Hi this is where I talk a bunch about ocs :D

I dont have a lot of time lately to talk abt lore but i still think abt my guys whenever i have some chill time to myself, so here's some patch notes. This is also just me thinking out loud haha

CD:

ive been playing w some changes for CD and seeing if they stick :] gonna make the story slightly more complex and the sides of the conflict also different (for example I am going to make hades and talas full on enemies at first along with connon, caval and silas >:3 (and I am also making silas and his monster form two separate characters so the lion (hal) is now a mount instead))

Specifically what I've been thinking about is making Hades either a ship captain or a first mate for a rogue ship. The deal with Hades is that he comes from a renowned family from Redbridge and is a disgrace to them. In previous versions of CD they were artisans but that never rly clicked for me, and recently I have been reworking Redbridge into a naval empire to add some 🤏spice 🤏to the world, which would mean Hades' family is actually a naval captain family putting him next in line to be one of them but since his thing is being a disgrace he takes off and becomes a rogue. And instead of hating leviathans he fucking hates hunters instead. Conversely, I think with these changes Talas would also NOT be inclined to kill hunters (or at least not as often as he currently does). He'd pick fights with the naval fleet and other similar factions instead which is more like his character.

I also wanna try and bring back an older concept I had where connon's ship was able to both become fully submerged (like the subs in sunless sea where her character originated from) and this other idea I had where a ship could split in half into two smaller ships. Like if a catamaran could split into two and flank a vessel on both sides. But we'll see if I can make this work x)

Dragons (broken horizon + extinction):

I vaguely mentioned this a while ago as well but I've also been thinking abt my dragons and how I kinda want them to all be in one world/setting, which includes both my broken horizon guys (cer, jarek, octane, etc) and my extinction guys (alex, c, orion, etc) but I dont know how to deal with all of the conflicting lore and themes.

Because for extinction the big theme is there are people who can turn into dragons, and technically all of the dragons' powers are based on energy (for lore reasons). Meanwhile for my other dragons I have a few different elements or other ways of using fire (eg instead of using straight up fire/energy, my oc Jarek can breathe out gas only and ignites it with his mandibles).

I miss all my dragons a lot so I kinda wanted to make a world for them where I could have them Vibe and do different stories in so I thought about having a dragon-only universe but unfortunately Extinction has a pretty huge human element that I cant just eliminate.

It feels counterintuitive, i know the first logical choice is 'just let them be different things' but I genuinely feel like the right choice is to put them both together so the characters can interact and the whole story can be deeper because as it is both are really shallow and I would really like for them to work together so that's what I've been picking at for some months now (it's um. been real slow)

For these two stories I do have two different vibes though that I've been wondering how to weave together nicely bc they overlap for some characters. For broken horizon I had flying and aerial racing as a big theme (and some of the chars in extinction would be rly into that) and for extinction I had dragon arena fights as a big theme (and some of the characters in bh would be rly into that) both of these is another of the reasons why I wanted to put them both together bc it feels like they can fit very well I just have to find the right idea for them to click and then itll be smooth sailing -w-

I also wanted to talk abt this in hopes that talking abt all the dragons gets me to think more about them as well

I wanted to make this post bc I've been really busy lately and rly absent from here in general and I don't have as much time to draw (or even think abt ocs) anymore but I still wanted to keep posted about what's been going on in my head and hopefully get some eyes on it and maybe even some feedback if anyone is so inclined

sad oc ramble (it's sad)

jab has heavy body dysmorphia. he genuinely thinks he's hideous and is ashamed of his non-human features, and puts excessive energy into hiding what he can of them; like, shaving all his body hair because it grows out blue/purple, dyeing his eyebrows, etc. it's honestly exhausts him.

when my story starts he's never had a boyfriend or any experience sexually, and i realized there is a reason for this. even the thought of being naked around someone else makes his anxiety spike, and if he actually found himself in such a situation he would probably shut down completely.

this fear took root in middle school, in the locker rooms before PE, where the other boys would bully him relentlessly. like, it got quite bad, to the point he was exempt from PE. he might even have had to change schools, but i'm not certain yet.

anyway, because of this dating has always seemed impossible to him. so when he discovers that jeremy is asexual it's so perfect for both of them, because neither of them have any expectations of sex from each other, and they can take it completely at their own pace.

Oh boy. He's a bit of a firecracker and not very PG. He's in fact, kind of mean. As for the kissing, you and Ray both, though I think Icarus will shake you down for all your cash before you start getting any affection. As for drawing, yeah! I'm always grateful for any drawings and honestly treasure each one I get!

I don't see the harm in saying it as it is. He's a prostitute and escort. Man is raking in the big bucks working under Stags INC. The only reason Ray and him are friends is because Icarus has a lot of intel on the people manning the cartels. While Ray initially got his cooperation by bargaining to sweep his drug use under the carpet, he found Ray is a fun guy and not too sleazy to be around. Plus he's fun to tease, which is Icarus' favorite thing.

