You cant just pitch the idea of Arya naming her son Micah and moving on like you didn't shatter my heart. Naming her son after the first true experience of violence and injustice before her eyes, and it happened to a normal kid who was just being her friend snd honouring a kid who no one but her would ever remember forever in naming a son after him.

I love the idea of the Starks naming their kids after characters theyve lost in the story and no one knowing where Arya got Micah from. But its okay. She remembers Micah, and now in a special way, everyone else will now too.

LISTEN, Arya and Mycah mean so much to me and I think about them a lot. Their relationship was so short-lived but it's such a significant moment in the story and to Arya's development. She is the only one who stood up for that poor boy, the only one to remember him, and the only one who tries to get justice for him. She's remembered him even books later, so I can definitely see her remembering him even longer down the line. I also think that the next generation will have some familiar names (I can definitely see some Ned's and Robb's down the line) and it would be so beautiful if Arya named a child after Mycah and kept his memory alive.

dreamnap part of an arranged marriage where sapnap had to leave his kingdom behind to move into dreams castle and while dream is excited because he's liked sapnap for so long sap is still unsure and uncomfortable in the new space which effects his feelings for dream not being able to process them yet and keeping his distance. despite it dream continues to send him gifts and love letters, trying his best to make him more comfortable by cooking saps local food and having his men bring down trinkets he's collected from his home town which works for the time but dream can still see that saps homes sick. so he makes the decision to have sapnaps personal knight tony be by his side again.

at first it was lovely to see his face light up, jumping into tonys arms with delight and start rambling about how much he missed him. sapnap also hugs dream tightly too, thank him with a kiss on the cheek even feeling comfortable enough to sleep in his bed that night. but the closeness doesn't last long when all he could talk about is tony about his skills as a night or how close they were since they were kids. the jealousy came gradually when it was them alone sapnap would gravitate towards dream but when tony entered the room sapnap would go to him. he understood that he was closer with tony but dream was his husband not tony and dream starts to feel helpless that his love for sapnap might not be enough if he can't loves him back

the fact I've seen a couple people say the reason for the lack of mourning for Kit in ChoT was because cc "didn't want to write sad scenes"... if she didn't want to write sad scenes she shouldn't have killed off a main character????? like why kill off someone and then not follow through with some sort of narrative weight (which is probably going to be sad. because someone died.)

like writing 101 is to not kill off characters unless it serves some sort of purpose, whether plot wise or character wise. even if that purpose is to show how dangerous the situation is for everyone else. but for that to be effective it can't just... exist in a vacuum. there should be notable changes in other characters behaviour bc of the loss, or how the plot unfolds afterwards. death is kinda a big deal & the writing should reflect that! there should be a gaping hole in the group you can feel, a definitive change story that wouldn't exist if the death hadn't happened, especially for a main character.

and the way Kit's death is written... doesn't reflect any of this. like he hadn't died the book would have ended exactly the same. and honestly the whole thing is kinda a slap in the face for readers just because we have read three books with Kit & fallen in love with him as a character. we deserve mourn him! we deserve to have moment where we get to cry alongside the characters for more than a couple sentences! and the fact we don't makes the whole thing feel unfinished & that the ending is undeserved. like for me at least, reading the epilogue was a "that's it?" moment, it all felt too good to be true (and a bit fan-servicey). like I was just expecting this moment that never came & it left me feel unbalanced. at the very least someone could have spared an "ave atque vale" like come on now.
