i am genuinely so deep into my denial about the passage of time that my brain has stopped keeping track of memories since 2019. if you were to ask me what has happened in the last 4 years i’d be like ummm. i cried a lot. got my heart broken. some days i wanted to curl up in bed and rot in my little enclosure forever. i broke some promises to myself. followed through with a select minority. there is a gaping hole in my life where some people used to be. also i was weighed down with crippling loneliness every day and took a lot of walks

Hi fernie ☺️
I wanted to request some sweet time waking up next to Price/Gaz after getting back with them… these ex-husband and ex-boyfriend tropes are so bittersweet and I love them but I also crave some solid resolutions 😭 You can make this smut or pure fluff, whatever you want.
Thank you ❤️
ex-husband price, but the “ex” lays on significantly blurred lines now.
fem!reader, 18+ [unprotected piv, etc] — lazy writing/editing + formatting sorry
a/n: i’m so sorry for how late this is !! i’m literally terrible at completing my asks 😭 i hope this is good enough <3

He had come crawling back to you last night.
Amidst the howling wind and the cold, sleeting rain, John appeared on your doorstep like a stray dog— hair wet and clinging to his forehead, his clothes soaked through, his lips quirked into a slightly embarrassed smile.
And then, then he looked at you with those warm eyes, his pupils expanding beneath the weight of his gaze, and you folded.
Of course you folded.
You let him inside, allowed him into the cradle of your very life. A life in which you had built around the absence of him.
The divorce happened a year ago. The constant strain of John being away, and the crippling loneliness his job brought you, was too much to bear. Without him, your home had felt like a shell of itself, so empty and quiet. Separation allowed you to make your own home not-so reliant on him.
And maybe it was hard. Maybe you did cry for him, yearn for him in the penetratingly dark hours of the morning— a want for his body pressed to yours, a need for his heat against your chilled skin.
But you had to move on. You were strong and, once the initial emptiness of your ring finger no longer bothered you, you were set free. The shackles of grief snapped and crumpled and allowed you to spring forth into a fresh life.
Yet, the night he appeared on your front step, cold and white like a wraith against a sea of black, you allowed him entry.
There was no hesitation like you convinced yourself there’d be. There was no sort of what the hell are you doing here, John? You simply sighed, your heart clenching beneath the calloused fingers of your reappearing grief, and stepped aside.
He had thanked you profusely.
And then broke down.
Still in his wet clothes, he hung his head and let tears well in his eyes, his hands balled into fists at his sides as he attempted to control his emotions. You watched him patiently, your own sadness itching tightly at the back of your throat.
He apologised. For everything you knew affected the relationship, and for everything he thought affected the relationship.
Long periods of absence, missing important milestones in your life and holidays, the strained communication when in the field. He apologised for it all, shaking and dripping like the lost dog he was.
When he looked up at you, eyes red and glossy with tears, his cheeks rouged beneath his facial hair and lips bitten from nervousness, you broke too.
Of course I miss you, tumbled from your lips. Of course I still think about you. Of course I haven’t been with anyone else. Of course I want you back—
The two of you broke like a dam, a crack of lightening outside acting as the starting gun, spurring you on as you moved in unison, meeting together in a searing kiss that made you whine out for him. But his groan of pleasure, of relief, was louder than any sound he had ever made before. It made your heart flutter.
That night, he held you so impossibly close to him that you feared you may sink into him— that your souls would intertwine within the heat of him, and you’d be stuck with him forever. But, after a moment, you realised it wasn’t fear. You’d happily seep into the grooves of his soul if he let you.
The next morning, you awoke bundled in his strong, warm arms, the coarse hairs a deliciously familiar juxtaposition against your soft flesh. You moaned quietly as you drifted awake.
John stirred behind you, the arm he had around your midriff moving, his large hand moving to splay across the curve of your bare tummy. He pressed against the warm fat, nose in the crook of your neck, nuzzling you. You whined when he gripped your tummy, but he just chuckled quietly with a kiss to the pulse beneath your ear.
Only now did you realise, against the warmth of the skin above your navel, that John was still wearing his wedding band.
It made your stomach flip.
Last night, while he had your knees to your ears, his cock heavy inside you, he asked about your rings.
“In the drawer— fuck— the bedside table—!” You moaned, his hips snapping forward, his stomach pressed to yours, pinning you to the bed.
He stopped only to lean over and open the drawer. Then, he fished out both your extravagant engagement ring, and the more simply wedding ring. Then, he resumed his thrusts, knocking another moan from your chest.
When you came around his cock with an earth-shattering orgasm, a moan of “Yes, John!” echoing through the room, he slipped the rings back onto your finger. Your sweet moans were a welcome nostalgia, a guilty-pleasure in this very moment. He came inside you after that.
Now, John was kissing the pulse behind your ear, arms around you, his chest to your back as he slotted one of his legs between yours, separating them so he could rut his hardening cock between the plushness of your thighs.
“I’ve missed you so much,” he whispered to you, the leaking tip of his cock rubbing against your wet folds, dipping in and out in a gentle rut with each movement of his hips. “I’ve missed my pretty wife.”
The hand on your stomach snaked down, brushing over your mound and then cupping you there, a finger pressing to the already swollen bud of your clit. He hummed when he began to run circles across it, slow and steady.
You mewled, arse moving backwards to press against him, then moving forward again to buck into his touch. The warmth of his cock between your thighs had your pussy fluttering, leaking.
“John…” You whispered, flexing the muscles of your thighs, the sensation against John’s cock making him groan. You begged, “Please, I need you.”
“Then you’ll have me,” he whispered back, the ruddy tip of his cock finally snagging against your entrance. He slowly, slowly began pushing inside, splitting you open with a soft, wet sound. He moaned against your neck. “You’ll have me forever, sweetheart. Whenever you want me, you’ll have me.”
John bottomed out with one final lazy snap of his hips against your arse. You both moaned, the air around you warm and thick like honey.
His cock reached so deeply inside you, nudging the pliant plug of your cervix with each rut. His movements never left you empty, keeping you stretched open around his girth. Your cunt squeezed him, dribbling along your inner thighs now as he rocked into you, the mattress creaking beneath you both.
The finger in your clit sped up, the circles deepening and quickening in pace, timed with his thrusts as they grew faster and faster, still lazy, but coordinated and intent on dragging you to release.
The pleasure was sickly sweet, parting the veil of sleep with ease. You could taste it on your tongue, the precipice of your orgasm, and the many more to come— sweet and warm against the wintery rain outside. Just like John.
“John…” You whimpered, your body tightening, sweat building along your already-dewy skin.
“That’s it, sweetheart, doing so well for me. My good girl. My pretty wife,” he praised, his cock hitting that perfect spot inside you every damn time. He drank in your moans, an elixir he had longed for since the moment you two separated, and continued his thrusts. Kissing your neck, he asked, “Will you marry me?”
“Yes—!” And you came around him, moaning loudly, writhing and spasming as your orgasm wracked through you. It was intense and hot and it had your pussy clenching around John’s cock like a vice.
Your acceptance made him moan, moan your name, and then come deep inside you, painting your slick walls white.
For a long while, he held you to him, cock still inside you, but the two of you weren’t in any hurry to part from one another. You felt sticky all over, skin tacky with sweat and cum, but you couldn’t care less. Wrapped up in your ex— your husband’s arms, was all that mattered.
“I love you,” John said to you. “Always have. Always will.”

Nagisa has such a complex and emotional backstory (the one presented within Magia Record) and while I love the memes, I'd also love to see her analyzed the same way as the Holy Quintet girls more.
When it comes to Nagisa's relationship with her mother, it is clearly emotionally and verbally abusive in a very realistic way. Nagisa loves her mom. Her mom is still her mom despite everything, and Nagisa wants to love and forgive her. Nagisa also hates her mom; The mom who yells at her, is implied to hit her, and tells her she's wasting money and time. Nagisa tries her best to support and care for her mom despite everything; she acts like a hit dog still coming back to the hitter because it's all she has.
Speaking of dogs, I want to draw parallels between Nagisa and Inui. Kyuubey specifically mentions that another girl in similar circumstances* (*to Nagisa) wished to have the attention of the boy she liked; cut to Inui, who talks to Kyuubey about her worries with the Sleepwalking Ghost and her boyfriend. From this we can guess that Inui is impoverished, has a difficult relationship with her mom, and has the same goal as Nagisa; to be loved in a conditionless way by someone who endlessly hurts them.
Inui is a perfect parallel for Nagisa; Nagisa has become disillusioned with the concept of "love" to the point of viewing all fairytales and stories in a gloomy light; Nagisa has not been loved in the way a child needs to be loved, and so cannot fathom the type of carefree love shown in fairytales. Inui on the other hand is so desperate for the attention and love she hasn't gotten she's gotten into a relationship with (presumably) the first douchebag who showed any kind of interest in her; she craves a fairytale romance and to be swept off her feet by a prince and so in her mind Sho can't be anything but that prince. Both of them cling to their delusions and coping mechanisms while further being hurt by people supposed to love and protect them.
Nagisa resents her mother despite craving her affection; she considers using her wish to make her mom regret being unkind to her (a vengeful fantasy of an abused child [she hopes for an apology and for things to become perfect]) before finally settling on making her mom unknowningly seal her own doom (ie, the cheesecake).
Nagisa's cheesecake is an incredibly important object for both literal and symbolic purposes. She wished for it instead of saving her mother's life; It represents her final revenge against a woman who never treated her kindly. It also represents the unobtainable love Nagisa searches for even as Charlotte; "unable to make the cheese she loves" aka "unable to obtain love". There is a more uplifting (albeit dark) symbolism here too; that being Charlotte's unfortunate decapitation of Mami. Mami, who in Rebellion is Bebe's caretaker and mother figure, is eaten by Charlotte: Mami is the "cheese" Charlotte loves and has finally found.
Nagisa is abandoned by everyone: the only one who hasn't abandoned her is her mother, who is convinced Nagisa will abandon her. They have a vicious cycle of mistrust and dependence. Right before she becomes a witch, Yuu promises "I'll never leave your side"; after taking the only person who never abandoned Nagisa, Yuu promises "I'll never leave your side". Those were some of the last words Nagisa heard: the crippling loneliness, guilt, and betrayal that sunk in is what caused the birth of Charlotte. What makes it worse is those are words Nagisa was likely told by her parents at some point: afterall, parents will say anything to comfort their child, especially before something like hospitalization or leaving the family entirely.
Nagisa is 12 at her oldest possible age and 8 at her youngest possible age. She is a tragic figure on the same level as Sayaka, Kyoko, and Mami. The only true closure we have for her at the moment is her relationship with Mami (and the other Holy Quintet members) in Rebellion.

