~My Songbird~
~Chapter 3~
Lucy Gray woke up in a cold sweat, her chest heaving as she grasped at her heart. She sighed after a couple minutes of hyperventilating. She looked around at all the tributes around her, a frown worn on her face.
She moved her knees to her chest and hugged them, sadly looking down at the ground. Today was the day they had to show themselves off to earn donations. She knew it would be difficult to perform, she was too worried about Ana’s wellbeing after the explosion, and nervous for the horrendous games she will have to partake in tomorrow.
Tears formed in her eyes, as she tried to shake away her anxiety. ‘You better be okay’, she thought to herself, hoping Ana was doing alright.
Back at The Academy, Ana was recovering from her injuries. She was resting in the infirmary, staring down at her hands. Lucy had finished her song and she raked in thousands of donations, and she was proud of her, however she still felt uncomfortable. She didn’t want tomorrow to come, she didn’t want to watch the tributes kill one another, she didn’t want anything to happen to Lucy.
She let out a sad sigh, her eyebrows knitting together as Lucky Flickerman cracked another one of his lame jokes. She was angry, and she didn’t understand how everyone could be so unbothered. District or not, they were still people.
She closed her eyes, hoping that her worries will disappear along with the night.
The clock struck midnight, and Ana had made her way to the capitol zoo. She was surprised when Lucy Gray herself shot up and sprinted over to her, her eyes filled with tears. “You’re okay!”, she cried. “I was so worried.”
Ana gave her a sympathetic smile. “I’m okay”, she whispered, resting her forehead against Lucy’s. She used her handkerchief to wipe away the girl’s tears, which Lucy let her.
“I.. went to the ruins of the arena tonight. There is a huge hole in the ground. I want you to go and hide there the moment the games begin okay? it’s your best bet at avoiding the chaos that is bound to break out. And i also brought you this”, she handed Lucy a makeup kit containing rat poison. “please, use this if necessary. I want you to win, I don’t care about the reward. I want you to be okay.” Ana rushed out.
“I’ll try, I promise”, Lucy whispered against her forehead. Her eyes lingered down to Ana’s lips, before meeting her gaze again.
Hesitantly, both girls leaned in, soft lips meeting chapped. They stayed like this for half a minute before releasing with a small gasp.
Ana cupped Lucy’s cheeks, affectionately caressing her face. “I’ll wait for you, no matter what, no matter how long it takes. I promise.”. Their lips connected one last time, before Ana took her leave.
The very next day, Ana found herself back in uniform. She sat in her chair, uneasily staring at the screen. She wasn’t prepared for what she was about to witness. She knew she wouldn’t be. It didn’t matter the outcome, really. She’d be traumatized either way, and so would the victor.
She whispered to herself, ‘Run. Get to the pit’, as the count down began.
The game was filled with suspense and emotion. The audience connected with the tributes in different levels, as each of their true colors had been revealed throughout the games.
Coral, a ruthless leader who will stop at nothing to win. Mizzen, a follower, who wants to do all he can to win, and finds solace in his relationship with Coral. Like a big sister. Lamina, a severely underestimated girl who had a heart of gold. She earned thousands of donations when she performed a mercy kill, to end Marcus’s suffering. Marcus, who was the only one to escape after the bombings. Marcus, who was then caught and beaten and left for dead. And Reaper, the one who gathered everyone’s bodies and covered them with The Academy flag. The one who gave them a civil burial.
Many lives had been taken in the span of just over twentyfour hours. Ana found it particularly hard to watch the deaths of Lamina and Dill. Lamina, who was killed with a nuclear level of brutality after she had done so much to protect herself. Dill who accidentally drank the poisoned water that Lucy had intended for Coral to drink.
Lucy’s heart broke when the girl took a sip of the water, unable to do anything about it. All she could do was watch with a stifled sob as Reaper screamed at the sight of the poor girl’s lifeless body.
Each and every tribute had their own personal story, a story that drew everyone in.
Then there was Lucy. The one who could put on a performance at any given moment. The one who gained the hearts of the majority of the capitol. Ana wasn’t the only one rooting for her to win.
