(( I FINALLY WATCHED ATSV AAAGHHHH IT WAS SO GOOD !!! not gonna say anything because if i ramble it will 100% go into spoiler territory but it was probably the best movie i've ever seen no exaggeration. anyway, here's a small miguel one shot? drabble? spoiler-free :3 ))

You and Miguel led nearly entirely different lives.

He was constantly out and about. Putting his body, his mind through strenuous lengths for the sake of the people. For the sake of everyone. He sacrifices a piece of himself, bit by bit. Everyday. Just for everybody else's peace.

Your job almost felt a little silly next to his. After all, you were quite sure that being Spider-Man didn't offer a week of paid vacation. Which you were extremely grateful to have, by the way.

In all honesty, you felt the smallest piece of pity for him. You were able to catch up on your hobbies, enjoy shows that were put on your list for so long, and get more than 5 hours of sleep.

You knew that Miguel was barely getting a shred of that. How did you know? Even in two in the morning, while you were resting on the couch and catching up on yet another show, you hadn't heard him come in through the window that you normally keep open for him.

Worry seeps it's way into your brain as you try to focus on the pixels in front of you. Of course, you were scared for him. Everyday that he went out, the unexpected could happen and well... You didn't want to think too deep into it.

At least, your mind was distracted when you were working but now you were relaxing, the thoughts that you tried bury deep down under to the crevices of your mind were all coming back again.

It only concerned you more when throughout the week so far, you'd seen him less and less. On occasion, in the middle of the night, the click of a lock would alert you awake but before you could sit up and investigate, strong arms locked around your waist and a head pressed into your shoulder.

You sighed, reaching for the remote and pausing your show.

The worries, the yearning. It all gave you a swirling, growing feeling in your gut that you hadn't really familiarized yourself with. You weren't sure if you liked it, you weren't sure if you hated it. Though the way that it pierced into you like a newly sharpened spear just confused you even further.

Trying to focus on another feeling growing inside of you. Hunger and satisfying it, you hoped it would get all of this off of your mind as you lazily walk into the kitchen.

A reoccurring theme whenever you wanted a snack was once you actually made your way to the pantry, decisions were a foreign concept and your cravings were like trying to read binary code.

Instant ramen? Cookies? Chips? Ice cream?

Felt even worse this time when you hadn't particularly been exercising your brain recently, a mental note to yourself to be just a little bit on edge when you get a break like this.

You opt on giving up entirely, you slam the cabinet door, and turn around to get back to the couch until—

There's a weight against your back and waist, keeping you against the counter.

As you look down, you see the familiar shades of red and blue. Sighing, you look to a little over your shoulder and take a little peek. To see closed eyes signalled by Miguel's mask. The marks trembling shut, you feel his grip on you get tighter.

In a volume as close to a whisper, you break the silence, "Miguel? You okay?" Like you expected, he takes off his mask. Eyes screwed shut, brows furrowing as you can see the stress lines and deep circles under them.

He sighs but not out of being content, thumb tracing small shapes into your stomach. "Been so lonely, mi cielo."

Your heart clenches as that. That was right, you understood what kind of lover that he could be. Needy, clingy, these qualities festering even more each moment he spends away from you. You noticed how much he was holding back right now.

He normally liked to fix himself up before getting all comfortable and relaxed with you. Showering, brushing his curls, general self-care but the moment he came inside his first instinct was to go to you.

Those thoughts from a while ago that were nearly going to absorb you came back. To think the cold that Miguel had to endure out there from how tightly he wanted to absorb your warmth.

"I missed you so much. Me sentí tan solo, don't wanna let go."

You were going to respond but your mind practically short-circuited when he started pressing soft kisses along your neck and shoulder. You let him indulge himself, just a little while.

Of course, his job terrified you sometimes but seeing him like this. Seeing him let his guard down, talking about how much he missed you, calling you his darling.

Perhaps Spider-Men had their own charm but Miguel's just got you wrapped around his finger like nobody else could.

For a brief moment, he nibbles on the flesh at the back of your neck. Pressing one last kiss, "Will get fixed up, then voy a demostrarte cuánto te extrañé después de todo este tiempo."

Shamefully, you didn't pick up learning Spanish yet from how much Miguel speaks it to you. Yet through context clues and bashfully asking him what the things he said meant sometimes.

You knew exactly what was going to come next.

-i feel like the the most probable way you two would meet is if you're a legend in the games

-and even then, you'd have to be pretty remarkable for Rev to notice you

-The victory party held by Mirage for your, Mirage's, and Bloodhound's win was.. not your scene, to say the least.

-(In your opinion, you didn't even deserve to be at the party, Hound did most of the work, and you felt even Eliott did more than you did, as much as they would like to argue otherwise. All in all, it was a lucky win, at most.)

-The loud music, strobe lights and smoke were quite overwhelming. The only thing keeping you from leaving was the nice drinks, and quiet conversations with Bloodhound, who understood your discomfort, and wished to alleviate it the best they could. (i want bloodhound to be my best friend tbh)

-You let Hound know you were going to go top up your drink, stood up, and walked to the bar

-You were a little tipsy, since either this drink was incredibly strong, or your alcohol tolerance was incredibly low

-So of course, you were stumbling a little bit.

-As you walked to the bar, you were stopped in your tracks rather abruptly, as you had walked into an odd metal pole of some sort, wearing a red headscarf, and a questionable red loincloth, it had shoulder pads as well, including some other robotic things on its body, yellow eyes piercing through you, seemingly analyzing your features. It was difficult to discern what was paint and what was blood.

-wait what the fuck

-poles dont have shoulder pads, silly!

-as you examined the pole a little more you realized, said pole was in fact not a pole, and one of the simulacrum legends, Revenant, the homicidal assassin who seemed to enjoy killing a bit too much.

