How they react when they make you laugh for the first time since arriving in Borderland.

Chishiya, Ann, Kuina and Niragi.

i really really love writing for aib, and i really really want to marry ann. warnings: this is mostly fluff but jealousy and threats are included (would it even be niragi if this wasn’t the case?) requested by: anon (thank you!) written by: archie support me on ko-fi!

Chishiya

Chishiya would be puzzled. Hearing your laugh ring through the Beach’s hallway from beside him when hardly much had happened-- What suddenly brought that out of you? You, who hadn’t so much as smirked once since arriving in the Borderlands?

He wouldn’t stop walking until you’d finally keeled over, resting against the wall in your laughter, and he’d simply stand there and watch you, tempted to give into the smirk that pulls at the corner of his lips. Ah yes, that laugh is contagious, but it’d only properly catch on when he realises it’s his own words that brought it out of you.

Gasping words out through your bursts of laughter, not paying half a mind to the bikini-clad girls that spared you judgemental glances as you try to communicate what exactly of Chishiya’s words tickled you so-- But it’d barely come out clear enough to make sense.

But it wouldn’t matter. He’d finally give into the tickle inside his own chest, the softest laugh of humour bubbling out as he stands there, hands in his pockets and tender eyes on your giggling form. It’s the first time since arriving that he’s seen you like this, and what a sight to behold.

Ann

Ann isn’t phased by much, but your sudden laughter gracing her ears would startle her. She’d jump, hair swishing out of that perfect positioning when she turns to look at you. She’d think there’s something wrong at first, scan the area to see what might’ve possibly brought you to this, wonder if perhaps Borderland has finally taken its toll on you. She’s heard plenty of stories of psychosis manifesting in laughter from her work life, but this… Doesn’t seem to be the case.

She’d ask what was up, ask if you’re feeling okay, hold your face still to feel your forehead for a temperature. This, however, would only bring out more bubbling laughter as you tuck her hair behind her ear again, back where it belongs.

“You’re so funny, Ann,” you’d say, “And you don’t even realise.”

She’d blink. No, she’s never been considered the funny type.

It’s not until you describe to her that it’s purely because she’s so serious, so endearing, that you couldn’t help yourself. Perhaps things really were catching up to you, and you finally let up on all the pressures from the games. Hell, you were gonna die anyway. Why not share laughter when your love is this morbidly endearing in her antics?

Kuina

Kuina would have missed your laughter. She’d struggle with your newly introverted self, noticing how all the games have worn you down in the weeks of being here, and it’s not until one time that you get a little bit too drunk a little bit too quickly in the Beach’s nightclub that you’d finally be able to spill your sense of humour all over her again.

It would be the silliest of things; Kuina’s reaction to a guy hitting on her or an animated fall on the dancefloor that you’d just so happened to witness, but it would shock your body with waves and waves of giggles.

Kuina’s reaction would be instant. Her face would light up, teeth showing and eyes shining as she drank in the sight of you losing control of your body, weak at the knees and relying on Kuina’s arm around your middle to keep you up. Soon, the pair of you would be creasing with tears in your eyes, and she’s definitely the type that lightly hits whoever happens to be in her reach as she cackles. Afterwards, the air around you would be drastically lighter. She’d be thrilled to have you back.

Niragi

Niragi would be suspicious of your laughter. He’d stare at you with a brow and corner of his lips raised, practically with a question mark over his head as he eyes you. He’d demand to know what’s so funny, what’s suddenly happened to you-- but on hearing that he’d just said something in such a way that struck you funny, he’d guffaw in dismissal. Though, hidden inside, his chest would swell with pride and a curl would remain on his lips for a long while after, throwing out certain remarks to try and catch you in a giggle fit once more. Every time it works, a strange glow of acceptance would find a home in his chest.

If, god forbid, anyone else had been the first to make you laugh, he’d want their head on a plate. And you know he’d have it, too, unless it were Chishiya. Perhaps Chishiya’s eyeroll to something Niragi had said would set you off, or even worse, something he’d said-- Niragi would lose his shit. He’d yell at you once the moment had passed, having let it brew for moments before. How dare you humiliate him? Unite with Chishiya against him? Of course, that wouldn’t be even a sliver of truth, and you’d have to talk him down from hunting Chishiya in the Beach’s halls.

You’d manage a soft laugh for him, holding his face to keep his attention and stop his spiralling. “Niragi,” you’d shine a smile, knowing exactly how to calm him. “He’s pitiful, and I’m yours.”

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: When the AIB women's s/o gets seriously injured in the games

𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Language, Season 2 spoilers obviously

Kuina Hikari:

- the moment she finds out you're hurt in some sort of way, any sort of way, really, she will immediately rush to your side and ask what happened before quickly helping you

- she probably wouldn't really know what to do if you're injured to the point you needed to recover and couldn't play games but she would be with you every step of the way

- she will do anything you ask of her when you're injured if you can't move a lot, food? she's got some for you within five minutes. need someone to just be there with you? she's comfortably situated next to you with her arm wrapped around you

- to be honest she would be mainly worried if you would be able to play a game again before your visa ran out

- but she would try her best to not show that she's worried, instead sticking by your side during your whole recovery and trying to lift your spirits by joking around with shit (like making fun of chishiya's height)

- if you were to pass out suddenly from the pain, kuina would freak the fuck out, not knowing what the hell to do and just trying to wake you up and make sure you're not dead

- to be honest if you didn't wake up after a few shakes, she would straight up just pick you up and take you to whoever knew medical stuff the most since she's blind in that area, hardly knowing how to patch herself up so how would she know how to help you when extremely hurt?

- kuina would have no clue what to do if you still hadn't woken up, starting to think that maybe you won't wake up from this and how guilty she felt for letting you go clear a game alone without her, she would definitely get down on herself about it

- but whenever you do wake up and she realizes you're not dead, she's immediately hugging you and apologizing about not really being helpful with this kind of stuff and how she loves you so much that she would be utterly broken without you

- you're one of her main reasons to get out of the borderlands, and if she were to lose you in these games, she would definitely go insane and just give up entirely, not seeing a point to survive without you there with her

- after you've recovered, kuina would not leave your side for anything. she will be hanging over you constantly to make sure nothing happens, lightly threatening people if she has to just so you don't get accidentally tossed into another game with idiots from the beach

Ann Rizuna:

- it's not often that ann freaks out over things, in fact, it rarely happens, unless it deals with you that is

- the moment you walked back to the room you shared with her at the beach, injured to the point you were hardly able to stand, she felt her heart stop at the sight of you

- she always told you not to go and complete games without her, worried that one day you wouldn't come back, but she didn't scold you like the other times she would, not when you were on the verge of passing out from pain

- ann wouldn't say much the first fifteen minutes or so of your injured arrival, trying to do whatever she could to help with her limited resources, demanding hatter that she needed practically everything from the medical supplies

- after a while, she would eventually speak up quietly once she had helped clean you up the best she could, "don't do that again."