To everyone’s surprise except for Ana’s, an air craft began to hover over the arena. She knew the contains of the capsule that was being lowered into the building. She was thankful she was able to sneak the handkerchief in before it was too late.
Her eyes widened at the sight of the little girl from district 8. Wovey. “Is it over?” She cried. “Can we go home now?”
Lucy Gray immediately got an uneasy feeling as the girl approached the container. “Wovey! No!”, she screamed in vain. The container shattered, revealing all the aggressive snakes that had been locked inside the whole time. They made their way throughout the arena, claiming the lives of all the remaining tributes.
Reaper closed his eyes, letting them take him. He wanted to die along side Dill, and the innocent children around him.
Coral, with her eyes widened in horror, discarded her trident. She pleaded with Lucy to help her, to save her.
“I can’t of killed them all for nothing”, she cried.
Lucy looked at her helplessly. She knew that even if she took her hand, she’d still die. She watched with tears in her eyes as Coral took her last breath.
Her breath hitched as all the snakes wrapped around her body, head tilting as she realized they weren’t attacking.
She looked down at Coral with a broken heart before she began to sing, her voice shaking.
You’ve headed for heaven
The sweet old hereafter
And I’ve got one foot in the door
But before I can fly up
I’ve loose ends to tie up
Right here, in the old therebefore
I’ll be along
Ana glared at the game maker. “Dr. Gaul! She won!” She yelled. “Let her out!”
Lucy continued to sing, glaring at the camera with red, teary eyes.
When i’ve finished my song
When i’ve shut down the band
Ana started to scream at her. “It’s over now! Let her out!” She continued to plead.
Fetus tilted his head in confusion. “What the hell? Why aren’t they attacking her?”
Ana played dumb. “It must be her singing! It’s calming them. She won! Stop keeping her inside!”
When I played out my hand
Paid all my debts
Have no regrets
Right here in the old
Therebefore
“Come on! Let her out!” A stranger yelled, starting a riot. Everyone stood out of their seats, demanding for Lucy Gray to be released.
Lucy Gray’s voice began to get stronger, as she stood up with her unsteady legs.
I’ll catch you up
When I’ve emptied my cup
When I’ve worn out my friends
When I’ve burnt out both ends
When I’ve cried all my tears
When I’ve conquered my fears
Right here, in the old therebefore
When nothing is left anymore
I’ll bring the news
When I’ve danced off my shoes
When my body’s closed down
When my boats run aground
When I’ve tallied the score
When I’m flat on the floor
Right here, in the old therebefore
When nothing is left anymore
When I’m pure like a dove
When I’ve learned how to love
Right here, in the old therebefore
When nothing is left
Anymore.
Ana glared at Dr. Gaul with the hate of a thousand suns. The woman swallowed her pride before turning to the peacekeepers. “Let her out”.
The room broke into cheers as Ana was surrounded by her peers. She cried in relief, and was greeted by Tigris. “You did it!”, she yelled. They embraced, tightly, as Ana let out happy sobs into her neck.
Ana was then escorted to a private sector of the building, being greeted by Casca Highbottom himself.
“Well well well, I didn’t think you had it in you”, he teased. Ana knew instantly that she was caught.
“You know, I recognized the little makeup kit your mother used to add some color to her face. And the handkerchief betrayed you with your very initials.”
Ana swallowed uncomfortably. “What’s going to happen to Lucy”. Casca looked at her, his expression softening slightly.
“She’s been sent home. You however won’t get that luxury today. You’ll be sent to a random district, and begin training as a peacekeeper. Only then will you be welcomed back to the capitol.”
Ana pondered for a moment. She realized that this was her chance to reunite with Lucy. She tried to pretend that this punishment affected her negatively, though she wasn’t very good at hiding it as a slight smile broke through her faux frown.
‘I’ll find you, my songbird’, she thought to herself.
A/N:Yeah so I actually had written out the whole duration of the games and explained every scene in detail, talking about every death and Lucy’s experience…. Then I accidentally deleted it all🥰 Anyways I cried for like half an hour after that then half-assed it when i redid it. So if it looks rushed out that is why. I hope it was okay though

~My Songbird~
~Chapter 2~
Ana paced around nervously, reality hitting her all at once as she found herself standing outside the entrance of the arena. She was waiting for the tributes to arrive, hoping to get a good word in with Lucy before tomorrow.