-wait holy shit

-The first thought racing through your head was probably something along the lines of;

-HOLY FUCKING SHIT IM FUCKING DEAD OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHI

-...

-something like that

-"Oh fuck- uhh I'm so sorry uh" The words making a sprint to escape your mouth, in case you had just received a death sentence, which, let's be honest, you probably did.

-He merely grumbled something incoherent, looked you up and down, pushed past you and continued walking, drink in hand.

-Had you done something wrong? Does he hate you? Anxiety filled your body, and self loathing thoughts began to flood your head. Was this irrational? Absolutely. He seems to hate everyone. Of course, you'd be no different. What could possibly make you different from the others to make you worth his time? Hell, what made you worth anyone's time?

-You did feel bad, you were going to make it up to him, you owed him that much, even if all you did was walk into him. But how would you do it? You heard he likes strong alcohol. Maybe that? You walked up to the bar and asked for the strongest alcohol they had.

-You heard boots behind you, "Bless, felagi fighter. I witnessed what happened, are you alright?" Bloodhound sounded a little worried, they placed a hand on your shoulder, checking you for any sign of.. well anything. Sure, they knew you could hold your own, they were your best friend after all. But this is Revenant we're talking about here, even the great hunter is an equal, at most to the simulacrum. Suddenly you felt eyes on you.

-"Oh, yeah, I'm alright." You grabbed the drink as the bartender placed the dark liquid in front of you. Bloodhound eyed you suspiciously.

-"You do not drink liquor of that intensity." They sighed, realizing your intent. "You... cannot possibly be thinking of trying to apologize to the beast, no?" They were obviously were hoping they were wrong, and you were just being adventurous, even if that adventure will have your head pounding and you laying in bed all of the next day.

-Alas, the tracker was correct. They were smart, you'll give them that.

-"... No...?" They sighed once more at your fruitless attempt at a lie. "I.. cannot stop you, no. But be careful, friend. I will be watching from afar in case something happens, Artur as well." You chuckled a bit at their concern. "I think I'll be alright, but thank you." They paused a moment, before they retracted their hand from your shoulder. "May the God's bless you, I will see you soon." They walked away after that.

-They cared so much it hurt you. You couldn't possibly be worth their time, could you?

-You shook it off, and turned around and began walking to where Revenant was seated. He was far from the crowd, seems he's not a party type of guy. Neither are you, so at least you have something decent in common. You greeted Mirage as you walked by, he was incredibly social tonight, more so than usual.

-"Heeeyy champion! How've you been!" He was too friendly for you, definitely. You'll still humor him though. "Hey! I'm alright, you know me, not a party guy." You fake laughed to relieve tension, luckily he's none the wiser to your façade. "Good, good. Hey man, I thought you didn't drink alcohol that strong, or you just trying something new?" Thank fuck he gave you an easy out. "Haha, yeah. Figured being a lightweight was boring." He laughed and shot finger guns at you before leaving and continuing to dance with the others.

-You didn't even have to look to know Bloodhound was amused and probably laughing at your awkwardness. They didn't even have to hear you to know you were nervous as shit. You looked at them, low and behold, their body was definitely enough proof to know they were laughing. You rolled your eyes, and pushed on.

-Revenants arms were crossed, and his left leg was crossed over his right, his now empty drink on the side table beside him. His eyes followed you, they were less threatening than they were before, but he still emit enough of a fearful aura for you to be a little worried for yourself.

-"I uh, I got you another drink, as an apology, I didn't mean to walk into you like that, I'm sorry." He grunted a bit, he seemed amused that you'd go so far just to apologize. Nonetheless, he took it from you when you held it out to him. "Heh, thanks skinsuit." He finished it in a single swig. He was being oddly nice, maybe he was wasted as hell?

-"Huh, you've got taste. This isn't that bad." he admired the glass before setting it down next to his previous drink. "Oh, I just picked something that looked strong, um, lucky guess, I suppose?" He hummed in approval, not breaking eye contact for even a second. You, on the other hand, your eyes were darting around everywhere, unsure of where to look. He seemed amused.

-"I uh, guess I'll be goi-" Suddenly he was stern. "Sit, skinbag." You quickly made your way to the only chair in close proximity, which just happened to be the one just left of him.

-This is gonna be a long night.

-Not much conversation was made, unsurprisingly enough.

-Though he'd say something every now and then mocking one of the other legends, like how Wraith is being emo at the bar alone, or how Pathfinder was just kind of standing there, giving a thumbs up. You did genuinely laugh and agree each time. You both just watched the crowd in a comfortable silence.

-He was suspiciously not threatening to kill you, he was even being nice, in his own way. This is fucking weird.

-Bloodhound did keep their word, and looked over often. Them and Revenant seemed to glare at each other often, was there some sort of rivalry going on here? You weren't to familiar with all the legends' relationships with each other, other than the obvious ones, Revenant and Loba hating each other, and you get that, she's had a bit of a manipulative streak, and has stolen multiple of your possessions. As well as Loba and Valkrie flirting all the time, You've talked to Kairi a few times, she's confident and kind, she's cool.

