting a detailed floral corset. “She looks like a clown”, Arachne, your topical cliche rich mean girl laughed. Everyone gasped in surprise once she placed a snake in the dress of the mayors daughter before she was escorted forcefully to the stage.
She took a good look around at her surroundings before she began to sing. “Is she really singing right now?”, Arachne snickered as she saw Lucy Gray perform on the reaping stage. Ana rolled her eyes at this before returning her focus to the screen. She lightly smiled, finding the girl to be intriguing. Her voice was smooth like honey, and she had found her dress to be pretty. It was unique, it was colorful, it was very… Lucy Gray.
~Time Skip~
The time has come for the tributes to make their way to the capitol. Ana waited with a white rose in hand, sucking in a nervous breath as the train made an abrupt stop in front of her.
She flushed when the stunning tribute poked her head out of the caboose. Lucy Gray looked down, and to her surprise was met with her mentor. Ana held out a hand to help her out of the train, offering her a kind smile. Hesitantly, Lucy grabbed her hand and let her help her down.
“Hello, my name is Ana. I am going to be your mentor.”, the girl introduced herself. “I’m sorry that you were just thrown into this with no choice, but I just want you to know that I will do all I can to ensure you are brought home safely”, she explained, offering her the rose.
Lucy tilted her head. She didn’t expect to meet a member of the capitol who treated her like a human. However, she still was skeptical. She took the rose and thanked her, offering a small smile.
The small moment of silence was interrupted as a group of peacekeepers began to forcefully group all the tributes together, forcing them into a metal carriage to be transported to the capitol zoo.
Ana made sure the peacekeepers weren’t looking before she sprinted towards the carriage, jumping inside just before the doors closed.
“You lost pretty girl?”, a tall man by the name of Reaper teased, causing Ana to flinch uncomfortably. “Nope. I love it here, this is a very nice carriage”, she hummed. “Well, I think you’ve got the wrong one.”, a girl with short red hair threatened. Coral was her name, her mere presence gave Ana an uneasy feeling.
“Let’s kill her!”, one of the tributes yelled, a group of them backing her into a corner. “No!-” Lucy began before everyone let out a scream as the carriage started to shake. Distressed noises could be heard as the doors opened, causing everyone to fall out.
Ana groaned as she got up, eyes widening in horror as she saw they were enclosed in a large cage. “The capitol zoo? What the fuck..”, she mumbled. She turned her head towards the sound of a frustrated huff, her eyes met with Lucy Gray’s. The district 12 girl awkwardly looked up at her, cheeks flushing as Ana reached down with her hand to help her up.
“Thank you”, she rushed out, brushing off her dress. Their heads shot in the direction of a loud voice.
“Hello all and welcome to the 10th annual Hunger Games! I’m your host, Lucky Flickerman and- wait a minute”, he squinted in the direction of Ana. “You’re wearing the academy colors. What are you doing in there?” He asked.
Hesitantly, Ana made her way towards the fence, gasping onto the cold metal bars. “Well, I wanted to make a good impression. Had to show my dear tribute that she wasn’t alone in this. Besides, I’m all for an adventure”, she grinned, placing her hands on her hips.
“Ah, impressive! And what, may I ask, is your name?” Lucky asked.
“The names Ana, Ana Barlowe, and this here is the talented Lucy Gray”, she took her hand and brought her forward.
“Lucy Gray! Tell me about yourself”, Lucky said. Lucy took a quick look around before starting.
“Well as you know my name is Lucy Gray, and I guess you can say I’m from all over. My family, The Covey, travels around the world to perform. That is until we were forced into staying in district 12 and majority of us were killed off”, she stated.
Lucky awkwardly smiled at the camera. “So you’re from district 12 then?” he asked.
Lucy offered a fake smile before responding. “I guess you could say that.”
The conversation was then interrupted when a group of peacekeepers stormed the zoo, forcefully dragging Ana out of the enclosure.
Lucy tried to protest, her pleas being ignored. Before they could completely separate Ana from the enclosure, she took Lucy’s hand in her own, quickly whispering, “I’ll come find you, don’t worry.”
Lucy helplessly watched as they escorted Ana away from the zoo. Ana gave her a sympathetic look before turning around.
~Time Skip~
Ana made her way to the capitol zoo, having snuck past the peacekeepers as the clock struck midnight.
She ran towards the fence, calling out for Lucy in a hushed tone. A smile appeared onto her face as the girl emerged from her original position.
Lucy made her way to the girl, wrapping her fingers around the metal bars. “Hello”, she greeted, a light blush coloring her face.
“I brought you something”, Ana whispered, handing her a small wrapped package containing 10 sandwiches, and a small loaf of bread. There was also a large flask of water, she could share these items with her fellow tributes.
“Eat up, love, you’ve got a big day ahead of yourself.” Lucy’s heart fluttered at the name she was called. Ana bent down to her knees, sitting on the other side as Lucy sat to cross her legs.
“Thank you so much”, she smiled, taking a bite out of the sandwich. She almost moaned at the taste, as she hadn’t eaten in days.
Ana grinned at her. shit. She thought to herself. She was growing attached to the girl infront of her, and she didn’t want anything bad to happen to her. These games were dangerous, and she couldn’t bare with herself if anything happened to her.
She hesitantly reached her hand through the bars, affectionately brushing a few stray strands of dark hair out of Lucy’s face. Lucy blushed at this, smiling widely as she let herself rest against the bars, giving her the best embrace she could.
“I’ll do everything I can to make sure you win, whatever it takes. I don’t want anything to happen to you”, Ana sighed. Their fingers interlocked, a tender silence forming between them.
“I’ll be here tomorrow at the same time after our tour of the arena, I’ve got to go now. Please eat”, she uttered. Lucy locked eyes with her, brown meeting blue.
Both girls sucked in a breath, an uneasy tension building as the games got closer by each passing second.
“Goodbye.. and thank you”, she whispered, earning a nod in response.
She watched from afar as Ana quietly ran off, making sure not to alert anyone.
Till tomorrow.., Lucy thought to herself, her heart racing.
Ana

Lucy Gray Baird x Fem! Covey Member! Reader Summary: Lucy Gray wasn't the jealous type, but oh, did she feel terrible when she saw Coriolanus with you. Warnings: none Word count: 1.3k ⊹₊。ꕤ˚₊⊹
Lucy Gray wasn’t the jealous type, everyone knew that. Yes, she could enact revenge if she wanted to, but it was very specific and rarely happened. Her shoving that snake down Mayfair’s dress? Bound to happen! Don’t send your boyfriend's ex into the hunger games.
But she was full of love, so it wasn’t surprising that she got a thing for you of all people. She knew you for years, having grown up together after leaving the man that took care of them before he died of black lung. Your family had helped the Covey get to their feet again for the short amount of time your parents were alive. The rampant deaths from black lung affected your family and later passed. Out of thankfulness, Lucy Gray offered you join the Covey and help them with shows. Thankfully, you accept.
Her romantic feelings weren’t immediate, but her affection grew overtime. It didn’t happen while Billy Taupe was dating her, but she couldn’t deny a place in her heart was saved for you.
After Lucy Gray found Billy Taupe was cheating on her with Mayfair, she didn’t try putting that on your hands since
Lucy Gray sang love ballads hidden behind platonic love, singing about the beauty of your eyes and how she would get lost in them, and your kindness and how you were bound for the good. If she can’t tell if you love her like she does, she’ll say they’re platonic and are just grateful for your care.
After being sent to the Capital for the Hunger Games, she had grown fond of Coriolanus, her mentor. Of course, Lucy Gray would talk about her life back home, it being suggested after she said Wovey reminded her of Maude Ivory. She would go on long streams of compliments and say you were born with beauty she could never describe but try her best anyway.
It enchanted Coriolanus too.
Lucy Gray’s time spent in the Capital and in the arena wasn’t fun for obvious reasons, her time spent mainly worrying about her life being on the line, how the Covey was holding up in District 12 and how you were helping them. She hoped the shows were still doing well without her there.