The most interesting theme within all the Ketu nakshatras was one that was unexpected, as it is common to mainly associate Ketu with concepts of disconnection or isolation from society as a whole -- since Ketu is often linked with the 12H. But it is more about the interactions with the unseen forces within society more than anything. Because the 12H also represents the collective's consciousness and all the interconnected energies that come with that which Ketu becomes possessed by. And it is Ashwini that is the most sensitive Ketu nakshatra, as it easily becomes consumed & absorbed by these 12H energies which often leads to chaos and loneliness.
Tumblr media
Ashwini nakshatra embodies Nothingness which is the oldest energy in the universe. It's between a space before actualized creation, and after the rise of awareness that's emerged from Nothingness (or the Cosmic Void). It is very fitting that this is the first nakshatra; but it should also be considered the last as it essentially represents the non-duality of Life & Death. This theme is further extended in Bharani and beautifully explored in that nakshatra, but in Ashwini we focus on the spirit's evolution. The energy found in this nakshatra is as undeveloped as it is chaotic, which is why evolution needs to take place -- and this usually involves extreme harsh forces to tame it. It is in Ashwini where there's confusion or lack of self-awareness of one's own identity as energies here become repressed, unconsciously accumulating. I'm going to use some films as examples to explore this point.
First, I'm going to use the most typical Ketu-coded character. Ashwini Moon Christian Bale's Patrick Bateman in "American Psycho". This film follows an investment banker who relishes in the wealthy excesses of his superficial lifestyle in which everybody else around him also revels in. His life is empty, mostly revolving around getting into exclusive restaurants, wallowing in designer suits, having a meticulous morning routine etc. There's a pressure in general for conformity and Ashwini is sensitive to these energies which they take up, driving them to compete and also go too far with this -- because it's no longer about conforming anymore. It's become an obsession, and these pressures drive Patrick Bateman into homicidal tendencies as an outlet. This film perfectly encapsulates modern-day consumerisms, and it is of course an Ashwini native who is driven into a descent of madness from this empty, superficial culture he's subjected to.
Tumblr media
Nothing can fill up the emptiness inside of him and he knows that. This crippling, painful understanding is what continuously manifests his violent self-hatred and hatred towards others. And this is why he is forever trapped in a cycle of loneliness, as he is surrounded by the same narcissistic, self-absorbed suits who will continue to maintain this soulless, superficial culture.
Tumblr media
The movie was adapted from the book with the same name, written by Mula Moon Bret Easton Ellis whose own experiences inspired the book "American Psycho".
Tumblr media
Quote from an interview; OregonLive (2010);
"[Patrick Bateman] did not come out of me sitting down and wanting to write a grand sweeping indictment of yuppie culture. It initiated because my own isolation and alienation at a point in my life. I was living like Patrick Bateman. I was slipping into a consumerist kind of void that was supposed to give me confidence and make me feel good about myself but just made me feel worse and worse and worse about myself. That is where the tension of 'American Psycho' came from... It came from a much more personal place."
-- Mula Moon Bret Easton Ellis
Now, onto the movie "Fight Club", which was directed by Magha Sun David Fincher, and stars Magha Sun Edward Norton and Mula Sun Brad Pitt.
Tumblr media
The most highlighted character from this film, played by Brad Pitt, is Tyler Durden, who plans on making a revolution to destroy the hyper-capitalistic, materialistic superficial culture that we saw destroy Patrick Bateman from the inside in "American Psycho".
(video - 🎧)
Of course, just like Ashwini Moon Patrick Bateman took his obsessive consumerism too far; Mula Sun Tyler Durden lays on the opposite spectrum -- aiming to destroy modern society by blowing up all credit card companies and ruining the world's economy. Mula is related to destruction as it is ruled by Nirriti, the goddess of destruction. The oppressive forces that weigh on this Mula character, Tyler Durden, causes him into a spiral for freedom (9H), using extremities and acts of terrorism to be rid of ego/society. Whereas Ashwini, having no solid identity and just being undeveloped in nature, is more likely to conform; but so long as Ketu is there, there will always be an emptiness in the ambitious pursuit of things. Ashwini can grant excess wealth and fame, but with no inner fulfillment or balance, you see characters like Patrick Bateman. Or Daniel Plainview from "There Will Be Blood".
A movie directed by Paul Thomas Anderson who has Ketu in Magha, and stars Ashwini Moon, Mula Ascendant Daniel Day Lewis who portrays Daniel Plainview. Plainview is more Ashwini, as he is an extremely ambitious, capitalistic and competitive oilman.
Tumblr media
His pursuit for wealth and power leads him to personal loneliness, isolation and emptiness -- we see how Ketuvians become so drained and eaten alive by the energies they absorb in the pursuit of things. Similarly to Patrick Bateman, he not only hates others but himself and wishes for no one to succeed in life.
(click on the gif(s) if they're buffering lmao, i swear they're cheap)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His primal competitiveness and self-loathing even drives away his only family -- his only child. His adult son means to do his own oilrig business and cuts his partnership with him. But Plainview's unchecked ambition shows that even after attaining success and power, he literally goes ahead to disown his own son as he considers him competition now. And now he extends the same hatred he has for others to him. Further isolating himself; this validating his deep sense of loneliness that was always there with his self-loathing.
Tumblr media
The film ends in an Ashwini fashion; in which Plainview goes into a psychotic meltdown and murders someone who he has had a long stewing hatred for.
(YouTube clip by me - 🎧)
youtube
I wanted to provide a brilliant video from the YouTuber "The Vile Eye", who explored the dark nature of this character; because it perfectly illustrates Ashwini nakshatra in a twisted way -- especially in how Aries in this segment is influenced by Ketu forces. Everything about this character is every Aries stereotype you can think of from the top of your head, but Ketu exaggerates it to the point of extremity and tragedy.
youtube
Amazing video for anyone who wants to understand Ashwini at its extreme which can manifest in real life of course.
Now in the series "Peaky Blinders", which I quickly wanted to mention, stars Ashwini Moon Cillian Murphy whose character faces moral dilemmas, as his relentless pursuit of power contributes to his moral ambiguity.
Tumblr media
His ruthless ambition to become the most powerful in the criminal underworld is something I couldn't help but relate it back to Ashwini's drive & competitiveness.
The movie "Scarface" stars Ashwini Sun Al Pacino who plays Tony Montana. And fun fact, Tony Montana is loosely based and inspired by the real-life figure, Al Capone, who was literally a goddamn Ashwini Moon. So, I say Scarface is a fucking Ashwini movie.
Tumblr media
Both Tony Montana and Al Capone had unchecked ambitions and an unrelenting desire for power. In Ashwini, extreme power can be attained, and we saw how Tony Montana quickly rose to it (as Ashwini is the Star of Transport and it is associated with Shidhra Vyapani Shakti which translates to 'The Power to Quickly Reach Things'). Similarly, Al Capone was also driven by the desire for power and he attained it.
Like Daniel Plainview in "There Will Be Blood", Tony Montana starts to experience isolation after all of his achievements. His chaotic behaviour contributes to his alienation, and he starts to feel intensifying loneliness, which seems to be a theme with this nakshatra. And this film also ends in Ashwini fashion; with absolute chaos, the psychotic unraveling of Tony and of course death.
Tumblr media
I wanted to also add in the movie "Nightcrawler" which stars Mula Sun Jake Gyllenhaal who plays a character willing to go to the extreme lengths for success and personal achievement, to the point of exploiting others and not giving two fucks about ethical boundaries.
Tumblr media
He has a distorted view of success and has an unchecked, ruthless ambition which is common in Ketu nakshatras. He is also a socially isolated character, behaving inappropriately as he is disconnected from social norms. He lacks zero empathy. In his obsessive & relentless pursuit of success, he is devoid of humanity. Had to mention this film because these themes are not exclusive to Ashwini.
But as I did mention, Mula is more likely to be aware of societal pressures and these natives often feel deeply disturbed by them -- while Ashwini is more focused on the Self, as it's ruled by the 1H. In the film "Falling Down", Mula Moon Michael Douglas plays a character who has become disillusioned and is now aware of the pressures and oppression caused by the modern-day life. This movie is literally directed by Magha Sun Joel Schumacher.
Tumblr media
He confronts many issues such as homelessness and crime, which are heavily rooted in the greedy, capitalistic system of modern society. But he becomes violent and chaotic himself, going into a descent to madness (from absorbing the energies felt by the collective who also feel the weight of these oppressive forces within society). This movie deals with the consequences of unchecked rage, a theme shared in all Ketu nakshatras.
The film "Taxi Driver", which stars Magha Sun Robert De Niro and is directed by Magha Ascendant Martin Scorsese, depicts a man who suffers from extreme loneliness, alienation from society, and struggles with existential crisis. The film explores social decay; such as social disparities, the disillusionment of our main character to society's ills, crime, poverty etc. He goes into a descent into vigilantism, using violence as a catharsis which is a common thing for these Ketu nakshatras (mainly Magha and Mula as it looks at societal frustrations and the emptiness in life/modern culture).
Tumblr media
The character also suffers from a possible case of untreated mental illness, and insomnia -- and this seems to be a theme with all Ketu nakshatras in general.
Another film where the main character suffers from extreme insomnia is "The Machinist", starring Ashwini Moon Christian Bale whose character's insomnia and untreated mental illness literally contribute to his isolation and alienation.
Tumblr media
will be coming back to this film in my part 2 post
And the film "Fight Club", in which Magha Sun Edward Norton plays an insomniac character who has dissociative identity disorder. And his split personality is interestingly played by Mula Sun Brad Pitt.
Tumblr media
Then we have the film "Insomnia", directed by Ketu in Magha Christopher Nolan, starring Ashwini Sun Al Pacino who plays an insomniac detective who faces some mental challenges.
Tumblr media
There is a spiritual belief about insomnia, which suggests that there may be a disturbance in one's spirit; unresolved issues that have been long suppressed can be linked to an imbalance of energy within the body. This causes restlessness and more mental problems. This could make sense as Ketu and the 12H deal with what is unconscious -- and how that tends to be our deep, rooted traumas and the way in which they affect us & those around us. And not just traumas, could just be repression of one's own internal suffering from either loneliness or external pressures. We see this with Patrick Bateman, whose only outlet is literal murder, or Tyler Durden's 'revolutionary' fight club causing more destruction around him as planned. Both characters violently act out from these unaddressed decaying energies within themselves and from within society.
The series "Sharp Objects", directed by Magha Moon Jean-Marc Vallé, mostly deals with family traumas, but also shows how those traumas and unresolved energies literally cause death and chaos around them.
Tumblr media
Camille Preaker, who is played by Magha Sun Amy Adams, is deeply traumatized and troubled. She has a history of self-harm and has many scars on her body; her self-destructive behaviour is a coping mechanism for what happened when she was young (sexual violence by a group of boys and witnessing the slow, painful and preventative death of her sister). Then we have her younger half-sister Amma, played by Magha Moon Eliza Scanlen, who has a hidden dark side that has been shaped by the family's troubled history and generational trauma. By the end of the series, we find out that Amma is the killer of the violent murders that have shocked the townspeople of Wind Gap. It is Amma who is responsible for all of the gruesome deaths of the girls whose teeth were removed. As Camille's coping mechanism is cutting herself as self-punishment for all the guilt she harbours from the death of her sister, Amma literally commits homicidal acts. All of this connecting to just how messed up, and complex, their trauma and the community they grew up in is. And then we have their mother, played by Mula Moon Patricia Clarkson, who has Munchausen syndrome and is responsible for the death of her oldest daughter. Camille was a witness to her sister's suffering and death, and she sees her mother as a monster and now her little sister is an extension of her. This series is such a good example of how our own personal unchecked traumas affect others, especially those who aren't involved. And how much destruction can be caused, as we see with Amma killing other girls as an 'outlet'. This is why I now realize how wrong I was about Ketu, as Ketu is not necessarily about isolating from society. Regarding society, Ketu will be the complex yet intricate unaddressed/rotting energies within society, and it always relates back to individuals' personal generational traumas. It makes sense that Magha relates to ancestry roots and origins of oneself, even the origins of one's trauma.
Now onto the film "Nocturnal Animals", which is directed by Magha Sun Tom Ford, stars Magha Sun Amy Adams and Mula Sun Jake Gyllenhaal.
Tumblr media
Amy Adams plays Susan who is a successful art gallery owner. She receives a manuscript for a novel called Nocturnal Animals sent to her by her ex-husband Edward who's played by Jake Gyllenhaal. The book is extremely violent & tragic; but it actually turns out to be a symbolic reflection of their relationship and marriage. Bringing in the Ketu themes of unresolved trauma and getting to the roots of it (Mula theme). This book serves to make Susan confront how much of her actions fucked him up. The movie focuses on the confronting of one's past, telling of how trauma will still continue to shape the lives of those involved. And the movie shows that even Susan still has unresolved issues just by her repulsed reactions to extreme parts of the novel.
The movies "Split" and "Glass", stars two Ashwini Suns, Anya Taylor Joy and James McAvoy. McAvoy's character, Kevin, has dissociative personality disorder and these different personalities exist to keep him safe. His trauma is so extreme and deeply painful that it manifested into the creation of The Beast, the most dangerous and superhuman personality. Three kidnapped girls are prey to The Beast as they end up being devoured by it but there is only one doesn't fall victim to him -- and that's Anya Taylor Joy's character Casey.
Tumblr media
The reason why she doesn't fall victim is because she, too, has suffered extreme trauma and her resilience through it is what creates an immediate connection with Kevin. It is when The Beast sees her scars that he calls her pure, implying that those who have been damaged are the ones who are truly evolved.
(YouTube clip by me - 🎧)
youtube
Also, "Split" is another example of how deeply repressed energies and traumas of one can ruin everything around them and victimize those close to the Ketuvians (usually uninvolved people's lives being violently taken; "Split", "Sharp Objects", "American Psycho", "Falling Down" etc.).
Ashwini Moon Zendaya in the series "Euphoria" plays a character, Rue, who has been through a significant amount of trauma, including the passing of her father. She uses self-destructive ways to cope with her deep emotional pain and grief, very similarly to Magha Sun Amy Adams's character in "Sharp Objects". Rue uses drugs to numb herself from her harsh realities. There is a moment in the series in which she has a chaotic meltdown.
(YouTube clip by me - 🎧)
youtube
Something I now understand with Ashwini is how explosive, volatile and scary its ungrounded energy can be -- exactly why I'd commonly associate it with hysterical meltdowns which can lead to accidental or unplanned homicidal acts or other forms of harm/self-harm. This scene of Rue is vaguely taking me back to Ashwini Moon Christian Bale's spiraling and meltdowns in "American Psycho".
(YouTube clip by me - 🎧)
youtube
Ketu, especially with Magha, seems to cause erratic behaviours when its natives aren't purified of their long-accumulated baggage in their unconsciousness -- exactly why the 8H is also ruled by Ketu as Scorpio shares this particular theme. As long as there is deep disturbance and imbalance in the body, there is no rest for the soul -- even for future incarnations to come.
But now, I want to touch on the senseless harshness of Ketu. Remember, this energy embodies the eternal sucking void. Mula nakshatra relates to the center of the cosmic void and goes straight into the roots of it. Ashwini has already risen from it, while Mula is centering itself back into it. Mula is where we seek an awakening to the truth of what is behind reality. What is on the other side of the cosmic void? Truth is searched in Mula, but it seems that it is Ashwini that understands that chaos is the absolute truth of reality. There is no meaning to anything, which sounds nihilistic, but it is what makes life beautiful.
In the film "The Pianist", written & directed by Magha Sun Roman Polanski, starring Ashwini Sun Adrien Brody, starts out quite warm with a well-put together family and a handsome talented Ashwini man who dreams of being a pianist. But things take a drastic turn. We see a once bright-eyed boy turn into the shell of the person he once was after going through such harrowing events, and things just keep getting tragically worse and worse until there is not even a sliver of hope anymore. The majority of the film is literally just despair, senseless cruelty, and the protagonist's soul slowly becoming annihilated.
Tumblr media
I've never watched a film more Ketuvian than this; surrounded by genocide, death and being completely isolated while being eaten by one's own lonely misery.
One moment you think one character is going to make it out alive somehow because they have the conviction and drive to survive, but the film immediately takes that idea away as they helplessly die. You think the protagonist is going to see some light, and the film even makes you slightly comfortable in some moments given the harsh realities, but you witness just how everything remains tragic. There are no answers to any prayers, as suffering is just ongoing. This tonality creates another layer of feeling trapped, and you watch as the character just lets life do whatever it wants to him as he is trapped in a world where he is helpless anyway. With Ketu, you realize that there was never any security or answers to this senseless chaos in this world to begin with.
Tumblr media
But his survival at the end makes you question why he even went through all of that. There was no lesson to be taken from such a tragic, horrifying experience. Why did his other friends and family die but not him? In the end, he became a successful pianist as he dreamt of from the beginning. He was exceptionally talented from the start; these events took everything away from him except his passion for the piano. What he went through was senseless, as Ketu has no prime motivation. Saturn will push you through the worst so that you can reach a level where you can now attain all of your reaped rewards, Ketu doesn't care for what you get in the end -- that's Rahu's objective, as Rahu deals with ego; Ketu deals with the evolution of one's soul and that usually involves its annihilation.
The kdrama "Save Me", stars three Ketu natives; Magha Moon Seo Yea-ji, Mula Moon Woo Do-hwan and Mula Sun Ok Taec-yeon. It follows Seo Yeah-ji's character, Sang-mi, and her family after moving into a new town. They become influenced and entangled by a religious cult. Sang-mi becomes aware of just how oppressive and dangerous the cult is when she & her family literally lose all control to them. Sang-mi's attempts to escape become futile, as she remains trapped under the oppressive abuse of the cult, turning her more into a shell of the person she once was.

