I love your manager requests if you can make one if you don't mind one where ness or I could say reader to ask ness out on a date in front of the guys and have the guys go see spy on her date with ness if it's What do you want and don't mind making my request?
Author: OmG I love that concept sm! Hope you are alright with this story and thank you for the request! Have a great day/night🩷
Warnings ⚠️: Reader uses she/her. Requests are open. I listened to Cupid by Fifty Fifty and may have gotten carried away a little
Pairings: Blue Lock x manager!reader (Ness x Reader)
⚽️Blue Lock belongs to:Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura⚽️
Ego expected a lot of chaos to come from training kids...teenagers who want to be always right and on top of everything. And while he enjoyed that part, it was really the main reason he started the Blue Lock project, he didn't necessarily like kids. And today was one of the days he remembered he didn't want any. Ego's day started off to begin with, he woke up without Anri and he didn't see her or (Y/n) in the cafeteria,  where they usually ate breakfast. During the day Anri kept texting back and fourth with someone, then tried to get him to agree on letting (Y/n) help out Noel instead of the Blue Lock team. He of course said no. And now, when he tried to calmly eat his lunch, (Y/n) decided to barge in while squealing.
"And?!" Anri yelled as the younger started giggling and nodding her head along.
"He said yes! We are going out tomorrow!"
Ego watched with a dumbfounded face as the two started speaking over each other.
"What are you two even squealing about?" Ego asked, causing the two to stop and look at the older man.
"Well..." (Y/n) started, getting shy as Ego stared her down.
(Y/n) felt like her stomach was about to explode, the whole day yesterday and this morning Anri was practicing with (Y/n) how to approach Ness. Tomorrow was their day off so asking him out on a date now is the last chance for her.
'How should I approach him? Calm and collected?! Or should I just blurt everything out?! God help me.' She gulped as her face started getting redder.
'Also why is everyone so loud?' (Y/n) wondered, cringing when she heard Shidou yell something and Baro chiming in.
"Otoya! Karasu! Stop eating (Y/n)'s food!" Aryu scolded the duo, who by now had pulled (Y/n)'s tray closer to them.
"It's not like she is eating!"
"(Y/n) needs to eat and you idiots took all her food. Here, you can take my lunch, (Y/n)." Isagi offered, only to get ignored as the girl kept staring at the door.
'Those gorgeous, big eyes and that smile... And his voice! Ahh~ if only he will say yes!' (Y/n) prayed to herself.
"(Y/n)!" The girl jumped a little and looked over at Isagi in a daze.
"W-what?"
"You want my lunch. Those idiots ate yours." Isagi said, pointing at Karasu and Otoya.
"It's fine, you can eat yours Rin."
(Y/n) said absent-mindedly as the door opened, revealing Kaiser and Ness.
'There he is! Ahhh~ his hair looks so fluffy!'
"Rin?! (Y/n), that's Isagi." Aryu said as he pointed as the offended boy, but she ignored it and got up to walk towards Ness.
"Tha-Thanks Chigiri, I will check it out in a minute."
"Chigiri?! Rin?!" The table exclaimed as they observed the girl. Reo, Nagi and Bachira, who were sitting nearby looked over at the table and then watched as (Y/n) called for Ness.
"What is she doing?!" Reo exclaimed.
"I don't know... and thanks to them I can't hear anything." Nagi groaned, looking over at Rin, Baro and Shidou. Bachira's hands twitched under the table, knowing whatever it was, it won't end well.
"N-ness... h-how are you today?" (Y/n) said with red cheeks as the boy sent her his usual smile.
'I think I have diabetes from how sweet he looks!' The girl thought.
"It's been great. Noa has been giving us some crap over the defense, but all in all good. Kaiser and I came here to eat lunch, want to join?" Ness asked, pointing at the table where the blonde and some other players of his club were.
"A-ah no... I just wanted to ask you something."
Ness grew a little concerned at how red her face was.
'Maybe it's a flue.' He thought as he touched (Y/n)'s forehead.
'Ehh?!' The girl thought as she looked at the boy.
"You seem to be alright, but you face is completely red. You want me to bring you to the nurse?" Ness asked with a frown as (Y/n) shook her head.
"N-no need... I just wanted to ask you... to go on a date with me tomorrow." Although she finally said that, it was pretty silent and add to to the other 3 bickering Ness didn't understand anything.
"To what?"
"To go out with me." (Y/n) said it louder this time, but Ness still couldn't hear her and glared at Shidou, Baro and Rin, who were about to get scolded by Reo and Kunigami.
"I said..." (Y/n) took a deep breath.
'My heart is about to explode!'
"Will you 3 shut up?!" Reo yelled causing the other 3 to grow silent for a moment.
"Will you go out on a date with me tomorrow?!"
Kaiser spit out his drink as be looked at the two and there were light choking sounds coming from Chigiri.
'Ahhh! Why did they have to stop arguing now?!' (Y/n) thought in embarrassment and looked at Ness again, who had a red face matching hers.
"S-sure... when?" The boy stuttered out, feeling his heart explode.
'She looks kind of adorable with that face.'
"T-tomorrow?"
"Alright. I... we can make some plans at dinner then?" Ness suggested, both feeling awkward as the players stared at them.
"Great idea!" (Y/n) said back as she played with the hem of her shirt.
Present time...
"You both are yelling here over a date?" Ego asked in disbelief as (Y/n) nodded her head.
"It's cute, Ego-san! This place misses some romance and drama, in my opinion." Anri said, making the man facepalm.
"This is for football not some weird drama, TV show..."
"Alright! Do we have everything set?!" Kunigami yelled as they went over the plan for tomorrow.
"Yes, Reo, Nagi, Bachira and I will form a group and follow them." Baro said bitterly as Reo sulked while the other two looked like they were out for blood.
"Then you have Yukimiya, Chigiri, Rin and I." Isagi said, dreading to see (Y/n) all lovey-dovey with the German boy. Rin and Chigiri were cracking their knuckles while Yukimiya was taking some notes.
'Whatever he is doing...' Isagi thought, worried that they might end up in jail.
'But it's for (Y/n)'s safety.'
"Then you have Kurona, Hiori, Otoya and I. We will beat Ness up." Karasu said with a murderous glint as the other three nodded their heads.
"No beating up! For now..." Kunigami sighed.
"That leaves Niko, Gagamaru, Aryu and I. When did you hear the date was again?" Kunigami asked as he looked over at Bachira, who was clenching his fists.
"At 9 they will meet up. They will go to the nearby town for a few hours. Can we beat him up after?"
"Maybe. I still don't see what (Y/n) loves about that freak when I am over here." Aryu sulked.
"You all... do you think (Y/n) might pick to work for Bastard München after this?"
The guys turned to look at Gagamaru, who was on the verge of crying along with Niko.
"The hell are you even saying?! She won't leave me- US like this!" Rin yelled, clearly the most upset about the whole incident.
"Calm down, Rin! What makes you even say that, Gagamaru?" Otoya questioned the boy.
"You all do remember that she never turned down Noel-san's offer officially." Gagamaru reminded them.
"Oh... But still, she wouldn't leave us for Ness... right?" Isagi said, chuckling nervously.
"No, of course not. We are still her number 1 priority!" Reo said as Nagi groaned.
'Why that bastard of all people?! I was right there (Y/n)!' The boy thought.
The next day (Y/n) woke up bright and early, got herself ready and dressed in some clothes Anri helped her pick up, then went to meet up with Ness at the entrance.
'He looks so dreamy~ those eyes!' (Y/n) blushed as the boy glanced at her.
"Should we go and eat first? You didn't eat anything." Ness offered as they walked down the road. Clearing her throat, (Y/n) nodded her head.
"Sure! Where do you want to go? I heard they have so many good restaurants."
"Whatever you pick, I trust your instincts." Ness smiled, shyly offering his hand for her to hold.
'Ahh! It's happening!' (Y/n) thought and took it.
"I saw good reviews on a restaurant down the road. They serve some French pastries too."
"What does he mean by instincts? Is he calling her gluttonous?!" Rin whispered from behind the wall as he glared at Ness' head.
"Can we beat him up now?" Yukimiya questioned as Isagi and Chigiri shook their heads.
"Not yet, later. Chigiri go and call Kunigami and tell them where to go." Isagi said as Yukimiya pointed frantically at the duo.
"They are holding hands! Red alarm."
"Maybe we could beat him up now." Isagi said as a dark aura formed itself around Rin and him.
"It's so nice here, the food is good and even the music is right. That doesn't happen often." (Y/n) said as she ate her katsudon, enjoying the crunch of it.
"It's really nice. I need to eat it again when I visit Japan. You were right with the katsudon... was it?" Ness asked nervously as he took another bite.
"Aha~" the girl said as she happily took another bite.
'She seems to like food a lot... Hmm there are nice places in Munich I could bring her to once she visits again. So cute~' Ness sighed with a blush as he kept watching her eat, the facial expressions were adorable to him. Noticing that she nearly ate her fried meat and put some of his unto her bowl.
"Ha? Why aren't you eating it? Is it bad?" (Y/n) asked in panic, but the boy just shook his head, giving her another one of his smiles.
"I ate enough fried food for the time being... besides it seems to be your favorite part of the dish and I like how happy you look when eating it."
'Ahhh! I can't take it anymore!' (Y/n) thought as her face grew a bright red and stuttered out a quiet thank you. Then she looked down at her bowl to see what she could give him
"Are they sharing food now?" Niko asked in shock as the group observed them from a few tables away.
"I thought that was a thing she exclusively did with me..." Gagamaru said, sounding heartbroken as Niko added in.
"I feel so insulted... the two of us got closer thanks to food... and now she does the same with another dude."
"I still can't believe she never noticed us. Her eyes are completely glued to that Ness dude."  Aryu bit into his napkin, jealous of the heart eyes she was sending him the whole time.
"Calm down you all, I know this sucks and I rather we pull (Y/n) away from that dude, but we can't cause a scene." Kunigami warned, contemplating to go over there and pick the girl up from the seat.
The whole table then frowned as the two laughed at something.
"The shrine is pretty nice. And you are sure I can take pictures?" Ness wondered as he took out his phone. (Y/n) looked once more at the signs and nodded her head.
"Yep as long as nothing is disturbed it's fine to take pictures." She summarized what the writing said and Ness nodded his head. (Y/n) watched happily as he took pictures of the place.
"Thanks, Liebling."
'He looks so lovely... I hope I can take him to another shrine the next time he visits. He will love the ones in Osaka a lot.' (Y/n) thought, swooning a little as he smiled again.
"What is he doing? Why is he ignoring (Y/n) like that?" Nagi watched the scene in disbelief as Reo tsked in distaste.
"If I was him the only pictures I would take ar ethe ones with (Y/n) in it. He must be stupid to act like this." The purple-haired boy huffed and looked away.
"What's worse is that (Y/n) doesn't seem to realize her own worth if she let's this slide. Can I kick something at him?" Bachira wondered.
"Not now, I don't want toe hear Mr. Hero scolding us. But I do agree that he must be blind to ignore her like that." Baro crossed his arms as they continued torturing themselves with the duo.
'Why him?! Why does she look at him like that?!' The four thought.
"That was a really nice day, when is the bus arriving again?" Ness asked as he squeezed (Y/n)'s hand tighter.
"I think in about an hour or so. I really hope you liked today, it wasn't much but uh... maybe next time..." (Y/n) looked around the place nervously as Ness nodded his head.
"Next time we can plan something for Tokyo. I always wanted to visit Shibuya, Liebling."
The boy said as (Y/n) nodded her head.
'So there will be a next time!'
"Oh... I wanted to ask you what that means."
"What what means?" Ness raised an eyebrow.
"Lieb... Liebling?" (Y/n) repeated in broken German. Ness thought for a moment and then leaned down to whisper something to her.
"Basically it means Honey."
'Ahhh!! This isn'ta dream?!' (Y/n) thought to herself.
"What did he say?!" Otoya whisper-yelled as he glared at the boy as he moved away from (Y/n) a little.
"Karasu! Don't cause a scene! Hiori help me hold him back." Kurona told the blue-eyed boy, who reluctantly came to help.
"I say we let him get a beating. He is literally stealing my manager."
"Our manager, Hiori. And I just don't want to see (Y/n) sad."
"True... that would suck..."
"And?! How was it?! I want to hear all the details!!" Anri yelled excitedly as (Y/n) entered Ego's office.
"Do you two have to talk about it in my office?" The man groaned as Anri sent him a glare.
"Yes. Yes, we do. And?!" The woman said as she pulled (Y/n) to a corner. The girl blushed a little and hid her face with her hands.
"I think we will be having another date again."
Ego rolled his eyes as they kept on talking.
'Kids are a hassle.'

