anyone wanna hear me rant abt miraculous ladybug. yes? good
please dont get me wrong. i really like the concept of this show. im a huge sucker for animal themed superheroes and magical girls. the powers for the heros and some of the villains really interest me, and i even like some of the designs (some of the later heros like rooster bold) but i also really hate this show. the shipping is really frustrating, especially when you do not care about half of the characters that the show is trying to make you want to ship. im not even gonna TALK about the shipping square with adrien chat noir marinette and ladybug bc that thing is so infuriating. especially when i dont like marinette and think ladybug and chat noirs relationship is kinda weird. anyway. im not talking about it. im not talking about it. marinette is personally just one of those characters i dont like- she gets better the farther you get into the series but shes just so high energy all the time that it exhausts me to watch her scramble around for too long. chloe is more entertaining and i like her more despite her being racist (shown mostly in kung food if i remember right). adrien is ok. if he got more screen time i think i wouldve liked him more but for some reason hes treated like a side character. im not basing this off of any real numbers but CHLOE, a minor antagonist, gets more or less the same screen time he does. and so much of his screen time is just him transforming. im also not counting chat noir as part of his screen time. theyre different. alya is fine but for some reason she cant tell her best friend is a stalker. nino is actually one of my favorites hes like marinette but a lot more chill and doesnt stalk his classmates. rose and juleka are gay. ivan and mylene are there. max is good if you need someone to say a lot of words. i really like alix shes cool and actually acknowledges how weird it is that marinette knows adries whole schedule. nathaniel is also a character i really like i cant really explain why. kim is there but hes annoying sometimes. also the wiki says his last name according to the wiki is lê chiến which is way too close to “the dog” in french for it to not be funny to me. sabrina is a lap dog. maybe her last name should be la chien. lila is FINE but why are the lies she tells so big. whats the point. luka. this bitch annoys the FUCK out of me i hate the way he is. we get it you play guitar. marc is nice i feel like he would write really good fanfic on ao3. zoe does not exist in my mind. hawkmoth is kind of annoying and makes too many puns. try a stealth mission with someone who doesnt have ulterior motives PLEASE that would be so cool. mayura is a queen i love mayura. she does look like a grape tho. im rotating felix around in my brain rn i cannot figure out how i feel about this guy. hes fine i like the parent swap bullshit he always pulls. as for the heroes. god. why are they the way they are? ladybug i like more than marinette but only barely. its weird how the ladybug and cat miraculous are presented as a duo but you really only need the ladybug to save the day. they point this out at some point but its still really weird to me. the cat miraculous does have better outfits though since the ladybug outfits are just. uh. red spotted spandex. it would be cool if the ladybug miraculous got nerfed and instead it got little wings to go with the outfit that could spring them up in the air. and maybe a visor. and maybe antennae. and- ok im done there. chat noir is fine hes weird abt ladybug but that becomes something you expect in this show. i LOVE queen bee. shes so dramatic i love her. fuck vesperia all my homies hate vesperia it would have been so much better if chloe got to keep the miraculous like SOMEONE did after her identity was revealed. cough cough RENA ROUGE cough cough. rena rouge is fine but why is her outfit exactly the same as lila when she was akumatized- each outfit is based off the miraculous user’s personal preference (SUPPOSEDLY). carapace is pretty good- anansi is actually a really solid episode despite nora being nothing like anansi in the mythos, i think the writers just wanted a cool name. carapace/nino are actually really similar so im not surprised that alya figured it out so fast. for some reason the fox and turtle miraculous dont do anything to the users personalities but the ladybug and cat make major changes. for some reason. maybe its power levels? were never told why. i dont think ill talk about any of the other heroes because there are SO MANY OF THEM. i like rooster bold though his design is just really cool to me. this show actually has a lot of structuring issues for me- the concept of this show would be helped so much if it wasnt episodic and everything wasnt reset every episode. having running arcs would make it so much more interesting- i love the monster of the week format but it would be cool if characters could retain memories from week to week. uhhhhhh what else can i talk about. ships? i like marc and nathaniel- i like both characters and i think they would be happy together instead of nate crushing on marinette “i am in love with adrien” dupain-cheng. can we talk abt how dupain means “of bread” (or close to that i havent taken french in a while) these last names are really odd. the akumatization process is fun i guess but the designs. oh the designs. they hurt my eyes sometimes. i do like silencer though despite hating luka. i think im done now? i cant think of much else to complain about besides the animation of the hair making it look so flat. im done.

Chap 1   Chap 2 - Here
Ao3 Link
“I,” Chat took a deep trembling breath as a small sad smile formed on his face. “Okay,” he grasped Ladybug’s hand on his cheek and held it tight. “Okay.”
She smiled softly and took his hands in hers, leading him to follow her across the rooftops.
The buildings around them became familiar as they leaped from rooftop to rooftop, and he'd be lying if he said his heart wasn't going a mile a minute in anticipation. His breath got caught in his throat as she landed on a particular balcony lit up in soft golden light. He landed behind her as she stood faced away from him, fiddling with her hands.
Chat felt his chest swell and he put a hand over his mouth, glancing around at the familiar balcony. There’s no way, no way...
"Tikki," she said with a small voice, cutting through the silence, "detransform me."
He glanced up at her to see her suit fade away in red and white sparkles, revealing a simple pink t-shirt and sweatpants. Marinette turned slowly, looking down at the floor. Tikki hovered next to her head and glanced between them with a huge grin on her face. She waved at Chat and flew behind them into some plants.
Chat couldn't breathe. But it was a different kind of speechless than his sadness, this time, he had a million things he wanted to say, but no words reached his mouth.
"Surprise?" She laughed awkwardly and looked up at him from underneath her lashes, then, she was taken aback by his expression.
He was grinning ear to ear, holding back tears, trying to take in a deep breath.
Worry covered her face and her hands flew up to reach out to him. "Chaton, are you-" she started, but was cut off by his bear hug.
"It's you," he breathed, holding her tight in his arms, freely sobbing again, but with tears of joy. "It's always been you."
She wrapped her arms around him instantly and laughed into his hair, holding him tight. "It's me," she sighed.
His heart swelled as he took her in, of course, it was her, of course, it was always her, who else could it have been? The two most treasured people in his life, the two he'd tried to sort out his feelings over, for almost a year, it was her, Marinette, Ladybug. The one who had carried him and held him in his lowest and the one who had jeered with him and laughed with him at his highest. The one who had snorted over stupid jokes and had cackled at bad movies with him. The one who tripped and dumped paint on both of them and helped him study for a history test. It was her.
Chat pulled back to hold her face and gaze into her eyes, smiling like a little kid. He shook his head in disbelief and laughed breathlessly, rubbing away stray tears. Was any of this real? How was he this lucky, there was no way he was this lucky. Was he?
Marinette slipped her arms up and around his neck, standing up on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek lightly. He gasped, staring at her as she chuckled to herself. "Your face is so pink," she giggled, poking his nose.
"I- you-" he sputtered. How dare she look so cute while teasing him. Adrien tried to think of something to say in response but he only gaped at her as she continued to giggle at him. He settled on sighing heavily and smiling at her.
"Are you feeling better?" She asked, brushing his bangs back with a light hand.
"Yes, definitely," he sighed and rested his forehead against hers. A million times better.
"That's good," she said softly, closing her eyes. They swayed together, holding each other and just breathing.
"Marinette," he whispered. She opened her eyes and looked up at him. "Should I, um, y'know," he reached for the words.
"Detransform?" She offered.
"Yes, that," He sighed.
"If you want to, though it's probably best if you do, I'm not sure what my parents would say if I told them I was dating Chat Noir." She cringed, looking away nervously.
"Da-dating?" He stumbled. Oh, his face was very very warm.
Her cheeks turned rosy as she looked away from him. "W-well yeah, I, I mean. If- if you're cool with it, y'know, I, I wouldn't, y'know," she glanced back at him and let her head fall on his chest in exasperation. "You know what I mean," she groaned.
"I do?" He asked, glancing down at her.
"I can hear your stupid smile you dumb tomcat," she replied. Chat laughed and lifted up her chin to see the very intimidating pout on her face.
"I know," he whispered, smiling at her. Chat closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Are you ready, cause I'm not sure I'm ready."
"I'm ready," she giggled, cupping his cheek again.