(The Mula male characters are the ones who find out about the Magha girl's whereabouts, and they plan to save her and her family from the clutches of the cult.)
She witnesses extremely harrowing events, and the drama makes you feel the sense of hopelessness that she's feeling -- trapped and completely helpless no matter how much she tries to save herself and family. There is a similar sense of hopelessness and lose of one's own identity found in "The Pianist", but in this drama it's more about extreme involuntary isolation from society (which I will be expanding on in part 2 of this exploration).
The film "Society of the Snow" is literally directed by Ashwini Moon J.A. Bayona, based on real life events. There's a documentary based on these events as well, "Stranded: I've Come From A Plane That Crashed On The Mountains", directed by Magha Moon Gonzalo Arijon.
Tumblr media
Now, in the "Society of the Snow", there is a tone of hopelessness set in the film because of the gruesome reality that these characters (based on real life people) experience. And never in their lifetime did they think that everything was going to change so drastically from just living the average life of normal teenage boys. These characters, who were in a rugby team, get on a plane that would soon crash onto glacier surrounded by endless cold harsh mountains -- with just a piece of the wrecked plane remaining in which they take shelter in. The protagonists are surrounded by the dead bodies of friends who did not survive the crash, and now they must spend the first night in harsh coldness while many are severely injured. They couldn't even sleep, the first night being spent with many of them crying and wailing out loud, nearly freezing to death. One day after, a rescue helicopter searches for them, and they all scream out for help. But the helicopter misses them as they're barely noticeable under all the glacier that surrounds them. This is when the sense of hopelessness and despair kicks in and intensifies as the story progresses. Now that chances of being rescued have completely fallen to zero, they realize that they can't ignore their growing hunger anymore. They all have no choice but to eat the flesh of the dead bodies after running out of chocolates. We see how these decisions mentally challenge some of the characters. It is truly tragic as they were stranded, isolated from the world and completely in despair in every waking day, for a span of 72 days.
After being rescued, we see just how malnourished they were from the looks of their bodies. They come back home bone-skinny and weak. And the monologue in the ending scene tells us how the survivors wondered; "Why didn't we all get to come back [home]?" "What is the meaning of it all?" These are the questions asked when we observe these raw Ketu events.
Ashwini Moon J.A. Bayona also made the film "The Impossible", which is about survival and resilience -- based on real life events. Much like "Society of the Snow", it also has a sense of complete despair and there is an involuntary separation of a family (which reminds me of "The Pianist" in which Ashwini Sun Adrien Brody's character is also separated from his family in the story).
Tumblr media
"Nothing is more powerful than the human spirit" it writes on the poster.
"Nowhere", is directed by Ashwini Moon Albert Pintó, a survival thriller about a pregnant woman who finds herself isolated from society as she's drifting in the sea trapped inside a container. Because of her newborn baby, she is forced to survive and protect her child even when there is no hope. The reason why she's even in the container is because she was fleeing a society of a dystopian future in which women & children are caged and murdered (Ketu's oppressive forces and her attempt to run away from them leads her to total isolation which is another manifestation of Ketu).
Tumblr media
And we also have the film "127 Hours", directed by Ashwini Moon Danny Boyle, starring Ashwini Sun James Franco who plays Aron Ralston whose right arm becomes trapped against the canyon wall when he was on a solo canyoneering trip. When he is unable to release himself, we realize the severity of his situation. He is completely isolated and alone. His own supplies running out and he's losing his mind. The struggle for survival and one's own helplessness is a theme of Ashwini nakshatra as this eventually drives one into taking extreme measures for freedom -- as the audience sees him resorting to cutting his own arm off.
These themes seem to speak of the power and resilience of the human spirit, as emphasized in "The Impossible" and "Society of the Snow". Our ability to survive even just our own personal traumas must be a testament to our spirit being an extension of the Higher Power which is behind the happenings of all of these senseless yet significant experiences and events we go through.
It is in Ashwini that one's experience through harsh forces contributes to the spirit's evolution after total annihilation, which leads us on the path towards moksha. This is particularly why I state that Ashwini must be the last nakshatra, in my opinion of course.
Ketu is very pure by nature, and it wants to destroy impurities. The repression of one's accumulated dirt can manifest in destructive tendencies, this being a misdirected flow of Ketu energies wanting to express the very raw forces we're wired to run away from. By facing one's true inner self and embracing your entirety is how you embrace Ketu in general. But one must go deep and inward. All three Ketu nakshatras deal with getting to the roots for this reason.
Ashwini is ruled by the Ashwini Kumaras, gods of medicine and healing. Also known as divine physicians. In order to heal, one must get to the root of all disturbances in order to create the perfect medicine to heal. As Ashwini is ruled by the 1H, this does involve getting into the roots of oneself for self-liberation. Magha, on the other hand, is about tracing your own existence back to the consciousness of others -- usually family members and ancestors. Magha relates to generational trauma and shining light on that in order to be freer. Mula is symbolized by the roots of a tree, and 'mula' translates to 'roots'. It signifies ancestry roots as well, but mostly the truth. Mula is where disillusionment takes place as one gets directly into the roots of everything; going right into the galactic center -- which can also signify going right into the roots of our demons and letting all of that rotting energy burn from your body. And after this purification process, one's consciousness raises by default.
Ashwini has strong, undeveloped energies which can be tamed and grounded to be properly channeled -- in order for this to be achieved, one must let go of poisonous impurities so that they're no longer controlled/possessed by unseen forces. It is in Ashwini that we expand on the interconnection of the collective consciousness being tight, as this was secretly discovered in Uttara Bhadrapada and remembered in Revati. Ashwini nakshatra is extremely sensitive to outward energies, as are the rest of the Ketu nakshatras. Every individual's consciousness is affecting the whole world somehow. This being a Ketu theme in general describes the whole energetic field of the world and how we each play a part in it and affect each other's lives. As all Ketu nakshatras deal with getting into the roots of things, we must get dirty by digging into our own roots which are connected to the reasons for our layers of repressed emotions such as rage, numbness, resentment, hatred and grief which are commonly harboured in Ketu natives. These unconscious emotions, which form our Shadow Self, contribute to how we interact with the world and other people -- and there's always that capacity to harm or further traumatize others because of our own unchecked, hidden troubles. Mula also perfectly shows how all of the complex, interconnected traumas of everyone else are intertwining and creating more chaos and confusion in society; and the disillusionment to how the oppressive systems of society are just breeding more of these pains & troubles -- which in turn, in Ketu fashion, demonstrates just how trapped everyone is.

Toga’s AU Concept
He visited Sanctum on a whim, he was in Mistral visiting his niece Saphron after all, why not visit the school that was training it’s future protectors… Was it truly chance that it happened when he got there at that moment. That he stumbled upon the horrified students backing away from a scene from a horror movie.
A girl over a boy, her skin pale, hair a dull gold but utterly contrast by the crimson of the boy beneath her, of his blood leaking, his eyes wide in equal parts horror and confusion as the girl above him drank deeply. Her aura lighting, brightening with every drop more she drunk.
But from her eyes another purely liquid dripped, tears that contradicted the madness in her eyes, others stood confused. But not him, never him, he didn’t hesitate, to hesitate was the let others suffer. The girl moved with surprising grace, avoiding him while her features altered, matching her victim’s.
His hand reached out as he enforced his soul into him, willing thew boy’s body to mend though his soul’s light. The second he saw the student’s face gain some of it’s blush ensured his life her turned on her and launched after the girl.
She’d been smart to run instead of fight, it was a fight she wouldn’t win, couldn’t win, but escaping was just a futile. She was fast, agile and athletic yes, but he was a skilled tracker. If she was faster, he just had to rely on endurance to carry him through.
And it did…
Tumblr media
She’d been locked up, and they were debating her sentence, the sentence for an aura user with combat training, she was a threat. And perhaps he should’ve left it well enough alone, but he didn’t, and spoke to her.
And he realized the tragic madness that spurred her on. Toga Himiko was not a monster, she was a girl, gifted with a powerful Semblance, great potential and an honest easily corruptible heart. One’s semblance could influence a persons personality quite easily. After all, it was the manifest of your being, of your soul. How could you not begin to ponder its meaning, how could you not attempt to reflect it’s nature on your person, within your actions.
She was dangerous yes, unstable without a doubt… But, she was also alone, her family couldn’t understand her and feared her for it. Somewhere inside he knew she understood her sense of love was twisted. Was not the norm, after all, why else would she have cried when expressing it.
This was no monster, no villain of demon, she was a girl, a pitiful, lonely, misunderstood child who wanted nothing more then to express her love the only way she could. They way her very soul demanded she act out. All she wanted was a connection, was someone to understand her, was to have friends, family and a love that could accept her deviant nature, a nature she had no control of.
How could he call himself a Huntsman if he couldn’t save a single girl from her crippling, cruel loneliness. So he visited her, again and again, using his pull and connection with Ozpin to freeze the freeze the girl’s sentencing while he worked things out.
She started to look forward to meeting him, and he’d admit to the same, after all she was so cheerful and oddly endearing. If not for her eyes being amber instead of blue he’d had thought her one of his nieces.
Apparently after he started visiting regularly she ceased any resisting and even halted trying to escape, he started to bring her things, even cooking for the girl. Not helping but to feel she needed food a bit better then what they served here.
… He hadn’t expected her to cry, she, she couldn’t remember then last time her mom had made her food… The last time they treated her like a daughter instead of a Grimm. It angered him, it infuriated the Arc. But he held his tongue, and focused on what mattered.
On calling in favors, on talking to his family and getting his affairs in order, Jaune was many things, he was a Huntsman, next in line to be patriarch to the Arc House and a teacher at Beacon. But he was also a criminal who’d cheated his way into Beacon once upon a time. His hands had cut down men, his decisions as a leader had led to the death of innocents before as well.
Toga almost killed a boy, she needed help, needed understanding, to be given a chance. And he was all to willing to risk giving her one.