-He let out a low, almost animalistic growl. "The hunter, what's their problem." It came out more like a demand than a question. "O-Oh, uh, they're a close friend-" He cut you off, the sternness returning from before. "That's not what I asked, skinsuit." He looked down at you, he glared. You couldn't read him at all. "They uh, want to make sure I'm safe." You looked away, embarrassed you blew their cover. His demeanor changed nearly instantly. He laughed, "Make sure you're safe?! Hah! Even if I wanted to hurt you, they can't do shit." He threw his head back and chuckled. Good lord he was getting a kick out of this- Wait, he didn't want to hurt you? Your face flushed a little at the thought, the guy who seemed to want to skewer anything that moved didn't want to put a knife through your skull? Unlikely, but possible. He was probably just hammered out of his mind. "You're blushing. Ooh~ did I strike a nerve?" His voice was so low, nearly seductive- Is he flirting??? God it sounds like it. Why is he so friendly with you?? Suddenly you feel the slightest bit of confidence. "You, the homicidal robot, are quite talkative, have I perhaps struck your interest?" God the fucking balls on you, dude, you regret it almost immediately, but hold your ground. Bloodhound is watching all of it, they seem intrigued. You noticed Wraith glance over, mildly interested. Perhaps the voices told her something?

-Revenant hummed almost seductively, pulling your attention back to him. "Mmm.. Where's your sense of self-preservation? Or perhaps you've forgotten who I am?" He's leaning over you now, He lifts his hand up, his index finger transforming into a sharp blade. He raises his had to your cheek, dragging his index finger down it, almost in a possessive way, his eyes staring deep into yours. you were almost cowering beneath him, you were slightly afraid, but you held your ground.

-"I would not do that if I were you, anðskoti." Bloodhound had silently made their way behind him, their axe and knife drawn positioned so one swift movement and the simulacrum's head would be severed. Renee had followed them, kunai drawn in a defensive manner as she stood behind them, as backup. She was another close friend of yours, albeit not as close as Bloodhound, she cared for your wellbeing too. Luckily, this place was secluded enough so attention was not drawn to any of you. Surprisingly, Revenant merely chuckled. He stared at you for a moment, "I'll see you later, skinsuit." before walking away.

376 was fantastic, and not too crazy cliffhangers, pretty chill. we got confirmation Dabi was truthful when he said "this is to twist the knife in Endeavor" when he gave Twice's blood to Toga and people were like "lol silly Dabi, because burning down Toga's abusive home is just the thing Endeavor hates" nah fam, he said "you'll be able to use it you know" and the Endeavor thing in the same panel he said he wasn't being kind to her, because he's STILL talking about destroying everything Endeavor wants to protect and Toga is doing that currently. And I just want it out there that my new sexuality is sexy, bloodied panels of Hawks fighting AFO. I should be concerned about Hawks making AFO's eyes go dark with his words, but it's too funny. AFO is all "Lmao Hawks you loser, weren't you talking all big before about how defeating me quickly was supposed to be Endeavor's job??? You're so wishwashi backing out now and making a guy with no arm and hazy consciousness fight his son!" because Hawks threw the "division" plan to the wind since that failed awhile ago, but remember adaptability was his strong suit in the databook. Plans can be adjusted on the fly. So then Hawks is just "*smirks and growls* Fuck you, you're such a chatty mess." Like, damn. "You already lost once already to the No.1 haven't you?! It is so freaking offensive to me for him be insulted over changing strategies just because the last one didn't work like he did something wrong, c'mon this was not only bound to happen, but he's taking in the new situation with stride and still doing his best. Maybe because I have some lingering annoyance over all the "strategy blame" people put on Hawks. Spy thing? That mission was coordinated by the HPSC, they even add extra scenes in the anime to show it. Deku Alone Arc? Deku's own idea and Best Jeanist on the phone was all "ok well if he's gonna be leaving anyways, might as well keep an eye on him and see if it leads us to AFO." The U.A Shelter thing? Nedzu likely offered first. Division? All Might helped majorly, he was all excited over it with his villain magnets and introducing the plan, It was a group effort and I don't like people acting like Hawks did everything himself if it's just so they can blame him for the failure and not being as smart as he acts. Anyways rant over- So AFO was also going "Haaaawks~~~ go face Bubaigawara's will~" literally dragging out his name and singingly it sweetly, because they're insistent on flirting this whole battle. And seriously, I don't even like Naked AFO but why is their fight so much hotter than the DabiHawks Divorce? He never did this to All Might. Hell, this fight is LONGER than the one with All Might and even includes AFO trying to attack Hawks in the same way he did the "Shigaraki is Nana's grandson" reveal. We are so blessed, here's to more sexy bloodied Hawks smirking at AFO next chapter as AFO has questionable teasing energy with him 🍻

I'm surprised Hori is still keeping fast to Dabi only caring about his own revenge and using others to get to it because the Toga scene in the fandom loved to use that moment as a sign that Dabi does care.

I'm also surprised that Hori put so much attention on Hawks and AFO because Hawks at the end of the day is a side character and AFO is the second big bad beside Shigaraki however I'm not complaining as it sounds like he's had many good scenes with AFO and got to show off what makes him an amazing character.

It seems like AFO is just trying to go on the offensive against Hawks verbally but failing though, which is amusing. Who will win, the 100+ year old super villain or the 23 year old chicken boi?

Yay I finished a book!!

Wow I raced through this so quickly.

Hmm so many thoughts but overall I did actually like it. I also see where those pesky “ACOTAR” comments came from but I liked it.

The Cinderella/Fantasy feel was really magical and I loved it!! It’s hard to do and do well but for me it worked.

The pacing was pretty good. Yeah the middle dragged a bit but there was so much action and so much going on that before I knew it we were reaching the end of the book and I was scared I was like how is this going to tie up enough to end this book without me hating the author but she did ittttt!

It reminded me of those paranormal romance books from like the 2010s I just loved it.

So the “twists” in the last part of the book were okay I mean I guessed them all apart from 1 of them which did surprise me.

I’m honest enough to admit that I’ve read a lot of books like this of with these tropes so it’s rare that a book will surprise me. For me it’s not about the destination but how you get there.

It did end on a sort of cliffhanger but it was a good one. Like when an author decides to split books up or have more than one (looking at you dualogies that are basically one book stretched out!) there is a good way to end the first/second/whichever book and an evil way to do it.