Once she got back to 12, Lucy Gray had almost run home if it wasn’t from exhaustion and stress. If her time back home wasn’t spent getting food to eat, bathing, and sleeping, maybe she would have confessed to you.
Life had gone back to normal only a couple weeks later, the Games not being prominent in Lucy Gray and the Covey’s life after. Though it was only mentioned before shows to remind the audience she was a victor.
You had gone back to your job assisting the Covey in getting the cash donations from the audience and getting their things to and from the house. The days went by normally.
But who would have thought Coriolanus would follow Lucy Gray back.
The summer heat had gotten as bad as the year before, humid with the smell of sweat and coal from the coal miners, their uniforms still smelling of the two. Lucy Gray had gotten the idea to spend Sunday at the lake house, needing to get away from her problems and stress after the Games. Coriolanus had been allowed to go along since peacekeeper work and had gotten tiring and he was offered to relax too.
Like it was stated before, Lucy Gray wasn’t naturally sadistic or vengeful, she wouldn’t commit violence unless she was in a situation where the other person swung first, or she truly needed to. It wasn’t like her jealousy was prominent before Coriolanus became more obvious with his feelings.
While at the lake, Coriolanus would try sweet talking to you. Though you would make jokes about how his accent and slang was odd, he’d continue trying his best to get you to realize how he really felt.
Lucy Gray would watch and listen with disdain for his sweet talk. She couldn’t deny that you were gorgeous and a sweetheart, but she couldn’t stop herself from becoming jealous.
The day passed slowly for Lucy Gray, watching as you laughed with Coriolanus, his smile a little too wide for her liking. She would occasionally break into the conversation to try and bring the attention back to her. Part of her wanted to try sweet talking with you but didn’t think it would work. If you liked her, it would be obvious right now.  She did care for Coriolanus for the fact he took care of her in the Capital but trying to get with you? Ew!
The lake water shimmered under the moonlight, the firelight covered the grass around the Covey and Coriolanus. They sat with each other and sang happily, making campfire foods from their bags. On the other hand, You and Lucy Gray were inside the lake house, fixing the wet swimsuits. She had gone silent from annoyance, which you noticed throughout the day.
Lucy Gray had spent her time by the fire not wanting to sing for her guest or trying to partake in the sing-alongs either. Simply eating her food quietly, making remarks when she was expected to. The day eventually needed to end, leaving the campfire put out with a bucket of lake water while the Covey and Coriolanus had gone inside.
You watched as Lucy Gray tried going inside too, quietly making her way to the door to go to bed.
__
“Lucy Gray,” you mutter and grab her arm, stopping her gently from leaving you outside alone. She looked back at you blankly, almost solemnly, causing you to tilt your head. “You’ve been a little quiet.”
Lucy Gray hesitantly nodded and pulled her hand away. “Just don’t have anything to say,” she remarked and looked down at the ground.
“Bit surprising,” you smile at her but it quickly fell when you realized she pulled away. “What's wrong, Lucy Gray?”
Lucy Gray paused for a moment, looking at you as though you were a puzzle she was trying to solve. She spoke again.
“Do you like… Coriolanus?” She asked, looking at you with a saddened expression. Your eyes widened at the idea whatever you felt for Coriolanus, of all people, would be a possible lover. “I understand if you do.”
“What?” You mumble and narrow your eyes. Lucy Gray looked away from you, not wanting to get too teary eyed when she spoke.
“I… I want you to reconsider. Please,” Lucy Gray said, stammering slightly. “I know I’m your friend but I’ve been in love with you for a long while. And if you truly love Coriolanus, I can understand but know there will always be a place in my heart for you.”
It was only seconds after Lucy Gray had spoken that your hands held the soft flesh of Lucy Gray’s face, keeping her close as her lips pressed against yours. She almost instinctively pulled away before realizing who was kissing her. You!
She had only dreamed of how soft your lips were when you got her attention, each time you smiled and spoke she wished she could touch your lips. She was now and couldn’t believe it was real life. Her hands had gone to your clothes, holding on tightly as she kept her eyes closed almost as tightly as your grasp.
You didn’t pull away for what felt like hours, keeping her to your body out of -what could only be described as- desperation. Your and Lucy Gray’s breathing had grown quick with what she thought was proven adoration. It didn’t matter if you both stopped in a couple seconds and went inside, she would just hope you would give her more kisses later in time. But you didn’t pull away now and whatever you had planned for the night with her didn’t matter, as long as you held her in your arms.
⊹₊。ꕤ˚₊⊹
Thank you for the support!!! Highkey sucks, I rushed to get this done.

Coriolanus has never been the easiest person to understand. His mind was always racing and it kept you on your toes. Even now as he fretted over his appearance in the mirror you could tell his mind was thinking of a million things beyond whether or not his tie fit him correctly.
"For what it's worth, I think you look perfect." You say, sipping at your drink, you had been ready for nearly twenty minutes while Coriolanus was still figuring out what tie matched his pants best.
"I'm sure you do but this isn't just any party, I'm campaigning tonight and everything must be perfect." He says adjusting his hair even though it already sat perfectly styled atop his head.
It was Coriolanus' 23rd birthday and instead of celebrating like you usually did, you were both spending it at a party full of people who might help him reach the presidency by the beginning of next year. You approach him and wrap your arms around him, resting your chin on his shoulder.
"It will be." You assure, pressing a kiss to his exposed neck where his makeup artist did a wonderful job at covering the marks you had left behind last night.
"If all goes well tonight, you might just become the first lady of Panem one day." He smiles at you through the mirror
"Does that mean we're getting married?" You laugh, trying to ignore the way your heart skipped a beat at the idea of being with him forever
"Maybe..." Coriolanus says suddenly avoiding your eyes as his face reddens under your gaze.
You giggle at your boyfriend's flustered face, despite how grown up he had become in the past few years he was still the same boy you met at the academy all those years ago who just wanted his own bowl of fruit to gobble down.
"You definitely wanna marry me, Coryo!" You say almost as if you had discovered a secret of his.
"Well if you're not interested I can always find another." He jests, finally tying his tie.
"Oh please, I'm the only one who could ever tolerate you." You smile as he spins around to face you and rests his hands on your hips
"That you are, darling, that you are." He smiles and presses a chaste kiss to your lips
Coriolanus is sure you are his favorite person in the entire world. From the way you'd laugh at his jokes to the way your nose whistled when you slept, he loved it all. Even now as the two of you had long abandoned your teenage years and stepped into adulthood, he knew he didn't want to lose you. His interactions with Lucy Gray and his time in District 12 had only solidified how he wanted you to stay close to him. He watches as you cross the room to slip into a pair of pretty high heels, he loved the way your dress sat on your body, it was perfectly fitted and he wondered what designer had been able to craft it so perfectly.
He looked back at the mirror and pretended to fiddle with his outfit again even though he knew he looked perfect. Instead, his eyes cast to the small table next to the mirror where a collection of photos sat you and him over the past five years. His favorite though was the one that was taken at your 17th birthday party. He remembered how warm it had been, and at one point someone had filled a bucket of water and tossed at you. He had expected you to cry out and push everyone out of your home but instead, he was met with your laughter and thus a water fight had begun. The picture of the two of you had been taken not even twenty minutes later, both of you were drenched but happy and you had linked your arms together right before the picture was taken. Sometimes he wished to go back to those moments, to relieve the last bits of his boyhood even though it meant going back to that decrepit building he once lived in and the taste of cabbage a constant on his tongue.
"Thinking about the past?" You ask from across the room.
"Thinking about how ugly we look here." He says picking up the photo
"Nonsense, we're adorable in that. If I remember correctly that was taken a few weeks before you tripped me in my room trying to slow dance and then you gave me the kiss of a lifetime." You smile
"I didn't trip you, you tripped me with your bad dancing." He laughed, returning the photo to its proper place among the others.