She tried to be normal, to live normally, to act normally, to love normally, she tried so hard, it was also such a struggle, other people’s normal. Other people being able to express themselves, to be themselves and be accepted for it. It wasn’t fair, it wasn’t right, why couldn’t her way be normal… Why couldn’t she be accepted?
Why couldn’t her parents understand her, accept her, but no, they told her it was wrong, that to be so fascinated by blood was wrong, sick and twisted. That she needed to be normal… Were they saying her soul was wrong? She could feel it, ever since her semblance first manifested, since she stumbled upon it so long ago when she’d licked her wound…
Blood was to the body what aura was to the soul, it was beautiful, profound and unique to every person, and she, she could understand it, could indulge, could become others through their blood, she could understand them, be them… It was her normal.
But her parents refused to accept her normal, society refused it, the world and everyone in it refused it… She obeyed, she tried, she struggled to be everyone else’s normal… Until she met him.
Saito was a amazing boy, he was kind, smart and popular, everyone liked him, everyone respected him, just like a lot of other girls she grew to like him. So often she fought the urge to ask him for some of his blood, she wanted to be like him, to know him, to Become him…
But she smothered those urges, because she knew he could not accept them, nobody could accept a freak like her so she resisted the urge. She fought to stay ‘Normal’ To be a average, cheerful, reasonable, well-mannered girl that others could accept, even if it was all a act…
But then Saito got into a fight, and seeing him like that… so wonderfully bruised and bloodied, it made what was so twisted inside go crazy. And it all came crashing down… And she was upon him, moving on not instinct but pure natural movement, as unconsciously as one breathed she gave to her semblance’s nature.
His flesh parting so easily from a mere box cutter, his aura was shattered in the fight with other beforehand. She drunk from him, his blood tasting like the sweetest of irons, so warm, so filling, so unique to him and him alone…
It was ecstasy, finally, finally she got to be herself, she was able to express her love, she felt herself turning into him. His aura, his soul, his being, she understood it so much more in that moment. She knew it was all over, her life, all her efforts, they would come crashing down. But for just a moment, she wanted it, to be her own normal, to be herself…
And then he appeared, he saved Saito, and stopped her, his gaze held so much in it, there was the anger and disgust she expected, but also something new… Pity.
His name was Jaune Arc, he was a Huntsman, a professor, and he stopped her, but he didn’t stop there. He should up to met her in her jail cell, they talked, well, he talked, asking why she did it. And eventually she explained… And, and he listened.
He didn’t understand, but… But he tried to, he asked more, and she could see it, the disgust this anger and confusion, but never was that all she saw. She could see him trying, struggling to comprehend. Time and time again he’d visit, and talk to her, ask her question she’d never considered, asked if she thought what she did was okay.
She knew it wasn’t you can’t force your love on others, but he understood, not because it was normal to him, or because he was like her. No, because he tried to do what nobody else did… He tried to understand her.
He wanted to help her, and then he asked.
“Toga, I need to hear you say it, where you trying to kill Saito?” She knew he needed to hear her say it, so she did.
“No, I just, I wanted to express my love…” And then he told her.
“Toga, you’re not normal, but that’s okay, everyone is different, it’s what makes us unique, what makes life beautiful.” He hugged her.
Tumblr media
“You’re not a monster, or a Grimm, your human, and you’ve been through so much.” He was warm… The words slipped from her mouth.
“Please, can I, can I drink your blood.” He paused and she knew she’d be rejected, pushed away and left alone…
“Toga, listen.” But she wasn’t rejected, pushed away, instead the man met her gaze, a sternness in his gaze but also a sympathy, one she’d never seen before.
“You don’t behave like others, and it can be dangerous.” She knew that, of course she did.
“But it doesn’t have to be.” He begun to glow, a soft, kind but powerful white.
“I know, you can help people, more than even I can with your semblance.” His big, calloused hand landed on her head.
“The same way you can take other’s blood, if you gave your love back, you could help so many people.” She shook, she’d thought that too, but, but never hoped others would, would.
“You’re not a monster, twisted or evil Toga, your just different, your semblance, your soul, your beautiful.” It was the smile of a father, of someone who genuinely wanted nothing more than to help her, then to comfort the girl who’d spent her entire if not short life being rejected by others.
“Himiko, I can’t just let you free, unfortunately the law is very clear on that.” She saw the sadness, the anger in his eyes, it was for her sake. But soon enough they were both overtaken by what she would come to know was his most prominent trait, Determination.
“If you agree to it, to come to Vale you can be put on Probation, under my supervision. I’’ be your guardian and probationary officer.” She knew her parents must’ve given up their rights to her by the slight anger that burned in his eyes.
“We’ll attend therapy lessons and you’ll be taught about aura control by me.” He reached into his pocket and pulled it out then, a vial, the most beautiful shade of red.
“Toga, I know the way you view things are different then mine own, but that doesn’t mean you can’t understand me, you lived in this world, acted appropriately for it as well. You understand how the general public views love.” He offered her the vial, the beautiful crimson flowing with his aura, with his soul.
“I can’t promise others will accept your views, or even try, but I promise, at the very least I will do everything I can to make a environment you can be yourself in… And that I’ll try my best to understand you.” She reached, her fingers grazing the glass, the vial warm… Her heart pounded as she looked to the beautiful crimson.
Slowly, cautiously she undid the top, he never looked away from her, never tore his gaze from the sight, there was no rejection as she took him into her. As she felt his soul through his aura, as his being and iron went down her throat becoming one with her.
She felt herself change, becoming him, her pale ash-blonde hair becoming a shade of livid golden-wheat, her fair skin pinking with a healthy flush. The slits of her pupils dilating, the Faunus trait vanishing as her pupils rounded and turned the most expressive blue.
Her aura converting, her soul changing and being replicating that as her very body matched the new soul she was temporarily hosting. And he looked at her through it all, reaching out and patting her head, the smile was genuine.
“If this is how you want to be that’s fine, I’ll learn to get used to it, but please, don’t stop being yourself, even if your appearance changes.” From his hand aura surged into her, his aura, given freely, pure and unfiltered.
Her answer finally came alongside the tears.
“Yes.”

She rushed down the hall from her room, excited for the day she’d looked forward to for so long, she couldn’t wait. Reaching the kitchen she found three people there, her sister and brother, Ren and Nora, two others he’d taken under his wing.
At the stove flipping the immense amount of pancakes the Valkyrie craved was Jaune, they waved to her, well Jaune and Nora did. Ren sat patiently at his seat enjoying his tea, she sat there beside them, besides two people who knew her, truly knew her, who accepted her almost as much as Jaune.
Two simple years was all she spent with him, but in those two years she’d felt more joy, more acceptance then ever before. She’d realized truths about herself and flaws in her actions.
She was free to express her love, but not to enforce it on others, to take from people who did not want to return her affections. It was wrong, cruel and that act whether it be her form of expressing love or ordinary expression of it by others were no less disgusting.
She’d help so many people with her feelings though, a little blood and she’d given so much back in turn, to children who needed it, to people with unique cases and blood types meant nothing to her semblance with regular people. She couldn’t help but want to help, even if Jaune worried, she loved him for that… She loved him, loved him more then others. More then anyone else.
But it wasn’t the same type of love she always felt, always knew, no, this was different, she wanted to both love him and be loved by him. To be loved as Toga Himiko, by Jaune, she didn’t want him to conform to her standard of love.
It wouldn’t be fair, it’d be like who she was forced to follow the standard society before she met him, she wanted to love Jaune as herself but also as him whenever the fancy struck her. But she also wanted to love him as Ren did, as Nora did, as so many of his students did…
And soon, she would be able to, today would be the start of it, a plated landed in front of her then, and looking up she met his smile.
Tumblr media
“Are you ready Toga, your three will be trying out for Beacon today after all. So you all need to eat up.” He served her her breakfast, more than Ren’s but nothing near the mountain of pancakes he placed before her eccentric sister. But then again the pile her put before himself was barely any smaller. He needed it after all, because he regularly gave her blood, regularly accepted her form of expressing it and indulged that aspect of her.
She loved him for it, wanted to love him even more, even deeper, more intimately then any other, and once she passed Initiation she would. She only hoped that when she did succeed, her partner would be as understanding as her.
Tumblr media
Maybe even being able to understand her love, Or Better Yet! Maybe They’ll Love Jaune As Much As She Does! Oh ‘Giggle’ she meant Professor Arc.

I'm home
Sounds like a dream part 2
Gator Tillman x fem!reader
Contents; angst, fluff, mother!reader, dad!gator
Summary; After finding out about his son, Gator can't deal with prison life. So he takes matters into his own hands.
Even with good behaviour, Gator isn't getting out of prison any time soon. He'd very much like to. Not for selfish reasons like they were for the first two years of his sentence. Now, he just wants to be there to support his family. His son.
Not a day goes by where he doesn't think of both Y/n and Alex. The only two people that really give his life meaning. Every day is filled with regret and remorse for what he's done. For what he thought he should've done. Now, it all seems insane to him. No matter how much he rants to the guards, who surprisingly haven't quit their jobs, he's just stuck. Nothing he can do.
Y/n's words still ring in his ears. "He reminds me of you in a way because he–"
Gator still wonders what she was about to say. Even three years later, it's still on his mind.
Three years, that's right, since he last got visited by Y/n and Alex. Another three years of crippling loneliness. Another three years with the added pain that he'll never know truly what his son looks like. That's the reason why he cries himself to sleep most nights.
He doesn't want to seem weak, so he keeps noise to a minimum, facing the wall. He can't control when the tears fall each time he thinks about it. He'll never see his son, and he'll never see Y/n again.
That's when, one night, Gator has a terrible thought. One that never even crossed his mind before, shockingly. It's a horrible idea, of course. An idea that most likely cannot be executed in his state. But he thinks it. And he likes the thought of it. I'm gonna break out.
The thought resonates with him for a long while. But each day that goes by, it seems more and more impossible for him. His dream life is just out of reach.
Y/n, with her five year old at her hip, enters the prison. It's been long enough since she's visited the father of her child, so it's only right that she sees him. Plus, Alex is old enough now to talk to his daddy properly. She wants Gator to have that experience of having a conversation with him. She knows it will make him feel better.
She approaches the front desk and smiles at the woman there, who doesn't seem as friendly. She looks up to Y/n, shooting her a glare as if to ask what she wants.
"Uh, hi! I'm here to visit Gator Tillman. Is he available?" Y/n says nervously under the receptionist's judging stare.
"No." She bluntly replies.
"Why not?"
"Haven't you heard?" The woman questions, as if obvious.
"Heard what?"
"Gator Tillman escaped."
Y/n leaves the prison in shock. How did he manage that!? Why did he escape!? She carefully puts Alex in his car seat before getting in the front of her car. She drove up here to visit Gator. It's somewhat of a holiday. Where is she gonna find her son's father?
Gator had received a lot of help. Luckily, he surrounded himself with the right kind of guys for him in jail. Ones who had been planning a breakout for years. Gator was allowed to tag along, so he quickly found himself on a bus to Chicago. Or at least he hopes so.
On the bus, he met a sweet woman named Georgia. She was on the way to Chicago and helped him get there. But that's as far as she could do. With the departure of Georgia and the sudden realisation that he's alone, blind, in a city he doesn't know he feels a sense of panic. He doesn't even know where Y/n lives.
Y/n is doing the dishes while Alex sits at the kitchen counter with a few pillows to act as a booster seat. He's drawing with the pack of pencils his mother recently bought for him, humming along to whatever song is playing on the radio that he doesn't recognise.
"Mommy, what should I draw next to the tiger eating an apple?" Alex asks. He looks over to Y/n, a bright smile on his face like usual as he kicks his legs happily.
"How about the tree where the apple came from?" Y/n suggests. "That way, you can draw an animal in the tree."
"That's a good idea. Thank you, Mommy."
When the doorbell rings, Y/n huffs, taking off the washing up gloves.
"Ooh! Who is it?"
"I don't know, sweetie. Wait here." She assures, kissing Alex's forehead as she walks by. The doorbell rings again and she shouts out to whoever is at the door that she's coming. Damn, this person is impatient.
Looking through the peephole, her eyes widen. She debates whether she wants to open the door or not, ultimately deciding to just do it...
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"I thought I'd drop by. Does a lovely lady like you need any help?" It's Devon, a guy she knows from work but often has to avoid.
"I never gave you my address." Y/n narrows her eyes at him, feeling slightly creeped out.
"Oh, I know." He chuckles. "I asked around."
"Who told you?"
"Charlotte. Nice girl. Didn't question it."
Goddammit, Charlie... She's Y/n's closest friend at work and the best friend she has as of moving to Chicago. She's a little bit ditzy but insanely friendly and sweet. It's no wonder she gave Y/n's address to Devon, no questions asked.
"Why did you ask people for where I live?" She says, hand on the door and having to physically restrain herself from slamming the door in his face.
"Well, I understand being a single mom wouldn't be easy. So... I wondered if you need any help with anything at all." He flashes a grin, as if that would charm her. Rather the opposite.
"I think I've got it under control. You can go." Y/n replies, pulling a face. Devon starts to speak again, but she quickly shuts the door and locks it. She heads back to the kitchen to continue washing up.
"Mommy, do you like my tree? I added a bird in it with a nest." Alex says, pushing the piece of paper in her direction.
"Aw, it's beautiful, baby." She replies, petting his hair gently. "Are you done, or are you gonna add more?"
"More! Can you help?"
"Something climbing the tree, maybe? Like a cat?"
"Ooh! Thank you, Mommy."
"Of course, sweetheart, of course." She replies gently, giving him a forehead kiss and walking over to the sink.
Devon, to say the least, is disappointed. Although, it's not a big deal. There's several other women he could and would go for. He shoves his hands in his pockets as he makes his way down the street.
The winter air is chilly and bitter, nipping at the skin of his face and making his eyes water. He doesn't want to be outside for that much longer, so he pulls out his phone to text someone, anyone, to see if they're free.
Turning a corner close to the building beside him, Devon bumps into someone. He staggers and looks up from his phone. "Hey! Watch where you're goin'!" Devon shouts, sending his text and putting it back in his pocket.
"I can't." Gator replies, trying to steady himself from the ground. That's when Devon realises he's knocked over a blind person.
"Shit– sorry, man. Didn't notice." Devon says, grabbing Gator's wrist to help him stand up.
"S'all good." Gator murmurs, palm flat against the wall to familiarise himself. "D'you mind helping me get somewhere?"
"Yeah, go on."
"An apartment complex should be nearby if I'm in the right place. One apparently with loads of flowers outside." Gator recalls.
"Oh, I just been there." Devon says, helping Gator around the corner. "Go straight down that sidewalk, and it's on your right."
Devon may be nice enough to give the directions, but he's not nice enough to help Gator get there. He's not that kind of guy. He wouldn't take that much time out of his day to help some random guy. So with that, he walks off.
"Oh, thank you! Do you, uh–" Gator trails off, hearing him walk away. "Hey–"
Gator huffs, left alone. He begins to make his way forward again. He's been on the run for months now, trying to find his way to his family. For the most part, he's failed this goal. But after getting a lead of her address, he hasn't stopped hoping to find them both. Now, he's so close he can just feel it. He feels that familiar tingling in his stomach.
The only things he hears are the wind rushing by his ears and the rolling sound of his mobility cane on the jagged sidewalk. Mutters of people walking by remind him to tug his hood further over his head. He doesn't want any chance of being caught. Not now.
He finally feels glass instead of brick. Windows... to the apartment complex? He finds the handle of a door and hopes that he's there.
Once inside, he confronts the dilemma that is finding the right apartment number. He knows it's number 34. He's definitely sure. He needs help...
Gator knocks at the first door he can find, hoping to encounter a nice person. He waits for a moment and hears the door unlock and swing open.
"Can I help you?" A woman's voice says.
"Yeah!" Gator replies. "Please. Couldja help me find apartment 34?"
"Oh, yeah, of course. Let's go to the elevator." She replies. Gator is relieved. He's finally made it, right?
After being guided into the elevator and shown down a hallway, the woman taps him to stop him. She guides his hand to the right door and bids her farewell.
Y/n is getting Alex ready for school when she hears an unrhythmic knock at the door. She sits Alex down on the sofa and allows him to watch the TV for a little bit longer while she goes to see who it is.
She's a lot more shocked to look through the peephole this time. But she rushes to open the door quickly, swinging it open with a little too much force.
"Gator!? What are you– I went to visit you a few months ago and you wasn't there! Alex was so disappointed."
"I know, I know. I'm sorry. I'm here now." He reaches out, hand brushing against Y/n's ear, despite him aiming to find her cheek. "I'm home."
"You can't be here.." She replies reluctantly. "You broke out of jail! I mean– what if I get in trouble just for knowing you? For harbouring you from the cops?"
"I broke out to be with you." Gator's voice cracks. "To be here for Alex. Please."
Y/n knows what's safe for Alex. She does. But the desperation in Gator's voice really gets to her. She can imagine he's been through a lot. And he's had to find her blindly. She was confused with how Devon found her address, but Gator? That's a whole other level. She reaches out for him, arms sliding around him and gently pulling him close.
"You're home." She murmurs.
"Really?"
"Really." She adds. She pressed a gentle kiss to Gator's jaw. "The fact you broke out of jail to be here for me and Alex means alot."
"So you'll be with me again? I've made it up to you?" He asks pleasingly. He needs this to be true.
"I'm prepared to be with you." She replies, cupping his cheek in her hand softly. "If you're here for me, I'm here for you."