- at first, you thought she was going to scold you again like the previous times, but instead she reached and grabbed ahold of your hands, "i don't want to lose you." she would say barely loud enough for you to hear

- ann was never the type to say things like that, only if the two of you were alone and she knew no one else could hear but it still wasn't often, but to hear it from her after coming back injured badly, you knew even if she doesn't say it, she did love and care about you

- if you passed out from the pain she would try her best to remain calm, telling herself that you'll wake up and everything will be fine, but it's noticeable by her tone with everyone else that she's far from calm about this

- she wouldn't join another game until she knew you had woken up and were okay, constantly checking on you and checking your pulse to make sure you're alive, always letting out a sigh of relief when she could feel your heart still beating

- the longer you don't wake up, the more worried she becomes to the point where she just stays hold up in the room with you, telling the other executives to not bother her until you do wake up, trying not to think the worst but it's difficult to when you're really the only person she cares about

- whenever you do wake up, she is extremely relieved that you're okay and makes sure you're able to recover fast enough before your visa runs out, trying to act normal but it's clear she had been freaking out when you weren't awake

- after you've recovered, ann becomes quite more protective of you and actually shows it more when around the others at the beach, not hesitating to speak up if someone suggests splitting people up for games and making sure to keep an eye on you when in games, not wanting a repeat of what happened

Usagi Yuzuha:

- the second usagi finds you or you find her and she sees how badly hurt you are, she's quickly rushing to your side and helping you sit down to rest

- you're the one thing she's living for now, so to see you injured badly enough where you could barely walk, she was extremely worried if you would recover before your visa expired

- so she would try and help you recover as fast as possible, making sure you eat and sleep enough, maybe raiding a pharmacy to get you medicine if it's there and cleaning whatever wounds you may have

- it really depends on how injured you are of how she will react and freak out, but for this case, it's pretty bad, so she freaks out easily whenever you're asleep for one minute too long or you're breathing becomes uneven, knowing without certain medical care you could possibly die

- that's why when you pass out, she freaks out more than ever, trying to do whatever she can to help you wake up and if nothing is working then she'll just try and calm down, try, it doesn't really work no matter how hard she tries

- usagi might try and get more food while you're unconscious so that way when you wake up you can eat something to hopefully help you though without pain meds it wouldn't be much work

- if she came back from getting food and you weren't awake still, she would then start to get worried if you even would wake up, trying to wake you in some way

- if she came back and you were already awake, she would be incredibly happy to see you moving, but would tell you to still rest and not move around a lot in case you accidentally hurt yourself more in some way

- usagi basically becomes like a mom when you're injured, telling you to rest, making sure you sleep enough and eat every day, and worry for you deeply

- she can't stand seeing you in pain which is why she tries to help you recover as fast as possible, sticking by your side in case something were to happen

- she wouldn't participate in any games while you recover, only going if that day was her last day but returning to you immediately after to make sure you're still okay

- if you had to complete a game either way, you're visa soon expiring, usagi would go with you and stay with you every second, not wanting you to get more hurt and hoping you don't get a spades game knowing it would make your recovery slower

- after you've recovered, she would make sure you don't go into games alone even if it isn't her just someone that you two knew would be enough, checking up on you and asking if you're okay and telling you to remember to rest even if you aren't injured

Kano Mira:

- much like ann, mira is not one to freak out over many things, if not everything, so don't expect her to lose her cool if you come to her injured

- of course, she can't tell you that eventually you will have to face her in her own game, so she will act concerned about you, but she does want you to live

- so the moment you find her, wherever the hell she is, part of her is feigning concern while another small part is being genuine about being worried for you, asking what happened and if you're okay even if you're obviously not

- mira isn't one to feel very guilty or scold people, so don't assume she will feel bad about letting you complete games alone, she doesn't really care, if you die, she might be upset for a minute, but will go back to normal soon

- but that doesn't mean she doesn't care about you at least a little bit, she does, she just shows it in odder ways than normal people would

- she might end up making you become dependent on her, saying how you shouldn't join games without her or one of the executives with you because she would be "heartbroken" if you ended up dying in one of the games

- mira wants you to live, of course, but for that to happen it would mean that she has to die, and she often has inner battles with herself on what to do at times like that when you come back severely injured to the point of passing out, but she always falls back to trying to spend her time with you as best as she could

- does she love you? it's unclear at times, but if you pass out from pain, then you might realize she does, even if it's just a little bit, she does by how she reacts when you do lose consciousness

- her eyes would go wide when your eyes close and you aren't responding anymore, taking you to one of the rooms in the beach and setting you on the bed before sitting next to you trying not to freak out

- mira doesn't have to compete in games anyways technically, so she would end up staying with you while you're unconscious, leaving every now and then to talk with the other executives or kuzuryu

- whenever you wake up, mira most likely isn't there. whether it's because she's doing executive matters or the second stage has started, she probably won't be there but she will find you immediately after she's done doing whatever she's doing unless the second stage started, then you might never see her again

- if you awoke when the second stage started, she might've written a short note of sorts saying how no matter what happens she wants you to live and that one day, she will see you again, just maybe not when you're living

- if you woke up before the second stage, then mira would find you and be so relieved that you're alright and that you weren't dead, even if it seems like she's faking it, she's not

Heiya Akane:

- the king of spades wasn't a very fun game, not when at any moment you could be shot down, like this moment where the worst possible case did happen, you getting shot

- the second you hit the ground akane is freaking out, blood quickly soaking the ground beneath you with her frantically trying to figure out what to do

- just the thought of losing you was enough to get her to cry, so actually seeing you get shot definitely caused her to tear up, but not cry just yet

- she didn't bother trying to fight the king of spades after you got shot, instead grabbing you and dragging you the best she could to safety and hiding in a building with you

- "you fucking idiot! what the hell were you trying to do?!" akane would say to you, quickly ripping off a piece of your shirt and pressing down on the wound

- "it's alright." you try to say before she just shakes her head and continuing to put pressure on the gunshot wound

- "this is far from alright and you know it." she whispered quietly, tears silently starting to fall, "i don't- i can't lose you, not like this."

- to be honest, nothing you say would help reassure her. sure, you might not die from this bullet, but it was a big enough chance she didn't want to take, besides, aguni would be fine killing the king of spades alone, you both knew that

- if you end up passing out from the gunshot...she freaks out more, shaking you and repeating your name trying to wake you up while crying at the same time and still hiding

- eventually aguni finds you both and just kinda stares for a second before sighing and picking you up and taking you back to where you three had made a little camp area

- akane doesn't have a clue what to do with things like this, for one, you're the only person she genuinely cares about and wants to survive, two, she didn't pay attention in health class a lot and so she didn't know how to help, and three, if you were to die then she would give up on it all

- she doesn't leave your side the whole time, just sitting next to you silently as aguni tried to get food and kill the king of spades at the same time so she could watch you in case you woke up or the king arrived, probably talking to you as if you could hear her about random bullshit

- when you do wake up, she ends up crying again because she honestly thought you were going to die without the right medical attention, hugging you tightly and muttering "don't do that shit again." but still crying

- after you've recovered, akane is not leaving your side for one second, it doesn't matter. the thought of you dying or leaving her in some way honestly haunts her daily in the borderlands so she's become a little personal bodyguard for you, how fun

hobbies/quirks in your relationships - !pre borderlands SUGURU NIRAGI, SHUNTAROU CHISHIYA, HIKARI KUINA

CW: mentions of arguments, intoxication, alcohol consumption

AN: hello to my new and old readers!! since a lot of ppl are reading my fics again since s2 came out here's a lil thingy to celebrate!. Niragi's portion was written for a multi-part fic, but i decided why not make it into a scenario thingy instead of another series i know i wont continue HAHAH, anyway that explains why its longer than chisiyas and kuinas, anwayy happy reading!

SUGURU NIRAGI - never talking about each other romantically unless tipsy enough.

