°˖ ⊹ ꒰🌱꒱ ♡ definitely don’t expect killua to be the sappy, super overly affectionate type. he will either call you a dumbass or stupid or some other insult. but when you protest he’ll just be like “whatt? i meant it in a nice way.”

killua is not a pda guy. the most he’ll do in public is hold your hand and even that’s a coin toss. he isn’t that fond of things like that anyway, but mostly he’s just worried that if an enemy of his sees you with him that they’ll target you in order to hurt killua. he’ll never admit that, though.

in private it is a different story. he lets you play with his hair and likes to lay with his head in your lap. once he fell asleep like that and woke up so embarrassed even though you told him over and over that it was fine and you thought it was cute, which just made it worse. it’s rare he’s the one initiating physical affection, but it does happen. it’s slightly awkward when you first start dating though, since obviously that’s a new concept to killua. i can definitely imagine him doing that yawn and stretch move when you’re watching a movie or something, but when you reciprocate his affection killua gets all flustered.

killua has legitimately no idea what to do in a romantic relationship. hell, he doesn’t know what a good family relationship should even look like, and he never made a friend until he was like 12, so healthy relationships are a foreign concept. he will be absolutely flabbergasted when you buy him gifts every once in a while just to make him happy, and he’s shocked when you buy him chocolate robots for Valentine’s Day, and he is beyond confused when you give him compliments or tell him that you love him.

killua always admonishes you when you buy him stuff. whenever you bring him something he’ll just stare at it and scoff. “why do you even bother buying me stuff? i’m rich enough to buy your whole family and more, so why do you even bother getting me stuff like this?”

he always takes it anyway so don’t even mind him. killua has a specific place where he keeps your gifts. when he’s away from home he keeps them on him in a knapsack or wherever he’s staying at the time, but when he’s at the zoldyck mansion, killua locks everything away in a box safely hidden and always keeps the key on him so his family can’t get to it.

speaking of his family. you are definitely out of your mind if you think killua is willingly taking you to meet them. absolutely not in a million years. if ever killua does need to go back to his home for something, usually to check on alluka, you are staying wherever you are until he gets back. he will also ask gon to keep an eye on you if gon happens to be traveling with you. killua would rather his family just not know about you at all lest the zoldycks do the same to you as they sometimes do with alluka- capture you, and then hold you over killua’s head and threaten you whenever they want him to do something.

okay enough with the angsty stuff and back to how literally clueless killua is about dating. when gon who is the rizz god for some fucking reason informs him that he needs to take you out on dates, killua is blindsided. at first he just takes you places he likes to go, like the skate park or heavens arena to watch fights, but gon pulls him aside again at some point and says that he needs to take you places that you enjoy. which is something that killua is kind of stubborn about at first, but he does actually want to make you happy, so he obliges.

there’s this post on like twitter or something where this guy is talking about how since spending time with his gf she has him watching stupid shit he would never watch like twilight or grey’s anatomy. that is basically what happens with killua. he’s doing stuff with you that he never thought he would do in a million years and enjoying it for whatever reason. don’t tell anyone though because he gets so embarrassed

one of the things he found out that he likes is wearing eyeliner. you made sone offhanded comment about it and that his eyes look like a cat’s and suddenly you were doing eyeliner for him. it took a lot of convincing, but when killua sees how good it looks on him, he’s asking you to do it for him every day. eventually you teach him how to do it himself as well

killua winds up going to gon a lot for relationship advice. what does he do when you’re sad? go to gon. what should he do for your birthday? ask gon! should he get you new shoes or a new jacket? what do you think, gon?

killua rarely lets you pay for stuff. he’s rich so he doesn’t see why he should

whenever you’re on your phone or reading a book or something, killua will randomly appear behind you and put his head on your shoulder and just watch what you’re doing in silence. but if he sees you’re doing something like online shopping, just scrolling through items, killua will tap the screen whenever he sees something he likes for you. he especially likes to pick out your clothes, and he’s actually good at it. unlike the going out on dates thing, he picks out what he thinks you will like and what looks good on you. honestly killua was the only character who actually changed clothes every day in the show so he’s good with fashion lmao. most of the time he’ll buy the item for you too

killua also doesn’t mind too much if you steal his clothes, like his hoodies or hats. he might not let you take the newer stuff, but he doesn’t mind letting you parade around in his clothes. on the flip side he will also steal some of yours.

killua is very much that bf who claims “im not hungry” but then proceeds to steal half your food. so you’ve learned that whenever he says that to order twice the food

around people he knows, mainly people he doesn’t like, killua likes to show you off- but in a subtler way. like he might casually hold your hand just to show everyone “yeah, i have a partner. no big deal haha”

you literally never have to worry about killua cheating on you. he is fiercely loyal. he’s not one of those bfs that, when approached by another girl or guy, is like “oh, im sorry, but i have a partner.” nah he’s sprinting full speed in the opposite direction of whoever’s trying to approach him. either that or he’s just super rude to anyone who asks for his number or is romantically interested in him.