"Whatever you say, Coryo." You smiled, he could tell you didn't believe one word that came from his mouth about the tripping incident.
These parties were always a bit tedious for you. You enjoyed seeing Coriolanus happy among Capitol elites and you loved the lavish dresses you got to wear but sometimes it became overwhelming. The sheer amount of reporters that were always at these things is what drove you crazy. Coriolanus ate the attention up and answered all their questions about how he'd change Panem for the better but you were usually left answering questions about what your dress was made of or what your relationship was with Coriolanus. He often assured you that once he won the presidency he'd have more control over what was asked and that you'd never have to answer another dress question again. You hoped he won as soon as possible, it was tiring pretending this line of questioning was interesting.
"Is that real gold on your sleeves?"
"Is that ring on your finger an engagement ring?"
"Who did your hair for the evening?"
"Are you going to have the future president's children?"
"Did you seduce Coriolanus Snow for power in the Capitol?"
"How many toes do you have?"
God you wished they'd all shut up, or at least get better questions. Even just something as small as your involvement with your father's company would've been better than this. You ignored whatever trash was coming from their mouths and held on to Coriolanus' arm like he was going to disappear and end up back in District 12 again.
You remembered that day very well, after Coriolanus' tribute had won he had just disappeared despite promising to walk you home after the games had ended. When he didn't show up for graduation either, you found yourself outside Tigris and Grandma'am's new residence looking for answers. Tigris had told you what happened with him and that girl, Lucy Gray, how he cheated with rat poison and a handkerchief of his father's. At first, you had been distraught that he was sent off to District 12, stuck there for twenty years as some peacekeeping grunt, you'd be an ugly middle-aged woman by the time he got back! You had been in the pits of despair about your relationship with him but all it took was one terrifying meeting with Dr. Gaul to change your attitude. Once she revealed that Coriolanus would be back in the Capitol soon, and she was simply testing his dedication to the games, you relaxed. While Dr. Gaul might not have all her marbles you knew she wasn't lying, and sure enough, your Coriolanus returned to you in a matter of weeks.
However, he returned to you differently though. Sure, his head was shaved like all Peacekeepers and the curls you loved to play with were gone, but his attitude had also changed. Perhaps it was that Songbird he never wanted to speak of even now. You could never quite place what happened between Coriolanus and her, all that mattered to you was that he had assured you it wasn't romantic. Just shared ambitions to both win something. In her case her life and in his the Plinth Prize, not that that went well for her since she had disappeared shortly after she went home. You weren't quite sure what to make of Lucy Gray, the mysterious Songbird who had enchanted all of Panem just five years ago. You had only spoken to her once and it was just to compliment her singing during her interview. She hadn't exactly impressed you with her in that moment but she must have impressed Coriolanus at some point if he was willing to break rules for her.
Or perhaps his change was due to whatever training Peacekeepers went through and the death of Sejanus that had rocked the entire Capitol when he was revealed as a traitor, you knew Coriolanus had been close to him. Of course, despite all his changes and attitude adjustments, he never applied them to you. So, here you stayed by his side, happy that he still loved you the same. Soft touches and sweet words remained constant as the two of you aged and explored the advantages of adulthood. One of your favorite things about being 23 was moving out of your family's home and into the penthouse Coriolanus had chosen for the two of you. Waking up next to Coriolanus each day and seeing how he looked before his eyes fluttered open had to be your favorite part of the days you spent together. Brushing his hair from his eyes and counting the freckles that just barely brushed his pale skin was something you did daily until his pretty blue eyes met yours again. Once he did wake though, it was hard to get him to stay in bed with you. His peaceful state was always replaced with a man who was always working towards something, ambition was always fueling him.
You didn't mind his rough exterior that emerged each morning though, Coriolanus was cold and hard on everyone but you. Perhaps it was your shared childhood memories and teenage romance that prevented him from treating you coldly like he did poor Tigris but you weren't sure. One thing you did know was that the boy you grew up with was gone and a man stood in his place, brooding and cold to everyone but you.
"I'm going to get us a drink and then if you want we can dance." He whispered in your ear
"Can you get me that fizzy lemon drink they usually serve?" You ask
"Of course, I'll bring you some of those hors d'oeuvres you like with the cheese as well."
And then, he was gone from your side moving expertly through the crowd. That dazzling blonde hair accompanied by the broadest shoulders you've ever seen on a man disappeared among the throngs of people craning their necks to get a better look at the future president and his pretty face.
"A true marvel isn't he?" a voice to your right said
You turned to be met by none other than Lucky Flickerman, a drink in one hand and a young child's hand grasped in the other.
"I'm not interested in doing an interview, Lucky. If you want information on Coryo you can ask him yourself." You say, ready to walk away from the Capitol's favorite news anchor turned Hunger Games host.
"Coryo...what an interesting nickname, a bit childish for a man who might watch over us all soon. No matter, I would however absolutely love to report on you one day and maybe even that big business you're the heiress of, but I'm actually talking to you for this little one tonight." Lucky smiles motioning to the boy who you guessed was his son. "He was admiring that stunning dress of yours and I thought he might want to see it up close and personal."
For once you didn't mind being asked about your clothes as you crouched down to the little boy's height, he couldn't be more than 5 or 6.
"You have a good eye, would you like to feel the fabric? The designer I met with made it wonderfully soft." You smile, thinking of how Tigris had gushed over the blood-red fabric that would perfectly match Coriolanus' suit with you just weeks ago.
The boy reaches his hand out and brushes it along expensive fabric and a smile grows on his face.
"What's your name?" You ask
"Caesar." He says "I just turned 6 last week."
"Well, Caesar, six is a marvelous age to be, you can do all sorts of things at six. In fact, when I turned six I learned to ride a bicycle for the first time, I did however scrape my knees half a million times. I even still have a few scars on my knees would you like to see them?." You smile at him and he nods.
"Lucky Flickerman, I thought I told your producers that you weren't allowed to bother her with your idiotic questions the way the other reporters do. You clearly don't value your job, if you did you would have listened to my words." Coriolanus' voice suddenly fills your ears as you quickly right yourself, remembering how he once told you you'd have to start holding yourself with more decorum at these events. 'No more acting like a stupid teenager' had been his exact words one night when you were eating dinner together in your shared room.
"It's fine, his son wanted to say hello." You smile down at Caesar, take your lemon drink, and pop some of the food Coriolanus brought with him into your mouth. You sincerely hoped that you weren't about to witness Lucky being fired by the newest mastermind behind The Hunger Games and future the president.
From the corner of your eye, you see Coriolanus cast an intimidating look down at the boy and you resist the urge to elbow him in the ribs and force him to apologize to the poor child who was now cowering behind his father's stylish pant leg.
"I'll see you later, Lucky. We are going to go dancing now." Coriolanus says setting your barely sipped drink and food on a tray of a passing server before whisking you away.
"You're bad with children, Coryo." You say as he leads you towards the dance floor.
"And you're bad at reading people, darling." He says, ignoring the way you pouted at your loss of lemon drink and cheese-sprinkled food.
"What do you mean?" You ask, confused
"Lucky just wanted to get you to answer questions about me," Coriolanus says as he leads you in a dance, the both of you had gotten exceptionally better since your failure at 17 in your childhood bedroom.
"Oh." You say, a bit sad that he wasn't genuinely interested in you, just another dumb reporter who wanted news on Coriolanus' next move. It was amazing how Coriolanus always knew what others were thinking and how to approach a situation best.
"It's alright, just ignore him next time," Coriolanus says, gently squeezing your waist as a form of reassurance.
You nod and rest your head on his shoulder as you spin around the dance floor, suddenly wishing you were tangled up in bed with him rather than dancing in heels that were pinching your toes.
"Can I confess something to you?" Coriolanus whispers, his lips tickling your ear.
"Of course, always " You reply honestly
"I hate seeing you interacting with them." He says in a low voice.