You and Niragi were best friends in the ordinary world. After your office hours together you both often went out to drink or have late dinner together, talking about all the stresses your office jobs offered. Oftentimes, when one of you gets drunk enough, you or he would elaborate on the things you loved the most about the other.

Niragi would boast on and on about how kind and considerate you are, how admirable you are with even such a stressful job and a questionable workplace environment, you never gave up solely on the reason that you just couldn't leave your best friend behind (Possibly also because putting little easter eggs for each other in the games you created was fun. Especially when you see game theorists become mind-boggled on why ‘igarin’ and ‘n/y’ were always written in the corner of some wall in the game). He would talk about how elegant your features were even if it was so late to the point your eyes were fighting to not fall asleep. You on the other hand would disregard these ramblings while you helped him walk home since, knowing him, he would just fall asleep on the street while continuing to talk about you even if you just left him there. However, when you have taken one too many drinks, Niragi wouldn't hesitate to get closer to you just to protect you from the prying eyes and hands of the other men in the bar you both are in. You would just stare at him, simply stating that he was beautiful and that you were in love with him. Of course, he would just attempt to hide the red tint collecting on his face while the bartender present may or may not have given him a signal that you were telling the truth. Just like you, he would help you get home, this time having an arm around your waist to make sure no one tries anything with you. He would grab your keys from your pockets and help you get to bed. If in a certain occasion, have instantly fallen asleep, he would place a kiss on your forehead and sprint out of your home in embarrassment while he locked your door, and hid your keys in a potted plant for you to find in the morning.

SHUNTAROU CHISHIYA - always making lunch for each other

Med school isn't easy for anyone. Internships, tests, lessons, lectures, everything you both had to do always made the days blur together. Your relationship with the Cheshire was getting complicated. Meaningless and unsincere arguments visited and left, leaving you both with tired eyes and frustrated faces. Even with these ups and downs in your relationship, one thing never left and was never forgotten. Food!

With every evening spent restless, there would always be an afternoon after spent with each other, sharing and exchanging Bentos you made for each other the morning before. Though most lunches were spent with the both of you in silence, it was a type of silence where no words were needed since your minds spoke for themselves. Warm mutual understandings of forgiveness, even with no mellow apologies spoken, telepathic i-love-you’s exchanged, all topped off with you-mean-so-much-to-me glances after you both had finished.

The both of you were always tired of the multiple things you had to do, but on days where getting angry was also too tiring, Chishiya would always just let you speak your mind, not even listening to what you have to say since he himself has to fight just to re assure you that he was awake and present (white lies are never wrong in his book).

HIKARI KUINA - teenage-styled sleepovers

Being a high-end fashion designer, dating a casual apparel clerk was never what anyone thought you would end up being in the future, yet here you are with her, having green clay masks on your faces, wearing bathrobes after a ‘spa’ in your bathtub.

With the both of you on your king-sized bed, with snacks cluttering the side tables, and a telephone in the middle of the bed, there was only one thing left for the both of you to do: PRANK CALLLSSS. Though the both of you knew how immature this was, it never bothered the both of you much since it was a nice way to have fun and act as if the both of you were two girls in high school again. Be that as it may, the prank calling was always a 30-minute journey, with most ending with the receiver hanging up as soon as they registered an unfamiliar voice. The two of you always end up on top of one another, not in a sexual manner, but as if you both just want to gaze into each other’s eyes to enjoy the moment with each other.

As you sit on top of her lap, cupping both sides of her face, you lay soft kisses on her lips as she keeps her eyes on yours. Giggles echo around the room as the two of you enjoy the comfort and aura of each other. The fact that you both were at the stage where you are collectively comfortable with each other, was enough to send her to a feeling of bliss.

"it just looks a little silly..." kiyoko trails off as yachi gives another twirl. the dress covering the blonde swallowed her whole — covered every inch of her figure in this gaudy yellow that clashed with her hair. kiyoko's smile grows crooked, "why don't i find something for you?"

"oh, me too!" you grin from the clothing rack you're in front of. you shake your head, putting the polka-dotted material back before facing the two of them. "let's make it fun! i'll pick something for you two ; yachi for me and 'ko ; and so on and so forth."

yachi bounces in place with a grin before she bolts back into the dressing room, throwing the awful dress over the door. she rushes out just as quick, a handful of clothes in her arms as she pants, "i'm going to make you two look so pretty!"

kiyoko eyes the yellow dress with disdain. "...if that's what you think."

the three of you disperse, collecting any item that catches your eyes. soon enough, you've got a pile weighing own your arms as you head back to the dressing rooms. kiyoko is already there, standing at the one in the middle. you place her chosen pieces down with a wink — she rolls her eyes fondly, but the pink coating her cheeks says she's flattered.

yachi comes strutting into the small hallway with a triumphant grin. backing into your own dressing room, you hum along to the song that's playing as you sort through the two piles.

wearing a stripped, rainbow sweater is yachi, the cropped hem ending just before the start of the denim skirt she's wearing. it looks so cute as she turns in the mirror that you can't help your grin.

"don't you just look darling!" you sneak up behind her, a flurry of kisses settling onto her flushed cheeks. a little giggle escapes her lips, only to get caught into a gasp. you look up, seeing kiyoko's reflection walking up behind you. your eyes widen, "well, hello gorgeous."

yachi lets out a strangled noise — "i love girls." it's said in a whisper, but you both catch it anyways.

the laugh kiyoko lets out makes her shine even brighter. a light blue tulle dress is lapping over her entirely, brushing the floor with every step she makes, silver stars shining with every sway of the skirt. she places a kiss on your cheek, then yachi's forhead before admiring your new outfit. "suits you well," kiyoko hums.

"next!" yachi bounces again as she races back into the dressing room. you hear her shout soon after, "oh, this color is so nice!"

frowning down at your new outfit, you know it's kiyoko's pick. there's a lilac scarf laying on top of a silky wrap top — both of which you're unsure what to do with. you lean to the left, "'ko, can you help me out with this?"

her answer isn't verbal, but it's immediate. kiyoko knocks softly on the door, squeezing herself in to prevent yachi from seeing your new fit. her eyes gleam when she sees you only in your undergarments. "seducing me now, [name]?"

another choked sound leaves yachi. you can hear her complaining outside, "i wanna be seduced! so unfair."

kiyoko wraps the scarf around your neck, tying it softly to the side. next, she helps you shove your arms through the wrap top, tying it as well. midnight blue eyes observe you tenderly, raspberry colored lips placing themselves on your own soon after. a single word is spoken against your lips. "perfect."

you leave the room, grin so wide your cheeks squish against your eyes. yachi's jaw drops as she sees you, a line of drool leaving her mouth as kiyoko slides up beside you.

"have i said it lately?" yachi whispers. she puts her hands into a prayer motion, eyes focused on the ceiling — the pose reminds you of old classmates. "i. love. girls."

"you've said that so many times!"

"at least five times since we've been at this store alone," you roll your eyes with a grin. swinging your arm around the blonde's shoulders you look at your reflections once more. "we are pretty hot, though."

"exactly!"

fresh flowers sway in the wind as you lay the patterend blanket onto the grass. you squint into the distance, cursing yourself for forgetting a pair of sunglasses. kuina finally appears in your vision, head moving back and forth as she scours the field around her.

a bouquet of colorful wild flowers are shoved into your eyesight as you sit on the blanket. kuina smiles softly, "for you."

