Chloe's sudden shift in character because Thomas realized they were making her a little too redeemable is SO funny to me. Like:
Season 1: Chloe is a regular, one-dimensional high school bully.
Season 2: Chloe is actually a bit more of a complex person than that, because nobody is pure evil. But she's still definitely an asshole.
Season 3: Chloe is a child who was neglected by her mother and spoiled by her father, making her into the brat she is today. Marinette as Ladybug shows Chloe a bit of kindness that she might not have fully deserved, and Chloe takes those words to heart, working to be a bit better over time. Progress is slow, but not impossible.
Season 4: Chloe is a cartoonishly evil villain who never gave even half a shit about anybody.
Season 5: Chloe just about ruined Marinette's entire life years before the show even started, and is the reason that Marinette stalks Adrien (See? It wasn't creepy after all. Stalking is justified sometimes!). Just trust me, this was definitely the plan from the very beginning.
Saw someone point out another parallel between Marinette and Gabriel, both having an "end justify the means" mentality.
The entire series is Gabriel's example while Marinette has Confrontation(the ep she put a microphone and one-way mirror in the girls bathroom), Animaestro, 99% of S4, the S5 finale, ect
Remember, this is the same show that uses a "We're not so different, you and I" moment not to help Marinette realize the darker side to her feelings for Adrien, but rather bond with Gabriel over how obsessive they are.
Even if the show acknowledged it, it would just be another way to make Gabriel out to be a good guy, because Marinette's good, so why wouldn't he be good too?
I haven’t had the time to draw digitally for the past week or so, but I have been doodling quite a bit on notebooks and papers in class :) have some Adrien, chat, Marinette, and Felix
“Can I drive?” Adrien asks, utilising his best kitten eyes as they cross the parking lot.
Nino gives less thought to the proposition than he did to whether they should pull over for road-trip treats by the highway. “No.”
“Can I drive?” Marinette asks over a mouthful of McFlurry.
“Absolutely not.”
"M, you can't even drive," Alya points out.
"You say that like that would have stopped her before," Nino says, the same time Adrien adds with a grin, "She can't shoot, either."
Marinette, like the cool and collected adult she is, blows them a raspberry. “God forbid women do anything.”
so, gabe knew that both marinette and adrien were in shanghai the same time as ladybug and chat noir. he also overhears marinette talking to fei about her missing earrings which are really precious to her. the same gabe who tells akumatized villains to take ladybugs earrings every single goddamn episode. he really can't put two and two together.