"Them?" You ask
"These people. Seeing them ask you questions about your dress or hair, makes me want to toss them into the arena and watch one of Gaul's mutts rip them apart. I hate the way they look at you like you're a piece of meat attached to my side." He says, possessiveness lacing his tone.
"Oh...well I'm sure they don't all think that way." You try to reason, hoping that he wasn't right about this read on others.
"I doubt it. Look at that one by the fountain in the blue jacket." He says nodding to his right.
You glance over to the fountain and see an old man with a fluffy white beard and white hair to match. He seemed to be carefully watching you and Coriolanus spinning on the dancefloor but you weren't quite sure.
"I'm positive he's standing there imagining what it'd look like if this pretty dress was on the floor and you were on top of him," Coriolanus whispers, knowing it'll have you blushing in his arms.
"Coryo..." You say, trying to keep your composure as he presses his body to yours while you wonder if he's truly right and the old man across the pretty courtyard is truly ogling you.
"Too bad I'm the only one who will ever know what that looks like." He says a certain arrogance in his voice you can't quite place.
"Stop it." You scold, trying to hide the fact that your face is as red as your dress.
"Why? I can't wait to get back to our bedroom tonight and bring what's in my head to life." Coriolanus laughs, his voice was husky in your ears and making you weak in the knees.
"You're so embarrassing, Coryo." You say into his chest, avoiding that sharp gaze he had. How could someone act so well-composed but also have the dirty mind of a perverted teenage boy?
Coriolanus stops leading your dance and hooks a finger under your chin so you're looking up at him again. Sharp blue eyes that felt like they were staring into your soul looked at you, full of passion and want.
"My heart burns for you, darling, as it always has. You're mine, my perfect girl, all mine." He promises before swooping in to deliver what might qualify as the most monumental kiss in all of history.
A certain warmness spreads across your body as he kisses you in public for the first time. It's moments like this with your Coriolanus make your heart swell, these moments remind you that the little boy with the golden curls you met when you were just twelve lives on, just in a different way. You know the teenager you once ate cabbage soup and bread with sweet jam watches over you as you kiss his 23-year-old self, you know he's smiling at where the two of you are now. You're sure that the same boy who once spun you around your childhood bedroom to your favorite slow song is still here with you now, even if he rarely shows his face. Coriolanus Snow is always watching over you, every version of him envelopes you tonight as he shows the world who you are to him.
Your head spins and your lungs burn as you hear a few whoops and cheers from onlookers while others whisper about how Coriolanus' hands are wandering all over your body. You're sure the way he's kissing you is going to end up on some Capitol news reel tomorrow morning but you can't find the heart to care. Somewhere in his chest, you feel Coriolanus let out a deep groan when you run your hands through his hair ruining the way it was perfectly styled for the evening. You gasp when his teeth nip at your bottom lip and pull away, a gasp for air leaving your now surely swollen lips.
"All yours, Coryo." You assure him and lean in for another kiss.
You smile as he kisses back and couldn't care less about what the world around you thinks, you had your Coryo, the boy who you grew up with and ate cabbage together in his decrepit home, the same boy who danced with you despite his own lack of skill. You were with your Coriolanus, the man who was going to carry Panem into a new age of glory.
Part Three
Series Masterlist
Read the Teaser here
So I uh sorta ended up abandoning fluffy Coryo thoughts from part one and went with the reader's pov of him at 23, I hope that's okay with all of you. He still loves you though don't worry, it's just in his own Coryo way. His own magically manipulative Coryo way. I was initially going to make this part during the 10th Hunger Games but then I thought, wouldn't it be interesting to see how he interacts with reader post Lucy Gray considering how much she changes his ideals. To make things clear, every moment with Lucy Gray and Coryo has occurred and the reader is unaware of pretty much all of it here, obviously since she's so goo goo gah gah over him.
If you'd like more of my writings about Coryo and you, my fic Blank Space might be the read for you, it also has a part two that is available now You can read them both here. (Yes it's based on the Taylor Swift song)

Meadow's Lullaby
Tumblr media
Requests: Yes!
Pairing: Sejanus Plinth x fem!reader, onesided Coriolanus x reader, platonic Lucy Gray x reader
Warnings: none, this is a fluffy one....for now :)
Word count: 1.3K
The Valley Song Series: Part 1 <- -> Part 3
Author's Note: You guys are literally so amazing??? Thank you so much for showing your love for The Valley Song. I came up with this idea and direction so hopefully you all enjoy it. Thank you, lovies! Also once again, because I love Maiah Wynne, the music below is what the reader plays :)) Also this was just so much fun to write
You were a lot shyer than Lucy Gray. That was one of the first things that came to Coriolanus' mind as he watched Lucy Gray pull you over as the performance ended for the night. Maude Ivory had taken your old wooden guitar from you as the rest of the Covey put their instruments away and gathered all the donations from around the Hob.
Your shy and bashful nature had intrigued Coriolanus greatly, but it had with Sejanus as well. He could tell so as his...friend's face got more pink in his cheeks as you neared. A curiosity in his eyes as you neared.
"Y/N, It is finally time for you to meet my boy, Coriolanus Snow. And this is his fine friend, Sejanus," Lucy Gray had introduced them. Her boy, he thought to himself with great distaste. Coriolanus did not belong to anyone, and his little songbird counted. He was not one to be owned. He owned others.
"Y/N here is my older cousin. Just by a year though so it ain't nothing fancy." Lucy Gray said with a laugh, causing you to shyly roll your eyes at your cousin's words. It was clear this wasn't the first time this was brought up in any sort of conversation.
"A pleasure to meet you, Y/N" Coriolanus said with a charming smile and a nod as Lucy Gray let go of her cousin's hand and moved to step beside Coryo, her arm going around his waist.
You gave him a bit of a shy smile as you gave him a nod, "The pleasure is all mine, Coriolanus. I cannot thank you enough for bringing my cousin back to us. I owe you," you chuckled. And even your chuckle was like soft wind chimes; soft.
Sejanus could not help but look to you in some sort of admiration. Even by the look in your eyes, you were gentle kind, and compassionate. Even after all you had been through with losing your family, singing for your dinners, almost losing your cousin...you were still kind. Almost like him.
Your eyes moved to look at him and you could feel your face heating up. He was beautiful. Almost too beautiful, especially to be somewhere like here in District Twelve. You couldn't help but wonder what he had done to be sent there.
"Pleasure to meet you Sejanus.." You say after a moment of almost staring at each other, realizing the silence may have gone on for a little bit too long. In the corner of your eye, you see your cousin smirking at you, glancing up at Coryo as if she had planned this sort of meeting all along.
"Trust me....the pleasure is all mine. You were uh...you were amazing up there by the way," Sejanus said nervously, though the smile stayed on his face.
The bashful smile returned to your lips at his almost too-kind words. "Why thank you. I don't sing on my own very often so I'm pleased you enjoyed it,"
Lucy Gray grinned before remembering. "Oh! I almost forgot. The Covey, we're all making a trip out tomorrow. You both should join us!" she offered.
Coriolanus and Sejanus both shared a look. They both had nothing else to do. So after a moment of sharing a look, Coriolanus smiled slightly and nodded, "We'd love to,"
Lucy Gray almost squealed with excitement, "Oh perfect. You boys are going to love it. Coryo, come by our house by mornin', alright? We'll see you both tomorrow," she said with a grin, taking your hand and rushing back towards the rest of the covey.
You turned and gave them both one last wave and smile before being pulled backstage, leaving the two boys in almost awe: Sejanus being more obvious.
"I can't wait for tomorrow," Sejanus sighed.
When tomorrow finally came, the two boys made it to the small Covey home on the edge of the Seam. And by an hour after sunrise, you all started the hike up to the lake. You lingered behind talking with Barb Azure, listening to Maude Ivory singing and Lucy speaking with Coryo. Halfway through you lingered back, falling back in step with Sejanus.