"how sweet." you grin back as she finally sits down. she lets out a sigh, leaning back on her hands as she soaks up the warmth of the sun. you take one of the flowers — a pretty, pink one — and tuck it behind her hair. "the sweetest girl."

kuina lets out a whine, allowing her arms to lose their strength as she collapses completely onto the blanket. "can't flirt with me already, [name] ; we jus' got here!"

your grin widens before you lean down to press a kiss to her cheek. "sorry, 'kari. you're just so pretty, i can't help it!"

she glares at you briefly — the scowl melts quickly into a smile as she sits up. "i got usagi to help out with the food. wanted to make you somethin' instead of buying it."

you crinkle your nose, "didn't let arisu help out, did she?"

pausing — she'd just opened the picnic basket — kuina straightens up. "um... i hope not. dig in!"

depite your slight hesitance, the food was actually good. the area slowly went from a bright yellow to a hazed, dusty pink. you watch the sunset with glee, cheeks stuffed with the food kuina had made you.

she was only staring at you.

the right side of your mouth quirks up as the frogs begin to sing. "not watching the sunset, hikari."

she tucks her legs to her chest, chin on her knees as she gazes at you. kuina tilts her head as her eyes study you still. "have a better view is all."

"now who's flirting, huh?"

— beach day ♥︎ haruhi —

the sun hat on your head isn't big enough to shelter your eyes from the sun's rays completely. from behind your sunglasses, you glare as people walk by your partner and stare.

crossing your arms over your chest, you stomp to the sand. haruhi looks up innocently — cluelessly, "hi, [name]. having fun?"

you glare again — they're unphased as they continue to search for seashells. their dad had mentioned liking shells recently — he'd hate them and the collected sand soon, but haruhi grabbed them regardless.

"if i get bit by a crab , it's all your fault, you know." you're still scowling ; still pouting as strangers gain interest of the beauty in front of you. "stupid strawberry swimsuit. stupid haruhi for being too cute."

haruhi blinks up at you again before standing, "don't be mean and grumpy."

"i will be!" you're acting childish, you know. but haruhi was your eye candy — anyone else's staring felt icky and wrong. "gonna tell your dad to ground you."

"then how will we go on dates?"

you swat your hand carelessly as haruhi moves spots. they crouch again, eyes peeled for the perfect shell. "i'm the acception ; he loves me."

haruhi pauses their search with a thoughtful gaze. "you were always his favorite of my friends."

"and now," your voice gets a little louder as you look around the beach, "we're more than friends! happily in love! together for years!"

standing again, haruhi hides their laugh behind their hand. composing themselves, they drop their hand until their fingers are laced with yours. they tug you close, placing a quick kiss to your cheek before releasing you completely. "you're cute, [name]."

you're back in the shade, hat lowered even more on your face as you sit there. you can hear haruhi talking mindlessly to other people, but are no longer phased. the brief kiss given to you was more than enough to deter your jealous thoughts.

bernie is behind the dj booth as funk jungle booms to life. a drink is in your hand as you maneuver through the crowd. your head bops joyfully — smiles sent to familiar faces as you fight your way through.

only to stop dead in your tracks.

ice is sitting across from sarah — in your seat — talking to her with a look so tender. you frown at the sight, eyes narrowing before a slight nudge hits your shoulder. pho nods his head their way, "get your girl!"

he's gone within the next second, but your confidence has been boosted enough. you take a sip of your drink, stepping closer to the duo. ice glances at you, but his gaze focuses back on sarah soon enough. your eyes narrow again — he doesn't even see you as competition.

sarah flinches when a chin is placed on her shoulder, relaxing instantly when she smells your perfume. you sigh against her ear, placing your half-empty drink on the bar beside her, "'m bored, sarah. wanna get out of here?"

it's like he's invisible — like his knee isn't knocking against hers as sarah focuses on you completely. she isn't even looking your way and you have her wrapped around your finger. ice lets out a sigh as he looks away — bernie's laugh echoes into the microphone at the sight.

she barely turns her head as she speaks. "and go where?"

you groan, leaning more of your weight onto her back. "literally anywhere else. pho's busy dancing, and you're the only other person here i like."

sarah hums as she takes a sip of her drink, "i'm your favorite? i'm flattered, pretty."

nose pressed to her neck, you hope she can't feel how your cheeks heat up. a quiet, embarrassed whine escapes your throat as you admit how much you like her. "my number one — thought it was obvious."

her drink is gone within a blink as she tips it back, gulping it down. standing from the barstool, sarah holds her hand out to you. "let's find somethin' fun to do, hm?"

you eagerly comply, lacing your fingers with hers. leaning into her, you sandwich sarah's hand between both of yours as you get comfortable. "would love nothin' more!"

— study day ♥︎ hinata —

"bored. 'm so bored, hina."

the peach haired girl looks up from her book with a raised brow. she's heard you say that excat sentence too many times already — and you'd only been at her house for an hour. "[name], why don't you study like we said we would?"

"but," you roll onto your back, crumpling your own papers. hinata sighs, shuffling further across her bed so you had room. "why would i do that when i have a perfect, kissable girl right beside me?"

her cheeks flame up, bright pink hitting them as she shoves you gently. "stop that!"

you wiggle your eyebrows, rolling onto your stomach. "is my plan working? can we stop learning now?"

hinata sighs, her attention very obviously on your face and not her notes. "how about this — we'll doodle for a bit and then get back to work. deal?"

nodding enthusiastically, you sit up and watch as hinata grabs a sheet of paper. she folds it into four pieces longways before taking another piece and doing the same. "we'll swtich when we're done with a section. and no peeking, [name]!"

you mock her a little before grabbing a glittery pen and your folded paper. starting out, you draw a pointed oval shape, doodling until it becomes a stereotypical alien head. hinata waits, switching papers once you're done. you draw a torso next, creating pretty butterfly-like wings on their back.

keeping with your supernatural theme, you create lanky legs and a lizard tail next. your last doodle is of hooves — sparkly and ready to trample anyone. folding the papers out, you aren't sure what to think. hinata tilts her head at the mix of supernatural and realistic elements.

"well..." she purses her lips a little. "they're kinda cute."

you blink, speaking blankly, "these are what my dream creatures look like."

the peach haired girl beams your way, "what fun dreams! has your bordeom been conquered?"

shaking your head, you snuggle into her, leaning your weight onto her fully. "kinda jus' wanna kiss my pretty girlfriend. can i do that, hina?"

her face lights up pink once more. "study time! time to study! learning and stuff!"

summary: it's one of those uncommon afternoons where the pool is empty. you and your friends are going to use this time wisely to relax and momentarily forget about how strange the world is.

warnings: g/n! reader, they/them pronouns, second person pov

hatter's birthday only meant one thing. a giant party was being thrown down in the clubs and bars. and while all other beach members went off to celebrate with their leader, you found yourself setting your swimming items down on a nearby beach chair, pool looking quite empty this afternoon.

"it's so weird, the pool's quiet." tatta says, holding the brim of his hat as he dips a hand into the water.

"you can hear everyone from out here." ann states, accompanied by the muffled sounds of cheering, laughing and music, "my guess is that they'll be partying until sunrise."

kuina was quick to be at your side, putting her things down beside yours. she shot you a smile. "are you going in the water?" she questioned, sitting down on the chair, "it'll be fun."

it was definitely hot out, and tatta had mentioned how refreshing it was just putting his hand under the surface. "i'll see. what about you?" you hummed out, watching as she pulled the cigarette replacement from her lips.

she sighs out, looking to the sky, "it's way too hot, i don't think i'll leave the pool once i'm in." a smile is placed on her lips once she sees you lock gazes with her. "if you come with, then it'll be the perfect day."