Realization of the Day:
(⚠ huge manga spoilers for anime only below)
Yami is an actually pretty darn tragic character if you take five mins to think about it and take a good look at his history; I managed a quote based on this as a joke here, but he's indeed covered nearly every sad and tragic backstory trope in the book.
Let's see... he lost his mother who died from childbirth when he's 5-6 years old, and spent the better part of his childhood on pointless and intense training by his abusive, sexist, daughter-beater, war obsessed father; and then at the age of 13 said father forced a freaking drug on his baby sister and Yami had to witness the massacre of their clan by her hand before he took down his father for once and all to protect her before he stopped her and held the weight of all her crimes on his shoulders and left his hometown to never return again.
Then... he shipwrecked, barely surviving death, on an unwelcoming land and suffered from language barrier, culture shock, xenophobia and about every typical "Why Clover Kingdom is the Worst Kingdom in the World" key point, all lasted for two years until he turned 15 and recieved his grimoire, but prior and shortly after to it Yami was pretty much on his own with no one else to rely on or a home to return to.
The... things got better, no? He met the Faust Bros, he met Julius, he was offered a roof to sleep under and a chance to start fresh; 15 years lad who's already suffered a lot but ready to live and learn against all the odds with Nacht as his partner in crime and Morgen as his best friend... and then they both got screwed up years later when Yami, at the age of 18, wasn't around, so he only got to face the loss through a visit to the latter's grave while the former grieved his brother's death, and Yami never stopped smoking ever since.
It was right then and there when Yami decided, enough's enough, and promised to create a squad that became a home for the unlucky who shared some of Yami's experience in his past, be it the abusive family, lost of a beloved one, crippling loneliness, crime burdens, being unfit to the norms, and the list goes on. My favorite example is a threeway tie between Noelle, who is pretty much Ichika if Ichika didn't have an amazing brother, and Gauche, whose first meeting with Yami makes a hell lot of sense now that we know Yami also had a sister he threw his life for her sake, and finally Nero, who will never be able to return to her old life and is fairly content about it because she's too loyal to the person she loves to cry over homesickness.
Yami has been there, done that, experienced those, and is still going through some TraumaWorthyBullshit™ right now, and while he rarely shows negative signs of what he's been through, I like to think that he offers the Black Bulls what he always wanted to be offered.
That, by accepting them and letting them live however they want, but above all, by giving them a safe place to belong to.
Tumblr media
In short, the Black Bulls is Yami's way to deal with the bullshit that's his lifetime worth of trauma. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Why Duncan is always horny
When browsing the Community Reddit page to read about Duncan, I came across a DVD Commentary Observation post on the S1E05 'Advanced Criminal Law'. Source of the Reddit post is at the end. To cite Dan Harmon:
"Andrew [Guest] and I wrote a lot of this episode on the set. It went through a lot of changes. Originally, Duncan had just published a paper called “Born to Leave” about how women always left men."
It's implied that the break-up he suffered left a lasting negative emotional impact on his view of relationships and love in general. He holds bitter feelings enough to write a paper on it. This could translate to a fear of commitment stemming from the heartbreak of a relationship failure. This is also aided knowing his turbulent upbringing under an abusive and absent father.
Thus, Duncan's fear of commitment is what drives his desperation for sexual attention without emotional attachment. This is said in relation to how he is often normally portrayed as only being interested in hooking up with women he finds sexually attractive or appealing, notably Britta and Slater.
It becomes a way for him to avoid deeper emotional involvement whilst also seeking temporary relief from the pain of navigating post-break up loneliness. In other words, he chases sexual attention as a means to cope with his crippling loneliness and low-self esteem, which is demonstrated by his tendency to use self-depreciating humour in his interactions with Jeff.
It explains why he focuses on the superficial aspects of women rather than being interested in forming a meaningful relationship and emotional connection with one. He may feel inadequate, and seeks external validation in the form of casual sexual relationships to compensate for it. Subsequently, his abuse of alcohol may in turn be a method of numbing the pain he feels of a life devoid of love.

Something about the stories of Trigun & Hadestown
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something about the story of Orpheus and Eurydice being retold for generations. Something about the story of Trigun getting to be told in three different versions (four, if you consider that there are two mangas).
Something about red flowers being the key symbol in Hadestown, with Orpheus singing dead trees to life and bloom in a gesture of undying hope. Something about Rem's sacrifice turning the blossom of a red geranium into a symbol of determination and kindness.
Something about the lost gentleness and bliss of spring. Something about the lost paradise of the once prosperous Earth, which forced the mankind to eplore the frontiers of distant galaxies.
Something about the souls of the dead in Hadestown living with their heads bent down, silenced by their own fear and indifference. Something about the people of Gunsmoke doing the same, believing there's no other choice but to succumb to violence and afraid to raise their voices and speak out against it.
Something about both stories commenting upon how humanity is sacrificed for the sake of survival.
Something about Hades, the King of the Mine, being crippled and blinded by his greed and loneliness and despair and jealousy untill he can't see nor recognise anything other than the needs of the Underworld, but really just his own. Something about Knives being driven by the fear he hides deep within himself, only caring about Vash and their sisters and claiming it's the good of the plantkind that he aspires to achieve, but in actuality just nurturing his own old hurt.
Something about them both loving to the point of obsession and suffocating the ones they love with how they portray what is best for them.
Something about Persephone being blinded by a river of wine, living in an Oblivion and trying to drown her sorrow in alcohol. Something about Vash's issues with alcoholism deteriorating upon the realisation that him going to confront Knives is a march made towards ruin and despair, his goals as good as suicidal.
Something about the Fates always singing in the back of your mind, defining the outlines of people's lives. Something about Knives and Vash's sisters in a hive mind deciding on the fate of humanity in relation to their kind at the end of the story.
Something about each of the two narratives showing how life and love endures, even in trying times.
Something about hunger and biting the hand that feeds because you're starving for more. Something about taking what you can get and making the most of it. Something about the people of No Man's Land pushing the plants to their physical limit and sentencing them to agony of the last run because they see no other option.
Something about 'What you gonna do when the chips are down, / Now that the chips are down?' Something about the pods of the project SEEDS crash-landing on a barren and desolate planet.
Something about the chorus singing 'Cast your eyes to heaven / You get a knife in the back!/ Nobody's righteous, / Nobody's proud, / Nobody's innocent'. Something about how Wolfwood dies the instant he finally commits to Vash's ideals, for the first time in his life choosing to believe.
Something about Orpheus teaching Eurydice that there's still hope for the better. Something about Wolfwood starting to regain his trust in humanity through Vash.
Something about Orpheus being capable of seeing how the world could be, in spite of the way that it was. Something about Vash stubbornly refusing to stop believing there's inherent goodness in every person's soul.
Something about how Eurydice is destined to die in each telling of the myth because the story is non-existent without Orpheus' loss of her. Something about how Wolfwood is doomed by the narrative, being a dead man walking since the very beginning.
Something about Orpheus leading his one true love out of Hell. Something about Wolfwood leading Vash in instead, guiding him to his end.
Something about Orpheus singing 'Wait for me!' on his way down under the ground. Something about Vash rushing to that smoking ruin which the Hopeland Orphanage became in order to help Wolfwood, fearing that he's late.
Something about Orpheus looking back. Something about Vash bringing his century-and-a-half long run from every and all attachments to a hault and finally stopping to look at the person before him, for the first time in his life allowing himself to believe in a future spent together with someone.
Something about Orpheus losing Eurydice the moment he turns to cast a glance behind him. Something about how the next thing Vash learns after admitting that he wants to spend his tomorrows with Wolfwood by his side is that Wolfwood is dying.
Something about Orpheus reaching the end of the road out of the Underworld all alone. Something about Vash ending his journey the same way.
Something about knowing how the story ends and still beginning to sing it again, as if it might turn out this time. Something about how 'far from here, in a distant time and place, the same song of humanity... still sang'.
Something about love. Something about grief. Something about tragedies.
Something about how, after all, we're still singing.
There's something profoundly meaningful to be said about all this, and maybe some day I will be insightful and witty enough to put my scrambled thoughts into neatly-organised, clear-cut sentences, but for now it will be like that.

