Star Wars needed an Robert E.O. Speedwagon figure.

Like Dio Brando out here fake crying because he got caught tryna kill George Joestar. All like “my dad abused me😪I was poor😢 that’s why I set your dog on fire and tried to poison your daddy to death for inheritance money” and Speedwagon is like “bitch I’m a poor Victorian man too with a rough background and I ain’t doing this shit🙄you just born evil”

And there has never been a debate about if Dio’s upbringing meant his actions are justified or understandable because Speedwagon set the record clear. No one has ever said “oh well it’s Dario’s fault that Dio becomes a psychopath vampire”. No, that’s Dio being Dio. That’s Dio’s own choices

Star Wars’ debate on Anakin’s actions would have been shut down if some mf in Star Wars was like “no. Anakin, I also had a a fucked up life. You’re just a bad person”

Silly Game Time: Do you have any Comfort Characters? Ones where it just makes you happy to see or think about them?

And do you have any CONFRONT Characters? Those ones where you would fight them yourself if you could? (or at least really enjoy seeing or thinking about them finally getting some comeuppance?)

genuinely. Tiziano from jojo's bizzarre adventure part 5. The character in canon is just a minor villain who doesn't get any development but i have to fill in all the blanks with my own headcanons (i really need to finish that fic WIP) BUT the most known trait about em is that Tiziano and Squalo are in love, powercouple out to do murder type of thing. Like, it's difficult to find people who disagree with Squatizi (their ship name), and whenever some clown inevitably comes along with a claim that theyre totally striaght you guys do it's like "HISTORIANS WILL SAY THEY WERE ~VERY GOOD FREINDS~ WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE" And I just like the 'fandom stability' of them, i guess you could call it? Like, I've more recently gotten into a different ship called robovenom (characters Robo-ky and Venom), but the thing is that people who think venom is hot will ship him with people besides robo-ky and its like. obviously its not a problem, ship what you want. but there's a subtle annoyance to that, that I dont get with squatizi. I open the squalo tag and there's tiziano. I open the tiziano tag and there's squalo. I open the robo-ky tag and there's venom. I open the venom tag and it's the venom from spiderman. I open the venom guilty gear tag and WHY ARE YOU SHIPPING HIM WITH ZATO LITERALLY THE POINT OF HIS ARC IS TO LEAVE HIS ABUSER WHY ARE YOU ROMANTICIZING THE LOWEST POINT IN HIS LIFE-

uhh the first half kinda got away from me so. briefly. Not a big fan of Cioccolata and Secco from Jojo's pt 5, they were designed to the the stinkiest most evil mfrs to ever live and araki was very successful in making me hate them and then gutpunching me with Cio's last phonecall.

Also not a big fan of Zato but there's more nuance there. Shoutout to night of knives audio drama and to that guy on twitter who did the new translation that is being hosted on the gg wiki; I have never been more uncomfortable and forlorn while listening to two people literally just talking, every time i read through it i feel like i swallowed multiple rocks.

Also not a big fan of Shun Kazami from the legacy bakugan series. This is literally just personal beef from ~2009. I don't like how Shun was introduced in s2 and i did not have the context of s1 to show me why I should care. I now have the context of s1, but I still think his introduction in s2 was done poorly it's just bad writing okay

Long Jojo Theories Ramble

Okay so these thoughts have been rattling around in my head and I need to get them out so in this essay I will be discussing:

How I think the arrow works in regards to affecting the soul

How I think "requiem-ing" works

And how I think different stand users sense of self affects their stand abilities

My theories are kinda shaky and just my interpretation of material, however, if any of that interests you hit that read more

Okay so first the information we already know: Stands are a manifestation of the users soul.

So, if you are a normal person, with a normal, non-manifested soul, and you are struck by the arrow, you gain a stand.

But what is actually happening to your soul? Your soul is granted the ability to exist outside of your physical body and manipulate/interact with the physical world.

It also now has the ability to affect other people's souls, but only so far as they're connected to the physical body.

Meaning, when a stand attacks another stand, it wounds the users physical body, showing the connection between body and soul.

Even when stand users attack non-stand-users, the damage is usually done to the physical body.

The major exception to this would be D'arby from part 3 and his ability to put the soul into a puppet. However, I say this still counts because he can only put the soul into the puppet when you've accepted that you've lost, IE accepted that you are going to die and your soul becomes untethered from your physical body. Thus, there is still a physical body connection.

So this leads me into what "requiem-ing" is.

A stand becomes a requiem when the stand itself is hit by the arrow.

Since the arrow grants a person the ability to affect other stand users souls; I think when a stand is struck by the arrow, the stand gains the ability to manipulate any soul, regardless of the physical body.

And how their requiem form affects others souls is dependent on their initial ability.

So Silver Chariot's primary ability is its swordsmanship. When it becomes Chariot Requiem, it has the ability to "cut" the tie between the soul and the body so that the souls may move into other vessels.

Golden Experience has the ability to create life from inanimate objects. When it becomes Golden Experience Requiem, it has the ability to create entire alternate realities and move a person's soul through those realities.

Because of this, I don't think that Killer Queen becomes a Requiem when Kira is hit a second time, Bites the Dust seems to effect time and the physical bodies of the victims more than it does their soul. So a person being hit twice with the arrow would give them just more powers over physical reality, not more power over the soul.

This leads me to how I think a stand user's sense of self affects their stand.

First, I want to point out that there are sort of two "types" of stands.

Stands that are non-verbal, and pretty much only act when their user directs them to, or when they are copying the movements of their user. These stands seem like they are truly just an extension of the user.

And stands who are able to speak, and act on their own, as if they are a separate person.

My theory is that, the more self-assured and introspective you are, the less your stand acts on its own.

So for example, Jotaro is incredibly self assured at almost all times. He's not always right, but he always moves with 100% confidence. So, his stand follows suit.

Meanwhile, Koichi, who is very self conscious, unsure of himself, and nervous, has Echoes Act 3 straight up talk back to him and refuse his orders sometimes.

An odd example would be Mista, who seems very confident and assured of himself. However, I argue that a thought has never entered Mista's head even once. He's not necessarily "assured" in his actions because he just doesn't think about them. So Sex Pistols, who each have their own personalities, wants, and needs, are representative of his fleeting and chaotic thoughts that just jump into his head at any moment. (ADHD king)

The last examples I'll give are of the two requiem stands.

Polnareff has this sort of fake bravado on the outside, but he lacks real confidence and has to attach himself to other people at all times in order to feel a sense of self. (First Sherry, then Dio, then the SDC)

So when his stand gets requiem-ed, Chariot basically goes on a rampage completely out of Pol's control.

Meanwhile Giorno "I will become the head of the Mafia" Giovanna, seems to continue to have control over GE Requiem and uses it to defeat Diavolo very promptly and effectively.

Have you ever search a character so you can watch fanart and read headcanons but actually all the headcanons you can find are like "[character's name] and how they have sex" or "[character's name]×reader"?

And you are kinda "why, they are such an interesting character, I would really love to know what people think their day-to-day life would be".

Yeah, I'm talking about Doppio.

He's so interesting and we know so little about him! there are so much think you can speculate about.

Maybe I just haven't search enough? I scrolled for at least two hours in the character's tag but this is not the first time I can find only sexual(/something romanting implied) things about a character.