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 initial thoughts
[ NOT spoiler-free ]
For me, this is one of the few franchises that got better and better as it went along. This third movie was just absolutely phenomenal. As someone had said, it is a great send-off to the movie and the Guardians we've known.
They did a great job exploring Rocket's origin. It really explains why he's never wanted to talk about his past. It was violent and heartbreaking. Nebula's line of "They did worse things to him than Thanos did to me" (or something along that line) summarized it best. You also understand why Rocket can be so violent: it wasn't much because he learned it from the people who engineered him, but because the last time he tried to get away safely, quietly, his friends - essentially his family - all got killed. And the person who caused it was so cold about it. So while he could be extreme, he does it so that no one can hurt him or any of his friends ever again.
Which leads to this other point: Rocket is a grump and a cynic, but deep down he actually really loved the other Guardians.
Adam Warlock! I didn't know what to expect from him, but after seeing the movie, I want to see more of him.
Also: it's great that the movie managed to give Adam his own origin story, his own motivation for why he eventually ended up being a guardian.
Drax was hilarious in this movie, as he always is, but Mantis kinda came for the crown a bit! The fact that she made him fall in love with a sock for fun and made one of the guards they had to get through fall in love with him were some of the funniest moments in the movie.
On a more serious Drax note: "Drax. You weren't meant to be a destroyer. You were meant to be a dad." One of the best lines in the movie. I never would have thought that this is how Drax would "grow up" as a character, but it all made sense. It does.
Kraglin had a fantastic growth too. He'd been trying to train with the arrow Yondu gave him over and over and over, trying to concentrate and plan and think. And he kept failing over and over and over. But when Knowhere was in danger, he finally remembered what Yondu told him: "Fly it with your heart." When he realized that he needed to get out of his head, man did he do some damage. It was amazing.
The bad dog/good dog argument 😂
Gamora. I like how they approached that. They didn't make her fall in love with Peter, even after all the fighting that they did as a team. They were barely even good friends in the end. Also, it's nice that she has a different family to belong to now (the Ravagers) but who still loved her just the same. It's good that they didn't try to change her. They made her realistic.
Lol "You guys are just making up what he's saying" when Groot would talk
Nebula. Oh, man, where do I begin. I've started really liking her as a character since GotG 2, and even more so during Endgame, but wow. She's really grown. She looks after the people of Knowhere, the Guardians look to her for big decisions and even resolution for internal problems of the team. The team respects her, even more than Peter most times. She still has rage inside, and she has trouble expressing other feelings without it, but I think she's made tremendous progress. And it's so obvious that she cares deeply about the team and even the lives of others, even if she doesn't outright say it.
Okay. There's a lot to unearth with the not-so-subtle hints at Peter/Nebula. First off, it's obvious in this movie and even in the Christmas special that Nebula's been looking after Peter. But the fact that she would take him home whenever he was totally wasted and put him to bed, making sure he was comfortable? And when Gamora was going to hurt Peter out of frustration and Nebula jumped in to stop her, practically telling her to back off? And that when Gamora suggested that the woman Peter's describing, the one that he's fallen in love with because she's grown from being ruthless to being caring, is Nebula, and Peter started looking at her differently? Bruh. I don't know what they're playing at here, but alright. I'm onboard.
Speaking of Peter, I like that he decided to come back home to Earth to reach out to his grandfather. I'd like to think he got a little help from the Avengers to get to that doorstep (info, means of transpo, things like that). It was great to see him in a normal life setting in the post-credit, too, where he's just eating cereal, talking smack about someone behind their back lol
Okay, that's it for now. Will come back when I remember the other things I liked (spoiler alert: there's a TON)

i’ve been watching moriarty the patriot (finally) and first of all eat the rich and second of all i love william. here’s something for my williamheads out there
Tumblr media
william james moriarty is sexually attracted to idiots (and you’re the idiot);
Tumblr media
at first glance, no one knows how the fuck a refined genius like William and a single-digit IQ buffoon manage to work
you’re vastly different people, after all. while William has enough brainpower to run all of England you have enough brawn to break it down by hand
you’re abnormally strong for your build, you always have been, and you tend to stray away from the law which is what attracted William’s interest in the first place
you became the brute force that would come in and fuck shit up whenever shit required fucking up, and you were more deadly barehanded than most people are equipped, so you became a “personal bodyguard” of sorts.
but holy shit were you dumb.
part of you hated being around william so much, because he’d say things and then someone else would reply with different things and you were always just completely lost
what’s going on? who does this dude want revenge on? how is will gonna get everyone out? who is this guy? how’d he find us? wait, did he find us or did we find him? i need a nap.
once you accompanied william on a train with a murder onboard. also onboard was william’s rival (another man who thought so hard it made your head hurt). and by the end of it you were still confused
“There’s just one thing I don’t understand…” you said, though it was a blatant lie, there were many things you didn’t understand. “Who was the killer?”
you remember the blank-faced stare from will and louis. those judgemental red eyes continue to bore into your soul.
but william found himself distressingly attracted to you anyway. he didn’t know why, but every time you opened your mouth and something stupid came out he was overcome with an urge to rip his suit in twain.
as you got to know each other better, he found himself seeking your presence whenever he could. you had a lot of stories about your life before you met him, and your comedic timing was impeccable. you seemed to be the only person who could make him laugh — genuinely, that is, not the “weird evil one” you always say he does.
before long you were paramours. there was no official conversation, there didn’t need to be, it was just where your relationship went naturally.
you’d spend as much time together as possible, and you came to notice that whenever you said one of your trademark idiot things that william would fix you with a hungry gaze. it wasn’t perceptible to the average person, but you’d known him so well at that point you could easily tell.
occasionally, whenever privacy permitted, he’d all but jump you once you were alone.
between his fervent kisses you’d ask, “Not that I’m against this—“ he steals your lips again, “but why’re you so excited all of a sudden?”
he pulls away and caresses your cheek, his eyes a mix of lust and adoration. “Darling, would you really prefer to talk when you could just take me?”
that never failed to get you going, which is why he’d say it. he wasn’t really looking forward to confronting that he got insta-hard whenever you acted stupid.
the only time he can hold himself back (other than being in public, that is) is when you’re injured or otherwise unwell. he gets so beside himself with worry that his persona cracks — just a little, but enough to be noticed by his brothers, and certainly more than anyone else can manage.
you stepped into the office one evening with blood pooling into the fabric of your shirt. Louis speaks up first, “You’ve been injured!” he all but yells as he rushes to grab a first aid kit.
you didn’t even seem to notice. you look down and jab at the wound. “Oh yeah, I did get lightly stabbed.”
Moran barks out, “You got stabbed?!”
“Lightly,” you correct him. “That guy William had me nab had a friend with him. I tried to grab him too but I uh… killed him. I didn’t try to snap his neck it just happened. Sorry, boss,” you say, nodding apologetically in William’s direction.
there’s very little to betray his emotions, but as soon as he saw your injury he bit the inside of his cheek. he shakes his head, his smile transfixed but now slightly strained. “Not at all. You did well. Once you get that wound treated you should get some rest, I’ll come see you soon.”
he doesn’t leave your side that night. you insist it’s not a big deal but he can’t bring himself to leave.
part of william hates that he puts you in danger regularly. the logical part knows that you’re near-superhuman with your uncanny strength and constitution, but the emotional part, the part that loves you so dearly it gets anxious when you’re not near, berates him for risking it anyway.
despite you being the one who’s injured, you hold will close and assure him that you’re not going anywhere. “I’d drag my sorry ass up from Hell to come back to you, Will,” you tell him. and you mean it. there’s scarce a force in this world or the next that could stop you.
he smiles a little and relaxes in your arms, inhaling your scent and tracing a finger along your muscles. “I know, my love.”
at first glance, no one knows how the fuck a refined genius like William and a single-digit IQ buffoon manage to work.
at a deeper inspection, it becomes apparent that there’s no one else in the world better suited for each other than you two.

Choices (2)
Werewolf Au! Jungkook x Reader / Enemies to Lovers [Angst and mature content. Not smut but almost smut.]
Summary: Jungkook finally found her. His mate. His lifelong partner. But she's a human. Does he have to stay with her or can he stick it to whatever and whoever binds mates together and make his own decision?
Chapter 1
______________________________________________________________
It had been a few days since the encounter with god knows who in front of her car. It took a couple hours for her trembling to pass but the paranoia persisted. She would continuously check the blinds to see if he returned and would breathe a sigh of relief every time her driveway remained void of his presence. After more pacing around in her living room and spiralling thoughts, she knew she had to call Jennie. She was not the type of person to reach out, instead, wanting to figure things out on her own but it was only a few months ago that her entire world flipped upside down. That was a werewolf and she didn’t know if she was in danger. Fortunately her best friend was dating-or mates, whatever that meant-with a werewolf herself so hopefully Jennie had answers.

As she sat in the cafe waiting for Jennie, she found herself scanning every single person in the room just to see any peculiarities, glowing eyes to be specific. Her paranoia had her jumping in her seat when she saw people with coloured contacts. What else did she have to look for? Pointed ears? Wings? Did Leprechauns exist? Was she just going crazy?
The arrival of Jennie calmed her nerves and with a simple, “Tell me what happened.” from her friend, she found herself telling a story that would make anyone look at her like she was insane.
“What did he look like again?” Jennie asks.
“I-I can’t really remember. It was so dark and I was freaking out but I remember he had black hair, long hair.” she raked her brain trying to remember details about this guy.
“Did he have a scar on his face?” Jennie’s asked cutting her train of thought.
She stared at Jennie with her mouth slightly agape. How did she know?
“Yeah…on his cheek. How do you know?” she arched a brow at Jennie who was staring intensely at the latte in her hands.
Jennie never answered her question. She waved it aside saying that she was just thinking out loud and suggested that they walk around to get their minds off of what happened. Jennie tried to reassure her by pointing out that he hasn’t come back and that werewolves don’t set out to harm people. They’re just like regular people except for the fact that they weren’t.
Jennie’s suggestion to walk around and visit the shops in the neighbourhood did prove to get her mind off on why she wanted to see Jennie in the first place. The girls spent their day trying on clothes and buying little trinkets here and there. Throughout the day however, she couldn’t shake this feeling of being watched off her shoulders. She would ask Jennie if she felt the same way only for Jennie to tell her that she was being paranoid again and that everything was okay. As the sky grew darker, the feeling of danger continued to rise in her body. This time she knew that she wasn’t being paranoid because Jennie suddenly became quiet and rushed to leave whenever they would visit another shop.
“I think we should leave.” Jennie whispered.
There was a man that the both of them had taken notice of. He had been coming into all the shops they enter and leaving at the same time as the both of them, never trailing far behind.
“Let’s pop into the restaurant on the other side of the road, go to the washroom and see if we can leave from the back.” she whispers back to Jennie to which her friend nodded in agreement.
As suspected, the man followed them as they left and entered the restaurant with them. Thankfully, the restaurant was bustling with people waiting to get seated, servers rushing back and forth and people trying to leave.
“Now.” Jennie says, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the washrooms, ignoring all the protests from the employees.
Once the smell of food disappeared and the cold winter air greeted them, they ran to Jennie’s car, never once letting go of each other's hands.
“Jennie you gotta go. You gotta go now!” she cried as they both struggled to put on their seatbelts.

