A Case of Ladybug Luck: Masterpost
Hello there everyone, and welcome to the waiting room of Hell! I cannot believe it's been an entire year since I started this AU and I never made this. But anyway, below you'll find a list of every chapter of A Case of Ladybug Luck, along with the fic's summary! Feel free to ask me about it, this AU is genuinely one of my favorites! It's really angsty, lots of good stuff here!
I will be updating this frequently with content from across this AU! Currently I have the main fic and the what-if fic, but more ideas are on the drawing board! You can find everything below the cut! I will be leaving the summary for ACOLL here, anyone interested is more than welcome to shoot me an ask! Please mind the tags and warnings for each chapter, and enjoy reading!
Summary: Marinette doesn't think she can keep living like this. She never told Alya her secret, and her life is in shambles. Adrien is the only one who has noticed and tried to help, but he isn't enough. Lila has them both trapped in a web of lies they can't escape from, and their friends are all taking her side, unwilling to listen to either of them. She's losing hope. At least...at least Chat Noir noticed. She still had her partner. But when an oppurtunity presents itself to Marinette, the perfect chance to get away from this hellish existence and start brand new, she takes it, leaving Paris to deal with the consequences of her actions...

“I can’t believe Tom Cruise of all people would stand up for his agent, a Muslim Libyan-American woman, who was being publicly blacklisted for her support of Palestine and calling out the ongoing genocide, including making a rare in-person appearance to CAA headquarters in LA to express his support for her. What a strange person who can ever guess what opinions he will have.”
Look. I’ve studied Tom Cruise a lot. One could even call me a Cruisologist. (Not to be confused with. Well.) And, it’s actually really easy to predict Tom Cruise’s opinion on something. The tricky part is whether it will be made public in a timely manner or not and, if it’s made public at all, will it be a lede buried in favor of pushing a narrative sold on background by a studio exec he pissed off because he didn’t roll over and take their bullshit.

I love it when women hate men. I love it when women are allowed to vent to each other about how horrible and creepy men are. I love it when women form friendships with and prioritize each other over relationships with men(whether they're attracted to them or not). I love it when women put men dni in their bios and on their nude photos and on posts on their blogs. I love it when women refuse to mollycoddle and accommodate entitled male feelings with "but this doesn't mean I hate all men, I know a few men who are great, I love my father/sons/brothers/uncles/male cousins/guy friends" I love it when women complain about men WITHOUT "not all men" being a disclaimer. I love it when women avoid socializing with/refuse to be around/befriend/get close to men because they know men can't be trusted. I love it when women make "kill all men" jokes. I love it when women offer absolutely no concern or care for men's feelings and if their misandry offends men whatsoever because why should we, men are the oppressor class who have raped and killed and abused us and kept us as subjugated as second-class citizens for millennia, they regularly mistreat us and the women in their own marginalized communities still every single day and make this world so much harder and more awful for us to be in, and if we choose to hate them and not spare them any sympathy then so be it, and I don't just mean "men as a class" either, you can be a woman who doesn't want to have anything to do with any man on an individual basis and completely cuts off men from her personal life too and ykw I will love and fucking support you in that because men deserve absolutely NOTHING from us. If they're so tough and strong then they can handle it just like they can handle being lonely. If you are a woman who hates men, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A LESBIAN AND/OR A TRANS WOMAN, then just know that I love you. I love you, I support you, and you are safe here.

Do the boys just never take off their cloaking charms? Between showering sports and just childhood shenanigans... how?
Yep! The long and short of it is that Splinter invested in the good shit. (How did he afford the good shit? Donnn't worry about it. Same way he was able to cut a deal with Big Mama...)
The Cloaking Crystals are specifically designed for long-term wear, the bracelets are small and minimal so as to not get in the way of day-to-day, and are enchanted so that they fit snugly and won't fall off by accident-- they have to be deliberately removed with intention. Splinter spent weeks teaching his sons how to wear bracelets without bothering them (even before he got the actual cloaking brooches) and drilling into them how important it was to never ever take them off.
After a while, the brothers just got used to having them on, and really didn't have any reason to ever take them off. I imagine that there was at least one occasion (when they were still young,) where one of the brothers (probably Leo...) started messing with his, but...
Dad didn't even get mad. He yelled a little, sure, and he stopped Leo right away, but... They could tell he wasn't angry. He was scared. They had never seen his face look like that before.
... They kind of decided after that that they really shouldn't ever take the bracelets off. Dad said it kept them safe, and it seemed like he meant it. Now that they're older, they mostly just chalk it up to it being some kind of superstitious thing on their Dad's part, but they remember how important it is to him, and that he told them not to, so... They just haven't.
Not yet, anyway.

Which Twst boy do you think would become obsessed with a sadistic mean reader? Like, a bully reader
Azul. orz it's kind of like a trauma bond for him or the comforts that come from something familiar. You make him feel so small and insignificant. You make him feel like the clumsy crybaby he was in his childhood, but he clings to that because you only ever look his way when you're being cruel. :( he just wants to be noticed and loved by you so badly, so at some point he disregards your cruelty altogether and deludes himself into thinking it's done out of love. >_< he falls back into bad habits all in an effort to appeal to you and be the only one you see. He feels so pathetic, but you're looking at him and so all of the suffering is worth it (it's not).
I also think Jade would love a reader like that because he's a sadistic eel who would absolutely love to go toe to toe with you in terms of wits and sadism. I think Jade (and Floyd) are impossible to bully because they're also bullies and so they know all of the classic bully tactics. Also,,, Jade gives as good as he gets. You don't stand a chance, but he's obsessed with you when you call him names or do mean, sadistic things. If he wanted to, he could get you to stop. But why would he when it's so fun and exciting? He's sighing dreamily like a maiden in love when you give him death threats. Even better if they're written out because then he can paste them to his wall and fall asleep reading them over and over. T_T he's crazy...
Part of me thinks Riddle might unintentionally end up liking you, but it's only because it's from an "I can fix you" perspective. You are so troublesome, and Riddle makes it his job to instill some manners into you. He's the easiest target for any bully because he gets worked up within seconds, but then Riddle also knows how to hold his own and stand up for himself. So it's always a ship that's tipping back and forth on turbulent waters.
Leona might like a reader like this. Maybe he finds your cutthroat confidence admirable. For an herbivore, you sure know how to make an impression, especially in a dorm where fights and tests of strength are so common. He commends you for your unfaltering ability to be so unflinching in the face of others. He's very impressed if you manage to send one of his dorm members away crying or tearing up, and maybe you didn't even lay a finger on them. Maybe your words were just so sharp... I think the obsession would stem from a place of admiration or recognition.