"is that so? then i'll join you." you chuckle, pulling out a towel from your bag for her. you set it on the free table, nodding to the side bar. "do you want a drink? i'll make you whatever."

she follows your movement and thinks for a moment before nodding her head. stretching her arms above her head, she mumbles, "a grapefruit cocktail?"

"sure thing." she offers you a wink in return. you smile, turning your head to the rest of the group. "anybody want something to drink?" you question, getting all of their attention.

ann and arisu shake their heads as usagi responds, shyly playing with the tag of her jacket, "no thank you, l/n."

arisu was already in the water, complaining about the heat a few minutes ago. he urged usagi to try the coldness, but she was a bit nervous. ann had been watching from her beach chair, glasses down onto her nose and book in hand.

tatta perks up curiously. "do you think they have chuhai?" he asks, getting up and excitedly walking into the bar and around the counter. he opens the fridge with a satisfied smile. "yes! they do! man, i love this stuff!"

chishiya, who only has his legs in the water as he was unwilling to remove his jacket, glances over his shoulder to you. "can you make me a kamikaze?" he requests, knowing full well you were able to. the smile on his face makes you roll your eyes.

"fine." you huff out, seeing kuina grin at you as she put her fake cigarette to the side. you leaned towards her, tilting her chin to press a kiss to her lips. when you pulled away, you hummed out, "you go first and i'll follow, alright?"

kuina nods, watching as you walk to the bar to prepare your drinks. getting up from her chair, she follows everyone else into the water. after a bit of convincing, she had managed to get chishiya to go waist deep into the water, looking a bit annoyed that ann wasn't forced to join in.

the heat was nice above you all. with the water so fresh and cold, it was easy to settle in. you had finished making the drinks and handed them out, some golden liquor in your own glass as you sat on the edge of the pool, legs dipped in. tatta had downed a few of his low alcohol level drinks, and joined the group with a cannonball, splashing even ann, who believed she was at a safe distance.

arisu was currently trying to beat usagi and chishiya at a contest of holding your breath under water. you watched in amusement as arisu and usagi went under with their eyes closed, not seeing how chishiya left himself above the water. with his hair already wet from tatta's attack, he had accepted tha the would have to join in on these games now.

a smile dawns on your lips as you see chishiya finally go under the water and hold his breath just as the other two rise up from the surface. even on days off, he couldn't help but trick his teammates. arisu and usagi both watch in awe as chishiya stays under the water for another two minutes before resurfacing.

kuina downed the rest of her drink, placing the glass on the far side of the edge beside you. "ah, it feels so nice to relax..." she sighed out, laying her head on her arms as she rest beside you, still in the water. you hummed in agreement, sipping from your glass. "you should come in already. you're gonna' burn."

you tilt your head as she lifted hers to stare at you. "soon. once i finish my drink." you retort, showing her the still half-empty glass. she frowns at you. "okay, okay. how about a kiss first?"

your girlfriend gives a groan, rolling her eyes at you, "seriously? a kiss?"

"you say that like you don't ask me for one when i tell you to pick up your shoes." you retort, leaning forward against your knees. you place your glass down next to you. "so?"

she's glaring at you a little now, but she does lean forward and press a gentle kiss to your lips. you hold her cheek, enjoying the amount of attention she was providing you before you hear a call.

"hey! look what i found!" tatta cheerfully announces, waving around a large bag of various water guns, "come on, let's have a battle!"

arisu excitedly pulls out a larger gun from the bag as tatta opens it on the pool edge. "sounds like a good idea. i haven't played with one of these in a long time." he jitters, already filling it up.

"and you, ann?" kuina calls, tossing her a pistol.

she catches it, putting her sunglasses on the table and inspecting the object, as if it were real. "i guess i'll have a go." she was a good shot, nobody could doubt that, and seeing ann dunk the gun to get water inside was a bit intimidating.

usagi pulls out a medium sized weapon. "i've never actually used one before." she mutters out, filling it with water like how arisu was.

"how about..." chishiya hums, retrieving a gun that was similar to usagi's, "ann, arisu and usagi vs tatta, kuina and y/n?"

"you don't want to join in, chishiya?" you say, handing kuina a gun as you took another.

"i'll be referee, and call out any illegal moves." chishiya states, already taking his spot on the side of the 'arena'. tatta had settled back into the water with a big gun, happily filling it with the pool water. "you may begin."

there's a beat of silence as everyone processes what the referee had said. then, ann shoots her water gun towards tatta first.

he recoils immediately, in the shallow end of the pool. "hey! ann!" he whines, arms up.

"the game started already." ann replies, already emptying out her pistol to tatta. chishiya shrugs his shoulders. he'll allow it.

as she goes to refuel, arisu aims towards kuina, narrowly missing as she ducks and aims her own weapon. usagi was still trying to figure hers out, appreciating the help that tatta was giving before she accidentally shot him in the face. you took one last gulp of your drink before avenging tatta by spraying ann first.

it was relaxing and quite exciting to be running around the pool like this. you all couldn't help but laugh at how arisu had slipped somehow and fell back into the deep end, not ending the flurry to attacks from your team.

tatta was always up and about only seconds after getting shot down. usagi, usually so collected and agile, was struggling to even aim and shoot the water properly. arisu had to assist her more times than she would like to admit. it was no question that ann would be so good at this either, and she managed to only get soaked from arisu's fall.

"kuina!" you called, feeling her hit your back with her gun.

"sorry!" she replies, lowering her weapon. she shrugs at you. "you were in my way!"

rolling your eyes, you go back to the range of attacks you put on arisu and usagi, not sparing a moment for them to gather themselves. you were ruthless that way.

chishiya clapped his hands from the edge of the pool. "illegal move, y/n." he states, making you throw your hands up in mock surrender, "they haven't reloaded. that's a two minute time out."

for your third time, you sit beside chishiya with your arms crossed. he has your water gun at his side, watching as kuina and tatta try to form a plan.

"how you feeling?" he suddenly asks, making you glance his way, "it's a nice day."

you agree, running fingers across your wet hair, "i'm okay. it just... it's nice to relax. you don't have to think about everything else." your eyes are trained on kuina, who aimlessly tries to get ann, "i miss it when we didn't have to worry about the militants all the time. they get on her nerves sometimes."

chishiya nods along, leaning back. "you know, before you two got together, she would always ask me to rig the game lottery so you could be paired up." he admits, and you smile in return, "she was obsessed with you from the start. and she was really happy when you asked her out."

"well she was always with me when you weren't around. it was hard not to like her." you state.

"you make her very happy." chishiya states, handing you your weapon back, "now go save her."

you blink, seeing your girlfriend getting cornered by ann and usagi as arisu goes against tatta. you sigh, taking the gun from chishiya and dipping back into the water, "i got it."

the grateful smile that lays on kuina's face when she sees you, that's something you could never get sick of.

Summary: Kuina is more stressed about your chapped lips than the wounds from her death match.

gorgeous kuina. that’s all i have to say for myself. i’m weak. warnings: s2 spoilers, mentions of violence, elements of grief, blood and injury, smoking. a bit of angst, a bit of fluff, maybe a kiss. word count: 1302 requested by: anon (this is the reuniting with kuina/chishiya request. i’ll be writing a chishiya one separately!) written by: archie support me on ko-fi!