let it happen // sevika
summary: sevika rarely— if ever, thought of herself as a romantic. yet one spontaneous blind date has the potential to alter her entire perspective on romance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warning: mentions of alcohol, smoking & mentions of violence, suggestive-ish language, reader prefers to isolate, fluff, light angst, trust & commitment issues
pairing: sevika x fem reader
word count: 2.9k
a/n: been very mia as of late but i’m trying to do better— anyways let us come together in celebration of sevika bc why not (also not proofread so forgive me for any errors)
Tumblr media
did she look dumb? alright, she felt very dumb. sevika couldn’t remember the last time she’d been on a date excluding her standard garden escapades. “dates” for her usually ended in sex or more often than not violence, with a substantial amount of damage done to a poor fellow. either way, sevika preferred to steer clear of them— she was perfectly content with where she was in life.
what more could a woman ask for?
she seemingly had it all, money, power, and influence, it was a rare sight to come by. all she had to do was look and there wasn’t a moment of hesitancy. zaunities would make space for her simply because of what she symbolized. she sparked crippling fear even in the biggest street criminals with the mere whisper of her name. despite all of this there was a gaping, growing void that plagued sevika’s brain. it kept her up at night, and like a poison crept into every crack and crevice of her mind. it was complete and utter loneliness.
now sevika didn’t mind being alone. being surrounded by a bunch of yes men all day called for it, yet the feeling soon transformed into a pervading, pestering sense that simply wouldn’t leave her alone. it couldn’t be put out with visits to the garden, nor the fury of her fists against flesh. hence she resorted to unconventional means…..like a date.
the idea wasn’t hers— well not entirely. the cloud of despair seemed to loom over sevika, following her wherever she went. it caught the attention of most people yet the majority were too afraid to bring it up. however the deeper her loneliness grew the more it provoked a reaction, drawing the attention of a certain blue-haired menace.
“sevika, pal.…looking miserable as ever. you know i’ve been thinking about you.” jinx’s voice felt nails on chalkboard, posing as yet another distraction for the second in command.
“fuck off jinx,” she spat, keeping her eyes plastered on the stack of paperwork in front of her. and it only earned obnoxious laughter in return. jinx sauntered over to the desk, jumping on top as she knocked a few papers to the ground.
“i’ve always wondered why it is you are the way you are…. and i’ve finally cracked it.” sevika wanted to send her away although a part of her was interested in whatever nonsensical theory jinx had concocted. hence she decided to entertain it, looking up from her paperwork for the first time.
“you’re lonely!” she exclaimed, suppressing a pout that made it’s way to her eyes instead of her lips. “it’s sad i mean when’s the last time you’ve even been on a date?” sevika’s gray eyes darkened. her plush lips pressed up into a hard line as she glared back, red seeping into the corners of her vision. jinx could practically detect the anger emitting from the older woman yet she pushed on.
“i’m serious. all that negative energy you have bottled up inside? it’s not healthy and it’s bad for business.” fervent heat rose in sevika’s cheeks. her body went numb against their chair as jinx gazed back, her eyes narrowing into thin slits. she felt like she was being analyzed, inspected even. as if every inch of her being was put on display to be picked apart by some kid.
“i don’t have time for this,” she spoke, her tone low but assertive. secretly she hoped jinx would take it as a sign and spare her. the room fell quiet with faint sounds of sevika’s rapid heartbeat permeating it.
jinx’s voice fell to a whisper as she leaned in,  “i know someone— she isn’t hopped up on shimmer and she’s single. plus i think she might actually be interested in you. what do you say?” for a moment there was an ounce of sincerity in her voice that nearly alarmed sevika. she felt like she was losing it- jinx was the last person she’d ever imagine taking dating advice from. this was the same headstrong kid that couldn’t follow a simple order, and nevertheless, here she was offering sevika a lesson in romance.
now, on a regular day, the predictable answer would be a cold, firm no— with not a semblance of doubt or hesitancy in sight. however, this was no typical day, at least not in sevika’s eyes. she couldn’t remember if it was the weather? or maybe it was her arm? she could’ve sworn something off, anything to explain the words that left her lips that day. thus whatever she’d said had landed her on a blind date that she was bound to regret.
dread lined the pit of her stomach, gnawing on any piece of sanity sevika had left. loud music and obnoxious laughs boomed through the bar as she walked in, drawing glances her way. her eyes focused on a small table in the corner of the room, the very place she was supposed to meet her “match.” it was empty, although sevika couldn’t blame her date for that entirely. she made no movement towards it and she had no intention of doing so, it was almost like she couldn’t muster enough strength to.
instead, she exerted all of her strength on the small bouquet that lay in her palm. squeezing the green stems to a pulp. maybe it wasn’t too late— if she turned back now no one would even notice. and for those who did it would be easy to silence them. without a second thought, she inched towards the door, glancing back once more at the empty table that awaited her. a part of her felt relieved that her date hadn’t bothered to show, sparing her any sort of guilt for bailing.
“sevika!”
an unfamiliar voice came from behind stopping her dead in her tracks. it was the complete opposite of her own, and if it hadn’t been for the proximity she would’ve missed it entirely. sevika turned to meet the source of the voice, coming face to face with a woman who she’d never seen before. it was her job to remember every speck in the undercity, especially those who lived in it. yet she didn’t have the slightest clue as to who the mystery woman was, although she had a feeling it wouldn’t remain that way for long.
“and you are…?”
“y/n. i got restless so i went ahead and bought us some drinks,” you chirped, pushing the blue cocktail into her arms before approaching the small table. the sweet smell of perfume— your perfume wafted in the air, filling sevika’s nostrils as she watched. grey eyes roaming over the entirety of your figure in one swift motion.
“it’s not polite to keep a girl waiting,” you called, breaking sevika from her trance. for a moment her ears darkened, allowing a small smirk to take shape on her lips. people don’t speak to her like that— unless they have some sort of death wish. so without thought or any real regard for her status. it was as shocking as it was provoking. everything about you seemed like it yearned to contradict this, and it left sevika more enticed than she ever thought possible.
she pulled out a chair, refusing to break eye contact as she sat down, “there’s isn’t much use in introducing myself, you should tell me about yourself.”
“i could but introductions are boring, no?” you plucked a flower from her grasp bringing it to your nostrils as you inhaled. “i mean you find out about a person over time, can’t just spill it all at once.”
“what’s wrong with that?”
“it would ruin the suspense,” you whispered, dropping your voice down to a teasingly low level. meanwhile, the volume inside the bar seemed to stir with heated arguments reverberating against the walls. ultimately eating away at your patience with each slight movement. despite this, sevika's attention remained fixated on you even more so as the noise amplified.
she produced a brown cigar, bringing it to her umber lips, “there are other ways and places that don’t involve as many distractions.” the suggestion fell from her lips so casually that it practically choked you. her experience was extensive and it was evident in the way she spoke to you— hell even in the way she looked at you.
“trying to get into my pants already? jinx was right, you are fast.”
“i wouldn’t call it that,” sevika shrugged nonchalantly, bringing a lighter to her mouth.
“….you wouldn’t?” she toyed with the tobacco allowing it to fumble around on the tips of her lips as you observed. it was small yet subtle drawing you in further the longer you awaited her response.
“no. if i really wanted to fuck you it would take a lot less than a couple of flowers to do it.” her eyes trailed back up towards yours, and a fierce but clouded gaze lay behind them making her impossible to read. hence, the only thing you were truly sure of was the tangible presence of arousal mounting in between the two of you.
“a sex addict and she’s confident? i feel like i’ve won the lottery” you smirked, “we should skip to the fun part.”
sevika hummed, taking a long drag of her cigar “what would that be?”
“a game. we get to ask each other any question and the other person must answer truthfully…or be faced with chugging a glass of whatever this stuff is.” you lifted the clear glass from the table, in it was a variety of alarming chemicals all mixed into one cocktail to feed customer’s raging addictions.
“you in?”
without another word sevika nodded as she leaned forward, allowing the strong fumes of tobacco and liquor to absorb into the air. she looked over you once more, her gaze briefly landing on your lips. she held them there while she thought, taking advantage of the short but fervent silence between the two of you. and for once she was able to simply take you in for the first time this evening. examining the subtle ways in which your brows furrowed and the almost delicate nature of your beauty. it was truly unlike anything she’d ever witnessed and it puzzled her.
“why haven’t i seen you before?”
you placed a hand under your chin, fiddling with the bright petals from the bouquet, “i don’t go out very much unless it’s for work. being around large groups of people drains me so i have others do my bidding.”
sevika’s eyes narrowed, more so in curiosity than shock. you carried yourself with a certain detachment that she couldn’t quite pinpoint the source of it until now. you chose to isolate yourself from others willingly, yet why put yourself out there for some date? let alone with someone who held the reputation she did? her mind buzzed with questions that she so desperately wanted you to answer but kept on the surface of her tongue.
“alright my turn, why’d you try and bail on me earlier?”
sevika sighed taking another drag of her cigar, “i don’t know.”
“wrong answer.” you exclaimed, sliding the toxic cocktail her way. sevika caught it with her free hand, moving it to the side before she leaned forward. testing the imaginary boundary between you. when there was no protest she moved forward even closer, catching a whiff of your saccharine smell.
“it’s not bullshit, y/n. i’m not used to this, alright? it’s stupid but i felt like i was saving us both from disappointment.” you could’ve sworn there was some indicator of guilt in her voice. maybe it was the change in pitch, the ardent nature of her tone or how fast she spoke— but the passion was apparent and it made your heart skip. prompting you to push the line even further.
“but thinking like that…” you whispered, eyes flickering between hers, “does it make you happy?” hints of raw vulnerability flashed behind sevika’s silvery eyes. they revealed themselves in slight glimpses but were soon overcome by a hazy film that shut them out entirely.
“it’s not your turn,” sevika muttered, her voice firm and cold. she leaned back in her seat allowing the boundary to fester and evolve. deeply you wanted to reel her back in but it wasn’t your place— you hardly even knew her. thus you let her go, allowing the moment to pass by in complete and utter silence.
she cleared her throat, forcing out the next question, “why’d jinx set us up?”
“i asked her to. there’s no ulterior motive, i swear, i just thought you were hot and i didn’t know how to approach you.” heat rushed to your cheeks as sevika’s became fiercely intense and even vaguer. it was impossible to tell if you’d made a fool of yourself or fueled her ego.
“you were scared?”
“no— more so intimidated,” you stammered, biting at your lip, “did you see how everyone turned to look at you when you walked in? it’s like this imaginary cloud of dominance just follows you everywhere you go but don’t get me wrong it’s extremely attractive, i think it’s what drew me to you in the first place.”
sevika couldn’t help but allow her smirk to seep through. it was nice to know that she had some sort of effect on you, strong enough to pull you out of your comfortable haven. she’d never heard someone describe her power as something so complex but almost enticing? it warmed her heart in a way that she wasn’t entirely used to, yet she wasn’t opposed to it.
“why are you staring at me like that?”
sevika smiled, the expression just barely reaching her eyes, “it's interesting…the way you see me. most people would disagree with the last part but forget it, it’s your turn.”
you averted her gaze, keeping your eyes down as you whispered “are you a sex addict?”
“what?” sevika sputtered, almost choking on her saliva.
you began, “you know women…they talk and i’ve heard that you happen to have a long repertoire of girls whom you’ve slept with— which is okay i’m not judging, just curious….” sevika fought to contain her laughter, watching as you shifted in your seat awaiting a response. you refused to look up at her only made her stomach tighten even more.
“i’d love to answer that question for you but i think certain things are better explained visually than through—“
CRASH!
a loud bang echoed throughout the bar followed by the striking of wooden utensils against the group. when you looked across the bar you saw two figures, their faces obscured, wrestling towards the ground with a budding crowd looming. onlookers egged the two men on as they surrounded them. the putrid aroma of sweat mixed with blood and alcohol filled the room, sending you into a tailspin. your hands flew to your ears as you clamped down on them, praying that it would be enough to block out the rampant sounds of screams and violent punches.
at first, sevika was too consumed by the fight to notice, she wanted to storm over in hopes of breaking it up when she took note of your disdain. the way your body pulled away relying on itself for support. a pang of sharp guilt ricocheted against her chest sending her into action.
“let me take you home,” she cooed, reaching for your hand across the table. there she took it in hers momentarily and guided you outside, away from the explosive fight. her hand was soft, warmer than anything you’d expected. subconsciously you clung to it, taking in the small price of warmth it provided you. there were no words exchanged, rather sevika followed you on a path that she assumed was leading back to your home. silently, she walked by you every once in while allowing her gaze to find yours to assure that you were okay.
“thank you,” you whispered, although it was low enough that you were unsure if she could hear it. the sky presented itself as a mixture of violet and cerulean colors, unlike anything either of you had seen. it wrapped around you in the form of a comforting lull, pulling you closer to sevika. she could feel parts of your body subtly brushing against hers yet she welcomed it, refusing to pull away.
“i know the answer,” sevika hummed following you towards a small adobe that without a doubt belonged to you. it was small and unrecognizable but simultaneously complex. it was lit by bright industrial lights that aligned the entrance. each part of it seemed more personal than the next, prompting sevika to believe that you must’ve created yourself.
you glanced back over at her, “hm?”
“inside, when you asked me if being alone made me happy? i know it now.” a small grin took shape on the corners of your lips as you pressed up on your toes. placing a light kiss on the underside of sevika’s jaw. it wasn’t your intention to figure out her answer, all that truly mattered is that she knew the answer. whether it involved you or not.
“glad i could help you figure it out…i would invite you inside for some over-the-top goodbye sex but a part of me feels like this won’t be the last i see of you,” you smirked, walking up the entrance towards your door. silently sevika watched, a deep fondness filling her heart beyond anything she’d ever known. yet she didn’t feel like flailing— she felt calmer than ever allowing herself to truly imagine a future in which she’d experience love for all of its entirety.