"Okay. Plagg, detransform me." The first thing he felt was the cool breeze of the night air cover him. Then, he heard a distinct gasp, and the absence of warmth as Marinette let go of him and took a step back. Adrien opened his eyes slowly, to see Marinette standing in front of him, hands cupped over her mouth, eyes wider than the moon staring at him wordlessly. "Marinette?" He asked, feeling his stomach plummet. Oh no. This was not a good sign. The worried smile fell from his face as he stared at her. "Are you-"
Adrien fell backward into the railing of the balcony with the force of her hug. "Adrien!?" She cried. Burying her head into his neck. He blinked for a second and wrapped his arms around her as she pulled back, cupping his cheeks and staring into his eyes. "I, oh my God, I am going to fucking kick your dad's ass."
Adrien blinked and then promptly burst into laughter, doubling over and trying to catch his breath.
"Don't laugh at me! I'm going to do it!" She cried as angry as a puppy could get.
He stared up at her and wiped tears from his eyes. "I'm sure you will," he laughed and shook his head. Marinette pouted at him and then started laughing along with him. Adrien reached up and curled a lock of hair over her ear. She sighed and rested her chin on his chest, making a funny face at him.
“I’ll leave you two be,” Plagg jutted in, making a fake vomiting sound before Tikki dragged him away with a quiet scolding.
The two of them giggled at the sight and watched the kwamis go before turning back to each other.
"I can't believe it's you," she said.
"Can't believe I'm a superhero and a fashion model?" He joked, raising his eyebrows.
"That I can believe, your face is too handsome for your own good," she snarked, squishing his blushing cheeks.
"You think my face is handsome?" He tried not to sound as surprised as he did.
"You kidding? Your face is like, completely symmetrical, you've got big, pretty eyes, and a tiny, cute nose, and these baby cheeks," she laughed at his increasing redness. "Maybe you're more cute than handsome," she mused, squishing his cheeks again.
"I'll take what I can get," he laughed. Adrien hadn't felt this good in a while. Just to stand here, with her in his arms, laughing at each other, he felt like he was on cloud nine. If his cheeks weren't already sore from the sobbing they were now sore from smiling.
“I really can’t believe it,” She sighed breathlessly. “The two boys I love the most in the world turn out to be the same person?” She shook her head and laughed lightly. Adrien, however, was frozen in place.
“Love?” He whispered. What was- was she, was she serious?
She smiled even wider. “Yeah,” Marinette sighed. “I fell in love with you that day you gave me your umbrella.” He remembered that day. That day something blossomed in his chest that he tried to ignore for the longest while. “And then again, sometime later. I can’t put a date to it cause it was slow, but, your silly, cute, cat-face found its way into my heart somehow. No matter how much I tried to deny it.” She shook her head and smiled. “Maybe Chat noir was always there.” Marinette laughed softly, and in the glow of the night, he knew she couldn’t look more wonderful.
“You know when I fell for you, right?” He started softly, cupping her cheek in his hand. “That day you saved Paris and a million different times after that.” She rolled her eyes fondly. “I knew, I know I love you, but I never seemed to know why this shy girl in my class always caught my eye.” Her eyes grew wide and her mouth clamped shut. “I guess I know now,” he laughed. Marinette’s face was very red and she was doing a poor job of hiding it.
“You’re so stupid,” she groaned and rested her head back on his chest.
“But you looove me,” he beamed at her and choked back laughter. But even through the joke, his heart soared.
“I do,” she whined and looked up at him, trying to hold back a smile. Adrien brushed her bangs aside and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. She squeaked, which made him burst into laughter.
“Shut up!” She cried, laughing herself and hitting his arm playfully. He only laughed harder, doubling over and stumbling back onto the lawn chair behind him. Marinette folded her arms and pouted at him.
He stared up at her, grinning like an idiot. “You’re cute.”
“You’re cuter!” She whined, throwing her arms up in the air. Adrien burst out laughing again, hugging his sides. Marinette laughed with him, collapsing into the chair beside him. He took a deep breath and sighed, looking at her fondly. And she made a funny face that melted into a mirrored smile. He grasped her hands in his, pulling them up to his lips and kissing her knuckles.
“I think you’re the cutest.” Adrien grinned at her again.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes. “I think you’re wrong, but I won’t fight you in something I know I’ll win.” Marinette closed her eyes and put a hand to her chest.
“Oh, confident are we?” Adrien raised his brows at her.
“Yes, very.” Marinette hooked their arms together and rested her head on his shoulder with a thump.
Adrien brushed a lock of her hair back and the whole world seemed to melt away around them. He didn’t think he’d forget what happened earlier today, maybe he never would, but with her in his arms, he felt like he would be okay, somehow. And that was good.
"Should we go inside?" Marinette asked, shifting her head to look at him.
"Uuh," She knocked him out of his thoughts. How long had he just been staring at her? "Oh, yeah, you gotta tell your parents..." he trailed off. A small prickle started in his gut. What if they-
"I know what you're thinking, Adrien," she frowned. "They may be opposed to you sleeping in my room, but they won't turn you away. If anything, they would probably force me to sleep in the guest bedroom since my mattress is more comfortable." She closed her eyes and put a hand to her heart.
He tried to ignore the notion of sleeping in her room as best he could. "Are you sure?" He asked in a small voice. Adrien knew Marinette's parents, but he saw how Tom could get when his daughter's feelings were in tow.
"Absolutely, they'll love you, if they haven’t fallen for you already," she giggled, poking his nose again. "Come on, they'll be weirded out if you come out to my bedroom, so you can come through the front door with me." Marinette pulled him up and toward the opposite end of the balcony to a ladder reaching down the side of the building.
"Has that always been here?" Adrien asked, watching her take the first climb down.
"Yeah, I mean, it would be suspicious if Ladybug always left the same building, right?" She slid down the rest of the way and gestured for him to follow. He'd admit he'd never thought about that. Adrien followed her around to the front door of the house and into the dimly lit foyer.
"Maman? Papa?" Marinette called into the bakery. He heard some shuffling and music coming from inside.
"Marinette?" It was Sabine's voice. Even with Marinette's reassurances, the pit in his stomach only grew. He felt like crawling into a dark hole."Dear, what are you doing coming in through the front?" He heard a light set of footsteps as Marinette’s mother made her way to the door.
"I, um," Marinette looked at him and back through to the bakery. Sabine walked in folding a towel in her hands and stopped dead when she saw him.
"Adrien?" She looked at him, even though she was confused he couldn't sense any malice in her tone. "Marinette, what are you two doing here?"
"I, I have to talk to you and Papa. It's," Marinette glanced at him again, strength in her eyes, and grabbed his hand in hers. "It's important."
Sabine blinked for a moment and then nodded. "Oh, okay, well, we've got to finish up some things in the store, but go upstairs and make yourself at home, I'll go tell Tom." She smiled at them and gestured that they go upstairs.
"Thanks, Maman!" Marinette called as she pulled him up the steps.
"Tha- thank you, Mrs. Cheng!" Adrien stuttered and followed her up.
She smiled and waved at them until they reached the front door out of sight.
Marinette took a deep breath and opened the door, glancing back. "That wasn't so hard, was it?" She ushered Adrien into the house and closed the door behind them. "Okay, do you want anything to drink?"
"Huh?" Adrien turned to her as she opened the fridge.
"We have maybe 10 minutes to get our stories straight so they aren't suspicious. I was thinking that we go with, we both snuck out, ran into each other, talked about it, and then essentially the same thing happened where I invited you over." She explained this while wrestling with the lid to a carton of orange juice. "Or," she snapped it open with a pop and poured it into a glass, "we could do something else if you have another idea." She turned back to him and pulled out another cup from the cabinet.
Adrien stood and watched her, not really moving from where he'd stood when they walked in. He felt, out of place.
"Want anything?" She asked again.
"I, um…" he blinked at her. Trying to get his head to think straight.
"We have tea, cocoa, orange juice," she pointed to the carton behind her, "milk, some other Chinese fruit juice thing my mom got," as she explained she pulled out a green bottle with Mandarin on it. "This tastes good, I forget what the fruit is called, but it's really sweet." Marinette smiled at him.