Her eyes slightly lit up at the site of Lucy Gray, who worse a perplexed expression on her face as she took in the sight of the building, her anxiety building up as the games snuck closer and closer with each second.
Her gaze fell on her mentor, who she shot a kind smile towards. Hesitantly, she made her way over to her, rolling her eyes as two peacekeepers followed, keeping a very close distance to her. “Hi.” She greeted, holding her hands behind her back.
“Hey there, Songbird”, Ana replied, earning a nervous smile in response. Lucy was very much aware of the pink that was currently spread across her face. “Songbird?”, she giggled, her nerves slightly calmed by her friendly, positive words. The conversation feeling normal, almost.
“Yeah. You know, cause you have an amazing voice! Plus that show you put on at the reaping? Very impressive. I found it to be very beautiful and emotional, I hope you know that.”
The blush on Lucy’s cheeks only grew deeper at that, as she lightly pushed her hair behind her ear. “Well thank you hon!” She looked around her before lightly taking her hands in her own. “You’re… different than I expected.”, she explained.
Ana smiled in return, “How do you mean?”, she asked with a tilt of her head. Lucy looked down at her own feet, sucking in a breath.
“Well, it’s just that. You’re apart of the capitol and the people here aren’t the most fond of us.. districts”, Ana remained focused, listening intently.
Lucy continued. “I just expected you to be… well”, she awkwardly scratched her head. “A bitch?” Ana asked with a slight snicker.
Her tribute let out a nervous laugh. “I guess so.. not that I assume all people here are ass holes but.. I definitely didn’t expect you to be so kind.” Ana smiled at her confession. “I just… thank you. I really appreciate your kind, genuine words. You’ve just met me and I already feel so safe with you”, she explained.
She let out a surprised gasp as Ana wrapped her arms around her, before relaxing in her embrace. She tightly wrapped her arms around her back, holding on as if her life depended on it.
“I’m so scared to let go… I don’t want tomorrow to even happen. I’m scared if I do.. This will be the last I’ll ever get to be with you”, she rushed out.
Ana released with a sad smile. “Darling, I promise to do everything in my power to keep you safe. I-”, she was rudely cut off by peacekeepers yelling at them to enter the arena.
Ana sighed before taking Lucy’s hand in her own, guiding her to the inside of the building.
Everyone was given fifteen minutes to strategize, as they all mapped out the arena.
Ana jumped when Coral yelled out at one of the tributes, telling the “lumberjack” to come over. She witnessed him call over his other tribute, Lamina, before being cut off. She felt a surge of sadness and sympathy when Coral said she only wanted him to come over. She looked over at the girl who stood there in a bubble of misery and betrayal. She was about to come over to her when..
BOOM
Screams filled the room as the ceiling collapsed in on itself. Bombs were being set off all over. “Lucy!”, Ana screamed. She ran over to her, covering the cowering girl with her own body. She covered her ears and instructed her to do the same. She made sure to protect her songbird, willing to spare her own life to keep her safe.
Lucy buried her head in the girls arms, whimpering in fear as the loud explosions shook the whole building.
Shots were fired as a few tributes tried to escape, but Ana didn’t pay attention. She kept her arms around the girl, staying there for as long as she would be allowed.
~Time Skip~
Ana woke up in a hospital bed, gasping in fear. It was as if she had just woken up from a nightmare.
“Oh! Ana!”, Tigris, her cousin cooed, crushing her in a hug. Ana closed her eyes, burying her head in her neck. “I’m so glad you’re okay, I was so worried!”. Tigris sat down beside her bed, placing her hand in Ana’s.
Ana smiled at her cousin before her eyes widened. “Wait. Lucy?! Where is she?”, she rushed out, panicked about her well being.
“She’s okay! She is safe”, her cousin reassured. Ana let out a sigh in relief, laying her head back down.