“The West Clan want to celebrate our annual winter gathering at the end of the month.” Namjoon says.
The sun had finally set and the moon was bright in the sky. During winter, everyone seemed to be a bit more energized. Yoongi, one of the older members in the pack, had the most significant change during this season. He was more inclined to join in on group activities and would volunteer to complete tasks that were ‘boring’ like patrolling or warding off other entities nearby in the forest.
“Last time we hung out with the West Clan I almost died of boredom,” Taehyung sighs, dropping his head off the edge of the sofa to look at Namjoon, “Like I actually almost died. They’re the most boring group I’ve ever had to meet.”
“I thought they were cool.” Namjoon said bewildered. He really liked the West Clan. The leader was very philosophical and Namjoon would leave every gathering learning a little bit more about the world.
“Yeah because they talk like you,” Jimin chimes in, eyes not leaving the book he was reading, “Socrates this, to be or not to be that, is this cake or is that cake?”
To Jimin’s comment, Hoseok and Jungkook erupted with laughter. Namjoon could only roll his eyes and go back to looking at his email, deciding to bring this up again when they weren’t being assholes.
In nature, wolves live in groups. They did everything in groups and that reflected in their pack's living arrangements. The cabin that the seven of them built wasn’t very pretty considering that none of them have any experience in building homes but somehow they made it work. Each of them had a room inside the main cabin and separate homes behind the cabin for those with mates. This was an agreement made mutually and silently after being awake all night when Namjoon met his mate, coincidentally during his heat as well.
“Where’s Jin? I haven’t seen him all day.” Yoongi asks, emerging from his room.
“Probably doing it with Mina.” Taehyung snorts.
“They are actually grocery shopping now that Jennie’s a part of the family.” Namjoon sighs, closing his laptop.
“Oh yeah.” Taehyung simply says smiling ear to ear.
Hearing this made Jungkook tense up. The game he was playing with Hoseok on the tv no longer something he wanted to do. Ever since his encounter with her, he hadn’t gone back. The most annoying part was how badly he wanted to go see her again. It was like trying to hold two magnets apart and no matter how hard he tried, he simply could not ignore what his body was feeling. He almost started to hate her for having such an effect on him. It wasn’t love or longing like how it was supposed to feel, but more anger and resentment. He couldn’t even control what he could physically do. Jungkook’s eyes remained in their amber color since he smelled her and it was getting harder and harder to go out and about without people staring at him-after all, coloured contacts aren’t supposed to glow. After a day, his brothers stopped asking him about his eyes instead just choosing to ignore Jungkook’s sudden change until he was ready to talk about it.
“Dude you’re in eighth place.” Hoseok’s excited laughter pulling Jungkook back into reality.
Jungkook stared at his Toad character on the screen that hadn’t moved since Namjoon’s comment. He shook his head and resumed the game with a mutter of “watch how quickly I can beat your ass”. Until this whole thing blows up in Jungkook’s face, he’ll continue to ignore it. He’ll continue to ignore her until it’s life or death.

The car ride between Jennie and her was silent. The both of them almost too scared to speak or they’ll manifest the man that had been following them.
As Jennie pulled into a neighborhood, she noticed that Jennie’s knuckles had turned white from how hard she had been gripping the steering wheel. With how their drive had been uninterrupted and how close they were to her house, she felt like she could slowly breathe again.
“That was crazy huh?” she cleared her throat trying to ease the tension.
“Yeah what the fuck was that all about?” Jennie laughed though her smile didn’t reach her eyes.
Once again, they both fell silent. As they neared her house, she made out a figure standing in the middle of the road. An all too familiar figure.
“Jennie…” she called out, her voice barely a whisper, “He’s fucking here.”
Jennie slammed on the brakes and despite the man being a few meters in front of them, it was as if he could see them so clearly. The girls sat still trying to figure out what their next move was. When the man took a step forward with the side of his lips turned upwards, Jennie put her stick in reverse and turned the car around so fast she swore the whole neighborhood could hear the screech of her tires.
“Go! Go! Go!” she screamed, gripping onto the dashboard and looking at the rear window to see where he was.
Her eyes widened and her mouth hanging when she saw just how quick this guy could run. If his speed wasn’t the culprit of her shock, it was his glowing red eyes. She felt her breathing intensify at an uneven speed.
“Jennie I think that guy is either a fucking werewolf or on loads of bath salts right now.” she yelped when she felt Jennie take a sharp right turn.
“Or a vampire. That guy is going to fucking kill us if we don’t lose him.” Jennie felt tears prick in the corner of her eyes.
“A vampire?!” she gasped now facing Jennie who looked just as terrified as her, “You’re telling me vampires exist now?!”
“Hey! If werewolves are real, anything is fucking real okay!” Jennie screamed back.
The both of them let out another scream when they heard the noise of what sounded like nails scratching on the trunk.
“Oh my fucking god! He’s right fucking behind us!” her eyes now filled with tears.
They had to figure out another route of escape because going over 100 kilmeters per hour seemed like a jog to this guy.
“I’m going to pull the e-brake and whatever direction we face, just step on the gas!” she cried giving Jennie minimal time to brace herself. Taking a chance, she ripped the e-brake sending the girls drifting. It seemed to daze whatever was chasing them and in the small space of his confusion, Jennie went back to stepping on the gas in the opposite direction. There was only one location in mind where Jennie knew they would be safe, she only hoped that they would make it there in time.

The night continued with more laughs and jokes targeted at Namjoon. Jungkook had managed to beat Hoseok in ten rounds of Mario Kart which Hoseok accused Jungkook of somehow cheating and throwing the controller to Jimin vowing to never play with Jungkook again. Instead of accusing Jungkook of cheating, Jimin resorted to calling Jungkook all sorts of colorful names ending with “fucker” when they switched from Mario Kart to Super Smash Bros.
“You’re such a bitch!” Jimin screamed when his character K.O’d again.
Jungkook wiped a tear from his eyes from laughing so hard. He threw the controller aside and got up to stretch.
“I’m done with gaming. You guys suck.” he teased, feeling satisfied with the dirty looks both Hoseok and Jimin shot him.
Following his comment, Jungkook got up and let out a big, exaggerated yawn to further rub salt in their wounds. As he was about to grab a glass of water from the kitchen, the hairs on his back stood up and he felt his stomach drop. Jungkook rapidly spun back around only to see his pack mates lounging and relaxing. His heart began to race and his canines were itching to unsheathe themselves. Something was very, very wrong. He walked towards the window and looked to see if there was anything outside only to be greeted by the moon and swaying trees.
“You feel it too?” Taehyung’s voice suddenly beside him.
Jungkook glanced briefly at Taehyung. His eyes were also glowing and his brows furrowed. Whatever it was, it seemed like only the two of them could feel it.
“Looking for your next victim to bully out there, Kook?” Jimin taunted.
When neither Taehyung or Jungkook answered, the entire room became quiet.
“Hey you guys okay?” Jimin asked, standing up to go over to them.
The rest of the pack followed behind Jimin, everyone tense and ready to pounce at any sound.
“There’s just something off.” Taehyung muttered, sounding like he was speaking to himself.
“Jungkook?” Namjoon nudged.
Jungkook replied with a grumble. He strained his eyes to make out anything out of the ordinary, becoming more and more frustrated as the minutes passed.
_______________________
“I thought you said werewolves don’t set out to harm humans!” she called, hoping Jennie could hear her over the roaring wind.
“Not if they’re rogue!” Jennie called back.
“What the fuck are you talking about?!” she cried, feeling hot tears stream down her cheek.
In the time they spent escaping this monster, the both of them had escaped death numerous times. How they’re alive, she’ll never know. Jennie’s right side mirror had broken off and three out of the four windows were smashed from ramming into other cars or poles. None of them seemed to notice how many shards of glass were piercing through their clothes and embedding themselves into their skin. She vowed that if they were still alive after this, she would devote herself to whatever God out there wanted her.
“We’re almost there.” Jennie breathes out like a mantra.
Trying to see through her blurred vision from the unending tears forming in her eyes, she could make out a long dirt road with trees surrounding them. In the far distance, she saw one single light and smoke rising from the top. She didn’t care where Jennie was taking them, as long as they were safe. As if the creature could hear her thoughts, it swiped the back of Jennie’s car eliciting another ear splitting scream from the both of them.

“Did you hear that?” Yoongi said, his voice a hush.
The rest of them craned their necks to see where that scream came from. Every single pack member now on their toes.
“What the fuck…” Taehyung breathed as he inched away from the window making his way to the front door, everyone following behind.
The winter cold phased none of them who were all wearing either short sleeves or shorts. As the sound of a car engine grew closer, Jungkook could feel his heart hammer harder and harder. The veins on his arms protruding and his canines now completely in full view. Succumbing to their instincts, Jungkook and Taehyung stepped off their porch and slowly approached the sputtering light coming towards them.

Jennie’s head craned back and forth between the cabin and the creature chasing them. She needed to know how much longer she could keep her car going before either Taehyung came to their rescue or before they died at the hands of the monster behind them. She knew her car couldn’t take much longer and cursed loudly when she saw the hill they’d have to climb.
“Jennie! I just wanted to say I love you and I’m glad you’re my best friend!” she blurted out, gripping onto Jennie’s shoulder.
Now was the best time to say goodbye. There was no way they were making up that hill.
“Don’t say that! Don’t fucking say that! We're not going to die!” Jennie screamed, her face covered in tears and cuts from the broken glass.
A loud thump was heard on the trunk and Jennie’s car sputtered to a stop. She reached out to grab Jennie’s hand and they both squeezed onto each other like their lives depended on it, which it did.
Nothing was heard except for their trembling breaths and the horrible sound from the creature's body against the metal of Jennie’s car. There were so many noises coming from the hood of the car that it was hard to pinpoint exactly where this creature was. After minutes of screeching and scraping, everything fell silent. Her eyes darted side to side, hyper alert to any sudden movement. As more silence was all they could hear, they clung onto their last thread of hope that they had finally been left alone. As Jennie moved a shaking hand towards her keys to try and restart the car, a head popped down from the trunk and smiled sinisterly at them. This thing was no longer the man they saw walking amongst them earlier, but a creature with big red eyes, rows of razor sharp teeth and splotches of red and black covering its skin. In the blink of an eye, its arm broke through what was left of Jennie’s windshield and latched onto Jennie’s hand. Instinct took over and Jennie screamed the only name she knew in her darkest hours.
And just like that, Taehyung and the rest bolted down the hill. The blood in Taehyung’s body boiling when he saw a rogue werewolf attempting to pull the love of his life out of her wrecked car. All he saw was red and if reincarnation was real, he would look for this piece of shit and rip it limb to limb through all his lifetimes.
“Stop! Stop!” she felt her heart in her throat as she held onto Jennie attempting to pull her away from the creature.
She closed her eyes trying to block out the snarls and saliva flying from its mouth as it tried to wedge its body into the small opening of the cracked windshield. She hugged onto Jennie’s body and sunk into her seat trying to free her legs from the cramped leg space. The last thing she could do was go into an all out fight with this thing in order to save her best friend’s life. She managed to pull most of Jennie’s body onto her side and maneuver her body so that most of Jennie’s body was between her and the seat. In the midst of the monster trying to come through the windshield, it sliced open its arm, freeing Jennie in the process. What made her sick to her stomach was how it didn’t even care and continued its rampage to try to get to them. She made sure to hold onto Jennie tight and tuck her away as much as she could.
“Get! Away! You! Ugly! Bastard!” between each word, she kicked the creature in the face as hard as she could, the sick thing laughing each time her foot made contact with its face. One last kick was all she could muster and she was going to make sure she gave it all she could. If they were going to die, no one could say they didn’t go without a fight.
With a painful groan, she raised her foot and aimed right for the monster’s nose. To both her and Jennie’s surprise, the creature went flying onto the road. It wasn’t until she heard Jennie whisper Taehyung’s name when she saw his figure grab the monster from the road before savagely ripping it apart. This time it was Jennie trying to shield her friend from the gruesome view by covering her eyes. She flinched every time the creature howled in pain or when she heard the sound of its bones being crushed. Once all she could hear again was her breathing and Jennie’s racing heart, she slowly opened her eyes to see a bunch of men standing around what was now the creature's bloody carcass. As her breath began to steady, Taehyung snapped his neck over and she was met with the angriest glowing eyes she had ever seen. She winced and closed her eyes again.
“It’s okay, it’s just Taehyung. We’re okay now, it’s okay.” Jennie sobbed.
Both sides of the door flung open and she felt a pair of hands on her side pulling her out of the car making her latch onto Jennie once more in fear of being pulled apart.
“No! No! Stop!” she cried trying to fight against whoever was touching her.
“Hey, it's me. It’s Namjoon, it’s okay. Nothing is here to hurt you anymore.”
He slowly peeled her away from Jennie and brought her into his arms. The poor thing was trembling covered in glass and blood. She clung onto Namjoon’s t-shirt trying to scan her environment just in case they needed to run again. She looked over to see where Jennie was and finally felt a sense of security for the first time tonight when she saw Taehyung cradling her and soothing her. Jennie completely melted in his arms and allowed herself to sob in his chest because she knew she was safe.
“Jungkook, Jimin and Hoseok! Go scan the area to make sure there are none of these things left!” Namjoon barked.
Jungkook was an unfamiliar name. She wondered if he was the one who couldn’t make it to Jennie’s birthday party. She tried to figure out which one Jungkook was but it was too dark and the adrenaline made it hard for her to focus. Obeying Namjoon’s command, two figures ran past them into the woods.
“Jungkook.” Namjoon said between gritted teeth, irritated that the youngest one wasn’t listening.
She looked around to see who Namjoon was speaking to when she saw him. She knew those eyes and she knew that scar. The moment they locked eyes, they both felt a familiar surge of electricity run through their bodies. With flash of his canines followed by a snarl, Jungkook disappeared into the forest with lightning speed.
Jungkook. That was the one she saw in her driveway that fateful night.