Adrien, well, Adrien was completely dumbfounded. Dumbfounded by normalcy with which she treated him, the ease with which she spoke, and just, well, her. Her, standing in her kitchen with a t-shirt and sweatpants, asking him if he wanted to drink a glass of juice. "I, I can try the Aloe juice." He recognized the characters on the bottle.
"Okay, here," she poured the cup and handed it to him. "It's got some health benefits or something, I'm not too sure." She put both juices back in the fridge and bumped the door closed with her hip.
"Thanks," Adrien said in a small voice, taking a sip of the drink. It was sweet.
Marinette drank the orange juice and walked over to the couch, pulling him by the hand to sit across from her. "Okay," she started, placing the cup down. "So, do you think we should go with my idea, or do you have one," she asked.
"I, I think it's fine. I'm just worried that your parents will be mad if you snuck out." He stared at his reflection in the cup of green juice.
"Oh Adrien," she reached out rested a hand on his arm, making him look up at her. "Don't worry about that, they'll probably take my phone away for the next week but it's nothing I can't handle. What's important is that we keep our identities safe. And that you're here and happy." She gave him another soft smile. Adrien put this hand over hers and smiled back.
Some footsteps came from the stairs. Marinette jumped up and glanced between him and the door. "We'll go with my plan for the sake of time, alright?"
Adrien blinked and nodded, then grabbed her hand before she left for the door. "Good luck." He squeezed her hand reassuringly. She smiled and squeezed it back, then left to the door. Adrien watched on as Marinette explained animatedly, but in a hushed voice, what had happened. He glanced back at his hands to avoid eye contact whenever either of her parents would glance over at him. Their faces turned from confused, to horrified to the same angry determination that Adrien had seen on Marinette’s face earlier that night. At least he knew it ran in the family.
“Of course,” he heard Sabine say. “Adrien,” she called for him.
Adrien looked up from his hands and stood on wobbly knees. “Y-yes, Mrs. Cheng?” The pit in his stomach felt like a raging storm. He wanted to run.
“Please, dear, call me Sabine,” she laughed and waved him over to their circle. Marinette gave him a reassuring grin. “So, Marinette explained to us the gist of what happened,”
“We don’t have to talk about it if you’re uncomfortable,” Tom assured, putting a large hand on his shoulder.
“And we would be more than happy to let you stay with us.” Sabine rubbed his arm gently. Her smile was filled with such warmth. And suddenly, all the tension in his gut was washed away. It evaporated almost as quickly as this new feeling replaced it. Warmth.
“For as long as you are comfortable, or feel like.” Tom nodded. Even though Adrien couldn’t see the man’s mouth behind the mustache, he could tell he was smiling. Adrien felt his throat tighten. He tried to swallow it down.
“Of course, we would probably have to get in touch with, what was the lady’s name?” She turned to Marinette.
“Nathalie,” Marinette replied. She glanced between him and Sabine, fiddling with her hands.
“Right, but, feel free to stay here, as we said. We can focus on all of that stuff tomorrow.” Sabine waved her hand over her shoulder. “Does that sound good, Adrien?” she asked.
“I-” Adrien started, getting the words caught in his throat. He choked out a breathe. “Sorry,” he mumbled trying to get a handle of himself. But, it seemed all his willpower for holding it in was gone, so he just cried into his hands.
Sabine glanced quickly to her husband and back to Adrien. “Dear, don’t be sorry,” Sabine rubbed circles into his back. “Come here,” She opened her arms to him and gave him a tender smile. Adrien stumbled into the hug slowly as she patted his back. And even with her small size, she engulfed him in the hug.
“I’m, I’m sorry,” he mumbled through tears. What was he sorry for? For everything? His body shuddered in a hiccup. It was surprising that he was able to cry at all after the tears he’d shed earlier.
“It’s okay, son, you’re okay,” Tom said and bear-hugged the both of them, giving them a gentle squeeze. Adrien felt himself melt.
After a moment, Adrien felt one of the arms around him leave his shoulder. He rubbed the tears from his eyes to see Tom beckoning to Marinette, who was standing, holding a hand to her mouth, smiling and wiping stray tears from her eyes as well. She ran up to them and wrapped her arms around Adrien, holding him close. He held her with desperate hands, sobbing into her shoulder again. Waves of emotion came over him, and he felt so free to just cry, and so he did. He just let it all out. The pain in his chest was there, but for a different reason than before. Instead of hate, and sadness, it was warm. And full of, well, full of love.
“Tha-thank you,” He cried. “Thank you.”
---
Bonus:
The only light in the room came from the moon through the window and the screen of his phone. 12:29 AM. How was he going to get through the night? Adrien’s body felt exhausted, but he couldn’t fall asleep. Maybe he was afraid of this being all a dream and getting thrown right back where he started. No, that’s a stupid thought. Adrien turned his phone off and placed it on the bedside table. He sighed and rolled over to see Plagg, snoring away on his pillow. He wasn’t alone. Especially now.
Adrien pulled the shirt he was wearing over his nose and smelled the fruity-bakery sent he’d come to know as Marinette’s brand of shampoo, which was mixed into his hair, and the sent of the bakery, which lay underneath him. The t-shirt was something that Tom bought, accidentally shrunk in the wash, and gave to Marinette, who used it as a sleepshirt occasionally.
He closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep. It wasn’t quieter or noisier than his own room, but it still was very different. Adrien couldn’t even imagine being in his own bed.
He was barely asleep when he heard light footsteps creak down and around the living room. Adrien turned over to see if he could see who it was through the opened door. A head with messy hair peeked through. His eyes widened. Marinette put a finger to her lips and came to sit next to the bed wordlessly. Her hair stuck up in a funny way, but the moonlight reflected off her face perfectly. She smiled at him silently and put out her hand, resting it on the blanket in front of him. He took it slowly and held it, her fingers where warm. Marinette gave it a squeeze and then turned to look out the window.
It was a small, silent moment, but it assured him, that he was truly home.

Answer the prime numbered questions for the writers' ask meme!
Bold of you to assume I remember enough from math class in high school to know which numbers are prime EDIT: THERE ARE A LOT MORE PRIME NUMBERS THAN I THOUGHT THERE WERE (yes I had to google it I am not a Designated Math Gay)
1. Tell us about your WIP!
I’m currently posting Here We Go Again, which is the sequel to There From The Start where Blaine is the 12th member of the OG New Directions in season one! It’s actually a fic I didn’t realize would end up being so close to my heart but like I finished it the other day and big oof I was a sad girl.
2. Where is your favorite place to write?
Since covid? My room lol
3. What is your favorite/least favorite part about writing?
My favorite part is coming up with the emotional scenes which usually just come to me in the form of dialogue! I’m a total slut for drama or the result of emotional buildup
My LEAST fave part is like... coming up with a story that makes fucking *sense* around those bits lmaooooooo
5. Top five formative books?
(I’m gonna include fic in this)
All the other ghosts
LITTLE NUMBERS CHANGED MY LIFE OKAY
The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series
Perfect Chemistry which was just this trashy romance/drama novel (or maybe it wasn’t that trashy and I’ve been conditioned to think romance novels are trashy bc they focus on women) that got passed around in eighth grade and DEFINITELY started my addiction to love stories
Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. I think this is one of my favorite books of all time. It’s so fucking beautiful and heartbreaking and I think I need to give it a re read tbh
7. Favorite/most inspirational book?
Oof this is so fucking hard. I’m not gonna say change of heart just bc I already used that one, so... Sing You Home also by Jodi Picoult just... fucks me right up man. And it’s gay. AND ITS GAY WITH A HAPPY ENDING. AND ITS NOT FIC CAN U BELIEVE?
11. What are you planning to work on next?
I’m kind of nervous about my next project actually, because it’s not a type of story I’ve ever tackled before and idek how to summarize it without making it seem like it’s about something it’s not??? Idek I know I’m not making sense lmaooooo
Basically, it’s Kurt and Blaine adjusting to life after being reunited after 7 years. I actually finished the first chapter today! It’s going to be called Amidst the Chaos :) I’m very excited but also kind of nervous bc I also don’t have all of it entirely fleshed out but we’ll see what happens!
13. Describe your writing process
Bro. I have no process.
Jk, recently, I’ve been going to my room, turning off my lights, and turning on my instrumental music playlist (Schubert, my dude, you got me through the last few chapters of HWGA) other than that... I guess I make a rough outline and then sort of figure things out as I go???