Their attention was turned to the television as Lucky Flickerman mentioned Lucy’s name. She watched in adoration as she heard the girls voice, and listened in awe as she began to sing.
The lyrics of ‘Pure as The Driven Snow’ were mesmerizing, beautiful, real, and tragic all at the same time. Her eyes swelled with tears, and stifled cries could be heard around the room.
“She’s so amazing”, Tigris stated, tears falling down her face. She looked back at her cousin. “I see that you two have a very good connection”, she smiled.
Ana looked down at her hands, blushing. “You thinks so?” She asked, her voice laced with hope.
“Oh I know so. And look! Her donations are so high! I think she’s got a good chance!”
“I hope so, I really do. Fuck the reward I just want her to be okay.” Ana shuddered, laying down as she tried to tune out her worries.

~My Songbird~
Fem Oc x Lucy Gray
ReneĂŠ Rapp as OC.
Summary: Ana, a respected student and member of the capital finds her morals challenged when she becomes the mentor of the first tribute known as Lucy Gray.
Warnings: Swearing, violence, character loss, eventual smut in later chapters.
~Chapter 1~
In a dystopian world ravaged by war and poverty, 18-year-old Lucy Gray struggles to survive in District 12, the poorest and most marginalized district in the nation of Panem. After being reaped as a tribute for the 10th annual Hunger Games, Lucy found herself in the spotlight.
Back at the capitol, everyone was preparing for the games, some to getting ready to watch, some getting ready to teach. Among them is Ana, a fierce and ambitious student from the capitol, who is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray, a cunning and independent girl from District 12.
“District 12: Female. Lucy Gray”, the announcer called. A young woman with long locks of brunette hair and a colorful gown made her way up to the stage, sporting a detailed floral corset. “She looks like a clown”, Arachne, your topical cliche rich mean girl laughed. Everyone gasped in surprise once she placed a snake in the dress of the mayors daughter before she was escorted forcefully to the stage.
She took a good look around at her surroundings before she began to sing. “Is she really singing right now?”, Arachne snickered as she saw Lucy Gray perform on the reaping stage. Ana rolled her eyes at this before returning her focus to the screen. She lightly smiled, finding the girl to be intriguing. Her voice was smooth like honey, and she had found her dress to be pretty. It was unique, it was colorful, it was very… Lucy Gray.
~Time Skip~
The time has come for the tributes to make their way to the capitol. Ana waited with a white rose in hand, sucking in a nervous breath as the train made an abrupt stop in front of her.
She flushed when the stunning tribute poked her head out of the caboose. Lucy Gray looked down, and to her surprise was met with her mentor. Ana held out a hand to help her out of the train, offering her a kind smile. Hesitantly, Lucy grabbed her hand and let her help her down.
“Hello, my name is Ana. I am going to be your mentor.”, the girl introduced herself. “I’m sorry that you were just thrown into this with no choice, but I just want you to know that I will do all I can to ensure you are brought home safely”, she explained, offering her the rose.
Lucy tilted her head. She didn’t expect to meet a member of the capitol who treated her like a human. However, she still was skeptical. She took the rose and thanked her, offering a small smile.
The small moment of silence was interrupted as a group of peacekeepers began to forcefully group all the tributes together, forcing them into a metal carriage to be transported to the capitol zoo.
Ana made sure the peacekeepers weren’t looking before she sprinted towards the carriage, jumping inside just before the doors closed.
“You lost pretty girl?”, a tall man by the name of Reaper teased, causing Ana to flinch uncomfortably. “Nope. I love it here, this is a very nice carriage”, she hummed. “Well, I think you’ve got the wrong one.”, a girl with short red hair threatened. Coral was her name, her mere presence gave Ana an uneasy feeling.
“Let’s kill her!”, one of the tributes yelled, a group of them backing her into a corner. “No!-” Lucy began before everyone let out a scream as the carriage started to shake. Distressed noises could be heard as the doors opened, causing everyone to fall out.
Ana groaned as she got up, eyes widening in horror as she saw they were enclosed in a large cage. “The capitol zoo? What the fuck..”, she mumbled. She turned her head towards the sound of a frustrated huff, her eyes met with Lucy Gray’s. The district 12 girl awkwardly looked up at her, cheeks flushing as Ana reached down with her hand to help her up.