Part five and final of Jess Reads Fierce Valor as we reached his post WWII military career, his retirement and last years of his life
Tumblr media
Notes: Please read the book and take your own conclusions if you can, this is my view and my own clonclusion from my experience reading it
okay now really not much happens, he got married for a second time, stayed in the army, got divorced again
he came to the veterans reunion in 1947 and then never showed up again until some 50 years later
he made his final combat jumps in Korea, he had like 4 which was like a LOT
btw do you guys remember Albert Blithe from the series right? Right! the guy lived after recovering from his wounds and actually served in the 187th Infantry Regiment, guess who was the company commander? thats right! our very own bald man
ok so he worked and had time studied Russian and became the governor os Spandau, at this time there was already some cold war shit going on
speaking of shit, his german was shitty (so is mine!!!) so he couldn't quite undestand the prisioners but played chess with one of them??
Ah yes got married and divorced again
trained and organized some stuff for the the Royal Lao Army and some more army duty??? but nothing interesting is said really
he was then Lieutenant Colonel and worked with the Pentagon, it says that his army duty came to an end in 1964 but his name came up in army records in 1965 at a special division, so he had some function? was he a spy? we will never know for sure
okay now he is retired, married again (the man was a machine), had some health related problems and had to do some heart surgeries, like 5 of them or even more
at this point he was really introspective over his life, then the Ambrose book came and old man was PISSED because guess what??? Ambrose didn't even bothered to actual fact check his book and Speirs felt that he did dirty to his first ex-wife and even to himself
Dick became his biggest advocate and tried so many times to reunited him to the last members of Easy but he couldn't, he even begged Speirs but remember he is a Taurus so he said no again and again
toward his late years and after the release of the book he was afraid some n30-naz1s would come after him for some kind of vengeance so he asked for his name adress and personal info to be removed so Dick was the only one who knew hot to contact him
then there was the reunion for the screening of Band of Brothers and he finally showed up after his last wife made him show up and it was really emotional, Matthew Settle just watched the real Speirs and Dick watching the first ep and then Matthew showed up on his door and asked him to sing his cast, cause he got hurt his feet somehow
oh right forgot to mention that he loved his poodles, he was really into square dance (I don't know what the hell this is don't ask me), had some weird hobbies like pan for gold on rivers??? also normal ones like playing golf and he was also a nice elderly to his grand-sons and great-grand-sons, nephews, nieces and stuff
he had really bad PTSD specially while sleeping ans even after being retired he couldn't relax while sleeping and always eat his food fast.
he wouldn't let people kill spiders, like black widow spiders because of the William Wallace story and because he served in a company that the symbol and nickname was one
also he didn't talked about his army life like AT ALL, he said it was harder for him to remember things since he spent great part of his life om the army while the other guys served like with one company and that was it, for me it's clear it was bullshit he was so hard on himself and self critical on the basic stuff he didn't so one can only imagine how he dealt with the heavy stuff
his final years he was losing his strength, already loss great part of his hearing and was so ashamed of it and was really frustrated and miserable
after his death this one person of his family took his ashes and spread somewhere in a beautiful lake near the Canadian border where he rests today, quite emotional really
Okay so overall this was such a great reading, it's really a testament to how complex, mysterious and sometimes twisted his character really was.
I loved how the authors didn't pushed any agenda or narratives, I feel like they did a good job because they didn't tried to justify any of his actions, they just wanted to bring as many facts to the table as they could so we, as readers, could come up with our own conclusions
Mine is: He was crazy indeed, he did some questionable stuff and it took it's toll on him during and after the war, but also really cared for the man on his side, he sure could be cruel, flawed, cold blooded, impetuous and a true killer, but at the same time protective, respectful, really smart and incredible skilled as a leader, so much that everyone respected him for it, some loved the man dearly, some despised and that it was what truly amazed me by
A big thank you to everyone who followed my dumb takes during this reading, it was really fun to do!!!

You know what? I don’t hate what they did with Lucerys and Aemond story line. In fact I think I even like it. Here are the 3 reasons why:
1) Fire and Blood is written like a history book. A collection of different accounts, some from people who were there, some who were not there, some of them heavily exaggerated, ALL OF THEM BIASED.
So us, the audience, know what happened because we are in the air with the two of them. The people on the ground? They just saw Vhagar nerf that little dragon out of the sky with murderous intent. So to any onlookers yeah Aemond just murdered his nephew in cold blood.
(And let’s be honest with ourselves, do we really think Aemond is going to be spreading around how guilty he is about Lucerys? He may tell his mom it was an accident, but I think that’s it. He is keeping all his emotions right here, and one day he will die. Outside of his mom and probably Haelena, everyone will call him a murderer and a kinslayer and he is going to let them. Not one word to disprove or in defense of his actions.)
2) Aemond’s regret.
This is a guys that is an amazing fighter, skilled and deadly…. He also never killed a person, especially someone he grew up with. People can talk big game about killing someone you have beef with, especially if that person is a relative, but one thing is words the other is the actual deed. He may know what death is, but it’s another can of worms being a accessary to murder.
This reminds me of Sansa’s reactions to death. When it was a death in a tourney she barely reacted. It was a tourney, that death was brushed off and they moved on. It was a spectacle, like a death in a movie scene for us. But when it was her father’s death it suddenly became all too real.
That was his nephew. He grew up with him. And eye for a life is not a worthy trade. The scales are off.
3) A Dragon is not a slave.
Have you ever road a horse? Did you know that, if the horse notices that you don’t know what you doing they will just ignore your commands? The horse I was trying to ride would not obey me for it’s life because he knew I had no power over him. I had no experience and was anxious and had barely got on the saddle because I could not grip it right and had noodles for arms at the time.
Dragons are intelligent (the intelligence of a five year old if I remember the lore correctly). A person can bond with them, train them, ride them… but if you believe they have fully control over them you never raised a pet in your life. They WILL do shit against your will, especially the smart ones.
This is something we see in the books; Daenerys has a hard time controlling her dragons, the only one she can ride is Drogon (and she has to use a whip),
in Fire and Blood (possible spoilers for future seasons) Joffrey tries to ride Syrax to save his dragon. But Syrax is not his dragon, it’s his mom’s. So, as you can imagine, it went to shit pretty fast.
I once had a dog (RIP Leo, we miss you) and he was a delightful pitbull. He would answer to my commands, he would help me with hide and seek (he would stand in front of his house as I hide inside it) he was friendly and lovable… and the “Leo don’t jump on people as a way to say Hi” command was ignored Every. Single. Time.
Kira, Leo’s mom, hated everyone that was not my Grandma, her owner, and didn’t answer to anyone except my Grandma and tried her dammest to bite our asses off. Hell even Grandma didn’t come of without some bit marks through the years.
Now I have cats and we all know that trying to command cats is a exercise in futility.
So now imagine dragons, giant dogs with fire breath and wings. Each one of them with their own personalities, each one more deadly than the other.
Arrax, a young dragon, in a panic, tried to attack Vhagar.
Vhagar, an older, battle hardened dragon, retaliated.
The scales, as a said before, are off.
It’s like watching a baby kitten try to attack a old tigger and the tigger retaliating by biting.
Because of sheer size, the tiger bites the kitty’s head off.
This show is a tragedy. And the bread and butter of any tragedy are the “If onlys”
And now, as the Dance unravels around him, Aemond will have to live with his.
“If only I hadn’t gone after him…”