*cue random mf who wants him* “hi! i thought you seemed really cool and i wanted to know if-“

“nah i got a partner”

“well i just was wondering-“

in addition to that, killua is very much the jealous type. if you haven’t watched the phantom rouge movie go watch it rn and tell me killua isn’t jealous. anyone else who makes you smile or laugh or makes the mistake of touching you, killua instantly hates. he always makes sure to be there whenever you’re around that person. situations like that are an exception to his PDA rule- he’ll throw an arm around your shoulder or waist if he’s feeling really protective, or hold your hand. he doesn’t get jealous about gon, though- all three of you are friends and he knows for sure gon wouldn’t try anything on you in a million years.

killua may or may not go a little overboard with his jealousy at times, though. he might mistake a simple interaction for someone trying to get with you

killua is on the protective side and doesn’t really like for you to be out without him or gon. if you aren’t back within a certain timeframe he’ll start spamming your phone with texts and calls to make sure you’re okay.

He is a stubborn little bastard, so he would wait until you would confess first. If you’re just as stubborn, he’d confess first through very obvious hints. He wouldn’t outright ask you though.

At the start of your relationship, Killua had a heard time opening up and getting use to all of the romanc-y stuff.

During the relationship he doesn’t change much, just a couple of soft kisses on the cheek and some affectionate head pats blossoming through.

Very jealous. And protective. One weird look from another person to you will make him go nuts.

That brings me to my next point, very intimidating. Maybe he’ll tower over the people he thinks are acting too creepy towards you and glares down at them, or maybe he’ll act a certain way to show his unsatisfaction.

Overall, very cool to hang out with, though, he sucks at planning dates.

His idea of a date would be just hanging outside together.

Very nosy! Very. Someone’s calling you, who? What do they want? Will you answer the call?

Goes all out with gifts, his love language is either gift giving or quality time. Either way, you’re being spoilt to death. If your love language is physical touch of words of affirmation, he’ll try and satisfy you as much as he can, but it might take a while for him to get used to it.

Killua has one of the weirdest pet names for you.

One of his favourite spots to hold you while walking down the street is by the hands.

While cuddling, he acts like he’s big spoon, but secretly enjoys being little spoon, he’s just too embarrassed to admit it.

He’s introverted, so he prefers to spend most of his time at home. Maybe you both watch movies and cuddle, or maybe you try to do something new together.

When he visits you, he buys tonnes of candy from a nearby shop and you guys rate them from 1-10.

He’s a very light sleeper, every single turn of yours might make him wake up. Sometimes you think that he isn’t even asleep.

Going off the idea reader has AuDHD, if your special interests are girly, I think he’d leave you gifts pertaining to that, but not by hand. Killua would leave gifts lying around for you like a cat brings a mouse to a doorstep. No words, just a gift that’s obviously from him.

He’ll deny he got it for you, but if you pretend like it’s from somebody else he’ll get offended and ask where the hell you got that from. You can’t win.

Alluka helps him pick out gifts for you.

Killua loves gift giving tbh.

Not only are you beautiful in his eyes, but he also can see that you are an amazing strategist and come in handy on missions and jobs. Even if you’re not quite as strong as the others in your group.

The group being that you, him, Gon, and Alluka travel around together in a group now.

Sasuke Uchiha

Rumors about who he likes had been flying around for a while.

And honestly, at first he thought you only dressed and acted so girly because you heard those rumors about how he liked girls who looked a certain way. Since apparently, that’s what people say? He doesn’t remember telling anybody anything about his preferences, but oh well.

But, once he realizes you really weren’t googling at him constantly or begging him for an ounce of attention, he was a bit more intrigued.

Not necessarily immediately, but when you two are around each other for a mission or something, and he gets to know you, you begin to catch his eye.

And even if he does strike your fancy, you weren’t too obvious about it.

At first, he wrote you off for being weak, but your strategic thinking really came in handy on a couple missions you accompanied him (and maybe Naruto and/or Sakura) on.

Unlike Killua, Sasuke is more the type to do things for you than buy things for you.

If somebody got to you and hurt you during a mission, like that scene with Sakura where he asks “who did this to you?” Yeah imagine that. Where he defends her by breaking a guys back or whatever.