“Thank you”, she rushed out, brushing off her dress. Their heads shot in the direction of a loud voice.
“Hello all and welcome to the 10th annual Hunger Games! I’m your host, Lucky Flickerman and- wait a minute”, he squinted in the direction of Ana. “You’re wearing the academy colors. What are you doing in there?” He asked.
Hesitantly, Ana made her way towards the fence, gasping onto the cold metal bars. “Well, I wanted to make a good impression. Had to show my dear tribute that she wasn’t alone in this. Besides, I’m all for an adventure”, she grinned, placing her hands on her hips.
“Ah, impressive! And what, may I ask, is your name?” Lucky asked.
“The names Ana, Ana Barlowe, and this here is the talented Lucy Gray”, she took her hand and brought her forward.
“Lucy Gray! Tell me about yourself”, Lucky said. Lucy took a quick look around before starting.
“Well as you know my name is Lucy Gray, and I guess you can say I’m from all over. My family, The Covey, travels around the world to perform. That is until we were forced into staying in district 12 and majority of us were killed off”, she stated.
Lucky awkwardly smiled at the camera. “So you’re from district 12 then?” he asked.
Lucy offered a fake smile before responding. “I guess you could say that.”
The conversation was then interrupted when a group of peacekeepers stormed the zoo, forcefully dragging Ana out of the enclosure.
Lucy tried to protest, her pleas being ignored. Before they could completely separate Ana from the enclosure, she took Lucy’s hand in her own, quickly whispering, “I’ll come find you, don’t worry.”
Lucy helplessly watched as they escorted Ana away from the zoo. Ana gave her a sympathetic look before turning around.
~Time Skip~
Ana made her way to the capitol zoo, having snuck past the peacekeepers as the clock struck midnight.
She ran towards the fence, calling out for Lucy in a hushed tone. A smile appeared onto her face as the girl emerged from her original position.
Lucy made her way to the girl, wrapping her fingers around the metal bars. “Hello”, she greeted, a light blush coloring her face.
“I brought you something”, Ana whispered, handing her a small wrapped package containing 10 sandwiches, and a small loaf of bread. There was also a large flask of water, she could share these items with her fellow tributes.
“Eat up, love, you’ve got a big day ahead of yourself.” Lucy’s heart fluttered at the name she was called. Ana bent down to her knees, sitting on the other side as Lucy sat to cross her legs.
“Thank you so much”, she smiled, taking a bite out of the sandwich. She almost moaned at the taste, as she hadn’t eaten in days.
Ana grinned at her. shit. She thought to herself. She was growing attached to the girl infront of her, and she didn’t want anything bad to happen to her. These games were dangerous, and she couldn’t bare with herself if anything happened to her.
She hesitantly reached her hand through the bars, affectionately brushing a few stray strands of dark hair out of Lucy’s face. Lucy blushed at this, smiling widely as she let herself rest against the bars, giving her the best embrace she could.
“I’ll do everything I can to make sure you win, whatever it takes. I don’t want anything to happen to you”, Ana sighed. Their fingers interlocked, a tender silence forming between them.
“I’ll be here tomorrow at the same time after our tour of the arena, I’ve got to go now. Please eat”, she uttered. Lucy locked eyes with her, brown meeting blue.
Both girls sucked in a breath, an uneasy tension building as the games got closer by each passing second.
“Goodbye.. and thank you”, she whispered, earning a nod in response.
She watched from afar as Ana quietly ran off, making sure not to alert anyone.
Till tomorrow.., Lucy thought to herself, her heart racing.
Ana

one more part for the people in the back please! (i’m people and i’m on my knees begging😭🧎‍♀️)
How could you PT 4
The train's arrival at District 12 stirred the town, and a crowd gathered to welcome back their victor. As Y/N stepped onto the platform, the jubilant cheers fell into a hushed murmur. The toll of the Games etched into her every fiber, the weariness of her spirit evident in the haunted gaze that met the expectant eyes of her community.