17. What things (scenes/topics/character types) are you most comfortable writing?
Scenes: I love awkward/uncomfortable/funny situations. They are my CRACK
Topics: characters discussing their family and friends
Character: I could be wrong but I feel like I’m pretty good at writing Finn?
19. How do you cope with writer’s block?
Take a break. Go for a walk. Read something new. Read something old of mine that I liked. Work on one shots that I forgot about like they’re a pallet cleanser. Go back and try to write and nothing comes to me AGAIN. Force my self to take a break for REAL this time. Wash, rinse, repeat.
23. Most anticipated upcoming books?
I don’t think I read enough books anymore to answer this, but some of my friends are working on things that I am very VERY excited to read! (Yes Brit and Adri this is about y’all)
29. Is writing more of a hobby or do you write with the intention of getting published?
100% a hobby. Cheaper than therapy!
37. Do you ever write long handed or do you prefer to type everything?
Sometimes I do write on pen and paper! I feel like your brain works differently when that happens. Some of my best things have come from writing on pen and paper, I think.
41. Are there any books you feel have shaped you as a writer?
This is gonna sound stupid, but I think the Captain Underpants series had a huge impact on me... HEAR ME OUT: I love comedy, I love to laugh, I love to make other people laugh, and those books were some of the first books that had me CACKLING as a child and I was like “OH WORM?” So I make sure to keep most of my stories light with humor!
43. How do you deal with rejection?
Usually I just bitch about it in private with my friends 😂😂 but I like to think I take *constructive* criticism pretty well!
47. Single or dual/multi POV?
I think it really depends on the story, but overall dual/multi. It’s something I still struggle with on some scenes because I’m like I WANT EVERYBODY TO KNOW THIS CHARACTERS EXACT REACTION AND THOUGHTS but like it just ain’t their time to shine 😔
53. What is the first line of your WIP?
AIGHT AIGHT AIGHT
This is from the next chapter of Here We Go Again:
“He hit her in the face?” Kurt’s voice rang from the other end of the line.
This is from my not yet posted WIP, Amidst the Chaos:
Table five—sriracha sauce, he thinks to himself.
And this one is from one I may or may not tackle (but if I do it’s gonna be called Cruel Summer bc I’m s slut for t swizzle):

The Boy Next Door Chapter 3
It had been a few days since the unfortunate event, at least according to Lousine. It haunted his every moment, assuming that Adri was grossed out or thought he was a huge pervert for doing that in front of a window. He could barely keep up their casual texting as even on Adri’s end, it seemed tense with something. But for all Lousine’s worry and nerves, Adri was of a different thought all together.
Adri could barely focus on anything for eventually the images of what he saw took up his mind. And it always caused him to curse his clothing choice despite it being cute on him. Even now relaxing in his bed, phone dropped to his side after answering a text from Lousine, he was gently rubbing the front of his leggings as he gazed at the window. Good god why am I so horny, I’ve seen plenty of naked dudes. But the answer was obvious even to him. This dude was close, way closer to the ones he browsed on tumblr or online. And so, with a bitten lip and double check that the door was locked, he slowly peeled down his pants as his mind pictured for the uncountable time in the past few days.
At the same time as all this Lousine was right outside Adri’s house, a common occurrence to everyone since the family in. But what was so odd this time was the fact that he was just standing there at the door. Reluctant to knock on the door, tapping the railings and glancing back at the road as if thinking of escaping some invisible cage of his own making. With the glance back he noticed the lack of cars, letting him know a parent wouldn’t open the door. And so, with a deep breath he knocked hard enough for Adri to hear in his room in the back.
Adri nearly choked on the soft moans he was letting out as he hear the banging on the door. Are you fucking serious? Right now someone shows up? He sighed loudly and long before jumping out of bed and sliding his leggings back up, willing and silently begging for his raging erection to go down. He took his time walking to the front door, knowing none of his younger siblings would even attempt to check it with him home. As he passed one of their rooms he checked in on them, being sure to hide his lower half behind the door. Looking into the door way his younger brother was texting away on his phone, glancing up at Adri. “Better hurry up, Adri. I bet your boyfriends out there.” Adri just flipped him off with an eye roll, “Shut up.” He could only pray it wasn’t him, right now at least. Finally calm enough to be presentable he quickly went to the door and opened the heavy wooden door first. And nearly bite his tongue as he spotted the boy of his daydreams leaning on the metal rails on the porch.
Lousine nearly thought Adri was sleeping in or something with how long he took. Or just didn’t plan to open the door if he knew it was him. He wouldn’t blame him. But when the door cracked open behind the glass one he couldn’t help the smile. He had missed his friend despite everything. But it was a short smile as he remembered their last encounter and got nervous again. So, with a short two fingered wave he invited Adri outside. Adri seemed hesitant to do so but nodded and stepped out past the glass door, making sure to shut the inside one behind him so his nosy siblings’ wont but in.
Sigh. Why does he have to look good even when rolling out of bed. Lousine cursed inside his head, taking in some of the flattened curls on his head and wrinkled shirt. And even worse he was wearing a crop top which showed off his natural tanned skin. Huffing out a breath before his eyes went even lower he gave Adri another quick smile. “So uh hey. I wanted to uh… apologize. For the other night. You know. With the window… I know I sent a lot of text but I wanted to do it in person. Apologize that is. Not… Yup.” The blush that creeped into his cheeks could’ve set things on fire and the stutter in his voice was very apparent.
If he wasn’t so nervous and not at all himself, Adri might’ve laughed at the situation. Here was the guy of his wet dreams currently, apologizing for one of the most exciting things he’d seen in person. But he bit his tongue and did his best to keep the images out of his head, even harder now that the focus of them was right in front of him again. “Lou calm down its alright, it’s not like I haven’t seen a dick before”, Adri rolled his eyes trying to play it off as casual for his friend. It seemed to work a bit, the blush in Lousine’s cheeks turning down a notch. Much to Adri’s shame, the blush was cute on him.
Lousine rubbed his chin and beard before combing through his hair, a nervous behavior instinct through and through. Trying to calm down his burning cheeks with sheer force of will he nearly laughed at Adri’s comment. “Yea well its not everyday you see your friends…” he nervously chuckled as he glanced at Adri, who was finally at eye level with him sitting on the rail. Wanting to make things less confronting and more to their casual level he moved to walk down the steps to their usual spot, that being anywhere on the grass in the yard. Adri followed close behind and sitting beside him when Lou sprawled out.
“True its not every day you don’t see your friends, but good to know you’re not the neighborhood pervert”, Adri teased with a smirk as he noticed his playful method was helping defuse the obvious tension in his friend. And it was working great, teasing and taunting was apart of their usual. “I am not… the neighborhood pervert okay. If its anyone, its you! Who just peeks on their neighbor’s windows?”, Lou scoffed as he plucked some grass and flicked it at him, finally calm again and glad that things weren’t weird. “Oh I’m the pervert for happening to glance outside my own window and you’re in yours, showing off to the world?” Adri snickered and brushed away the grass before jabbing Lou in the leg.
“In my defense, I didn’t expect to have an audience. And it just… slipped my mind that my blinds weren’t down.”
“Oh really? You just… didn’t see the blinds not down? God your really do need those glasses. Besides the audience didn’t mind.”
Adri froze as he realized what he let slip out, immediately staring at the ground to let his curls cover up his face.
Lousine did his best not to react but he couldn’t stop the slightly jerk of his hand against the ground in surprise. Did he just… He liked it? His thoughts and more whirled in his mind, the implications of this making him instantly question whether he wanted him to like watching him. He decided to keep things playful instead of letting the awkward silence continue. “The audience didn’t mind it? Hmm…” he taunted as he reached over and tugged on his curls.
Adri just made a soft hmph noise at the hair tugging before peeking out behind his hair to see Lou’s smirk before hiding again. He was mortified at letting that slip, cursing his loose tongue and hormones.
“I see how it is, don’t gotta say anything.” Lou shrugs before turns to lay his head onto Adri’s thighs, using them as a pillow while also smirking right up at him. Adri near jumped at the sudden physical contact and the smug face of his daydreams in his lap. Instead he was trapped under his stupid handsome head and the truth he let slip out.