When I know a book has a cliffhanger ending I always dread it because the former is hard to do and the latter is what usually happens (to make you pick up the second book of course!) but this one didn’t make me want to hate the author!

There was a decent enough ending that I didn’t feel cheated but an ending that makes you NEED to get to the next book like asap! So I did exactly that!

Just a couple of thoughts I wanted to share regarding the book through so;

Sebastian. Yeah I was so glad at what the author did near the end of the book because reading this I was like No. he is not this squeaky clean good boi !! I was like no. I do not like him for Bree.

Speaking of Bree she did get a bit too stupid to live in the later-middle part of the books I was like giiiiiirl, use your brain !!!

Finn is hot and dark and brooding but I mean how is he even a love interest because he sucks almost as much as “Bash”.

Don’t hate me but I just want her to be like yeah I don’t want either of you assholes lmao. To hell with those two honestly.

I really kinda hope we get a new love interest in THESE TWISTED BONDS. Like Bree deserves so much better than them losers lmao !!!

But yeah I did love this so for me 4 Stars !!!!

Favorite Character

Darius Bowman & Kenji Kon

TBFH I LOVE ALL CAMP FAM CHARACTERS. They all had great character development plus clear motivation on why they did what they did. Those stuff got handled so well and ugh it made me so hard to choose ahaha.

Anyway, I love Darius because he's such a dino nerd. Plus his "never give up" spirit that inspired me as the audience to stay strong when things do fall apart. He's such a precious boi 🥺

And then Kenji. *sigh I hated, HATED this boi since he got introduced. But then as the eps kept going, I realized that he's just a teen that made mistakes and learn from them. The scene in S1 ep 6, when the kids were doing kayak river thing and Kenji told Brooklyn to stop bothering Sammy? Yeah, that's when I doubted my hatred . In S2 I started to actually love his character! He's just so....dumb and innocent lmaooo. The thing is for a comedic character I loved how he also has depth and development :D

Favorite Friendship

CAMP FAM! (Darius, Ben, Kenji, Yaz, Sammy, Brooklyn)

First they're uh- reminded me of the losers club from IT *cough Ben and Eds *cough- especially

Anyway the dynamic and chemistry are awesome! I really hope in S3 there will be more deep convo like in S1 ep 7 (at the monorail, before Ben's near death fall). Them bonding with knowing and understanding each other's feelings is just 🥺😥😭💞

Dave & Roxie

Hmm I'm not into shipping but the closest that I really had interest with are Dave & Roxie and Darius & Brooklyn. But Dave & Roxie is just so cute and fun lol. Like the cool uncle and aunt that genuinely cared even if yes, they did made a lot of mistakes while doing it.

Favorite Funny Scene

S1 Ep 3, when Ben was the one who drive the gyrosphere (idk if this spelled right lmao) and Kenji being the passenger

There are many memorable funny scenes but THIS ONE was the first ever scene that made me wheezed (looking back, I used to think that CC wasn't that good oop- so yeah doubted it but hey look at where I am now!). Kenji's face and Dave and Roxie just "smile and wave" I remember holding my laugh so no one can get disturbed (the first time I watched CC was at night time lol)😭🤣

Favorite Sad Scene

After I rewatch S1, I changed my mind on Ben's near death fall and choose the convo in the monorail.

This isn't really a sad scene but to me when rewatching it, it made me cry. Like seriously real tears what-

"now that it's over, what are the odds if we'll see each other again", everyone is silent then Jurassic World/Park theme played YO I STARTED TO FEEL SO EMO ESPECIALLY WITH THE THEME PLAYED 😭

S2 Ep 8

Ugh this episode and finale is much much better than S1 (it's not that I hated s1's finale it's just s1 was wayyyy more depressing man :( ). Camp fam is together again and Darius completed his arc here (he has serious guilt issue since Ben's fall and I'm glad it got resolved here). This episode was sooooo fun with the actions! And the cliffhanger? I was terrified of what'll come next, but overall I really really enjoy it ahaha 😁💖

And bonus : Kenji learned to ride a motorbike made me so happy when the first time I watched it. I relate so much because that time I was learning to ride one too haha.

Two dorks that met in a thrift store shopping for those ugly Hawaiian shirts you wear pretty much every single day. Sometimes you even sleep in them (Pink’s, they’re bigger on you and comfier). You had approached him with a curious twinkle in your eye-- you’d frequented that very store for about year and spotted him once or twice. Pink was probably the only other person you’d seen there who actually bought the Hawaiian shirts. They were... a specific taste. Not many people liked them as much as you did. The man was a closed book at first (not much different to now, but that was Steve) but, after having a couple of coffee dates, he began to slowly show his feelings for you. 

You’ve been together a good year by now and, after struggling with money for most of your life, he decided to gently introduce you to a life of organised crime. Of course he had made sure you were absolutely certain you wanted this, and you were. It seemed exciting. Dangerous. Something new and different. “Honey, we can be real partners in crime now,” you’d told him, grinning. That had forced a smile out of him.

The Cabots had welcomed you in with open arms-- Steve had told you he’d known them since he was a kid, and the way they talked gave that away. Joe seemed to care deeply about his employees despite his hard exterior, and Eddie was a great laugh-- an all-around genuine guy. 

Fast-forward a couple of months and you’re now considered one of the Reservoir Dogs-- that’s what you call yourselves, anyway. Joe had decided on the name. He’d also decided not to elaborate on why the fuck he chose that name, but it sounded cool to you. So you weren’t fussed. But back to the Dogs-- there’s you, Mr. Purple, Steve, Mr. Pink. And the others are simply known as Mr. White, Mr. Orange, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown and Mr. Blonde. You don’t know their real names. Perhaps in time you’ll get to know them better, but for now it’s for your own protection (and theirs).