(moodboard by me)
Someone once said “the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry” you can’t remember who said it exactly or what mice have to do with anything but you more than understand plans going awry.
It had been almost three weeks since you’d learnt about the inter dimensional hellscape known as thr “Upside Down” that mirrored Hawkins. Almost three weeks since facing off against monsters with D&D names.
Since you’d learnt that Eddie’s non stop playing of the new Metallica track had been him learning to play it, in what could only be described as “the most metal concert, ever”.
Of course the concert was short lived and both you and Dustin Henderson had been the ones to find Eddie after his ‘heroic moment’ of drawing the bats away from the trailer, in that moment you had honestly thought you’d lose Eddie forever. That this would be it. Thank God for Steve Harrington and his lifeguard training. You’d never been happier to see the other boy in your life.
You’d all ended up in the hospital after that with various cuts and scrapes, Nancy insisted someone check Steve over as her Upside Down first aid could only do so much, you and Robin had to drag Dustin kicking and screaming to have his foot looked at, he’d refused treatment until he knew Eddie was going to be ok.
You’d say with him as the doctors looked at the boys foot and your shoulder, you’d both sustained your injuries jumping back into the trailer after Eddie but told the doctors it had been the earth quakes. Easiest thing to blame it on really. One severely sprained ankle and dislocated shoulder later it was time to talk to the police.
Nancy to her credit had already been running interference and Robin had called Wayne to let him know what was going on. The staff at the hospital refused to let Chief Powell and his men restrain Eddie to the bed, claiming it would only aggravate his wounds even more.
It took three days for Eddie to wake up and that’s when the shady looking guys from the ‘government’ stepped in. Everyone else seemed to know them and assured both you and Eddie that things would be ok. Just sign the NDA, take the hush money and don’t talk about what happened  to anyone outside the group. Ever.
The government guys made up a story about an escaped serial killer Henry Creel and how he’d kidnapped eddie and was planning on framing him for the murders like he’d framed his father all those years ago. They insisted Eddie was a victim as much as anyone else had been, that he had tried to protect Chrissy and that’s when Creel had kidnapped him.
Apparently in all the chaos Chief Hopper had come back, he hadn’t died in the Starcourt Fire after all but ended up in a Russian prison fighting other monsters with D&D names. Nancy promised to explain the whole thing to you from the start. Hopper had backed up the government's story and that was that apparently. Eddie was a free man. You and Wayne could take him home.
⊱ ────── {.⋅ ♫ ⋅.} ───── ⊰
You were sitting in your trailer and looking at the concert tickets in your hand. You and Eddie had scrimped and saved and sold for months to save up for these. They were the holy grail, Metallica in concert within driving distance of Hawkins. Indy was an hour and a half away and ordinarily that was nothing, this time around however with Eddie still having to change his dressings every few days and your shoulder still needing pain medication when it would flare up neither of you were exactly in the best shape,
"What am I gonna do Wayne? You know he had his heart set on this" you asked the older man, he'd taken some time off work to help look after Eddie, "but, is he really in the state to go?"
"I dunno much about that whole scene but maybe if you could make sure nobody jostled him too much?"
"Yeah no that's not likely" you had memories of coming back from gigs and being covered in bruises just from being on the outside of the pit never mind being in the pit itself, which Eddie would absolutely want to do.
The High School had given Eddie his GED which he counted as graduating, even if he didn't get to walk the stage or flip the principal off and the show was now a special graduation/survival thing and it would absolutely break Eddie's heart if you couldn't go.
You were really gonna need to think this one through.
⊱ ────── {.⋅ ♫ ⋅.} ───── ⊰
The closer it got to the date of the show the more animated Eddie became. Blasting his Metallica tapes at all hours of the day, speculating on what they'd play, how long they'd play for, if there would be any encore.
You had an appointment a few days before hand with Dr Owens, the government's Upside Down specialist and you planned to ask him what he thought,
"Well I suppose if you were able to get to a place where you wouldn't be jostled around too much" he'd said, "aren't there seats at this rock show?"
"I mean yeah but our tickets are standing, we wanted to be as close to the stage as possible"
"Hmm well that is a problem"
"What's a problem?" Eddie asked, he'd been off with a nurse for some tests and you'd thought you'd have more time to talk to Dr Owens,
"We'll talk about it at home. Thanks Doc, see you soon"
You tried to walk out of the hospital without looking back at Eddie who was following after you. You knew if you looked back he'd have a confused and probably hurt look on his face, you'd gone behind his back about something and that's something you never did.
It wasn't until you'd gotten back into Wayne's truck, it was less conspicuous than the van, and Eddie took the keys from the ignition so you'd have no choice but to talk to him,
"Eddie, I know you've had your heart set on this gig but I don't think it's a good idea. Not when you're still healing"
"Baby, I know you're worried about me but you can't keep me from everything. You know I can be careful and I promise you I'll stay out of the pit, we'll find a spot away from the main crowd, I'll do anything you want, just please don't take this away from me"
You looked at Eddie's face and you could see how much this meant to him. With everything you both went through over the last few weeks, could you really deny him something?
"Ok. Yeah. We'll figure it out"
⊱ ────── {.⋅ ♫ ⋅.} ───── ⊰
You weren't sure how you were going to do this. Wayne had offered to drive you both to Indy and back, he would figure something out to fill his time during the show and he'd call the payphone outside the arena after two hours figuring that would probably be about the right time. There were a few things he could spend his time doing.
So you loaded up the truck and started on your way. Eddie of course bringing all his tapes with him to play during the journey, Wayne lasted about forty five minutes before he couldn't listen to Metallica, Dio or Sabbath anymore and switched over to a local country station. Which wasn't terrible, it wasn't great either but Wayne was the one driving so you weren't about to complain about the music.
The station faded out the further out you got from Hawkins and you'd all compromised on a rock station broadcasting from the city which played a little of everything to keep everyone happy. Metal was after all an acquired taste and Wayne did not acquire it, no matter how long Eddie had lived with him.
The closer you got to the arena once you hit the city the more people in leather and battle jackets you saw, teased hair, heavy makeup, spikes everywhere. These were your people, you didn't get this kind of community in Hawkins and being amongst similar minded people was always a rare treat.
Wayne dropped you both off and you headed towards the gates, Eddie practically vibrating with excitement. You'd both joined the queue and quickly struck up conversations with others in the line, sharing stories about where you were all from, what your favourite songs were, there was a sense of electricity in the air that you only found in situations like this. It was a welcome change from dread and despair.
⊱ ────── {.⋅ ♫ ⋅.} ───── ⊰
The arena was packed. People were everywhere, buying merch, drinks, gathering in groups and talking excitedly. As you and Eddie moved through the crowd you were able to find a spot left of the main stage where you'd probably be safe from the worst of the undulating swarm of metalheads. As the support act started, a small local band that had made good and were selling their record at the merch table, the crowd kicked off. You felt someone knock against your shoulder and winced, it wasn't too bad so you were still more or less content with the spot you'd chosen.
However, that was just the support act. Things really kicked off when Metallica took the stage, people were screaming, cheering, it was an absolute mob and suddenly your safe spot wasn't as safe as it had been. You scanned the crowd, looking for a gap, somewhere you and Eddie could move to and that's when you spotted the guy at the side of the stage talking to some girls.
You made your decision there and then. You grabbed Eddie's hand and dragged him after you, as the two girls who had been standing there moments ago moved away with sad expressions you took their place,
"Hey, you've got backstage passes?" you yelled to be heard over the noise of the band and the crowd,
"Yeah honey I'll get you backstage, you want one for your boyfriend there too?" the guy asked, with a lazy sly smile
"Can you give me two?"
"Sure can honey, if you can do something for me"
You didn't wait for the guy to ask and immediately dropped Eddie's hand to use both so you could lift up your shirt and bra exposing yourself to the guy. You left your shirt up for a minute or so and then dropped it again,
"Is that worth one or two?"
The guy didn't even respond, just handed you the two passes and stepped aside. You grabbed Eddie's hand again and pulled him behind you,
"That was insane!" he yelled, "I can't believe you just flashed that guy!"
"We'll be safer back here, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need my sling again for a few days after that" you laughed rubbing your shoulder.
Eddie didn't have the capacity to reply as a familiar opening riff began on stage and his attention was pulled there,
"Oh my god I can't believe they're playing it!" Eddie yelled, he pulled you closer to the stage as Master of Puppets continued playing. Eddie mirrored the band as he banged his head along with the music, you'd been worried about this show for weeks and how you and Eddie were going to manage but it really seemed as though everything had worked out.
True you'd shown a strange man your breasts but Eddie now had a chance to meet his idols. So you were counting it as a win and you both really needed a win.
Fuck Vecna. Fuck the Upside Down. You lived.

[Csm oc] Hina and Mayura
Tumblr media
A while back my friend Ash sent me an ask where i rambled about what these two would be doing during the main story of csm. Recently i read part 1 again to really organize my thoughts on this, so here's fhe full rundown of Hina and Mayura's participation during the public safety saga!
Eternity devil arc
-Mentioned during the welcoming party at the end of the arc. Fushi tells Aki he didn't bring his fiend to the party he comments how it must be nice to have one as intelligent as his or Akiyama's, which prompts that brown haired girl to ask if the two are coming, to which Aki replies that Hina refused since she doesn't drink. Another guy on the table adds that "Himeno must have scared her off".
Katana man arc
-Mentioned as having survived the attack on the 4th division when Aki asks Denji who else is still alive upon waking up in the hospital, when recalling the facts Denji refers to them as "Some blondie with a fiend".
-In the climax of the arc Hina is put to keep an eye on and coordinate the non-human members, Mayura, Beam, Cherry, Galgali, Princi and Angel, during the fight against the zombies. Also serving as a first measure in case any of the devils/fiends tries to escape into the city.
-Mayura and Beam are competing to see who can kill more zombies, she bites Galgali during the excitement and gets punched by him in retaliation.
-Hina spots Angel talking to Aki and approaches them, as Angel takes the terrorist outside she talks to Aki before he proceeds to fight Akane. Hina tells him she's heard he made a contract with the future devil, she tells Aki that while it may not seem like much those powers can be incredibly useful if you know how to use it efficiently.
Bomb girl arc
-Mayura and Hina are watching the sparring matches at the 2nd division training facility, Mayura cheers for whoever is winning.
-She asks Hina if she remembers when they would spar in the woods and the two reminisce about their time before joining public safety, with Mayura suggesting they should spar again for old time's sake.
-Later the girls catch up with Aki and Devil in the hallways, after their conversation about Aki being dead 2 years from now. Hina compliments Aki's performance on the spar matches and asks him if he also likes coming back to the training facility to reminisce about the time working there.
-This leads to Aki asking her why she left the 2nd division to which Hina explains it was for Mayura. She tells him how the two have known each other from before becoming devil hunters, how their contract was made as a way for Mayura to help her even if they're apart, and how she became a fiend so that they could be together again. Hina feels that joining division 4 so they could become partners was the least she could do after Mayura gave up being the wolf devil just for her.
-She asks Aki his reasons for leaving the 2nd division but before he can answer they are interrupted by Nomo telling them about Beam and Denji's arrival.
-As Reze approaches the facility Mayura runs up to the gate, she quickly growls and turns to Nomo saying that the girl in front of them reeks of devil scent.
-Hina and Mayura enter the car with Aki, Angel, Beam and Denji and drive off with them as the other devil hunters fight against Reze. When Aki tells the others to give Denji blood Hina promptly offers to do so, saying that she's used to doing this when Mayura needs it during missions. She rolls back one of her sleeves revealing her arm to be riddled with scars as she opens a new cut using her sword.Mayura proudly tells Denji that this will be the best blood he'll ever taste.
-As Reze begins catching up with the car Mayura transforms into battle form and opens a hole in the car ceiling for her and Hina to jump out of and attack Reze. Hina uses the future devil's powers to see when Reze will explode and react accordingly by dodging her attacks or using her swords + the wolf devil's powers to launch Reze far back so that she's out of explosion range. Mayura does something similar using her howls and roars, they're essentially trying to push Reze back for as long as they can to give Denji time to recover, though Hina attacks more offensively as she wants to kill the bomb herself.
-Denji arrives in the scene quickly followed by Aki and the others. As the Typhoon devil shows up and the fight between them and Reze against Beam and Denji starts, Mayura is able to resist being blasted back by the strength of the typhoon and explosions by sinking her claws and teeth into the ground. Hina clings to her as she expresses discontent over not being able to continue fighting.
International assassins arc
-Hina and Mayura are assigned to be a part of Denji's protection team during the threat of the international assassins.
-At the park while Denji argues with Kusakabe over the food that fell on the floor, Mayura groans at the sight. She tells Hina how she misses working on smaller missions where it was just the two of them, Hina says she doesn't like working in large groups either but if they manage to detain/kill at least one of the assassins that will surely be a big feat on her name and it will make it all worth it. Mayura uh-huhs in response but seems worried over the prospect of fighting trained assassin's from all over the world.
-When the group leaves the burger restaurant Hina approaches Denji stating he's got quite the name for himself already and proceeds to ask how he feels about it, He says this whole thing is just delaying his vacation with Makima and Hina is disappointed in his response. She tells him to think about it in the grand scheme of things, Denji has now become something bigger than himself, a figure that will be talked about and remembered for years to come. A status that Hina wishes to achieve someday.
-The group meets up with Kobeni, Galgali and the fake Kurose. Mayura follows Power as she enters Kobeni's car, Mayura says that Power is lying and can't drive while Power insists that the car is hers and that she can, Kobeni is caught in the middle of the fiend's argument.
-Power rams the car into Denji and the imposter, the initial silence of the event is broken by Mayura's laugh as she boasts about being right that Power can't drive for shit. She proceeds to get angry at Powers again when she starts bragging that she saw through the disguise and intentionally ran over the guy.
-When the squad gets attacked by the dolls in the department store Mayura stays behind as the others go up to the second floor, she transforms and uses the synchronized howling with her 3 wolf heads to push the dolls back, keeping most of them from getting closer to the group.
-Quanxi speeds up the building and all of Mayura's heads get sliced off alongside the dolls and hunters. She falls on the floor, tail still intact, meaning she was not killed instantly and is instead in the process of bleeding out on the floor. (Mayura's tail works the same as one of her heads)
-Once Quanxi reaches the group Aki, Angel and Hina are able to block her attacks but get knocked to the floor.
-As Quanxi goes to stab Yoshida Hina swipes at the knife with her sword, knocking it off Quanxi's hand. She gets into a fighting position but before Quanxi attacks the conflict is interrupted by Kishibe holding Pingtsi and Long hostage.
-When the fight starts again, After Kishibe and Aldo are thrown out the window, Hina fights Quanxi. She applies a similar strategy to when she fought Reze, however Quanxi is much stronger so the attacks from her contract with Mayura are not enough to launch her far, at most they can block her attacks if Hina reacts with enough speed and precision. She is able to hold off against her at the start but the more Quanxi hits her the more disoriented Hina gets, opening holes on her defense and making her get progressively more beaten up. The injured hunter leans against a wall, using it to try getting up again, when Quanxi kicks her out of the window.
-While this was happening Mayura used the remaining of her strength to revert into her base form. This stops the bleeding but she is incredibly weakened and tired from all the blood she's lost, she climbs up the stairs and reaches the second floor in time to see Hina be thrown off the building. She runs over to the broken window and freezes upon the sight of Hina's unconscious body lying over the wreckage of Kobeni's car.
-She snaps back into reality as she sees the dolls approach Hina. Mayura grabs the knife from the floor and jumps down, killing the dolls and proceeding to hold Hina as she yells her name trying to get any response from her partner.
-Being outside the department store neither of them are brought to hell, Mayura watches in horror as the Hell devil abducts everyone in the building.
-Carrying Hina in her arms Mayura runs past Kishibe and Yoshida, overhearing their conversation about Makima in the process.
Gun devil arc
-Aki says Hina is hospitalized and Mayura is on the run when he states the fates of the people who were involved in the previous mission to Denji.
-Mayura has been hiding from public safety because she didn't want to be assigned another partner and go on missions while Hina is at the hospital, the time not spent hiding is spent going around the hospital and killing any rats and birds around the area.
-With Hina recovering well the topic of being dispatched from the hospital arises, she tells Mayura she hopes to be dispatched in time to fight the gun devil and assures her partner that she's sure Makima would let her back in if they explain things to her, Mayura says she doesn't want any of them to go back to the bureau.
-She tells Hina the events of the last mission were the first time she felt truly afraid and that if they go against the Gun devil neither of them will survive, she knows that Hina fears dying more than anything and begs her to quit the division. A progressively distressed Hina tells her that she can do it, she needs to do it, she has to be there, otherwise once she does die nobody will remember her. Tears roll down her face as Hina struggles to utter that she doesn't want to die as a nobody bound to be forgotten.
-Mayura calls Hina a liar and bursts out that she will remember her. She'll find a way to do so no matter how much time has passed or how many iterations she has gone through, Hina will be remembered by the wolf devil until the end of times.
-But she can't handle losing her now, not when she's finally living her dream of having someone by her side. Mayura hugs Hina as she tells her that she needs to live for as long as possible, Hina hugs her back as she starts to calm down.