Amidst the sea of familiar faces, Y/N's heart surged at the sight of Lucy Gray. Her beloved, once a beacon of joy and vitality, stood there, but the glow that once radiated from her had dimmed, eclipsed by a haunting pallor and hollowed eyes. The air around Lucy carried the scent of beer, a stark contrast to the memories of warmth and laughter they once shared.
A flicker of hope ignited within Y/N as their eyes locked, but as Lucy tentatively approached, the cracks in her facade became painfully clear. A small smile formed on Lucy's lips, but it faltered, collapsing into a mask of anguish and resentment.
Before Y/N could speak, Lucy's voice sliced through the charged atmosphere with a venomous intensity. "I hate you! You selfish..." Her words were a searing lash, cutting through the air with an accusatory venom that startled the surrounding crowd.
Tears streamed down Lucy's face, the once tender gaze now a storm of fury and hurt. Her trembling hands struck out, slapping against Y/N's chest and arms, each blow a painful echo of the anguish within her.
"I thought you were dead! I thought you abandoned me!" Lucy's cries were guttural, each syllable laden with a rawness that tore at Y/N's heart. The weight of Lucy's fury crashed down on Y/N, the blows landing heavy, but she bore it with a head bowed in remorse.
Amidst the chaos of emotions, Y/N's voice, barely above a whisper, tried to reach Lucy. "Baby, I'm here, I'm so sorry," she pleaded, her voice a fragile thread of regret amidst Lucy's tumultuous storm.
But Lucy's rage knew no bounds as she pushed Y/N away with a final surge of anger, her sobs echoing through the crowd. The once vibrant and loving spirit stood there, shattered and consumed by a tempest of emotions that threatened to engulf them both. And Y/N, weighed down by guilt and sorrow, could only hang her head in silent acceptance of Lucy's justified rage.
The aftermath of that tumultuous reunion left an unsettling heaviness in the air, a palpable tension that lingered like a storm waiting to unleash its fury. As the crowd dispersed under the Covey's direction, leaving Y/N and Lucy Gray enveloped in a tempest of emotions, Maud Ivory guided Lucy back to their shared home.
Meanwhile, Tamp Amber approached Y/N with a weighty sadness in his eyes, his voice a whisper amidst the turmoil. "Lucy Gray... she just... she broke when you left," he murmured, the words heavy with the weight of unspoken despair. "We all did. We thought you were going to die, and well, she didn't take your absence well."
His somber tone carried the burden of the havoc wreaked upon Lucy Gray's spirit. "She stopped eating, didn't sleep, snapped at anyone who dared approach her. The music, her essence, it vanished. Drinking became her solace," he confessed, the sorrow etched on his face a testament to the shattered remnants of their once vibrant community.
"We tried to steady her, but... look, you mean the world to her," Tamp Amber continued, a plea veiled in his words. "We appreciate you volunteering for her, but she's furious. You both need to talk. You both need it."
In the dimly lit cabin, Y/N found herself enveloped in a sobering silence, amidst the tangible echoes of Lucy's anguish resonating from her closed bedroom door. Maude Ivory stood nearby, a pillar of support amidst the swirling maelstrom of emotions.
"I'm sorry," Y/N murmured, her voice weighed down by the gravity of the situation. "I was just trying to protect her, to keep her safe."
Maude Ivory's gaze softened with empathy, her voice a gentle reassurance in the midst of the storm. "We understand, but she needs to hear it from you," she urged, a subtle nod guiding Y/N toward Lucy's sequestered room.
As Y/N approached, the bedroom door a silent barrier between them, the muffled sounds of Lucy's sobs reverberated through the solemn atmosphere. She stood on the precipice of confrontation, her heart heavy with remorse, the need for reconciliation throbbing in her chest like a relentless drumbeat.
In the shadowed confines of the cabin, amidst tears and turmoil, Y/N's heart clenched with the weight of the past week's horrors, and yet, the desperation to mend what was broken outweighed the guilt that gnawed at her soul. She steeled herself for the emotional reckoning that awaited, a yearning to heal the fractured bond with Lucy Gray, the woman she loved beyond the reach of reason.