Yeah you’d have to stop him if somebody hurt you.

Because like they say, ain’t no love like Uchiha love.

↘ He met you during his time on Greed Island when Mrs. Biscuit started training him and Killua. You were the granddaughter of a short woman and for many months you traveled with her, expanded your knowledge and fighting skills.

↘ So you showed up during one of the two boys’ training sessions, greeting your beloved grandma and bringing a paper bag filled with delicious, still hot food. With a smile, you invited everyone to the meal, and Gon looked at you more closely.

↘ You had by far the most sincere and friendly expression on your face he had ever met; your eyes were very warm and shiny, your smile was sincere, and your attitude showed no malevolence. Also, you smelled like freshly picked daisies and juicy peaches, and your voice sounded really nice.

↘ Gon immediately liked you, and as soon as it was time to train, he was literally delighted. You easily jumped between the enormous stones thrown in your direction, silently approached the opponent and aimed with the greatest accuracy at the target using small but sharp knives.

↘ You came out calmly from around the corner. Seeing a crying woman in the distance and a fleeing man in a black hood on his head, you immediately reacted, grabbing him by the neck and knocking him to the ground.

↘ You were not only beautiful and comely in the eyes of a young boy, but also incredibly strong and brave. Killua immediately held his breath as he looked at you more closely. Startling the three friends, he ran towards you. He wasn’t entirely sure why he did it, but as soon as he was right next to your person, he just smiled and said “Hello”.

↘ In your right hand you held a phone with headphones, and in your left a bottle of cool water. You looked really good, so Leorio glanced at you every couple of moments, working up the courage to talk to you and get to know you. ↘ You started your workout by warming up all your muscles and running in place. You did a few squats and push-ups, and finally you adjusted the shoes on your feet, approaching one of the two barbells located in the gym. Marriage || Killua/Reader

summary: killua and you are finally joined in holy communion, but he feels that it's not enough. he still has one last thing he has to do to make sure you don't run from him. (Killua is aged up here, he is an adult, 18+! This is part 2! For "Love?")

warning: yandere themes, forced relationship (?), gaslighting (from killua & towards yourself), forced marriage, toxic family (zoldycks are a warning), manipulation, forced/tricked pregnancy, toxic stuff everywhere.

The following day you had woken up as usual, but you were accompanied with a heavy weight on your shoulders. You softly jolted as you felt the bed dip beside you as Killua had arose in bed, softly wrapping his arms around your waist.

He gently leaned against you, his face squishing into yours as he snuggled with you. "Today's that day," he said, with a bright smile. Yeah, it is, you thought nervously, the previous nights event still vividly in your mind.

Killua didn't say much as he saw the smile painted on your face and got up, "we gotta get ready!" he said cheerily giving you a kiss on the cheek before getting up from bed. It was almost like old times you thought, almost like the Killua I knew.

The day went on normally, except there was clearly a more livelier feel to the halls of the Zoldyck mansion. Which although shouldn't be a big deal, was, because the Zoldyck's rarely had guests. Also, because they were a family of assassins meaning they had strict privacy standards.

Truthfully, the festive mood had begun yesterday, it was in full swing now. With guests already pouring in just before lunch time. Many of these guests were family members of Zoldyck servants, Killua's mothers family, his fathers family, and of course, Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, and, you couldn't believe it but Hisoka too?

Clearly they've been expecting a wedding for quite some time, you thought. Honestly it wasn't a surprise, after all Killua's father didn't care to hide his birthing agenda for you. It made you wonder whether anyone in this family actually saw you in a normal light.

Before you could even say a word to the guests though, you were ushered by maids into a room. A wedding dress and veil had been chosen by you a week ago, the one you were now currently dressed into. The wedding was to be quick, that much was obvious.

In around an hour you were ready to walk down the aisle, with none other than Killua's brother, Illumi. Illumi hadn't said anything, he just looked at you with an endearing smile and helped by brushing some of your hair behind your ear.

The large wooden doors were parted by servants to reveal a beautiful scenery outside. A beautiful floral stone decorated floor, filled with guests. There were many white clothed tables with food, gifts were already piled on one end of the area, and everything was all surrounded by the Zoldyck's lovely garden now decorated with ribbons, flowers, and stars.

You walked with Illumi down the soft creamy white carpet sprinkled with petals by Alluka, your chosen flower girl. You smiled as this was a celebratory occasion, albeit the pressure and the feeling of being trapped.

The wedding still turned out amazing. As when you had finally approached Killua he was already crying. It made your heart flutter, this was the man I love, you smiled at the thought, giggling slightly.