The sounds of battle rang through the centre. Cries of anguish, the clatter of metal, screams of the dying. Even just listening wasn’t easy.

You sat against the wall of the sports centre’s atrium, knees parted to rest your elbows on. You’d intended to be in the dojo to search for Kuina but… Well, after hearing it, you couldn’t help being glad you’d missed registration.

You were split from your girlfriend on the run from that damn King of Spades, and after so many days of searching for her, you were struggling to resist your harrowing thoughts. That the King was too good, that she was amongst the litter of bodies on Shibuya’s streets.

But, you’d reason, she’s too tough for that. She’d been through too much, fought for too much. Her own struggles, her mothers’, the things society would hold against her... No, Kuina wouldn’t be wiped out by some nameless, faceless entity. She was far too strong. To worry about her like that was an insult.

So, you searched, game after game. Asked survivors if they’d seen a tall, beautiful girl with dreads, a blue bikini-- they’d only ever shook their head, half of them with pity in their eyes. So many people had lost their loved ones to this land, and they saw you as just another of the bunch.

They didn’t realise how stubborn you were, nor how powerful Kuina could really be. If anyone were to be left standing after all this, it’d be her, a beacon amongst the dust and smoke. Your beautiful Hikari.

Hell, you missed that face. Somewhere in your search, you’d vowed to carry a physical picture of her in your wallet once you got back home together. But until then, you’d have to close your eyes and remember, as you’d done every time the search got hard.

The way her brows would pull together playfully when you teased her, the way her eyes would scrunch and she’d slap your arm or shoulder as she burst into laughter. The way her whole face would light up when you let her dress you at the boutique, and then that smile when you’d buy it all. God, that smile. You needed to see it again.

After searching game on game, you finally found an ounce of hope.

The Jack of Spades. Yes, her kind of game. You’d hunted out this game specifically just to see if she may be at the registration, and when you saw its setting, your spark of hope burned brighter than ever.

A dojo.

Surely, a dojo game would be the place to find her. Surely, she was behind those doors, kicking everyone within an inch of their life. You strained to hear any scream of effort, any curse that carried her tone of voice, but there were too many to focus on. If she was in there, she was drowned out amongst the masses.

You bit at your lip. The whole place was dark, barely a peek of light from the dojo door. Was it a blind game? Were her ears astute enough to carry her through martial arts blindly? Was she even in there?

The taste of iron seeped into your mouth. Fuck, you’d been chewing your lip too much. If she’d come out of that dojo and see you bleeding, she wouldn’t hesitate to scold you, and the thought brought a bittersweet smile to your chapped lip. You’d give anything for her to come out and scold you, to feel her dainty fingers rub vaseline on your skin like she always did, cigarette hanging from her own mouth. “Look after yourself,” she’d whine around the stick, “No lover of mine can have bad lips.”

Oh, the amount of times you’d plucked the cigarette from between her teeth. “What about this, then?”

“Hey, bad lungs are only on the inside,” she’d give an almost annoyed laugh and take it back. “And smoking looks cool on the outside.”

You chuckled to yourself in the darkness. It was a foreign sound in this land, even to your own ears. The kind of sound that only she could bring out of you.

She had to come through those doors. She had to.

Minutes ticked by, soon reaching almost an hour, and finally the violence from behind the door started dying down. Less screams and less sounds of impact - whoever was left was growing tired.

You squeezed your eyes shut and hoped against hope that she’d be out soon. That she’d come through that door with those bright eyes and pull a face at the state of you.

Shhhhk.

The door slid open.

A few pairs of footsteps trod the floorboards, barely visible until the blimp outside caught fire.

It lit up the air with its orange firelight, the smell of fumes and oil dropping from the skies, seeping in through the windows. It lit the trio that battled the length of hallway, falling forwards on heavy feet, one after the other.

And a pair of those feet clad in platform flip-flops.

The fire lit the side of her face, battered and bruised.

You shot up to your feet, mouth running faster than your mind. All you knew was that you needed her eyes on you. “Kuina!”

And they found you.

Her whole existence changed. Where she was before so visibly exhausted and hunched, aching and bleeding, her eyes lit up and a smile hitched the corners of her lips. She pushed past her fellow survivors and hobbled up the corridor as fast as she possibly could, though she couldn’t possibly match your sprint in her current condition.

You flung yourself at her, arms thrown around her waist as she clung to you, willing the tears not to fall from your eyes, “Fuck, I thought-”

“You thought I was dead?” She held tighter, a disbelieving, laboured splutter of humour parting her lips. “I’m not easy to kill, you know.”

“Not for a moment,” you pulled back with a shake of your head, unable to stop the trickle of a tear that fell from your eye as you held her face, cuts and bruises in abundance. “I didn’t think that for a moment.”

The fellow survivors passed without a word, and she took this time to look over your own face. She was so relieved to see you, her eyes so gentle and pretty-- and then, there it was. That little furrow of her brow, the quiet hint of irritation. “You’ve been biting your lips again, huh?”

A bubble of emotional laughter burst in your chest, raising a hand to wipe over your lip. It must’ve been only a spot of blood, but of course, she’d notice it. “I’ve been stressed without you.”

“What kind of excuse is that?” Her face lightened, gently taking yours in her hands. Those delicate thumbs ran over your lips, wiping away that minuscule drop of crimson before bringing you into a soft, indulgent kiss. She simply took a moment to share your breath with that closeness, live with you once more as if you were her cigarette.

You kept her close even once it’d drawn to a close. Fingers rubbing gently over the bare skin of her waist, careful to not hurt her, but you’re so aware of the slight raises on her skin, the trail of blood that your fingers slip on.

You give a soft sigh. It hurts your chest physically to see her like this, a gnawing ache that you just had to fix. “I saw a bathroom back there. Let’s get you patched up, darling.”

“Wait-!” Her eyes grew as she reached behind her, patting at her back pocket as if to check something. Then with a relieved breath, she nodded, her smile bright. “I didn’t drop my vaseline. I knew you’d need it.”

summary: angst prompt (“am i supposed to just let you go?”) and fluff prompt (“i just wanted to make sure you're okay.”) from my 2.5k event

warnings: language,

all you had been doing for hours was running. you hated it. normally, you wouldn't mind running this much. but, when you were being hunted for your life, you despised it. you soon found out not to play around with the king of spades after getting shot in the side leaving you where you currently are, sluggishly walking throughout the city continuously glancing around for the giant blimp in the sky. it'd been days since you last saw anyone, and you were beginning to think you would go insane if you didn't see someone soon.

you rested against a car, holding your side in pain as you tried to steady your breathing. you let go for a moment to check how many bullets were in your pistol currently, and sighed. you only had a few days left on your visa and was starting to worry about whether or not you would find a game in time or if it would be finished first. either way, you couldn't go far with this wound. you slowly slid down the car and rested your head against the door, closing your eyes and taking deep breaths.

you thought you were going crazy when you heard footsteps from behind you, and your eyes quickly opened and you aimed your pistol, ready to fire.

"woah, woah, wait!"

your blurry vision left you searching to figure out who was in front of you, but after focusing for a few seconds you lowered your gun. "hikari?" you said.

"oh my god, y/n. i thought you were gone!" kuina immediately hugged you tightly.

"ow," you mumbled in pain but hugged her back.

"are you okay?" she asked.