He's a Stav'raw, as opposed to Ray who is an Auveri. Unlike Ray he cannot fly. He has dense bones and his wings are only good for a glide. Which, he doesn't preen them. He was never taught so he is absolutely matted with feathers he hasn't thought to pull out. He's actually much more vibrant but because he's so fucking crusty with feathers from his whole existence you can't really tell. Additionally the sclera of his eyes is black. Along with his mouth and lips. He also gave himself a split tongue.

He comes from a very neglectful household with a mother who was a first generation Earthian and a non-existent father. He found his profession as a way out of that bad situation. Though Icarus' dream job is being able to help kids someday. He wants to be a pediatrician for alien children, believing that if one adult had noticed the abuse happening to him he could have been helped.

While Icarus doesn't think he'll make it because of his job history, Ray encourages him. Also reassures him that there are other ways he can help people. While Icarus is bummed he's only just starting to get into the 9 years of schooling at 28, he remains hopeful.

His hobbies consist of video games, nursing classes, clubbing, taking his dogs for walks along the beach, and riding his motorcycles around.

Another fun fact is that this man is absolutely the best of friends with Rays older brother Rowan. Though he has no clue the two are related because they look nothing alike and it's just never comes up. It will be chaos when all three of them figure it out and Rowan tries to beat him for trying to rizz up his beloved sibling. Ray will also get a scolding for bringing sweet, innocent Icarus into his less ethical detective practices. Ha.

Additionally, in freak coincidence Rowans child, is also his niece! He genuinely had no clue until one night in a deep conversation his best friend opened up about how similar Icarus looks to his niece, Onyx's egg donor. Icarus developed an even deeper hatred for his twin sister that night upon Rowan opening up even more about what his sister did to him. (It gets real fucking dark, so I'll spare those details.)

Icarus absolutely hates talking about his blood relations unless its Onyx. Who he treasures deeply and is so proud of. And by proxy Rowan. Of course. Who is his bro, his best friend, his pogchamp.

as much as she doesn't like Scythe, Pick made a deal with her that involved Scythe agreeing not to kill her (in exchange for Pick doing numerous things in return); this doesn't stop them from having a tense relationship and getting into conflicts with each other sometimes, though

the scar on her left arm came from a Phighter who she ended up killing in self-defense

the scratches on her face are from fights, and her hands are callused from her doing a ton of climbing and handling her gear a lot

A sketchy turn around of Phone-In as I still try figuring out his design - I'm very happy with it so far! I'm still gonna fiddle with the details and maybe alter the colors a bit, I'll see. (Since he's supposed to be a Sellbot actually and not a Lawbot like Belle - though like other managers his actual suit color is altered a bit. Took inspo from Brian a bit. I haven't drawn any stripes on his suit on this image, thought... )

I still need to figure out their name, otherwise they're pretty much good to go? Though before I can say he's officially finished, I'd like to finish Tony's and Cassie's designs... Tony is gonna be a bit more simple as I already have the concepts, but Cassie may take some time as I want a neat original design for her as a fan-design.

I'm really making a design and a personality for a character that's mentioned by name once, huh? Yes, yes I am, and proudly... I can't wait to share some of my ideas, but my brain is blanking out on talking about it until I have the visuals ready, lol

now im thinking about cercerion and how ive been wanting to do more soulsborne mockups of him as a boss, the problem is that i have way too many titles I want to give him because all of them sound so cool

so what I've compromised with until now is that he would be a three phase boss, the first phase being regular Cer (blue) "The Grief of the Storm", the second phase would be Rion (orange) "The Tyrant of the Storm" and the last phase would be both of them (both blue and orange clashing for dominance) "Cercerion, The Apocalypse"

during the last fight the more you damage his health bar the more the name glitches out and turns into "YOU REAP WHAT YOU HAVE SOWN" and the more intense the fight gets the more the map gets destroyed with huge chunks of earth flying up into the sky because of the electromagnetic field he's generating

since his whole story arc is about repenting for what he did (destroyed the world by losing control and giving into anger) it'd be really really ironic to have him be a boss fight where you FORCE him to destroy the world just to fight you

and then maybe you do kill him at the end. but at what cost.

#cers first phase would be him crying bc he wouldnt understand why this is happening and most of the 'attacks' are just him defending #himself but hes wayyyyy too powerful to do that so they would hurt you anyways. but they arent malicious. he doesnt want to hurt you. #second phase is him getting mad and rion taking over with ACTUAL malicious intent and harsher attacks towards the player #last phase is both of them battling for dominance of their body... trying to do whats right in their different ways. their attacks would be #really unpredictable and mismatched but packed with ridiculous power because they arent holding back at all anymore. they cant. #thunderclap #cercerion #oc ramble #kind of?????? idk how to tag these maybe i should start a new tag idk

Description: Sam Blyth is the younger sibling of the Blyth family, being Andrew's younger sibling. Sam is a shy, sensitive soul who struggles to communicate with those they aren't familiar with and cries at any minor inconvenience that is brought upon them. They love to wear dresses due to the fact it makes them feel prettier.