“The only thing I have to say is that you’re an idiot” Adri tried, he really did. But he couldn’t hide his face with him in his lap and couldn’t run now without writing in stone what was obvious to them both now. “Well I suppose this idiot might have to put on another show then? 9pm perhaps? My window?” Lou just grinned as he leisurely stretched out a bit further into his lap, much to Adri’s horror. The realization of his words and his closeness was becoming too much. His carefully hidden hormonal organ tucked between his legs was slowly making its self-known, and with Lou’s head resting in the dip in his thighs it would be painfully obvious.
“I uh… I’m afraid it would be an empty show…” Adri gulped as he tried to calm down, distracting himself with playing with the ends of Lou’s hair, twisting and braiding it loosely. Lou simply relaxed under the touch while continuing this little game just to see how far Adri was willing to go. And how deep the new sexual tension between really was.
“Really? Well, the first one was so impromptu, and I still get a viewer. Didn’t I, Adri?”
“That was purely accidental, and you know it!”
“I dunno man, that timing was rather perfect if I didn’t know any better. You could’ve peaked before without me knowing!”
“That is just unbelievable” Adri rolled his eyes again trying to ignore his bluster but couldn’t ignore the new feeling that started as he began rubbing into Lou’s scalp. Apparently it felt good because he started rubbing his head into Adri’s thighs. A reflexive move but one that felt good to both parties. Perhaps too good for one.
Lousine just simply laughed and kept moving his head back and forth, both to guide his fingers and tease his him. Adri just huffed softly and kept rubbing into his scalp, desperately but quietly trying to will the growing heat between his legs to calm down. But things just don’t work out that way.
“Lou….” Adri mumered quietly. “Yea?” was his only response. “I-I…. I need you to move.” Lousine opened an eye and gasp dramatically, lifting a hand up to lay a land on his thigh and squeeze “But so comfy.”
Adri whimpered softly as he gripped his flesh in a very possessive manner before steeling his breath. “Well unless you want your own show within inches of your cheek, you need to move.”
Lou blinked and fully opened both eyes as he gazed up at the pensive face of his neighbor, his eyes looking everywhere but at him. As he realized what he said he could feel the sudden heat and stiffness shift under his head, and he understood just how much he affected him. And he decided to throw caution to the wind.
With very deliberate and slow movements he moved his head back into the stiffness he felt in slow motion, gazing up at Adri with a curious expression. He wanted to see how Adri would react to his advances, everything pointed to a positive reaction but just to be sure.
Adri simply couldn’t look at him for fear of revealing how much he wanted this. The only thing that he let go was to bite his lip and keep running his nails over Lou’s scalp.
Lou decided to take it a step further and sit up slightly to replace his head with his hand, Adri moving his legs further apart to let him get a better feel. Their faces were inches apart but still Adri wouldn’t look at him, so Lou reached up with his free hand and gently push his curls away to brush his lips against his cheek.
“Ya know Adri… This show seems very… audience led,” he chuckled softly as he moved his hand firmer against his now tented leggings. “Yea… well… hmph” Adri whimpered as he finally turned his head at the feeling of the chaste kiss, gazing back at Lou with heated eyes, “I uh… Its my first show.”
“Really? I couldn’t tell..” Lou whispers softly as he moves his hand to his waistband…
The honking horn of Adri’s parents returning home jerked them both out of the trance they were in. They weren’t turned facing the driveway, so nothing was seen but both of them still jerked apart like they were guilty. Adri leapt to his feet and rushed to the car, the fright making any sign of arousal disappear in moments. He waved to his parents, gesturing toward Lou in his talk that Lousine couldn’t hear.
Adri waved him over, “Hey, mom and dad said you can help with the groceries since you spend so much time on their lawn.” He spoke casually but his eyes were still nerve racked.
Lousine just smiled naturally before getting up to help them, waving hello as well before heading to the trunk to help. The chatter of Spanish between the returning family didn’t make sense to him so he just started grabbing the first things he could and started walking them inside.
______________________________________________________________________________
Adri fell back into his bed with a long sigh, the days events and then trying to pay attention during dinner had his head swirling. Just thinking about what happened merely an hour ago in the yard had his temperature rising. And of course, his dad had to invite the friendly neighbor over for dinner, every glance between more heated than the sun.
The high ringing of his phone going off made him frown from interrupting his thoughts but he glanced at the screen anyway. It was from Lou of course.
-Hey, aren’t you coming to my show?-
Adri’s heart nearly beat out of his chest. He was joking right? He slowly stood up and looked at his blind covered window. Then at the time on his phone. 9pm exactly. He couldn’t be serious right?
But with shaking fingers he peaked through his blinds, across the lawn and then the street to the opposing window. Lights on and everything clearly visible inside. And Lou, leaning against the window seal with his towel still on but a obvious tent in the front.
Another text came through. -You made it! I wonder if the audience will participate this time?-
Adri took a deep breath and a nervous smile before responding. -Maybe.-
From the movement across the street, it looked like Lousine laughed before he threw something behind him, his phone, before he very slowly dropped his towel from his waist. Adri only saw this once before, but it was still familiar from him replaying it in his head. As Lou began running his hand around his crotch and against his thighs, his length bobbing in the sensation, Adri made sure his lamp was on. Then pulled up the blinds and began sliding his leggings down.

Chapter 11.5: The Kit Goes on a Date!
«Gabe»
My fingers fly across the keyboard as I work on a paper for my English class. Why do things have to be so simple now? I remember when I use to struggle writing papers, now it’s just a breeze. I pause, lean back in my desk chair and try to grab my water bottle off my dresser. Putting my foot here and making the chair tip to just enough of an angle I'll be able to grab my water bottle, not a problem. I take my hair band out that’s holding my blonde hair back and then push it back once more so it’s sitting tighter on my head. Placing my foot on the edge of the desk I lean the seat onto its back legs and reach for the water bottle.
“You really sure it’s going to work this time?” Warin my red fox questions me. I can feel his eyes on the back of my head.
“It’s going to, I placed my water bottle in the perfect position for this to work,” I answer paying him no other mind.
“THERE’S A MATCH!” My younger brother yells as my door slams open.
“Woah,” my jumping from the sudden loud noise causes me to push a bit too hard on the desk and me and the chair go crashing to the floor. My head slams down on my arm and my feet are in the air. It’s like he fucking knew this was going to happen…bastard.
“Dude, you okay?” I look up to see Kane, Yori’s roommate poking his head into my single of a room.
“I’m fine just miscalculated the possibility of you two charging into the room and making my jump to throw off my balance is all,” I groan as I continue laying there on the floor. I roll onto my back and look up at the two of them, “So, what is there a match about?” I sigh.
“We signed you up for a local dating app and you got a hit!” Yori exclaimed showing me his phone.
I sit up and look at it. The app seems simple enough. Just a basic profile and then people in the area who are also looking for a possible suitable match do the same. The profile bubble on it was a side view of me working on my computer. I don’t remember Yori taking that picture of me. “Why did you sign me up for something like this?”
“Because you need to get out there more and live a little!” Kane spoke up first. I get out plenty because of a certain someone who finds enjoyment in kicking me in the side, who just so happens to be in a cute fox form and laying on my bed, thank you.
“What if I don’t want to?” I raise an eyebrow.
“You’re not getting out of this. The dates already set up for Red Robin at six,” Yori states.
“So, you have time to get ready! And we’ll be driving you so you don’t flake out.” I open my mouth to speak but Kane keeps going, “Don’t even think about locking us out, I’ll break in.” Considering that the locks here are child’s play anyone can break into these rooms if they have the proper kit to do so.
“Don’t’ you dare break down my door,” I hiss at him.
“Good, then we’re on the same page! Finish that paper of yours and then get ready!” Kane gave me a thumbs up.
“We’ll be back at five to drag you out of the room!” Yori waved at me happily and then the two of them left closing the door behind them. Leaving me laying on the floor in a silent room.
“Kane feels like a bad influence for Yori,” I sigh rolling off my chair and standing up.
"He doesn't seem bad, just a bit wild," Warin speaks up once again and I look at him after picking up my chair, "It's not a bad thing that they signed you up for this dating app thing. You do need to get out more. I also need you to practice more with your abilities, you've barely touched them since I upgraded you a few weeks ago."