After hours of hiking, you all made it to the lake and set your things down. The heat was seemingly unbearable, and many of the covey found their way to the lake, aching to cool off their skin with the cold water.
You decided to join them later. Moving to settle under one of the nearby trees, you fixed your old dress before pulling your guitar onto your lap. Your delicate fingers started to string along to the song that Lucy Gray would sing whenever anyone had any nightmares.
As you played you failed to see Sejanus, who was about to join the others in the water before spotting you on your own. He didn't think twice before he made his way over to you, taking a seat a little next to you.
You looked up in surprise, pausing the strumming of the delicate cords. "Sejanus. Sorry, I didn't hear you coming," you add with a smile, flattered and almost happy that out of everything, he wanted to come and sit with you.
"Well I saw you were on your own, figured you could use some company," he used as an excuse, feeling his face warm; though with the heat of the day, it was hard to tell the difference. "What were you playing? I sounded pretty," he then asked.
"Oh, it was just some music I wrote for one of Lucy Gray's songs. She calls it Deep in the Meadow. She usually sings it when Maude Ivory has a nightmare or trouble sleeping. I figured I could add some music to help," you explain, looking at him, flushing as you realize that he never once had taken his eyes off you.
And how beautiful his eyes were. You could see the kindness and admiration, they were captivating and warm. And it all caused a fluttering within your stomach.
"You wrote that all yourself?" He asked in amazement, and as you nodded he gave a small whistle, "That is incredible....could you play something else you wrote?" he asked hopefully before he quickly added in what seemed to be panic, "Of course, you don't have to if you don't want to, I just...your playing is beautiful.."
His words made you grow flustered, but you gave out a small laugh. Something about him allowed you to feel comfortable where you had never felt comfortable before. There were very few people outside the covey that you would do this with, Sejanus may have just been the quickest that you allowed.
"No...no, I don't mind," you quickly reassured him before playing another song you had written, leaving the capital boy silent as he admired the music you had created.
As you both were having your moment, playing him your music, neither of you was aware of the pale eyes that were watching from the water. Coriolanus felt his jaw clench at the sight of them, how Sejanus was able to chat you up about whatever it was.
What were you both talking about? He hated that he didn't know, that he wasn't in the loop, that he couldn't control whatever it was that came from Sejanus' mouth.
Lucy Gray gently climbing onto his back, wrapping her arms around him to keep afloat snapped him out of his thoughts.
"I think they'd make a mighty fine couple, wouldn't you say?" she asked, rather pleased with her match-making skills. Coriolanus on the other hand, wasn't as pleased. But regardless he nodded.
"Hm. She seems a fine match for Sejanus." A fine match was the nicest thing he could come up with as he stared at the few figures underneath the tree.
A fine match with Sejanus would be enough for you now, but he wondered how fine it would be when trouble would eventually find its way back around.

Tumblr media
you and some of the cast from tbosas were back in nyc, celebrating the wrap up of the film at a restaurant with one of the most gorgeous views ever. the city lights, buildings, people, and cars were all visible, and it truly was a sight for sore eyes. you wouldn’t stop babbling about how pretty it was to tom while you waited for the waiters to seat you guys. although he didn’t mind. he simply just nodded along with a smile as you spoke with passion in your eyes.
currently you sat next to your boyfriend, his hand resting lightly on your thigh as you conversed with rachel about how difficult it was to play the guitar. it was something you were always fascinated by but never quite understood.
you felt the warmth of tom’s hand disappear from its place on your thigh. glancing over at him, you saw him fumbling around with a napkin in his hand. you shrugged it off as nothing and continued your conversation with rachel.
“yeah! like it’s just so hard, and don’t even get me started about how much worse it is with nails..” you complained.
“speaking of nails, i need a manicure.” rachel noted, laying her hand out to look at her nails which were in perfect shape.
“oh, don’t remind me.” you chuckled and leaned your head on tom’s shoulder. wiggling your fingers around, you spoke again. "my ring fingers looking quite bare as well... don't you think, baby?"
rachel and josh laughed quietly when tom raised a brow at you, obviously confused as to what you were trying to get at. you shook your head, dismissing him with a laugh.
the waitress poured vodka cranberry into each of your glasses before rachel began to discuss what her dream wedding would be like. hunter piped in, giggling about how cute it'd be for her walk to down the aisle with her dog. you began teasing josh about when he was going to pop the question, earning a playful eye roll from him.
"i should be asking you that! well, tom. you guys have been dating for centuries." he retorted.
the brunette next to you looked up at the mention of his name. the corner of his mouth twitched up into a slight smirk. "actually, its been four years and 9 months."
"so almost half a decade?"
"don't tell me you've got the days and seconds," hunter teased, a grin on her face. you giggled to yourself quietly. knowing how your boyfriend was, he probably did.
tom pressed a kiss to your head and went back to messing around with his napkin as he and josh shot snarky jokes at each other. they settled down when the food arrived, placed in front of you on beautiful tableware. the borders of the plates were painted with golden patterns. the thought of stealing the plate and taking it home had even crossed your mind.
the cold liquid of your cranberry flavored beverage sliced your tongue when you felt a tug on your dress, followed by a familiar accent besides your ear.
“psst. sweetheart,” tom whispered. with a turn of the head, you looked down at his hands. in his hold was a paper napkin shaped into a ring. "will you do me the honor of becoming my... wife? fiance? wait which is it?" he glanced at josh, eliciting a soft laugh from you.
a breathy laugh came from his lips and he brought the ring closer to you. a sweet smile covered your face as you held your hand out. "I would love to be your wife-fiance."
tom slid the paper ring around your ring finger, bringing your hand up to his pink lips and kissing it gently. your friends squealed and clapped, someone groaned and told the two of you to 'get a room'. your lips met tom's for a second before whispering into his ear.
"its wife, by the way."
"stop. i knew that!" he rolled his eyes, nudging you away.
you giggled and wiggled your fingers around, putting your ring out on display for everyone to see. "oh yeahh, I'm an engaged woman now."
"only took four years and 9 months," nick joked from the other side of the table.
you brought the wine glass to your lips, taking another sip. "haters gonna hate."
rachel laughed. tom's hand was back on your thigh, his thumb rubbing against your soft skin. everyone was back to eating and light conversation was heard around the table. strands of brown hair tickled your neck and warm breath hit your ear. "how about we work on making you a pregnant engaged woman?"
you gasped, smacking his forearm. "tom!"
he chuckled against your ear before leaning back. “that wasn’t a no.”

Idk if you are taking requests currently, but if you are…
Could you write a similar fic to our little dove, where Coriolanus doesn’t kill Lucy. I would’ve loved to see more of them arguing over who gets to spend time with the reader, and all three of them spending time together.
Or maybe a different ending where Lucy takes reader to pick up katniss with her. And whilst Coriolanus is in the cabin lucy convinces reader to run away with her… but Coriolanus finds both of them and takes them to the Capitol with him.
