I like the app Notion. It’s great! It has AI now, which lets me extract recipes from food blogs that have so many ads that I have trouble finding the instructions. What I don’t like is planning.
I don’t like this whole thing with the productivity. Whenever I see a video about Notion it’s like “your second brain” and “how I plan life” and I’m sitting there feeling like something is wrong with me. Because I have no need for daily/weekly/monthly to do lists and goals and extensive meal plans and databases of shows I watch.
I find it fascinating and horrifying how some people seem to spend so much time planning. I just do things. I decided to pick up drawing in January 2022. So now I draw. Sometimes I look up tutorials. Sometimes I do Skillshare Classes. I think about my dinner sometime throughout the day and then I make sure the ingredients are at home. If I want to relax, I relax. If I want to meet friends, I pick a date with them and we meet up.
Am I weird because I don’t have a database of books I read and one for all my recipes and another one for my affirmations (that I don’t use)? Am I strange for not using to do lists at all?
My whole point is that I really want to find someone like me. Someone who uses Notion, but not for productivity and planning. Someone who makes me feel a tad more normal.