I give him a deadpan face as I stand there with my hands on my chair, "I have five hours to get ready for this date. If I do anything what are Kane and Yori going to take it as?"
“Do something simple, I want to see if you can hold things for a longer period of time. It doesn’t have to be a huge change like changing your height, maybe try holding a hair color change and one of your eyes. It would be good practice.” He does have a point. If I change my eye color that’s normally under my bangs no one would notice unless I move my bangs. Plus, if it’s just my hair then I can tell Yori and Kane that I felt like getting temporary dye. “Or, we can train for the next three hours and then you can rush getting ready.”
I take a step over towards my dresser and grab my water bottle, “I’ll take a break for today, I don’t feel like getting kicking in my side right now,” I answer before taking a drink. “I’ll finish my paper then work on getting ready.” I close my water bottle and then sit back down at my desk, placing my water bottle next to me.
“You’re no fun,” Wairn pouts from the bed, "How do you expect to stay ahead of LumenDove?" I look over at him and then back down at my laptop and being typing once again.
“By training obviously, but everyone needs a day off. Plus, Yori’s busy with Kane today so I can’t train with him. I’d much rather kill two birds with one stone and help my little brother get stronger at the same time. I want him to be able to protect himself while he’s in his hero’s form.” It really didn’t take me long to figure out that Yori was TerraJade, by how he acted and responded to certain situations. Putting two and two together was child’s play really. I’m still not sure who LumenDove is or the other new kid is. If I somehow meet them when they’re not in their hero forms would I be able to tell who they are?
Time flies by and I finish my paper but decide I'll go back and edit later. Messing around with my hair color I end up going with black because it stands out the most. Then to make Warin happy I change my right eye to an ice blue, but with my bangs, I'm keeping it hidden. Then it was off to the showers and getting dressed in a pair of black cargo pants and a white t-shirt with a blue short sleeved button up shirt that I only buttoned up the center two buttons.
As I thought I got the panic from Yori about my hair and I had to keep telling him it was only temporary and that I would be able to wash it out in one to two washes. Kane commented that I look even paler with black hair than I did with my blonde hair. But after their nit picking the three of us go down to Kane's truck and he drives us to Red Robin.
“This isn’t a good idea, I don’t know if she’s going to come,” I comment as I stand outside the restaurant with Kane and my little brother. This is nerve wrecking. I don’t know. I just wanna go home.
“No Gabe, you’re not backing out. I want you away from the computer screen and to get out more. Sitting around isn’t going to help either of us,” My little brother comments pointing a finger at me. Of course, it’s not going to help me get over our family dog passing away, but it gives me something else to think about.
“Yeah, that’s why we’ll be here as a secret double date for you!”  Kane comments confidently as he puts and arm around Yori’s shoulders.
“I told you, it’s not a date because we’re splitting the bill,” Yori sighs look over at Kane through the corner of his eye. Even I can tell that Kane is trying his hardest to get Yori to like him. Maybe if they did date it would get Kane to level out a bit.
"What's the girl's name again?" Kane questioned and then his eyes broke away from me. I follow his gaze to see a man with long light brown hair and a section of it shaved on the right side with deep red eyes walks up towards the door of Red Robin with a shorter man with red hair and pale blue eyes. "Hey Adrian!" They stop and look at the three of us when they hear which ever one’s name is Adrian is called out.
The red head looks up at the burnet and the burnet holds the door open above the red head and opens his mouth to speak, “Um, Kane, right?” So, the burnet is Adrian. He seems like someone who would be in a band so something. “Sup dude?” The two of them dress completely different. The red head has got to be at least bisexual based on his short shorts and crop top he’s wearing. But I could also be wrong and he could actually be a she.
"Not much! Just waiting for Gabe's date! Who's the redhead with you?" Kane questioned. Does the Adrian guy not have something that’s ripped? If this is a date between the two of them wouldn’t it be best to place your best foot forward and wear something decent?
The redhead goes to say something before Adrian places a hand on top of their head, "His name is cupcake, he’s my cupcake, don’t touch he’s very fragile.” So, I was correct, he is in fact a he. So that helps…
The redhead laughs, “My name’s Valentine, call me Val.” That voice sounds familiar somehow. I look over at Yori who doesn’t seem to be paying any mind at all. He probably didn’t notice. But I feel like I’ve heard that voice before.
“Kane, nice to meet ya,” Kane greets the two of them
“Yori,” My little brother answers
“Gabe,” I nod at them as I pull out my phone to check the time.
“So, who exactly are you waiting for?” Adrian asks.
"I'm sorry I'm late," Pulling my eyes away from my phone I see a girl with long black hair and neon green streaks pulled up into twin pigtails run towards us. She's wearing a simple deep red shirt that hangs off her right shoulder and short shorts along with shin-high black boots. She’s so short and cute. I wonder how tall she is, she’s gotta be at least over five foot I’m assuming. Not by much though. I slip my phone back in my pocket.
“Joce,” Adri greets happily.
She comes to a stop and puts her hands on her knees, “I’m so sorry, I was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted to wear.” Based off this first meeting that wasn’t something that I was expecting. Unless she was nervous about this date as well.
"I-It's okay, really, it wasn't that long," I answer waving my hands in front of myself trying to make her release the tension that’s surrounding her.
“And with that, it’s our time to scoot,” Kane comments and pushes Yori towards the door and around us to go inside leaving me alone with Adrian, Val, and my date, Joce for the evening.
“So, this is the date,” I look over towards Adrian to see him smirking a bit. Clearly, he knows her, but how? Were they childhood friends? Have they dated?
She stood up and glared at him and took a few steps towards the two of them putting her finger in Adrian’s face, “I swear if you’re the one that’s making me do this I’m going to rip your dick off.” That’s a bit harsh isn’t it?
“Joce, Jocey, love of my life, I did not set you up on this. I was just watching,” Adrian comments clearly nervous. If the two of them are dating of have dated, then why would he be calling her ‘love of my life?’ Maybe I should go with the ladder option and say they are friends somewhere along the way.
“So, you were set up to do this too?” I comment making her turn back towards me.
“Yeah, one of my friends did it,” She rubbed her arm the slightest of pink spreading across her cheeks. That’s so cute!  “If you don’t want to be on this date I can completely understand I made you wait.” Why wouldn’t I want to go on this date? I’ve already been drug out here and to know that she was forced to do this too makes it a bit easier. Maybe I can offer to help her figure out who set her up for this.
I shook my head and smile softly at her, “No, you seem like an interesting girl, I would love to have dinner with you.”
Her light blush turns just a shade darker as she breaks eye contact with me and plays with her hair, “Now come along cupcake, we have burgers and fries to eat,” I look away from her to see Adrian and Val go into the restaurant.
I hold the crook of my arm out to her with a smile, “Shall we head in ourselves?” I ask and she takes my arm. Her skin is so smooth. She loosely holds onto my arm and we walk over to the door. I grab it and hold it open for her so she walks in first. It’s not too long after that we’re seated.
What am I doing? I don't know the first thing to talk about with her. Having more intelligence doesn't fucking helping me in this situation. I don't know the first thing about what girls are interested in. I'll just apologize now for if I'm really awkward. "I'm just going to apologize in advance if I say something stupid or make an awkward silence between us. This is my first time I've ever been on a date, so I'm not too sure what to do exactly."
She stares at me and then smiles, “What are you apologizing for? You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“OH, well um…i-it’s just in case,” I brush my bangs that are hanging in front of my eye away from my face for just a moment before it falls back in my face.
“Sweet thing, it’s okay,” She laughed and wrapped her arm around mine and then we were taken to our table.
“My name is Laila I’ll be your server today, can I start you off with any drinks or do you need a minute?” The girl that came up to our table right after we were seated has a smile on her face.
“I’ll just have a water please,” I smile a little at her.
“Same, just a water as well, thank you,” Joce nods to the girl.
“Alright, I’ll be right back with your drinks,” Laila turns on her heels and heads off to get our drinks.
"So…what's your favorite hobby? And I'm so sorry again. I'm normally sitting in front of a computer screen and not being social, so the only real type of interactions I know other than with my little brother and his roommate is from what I see in anime's." I feel my face heat up and I slap my hands on my face, "Oh god, I'm rambling I'm so sorry,"
"It's okay. I sing and dance a lot as a hobby, I also cook," I peek through my fingers so see her smirking, "Oh, by the way, I'm half Japanese.” I pull my hands away from my face and look at her shocked, “So these Japanese cartoons you call anime, I know them quite well, “She giggled and stuck out her tongue at me, “Also,” She points at her hair, “Most of the time my hair is inspired by anime characters, or it’s just one of those I feel like Insert color here kinda day.”