The hired priest went on and on for what felt like forever, while saying your vows your mind was in a haze. Killua could tell from your eyes how your mind had seemingly drifted off. Only to snap back into focus when Gon came holding the rings.

Killua trusted Gon with two roles that night, right hand man and ring bearer. He saw no other person quite as fit. Soon Killua grabbed your hand, softly slipping on the ring as you did the same.

The wedding was sealed with a kiss between you two, as you broke away and stared at Killua you couldn't help feeling joy. Maybe things were rushed but you genuinely loved him, you thought. You watched as Killua was hugged by Gon tightly, and as they both laughed.

The wedding went on fairly normal, music was played and a dance floor was set. Cake was served and champagne popped. You were introduced to many guests by Killuas father and you didn't fail to notice how he called you his daughter-in-law. It was quite heart warming seeing the whole Zoldyck family seem so ordinary.

Last on the agenda was a big feast, as you sat next to Killua with his family and later his friends. There was a lot on the menu with curry, to sushi, to baked goods, and drinks that were clearly all of high quality. It felt great to down one of your favorite drinks Killua passed to you, the Zoldyck's do consider my requests they're amazing, you thought in a frenzy to yourself.

As the wedding night came to a close guests were ushered off Zoldyck property. All the Zoldycks came to show them off. Killua had given Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio hugs as they smiled wishing him the best of luck. You thanked many of the guests who left through the large doors out front, taking care to show appreciation and waved Gon and the others away. The night had gone from festive to calm, which was a surprising mood for you as often the zoldyck family was quite serious. Especially when all in the same room, tension could be high and only small talk would be made. Today was clearly different as with a bright smile Silva Zoldyck had wished you both the most splendid tonight.

After taking his wife's hand as she giggled at his romantic gesture. Your in-laws left following soon, with Alluka giving you one last hug and Illumi giving Killua one small nod that you caught in the corner of your eye. Don't know what that's about, you thought.

You and Killua retired to your rooms soon after, changed and got comfortable. You just hopped onto your shared bed exhausted, stretching your arms out and yawning. "Great day yeah?" Killua asked, laying down beside you with a smile. You smiled back, nodding, "it was a wonderful day," you replied cupping his face with one hand, turning to fully face him. You took your time examining his face, those pretty white locks framed him so beautifully. The gentle shining in his sea blue eyes, and his little curve of a smile as your thumb brushed his bottom lip.

The night proceeded to be a blur, you remember initiating the kiss, your lips pressing against his as you both began to melt into one another. Then, you began to feel yourself grow semi-conscious. You felt yourself filled with pleasure, sounds falling from your lips as you chanted his name over and over. Your hands tightly wound the sheets beneath you but just as much let go to relax as your eye lids grew heavy for a moment before becoming aware again of the heat surrounding your body. Killua was above you, his hair now messy, kissing you and whispering how much he loved you, that this would be ideal for the future.

Then you found yourself wide awake the next day, you weren't alarmed no. It was a lovely night, it's a shame I can't remember well, you thought. As the soreness began to hit you and you noticed how you still had some bruises from your love making session.

You felt like you'd finally gained peace, that nothing could be better than this moment. It was just right, but you hadn't really thought it through fully. It was all very suspicious, you just let it all fly under your brain because the night was going so positively well.

What you hadn't realized was what Killua's words truly meant, that he had planned everything previously, and that all Zoldyck's knew about it. No, you didn't connect the dots, it didn't even cross your mind until a month later when your period was much later than usual. It all fell into place as when you turned the door knob and revealed the test to Killua. He did not looked shocked at all, rather happily relieved and slightly sinister as he gave you as kiss. "This is going to be awesome! Don't worry y/n, I'll take care of you forever!" Killua said, his eyes glimmering albeit holding your now shaking hands.

I see a lot of headcanons about him wanting someone who's very positive and a generally happy person (like Gon I supposes) but I don't really think that's the case.

I definitely see him liking a kindred spirit in terms of maybe not being super negative just like not all that optimistic. He definitely likes someone who enjoys having alone time because he does too and it such a breath of fresh air for him when he asks to be alone and someone doesn't immediately assume he's angry or annoyed. Also 100% into snark and sarcasm

Now I see him liking creative and brainy people. You don't have be like fucking Einstein but he like people who make him think and who just are generally curious, if this obvious or more reserved about it, he doesn't really care all that much.

He wants a trust worthy partner and someone who doesn't take everything like a joke. Like it's okay to be a joking person but he likes people who know when to take him seriously.

Physically affectionate and patient people, like pls be gentle with him bc the first time you say I love you, he nearly tripped and cracked his head open.