They have an obsession with strawberries and adore the colour pink, especially baby pink. When you get to know Sam, they can be the kindest soul you could meet. Unfortunately Sam can get overly emotional a whole lot and can rarely stand up for theirself. They hardly ever get actually angry but when they do, they get angry. Sam LOVES animals, they deem them as cute and fluffy. However, their favourite are cats.

Powers: Sam technically is the strongest in my OC's universe, but they are completely clueless to that fact. Sam had been told from a young age to never use the abilities they have, which means that they don't use their more obvious abilities. However, being the angel of nature, although it isnt their total duty to look after the wildlife, they do so anyways due to their love for animals in general. They had soon discovered at a later age that they can communicate with animals, which makes things much easier in terms of finding out their needs.

Sam's gemstone weapon is a bow, meaning their can summon their own designed bow and arrows at any time given.

However, Sam discovers bit by bit little things, like controlling water, or making tiny gusts of wind. They cant control the weather as such, but they can currently do minor things. Sam hasn't been taught how to use their abilities, so it's only minor abilities they can do

Though when Sam feels extreme emotions (seething rage, unwavering sadness etc.), well. I won't explain. >:3 but they become much stronger for a short period of time. I will not elaborate because uhh mysteriousness or something.

Andrew Blyth

Description: Andrew is the oldest sibling of the Blyth family, being Sam's older sibling. Andrew is filled with grace, elegance, and is extremely strict on how he presents himself. He is obsessed with how others perceive him, even going as far as to have his appearance a certain way, otherwise, it bothers him a lot. He is kind, caring, and mature. He enjoys the idea of him being a strong, corageous man.

Andrew is the role model in my universe, as others see him as almost "perfect" to a certain extent. Truth be told, how he presents himself to the public isnt how he really is. He has an alcohol problem and is quite depressed. The stress of desperately obsessing over continuing to serve others a role model wears him down. He has fought against 2 wars against the main antagonist of my universe - Discord - in which serves as a big reason people look up to him (especially the mortal humans). Only those extremely close to him know about his deteriorating mental health.

Andrew is a human born angel; being turned into one after dying unlike Sam, who was born one. His halo is twice the size of his head and his wings are huge. He was born in 1785 France, in which he became a famous poet in France(Paris) in the 1800s. Sadly, that was short lived as he died and became an angel in his 30s.

He loves to read books and write poems, and is also extremely intelligent. He can learn things he wants to rather quick with his intelligence and smarts.

(He's my most traumatised OC too 💀)

Power: Andrew has a couple of powers.

1. He has puppeteer strings that come from any surface to lift something/someone or control someone(for an extremely short amount of time. I.e. a minute or two). His strings are green and have a soft green glow to them, and weak or sturdy depending on Andrew's willpower or strength. However, this ability has some cons. First of all, he hardly ever combats anymore, so he rarely uses it for combat. Second, they have to be on a surface (i.e they cant come from the sky). Third, how sturdy or strong the strings are depends on his physical strength at the time (If he is weak, the strings will be too, and vice versa). Finally, He can only control people for a very short period of time, as it uses up his magic and strength very quickly. Typically he doesnt use the controlling part of his power as he just doesnt like the general feel of being able to do that.

2. Andrew's gemstone weapon is a golden spear, in which he can summon as many as he wishes in a single battle.

for aleksey it's not a problem because, one, he's pretty much always cold, and two, he sleeps like a corpse (unmoving). but sometimes he can't handle how touchy feely both his boyfriends are, he needs *space*!!! keep a 5 meter distance or get stabbed

jab is restless, always tossing and turning, but honestly being held hostage by jeremy has forced him to sleep on more than one occasion which is a win for everyone. sleep deprived jab is scary

A little ramble this time. I love rping complex and troubled characters with layers to them and that aren't linear in 'getting better' with their issues. Sometimes it isn't planned in all details and I just go with the flow rather than be this super skilled writer that remembers alldetails makes all ic scenes and conversations have impact and meaning or purpose for the whole story. Then obvioysly those characters end up in conflict in one way or another. With how much I struggle rping conflict it makes me freak out a bit despite discussing things with all involved ooc. On top of that I want things in rp to have visible results like -soon- but I progress stuff slowly. It makes me anxious about rp. A paradox or just shitty storyweaver. Result often is that I take break or quit characters I love rping. I am not sure what to do with that at all.
