The apartment is dark and quiet.

Shouto drops his keys in the bowl by the door and slips out of his shoes, exhaustion hanging off him like a heavy jacket.

"Baby? I'm home." No answer. He pushes himself through the hallway and into the kitchen. There's the usual bowl of fruits and veggies on the kitchen counter and a bouquet of roses on the table. He takes note of their state, how he needs to stop on the way tomorrow and buy you a new one, maybe tulips this time.

With a yawn he pulls out his phone, your name on speed dial. But instead of your voice he hears the dial tone - and a buzzing coming from down the hall.

Did you fall asleep already? But it's much too early for that.

He moves further down the hallway but the door to your bedroom is open, your shared bed empty. Your phone is on the floor, buzzing and his heart is in this throat.

"Babe?" He asks again, voice shakier this time. One hand freezes, as if anticipating a fight. Instead, he hears a low thump - and the doors to your shared wardrobe open, ejecting you in the least graceful way possible.

"Don't look!" You scream, trying to clamber back inside. You're wearing something fuzzy and grey, fighting both against it and him when he grabs you under the arms and pulls you up.

"What are you doing?"

"It's a surprise!" You exlaim. But you stop moving when he pulls you in, presses you against his chest.

"Don't scare me like that again," he whispers, relief pouring out of him. The ice on his arm melts and you turn to look into his eyes.

"Sorry," you say, cradling his face in your hands, "I didn't think how this might look. I just got spooked because the surprise wasn't finished."

"What's the surprise anyway?"

You huff, clearly flustered.

"Come on? Please? Tell me?" Now he's the one pouting, knowing full well you can't say no to that face.

"Fine," you huff, struggling to get the furry grey fabric back up. "I got us matching Totoro Onesies and I wanted to surprise you in mine. Can you zip it up for me?"

The challenge was to draw characters in a different style

I drew these for Guess That Artist event in dpxdc server im in >w< I animated it too! But didn't show the animation in the event because I knew it would rat me out XDDD Actually gives me an idea of like ;w; baby dick and jason being taken in. T o T I also made the cape wrap around Jason protectively. And then that's a moped I hand/digitally painted in the bg.. not a car. its too small XD