"That's really cool," I mutter and smile a bit, "I've never been willing enough to do anything more drastic than what I've already done with my hair."
“You have a nice hair style, it seems to fit you,” She smiles at me.
“Thanks, but all else I’ve done to it is dye it black like it is now,” I said playing with the ends of my hair, “My parents weren’t too thrilled with that.”
“What’s your original hair color?” She asks.
“It’s blonde, like my little brothers.” I answer.
“I would love to see what you look like with blonde hair sometimes," She comments making my face heat up once more.
“Thanks, so, what’s your natural hair color then? If you don’t mind me asking that is,” I question
Laila came back with our drinks and set them down in front of us, “Have you two decided what you would like to eat?”
“Oh yes, could I get the Keep It Simple burger please?” Joce asked with a small smile.
“May I get the chicken Caesar wrap please?” I ask.
Laila nods and smiles "Can do!" With that, she walks away.
“It’s black,” She answers simply, “And I don’t mind you asking at all, "Also, I would love to see your natural hair sometime. With how dark you went, I don't know how well it's going to come back."
“I hope it’ll be alright. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed my hair, but I wanted a change is all. Originally, I wanted to go with red, but I changed my mind and decided to go with black instead,” I answer looking down, “I know that there’s a lot of risks with dying your hair and how much it damages it,”
“It’s just one of those you want a change,” I look back up at her and she’s smiling. She shrugs lightly, “I totally get it.” She leans her elbows on the table and tips her head looking at me, “What’s your major?”
"It's Computer Science, I'm also double majoring in Business. I'm more so into Coding," I lean back and cough, "I like hacking into things. How about yourself?” I ask as if I didn’t say the last part.
Her eyes widened for just a moment as she seemed to be thinking about something. What could she be thinking about? Did I say something wrong? Should I ask her? No, I can’t do that. It would be rude. I barely know her. “I’m an interior design major with a minor in culinary,” She answers. Holy shit she can cook! That’s amazing, maybe I should ask her to teach me some time considering I burn popcorn. “You seem to be a person with a very active mind with how you look like your analyzing what I just told you for an answer.” She points out to me.
I can’t help but laugh and rub the back of my head, “I was? I’m so sorry, I’ve always been like that. I’ve just gotten a lot worse about it since freshmen year.”
“Why’s that?” She tips her head.
Because of a damn fox that finds enjoyment in kicking me in my side and forcing me to transform when he wants me to. “I guess it’s because I became really focused on my studies, with it being computer science and all.” Not that I don’t mind having a higher intelligence and faster processing of situations. I love it, I can get homework done so much faster, especially after being upgraded to level two at the beginning of this year. The shapeshifting thing is still strange to me though. But it has come in handy considering this isn’t actually hair dye in my hair.
“You’re a sophomore too! That makes me feel a bit better,” She sighs in relief and leans back in her seat.
“What do you mean?” I question raising a brow at her.
“I thought you were either going to be older or younger in grade year than I am. But you look younger than I originally thought you did so I was a bit nervous,” So, does she like people older or younger than her?
“Fair enough, if you were thinking that there’s maybe a chance of this developing further it makes sense wanting to know the year of the person, because if one of us was older in school years than the other then there’s the possibility of there being a chance of there being a long-distance relationship that takes place other than just over the long breaks," I cross my arms and accidentally examine the situation out loud. I look up from the stop of the table that I was staring at to see her staring at me and blinking. I feel my face heat up and I instantly unfold my arms and look down at my lap, "Sorry, I didn't mean to do that."
She starts giggling and I look back up at her with my non-covered eye. She’s so pretty when she laughs. “No, no, don’t apologize. I just think it’s really cool that you were able to process that so quickly," She leaned on the table propping herself up on her elbows, "But, sometimes over-thinking things can be a bad thing."
“I know, it’s a bad habit of mine,” I sigh and hang my head.
“Na, it’s not a bad habit at all.” I look back up at her and she’s smiling. But her body posture is telling me that there’s a big something she’s not telling me. Do I ask her about what her hidden message means? There’s a ninety percent chance that she won’t answer and change the subject considering this is our first interaction with each other. Wait no, this isn’t our first interaction. She’s in my statistic’s class. She sit’s two rows behind me and to my left.
“So, that Adrian guy?” I start and look up, locking eye with her once more.
“Oh no, don’t worry about him. He’s just my band mate and the leader of our band,” Joce waves her hand at me.
“I’m assuming he’s homosexual correct?” I tip my head a bit to the right exposing my right eye to her.
“Wow, you hit the nail right on the head. How did you figure that out?” She questioned and out of the corner of my eye I see Laila coming with our food.
“Here’s your food, I’m so sorry for the wait,” Laila came up to us with a tray that has our food on it.
“Thank you,” Joce says to the girl as her burger is set down in front of her.
“Thanks,” I nod as my wrap is set in front of me.
“If you need anything else just let me know!” Laila smiles at us then hurries off back towards the kitchen.
I pick up at half of my wrap and take a bite out of it, “How long does dye stay in your hair anyways?” I question after swallowing.
She holds up a finger to me because her mouth is stuffed full of burger. After swallowing and taking a drink she answers me, “It all depends on what dye you used. Was it a temporary dye?” I blink at her confused with my Wrap shoved in my mouth. This made her laugh, “Do you still have the box?” I shake my head a little to answer her as I take another bite, “Hmmmm…then we’ll just have to scrub your hair and see if it starts to face in the first couple of washes.” Shit, how do I make my hair fade like it has hair dye in it? “But, considering you said you, normal hair color is blonde, even a temporary color that simply stains the hair can last as long as the permeant hair color. It all depends on how your hair takes to it.” She explains to me.
I swallow my bite and feel my face heat up, “O-Okay,” I can’t stop myself from stuttering.
We continue to talk as we eat. I learn about how long she's known her band mates and what role she plays in the band. She tells me to come to one of their shows that are coming up soon.
“I had a lot of fun,” Joce laughs as we walk out of Red Robin together.
“Same here. It was a lot of fun talking to you,” I smile and walk with her to her car. When I look over to find Kane’s truck where he parked it, it’s no longer there.
Those fuckers left without me. Some brother, “I-I’m sorry to ask but, do you I could catch a ride with you? My little brother and his roommate drove me here because they thought if I drove myself I wouldn’t come.” I ask nervously as we stop at her car.
“Yeah, sure, I don’t mind,” She giggled a little and unlocked her car. I waited for her to get in and then I got in myself.
I sit down in the car and I have to pull my set in, "Is there any way I can push the seat back?" I ask with a light laugh.
“Oh yeah, the bar is right under the seat, sorry about that,” She answered and I reached between my legs and found the bar. I pushed the seat all the way back. My legs were still bent but not as bad. Pulling the buckle over my shoulder Joce started going. “How tall are you anyways?”
“I’m 6’2”, I know I’m a tall person,” I answer fiddling with my fingers.
“Holy fuck you are tall,” She laughed, “At least I wasn’t too far off for how tall you were in my head. So, is there anywhere you want to go before heading back to the school?”
I don’t want to stop talking to her yet… “Do you want to go to the park? I’ll give you gas money. It looks really pretty there at night and I know a really good spot that looks stunning.”
“I don’t see why not. I don’t feel like going back home and staring at my homework anyways,” She laughed and then takes a right at the stop sign that we were sitting at to head towards the park. She parks in one of the small parking lots that litter around the park and we both get out. It’s nice to stretch my legs.
“Sorry about my car being so small,” She apologizes.
“Oh, no don’t apologize. It’s just me being tall is all,” I smile letting my arms drop back down to my sides, “I’ll have to take you out on my bike sometime as another thank you for driving.”
“What kind of bike? Bicycle, motorbike, motorcycle?” She questioned as we began walking side by side.
“Motorcycle, I was allowed to get my license when I graduated high school,” I answer pulling out my wallet and showing her my license. I went and got it last weekend.”