Picking Up/Carrying S/O
Ashton 💙
Okay so remember my Dorian princess carry headcanons?
Yeah? Forget about the blue bard boi gentleman for a sec. We got Bell's Hells smashing (smashing both in the literal and charming sense) barbarian here to parade you around now.
So it started off innocently enough. One job you and Bell's Hells were on led you to the top floor of some fancy smancy estate, which happened to have stained glass windows at every wall of the room.
Long story short, there was enough stomping around the bad guy's upstairs study that the guards posted outside could hear you all. Soon enough there was knocking and insistent yelling on the other side of the door and there wasn't an alternative escape route anywhere despite everyone pulling at tomes on the bookshelf for a secret passage.
So the party decided to kick in the floor-to-ceiling glass window behind the desk and simply use the garden shrubs below to cushion the fall. Ashton went first, happily volunteering to catch everyone who hopped down after him before ushering them to a hiding spot. You were the last to jump, and despite the nauseating height, you knew you could trust your partner with your life.
A small oof left you when you collided with them, safe and unharmed but clinging onto their body like a vice for a moment, closely listening to the commotion within the manor. Once it had calmed down, you patted Ashton's chest and reminded him he had yet to place you back on the ground.
But he didn't follow your request. He scowled and adjusted you in their arms so you were slung over their shoulder instead of bridal style, and started casually sauntering back over to the rest of the party.
"Are you kidding me right now? No way I'm letting you walk on the broken glass out here. It's fucking everywhere."
Cue Chetney wondering aloud if there's any extra room in Ashton's arms for a small one (ie. Chetney)
"Ha. Good one, Chet. Now kindly fuck off."
Picks you up when you're falling asleep at the dinner table after a long day's work, murmuring your name when you startle as he hooks his arms under your knees and around your back. He tries to be gentle and stable when he takes on the inn's staircase and eventually lays you down on the bed.
I've mentioned this in a couple posts, but they definitely would set you on their shoulders as if you're at a concert, and also give piggyback rides just for the sake of having you pressed up against and close to him.
Bonus points because it's great when pissing somebody off: Ashton's smart mouth and cocky grin, you're flipping the offending person off while your chin is perched on the genasi's shoulder, a smug smile on your own face.
The type of guy to use you as as bench press too ngl. It's a rarer occurence because, I mean have you seen Ashton? Does a barbarian of their quality really need more training? No. Also when does Bell's Hells ever get a chance to workout? Smh. But it boosts their ego when they effortlessly lift you up and lower you, making you squeal and laugh. Ashton doesn't break a sweat, no matter how big or small you may me.

David Farland’s Writing Tips: “Mental Toughness”
Tumblr media
As writers, we’re faced with lots of different types of stresses. It’s not always just searching for the right word in a description or trying to meet a story deadline.
While working on novels, I’ve had to deal with just about everything. For example, I was once deep in writing a great scene when my house caught on fire once. I had to totally neglect my work while I went to call the fire department and try to figure out where my five-year-old arsonist son was hiding (in his bedroom closet).
I’ve been working when I discovered that a business partner had stolen my life savings, when a Russian mobster called and tried to muscle in on a movie deal, and when a doctor phoned to tell me that my mother was terminally ill.
Most writers, when they get stressed, will freeze up. They’ll focus on their stress rather than their work because that’s what millions of years of evolution has demanded we do. When a bear charges, you have to respond.
Most of us cope with stress by looking for ways to lessen or remove the stress. For example, when the fire struck, I dealt with the problem and completely removed the stress. It took a couple of days, but we got past it. Very often, there are exercises that you can do to reduce your stress. For example, sometimes I find that putting on a little mood music or listening to the sounds of a forest can help get me in a writing mood. Just sitting in my writing chair is part of my routine. Pre-imagining a scene also helps. In fact, very often the proper response to stress is to work harder.
This is almost always true with economic stress. Do you have bills to pay? Covid got you worried? Then apply your butt to your chair and get to work. Ideally, as a writer, you’d be able to compartmentalize your problems and keep working under duress, just about any duress. If I’m working on a scene and my wife says, “There’s a leak in the roof!” I probably don’t need to jump up and fix it. It hardly ever rains where I live, so I’ll call our roofer and get it handled when I’m ready. But some stresses can’t be lessened or removed or acted on later. I never was able to save my mother. I imagine that it’s like being a boxer in a fight. Sometimes life throws something at you, and you just have to take a blow.
Perhaps I admire commandoes—those guys who jump out of airplanes, land in enemy territory with a specific mission. Their job is to get things done. As a writer, I find myself wondering what it would take to develop that kind of mental toughness. In fact, I was talking to Forrest Wolverton recently about an Army Ranger who trained other rangers. He taught them classes in mental toughness, in confronting problems before they appear.
I realized that writers often need that kind of training, too, and asked him to begin developing a class on mental toughness for writers. We need to prepare ourselves to write on the bad days as well as the good—to stay up and be exhausted when we need to hit a deadline, or to deal with a tragic loss and still balance our workload.
Part of that, I’m sure, is nurturing the right kind of attitude. It’s conditioning. As a young man, I used to work as a prison guard. After just a few weeks on the job, we had a situation where I was working in the kitchen, supervising the inmates on the chow line, when one inmate began stabbing another in front of perhaps a hundred witnesses. For a moment, I froze in surprise, wondering what to do. The killer in this case had a very big knife and he was stabbing his victim quickly, plunging it down over and over as fast as he could. While I stood wondering how to respond, the guard next to me leapt over a steam table that was perhaps four-feet high and six-feet wide, rushed across the room, and tackled the killer. Afterward, I wondered, “How can I become the one who runs into trouble instead of hesitates?” The answer was simple: you just make it a life choice. You remember who it is you want to be.
Since then, I’ve come across auto accidents and similar situations a couple of times, and my response has been to confront the problem, to run toward danger rather than from it. I think that as authors, we need to do the same. We need to decide now that when we’re faced with some major obstacle, we won’t whine about it, won’t apologize, won’t cower away from it. We’ll just calmly face it. I think we can calmly let the stress wash over us, pass through it, and accomplish our mission

AITA for having a one-night stand/cheating on my husband/messing up confessing it to my husband?
Hi! So my (24F) dad (50M) recently (as in: *very* recently) sent in an AITA about killing the guy I had a one-night stand with (it’s titled “AITA for killing the guy my daughter was having an affair with/handling this situation poorly?”, I’ll try to add a link), so I thought I would write in because well, I was there and I have my own problems.
So additional backstory/information:
Yes, my husband (28M) is a clergyman. HOWEVER, I didn’t know that when I met him. We met a couple years ago when his boat wrecked and washed up outside our village and I rescued him. He was running from the police (because like. our country didn’t like Protestants for a bit. don’t ask.) and stayed with us under a false name, only revealing his true name and occupation around the time we got married.
And then he got called away to go abroad for several months for work and didn’t take me with him. I really don’t know why he didn’t, but. He just straight-up didn’t take me. I *could* have gone with him. It’s not like I had anything on my calendar. But he didn’t take me.
(Also, before he left my cousins [33M, who’s also my ex-fiancé, don’t ask; and 25F] came to stay with us, as did The Guy [27M].)
So I was left with three houseguests, one overbearing dad, one church congregation that’s basically just the population of the village, no husband, and pretty much nothing to do. And also my husband didn’t write very often.
So The Guy started acting really weird and trying to flirt with me, but I was having absolutely none of it at first. But as weeks and months went by, pretty much complete silence. I acknowledge in retrospect that there may have been mail issues or sabotage or whatever, but at this point I wasn’t getting ANYTHING from my husband. I love him dearly but I was really starting to resent all this and I felt like I was less important to him than his work was.
And The Guy took advantage of this. Not like That, but there was definitely some emotional manipulation going on and I know I should’ve recognized it then and I do now, but yeah, to kinda quote my dad: long story short, one thing led to another and we did indeed end up having a one-night stand. The morning after, he fled my bedroom at dawn, taking with him a bunch of letters and my wedding ring, and jumped into the river by our house. He survived that, obviously.
But I was consumed with guilt and regret basically from the moment it happened and became so sick from it that I was bedridden for several days. The Guy (who’s trained as a doctor, I don’t think my dad mentioned that) tried to come “treat me” several times, but I refused to let him in every time.
Anyway, eight days after The Incident, my husband returned home (and yes, it was also our wedding anniversary the day he came home, which just makes all this worse). So it turns out my husband totally heard the whole story about The Guy’s escape from a boatman who happened to witness it and also gave the letters he dropped to my husband, but my husband is (was?) a big believer in the power of unconditional forgiveness and burned the papers rather than reveal who was involved.
And then after everyone welcomed him home, we had some time alone. And it was…hard. Especially because he spent a lot of time talking about how while he was abroad he witnessed a lot of women cheating on their husbands and one of the things that kept him going was that he remembered me and that I wasn’t like that. Oops. So I asked him if he would forgive me if I did something like that and he said no. And then I got upset, and then he saw that my wedding ring was missing and demanded to know where it went. And well, I was too flustered and couldn’t really tell him so he got really upset.
Well, this is starting to get really long so I’m just gonna say that my dad, complicated feelings I may have about him, honestly summed most of it up pretty well (except, Dad, you were going to KILL YOURSELF??? REALLY??? AFTER YOU TOLD ME I HAD TO SUFFER AND BEAR IT???), so I’m just going to add a few bullet points:
-Yes, I did decide to write a letter telling my husband everything and yes, my dad DID tell me to destroy it because if I confessed what happened, our family would be disgraced and my husband would kill himself.
-The Guy kept trying to get me to sleep with him again. (The “homecoming party dumbass” incident involved him trying to smuggle a letter arranging a meeting with me inside a book to which we both had keys. And then when that didn’t work he FOLLOWED ME TO MY MOM’S GRAVE WHILE I WAS HAVING A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. I told him to give me back my stuff and then leave forever. He said no.)
-Yes, I did confess everything to my husband. No, I did not know my dad had already accidentally revealed everything. Yes, my husband did try to kill The Guy after he refused a duel challenge. No, he did not actually kill him.
-Although my husband DID also say he was never going to forgive me and and cursed me or something, but in his defense he was kind of losing it at the moment and he passed out shortly thereafter.
-Yes, my husband did offer me a divorce. Yes, I initially refused because I do still love him and I absolutely did NOT want to marry The Guy. I did eventually accept, however, only because 19th century marriage rules are weird and say that my husband doesn’t have to listen to me. But if we’re not married, he *has* to listen to me because he’s a clergyman and I’m technically a member of the congregation. So I accepted the divorce only to be able to tell him my full side of the story and to tell him the truth: in spite of everything, I still love him truly.
-Yes, I am absolutely horrified that my father murdered him. Am I mad? Yes. Am I going to hold it against him? No. This is a shitty situation for everyone, and it’s by and large my fault.
So yeah—I am well aware that I am the asshole, or at least one of several assholes. My coming here is less about that and more about a) presenting my side of the story and b) asking a related question that doesn’t have its own subreddit before we have a whole meeting/service about it: is there any chance I have of being forgiven, by God and/or by my husband?
So: AITA, WIBF (will I be forgiven), thanks in advance, and God bless!