"not really," you shook your head. "i got shot at by the king of spades and this happened." you lifted your shirt slightly to show the bullet wound.

"y/n, that's bad," kuina said.

"i know," you nodded. "but i couldn't find anything," you sighed, leaning your head against the car again. "you're the first person i've seen in a few days, though. 'm glad it's you." your speech started slowing down the more you spoke, a little smile forming on your face. you were losing too much blood and you were starting to feel it now. "i missed you."

kuina tilted her head to the side, looking at you confused. "are you sure you're okay? you never say things like that." she said suspiciously.

"i'm fine," you waved your hand. "i just wanna take a nap."

"nu-uh, nope, c'mon," she shook her head and stood up straight again.

kuina grabbed you by one of your arms, lifting you up and hooking your arm around her neck with her arm around your waist. she glanced down at your bleeding side and bit down on her lip, knowing soon enough you would pass out. "alright, just stay awake a little longer, okay?" she said to you.

"i can try," you replied with a short nod.

"good enough for me," she said, starting to walk down the road with you.

after a few minutes of walking in silence, your head was starting to feel heavy, and you felt yourself slouching against kuina as she held you up on both feet walking for the both of you. your hand was starting to slip off her neck and you almost collapsed to the ground if she hadn't caught you quickly.

"fuck!" she cursed, lifting you back up to your feet. "y/n? hey, y/n? look at me," her hand gently turned your face to look up at her.

as you looked up at her, your eyes were barely open and your vision was blurry as you tried to focus. "what is it?"

"i just wanted to make sure you're okay," she said softly. "i need you to stay with me, okay?"

"i'm right here, i'm not going anywhere," you mumbled. "but, i don't want you dragging me along."

"what do you mean?"

"i'm gonna die anyway whether you are with me or not," you started. "i don't want you to be with me when i drop."

"am i supposed to just let you go? you're crazy," kuina shook her head. "c'mon, we're almost there."

"okay," you murmured in response. you continued to walk beside her, and your eyes were slowly closing, black starting to fill your vision when you completely collapsed onto the ground.

"y/n!" kuina exclaimed. "shit, shit, shit," she cursed, looking down at you. "okay, come on," she said to herself, scooping you into her arms and holding you bridal style to get you back to the others faster. "please stay with me."

rushing back to where the others were, kuina was panicking due to you barely being responsive. thankfully, ann was the most calm person there and was able to bandage you up so you wouldn't lose anymore blood. kuina sat down next to you in silence as she waited for you to wake up, fiddling with the stick in her mouth to try and keep herself as calm as possible. she didn't know what she would do without you. you two were supposed to make it out of her together, not just one of you. let it be the damned king of spades to fuck everything up.

kuina let out a sigh and leaned her head against the wall, closing her eyes as she waited. she didn't know how long she'd been waiting, but it'd been well over two hours since she brought you to the others. ann had told her that without any kind of real medicine, it would take a while for you to wake up, but unsure of how long. that left her waiting for who knows how long until you would wake up.

suddenly, movement shifted beside her, and kuina immediately opened her eyes and looked down to see you waking up. "oh my god, y/n!" she gasped, leaning down and hugging you.

"ow," you let out, now fully awake from the pain of weight on your wound. "what happened?" you questioned.

kuina pulled away and looked down at you. "i brought you back to the others. ann fixed you up for me but, you were unconscious for hours," she answered.

"i'm sorry," you were quick to apologize. "i didn't mean to scare you like that."

"it's alright," she replied. "there's only two games left, so we're staying right here until it's finished or the king of spades finds us and we run to another spot."

you nodded your head, "i am perfectly okay with that, since i'm definitely not able to do much right now."

"don't worry too much, we're getting out of here," she smiled at you.

"i know," you smiled back. "i love you."

"i love you too."

- kuina had told you prior that day that she was going to meet up with chishiya and you had smiled at her before telling her that you’d probably hangout at the pool

- true to your word kuina found you in the pool but to her surprise you weren’t alone

- a girl that kuina vaguely remembers seeing around had jumped on your back while giggling loudly

- kuina and chishiya watched you play around with the girl but when she fluttered her lashes seductively at you kuina let out a scoff

- your girlfriend then marched over to the pool with a forced smile on her face

- when you saw kuina your smile widened and you almost threw the girl off of your back much to kuina’s pleasure

- but unfortunately the girl was determined to get you

- kuina jumped into the pool before she kissed you with a smile while subtly pushing the girl away from you

- as you were about to pull away kuina pulled you back in and you completely forgot about the girl as you made out with your pleased girlfriend

- after you finally managed to pull away you noticed that the girl had left but you didn’t really care as you wrapped your legs around kuina’s waist to continue your make out session

- after that experience kuina kept you away from the girl that would occasionally sent you flirty smiles but she would always stop once she saw your girlfriend with her arm around you

mira kano —

- you were sitting on mira’s lap as you fed her strawberries with a smile until a guy that you played a game with recently walked over to you shyly

- mira’s smile fell from her face as the boy handed you a bouquet of flowers, his reasoning being that he was thankful that you saved him during your last game

- her grip on your waist tightened as you awkwardly took the bouquet but he didn’t leave as you had expected

- instead he sat down while your girlfriend eyed him carefully

- he started talking to you about how he couldn’t stop thinking about you and even when you told him you were dating mira he wouldn’t back down

- fortunately you were finally able to convince him to leave after ten minutes

- mira noticed how bothered you felt afterwards so she made sure to distract you all day long by kissing you sweetly in your room or by doing each other’s hair

- when it became night mira sneaked out of your shared room while you were sleeping to set the guy up by placing a few cards that she managed to get a hold of underneath his bed

- then she went to hatter to inform him of the ‘traitor’ and he immediately send aguni and his militants after him

- while the militants tortured and killed the man cruelly, mira was watching everything what they did to him through the surveillance cameras with a sadistic and crazed smile on her face

- by the time you woke up the next morning mira was peacefully sleeping next to you and the man that had been flirting with you was long dead

morizono aguni —

- you and aguni were sitting at a table outside when a beautiful girl approached you with a charming smile

- she’d ask you if she could take a seat next to you while aguni was sitting across from you with a questioning gaze wondering whether you knew her or not

- after you told her that she could with a kind smile hers grew slightly before she sat down closely beside you so your bare thighs were touching

- the girl talked to you for thirty minutes straight while completely ignoring aguni which didn’t really bother him

- that is until she started complimenting you endlessly with seductive eyes

- her hands grazed your thighs and if aguni wasn’t as observing as he was he wouldn’t have noticed

- after having realised that she was flirting with you he’d watch your reactions closely with clenched fists and gritted teeth while glaring at her but when he saw that you were awkwardly smiling at her while blushing madly he got slightly upset

- but he’s impressed she hasn’t backed off yet as he glared at her

- he’d make up some excuse that the two of you had to leave and before you could even properly say goodbye to her he pulled his arm around you before leading you away

- you would be slightly confused as to what was happening but aguni reassured you that he just wanted to leave

- you didn’t question him and now anytime the girl was around, aguni would make sure that she was as far away from you as possible

- the next time she would try and hit on you aguni would send one of his militants after her in a way that you would never know that he was the one to kill her

rizuna ann —

- when you started dating ann you realised that if you wanted to spend some time with your girlfriend you had to be around her workplace a lot

- after a while ann noticed that you were always discarding your job as bartender just to be with her and she felt slightly bad so she told you that she’ll try and visit the bar more often even though she didn’t like being surrounded by drunk idiots

