au scenario: an experiment with a potion and a time turner goes awry and he manages to bring the younger version of himself from another timeline into his current reality. his younger version has just received his hogwarts letter and is still best friends with lily. he also has a decent relationship with his parents. but voldemort still lives in that universe, and everything else is still largely unchanged. severus can only lash out and react in anger when the younger version of himself demands answers about lily and everyone else’s whereabouts in his reality. when he finally runs out of steam, severus has nothing else to offer but the guilt that he’s never spoken out loud. to his great surprise, his younger self responds by embracing him tighter, suddenly desperate to give him comfort he didn’t know he needed.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Sev is carrying 14 books. He's a stack of books with legs. I'm getting emotional. As summer approaches I remember how I wanted to see a fanfiction/fanart of Severus and Lily being Camp Counselors at a summer camp (because I was a camp counselor so my ideas were running.)

My specific idea was this happening at the summer after 5th year, meaning after the worst memory.

Also Severus is barley handling the kids, and yet they like him the most - because it makes them laugh how much he struggles.

Lily finds it adorable because she never thought he'd manage younger kids (and he doesn't) (and she's a bit jealous cus she wanted to be the favorite counselor).

Only reason Severus didn't quit the first day was because of a single word og endorsement from Lily's side.