Keeper Summer Week #10
Second Deleted Scene from Lodestar
This scene used to be part of the sequence set at Dex's house, but it felt like it was slowing the story's momentum too much, and nothing all that significant was happening or being revealed. So once again, I had to chop something I liked to keep the pacing tighter.
—Shannon
“Wow, just noticed the sky," Biana whispered as they all stared through the glass dome at the swirling streaks of green and pink.
"Is that the aurora borealis?" Sophie asked. "Or another one of your holograms, Dex?"
"That's the real deal," he said. "I actually tried adding a northern-lights setting to my gadget, but everything looked fake."
"I'm sure it was better than you thought," Biana told him. "Though this really is beautiful. I know it's probably a huge betrayal to the Vacker name to admit this, but I think this is prettier than the Celestial Festival."
Fitz and Biana's very distant relative—Orem Vacker—was a Flasher, and he was famous for creating a light spectacle whenever there was a total eclipse.
"This is calmer," Fitz said. "Plus, it's kinda cool knowing there's no one controlling it. It's just…nature. Feels like a good thing to remember, you know? As powerful as we are, as many crazy things as we can do, there's so much that's way bigger than us."
Biana laughed. "Look who's getting all deep and philosophical while cuddling with his sparkly red dragon."
"Hey, don't knock it till you try it," Fitz told her, hugging Mr. Snuggles tighter. "Besides, I think it's useful to remember that we're not as important as we sometimes think we are. It's…Never mind, I don't know how to explain it."
"I do," Sophie jumped in. "It's good to remember that we're not the epitome of everything, because it puts it all in perspective. Especially with how huge our problems feel sometimes."
"Exactly," Fitz said. "Maybe the whole world isn't resting on our shoulders. Only a part of it is. Sometimes I think we forget that. Like with the alicorns. All that stress and hassle we went through trying to shelter them in the Sanctuary, when the better idea was to let Silveny and Greyfell take care of themselves."
"So ... what? We just let the Neverseen do whatever they want?" Dex asked.
"Of course not," Fitz said. "But sometimes I wonder if the Council's problem is that they keep trying to control everything. Their attention gets so divided that they miss a bunch of huge stuff."
"Like when they focused on finding the Black Swan instead of going after the Neverseen," Sophie suggested.
"Or all the focus on abilities, and forgetting to train us in our skills," Fitz added.
Biana snickered. "Look—now they're basically finishing each other's sentences. They really are Fitzphie, aren't they?" she asked Dex.
"It's Sophitz," Fitz corrected. "And hey, you guys are starting to turn into…Actually, what would we call you? Bianex? Dexiana?"
"How about Vackizznee?" Biana suggested. "Or Dizzker?"
"Dizzker?" Sophie repeated.
"It could work," Biana insisted.

Top 5 Worst Days for Turlough
Okay maybe I'm as bored as I implied in the last post but this isn't a top five you're gonna find anywhere else.
Basically, here are five stories where very bad things happen to Turlough from least bad to most bad. Obviously, these are my perceptions and other people might not be put this in the same order. Also, I haven't seen everything, so I might miss something big and just not know.
Also, this turned out really fucking long because I just had to rant about number 1.
Number 5: Loups-Garoux (Big Finish Audio from 2001, written by Marc Platt)
I'm only putting this one at the bottom because Loups-Garoux is mostly a comedic story and Turlough seems to recover fine. He sees a vision of his dark side so terrifying he jumps out of a moving train and gets eaten by a werewolf, who spits him out because he has silver on him. Unlike in many of these examples, the Doctor seems a bit upset about this. But, this almost feels like business as usual.
Number 4: Trap for Fools (Big Finish Short Trip from 2018, written by Stephen Fewell)
Okay, this one might be a bit of a me thing. I can get a bit overly sensitive about the subject of mean teachers. In order to find and defeat the Monster of the Week, the Doctor has Turlough go undercover as a student at Space Brendon, basically. The Doctor seems completely oblivious to Turlough's misery and doesn't do much to help him through reliving experiences he was willing to kill to escape. This is another one that's mostly played for laughs, with most of the Horrors Turlough faces being mild bullying and a teacher pronouncing his name wrong on purpose to be a dick, but Turlough is actually intimidated by the mean teacher and mentally categorizes the other students by how much of a threat they might be and is just generally miserable the entire time.
Really, there's one bit that made me decide that this belonged on the list because it's really sad:
Tumblr media
Someone please hug him.
Number 3: The Velvet Dark (Short Trip: Farewells from 2006, written by Stewart Sheargold)
The Master shoots Turlough with the TCE, making the Doctor think he'd just casually murdered him, only to reveal that he shrunk Turlough without killing him to make him a more manageable hostage. The Master places him in a box and shakes the box around when the Doctor hesitates in cooperating with him.
This story starts with the Master faking his death and the Doctor, Tegan, and Turlough attending his funeral. Tegan doesn't get why the Doctor is sad that the guy who killed her aunt is dead now. Turlough also doesn't get it, but he doesn't have as much of a personal reason to hate the Master, so he tries to be patient and Tegan seems kind of jealous that the Doctor listens to him more than her.
After being returned to his proper size, Turlough hates the Master just as much as Tegan does. The Doctor, apparently unable to truly hate the Master, kind of treats them both like the bad guys in this.
Number 2: Frontios (TV Serial from 1984, written by Christopher H. Bidmead)
An actual TV story! Tractators. Trion, at some point in the planet's history, was attacked by this story's Monster of the Week and now all Trions, regardless of when they were born, remember the Tractators on some level. It's never explained how this actually works, but Turlough personally had probably never heard of the Tractators until he saw a tunnel and a massacre just showed up in his brain. The Doctor awkwardly hands him off to the one-shots to go explore the tunnels, not knowing what to do about all this emotional stuff.
You'll notice that the Doctor's response to whatever happens to Turlough is a major factor in how I rank these.
Anyway...
Number 1: The King of Terror (Past Doctor Adventure novel from 2000, written by Keith Topping)
It isn't even close. The novels of the Wilderness Years (1990-2004) were aimed at an adult audience and there were very few limits on what sort of situations the Doctor and his companions could end up in. So, sometimes, shit got dark. I usually tend to find these morbidly funny, because saying things like "The Doctor and Dodo meet the Marquis de Sade" and "Doctor Who's Cannibal Holocaust" is fun. It just is. Shut up.
These books vary in quality. Some actually do interesting things with their darker subject matter while others are just sort of edgy for the sake of it. The King of Terror is in the latter category and is annoying as hell about it. I could go into way more detail about every stupid thing that happens in this book, but the Turlough stuff is the most interesting stupid thing, because of how fucked up it is.
So, Turlough, feeling a bit OOC on a trip to Los Angeles in 1999, goes to a bar, gets completely wasted, and chats up local girls trying to get laid. Then one woman stands out as hypnotically sexy, introduces herself as Eva, and invites Turlough back to her place to have sex. Turlough is too drunk to notice that this is moving a bit fast.
Anyway, Eva is actually a member of an alien species called the Jex who are trying to take over the world. They want to terraform Earth to be more like their homeworld, which has a hotter, thicker atmosphere, but their human slaves wouldn't be able to do hard labor in those conditions, so they want to genetically modify the humans to have higher heat resistance, among other things. There's something wrong with Jex DNA, so they need the DNA of some other alien with higher heat resistance.
The CIA, wanting to see where this is all going, tipped the Jex off that some aliens had just showed up in LA and Eva went out to kidnap one. Turlough then spends like half the book being experimented on to both confirm that he's an alien and that he's the right type of alien.
It's a lot of torture. I'm not even going to say any of what happens. Here's one screenshot of Turlough reflecting on all the torture happening to him that is vague but sums up why I'm not going to elaborate:
(Note: There actually is a reference to something specific in here and I apologize in advance)
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the Doctor and Tegan find out that Turlough's missing. Tegan seems to think that they should do something about this, while the Doctor comments jokingly on how often Turlough gets captured. He eventually gives Tegan the day off to take her mind of things, leading to a really stupid romance subplot, while he does absolutely nothing to find Turlough.
Turlough eventually very brutally murders Eva in an understandable lapse of sanity and escapes. The Doctor isn't even there when he gets back and they reunite "offscreen". From that point on, the whole subplot is basically dropped. The Doctor asks Turlough if he's okay, he lies and says he is, the Doctor knows it's a lie, but he's glad for a chance to act like it never happened.
So, it really sucks to be Turlough and I'm now exhausted.