“I like your shirt, man,” Brown objects, earning an eyeroll from your boyfriend.

“That’s just what I wanted to fuckin’ hear. Mr. Faggot over here complimenting my dress sense.”

“Don’t be fucking rude, you little asshole!” you scowl, leaning over to flick him in the cheek. “He’s just being nice!”

He just ignores you, continuing to fiddle with his buttons. “I don’t know why I bought this fuckin’ thing. The buttons are on the wrong fucking side.” Well, that was it. As soon as he’d uttered those words, White began howling with husky laughter, followed by everyone else (although Brown didn’t know exactly what he was laughing at). Even Joe was snickering. Yep, he’s wearing your fucking shirt. And you’re wearing his.

MY COMMENTS: i still think of this fic to this very day, this fic is the reason why i hate soulmate AUs oh my God. Richie and Bill’s dynamic isn’t too laid out in this fic, but the ending? God, the ending—absolutely wrecked me. I cried and I screamed and I couldn’t function properly after reading this fic. It’s one of the best fics I’ve ever read and deserves all the love you can give. I love this fic, I adore it, read it.

God, the way they dance around each other and when it’s time to take a dip, they were both to scared. Oh God, I love them so much and this fic ties the intimacy of pining and the ‘friends-with-benefits’ line so well, so perfectly. The mirroring between past and present? What’s next for my fanfics?

Well, now that the Quagmire-Baudelaire switch has wrapped up, i’m gonna tell you a little about what to except as fanfics to come

First, there is a list of fics I have posted in between QBS. There are fics who haven’t had a real scheduele and I just update a little whenever. They will continue to be just that, but right now, I can focus on them a bit more, and hopefully not take as long to write them. Anyway, here is that list:

A series of unfortunate events: A murder mystery

Pretty easy plot. Someone dies in every chapter.

The fic will have a total of 17 chapters, which means some characters will live

Also: Some have caught on guard on who’s the killer, so I may or may not kill someone I don’t really want to kill to mislead you ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) But that’s only a maybe...

The inventor and the poet

A Viodora love story where Isadora moves in with Violet after Quigley passed away

Also, Violet is pregnant. So, there’s that.

I kinda feel like the last chapters has just been a series of random things but in this latest chapter there’s gotta be a follow up, because, someone locked someone in a closet ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

When I am done with this, there may be a follow up fic where you get to follow Violet’s triplets, and other next generation kids

It’s the Quagmires but sixtuplets!

In this au, they will go with the canon Quagmire storyline. Which means, there is not only Quigley but also another sibling who gets missing and believed to be dead

So we get four Quagmires at Prufrock

Although, only two of them will be kidnapped. I’m still going with the Baudelaires being just three

Also two Quigleys who bicker on where to go all the time

Hopefully it won’t be as messy as it sounds

IT oneshot - Seven minutes in heaven

I’m planning for this to only be a oneshot, atleast? But maybe there will be multiple parts. I don’t know.

It’s based on a dream I had where Beverly and Richie stood in a closet and had seven minutes in heaven. It ended with a cliffhanger so I need closure

Ok, this was an idea I had a while back. When the Losers return as adults, they all have a child they brought with them for whatever reason

Beverly because she was scared for her childs life in her abusive husbands home, Richie is a single father and got a child from a hookup and can’t just leave the kid, Ben is also a single father but his kid was gonna stay at their mothers house but couldn’t for some reason, etc

I have an idea where they leave the kids with someone who can take them (like Bev leaves her child with Kay for example), but eventually they end up in Derry anyway

I also have an idea where the loser club’s kids meet up in Derry and every one of them gets kidnapped to Its lair to make their parents come after

Yeah this idea is all over the place

Aged down asoue kids

It’s asoue but everyone in the unfortunate gen is 10 years younger

Except for Sunny, Bea II and Friday, who already is under 10 and will stay the same age

This will make everything so much sadder (Olaf will not try to marry 4yo Violet though, he is not THAT gross)

BnHA Chapter 068: Get In Loser, We’re Going Shopping

Previously on BnHA: We spent entirely too much time on Mineta and all you need to know is that he passed the final despite my best efforts at sending my Mineta-crushing energy out into the universe. Kirishima, Satou, Mina, and Kaminari did not pass, because sometimes life just hits you hard and shit’s not fair. Aoyama straight up asked Ochako if she was in love with Deku and she was like KYAAAAAA and flew away in embarrassment and ended up handcuffing Thirteen on her way out. I don’t know why we couldn’t have seen Iida and Ojiro’s exam instead of Mineta’s, but they also passed. Basically everyone did except the four I already mentioned. And Tomura made a couple of new friends.

Today on BnHA: Tomura meets Dabi and Toga and tries to kill them! Kurogiri sets him straight and Tomura slinks off to sulk. Aizawa announces that Kaminari, Kirishima, Mina, Satou, and Sero have all failed the exam, but that everyone will be going to the training lodge anyway because he loves plot twists. The kids of class A (minus a few holdouts) go to the mall. Everyone splits up. Deku meets some creepy guy in a hoodie. The creepy guy in the hoodie turns out to be fucking Tomura because of course it is.

(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 137 now, so any ETAs will reflect that.)

Closing reflections on both the game and the series as a whole below.

I guess I’m not even really surprised that Xion pretty much got a whole five minutes of screentime in the end after all that build-up. Don’t know what else I expected, Nomura...