OUR LITTLE DOVE,, ALT ENDING
Tumblr media
pairings: dark!lucy gray x fem!reader, dark!coriolanus snow x fem!reader, coriolanus snow x lucy gray
summary: you reunite with your dear songbird after the games, but it seems the capitol has followed her home, and taken an interest in the two of you. but it seems lucy gray is willing to share you with a certain peacekeeper, even if you aren’t.
a/n: here’s for all who wanted a different ending! the full fic is here ( our little dove )this is just a detour for everyone who wasn’t happy with the ending! DONT READ IF YOU HAVENT READ THE FULL FIC!!!
the trek back to town had you dying. it usually didn’t take so long but with coriolanus’s arm practically glued to you, the sun beating down on your trio and your dress sticking to you? fainting seemed very fun right now.
the entire routine was rushed, food stashed, no goodbyes to your family nor friends, just lucy and coriolanus wanting you on the train asap. they’d sprung their plan of going back to the captiol on you quite abruptly once you reached town but at this point you had no hope in your body of escaping them. so you obliged and followed like a lost puppy.
being in the capitol was worse.
you were completely and utterly alone. coriolanus was busy running the country, lucy was always working and you always seemed to be stuck on your windowsill. staring out onto the streets as the world passed you by. stuck in a prison of marble and luxury.
at first you had to endure lucy and coriolanus’s never ending arguing, always over you. when you still had an inkling of freedom. “are you kidding me? you chose what she wore yesterday lucy. will you just back the fuck off?” lucy’s jaw was dropped open, “excuse me? she was my-” coriolanus’s head tilted back as he dragged his hands over his face, “oh my god how many times are you going to use that? who the hell got her here huh? who provides for all of us? sure as hell not you. now don’t make this any harder. she’s wearing the red dress.” you sat there the whole time, just waiting for someone to notice you.
it always led back to you. but apparently kidnapping you and uprooting your life wasn’t enough since after time the duo fed off of eachother, delusions enlarging. seemingly everyone was out to get you, be with you, but you were theirs. coriolanus wasn’t president long enough yet to go around killing people without raising suspicion and alert towards him and as much as people did respect him, he couldn’t exactly go around killing everyone who looked at you and lucy even if he wished to. so he settled for the next best thing. keeping you away from them, out of reach.
and here you ended up, alone.
you had everything you’d ever dreamed of yet it all meant nothing. you were a shell of your old self and the two of them knew it. but all they cared was that you were with them. whisperings of the president having two lovers were imminent, lucy gray the victor, and the other. the unknown. and you weren’t sure if they’d ever know you. if anyone knew who you were, what you looked like let alone your name. even the staff of your prison did what was necessary, nothing more nor less. food, water, changed bedsheets and drawn baths was all the interaction you had with people that weren’t corio nor lucy.
you wanted to die, anything was better than living the same day over and over. the little flickers of hope came in the form of broken promises whispered during the dark nights, barely heard over the heaving breaths originating from yourself and the other two. promises of people, of the sun and temporary escape from here. but you’d learnt not to believe them.
“sweetheart, it’s not good for you to sit there all day. come, eat.” coriolanus asked demanded from the doorway of your library. the book at your feet long forgotten. coriolanus led you to the dining room where lucy was already eating. “there you are baby. somethin’ wrong?” lucy’s eyebrows were creasing as she took you in, empty eyes, emotionless face, slumped shoulders. you were nothing like the girl from twelve.
y/n l/n. sweetheart to almost everyone. a smile on her face as she went about her day. opening up to people and allowing others to lean on her. making sure her friends were okay when she noticed the slightest shift in feelings. always the lover. the carer.
but the girl who stood in front of her was so different and it broke her heart.
but she knew if she wanted to repair you she’d have to let you go. and as the three of you cuddled together in bed, your soft breaths lulling coriolanus and herself to sleep, she knew it was worth it, as long as you were here.
how selfish! she thought, but at the end of the day.
you’re our little dove.

When your eyes first laid upon Lucy Gray Baird, you were immediately enthralled by her presence. Everyone who had ever gotten the honor to meet her would say the same.
You had grown up in the very same district that her and her family, The Covey, were locked up in after being rounded up by the Peacekeepers. Most people around Twelve talked shit on them for being different, but the thing that drew you in the most to her was the fact that she didn’t give a shit.
She didn’t care what anyone thought, no one in her family did. They loved what they did, and that was singing. You saw this on full display at the Hob, where they performed every other night.
You already knew she was beautiful, but, God, when you saw her on that stage, beaming, you swore Aphrodite was standing before you. Her voice was just as beautiful as her, as she danced around stage, captivating the whole room.
At the end her performance, you snatched a daisy out of someone’s bouquet as you walked by, speed-walking to the corridor you were watching her walk into.
“Lucy Gray!” You called, the girl turning towards your call immediately, a smile still on her face. You held out the flower, a soft smile on your face. “You’re beautiful, as well as your singing.”
She blushed, her laugh coming out. “Why, thank you, darlin’.” She took the daisy, taking it up to her nose to smell. “What’s your name?”
“Y/N,” You beamed. “It’s a real pleasure to see you and your family around here. You really light it up ‘round here.” You complimented. “Twelve’s a normally dull place, but here.. it’s different.”
“Thank you, truly.” Her hand grabbed yours, squeezing. “I’ll see you around.”
And she kept her word, finding you after her next show to get to know you better.
And just like that, the pair of you were inseparable.
She introduced you to the Covey, and after they learned you had pipes, you were immediately brought into their group. You loved it, it felt as if you had found the people you’d been longing for your whole life.
But you found yourself staring at Lucy Gray for longer than normal, a dopey smile lazily draped across your sun kissed features. It wasn’t until some teasing from CeCe and Billy that you realized that you had feelings for the girl.
“Aye, Y/N, it seems like you got some drool right there…” CeCe teased, a playful smile on his face as they caught you staring at the girl for the 100th time.
Billy butted in from his side. “Yeah, you do. Someone’s fallin’ for the songbird,” He laughed. You rolled your eyes at them, before taking their words into consideration.
Holy fuck, you were falling for her.
I mean, how could you not? She was a beacon of light, her presence alone brighting up every room she walked into to, and she had treated you wonderfully, even going as far to include you with her family.
You were caught up in your love daze, not realizing the crushing realities that came with your feelings. But when you did, it left a sour taste in your mouth.
The butterflies swirling in your abdomen stopped in an instant, replaced with an oozing, grueling feeling of worry. Lucy Gray could find you repulsing— and the whole Covey would leave you as well.
It left you wishing you had a factory reset button to forget your feelings at once.
“Y/N, what’s with the frown?” Lucy Gray suddenly appeared in front of you, her signature smile on her cherry lips.
Your eyes snapped to hers, your nerves only growing. “Oh, nothin’. Just thinkin’.”
She sat down next to you. “Oh, really? Didn’t think you was capable.” She joked, making you lightly shove her with a smile.
Your breath caught in your throat when you realized how close you were to the girl. Her honey eyes stared up into yours, and you struggled to not look at her lips. All you wanted to do was close the space between the pair of you.
But you decided on that day that you would settle for this. After all— having her as a friend was better than nothing.
It wasn’t until the reaping of that year that you decided to throw caution to the wind.
It was the Covey’s first reaping, and it was for the annual 9th Hunger Games. Your nerves always got the best of you during this time of year, but it seemed that you weren’t the only one.
You sat in your room, Lucy Gray sitting at your desk in the corner. She said she was trying to write, but you could tell by the bouncing of her leg and her tense body that it wasn’t going well.
You licked your lips, putting your book aside. “You alright, Gray?”
She turned her head, her eyes meeting yours from over her shoulder. She sighed, turning back to the paper and rubbing her temple. “No,”
You stood up, coming to stand next to her, your hesitant hands rubbing her shoulders, the tense muscles deflating under your touch. “What’s wrong?”
“I.. I just really miss my mama.” She let out a sad breath. “And this reapin’ stuff is got my nerves wrecked.”
“I know the feelin’.” You bitterly chuckled. “You won’t get your name drawn, Lucy, none of you will. Your names are only in their once, your chances are slim. You should be okay. I miss my ma, too. I know it hurts.” You tried your best to calm her.
Her hand came up to grab yours that was resting on her shoulder, lacing your fingers together. “You know, you are about the only good thing in this District,” She smiled up at you, her worry lines faded.
At her words you felt those butterflies return, as your eyes flickered down to her lips, your teeth pulling in your bottom lip as you tried to talk yourself down.
Lucy Gray noticed this, however, and with a smile still plastered on her pretty face, she leaned up ever so slightly and captured your lips with her own. Your eyes widened in surprise, before they fluttered closed, your hands coming up to cup her face.
You let out a happy hum against her lips, the girl standing up to get a better grip on your hips, her lips never leaving yours. When you broke apart for air, a giggle left her slips at the sight of your lips stained with her lipstick.