vampire kid backstories please!!! i love ur vamp au and wanna know more :]
(also maybe where flippa comes in cuz shes my fav 👉👈)
aaa thank you so glad you like it so far!! I'm gonna talk about juanaflippa in the next ask I answer bc the next ask actually ties into what's going on with her, so I'll just use this one to talk about the rest of the kids who are present at the start of the story
so to start off, we'll contrast Chayanne's story of Missa saving his life with how Bobby ended up with Jaiden and Roier. again, remember that Jaiden and Roier are both very young vampires and as a result don't make the best decisions. one day the two of them were hanging out in a coffee shop or something when this kid wandered up to them and just went "whoa you're vampires!" with 100% seriousness. bc they are both dumbasses they sucked at playing it cool and the kid only became more convinced as both Jaiden and Roier rambled trying to say they weren't. eventually they both gave in and swore the kid to secrecy, and he agreed only if they would both tell him what it was like to be a vampire. Bobby happened to live near them, so over the next month or so he kept popping up at random trying to hang out with the duo asking them all sorts of questions about vampires. Eventually they figured out the reason this kid had basically zero parental guidance was bc he didn't have a great home life, so when Bobby asked if they could turn him into a vampire Roier wanted to do it while Jaiden cheered him on in the background because Jaiden loves to enable Roier and vice versa. after all, they both had grown really fond of Bobby at this point, and his family was shit and he wanted this so why not? well there were a lot of reasons why not but Roier turned him anyway, and yeah they did just kind of end up kidnapping him. good job guys. Bobby seems pretty happy at least.
I'll put the others under the cut!
Leo has a very different story to Bobby. One night, Vegetta was out trying to hunt when he heard a fight going on. He discovered a group of vampire hunters attacking a vampire and their recently sired child, so he jumped in to help but the adult vampire was killed before Vegetta could chase the hunters off. he got the hunters to run off before they could hurt the child though, and since Leo had no one else, he took her in as his own. He doesn't know why her sire turned her and like I mentioned before, vampire children often don't remember much from their human lives so Leo doesn't know either. Foolish was a bit hesitant about them taking in a kid at first, but he bonded very fast with Leo and now takes care of her the majority of the time. Also technically Roier, and by extension Jaiden and Bobby, are part of Vegetta and Foolish's coven because Vegetta turned Roier and they still talk all the time, but Roier likes having a bit of his own independence so he lives on his own with his family
Bad and Dapper possibly have the most interesting story out of most of the parents and their kids. I mentioned before that the vampire hunter groups are pretty scattered and disconnected from each other, so they all have different rules and regulations. One vampire hunting group happens to train children which no one is happy about. Bad is an extremely kind vampire (strictly feeds on animal blood) who tries to help out anyone he meets—human and vampire—so when he noticed he was being followed by a human child with a wooden stake on his belt he decided to let the kid try his best to kill him because he didn't wanna discourage him y'know? Dapper spent months trying to kill Bad who would never fight back, he would just kind of jump out of the way while being like "whoa you almost got me! good job! :D" the two start talking during these attempts, and Bad quickly grew fond of Dapper and Dapper realized Bad was nothing like what the hunters had told him vampires were like. One night though Dapper met a vampire who wasn't so nice, and Bad found him as he was bleeding out. Bad chased the other vampire off and Dapper—who had realized vampires weren't what he thought they were—asked Bad to turn him because he didn't want to die. Bad complied and the two have been inseparable ever since.
Fit has been a mercenary/assassin for hire for the better part of a century now and used to have a policy where he'd work for anyone if they paid him enough. He even worked for vampire hunters a few times. One time he was completing a job with another mercenary friend of his—Spreen—where they had to kill another vampire. During the fight the vampire grabbed a random kid who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and tried to feed from him to get extra strength. Fit and Spreen killed the vampire, but the kid was severely injured. Fit was considering just letting the kid die, but Spreen said they could turn him and train him together and all that stuff. Fit ended up going for it and turned Ramón, but Spreen dipped almost immediately despite saying he'd help out. Fit was pissed to say the least, but he bonded with Ramón and has ultimately become a lot more chill than he used to be thanks to needing to take care of his son.
Cellbit is a bit of an unhinged guy. Like, he's good, but he also definitely has a flair for the dramatic and a bit of a temper. One day he was just hanging out in a public library when he noticed this really cute young kid crying. He comforted the kid and the two began to talk, and over the next few weeks he found himself growing fond of Richarlyson. He started watching Richarlyson's family from afar to see how his parents were, and although Richas' parents were technically fine, Cellbit witnessed them yelling at Richas one (1) time and decided that was unacceptable (he was kind of just looking for an excuse though) and, uh, killed them. He made sure Richarlyson didn't see anything though and turned him quickly after. Because he was so young at the time (4) he doesn't remember anything from his human life which is probably for the better. Also Cellbit hadn't told the rest of his coven about this kid he met at the library, so the conversation when he got back to the house was basically "whatcha got there?" Cellbit, holding a 4 year old in one arm and starbucks in the other, "...coffee." Thankfully the rest of the Brazilians bonded very quickly with Richas, Forever especially who got flooded with mama wolf protectiveness. Richarlyson is the only one who can get near Forever during full moons, with Forever often curling up around the boy and licking his face until they fall asleep together.
Before joining the Big Group, the French coven lived very far out in the middle of the woods by themselves. There were roads, but they were very twisty and steep, often on the edge of mountains. One day, Baghera was out hunting for animals when she heard a car go through one of the road barriers. When she got to the crash site she saw the only passenger who survived was a little girl, but she was bleeding badly and wasn't going to make it. Baghera turned her to save her life, and then realized she didn't know shit about raising a kid, and the guys in her coven definitely didn't know how to raise a kid—let alone a vampire kid. She does her best with Pomme though, and after they join up with the others Forever gives her a lot of parenting advice
Tilín had a bit of a sad story. Wilbur left Quackity only a few days after he turned him, and Quackity was slightly relieved because he's very bad at the whole commitment to someone else thing since he's been alone for so long. But then he found a recently turned vampire kid who had been abandoned by their sire, and since Quackity was abandoned by his own sire (even though he was an adult when he was turned), he knew what it was like and couldn't just leave the kid to die. He really didn't know what he was doing though, and again, had a lot of internal issues with that sort of stuff. He left Tilín alone too much to go off and do his own stuff, and they got killed by hunters as a result. Quackity blames himself so much for it.
Max had a similar situation to Quackity with Trump, except he turned Trump himself because he was desperately lonely after not having a coven for so many decades. Trump was also a pretty lonely orphan kid, so in a way they were a good match for each other. But Max got caught up in his own programming work a lot and sometimes forgot to check on his kid. As a result Trump tried to hunt on his own, ended up exposing himself to some humans, and the Federation had to step in. They killed the humans involved, and then killed Trump as well because he'd put their secret at risk. Max only found out after the fact and was very heartbroken, but also gained a grudge for the Federation after that.
Like I said, I'll talk about Juanaflippa in my next ask. Also as far as Tallulah goes, she wouldn't come in till later in the story, but obviously yes Wilbur does end up taking her in at some point :)

"Guys, holy fuck" - Part 1
Yesterday on P5T, we reached the end of the third kingdom. And man, I really wish I’d gotten to this point while I was still over at Po’s house, because it would have been nice to have someone to scream along with me while I frantically hit the button on my phone camera at lightspeed.
Atlus, what R U doing?
Well, first of all, we’ve got two more keys to get, and more of Toshiro and Eri’s story to uncover. The last two keys are a letter of challenge, and a recorder.
So what happened, is that Eri sent vice-principal Nakabachi the letter of challenge. They confronted him about what he was doing, and he basically laughed them off. Said that there was nothing they could do without any proof, and there was no way that they’d be able to get the other students to come forward because they were too scared of the blackmail he had on them.
So Toshiro came up with a plan.
They talk to the other students, and call the vice-principal to the roof. He thinks they’re going to grovel, but they confront him again. This time, with the other students backing them up. All of them, standing together!
Tumblr media
The vice-principal laughs. He says that it’s still their word against his, and he will ruin their futures if they dare try to do anything else or tell anyone.
And Toshiro says, wow, didn’t think it would be that easy. And holds up the recorder. A full confession, spoken by the man himself. It’s exactly what they need.
In the present, Toshiro tells the Thieves that Nakabachi was fired. The revolution worked. And now they have all four keys, and its time to go to the locked music room and take out the ruler of this place! So they head up, unlock the door, and confront Nakabachi.
He turns into some big round robot that looks like a head, and the “rules” are not to use any skills. Somehow I teleported Erina over onto his platform earlier than planned, and ended up being able to hammer on him like that, so it actually wasn’t that bad of a fight. I’ve gotten some good personas by now, too. So, the ruler goes down! All is well! ...except he’s not down, because he’s not Nakabachi at all. He’s someone else. And he’s kidnapped Erina, and has another memory to reveal to Toshiro.
When they made their accusations against Nakabachi public, everyone jumped on board. Even the students who had never actually been victims. Students who were punished for things they actually did, students who had just gotten a “bad vibe” from him, people were making things up, even, just to be part of the pack. They were even harassing the man at his house after he was dismissed from the school. And he snapped under the strain of the constant harassment. He found Toshiro and Eri waiting for the train one evening, out of his mind, and pushed Eri in front of a train.
Toshiro tried to catch her, but couldn’t in time.
And he feels so guilty. He thinks it was all his fault. If he hadn’t stirred up this rebellion, if they hadn’t confronted the vice-principal, Eri wouldn’t have gotten hurt. She survived, but was in the hospital for a long time. No wonder he was burying all of this.
Tumblr media
The students who harassed Nakabachi got in trouble, and most of the student body ended up blaming Toshiro. Because clearly they wouldn’t have gotten in trouble if Toshiro and Eri hadn’t led them to rebel in the first place. Which is complete bullshit, but, y’know, people trying to find a scapegoat.
And now that Toshiro remembers all of this, the rebels of the Kingdom turn on him and become Legionnaires, and are finally able to call him by name.
(And I gotta laugh at the letters that were visible right before they speak the whole thing. XD)
Tumblr media
After a “survive X turns” battle (where I just barely scraped by without anyone getting KO’d), Toshiro is a wreck. To the point that he asks the Thieves to leave him behind, because if he keeps fighting, it’s just going to end with them getting hurt this time. And he doesn’t want that. He says that he might as well stay behind, and just--
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Futaba slaps the shit out of him before he can finish that thought. Because Futaba knows what it’s like to feel so terrible about a situation that you just want to die. And she’s not letting someone else fall in that pit. So everyone makes it back to the hideout in one piece.
We recover, we mentally fortify ourselves, we talk Toshiro down from the edge of a full-blown mental breakdown. Lavenza summons us to tell us that something is getting stronger. And it’s very malevolent. But she doesn’t know what it is. Vagueness is coming! Please stop taking after your great-grandfather, Lavenza. If you must, take after him from when he was actually helpful.
So anyway, with no clues about the malevolent vagueness, we head for the student council room, where Shadow Toshiro is waiting with Erina.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gotta admit, I’m a little annoyed that the eyes of his sprite aren’t gold. Like, come on. COME ON. Atlus. Please. First your weird stepchild Velvet attendant and now this? But man oh man has he got stage presence. And he wants Erina dead. Toshiro is horrified by this, but the whole school crumbles to reveal like, a dramatic clocktower and stuff, and the shadow strings up Erina and tells Toshiro that as soon as they kill the stain that Eri left on him, everything will be better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Thieves sprint in to try to help, but he’s rigged a trap. He’s got these bandage things that he can control, and the Thieves get tied up and are left unable to reach them. Akira drops his dagger and manages to kick it to Toshiro (with a voiced line of dialogue!), but Toshiro can’t move.
Tumblr media
Right up until the shadow gets ready to blast Erina. Then he is up, he is grabbing the dagger, he is throwing it right through the shadow’s hand. We love this man’s character development. God damn. The bandage things drop Erina over the side of the clock tower, and Toshiro lunges to catch her. He saves her, the way he didn’t manage to save Eri.
And now Erina knows who she is.
His persona. Somehow.
Even though his shadow is right there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So we’re going to stop for a second while the Thieves have a dramatic fight against Shadow Toshiro (who uses an annoying shield). Because what is this place, really? It’s like an extremely complex Dungeon more than anything, I suppose, since it’s about all of this trauma that he’s been keeping buried. But multiple aspects existing simultaneously leans closer to my version of a heart world, and the only other person who’s canonically had a cognitive world with multiple aspects of themselves running around is Maki, who was a Wild Card.
Toshiro’s awakening is also a strange combo of a P4 and P5 awakening. He confronts his shadow and accepts the flaws in himself that he needs to overcome, but he also gets the mask and blood. Which is fine, except that the mask immediately disappears after he pulls it off, he doesn’t get a metaverse outfit, nothing. So… they could have skipped the mask. His awakening wasn’t really a “rebellion” awakening. Just go with P4-style if he wasn’t going to get the full-blown outfit change.
Yes I KNOW I am probably thinking too hard but Blowtorch is metaphorically sitting on my shoulder and we are wondering why the lore isn’t clicking!! XD
(Also the persona’s name is Ernesto, and I’m not really sure I vibe with the inspiration there? Like I get it, but there’s probably better ways to have done this whole thing. Love the design, tho.)
I've hit the image limit, so please hold for part 2. X'D Also, check out Yusuke's fancy new water gun.