He's not the type to force you to be open about your mental health...that would be hypocritical of him but he definitely wants someone who can tell that's they're not a bother to him, otherwise he wouldn't even be with them.

Definitely likes someone who asks for consent before engaging in pda, and even then the most he'll accept is handholding. He doesn't care if your Introverted or Extroverted just not overly into super loud people.

In the end I don't think he really has any set type, he can love different people for different reasons, so really it's just up to who you are as a person.

- killua can definitely start off the relationship feeling a little awkward. These experiences are new to him, and he doesn't really know how to navigate being in a relationship. but just because it might take him a bit to get more comfortable, this doesn’t deny how much he really likes you.

- you and killua's relationship is mainly built off the new experiences you build together. You guys love trying out new things, exploring different places and cities, and will practically do anything as long as it's together.

- killua is gets a little shy with physical affection and PDA, both receiving and giving. expect him to be a blushing mess when you sneak up behing him and give him a bunch of random hugs and kisses (he litterally turns red like a tomato)!!

- but OMG when you guys are alone his favorite thing to do is cuddle. killua literally becomes like a cat snuggling next to you. you guys dont even have to be talking either, all that matters is that you’re both in each other’s presence.

-I have risen from the dead to make this post specifically -i can’t get over how adorable this boy is (in his own right lmao) -bullet points because I am too tired to write an actual one-shot (it’s 2:45 in the morn lmaooooo) -established relationship + aged up

-killua’s shirts look very comfy, be honest here lmao -he wears them all the time except when it’s sweltering hot (like on Whale Island--it’s way too hot there) -just seeing Killua bask in sunlight by the windowsill on a stormy night makes you wonder how comfy his shirts are -when Killua is off to have lunch and train with Gon, you decline -’I’m taking an active rest day today, you guys have fun’ -pfft, the heck is an active rest day? Killua has no clue. He brushes it off in favour of shrugging and bidding you a good day -that’s when you rummage through Killua’s room and find his shirts -they smell nice, like candy and chocolates (but not in a sense to overpower your nose) -it’s a soft smell and reminds you of childhood -killua’s shirts are very soft, you can’t help but flop on his bed and pull up the turtleneck -it’s sooooo soft -no wonder he wears them so often! -if it weren’t for the cool autumn air though, you would be sweating like crazy -it starts to rain outside as you lazily lay in bed -you wonder if Killua and Gon will stay out to train or come back home early -eventually you begin to fall asleep -it’s very cold in Killua’s room since he left the window open, and with the rain pelting outside, a draft causes it to feel like Siberia -but Killua’s turtleneck is warm and soft against your skin, like a warm hug that refuses to let you go -and his scent? -He's interested, only to see if you're powerful. Mostly because he wants Killua to only be with someone to help produce heirs for the Zoldyck family. Dude still really believes Killua is going to be the next head of the Zoldycks.

-He still has good manners with meeting people, even if they have a weak aura. Seeing you for the first time was a bit odd, you appeared to him as someone more lazy, yet your aura says otherwise.

-You basically met his standards right than and there. What made him even more pleased is you were strong physically, not just with nen.

-Somehow with you being so, calm, you made Killua smile and laugh. He never really saw his son this way. Curious, he wanted to find out more of him you could unlock.

-Brings up marriage WAYYYYY to early, maybe first or second time meeting you. Killua gets incredibly flustered at the thought and brushes it off.

Stepping away from the city crowd, you walked towards the cave, where The Bomber had summoned you. Under his instructions, you befriended the two boys, Killua and Gon.

The Bomber promised you many things. Things you wouldn't be able to obtain alone. You knew you wouldn't be able to clear the game without help. You couldn't take care of yourself in the 'real world', forget Greed Island.