You know, KH has always been terrible at pacing, but I still can’t quite believe just how much nothing happened in the first ~20 hours! The Disney filler is fine and all (I mean, the game wouldn’t sell without it), but I have to admit that the initial rush of childish excitement at getting new KH content started to wear pretty thin after four or five worlds of it. Games like KH2 and BBS at least tended to break things up with some big plot events halfway through, right?! I feel like this game really would have benefited a lot from having some kind of breather somewhere in the middle, even if it was just a matter of moving things like the Aqua/Ventus rescue up a bit earlier. They really had to cram a lot into those last few hours, and a lot of things ended up feeling more rushed than they really needed to be as a result. But for all the game’s flaws, in the end I still felt like I was able to leave the characters I cared about most on a satisfying note, and I think I’m content with that.

I really loved the way Axel was portrayed in this game! I feel like they hit a pretty good balance with him in the sense that, yes, he’s obviously realised that he messed up horribly and wants to do better, but he still totally feels like Axel. He’s still very much an obviously flawed and self-centered person who still habitually puts his own emotional needs above others, still wants to frame himself as the hero of the story who will obviously be the one to save Roxas in the end - and I love that the game itself never really buys into that framing. There is honestly not a single scene in this game where I felt like the emphasis was on what a cool and good person Axel is. His constant apologies to Kairi feel incredibly uncomfortable, like he’s very clumsily trying to finally hold himself accountable for what he’s done but still has absolutely no idea to actually handle it. His boasts about being a Keyblade wielder feel like empty arrogant bluster that never really gets backed up. When he pointedly interrupts the big cast reunion to scream “Um, hello, what about ME?!”, it seems more petty and ridiculous than anything. And when we get to the final battle, he repeatedly and consistently fails, on every count. He tries to have a big badass moment rebelling against Xemnas, but Xemnas totally beats his ass, and in the end it’s Roxas and Xion who have to jump in to save him, not the other way around. He has absolutely nothing to do with saving Roxas, or bringing him and Xion back, or even dealing with Saix, despite how much he heatedly promised that he was going to totally do all those things.

In the end, the real crux of his arc feels like that moment where Xion tells him to step back and leave it to them, and Axel just smiles and admits that, yeah, when it came down to it, the two of them were always stronger than him. They don’t need him, and they never did. I love that so, so much. I love the way that when the three of them are left alone together after the battle, he’s just so obviously awkward and uncomfortable and has no idea what to say, until the three of them all just finally break down crying and hugging each other. It felt so totally genuine and powerful and heartfelt, and I couldn’t have asked for more. I really appreciated Axel’s acknowledgement at the end that they had a lot to sort out, and I expect they probably still do, and a lot of it’s probably going to be messy and painful and difficult - but I’m also fine with us not getting to see that onscreen or with the game dwelling on it too much, because in the end, what’s really important as far as the series’ themes go is that they’re all finally here and alive and free to be themselves, and the ending rightly puts the final emphasis on that - on the sheer joy and wonder of them finally being able to live in the world, as people, to be happy and confident in themselves and who they are. Xion showing up at the tower in those beautiful clothes was the point where I pretty much just started crying my eyes out and couldn’t stop for the entire credits sequence. I love that the framing of their final scenes doesn’t really put any real special emphasis on Axel at all; it makes it feel like their happy ending isn’t really about them reuniting with him as a trio (in the way that, say, the BBS trio’s ending is very much framed), it’s about a much broader sense of them being able to live, and to experience the joy of living, with all that entails - that he’s just one of many friends for them now, and that the days of their messed up co-dependent relationship where they all had to desperately cling on to each other to feel human are hopefully over. The only thing I don’t really like about it in the end is Saix being there, but hey, nothing’s perfect. I do wish that things like Xion’s return had been a bit less rushed, and that her and Roxas had more screentime than they did, but all in all, I feel like I definitely got the closure I wanted, and I’m overjoyed with it.

As for the rest of the game... well, I’d be lying if I said the overall plot wasn’t pretty much a giant incoherent mess overall - the finale had way too much crammed into it, a ton of the antagonists seemed to do sudden 180s at the end for no reason, and it was an absolutely terrible choice to spend such a huge amount of time on obvious sequel hooks and cliffhangers (the black box, Subject X, Marluxia and co secretly being ancient keyblade warriors or whatever the hell Chi is doing) in a game that should really have been firmly focused on giving closure to the existing arcs after all these years - but... well, it’s Nomura, and it’s Kingdom Hearts. I don’t think I really expected anything else. But I did feel like the game was generally charming and enjoyable on a moment-to-moment level, the quality of the dialogue and cutscene direction felt like a big step up for the series, and I did actually enjoy the sheer scope and ambition of the final boss rush for what it was. It was absolutely a mess, but it felt like a sort of final celebration of the series and its characters that made me feel really excited and nostalgic in a sort of “bringing out my inner twelve-year-old” way, and there were a lot of great individual moments in there - the RXA reunion, Repliku’s sacrifice, Sora apologising to Namine - that genuinely did manage to hit hard and leave an impact. I guess at this point, KH has been ongoing for so long that it’s just inevitably exciting to see all these stories finally coming to a conclusion instead of just stalling at the same point forever, however weird the execution.

The one big thing I’d say they totally dropped the ball on was the BBS trio; their resolutions just felt completely empty to me, way too easy and simplistic and without any real consequences or acknowledgement of things like Aqua’s fall to darkness and how it impacted on her, or Terra’s rock-bottom self-esteem and the ways Aqua and Eraqus contributed to that. (Hell, when Ansem and Xemnas’s last words gave me much stronger Terra feelings than Terra’s actual resolution did, something must have gone terribly wrong!) They weren’t really ever my favourite characters, so I’m not too upset about it, but I still think they deserved better than they got. And I pretty much just tuned out all the nonsense at the end with Kairi’s unbelievably transparent and cynical fridging (”You require motivation” oh my god get lost!!) and the drama over Sora being separated from her again becuse I just...really didn’t care any more. I’m sorry, I just didn’t. Those two can keep cycling through their same old boring plot forever if they want to, I just don’t care!! I actually barely even noticed Sora disappearing at the end because I was too busy crying over Xion, lmao. Thank god my favourite characters don’t have to live inside those two losers any more. They are free from their nonsense now, and so am I.

