Authors Note: I love Daenerys and I think the last season didn’t do her character justice. She would not have done what she did. They changed her character's personality in the last season.

“Dany? Are you okay?” Y/n asked her sister as she found her looking out the window down at Meereen. Y/n knew she was stressed lately and the deasions she’s had to make have dampened her spirit.

“Fine. I’m fine.” Dany answered with a tough face before it fell. She never could pretend in front of Y/n.

“You're my sister. I know when you're not.” Y/n smiled, tearing her playfully. Walking over to where Dany was standing. The sisters didn’t have as much time alone together as they’d like. But they made do.

“Being Queen is…”

“Harder than you thought.” Y/n finished for her. Already knowing what Daenerys wanted to put to words.

Daenerys nodded her head solemnly in agreement. “The decisions that I’ve had to make.”

Y/n reached out for her head and squeezed it, before giving her sister an encouraging smile. “Things will get cazier, and I’m here. I’ll always be by your side to help, and to be there for you. Always.”

Daenerys smiled gratefully and squeezed her hand back. “Thank you.”

“You're welcome.” Y/n nodded.

“I don’t know what I would do without you.” Daenerys knew that without Y/n she’d be lost, and that scared her to ever lose Y/n.

“You’ll never have to find out.” Y/n stated. The sisters never planned on being separated. Especially not by death.

The Song Of Ice And Fire fandom thrives on anti-progressist ideals, upholding arbitrary prejudices, dehumanisation of the disabled and weaponised misogyny.

The fandom would rather have openly sexist girls in power than a less 'ideally feminine' woman (Daenerys and Arya). The fandom would rather excuse blatant abuse than admit that Jon should be resentful of his childhood or that Catelyn's actions were abusive. The fandom will victim-blame SweetRobin for his upbringing and current poisoning, demonise Tyrion for his actions and then excuse his abled-bodied siblings for similar things and erase Bran all the time with no remorse.

EDIT:

The asks (@nobodysuspectsthebutterfly thank you!!) have informed me the episode “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” was named after the Dunk & Egg novellas. But because they named this prime Braime episode after the Braime fanfiction novels; it was largely received as the best episode of the final season (and one of the highest-rated of the series overall despite S8’s generally poor reception); and this new series, based on the novellas, releases after it—I’m choosing to believe the new series title is referencing both that episode title and the novellas.

Not gonna lie, hearing Kevin making tons of excuses to justify his viewing of Daenerys as a slaver/slave master when she was married to Drogo (you know, after she was SOLD to him and never freed by him either), was quite painful, cringe worthy even. You can clearly see that his vision of the character was only based on the tv series.

While we are not on the topic, female dragonriders with male dragons are underappreciated and not talked about enough. We have five throughout the world we have now. From the doom to Daenerys. The only ones who we have from Aegon’s Conquest to the main continuity are Dany, Aerea and Nettles. Jaehaera has a male dragon, but she never rides him and one Jaenara Belaerys who flew the dragon Terrax in Old Valyria. Other than that, female dragonriders have female dragons and are tied to the fertility of dragons. It's also notable that pregnancy is not typically afforded to female dragonriders with male dragons

Dany loses Rhogo, and Nettles is notably without a kid that we know of by the end of her story. Jaehaera is married to Aegon but dies before they have kids. Aerea dies before she is married. And we don't know much else about Jaenara Belaerys other than she flew further than anyone has in Sothoryos.

Another strange thing is that with Dany and Netty, the threat of a potential child from them instigated an active threat to their lives from the rulers of Westeros at the time.

What I'm saying is that I think Nettles might be the last Dragonrider and her death, not just Targaryens unable to hatch them after the dance, Rhaenyra’s death and or the Maester conspiracy by themselves lead to the death of a lot of the magic and Dany is the catalyst for its return. There's the blood magic tie in to their unique bonds with their dragons as well, but that can be a separate post.

All in all, it's just a fun little thing I've noticed.