Depression's a bitch. If you haven't experienced it for yourself - good. Keep it that way. If you have, you might be able to read the last story parts of Lone Trail and draw some measure of solace from them, the knowledge that whoever was writing it Got It.
There's more I have to say about this below but I don't want to be too much of a bother so let's see if I get this line break thing to work right.
Lone Trail is a strong event all around but it is without any doubt at its strongest when it grapples with the themes of isolation, loneliness and alienation that isn't (just) the simple absence of physical comfort from the presence of another human being.
It's this, the isolated alienation from everyone and everything around you that is core to many - not all, it never is the same for everyone - depressive expressions for people around the world. That constant feeling of being stuck behind a glass wall, able to see how things could be, how things should be, but not being able to actually get there.
This feeling, it often and easily leads to raging against a fate that is hard to see as anything but a crippling defect. It makes you wish you could feel nothing, rather than feel like that. To be a thing of clockwork, simple cause and effect.
In those moments, it is also altogether too easy to ask yourself "but what is life worth, then?" and in the depths of that depression not being able to come up an answer. It is an illness, depression, it is maladaptive.
Tumblr media
When I read this, I was almost giddy. Someone McFucking Got It.
It is no less than my answer to struggle with chronic illnesses. That this is not just, that this is not fair, that this is not good, but that it simply *is*, and that my life experience is not inherently lessened or less worthy for it.
It is being able to put your faith in other people who offer a helping hand and trust their perception - of you, or your situation - over your own, no matter how improbable or implausible or even stupid their assessment is (or seems to be. Never forget: Depression is a chronic illness that severely and negatively warps your ability to self-assess.)
There is no grand fanfare for getting it right, either. There's no miracle cure. Life goes on, and we all age in real time.
But it answers the question of "what is life worth, then?". Living, existing, being, continuing on in the face of often very literal pain or metaphorical leaden weights on your heart and shoulders, it is in and of itself good enough. One might not like their life, but it is still worth living.
And I am glad to see that in Arknights, too. To see someone cut off from their culture, their former friends and their dreams, who is on the very literal threshold of giving in to their suicidal ideation, taking the plunge and putting their faith and trust in the assessment of someone else and manages to keep going and keep living.
(But also: "What is life worth, then?" is the wrong question, anyways. Worth is a construct that has no place put next to the full braid of experiences that go into making up a human life.)

sorry for being active
logical... i think I'm annoying you too much /especially with my bad English/, and if you don't want to answer, that'll be fine ^^` in any case, thanks for your attention! i'm probably overthinking this, but...
the last question was, what is Crippled (and the others for that matter) afraid of? I understand that all the hounds lived in a pretty terrible place, but what about simple, almost human things like darkness and loneliness? Surama seems quite fearless to me, despite her dislike of the dark, unlike her brother (okay, he's just quite active), and Iacar is reliving the past. of course, they worry about each other, I think, but... hey, admit it, who is afraid of thunderstorms? :)
sorrysorrysorry ^^`
English isn't my first language either (terveisiä Suomesta). It's just that I'm wary.
I do not currently live in a creative enough environment nor life situation where I can reasonably sacrifice several days out of my week into such a demanding creative work, alone, without burning out.
And every time I so much as casually mention Wurr online, there's usually at least one person who'll come and let me know how tragic it is that I've "decided" to "abandon" my "great story and characters". (Or, in one case, how irrelevant and pathetic I am as a failure of a person. Fuck that one, though.)
Like, I had a bit of a nervous breakdown because of health and livelihood issues back in last spring that I'm still occasionally dealing with (one's systolic blood pressure is definetely not supposed to stay over 190 for long), and I just don't want to be dealing with the people sending me obituaries for my comic on top of that right now.
Like, maybe, maybe, if I one day move closer to Tampere to have my Brainstorm Buddy in my reach regularly again. I miss having creative company.
But right now? I'm just tired.

List of K Project names meanings master post
Remember when someone did a post to explain what the meanings of the names mean with the characters? Well, I am putting it here in this post.
The analysis and meaning of the names had already been done before but this post is about compiling all the meanings of the character's names here. I do not take any credit for the translations and the meanings belong to the original translators I am putting it here for reference.  I put their name meanings here in case someone is struggling to name there k project oc this is used as a reference to help.
The Silver Clan: White Rice Party
Yashiro Isana (伊佐那 社)
Isana (伊佐那), i (伊, that one), sa (佐, assistant, help) and na (那, what?). Yashiro (社, shrine)
Yashiros are temporary shrines set up for deities, this is a reference to how the body known as ‘Isana Yashiro’ (who is, in fact, Hieda Touru) is just a vessel for the silver king Adolf K. Weismann and not his true body much like how yashiro's body is temporarily used for a vessel for his soul.
His surname Isana (伊佐那) is derived from Izanagi (伊耶那岐命, Izanagi-no-Mikoto) and Izanami (伊耶那美命, Izanami-no-Mikoto) this is a reference to the twin heavenly deities in Shinto mythology who gave birth to the islands and made Japan and other Shinto deities of Japanese and represent life and death. This references his real identity as the first Silver King and the founder king being responsible for the birth of other kings
life and death play a part in Adolf and Claudia, which infers How Adolf became the silver king cursed with immortality after Claudia's death forced him to live while his sister was dead.
Besides being named after Izanagi Shiro’s last name has further significance in the story,  Isana can be a play on his airy nature but refers to his amnesia in the story and his kind personality before regaining his memories.
Adolf K. Weismann
His real name “Adolf” comes from the Germanic name Adalwolf which means “noble wolf” and "wise wolf”, indicating both his nobilty in German myth wolfs are connected to kings and rulers which references his status as a king. This might infer the term "lone wolf” reference to his loneliness Of being selected as the king cursed to live as his sisters exiled himself from the world out of fear because he doesn’t want to involve himself with anyone that he eventually has to watch die yeah he doesn’t-have it off easily.
His initial K is a reference to the title of the series
Weissmann is a German surname meaning “white man” referencing to Shiro being the silver king.
His nickname “Shiro” can be written as “white" in Japanese. The term used for “Silver King” in Japanese, (白銀の王, Hakugin no Ō) has the character for "white” (haku,白) while “gin” means (銀, silver) in Weismman “Weis” means “white” in “German”, This references that Shiro is the first king the silver king.
Claudia Weismann
The name Claudia means "lame” or “crippled” but could probably be named after Saint Claudia, the Martyr of Rome who was mentioned in the New Testament, this can reference the impression that Claudia gives off that of the image of “the lost saint” and to how she She died saving Adolf life from falling debris from the bombing raid.
Claudia references Izanami as one of the creator gods in mythology She Along with her brother was in charge of the research of the slate that created the kings Izanami’s death references Claudia’s own death.
Neko “Miyabi Ameno” (雨乃雅日)
Ameno (雨乃), Ame (雨, rain), no (乃, from). Miya (雅, gracious. elegant, refined) and bi (日, day, sun).
Neko’s first name Miyabi(雅日) came from Wakahirume no mikoto (稚日女尊, Wakahirume-no- Mikoto.) the kanji “稚日女尊” is miswritten as "雅日女尊” since 稚&雅 look alike. Wakahirume is a weaving deity who served Amaterasu, says Susano threw a horse skinned alive into the room she weaving startled she fell off the loom and pricked herself by the shuttle of the loom this frightened Amatarsu she hid in the cave. this could reference to how Neko used her powers to change his memories hence hiding him from the other clansmen while preventing him from coming out of his metaphorical cave and how she hangs around Shiro.
the kanji can refer to how she is considered good-looking by the cast with sensual curves and her her bright sunny disposition.
Neko’s surname Ameno derives from Ameno Uzume (天宇受, Ameno Uzume) with the kanji changed. Ameno Uzume is the goddess of mirth who danced naked to draw Amaterasu out of hiding in her cave this is a node to how Neko is seen naked in the series and her role in drawing Shiro to come out of the metaphorical cave that he puts himself in. in the Kojiki it described her as “made the deities laugh” I think this can reference to how she brings Shiro happiness.
surname means “of rain” This is a reference to Neko’s love of baths even though she is a cat and rain is used to describe the sadness in her lonely life before she met Shiro
Neko’s name makes the beginning and end of Amatarasus's hiding along with the disaster due to the sun refusing to come out.

this references Kuroh's backstory, the deities rumored to bring familial extermination to anyone who saw them notes to how Kuroh is seen as an angel of death by his family and shunned by his own family after the deaths of his family, then his aunt and uncle. Like Yatogami he had to leave the place he grew up with and later ended up with Yashiro Isana like the Yashiro of the tale
the last kanji in his name refers to Kuroh's personality being honest, calm, and bright, the first kanji in his name means "dog”, and the pronunciation of “kuro” alone means “black in Japanese this contributes to his nickname “black dog”.
Kukuri commented that their names Kuro and Shiro are like Othella this plays into K focusing on contrastionals with the two main characters referring to it.

Mikoto is named after the kami Susano, he is Amataerasu’s little brother and was originally in charge of the storms and seas he is known for his violent temper that caused problems, and was expelled from the heavenly realm. This refers to Mikoto's most prominent qualities as the red king being violent. Mikoto can reference his charisma as something he had before he became king
His last name Suoh (周防) comes from an old Japanese province of Yamaguchi Prefecture that is dedicated to a red tortoise in the Nihon Shoki and is well known for its chopper ore (a red color) in the Shoku Nihongi This is a reference to Mikoto being the red king and his hair color. the Yamaguchi Prefecture harbors the Tamanoya shrine that enshrines the creator of the Yata mirror and Yasakani magatama I find this fascinating that it references Yata and Anna from the Red clan.

It's a sword that has a connection to Mikoto as with the legend that the sword is seen in the body of the servant that Susano slayed and presented it to Amaterasu to settle an old grievance. There is an old Japanese saying that those who work in Tatara iron making welcome the dead this is because dead bodies in Japanese lore represent the element of earth and iron metal is purified earth. Yatagarsu is the misaki of Kumano no Ookami  (熊野大神, Kumano no Ookami) also known as Susano o. This is a callback to how Yata is the vanguard of Homra serving under Mikoto and later Anna.
Yata is named after the mirror of Yata (八咫鏡, Yata no Kagami) one of the three imperial regalia in Japan the mirror represents honesty and wisdom. this notes how Yata is straightforward and honest about his emotions and his growth and maturity in the series. Yata’s name is connected to Fushimi Yatagarsu and Sarutahiko is known as guides of high-ranking diety both of them have names from guidance kami and are said to pave the way for the rulers. a clever reference to their relationship and their relationships with their respective kings.