So, how do I feel about the series as a whole, coming out of KH3? I’ve spent quite a bit of time revisiting and reflecting back on the older games in the run-up to KH3′s release, and honestly, I think my opinion coming out is more or less the same as it was coming in. I can’t really honestly say that the series as a whole is good, and it’s probably not at all worth the investment for anyone new to the series trying to get into it now - but I do feel that there is genuinely a lot of good stuff in there among all the nonsense, and I’d have to say that my personal experience growing up with the series and following it all these years has been an overwhelmingly positive one, overall.

KH1 was a very conventional shounen story, but a charming and beautifully told one. CoM was a genuinely unique and unsettling game that pulled apart KH1 in a ton of interesting ways, and even if the series didn’t have the guts to really keep going with the ideas it set up, I still feel that it was really interesting and cool as a standalone. KH2 was a mess, but it was an epic mess that I totally loved and obsessed over as a twelve-year-old, and it set up some genuinely fascinating concepts with Roxas, the Nobodies and the Organization which 358/2 Days went on to capitalise on incredibly well. I genuinely find 358/2 Days to be a game that still has a lot of power and resonance for me even now; it’s probably the only KH game I’d say I wholeheartedly respect and admire from a writing perspective, and I still love how comprehensively it tears apart everything KH2 was trying to say (in a way that the series totally was willing to run with and expand on, unlike CoM, which even 10 years later is still kind of unbelievable to me). BBS’s writing was a big step down from Days, but there were still a lot of really cool and interesting characters and concepts in there, and even if KH3 ultimately failed to stick the landing on them, I’d still say that a lot of what the game tried to communicate with Terra’s character in particular has continued to stick with me. Re:coded and DDD were both pretty silly, but they were still totally fun and addictive games (debugging system sectors was great fun, and I can’t hate anything as transparently Pokemon-derivative as the Dream Eaters), and I loved how they both so unapologetically continued down the path Days set up in kicking KH2′s original conclusions about Nobodies to the curb. And KH3, for all its missteps, still managed to cap off the character arcs and themes that I most cared about in a way that was ultimately satisfying to me. The overarching plot might have been absolute nonsense, and the series more often than not a ridiculous and filler-bloated mess, but in the end I really can’t feel anything but happy and positive memories when I look back on any of these games. I can’t really hold the series’ flaws against it too much when it’s brought me so much joy over all these years.

I think the one thing I love and appreciate most about the series, looking back now, really is just how willing they were to scream from the rooftops that the sacrifices Roxas and Xion were pushed into making were categorically wrong, that they deserved to be their own people, right through to the very end. In the end, the series was already pretty much irreversibly going down the path of bringing them back and giving them their own happy endings by the end of DDD - which was amazing - so in the end all KH3 really had to do for me to love it was to just complete that obvious final step, and I was more or less guaranteed to be okay with whatever other nonsense it might do. But even so, there was a part of me that still couldn’t quite believe it seeing their happy ending at the end of KH3; I still almost couldn’t process that this was actually real, that they actually seriously did it. KH2 so obviously wanted its players to uncritically take Roxas’s choice to go back to being part of Sora as a good thing, and even Days left a heck of a lot of wiggle room for people to read Xion’s willingness to sacrifice herself as a positive choice, rather than something she very clearly did not want but was forced to convince herself was okay because she simply wasn’t given any other viable options.

And this kind of goofy shounen-adjacent series having a lot of disturbing and uncomfortable subtext beneath the surface of its seemingly conventional plotlines isn’t exactly a rare thing in itself, but I feel like it’s pretty uncommon to see a series like this go so far in explicitly bringing out that subtext and making it into text - unambiguously shouting from the rooftops and making it outright unavoidable canon that, no, Days was in fact not just a tragic story about people with no hearts who were always just tragically doomed from the start to sacrifice themselves and return to the “real people” they came from, but was in fact a story about perfectly real and complete and valuable people being subtly and systematically brainwashed into believing that they had no hearts and were less real and valid and important than others, about the horrible things those kinds of beliefs can do to people and about force them to willingly dehumanise both themselves and others to cope. Xion’s story was not a beautiful tale about accepting her true nature as a part of Sora’s memories and willingly returning to him, it was a story about a person who absolutely deserved and wanted to live for herself having her entire identity and self-confidence crushed and destroyed, about her being pushed into becoming actively suicidal even by perfectly “well-meaning” people. Roxas’s tragedy was in fact not just that he “didn’t get to meet Sora himself” before getting assimilated back into him - him being assimilated into someone else in the first place was the tragedy, because giving his own independently developed self up should never have to be something anyone has to do. Namine merging with Kairi was not a beautiful happy ending, it was an incredibly depressed and guilt-ridden person taking the first excuse she had to fade away because she no longer saw any value in herself and her existence, and Sora and Kairi uncritically validated that perception of herself by accepting her merge with Kairi as right in a way that they absolutely shouldn’t have.

None of this is reduced to subtext or interpretation, KH makes it all outright canon by implication - and not only makes it canon but actively sets up the entire main thrust of its epic multi-game arc to be about setting these mistakes right and bringing these people back and validating them as full human beings in their own right. And honestly, I just think that’s incredible. I love it, and I’ll always be grateful for it, and a huge part of what lets me keep coming back to games like 358/2 Days and still being able to fully appreciate them even now is having that knowledge that these interpretations are not just me reading too much into the text, but that they have been outright objectively confirmed as the correct readings within the series itself, over and over again, and only more and more and more explicitly and unavoidably as time has gone on. I honestly can’t express how much it means to me that KH is so loud and unambiguous about how much it loves and values and holds up these people as real and important, whatever their origins, whatever the fanbase might have to say about how bringing them back is “fanservice” and “ruining their original conclusions”. It’s so important to me, and I’m so thankful for it.