“I’ve wanted you to do that for so long,” You admitted with a smile.
A smirk grew across her face. “I was waitin’ for you to grow the balls to do it first. Turns out you were too chicken.” She teased, her arms wrapping around your neck as she left small pecks on your lips.
You didn’t even pretend to be offended by her words, instead rolling your eyes playfully before kissing her again.
“Be my girlfriend,” She whispered against your lips. You pulled back slightly at her words, before jumping into her arms.
“Yes, yes.” You chuckled, as the girl hugged you back just as tightly.
That led you to now, where you smiled at the same brunette that was laid in your arms. She was different, anyone who had been what she went through would be, but she was also still your same Lucy Gray in all the best ways.
After you got her back from the games, you vowed to never let her go again. The turmoil you felt in the weeks that she was away from you, not knowing if you’d see her again or not— you never wanted to feel that again. And she felt the same way.
“You got a starin’ problem, girl?” Lucy Gray teased with that southern drawl you loved, seeing that you were lost in thought.
A warm smiled crossed your face at the sound of her voice, your hand going to play with her hair. “If it means I get to look at you, then yes, I do.”
She giggled, snuggling deeper into your arms. “Yeah, yeah, you sap.”
“You love it,”
She rolled her eyes, playfully. “I do,” She looked at you seriously now, leaning up to kiss you softly. You smiled against her lips, the feeling of her expressing her love for you in such an intimate way always making you smile.
You would proudly admit that you were head over heels in love with your girlfriend to anyone. But you knew you couldn’t— hell, the only people that even knew you were together was the Covey and her mentor, Coriolanus Snow. People didn’t seem expect, nor accept your type of love.
She had told him during her time there, during the nights they spent together talking through the cage bars. She talked his ear off about you, a love-sick smile on her face the whole time, the girl forgetting that some people weren’t accepting of your love.
But to her surprise, Coriolanus didn’t care if she was with a girl. In fact, he was thrilled, which confused her to no end. (She didn’t know this, but the only reason he was happy was because he now had something that would fuel her to win.)
You thanked every star above for the Snow boy for bringing your girl back to you, even if she was brought back with sharper edges. You didn’t care, you had her back in your arms. And you wanted to thank him.
But, Lucy Gray was a different girl than what she was when she left, even if she tried to pretend that wasn’t the case. She was more paranoid, more protective of the people she loved— especially you. More than you anticipated.
So the next morning when you set out to find the boy who was currently serving time as a Peacekeeper in your very district, the one goal in your mind was to thank him, the thought that this might be upsetting to your girlfriend not even crossing your temple.
You decided to bring him a rose— Lucy Gray mentioning to you that his Grandmother grew them, and you just happened to as well. It wasn’t like the pure ones his Grandmother grew in the Capitol, but you deemed it good enough.
You caught a glimpse of his platinum buzzcut, a smile growing over your ruby red lips. “Snow!” You called, jogging up to him in your cowboy boots. He turned at the call, his eyebrows furrowing when he saw it was you.
“Y/N?” He questioned.
“Hey, Coriolanus.” You smiled, holding out the rose for him. “Lucy Gray mentioned something about your Grandmother and roses, and just as a thanks for you bringin’ her back to me, I’d like to give you this,” You motioned to the rose.
To your delight, his hard face warped into that of a smile. “Thank you, Y/N. Truly.” His hand came out to squeeze your forearm affectionately. “I appreciate it, and you don’t have to thank me for that.”
“I do.” You assured him. “I don’t know what I would’ve done if I didn’t get her back. You saved her… so, truly, thank you, Coriolanus. I mean it.” You felt eyes on you, but you shook the feeling off.
He nodded sheepishly, not used to the type of compliment you were giving him. “Of course.. Thank you for the rose. Let me know if you need anything, I’ll see you around.” He smiled, giving your forearm one last squeeze before he turned.
“You’re welcome, Coryo.” You flashed him one last smile before you turned on your heel yourself. What you didn’t expect to see was to see those honey eyes you loved staring daggers at you.
You cocked your head to the side as she began to stomp her way towards you. Once she reached you, she grabbed your wrist with a hard grip, and without word dragged you back to your now shared home.
“Lucy, what’re you doing?” You asked, just as your neared the front lawn of your home.
She clicked her tongue, a sign she was mad, and shook her head, continuing to lead you to the house in silence. Once the pair of you got in, she threw her bag on your shared bed, crossing her arms.
“What the hell was that?” She asked, her tone hard.
“What are you talkin’ about, Lucy?” You asked, stepping closer to her. She only backed away, her head shaking once again, while you visibly shrank at her rejection.
“Don’t play dumb, Y/N. You know better,” She scoffed, rolling her eyes. “I been runnin’ around, lookin’ for you like some fool, while you were off with my mentor, lettin’ him touch you. Why were you with him, huh?” She pressed. “What, you think I’m stupid or somethin’?”
“Coriolanus?” Your eyebrows furrowed, still not quite catching on to what she was so angry about.
“Yes, damnit, him.” Her voice slightly raised as she walked up to you, her gaze lowered as she glared at you. “Why were you givin’ him a rose, huh? Why were his hands on you?”
You licked your lips as you took in her state. Her pupils were blown out, her jaw slack— God, she looked so hot when she was angry. You shook your head at your thoughts, trying to be serious.
“Aye!” Her fingers snapped in front of your face, angrily. “Answer me,”
“Lucy, I— I was goin’ to thank him..” You whispered, your voice dying in your throat as you submitted to her fiery gaze.
“Why?” Her voice was low and raspy, sending shivers down your spine.
“For bringin’ you back t’me.” You admitted, looking at the floor guiltily as it sunk in that how much you truly had upset her. “I never got the chance to properly thank him, and you said he liked roses. So I brought him one, I thought it would remind him of home. I didn’t mean anything by it, I swear,”
Her eyes softened. “Oh, baby, I’m sorry..” She whispered, one hand coming up to cup your jaw, rubbing softly. “I.. My mind went somewhere completely different when I saw him touchin’ you.. It just made me angry,”
A sly smirk came over your features. “I think you mean jealous, Lucy Gray.” You whispered teasingly.
“Only you could make me this crazy,” She smiled. “But, I am sorry.” She said, guilt swirling in her eyes.
“Hey, it’s alright.” You reassured her, seeing that she was beating herself up. “Even I get a little jealous seein’ Billy drape hisself on you when he’s shitfaced, it’s normal, baby, I ain’t mad.” Your goofy smile mixed with your southern accent making her smile come back.
But just as it returned, it was replaced with a serious look. “Just.. stay away from him, alright? I don’t fully trust ‘em.”
“I won’t go near him again, I promise. I just wanted him to know I was thankful for bringin’ my best girl back t’me,” You tried to cheer her up, your lips ghosting over hers.
“Good. ‘Cause your mine,” She smirked, closing the space between the two of you as her lips kissed you hard, her teeth nipping your bottom lip as you let out a gasp, granting her access to your mouth as she deepened the kiss.
You smiled against her lips, thanking the stars above that you had the pleasure of being hers.

Okay so as requested, a kissing/smutty lucy gray one. again not that long because my brain still has lot of fog due to the trauma but I'm getting there!!!!!
youtube
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucy Gray Baird traipsed through the dense forest, her woven basket brimming with plump berries. Sunlight filtered through the canopy, dappling the forest floor with patches of golden warmth. Her cousin Maud Ivory skipped ahead, her laughter echoing through the trees like a melody. Lucy Gray smiled, her heart light with the joy of their shared adventure.
As they emerged from the woods, Lucy Gray's steps quickened with the anticipation of returning home. She imagined the sweet aroma of freshly baked bread and the comforting warmth of their cozy cabin. But as they approached, a different kind of warmth enveloped her—a soft, melodic tune floating through the air.