Ebisu was abandoned by his parents in the myth which referenced Nagare losing his family during the creator accident. in the myth Ebisu is cribbled and deformed this can infer how Nagare lost his heart from the kagutsu creator and how his life was kept alive because of the slate and he is stuck to a wheelchair Nagare is restrained in a wheelchair keep his strong power in check.
ebisu related to prosperity can infer how the jungle is popular with users and with others growing in popularity over the years.
the ocean imagery is how the internet is described as an ocean or sea with the clan being related to an internet chat group and how he swims through the web and technology with his powers
Hisui means "like water”, and may refer to his speed and power (water can be powerful as well) when he uses his king aura or the domain of his clan which resides in the Internet which can be considered the ocean of the web.
Nagare could also mean that but could means “forfeit” which refers to how he lost his own life two times
Tenkei Iwafune  (磐船天鶏)
Iwafune (磐舟) Iwa (磐, rock, crag, cliff) fune (舟, boat, ship) Tenkei (天鶏) ten (天, heaven, sky, imperial) kei (鶏, domestic chicken).
Otori and Tenkei both point to his loss as he points it out himself in the dream of Green and Iwafune is meant to compliment and counter Hisui Nagare.
Iwafune Tenkei (磐船天鶏) is named after Torinoiwakusufune (鳥之石楠船神) he is the kami of ships who made a boat for the kami hiruko who was abandoned. he acted as the deputy and messager. in the myth, it was said that he was the boat traveling from the land of Kami to the human world. which traveled to the central lan of reed plans from heaven with the speed of the bird and stability of a rock.
Torinoiwakusufune carrying hiruko on a boat references Iwa’s relationship with Nagare that he was the one who was taking care of his needs and the one who kept his powers in check with his fog and restricted him in a chair to prevent his powers from going out of control being metaphorically boat in a way that helps him get from one place
to another and a rock to keep him stable and is the second command of the jungle despite being a king. might provide a foreshadowing of his true identity as the grey king and his clan cathedral that acts as a sanctuary until the creator's accident.
Iwafune is also from Iwafune Shrine [磐船神社], these shrines are dedicated to a ship the shaped rock believed to be the vessel used by deities when descending the earth.
Tenkei (天鶏)  is a Chinese constellation “celestial cock” (天雞) which is the rooster in heaven that crows at daybreak. leading roosters on earth to crow after it. this is a reference to his real name Otori which has a bird in the kanji further hinting at his true identity as the grey king.
Seigo Otori (鳳聖悟)
Seigo (聖悟) sei (聖, holy, sage, priest) go (悟, enlightenment, realize, understand), Otori (鳳, large bird refers to either the peng (a Chinese mythological giant bird said to be able to transform into a fish) or the Fenghuang (the Chinese phoenix).
“Seigo” refers to his position as king to cathedral whitch seems to be a church theme clan, looking at "go" might also refer to how he eventually faced the irony of his power as a king
his entire name referenced the god Torinoiwakusufune seen in this role as his former grey clan and his role in the jungle and to Nagare.
Yukari Mishakuji (御芍神 紫)
Mishakuji (御芍神) mi (御, honorable, manipulate, govern)shaku (芍, peony) ji (神, gods, mind, soul) Yukari (紫,purple)
the color purple in his name references his image color his name comes from the ancient kami
Mishakuji (御社) is one of the Sai-no-Kami [塞の神], which means “deity of boundary”. he is the guardian deity of travelers also crosswords and boundaries he guards the boundary of the village or crosswords to prevent evil spirits, disease, or disaster from entering the village. this is a reference to how Yukari acts as a bodyguard to the green clan being their strong muscle and not letting anyone get it.  Yatogami is the deity of the valley which was expelled into the mountains by Matachi and his men for cultivation then drew a boundary between the land of humans and the land of deity keeping Yatogami on the other side.  both Kuroh and Yukari are written as rivels which is seen in their names.
Miwa, Mishakuji, and Yatogami were all names of serpent deities this is a reference that they were from the colorless clan
Sukuna Gojo (五條スクナ)
Gojo (五條) go (五,five) jo (條, article, clause, item, stripe, streak, logic, paragraph,)
the logic aspect in his name fits him being a video game and combat hustler, if you put "go" and "jo"  together then it might mean "a winning streak” another game-related reference
Sukuna is named from Sukuna-hikona (スクナヒコナ) is the medicanal kami is the kami riding the wave in a boat from the pod of the flowering vine. He is paired with Onamuchi and the two kami worked together to form the land and invent medicine. he is the deity who aided Ookunimushi in building his nation in myths he stayed beside Ookunimushi all the time. he is the deity known as the "Small Man of the Renown” The Nihon Shoki refers to him as a brat. Looking at this it matches Sukuna to a t, the part with Sukuna being paired and helping Ookunimushi in the myth is his friendship with Nagare and how he helps him with his goals. sukuna is seen riding the waves on a boat is a reference to Iwa who is named after the boat deity. the "Small Man of the Renown” Sukuna proved to be capable in his own right in the use of jungle and how he completes his missions. sukuna being refered to as a brat in muthoology references sukunas young age and bratty personality
Gojo came from  Gojo-ten Shrine [五条天神宮] shrines dedicated to Sukuna
Douhan Hirasaka (平坂 道反)
Hirasaka (平坂) Hira (平, flat) saka (坂, slope), Douhan (道反) dou (道, road) han (反, anti)Her surname Hirasaka comes from
Yomotsu Hirasaka [⻩泉比良坂], the boundary between earth and hell. Dohan  (道反) is from
Chikaeshi no Ookami [道反大神], the huge rock at Yomotsu Hirasaka which Izanagi used to block the hell’s entrance after he escaped.
this references how she helped Fushimi in season 2 from getting killed by jungle users by helping him escape and how she saves the other characters from death.
Kotosaka
Kotosaka has numerous meanings but the meaning I would choose for him would be Kotosaka no kami (言離神] the alias of Hitokotonushi-no- kami [一言主神, literally the God of One Word) and Yomotsukotosakanoo (aka Kotosakanoo-no-Mikoto), a kami of the underworld it means to sever a relationship in the Nihongi he appeared alongside Hayatamanoo (速玉之男神) to sever the relationship between the original kami, Izanagi, and Izanami he was there to hold Izanangi to his oath when Izanagi spoke the words of divorce at the Yomotsu Hirasaka. these meanings fit Kotosaka himself this is in how he was present during Nagare's death and stayed by his side while he was dying and how Kotosaka is always seen talking in one word or repeating something that was said and is used as a medium for Nagare for speaking to others
The colorless clan
Ichigen Miwa (三輪 一言)
Ichigen (一言) ichi (一,  one) gen (言, say, word), Miwa (三輪) Mi (三, three) wa (輪, wheel, link, loop) "wa" can refer to how he can see the future aka the wheel of fortune and may refer to the fates of his two students. if you look at "mi" and wa together it may refer to his and his students' lives; the way their lives played out may have been something that has already been foreseen. Ichigen might refer to his nature as the “man of his word or “a man of a few words” a play on his art haiku composition.
Miwa comes from Oomiwa jinja (三輪明神) miwa comes from Mount Miwa, the kami of the mountain Oomononushi, is a serpent holding power over good harvest, sake brewing and protection from infectious diseases but is also known for his ability to curse.  Ichigan comes from
Hitokotonushi-no- kami [一言主神] sharing the same kanji in the deity's name grants one word wishes to the deity and introduces himself to the emperor as “I am Hitokotonushi-no-kami of Katsuragi, who proclaims evil in a single word, good in a single word.” like Oomononushi he encompasses both good and evil possibilities depending on careful choices.
this is a reference to his art of haiku which Kuroh brings with a recorder. This can reference that he can see the future and predict what is going to happen with a few words
Kokujoji Daikaku(國常路 大覚)
Kokujōji (國常路) Koku (國, country), jō (常, usual, normal, regular),  ji (路, path, road, distance), Daikaku (大覚) dai (大, large, big, great) Kaku (覚, learn, remember, awake).
jo might refer to himself before he became king and his way of running things has been the normal ji for the country of Japan after he became king. “great learning” references his clan's ability or the great remembrance of his friends who guided him through the years.
his name Koukujouji (國常路) is a reference to Kunitokotachi no Kami ( 國常立神). He is the first of the three kami born after heaven and earth were born out of chaos and is considered the very representation of Japan itself and one of the founding kami. His first name Daikaku (大覚) comes from Daikaku-ji (大覚寺) a Buddhist temple in Kyoto that holds the Five Knowledge Kings they have much knowledge and power which allows them to influence reality known to use their power to get rid of evil influences. this is pretty self-explanatory this references to his bond with the Silver King who references Isanagi and the Dresidian trio being one of the first kings that shaped Japan
He is the backbone of the contry and its entire properoty was on him and he makes sure evil infleunces like nagare and mizuchi are wiped out.
Kukuri Yukizome (雪染 菊理)
Kukuri is named after Kukuri hime no kami (菊理姫神) the goddess of meditation, negotiation, matchmaking, and marriage. She mediated on behalf of Izanami and Izanagi when Izanagi talked to her during the month of the underworld and reconciled them, bringing peace to the world mediating between the living and the dead. This matches Kukuri very well
reflects her cheerful personality and friendship with Shiro she is sociable and helpful she helps mediate the chaos of the awakening superpowers and she is Shiro's link to a normal life.
Hieda Touru (稗田透)
Hieda (稗田) Hie (稗, Japanese barnyard millet) da (田, paddy, field), Touru (透, transparent  permeable, porous passable, (in the sense of objects spaced far enough apart to allow something in-between)
His first name Tooru is jampacked of meaning this can reference his lack of presence and his harmless appearance and ability to blend in the background which is why he was chosen by Nagare to be the host body for the colorless king. and that he was once a vessel for the colorless king to inhibit.
Hieda may refer to  Hieda no Are (稗田 阿礼) a person known for being vital to kojikis completion. little is known about Hidea no Are including gender but some theorize they may be distant descendants of the goddess Ameno-Uzume. This is a reference to his appearance in the story as early as completing the plan for the silver king to be drawn out.
Saya Konohana (木野花 沙耶)
Saya (沙耶) sa (沙, sand) ya (耶, question mark), konohana (木野花) ko (木, field, wilderness) Hana (花, flower, blossom)
Saya’s entire name comes from  Konohanasakuya-hime (木花開耶姫) the kami of cherry blossoms and mt fuji she was said to be in charge of volcanos and has an explosive temper this is a reference to her uncontrollable power in the beginning in the route.
Mitsuha Kurayama (闇山 光葉)
Kurayama(闇山) Kura (闇, dark) Yama (山, mountain), Mitsu (光, light), ha (葉, leaves)
the kanji in the given name doesn't match the kami I was thinking of but if there's one thing that his surname is Kurayama (闇山) in fact If I were to guess what he is based on I would think it is Kuramitsuha (闇御津羽神 – Ravine Water Rushing). Kuramitsuha is one of the two kami born from the blood of Kagutsuchi after he was beheaded by Izanagi, the blood caught on the sword hilt formed this kami.
another kami would be Kurayamatsumi (闇山津見神 – Mountain Gorge Majesty) the kami born from the body of Kagutsuchi after he was beheaded and was born from Kagutsuchi’s privates
I find his connection to the kami Kagutsuchi is a reference to Mitsuha’s obsession with becoming Kagustsu in the series which led to a twisted fascination with Suoh.
Somei Nazumi (初衣 泥)
Uhijininokami, Suhichininokami ※God of the earth (宇比邇神 須比智邇神)
Somei Chika (初衣 チカ)
Uhijininokami, Suhichininokami ※God of the earth (宇比邇神 須比智邇神)
Unno Yutaka: (雲野 征鷹)
Toyokumo no Kami (God of Clouds) (豊雲野神)
Todokoro Suwako: (十所 スワ子)
Homi Suwa Jugosho Shrine (Homisuwa Jugoshojinja) (穂見諏訪十五所神社)
Tamataro Okuma: (大隈 玉太郎)
Kumano Hayatama Grand Shrine (Kuma no Hayata Taisha) (熊野速玉大社)
Gora is kind to give us the origin of the names of the characters who came from K side Gold.
when I was writing this I learned that each character in k is connected to each other in some way as seen in the origin of their names. I didn’t cover all the characters but If I did happen to miss some of the characters feel free to put your input in the post. I made this post as a reference to help others with naming their once, I don’t take any credit for the translated meanings in this master post I hope this will give a better idea of how to name your OC.

Talking to a friend tonight about how one of the strangest, shittiest cultural shifts of the last decade seems to be the sheer number of people who are just totally uninterested in growing as people.
Uninterested in examining anything beyond their knee jerk reactions of "I like it = good, I don't like it = bad," and more than happy to therapy-speak their way through interpersonal problems on the most superficial level imaginable as long as it means avoiding any real personal accountability or need to confront anything the least bit complicated about themselves or the way they interact with the world.
It's so bizarre and depressing, and ABSOLUTELY a huge part of the reason we're experiencing a cultural crisis of loneliness. When you approach every relationship and interaction in your life and culture with the attitude of "I don't owe anyone anything" and a total lack of willingness to dig into any surface level discomfort or acknowledge that your actions do have an impact on the people around you, you're never going to form real, lasting connections.
(getting slightly more personal under the cut)
Whenever I think about this I always consider my own experience with what has, at times, been an extremely crippling panic disorder.
I see a lot of people with similar issues talking about taking care of themselves and whatnot, but it's all about avoidance and accommodation. Maybe I'm about to sound outdated, but it kind of concerns me that nobody talks about being able to overcome things like this anymore?
Some things never go away, my panic disorder has definitely opened doors in my mind that I know can never really be closed now that I've experienced a particular way of thinking, and I will always have some months that are worse than others. Acknowledging that doesn't mean avoiding everything that distresses you. Sometimes, it's better to just have the panic attack, go through the shitty thing, rather than let your fear take something else away from you.
The reality is, avoidance of an issue only allows it to gain ground. Every time you shy away from something because it's uncomfortable or anxiety inducing or upsetting, you are denying yourself an opportunity to live a fuller life.
I'm just so curious to know what it is, exactly, people are striving for when they pursue the image of moral purity and a stress free existence? How are you going to connect with people when you're constantly policing each other, when you cannot foster open, honest connections because you're so afraid of anything even the least bit unsightly inside of yourself or anyone else?
What will you gain from avoiding stress? Fear? Discomfort? How do you shun half of your emotions and still expect to be able to handle them when they inevitably break through?
Obviously, we all have our limits, we all have our boundaries, but the trend of people setting those limits and boundaries at the first sign of discomfort is insanely depressing.