On entering the cave, you saw no signs of your teammates. It was pitch black. Almost tripping on a rock in your path, you made your way inside. "Hello? is anyone here?" You called out. You felt a tap on your shoulder and you stumbled back. It was Genthuru. Without a word, Genthuru got you in a chokehold, facing the cave's mouth. "Let- Let me go!", you choked out. "You tricked me!". You tried wiggling and biting your way out, but he was far too strong for you to resist. "All pieces of a bigger game." Genthuru laughed. "We have some company." Killua, Gon and Bisky stepped out of the shadows. "Let her go." Killua demanded. Gon put his hand on Killua's shoulder in an attempt to calm him down. "Hand over all your cards, all three of you." Genthuru scoffed. "Who am I to listen to you???" Your face was red now and you couldn't think straight due to the lack of oxygen. "Trai..tor." Genthuru laughed. "I just needed you to bait them into my trap, you're too easy." "Give up, you're obviously outnumbered." Bisky piped up. Suddenly, a wasp, two times the average size, stung Genthuru in his face. He screamed, letting go of you and jumping in pain. Seizing this opportunity, Killua ran towards you, picking you up. He put you on his back and ran out of the cave with the others. Gon activated his Accompany card, making it to Masadora. You woke up in a bed, Killua asleep next to you. You shook your head, waking him up. Killua got onto his feet swiftly, putting his hand below your chin. Your cheeks heated up, he was standing really close. "Are you alright?" You stuck to nodding your head, still disoriented. "That's-that's good", he stuttered, "I'll get you some food.". He stepped away briefly, returning with a plate of food. He towered over you the entire day, tending to your every need despite you reassuring him that you were alright. A part of you felt bad, you only befriended him for your benefit, and here he was, treating you so well. Killua's presence was reassuring and warm. You could feel his soft breath on your head as you slowly drifted off. On waking up the following morning, you were sad to see him missing. He left you a note, though. With a pretty hair tie and some food. And a time to meet up later. That was sweet.

‘I’ve already collected enough badges, don’t need that one’, the white-haired boy had his hands stuffed away in his pockets, a disinterested gaze met yours.

‘B-but I-‘. ‘Don’t care’, the boy closed his eyes, now turning his back to you.

You didn’t want to cry, to show you were weak, but you went through so much trouble for nothing.

‘Huh?’, Killua frowned when he could hear some cute, sniffling sounds from behind him. ‘I-I just w-want a friend’, you wiped your tears away with the sleeve of your pink sweater.

‘H-hey, are you crying?! Stop crying!’. ‘J-just l-leave me alone!’, you quickly turned around, running as fast as you could from the white-haired boy.

‘Tch, idiot’, Killua gritted through his teeth before walking the other way, ‘Who takes a hunter exam to make friends’.

Killua stopped walking when he considered his own words. Images of Gon forced themselves into his head.

‘Idiot, idiot, idiot!’, Killua felt frustrated. Why did you have to say something like that? Why did you have to remind him of himself? He knows better than anyone what it’s like to long for a friend, and since you went to all this trouble… Even participating in the hunter exam… ‘Fine!’, Killua turned back around, ‘I can hear her sob from here, it’s not like I would waste much time’.

It didn’t take long for Killua to find you. You were sitting on the ground, head resting against the trunk of a tree.

‘Go away’, you sniffled into your sleeve, eyes overflowing with tears. ‘Here, you dropped this’, Killua tossed the badge towards you.

You reluctantly caught it, a sulking expression now on your face.

‘How many badges do you have?’.

You frowned, confused by his question. What did it matter? It was obvious he didn’t want to be friends with you.

‘Take as many as you want’, you tossed your bag towards the boy.

‘W-what?’, Killua’s eyes widened when he could see you'd collected over 10 badges, ‘How did you get these?’. ‘Stole them’, you slowly stood up from the ground, wondering what his intentions were.

‘How?’.

‘W-what do you mean ‘how’?! You don’t think I’m capable of doing so?’, you raised your voice. He underestimated you, so much was clear. ‘Hm’, Killua raised his shoulders, both of his hands still in his pockets, ‘Let’s make a deal’.

Killua couldn’t help but be intrigued by you. There weren’t many kids his age that were as strong as him, but you and Gon might be the exceptions.

‘A deal?’, you crossed your arms, eyes fixed on the bag that was laying between the two of you. ‘If you can get your bag back, I’ll be your friend’. ‘R-really?’, you intertwined your hands, ‘S-so it’ll be like a game?’. ‘Guess so’, Killua smiled, closing his eyes. ‘Deal!’, you smirked, focusing your eyes on your bag. ‘Okay, see you’, the white-haired boy smirked before he picked up the bag and disappeared into the distance.

You sighed, dragging your feet while walking down the crowded streets, ‘Eh, I’m tired’. ‘Just a little bit further. Leorio’s waiting for us in that restaurant’, Gon smiled at you. ‘Good, I’m starving’. ‘I told you to eat some breakfast!’, Killua smacked against the back of your head, ‘Idiot!’. ‘Hey, you’re an idiot!’, you pouted while rubbing over the spot where he’d hit you.

‘Let’s try to be kind to each other, okay?’, Gon nervously meddled, ‘You can order something, I’m also hungry. ‘That’s because you haven't had any breakfast either! You’re both idiots’, Killua scoffed while grabbing both of your heads, ‘Now we’re going to waste time because you two didn’t listen to me!’.

You let out a guilty giggle, Gon quickly following your lead. The two of you knew Killua was right, he always was. It was a trait you both came to love and hate at the same time.