Y/N, Lucy Gray's girlfriend, stood in the kitchen, a culinary maestro orchestrating a symphony of flavors. Her voice, like honeyed velvet, intertwined with the haunting melody of "Paradox" by VICTORIA, filling the room with an ethereal charm.
Lucy Gray paused at the threshold, mesmerized by the sight before her. Y/N danced between the stove and the countertop, lost in her culinary reverie, oblivious to Lucy Gray's arrival. With a playful twirl, Lucy Gray tiptoed into the kitchen, relishing the opportunity to surprise her beloved.
"Hey there, gorgeous," Lucy Gray whispered, her voice a gentle caress against Y/N's ear.
Y/N jumped, a startled gasp escaping her lips as she spun around to face Lucy Gray. A blush painted her cheeks as she realized she had been caught in her impromptu kitchen concert.
"Lucy Gray!" Y/N exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with delight. "You're back already?"
Lucy Gray grinned, setting her basket of berries on the kitchen table. "Just couldn't stay away from your enchanting serenade."
Y/N's laughter tinkled like wind chimes as she wrapped her arms around Lucy Gray, pulling her into a warm embrace. "Well, lucky for you, lunch is almost ready. You must be famished after your berry-picking adventure."
Lucy Gray leaned in, stealing a quick kiss from Y/N's lips. "Famished for more than just food, my dear."
Y/N chuckled, swatting Lucy Gray playfully on the arm. "Oh, stop it, you charmer. Go wash up, and I'll finish up here."
With a mischievous glint in her eye, Lucy Gray winked at Y/N before sauntering off to the washroom. As she washed her hands, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the simple joys of home and the love that filled their cabin with warmth.
Minutes later, Lucy Gray returned to find the table set with an array of delectable dishes prepared by Y/N. The savory aroma of roasted vegetables mingled with the tantalizing scent of freshly baked bread, making Lucy Gray's mouth water in anticipation.
"Wow, Y/N, everything looks amazing," Lucy Gray exclaimed, taking her seat at the table.
Y/N beamed with pride, pouring them each a glass of chilled lemonade. "I hope it tastes as good as it looks."
As Lucy Gray savored the last morsel of her meal, she glanced across the table at Y/N, her eyes brimming with curiosity. "So, how was your day, love? Anything exciting happen while I was out berry-picking?"
Y/N smiled, setting her fork down before launching into a lively retelling of her day. She described the comical mishaps in the kitchen, the playful banter with their neighbor Mrs. Jenkins, and the simple joys of creating something delicious from scratch. Lucy Gray listened intently, her heart swelling with affection for the woman sitting across from her.
But as Y/N spoke, Lucy Gray's attention wavered, her gaze fixating on a small stain that marred the front of her girlfriend's dress. A smudge of sauce, perhaps, or a stray crumb from their meal. Without thinking, Lucy Gray reached out to brush it away, her fingers lingering on the soft fabric of Y/N's dress.
Y/N's breath caught in her throat as Lucy Gray's touch sent a shiver down her spine. She watched, wide-eyed, as Lucy Gray's fingers traced the outline of the stain, her touch sending sparks of electricity dancing across her skin. And then, in a moment of boldness, Y/N found herself unable to resist the urge to lean in closer, her gaze fixed on the spot where Lucy Gray's fingers lingered.
Before either of them could fully comprehend what was happening, Lucy Gray's hand slipped, smudging the stain even further across Y/N's dress. Y/N gasped, her eyes widening in surprise, but before she could protest, Lucy Gray was already on her feet, shedding her dress with practiced ease.
"Oops, looks like I made it worse," Lucy Gray chuckled, draping her dress over the back of her chair. "Guess I'll just have to borrow something of yours."
Y/N's eyes trailed down Lucy Gray's figure, lingering on the tantalizing glimpse of skin revealed by her sudden disrobing. Heat rushed to her cheeks as she handed Lucy Gray a hoodie and a pair of pants, her fingers brushing against Lucy Gray's as she accepted them.
"Here you go," Y/N said, her voice barely above a whisper.
With a grateful smile, Lucy Gray slipped into Y/N's clothes, reveling in the warmth and familiarity of her girlfriend's scent. She felt a sense of belonging wash over her, as if she were wrapping herself in the comfort of their shared love.
As Y/N set to work washing the dishes, her voice once again filled the air with the haunting melody of "Paradox" by VICTORIA. Lucy Gray couldn't help but be drawn to her, the music of her voice pulling at the strings of her heart. Quietly, she approached from behind, her footsteps muffled by the sound of running water.
With a playful grin, Lucy Gray pressed a gentle kiss to Y/N's neck, savoring the warmth of her skin against her lips. Y/N gasped in surprise, dropping the dish she had been washing as she turned to face Lucy Gray, her eyes sparkling with desire.
"Lucy Gray," Y/N breathed, her voice barely audible over the rush of water.
As Lucy Gray pushes Y/n against the kitchen counter, she can feel her girlfriend's heart racing with anticipation. Lucy Gray's lips trail down Y/n's neck, leaving a trail of hot kisses and love bites. She whispers in Y/n's ear, telling her how much she wants her, how she can't stop thinking about her, and how she needs her right now.
Y/n responds with moans and gasps, her body aching for Lucy Gray's touch. As Lucy Gray undresses her, Y/n can feel her desire growing even more. She can't resist Lucy Gray's seductive gaze and lets her take control. As Lucy Gray kneels in front of her, Y/n pulls her closer, their bodies almost touching.
Lucy Gray's hands wander down Y/n's body, teasing and caressing her skin. Y/n's breathing becomes more erratic as Lucy Gray slowly eats her out, taking her time to savor every moment. Y/n can't help but arch her back and moan louder as Lucy Gray's tongue works its magic on her.
Feeling Y/n's body tense up, Lucy Gray knows she's close to the edge. She continues to tease and please her, making Y/n beg for more. Y/n grabs onto Lucy Gray's hair, pulling her closer and urging her on. The intensity of their passion grows as Y/n becomes rougher and more demanding.
In that moment, there is no one else in the world but them. The kitchen fades away as their bodies merge into one, their moans and cries of pleasure filling the air. Lucy Gray and Y/n lose themselves in each other, reaching the ultimate peak of ecstasy.
As they come down from their high, Lucy Gray pulls Y/n into a tight embrace, both of them breathing heavily and covered in sweat.
The crackling of the fireplace cast a warm glow across the cozy cabin as Lucy Gray and Y/N found themselves wrapped in each other's arms on the plush couch. Their bodies molded together in perfect harmony, their breaths mingling in the air as they basked in the afterglow of their passionate embrace.
Y/N traced lazy circles on Lucy Gray's chest, her touch sending shivers down her spine. With a tender smile, she leaned in, capturing Lucy Gray's lips in a fervent kiss. The world around them faded into oblivion as they lost themselves in the intoxicating taste of each other.
Lucy Gray's hands roamed freely over Y/N's back, pulling her closer with each passing moment. Their kisses grew deeper, more urgent, as if trying to convey all the love and longing that filled their hearts.
With a sudden burst of energy, Y/N shifted, straddling Lucy Gray's lap as she deepened their kiss. Their bodies pressed together in a delicious tangle of limbs, igniting a fire that burned hotter with each passing second.
Time seemed to stand still as they reveled in the sheer bliss of being together, their passion fueling the flames of desire that consumed them both. And in that fleeting moment, they knew that nothing in the world could ever compare to the depth of their love.
As they finally broke apart, their breaths ragged and hearts racing, Lucy Gray cupped Y/N's face in her hands, gazing into her eyes with unwavering adoration.
"I love you," Lucy Gray whispered, her voice filled with a fierce determination.
Y/N's eyes sparkled with tears of joy as she pressed her forehead against Lucy Gray's, their breaths mingling in the space between them.
"I love you too," Y/N whispered back, her voice trembling with emotion.
And as they lay there, entwined in each other's arms, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, their love guiding them through the darkest of nights and the brightest of days. For in each other, they had found their home, their sanctuary, their everything.