“YES!” She screams and I jump a bit, “I would love to go on a ride!” She exclaimed.
“Okay, then next time we’re both free then we’ll take my bike. I did bring a spare helmet with me I think. I’ll have to double check,” I mutter crossing my arms over my chest. I look down at Joce. She and all of her short self-are practically skipping along next to me in joy.
“I wanna go with you if you have to go get the spare helmet,” She comments as we come up to a bridge and she walks up onto the railing.
"But that's beside, the point of me getting the spare helmet," I blink at her.
“I have a bike helmet it’ll be fine,” She waved my concern.
“If you don’t mind me asking, how tall are you exactly?” She smiles and holds a peace sign out to me.
“I’m 5’3” like a boss!” she answers confidently.
“Do you like your height?” That was a weird question. It’s not like I can do anything about it. I can about mine, but still…
"My brothers who are taller than me harass me about how I have to climb on chairs and what not, but there are some perks," She shrugs and loses her balance a bit. I stick out my hand and grab a hold of hers pulling her back and helping her balance once more before we continue and she hops off the railing as we get to the end of the bridge.
“You can fit in small spaces tall people can’t and you can get up and move a bit faster than tall people as well,” I said taking a left down another trail. We move away from the lights and I pull out my small flashlight that I always carry on me. "May I hold your hand? I don't want to lose you." I hold out my hand to her and wait for her response.
“Don’t wanna lose me cuz I’m short as fuck and I can disappear on a whim?” She questions.
I shake my head rapidly, “Nononononononono, that’s not what I mean. I just mean that the path get’s small and difficult to navigate so I don’t want to pull ahead of you on accident,” I feel my face heat up and she laughs. She takes my hand and then pulls my arm into her and hugs my arm into her body.
“Alright, let’s go!” She presses my arm a bit more against her chest and my heart starts to pound.
“R-right,” I nod and start to walk with her holding my arm. “So tell me more about yourself.”
“Not too much to tell really, I have older brothers, I go to college, and I’m in a band. Pretty simple life if you ask me,” She answers as I move a branch out of the way for us to walk past, “What about yourself?”
“Have a little brother, and go to college. I’m not a part of any sports or clubs really. I’m not a very big social person. I’m kinda boring. But if you ever need someone to hack into some lights for a show I can do that not a problem.” I mention.
She just starts laughing at me, “And I took you as more so the good boy type.”
Honestly, I don’t even know why I was chosen to be a hero with that particular trait of mine. "Well, I guess I'm just full of surprises," I laugh sheepishly. I see the reflection of the moon on the water and I move the last branch out of the way, "Here we are." It's a quiet little pond that's surrounded by woods. "Other's probably know about this place, but every time I come I'm here for hours and no one ever shows up," I comment as I look out at the calm water of the pond. The moon and stars reflecting off the water on this clear, warm night.
Joce's expression was of amazement. Her grip on my arm slacks ever so slightly. The reflection of the moon is bouncing off the water and giving her smooth skin a soft glow. She looks so beautiful in this light. I thought she was cute when she came running up to us earlier, but now she looks like a goddess that’s just seen something new for the first time.
“It’s beautiful,” She finally whispers.
“Remind me to bring you here during the day then so you can learn the path. It’s a nice place to think. I think it is anyways. It also gets me away from a computer screen,” I smile down at her.
“I think I can do that,” She looks up at me and smiles once again.
We stand there a bit longer before heading back the way we came and back to the car. The two of us head back to the university and I tell her where my dorm is. “I had a lot of fun and thank you so much for driving me back.” I pull out my wallet and hand her a twenty, “Take it for gas money.”
“No, keep that for the next date,” She pushes my hand back into my chest. And I feel my face heat up. Does she want a second date? “Come here really quick I’ve gotta tell you something.”
I lean down and she wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me down further into a hug. I tense up for a moment and then wrap my arms around her for a hug. Once I do so she lessens her grip. I start pulling my arms away from her when she touches her lips to mine. I freeze in place. It was just for a moment, but I can still feel her lips on mine as she pulls away. “Kay, I’ll talk to you later. I had a lot of fun Gabe,” She steps back and waves before quickly running back to her car and hoping in. I stand there blinking and processing what happened when she honks her horn and drives off. There’s a small sound of a poof and my black hair is instantly back to blonde.
“You still can’t hold a transformation,” I jump and put my arms up in a defensive position when I hear Warin’s voice in my ear. I look at him and I can just see the smirk on his lips even with half his face covered with his face mask thing he wears.
“What are you doing out looking like that?” I hiss at him and he laughs and places a hand on my head and messes up my hair.
“Oh, my little kit you have so much to learn. Now, I’m hungry make me something,” He flops all his weight on my side and I almost fall over.
"H-Hey, you have handed you should make it yourself," I comment.
He poofs and there's now a Fox on my shoulders, "You were saying?"
I sigh heavily, “Just wait for me upstairs, you know if the RA is actually at the help desk I’m going to get in huge trouble.”
“Roger!” He says excited and then poofs once more disappearing off my shoulders.
I look down the road where Joce is long gone and I blush, I hope she’s not joking about a second date. I would like that.  I turn on my heels as I pull out my keys and head to the door of the dorm to go up and feed Warin dinner.

Those rings around Adri’s neck are actually his broken halo :)
Tumblr media
(that’s right baby return of the halo from his first design but now its significantly edgier and sharper. Also these drawings are fairly old now but still hold up)
Tumblr media
Adri’s nanites are actually 10x bigger than the standard nanite size which makes them be able to fucking curbstomp any other nanites that try to pull bullshit, but it also makes him significantly heftier (hence the 15 tons of steel post from the other day)
Tumblr media
 -  Adri has a good few failsafes to getting caught/interacting with hostile people and one of them is to hold a conversation with them long enough for nanites of his to get into the other people’s lungs and then if the situation doesnt defuse he will tear them asunder from inside. He probably does this even in regular conversations too as a precation bc he is an ambient hazard and also a bastard
- Talas is actually able to fully communicate just through bioluminescence! Him and his fellow glowy bitches have a whole language going on for communicating under the water and without sound (which is more easily deciphered)
Tumblr media
For dragons!
- Cercerion’s beam attack makeover was inspired by this specific video (because it looks like that now)
- Alex, from my comic, is honest to god able to eat metal and does so fairly regularly. It probably wont come up in the comic itself unfortunately but like, he can just DO that
- Octane’s heart is basically a biological stellerator, so he’s fueled by plasma/thermonuclear fusion
Tumblr media
Midas is also a huge flirt when he Kills, and even tends to call people pet names like Sweetheart, Honey, and the like when he’s hunting them down
As an extra fun fact, whenever he’s out chasing someone and needs to store the knife somewhere to use his hands, he just stabs himself in the chest with it. Designated knife storage until its needed
Tumblr media
For Midas again, I actually yoinked him from a dream and I’ve mentioned this, but what I haven’t mentioned is that the dream involved him being the slasher villain in a videogame. And the game itself was SUPER unfair, so pretty much every letsplayer would ragequit because theyd get cornered unfairly by bad colliders, and midas would just walk up to them, let them barely get away, and then fucking BOLT to them like he hadnt done for the whole game and bonk them in the head with the machete. So when I woke up and remembered i 100% based his personality on that bit of bastard behavior :]
Tumblr media
Nereus is actually INCREDIBLY smart! They’re able to calculate ,store, and parse complex routes, maps, etc with a ton of info about the environment (like water temperature, composition, pollution, even seasons and the like)
So pretty much all their research is very heavily documented and they are fully aware of all of the science surrounding it. They just appear silly because they were never meant to communicate outwardly, so they do what they can with what theyve learned and pulling from their own code :]
Tumblr media
No worries, it’s Nereus! And as for the fact: It’s depth rating is absolutely ludicrous, around twice the depth of challenger deep ( -10,971m under sea level, here on earth) so it can pretty much go to the bottom of any conceivable ocean without breaking a sweat!
Tumblr media
I said they were solar powered, but I didnt say where the panels were: theyre Nereus’ whole underbelly. When they need to recharge they just float on the surface belly up like a cat in a sunbeam
It’s like this because their big head frill and their tail act as a keel and keeps them upright in that position over the waves, and it also makes it easier to get power back from hydrothermal vents by curling up over the hot ground. And also it looks cute as fuck