‘We need to get money to buy Greed Island, we can’t waste time like this’, Killua let go of your heads, ‘I hope Leorio has figured something out. I don’t like the idea of hunting down Spiders’.

‘If he calls, run. If he calls, run. If he-‘.

‘You told me you two were the only ones? I’m starting to feel like I’m running a daycare, damn brats’.

Adrenaline immediately rushed through your veins when you could hear the dissatisfied grunts of your friends.

You quickly jumped away from the window, now looking at the unfamiliar face. ‘Who are you?’.

‘Phinks’.

‘Y/N run’, Killua never sounded so serious before. All the playfulness, all the mockery, the sarcasm… There wasn’t any trace left of it in his tone.

‘Don’t’, the tall man tightened his grip around their arms, ‘I’ll kill them if you try’. ‘What do you want?’, your eyes were lingering on the burn marks around Killua’s ankles.

You wanted nothing more than to shove the man’s face into the concrete wall next to you, but the fact that he’s managed to catch both of your friends told you everything you needed to about his strength – he could easily kill you if he wanted to.

‘Do you know the chain user?’. ‘Chain user?’, you frowned at the unfamiliar name, ‘Maybe… Maybe not. What’s it to you?’.

‘Idiot!’, Killua broke free from the man’s grip, tearing his shirt in the process.

You noticed the way that the man’s eyes widen, he obviously didn’t expect Killua to be so strong.

‘Why would you lie? You know we’re dealing with one of the spiders, right? I told you to run when I say so! What’s wrong with you? Do you want to get yourself killed?’. ‘I was trying to get us out of here! Why do you need to be like this? I’m strong too, you know?’.

Phinks frowned, trying to grasp what was happening before him. Was it arrogance? Were you two mocking him? Were you trying to distract him? He swiftly looked at the boy he was still holding onto, maybe his expression gave something away.

‘We’re friends, don’t worry’, Gon smiled while looking at the blonde, ‘They’re always like this’.

‘Enough’, Phinks grabbed Killua’s arm again. ‘Hey, Mr. Sweatpants, I was talking to him!’.

You froze when you could sense another unfamiliar presence behind you, his aura just as horrible as the man standing before you.

‘What’s taking so long? Can’t handle a couple of kids? Pakunoda and Machi are already waiting in the car’. ‘I’ve only got two hands Nobunaga’, Phinks smirked, ‘You can take the little girl. Watch out, she’s got an attitude’.

‘Don’t worry your little girlfriend will be fine’, Phinks sighed while sitting down on a stone, ‘Machi and Pakunoda were in the car behind us, they’ll be here soon’. ‘G-girlfriend?’, Killua raised his voice, cheeks red, ‘S-she’s not my-‘. ‘Oh?’, Gon looked with big eyes at his friend, ‘I really thought you liked her’. ‘Why would you think that? You’re as big as an idiot as her!’, Killua pressed his nose against Gon’s, his digit pressed against his head.

‘Then why are you blushing?’.

Phinks couldn’t help but let out a small smile at how innocent Gon sounded in contrast to his friend. He tried to grasp how they could be so skilled that they’d managed to track his fellow spiders without them noticing.

‘Get off me! I can walk myself!’.

‘There’s your little ray of sunshine’, the blonde massaged his forehead when he could hear your voice again, ‘She never shuts her mouth, does she?’. ‘You get used to it’, Killua and Gon both simultaneously replied.

‘I know you have the same IQ as Gon, but please don’t say anything about Hisoka’, Killua looked at you, hoping you would be smart enough to pretend you never saw him before.

‘This one doesn’t know anything about the chain user either’.

You scanned the room, trying to count how many people were in it.

‘Huh?’, you smiled when you saw the magician, ‘Hisoka? Is that you?’.

‘Idiot’, you could hear Killua’s voice in the back of your head.

‘And you are?’, Hisoka smirked while playing with his cards.

All eyes were on the two of you. Everyone seemed to be interested in your relationship with their fellow troupe member.

‘I took the Hunter exam with you’, you smiled, ‘I wanted to be your friend, remember? Brought you the badge you needed’. ‘Ah yes, I remember. You two were there too’, Hisoka pointed at Gon and Killua.

‘Again’.

You could see how Gon’s hand started to bleed, little drops of blood falling onto the cold stones underneath him.

‘K-killua?’.

The only thing you could see in his eyes was anger.

‘Killua? I’m scared’.

A symphony of fear and sadness flooded your eyes. You didn’t want to feel like this, but neither one of you was strong enough to fight off one of the spiders, let alone the bunch of them.