The air in the room hung heavy, pregnant with the weight of unspoken pain and fractured emotions. Y/N's heart ached at the sight of Lucy, her broken form nestled on their shared side of the bed, a stark reminder of the chasm that had grown between them in the wake of the Games.
Approaching cautiously, Y/N tried to bridge the chasm between them, but Lucy's abrupt movement spoke volumes. She recoiled, retreating to the other side of the room, a physical manifestation of her emotional turmoil.
As Y/N perched on the edge of the bed, a wellspring of remorse and yearning pooled within her. The sight of Lucy, lying on her side of the bed throughout the week, sent shards of guilt slicing through Y/N's soul. She longed to reach out, to mend what was shattered, but the words Lucy uttered cut through the heavy silence like a blade.
"You just left me, you know," Lucy's voice quivered with a rawness that pierced through the room. "You just left, and I couldn't even say goodbye. I was so fucking scared, Y/N."
Lucy's anguish seeped into the air, her sobs painting a vivid picture of the torment she endured in Y/N's absence. The weight of guilt crushed Y/N's chest, but before she could respond, Lucy's voice grew harsher, a torrent of anger and pain unleashed.
"You're a fucking bastard! How could you! You..." Lucy's voice rose in a crescendo of fury, but before she could finish, Y/N snapped, the frustration and torment boiling over.
"You think it was fun? You think I enjoyed the Games?" Y/N's voice thundered, each word laced with a passionate fervor. "I had to kill, to watch friends die, just because I wanted to come back to you! But at the reaping, it was either you or me in that arena! And to be fucking fair, I would do it all over again!"
The room fell silent, the echoes of their heated exchange reverberating through the stillness. Tears stung Y/N's eyes, a testament to the tumult of emotions roiling within her. Lucy, too, stood there, the rage in her eyes replaced by a haunted gaze, the air thick with the weight of their impassioned confrontation.
Amidst the raw emotions that lingered in the charged atmosphere, the gap between Y/N and Lucy felt as vast as the distance between stars. Their love, once a beacon of warmth, now eclipsed by the aftermath of trauma and the irreparable scars etched into their souls.
In the aftermath of their heated exchange, the air hung thick with the residue of their raw emotions. Y/N, consumed by guilt and aching with the weight of the Games, felt the haunting specter of remorse clawing at her very core. Lucy, her rage momentarily softened by the searing vulnerability in Y/N's eyes, tentatively bridged the divide between them.
As Y/N's resolve crumbled, tears streamed down her cheeks, a torrent of guilt and horror cascading forth. "I missed you so much, Lucy," she cried, her voice choked with anguish. "Every moment in that arena, every breath I took was haunted by the absence of your laughter, your warmth."
Lucy, her own eyes glistening with unshed tears, softened at the sight of Y/N's shattered facade. Slowly, tentatively, she drew closer, the ache in her heart eclipsing the remnants of anger. With a tenderness that belied the storm within her, Lucy enveloped Y/N in a tight embrace, the weight of their shared pain palpable in the air.
Y/N, consumed by the overwhelming grief and guilt, poured her heart out, her words a heartbreaking symphony of longing and remorse. "I never wanted to leave you, Lucy," she sobbed, her voice trembling. "I thought of you every moment, prayed for your safety with every breath I took."
The floodgates of emotion burst open, Y/N's sobs mingling with desperate pleas for forgiveness, for understanding. Lucy, her heart aching at the sight of Y/N's anguish, held her tighter, offering a solace amidst the torrent of sorrow.
As Y/N's cries echoed in the room, her voice a fragile echo of her shattered spirit, Lucy's walls crumbled. She held Y/N close, their hearts beating in sync with the symphony of their shared pain. "I'm here, Y/N," Lucy whispered, her voice a balm to the wounds etched into Y/N's soul. "I'm here, I've missed you too."
In the embrace of their shared vulnerability, Y/N's cries echoed through the cabin, a cacophony of heartbreak and longing. Lucy held her, a beacon of solace amidst the darkness, their shared anguish mingling in the tender embrace of two shattered souls finding solace in each other's arms.