So yes, overall, I think I’m content with this game, and with the series in general! As long-awaited series finales go, I’ll definitely take it over things like Homestuck and Zero Escape’s efforts any day. I feel pretty much happy ending my time with the series on this note, and while I probably will still end up checking out whatever Nomura does next, I think it will probably be more out of vague curiosity than any strong investment by now, which is fine - the plotlines I cared about most within the series have now been pretty definitively closed, to my satisfaction, and I doubt anything else it does will manage to interest me nearly as much, but I’m sure I’ll still be willing to pop in again in a few years anyway for old times’ sake. For now, I am free, and I’d have to say that feels pretty good! I’m willing to forgive Kingdom Hearts a lot just because it’s brought me so much joy over the years, and I can’t think of any other series that has managed to stay emotionally significant to me for as much of my life as this one has. So in the end, all I can say is: thank you, Tetsuya Nomura! Keep on co-opting those beloved Disney movies to indulge your absurdly convoluted shounen anime nonsense, you wonderful, ridiculous man.

1. Which of your MCs would win the hunger games?

• BB MC? That bitch regrets nothing, lmao.

2. Which MC is your favorite?

• I think my AME one. She is so flirty and especially confident! I wish I was more like her. Mine legit fucked Jen and Mackenzie on the same day. No regrets, hehe.

3. If only one LI could be transported into your real life to become your real-life partner, who would it be and why?

• My favorite LI is Kamilah, but I wouldn’t choose her (I think?), because she’s 30 and I’m 18, lol. I feel like she wouldn’t fit into my life at this point of time? Also, there is no way she wouldn’t break up with me after realizing what a loser I am, hahaha. So, Kaitlyn Liao seems more realistic even though I chose Chris over her in-game. No idea what was wrong with me back then. I’d undo the choice, so I do think she counts. Most LIs are too old for me. :D

4. Which character do you relate to most?

• Probably the D&D MC, if she counts. She is so young, delicate in a way, and she tries to find her place in life while having to deal with so many losses, like the deaths of both her parents. She’s kinda “alone” in this world, but still tries to see the light, without being overly confident or strong or anything I’m not. That’s why I can relate to her. Also, to Miss Sutton, since she’s kind of plain, doesn’t get much attention, but has her own story and problems, like being underestimated, misunderstood or simply in a situation where she is obviously not wanted. Talking about her relationship with Mr. Marlcaster here. Obviously, he doesn’t love her. That’s where I’m very unlike MC and more like Miss Sutton: Literally no one has a crush on me, much less five super fancy rich people.

5. What was the first book you played?

• MW. And bought the first dumbass diamond choice they presented me. Lmao, never again.

6. Which book have you replayed the most times?

• None. I’ve played most once, some rather new ones never. Like, ATV. I haven’t heard a single good thing about it.

7. Would you rather have Hero 2 or Most Wanted 2?

• MW, because I didn’t like Hero. I liked the beginning a lot, then took a break for some reason, and when I returned to play it was just plain boring. Neither the characters nor the story appealed to me. With MW, it was quite the opposite. I didn’t like the story until the end when it got very interesting. I liked Hayley Tull a lot and that cliffhanger. How could they not continue this dope story, like for real? Who killed Hayley?? PB, we want answers.

8. Did you like LoveHacks?

• Yes, but not overly. It was nice. Liked the characters more than the story itself, though, as far as I remember.

9. Did you like RoE?

• I did! That’s a rare book in which I liked both the story and the characters. I loved the development, too, but it isn’t one of my favorite books and I can understand that it got a lot of hate, because there was no female LI.

10. Which MC in your opinion is the most beautiful?

• D&D, I think? But it’s hard to say. My AME one is also pretty.

11. Which female character (from any book) is the prettiest in your opinion?

• Kamilah Sayeed comes to mind. She has this kind of “perfect” appearance. Like, no flaws?? It’s hard to describe, but I see her beauty very different than Priya Lacroix’s, for example, who is also very pretty, but not in the “flawless” way, more in the wild, exotic way. Anyway, I think I’d say Kamilah, especially when she smiles. :)

12. Which male character (from any book) is the most handsome in your opinion?

• ADAM VEGA. He is... Omg. He is everything! I don’t even know where to begin with describing this masterpiece... Even his wrinkles suit him! 😍

13. Which character is the most intriguing?

• I’m a sucker for dark backstories. Look at The Council, for example. They each have a super dark one that made them the (mostly horrible) person they are today, I’m sure of it! Priya’s interests me the most. I have a HC for it, but it’s so damn dark. Also, Adam’s, of course, since he’s my world. :’)

14. If you had to befriend anyone from any book, who would it be?

• Kaitlyn comes to mind? Again?? In the less realistic way, Adam Vega, but it’s not like my friendship would bring him any sort of benefits, so he’d probs toss me in the trash. Lmao. xD

• Haha, I wouldn’t know, I never buy the outfits. Like 25 diamonds? That is too damn high for a piece of fabric. Like, I could pay the exact same amount for a beautiful night with my LI. Seems way better to me. Anyway, AME MC or TRR MC, I’d say, since they can afford expensive shit like super glam dresses.

• Uh... Most have troubling lives. I’d say BB, before the plot. Or TRR. That bitch is lucky. Yet, I’d deny myself all the luxury, money and love if I had the chance to live in a world with Adam instead. :’)