- but she knew she had to make some sacrifices to make your relationship work so she did exactly what she told you she would

- she swiftly moved through the sweaty bodies to make her way towards you when she noticed a man sitting on one of the barstools

- she wouldn’t have thought anything of it if he wasn’t there everyday staring at you while telling you some shitty pickup lines

- you hadn’t noticed your girlfriend yet as you talked to him while mixing a drink for some girl

- ann silently creeped up behind you before she wrapped her arm around your waist and burying her head in your neck while you let out a laugh at your girlfriend’s unusual amount of public affection

- the man glared at your girlfriend as she kissed your neck while staring right into his eyes with a flicker of amusement in her eyes

- when she pulled away there were multiple red marks left which was either her lipstick or fresh hickeys

- during the whole evening ann managed to piss the man off in every possible way by raising her brow temptingly while she kissed you or by ‘accidentally’ stepping on his foot with her heel

- after that you never saw the man again

ryohei arisu —

- you were eating with a group of friends that tatta introduced to you while arisu held your hand beneath the table as he ate

- he noticed one of the guys constantly staring at your lips which made him frown slightly before he shuffled closer to you

- after a while the guy called your name which caught your attention and told you that there was some food on your lip

- you tried to get it off but it seemed like you kept missing it

- the guy reached over the table to clean your lip with his thumb while staring intensely into your eyes which made arisu scoff

- he wrapped his arm around your waist and he pulled you into him while the guy glared at him

- you noticed that your boyfriend’s mood dampened so you quickly stood up while dragging him to your shared room entirely ignoring the guy that called after you

- when you’d get to your room you’ll both sit down on the bed while he played with your fingers

- you’d ask him whether he was jealous and he’d blush while shaking his head softly

- a smile spread across your face at your boyfriend’s shyness before you wrapped your arms around his neck and peppered his face with kisses

- he’s blushing so hard omg

- when you calmed down he’ll kiss you longingly while pressing your entire body into his

- the rest of the day was spend on your room and anytime arisu saw the guy that tried to flirt with you he’ll pull you away with some lame excuse

shuntaro chishiya —

- you were lounging outside as you waited for your boyfriend while he was in an executive meeting when your friend approached you with a flirty smile

- chishiya had told you that he didn’t like her because she flirted with you but you were completely oblivious to it and told him that’s just how she’s always been

- so he wasn’t very pleased when he saw her practically grinding her hips subtly into your lap while doing your makeup

- chishiya noticed that she was wearing a very revealing bikini that showed her cleavage off and he was sure that she wore it specifically for you which ticked him slightly off

- your boyfriend slowly strolled towards your lounge chair as you rambled to her about some movie that you watched before the borderlands while she smiled and nodded

- when you noticed chishiya standing next to you, you almost jumped off the chair with a happy smile which warmed his heart slightly

- he barely looked at your friend and pushed her away from you to kiss you gently on your lips which angered her slightly

- chishiya swore he could see smoke coming from her ears when he ‘accidentally’ spilled his drink on her white bikini that she had put on for you before pulling you into his lap

- when you had worriedly asked her whether she needed help your boyfriend cut your friend off by telling you that she was old enough to look after herself

- the girl had no other choice then to leave but not before glaring at the smirking man that was playing with your hair

- later on chishiya made sure she didn’t survive the next game she played with him while never directly killing her

suguru niragi —

- niragi often whined that you should have a little more fun at the beach so when your friend asked you whether you wanted to go dancing with her tonight you agreed

- your boyfriend was playing games tonight and you had still some visa over and so did your friend

- when you arrived at the dance floor there weren’t many people because most of them had left for the games but you liked it more this way

- after dancing for a while you decided that you needed a break from the sweaty people that were constantly moving around you so you sat down on a high chair that gave you a clear look of the room

- you noticed that people were returning from their games and your eyes couldn’t help but wander towards where the dj stood

- he was a man about your age and you knew that he was a pretty decent guy so you made your way over to him to ask him about how he did his job

- the guy was very funny and offered to teach you the basic skills of a dj which you excitedly accepted

- when niragi returned from his game he was ready to see you somewhere around waiting for him but he was upset when he didn’t see you

- your boyfriend looked for you in your shared room and the pool before he found your friend and demanded from them to know where you were

- with a trembling voice she explained to him that you should be somewhere on the dance floor which surprised niragi slightly

- he scoffed at your scared friend before he dashed off to find you

- the look on his face when he saw you laughing with a man at the dj booth was terrifying to the people around him and they all quickly scrambled away from him

- his riffle was the first thing you saw as he pointed it to your new friend who was both shocked and horrified

- you looked at niragi only to see him glaring coldly at the man

- you tried to convince him not to kill your friend and eventually you managed to coax your boyfriend by kissing him and telling him all kinds of sweet things

- after that niragi dragged you away from him and you spend every waking hour beside him for the next week

- unfortunately your friend ‘died’ during the next game but niragi won’t admit to doing anything

takatora samura —

- on the ride to a game arena a girl sat down next to you while your boyfriend sat in the front passenger seat

- he didn’t think anything of it but when he saw that her face was inches from yours with a flirty smile on her lips he was sure that she was trying to hit on you

- samura didn’t say anything even though his grip on his sword tightened and just watched you nervously decline the pretty girl who was very persistent

- she giggled loudly when she put your hand against hers to compare your hand sizes, which made no sense to your boyfriend before she intertwined her fingers with yours

- you nervously chuckled while scratching the back of your head not knowing what to do while samura watched you suffer quietly

- then the girl proceed to twirl your hair around her finger for the whole ride and tell you corny pick-up lines that made you laugh awkwardly

- but samura totally felt like banging his head against the car door when the girl next to you let out an obnoxious loud giggle when you sneezed before she told you that it sounded cute which only made you blush harder

- your boyfriend couldn’t be happier when you finally arrived at the arena before pulling you away from the girl with an unfaltering gaze

- when she saw your intimidating boyfriend staring holes into her head while holding his sword tightly she stopped her attempts to charm you and tried to avoid him as much as she could

- but during the spades game he swiftly sliced her throat while you were distracted, ending her life effortlessly

- after that occurrence the people that were also in your car spread the word that samura had killed a girl because she flirted with you

- now your boyfriend is the only person allowed to flirt with you

yuzuha usagi —

- the two of you were walking around the beach while holding hands when a guy accidentally ran into you

- you’re forced to let go of her hand when you fall down with the man following right after

- your eyes widen as you notice that his face is inches from yours and it doesn’t look like he’s planning on moving away until you let out an awkward cough

- the man crawled off of you while usagi worriedly helped you up, making sure that you didn’t get hurt

- after he composed himself he apologised endlessly, telling you that it had been an accident and you forgave him quickly

- he shyly smiled at you before introducing himself to you entirely ignoring usagi which made her frown shortly

- you introduced yourself before you introduced usagi as your girlfriend but you noticed her smile fall slightly as he dismissively nodded at her, keeping his attention on you

- when he was about to say something else you quickly made up some excuse that the two of you had to leave before you dragged usagi away

- you immediately reassured her that there was something wrong with him and that it had nothing to do with her which made her smile slightly at you

- but usagi felt like he was everywhere you went which angered her slightly

- when she confronted him he told her that she was exaggerating and being paranoid before harshly bumping into her shoulder as he left

- later that evening you noticed your girlfriend’s dampened mood so you tried to make her happy by spending the whole day together making her forget about the man