‘Huh?’. Your soft sobs seemed to pull him out of his trance. Two blue eyes were now staring into yours, ‘Gon’s fine, don’t worry’.

‘A-ai, don’t worry Y/N, it doesn’t hurt’, Gon forced a smile on his face, a determined look in his eyes.

‘But-‘, ‘Too much noise, need quiet’.

You froze when you felt someone pulling your arm behind your back, nearly breaking it.

‘Shut up or I’ll break it’.

‘Try and I’ll kill you’.

Killua’s aura completely changed. His usually bright blue eyes went dark, a villainous grin on his face.

‘Sorry, can’t let that happen’. Two of Hisoka’s long fingers pressed a card against Killua’s neck, keeping him in his place.

‘Fei stop’. The man they called ‘Nobunaga’ sounded calm, as if it was normal to threaten a child.

‘Scared, huh?’, Killua’s soft voice grounded you, ‘I always knew you were a scaredy-cat’.

You knew this was his way of distracting you from what was happening around you, from the pain in your arm. You knew he must be on edge too, with Hisoka threatening him… even so, he wanted you to feel okay, to stay strong.

‘Tch’, the man behind you – reluctantly – let go of you, pushing you away from him.

‘Y-Y/N?’, Killua genuinely felt overwhelmed when he felt your hands grabbing around his arm, your head pressed against his shoulder, ‘You know Hisoka’s standing behind me, right?’.

Ah, there it was again, Killua’s grumpy voice. A sound you grew to adore over the last few months.

‘Hm, so sweet and innocent’, Hisoka smirked, pulling his card away when he saw Killua’s burning cheeks.

‘Killua? Gon?’, you softly knocked on the door of your friends' hotel room. ‘What’s wrong?’, Gon opened the door, a startled look in his eyes. ‘I-I can’t sleep, I-I’m scared and Leorio won’t answer his door… I think he’s having a party with Zepile’.

‘Idiot’. You could see Killua sitting on the ground, a smug look on his face. ‘You always sleep in a room together! It’s not fair!’. ‘No need to fight’, Gon once again tried to meddle, ‘You can stay here’. ‘Let’s watch a movie!’, you smiled, immediately jumping on the big bed.

It didn’t take long for the three of you to be sitting next to each other on the bed. Gon and Killua smiling next to you, eyes flickering with joy.

‘Oh Killua, I want to be able to fight like that!’, ‘We already do, idiot’.

‘Hm’, you smacked your lips together after yawning, ‘So tired’.

You didn’t notice the way your head fall onto Killua’s shoulder; you were too tired to wake up from his scoldings.

‘Oh’, Gon gently tapped on your shoulder, ‘Seems like she’s asleep’. ‘Get her off me! I can’t sleep like this’, Killua looked the other way, hoping Gon wouldn’t notice his cherry-red cheeks. ‘Are you okay? Do you have a fever?’, Gon widened his eyes when he noticed Killua’s red cheeks. ‘W-what? No, I’m fine’, Killua turned his head further away, ‘Let’s just go to sleep, it’s not like we’ll be able to wake her up. You know how she gets once she’s sleeping’.

‘Hey Killua!’, you tried to catch up once you noticed your friends were already walking ahead, ‘I’m hungry’.

‘Again?! We’ve just entered the game!’, ‘I’m hungry too’, Gon nervously chuckled. ‘Fine! Why’d I even expect to start playing right away when I’ve got you two idiots with me’.

‘Let’s go there!’, you pulled Gon behind you, ‘Seems cozy’.

‘I’m scared, it’s so dark’, you whispered, hoping your eyes would still adjust some more to the darkness of the night. ‘It’s fine, we’re here’, Gon’s kind voice made sure you felt more at ease.

‘Eeee!’, you jumped into the air, quickly hiding behind Killua, ‘I-I felt something!’. Your hand grabbed Killua’s, the other wrapped around his arm. ‘H-hey!’, he turned his head to look at you.

His eyes softened when he could see the way your cute little nose was pressed against his arm, your eyes closed in fear. He felt a sudden warm and fuzzy feeling when he realized you felt safe with him, that you ran towards him to protect you.

‘D-don’t worry, I’ll protect you’.

‘H-huh?’, your eyes widened when you could feel Killua’s hand tightening around yours. ‘Don’t worry Y/N. I’ll keep you safe’. You blushed when you could see him smiling at you, ‘T-thanks Killua’.

You knew your voice must sound fragile, since you felt too embarrassed to talk properly.

‘Ai! I’ll protect you too!’, Gon appeared next to Killua, his smile as bright as ever, ‘We’re your friends, we’ll always be there for you, no matter what’.
