Day 1 - Happy New Year, Dear. (Repost)

Sohma Hatsuharu x Fem!reader.

This story is a smut story for the New Year, I’ll be writing more characters x reader one shots for the New Year and if you want to see a character please let me know...

I’m aware others may have different New Years celebrations and traditions, however I typically stay home with my niece and nephews… partly because I like looking after them, but mostly because I don’t drink or like going out into big/over crowded places… so I just sit and watched the New Years specials on TV and our suburb’s firework display.

Summary: You and Hatsuharu celebrate the new year’s with a hot bath and a steamy exchange.

“It’s a lot colder then usual” you smiled as you leaned further into Hatsuharu warm body, he hummed and tightened his grip on you, “I can’t believe the year of the tiger is soon to be over…” you looked up at him and cupped his face, “you should give Momiji a call to wish him a happy new year, after all its going to be the year of the rabbit… and besides that he was kind enough to call last New Year’s Eve to wish us a happy new year” you smiled and brushed a thumb over his lips. “I guess you’re right” Hatsuharu kissed the tip of your thumb before lifting you off his lap, however just as he was about to stand, he stopped and instead leaned into you and rested his face against your chest, “it’s too cold without you” he whispered as he snuggled his face between your breasts, you chuckled and ran your hands through his hair. “Don’t leave me, okay” Hatsuharu sighed, you hummed and kissed the top of his head, “Haru, you know Momiji isn’t the only person you have to call… she’s also excepting a call and I promised her, you would” you sighed sadly as you referred to Hatsuharu’s Ex, Sohma Isuzu.

Hatsuharu pulled back and gave to a tight lip smile, “you’re too nice for your own good” he held your face, “if me talking to Rin bothers you that much, stop setting up phone calls” Hatsuharu hummed and you shook your head, “look, I might be possessive and easily jealous, but I’m also extremely prideful and won’t let others know how much their actions affect me.” Your hands rested on his chest, before you leant in and kissed him, you looked at him with a soft smile. “I’m going to run a bath, join me when you’re done on the phone” you stood and held out your hands to Haru, he took them and stood as well, “okay, I’ll be quick” he walked past you to grab his phone.

You set the water temperature before sitting on the wooden stool next to the overly large tub, after scrubbing off your body and rinsing off any soap, you stepped into the tub and felt the hot water slightly sting your skin, this was because you had made the water hotter then usual, Hatsuharu was going to take a little time before coming to bathe and you still wanted it to be hot for him when he got there. You sat in the water with your legs pressed to your chest as you hug them and rested your head on your knees, your chin and lips were submerged and you anxiously sat there blowing bubbles just like a young child would as you waited for your boyfriend to join you.

“How cute… the water looks nice” Hatsuharu smiled while he stripped himself of all his clothes and jewellery, placing his clothes in a basket and his jewellery in a little tray on top of the towel cupboard. Hatsuharu walked over to the stool and started scrubbing himself, before rinsing all the soap off, while doing all this you watched his every movement intensely, “do you enjoy admiring my body that much, you’d stare so intently?” Haru questions with a smile as he stepped into the hot water and hummed, “it’s still hot” he smiled as he sat across from you and leaned back on the tub with his arms resting on the edge. Hatsuharu smiled at you and you could only blush and turn around facing the other way, you heard Haru chuckle and felt the water ripple as his hands rested on his shoulders, “why are you acting so shy?” He hummed and pressed his face against your ear, “let’s kiss… I want you to be with me” Haru whispered in your ear, you looked back at the white and black haired man. Hatsuharu had a slight smirk on his face as he leant in and lightly kissed your lips, before he sat back into his original spot, you turned your whole body towards him and leant into him before rested your hands on his chest as he wrapped his arms around your waist. You giggled as he pinched your hips and you lifted your butt, before wiggling it, “teasing me, huh?” Hatsuharu hummed before lightly smacked a hand down onto your ass and rubbed over the spot he smacked. Hatsuharu brought his hand down to your aching cunt, your moan echoed against the bathroom walls as his rough finger rubbed soft circles onto your clit, before he trailed his finger up to your wet entrance, Haru slipped his finger into you and immediately found your g-spot before he began to gently rub it with his finger tip. You moan louder and gripped Hatsuharu’s shoulders as you pushed yourself back onto his finger, “let me give you more” he sighed before pulling his finger out you and before you got the chance to whine, Haru pulled you onto his stiffness. You both threw your heads back and moaned as Hatsuharu slowly bounced you on his member, “Haru more… I want it all” you moan loud and dug your nails into his shoulders, he groaned as he stood and lifted you up, before pressing your back against the cold bathroom wall.

Hatsuharu thrusted into you and grunted as you scratched down his back, while you squeezed around him as you began to lose yourself in the pleasure and edged closer to your climax. Hatsuharu’s hands gripped tightly on your ass and rested his head in the crook of your neck as his hips faulted, before you both came with a loud moan.

Hatsuharu stilled himself inside you before he sat back down into the bath water and you rested your cheek on his shoulder, “Haru… hold me close and never let me go…” you hummed as you gripped onto his chest and kissed his neck. Hatsuharu wrapped his arm around you tightly and cupped your cheek before kissing you deeply, “I’ll never let you go… so don’t ever push me away…” he whispered against your lips, “I won’t” you whispered back before closing your eyes and drifting off to sleep.

When you wake again, you were lying naked in your bed with Hatsuharu’s arms wrapping you in a warm embrace, you both lies facing the large window in your bedroom, “the fireworks will start soon, just keep watching” Haru hummed and you watched the window, until suddenly the sky fulled with bright colours and light, you laughed and giggled as Haru kissed your neck.

“Happy new year, dear.”

A/N: HELLO EVERYONE! My BNHA x diabetic! Reader imagines are finally done! If you’re an otaku with T1D and starving for representation this is for you. I’m starting with Midoriya, Todoroki, and Bakugo, but I plan on writing for more characters later. Also I intended for these imagines to be just how the guys would react to their s/o’s diabetes, but it kinda got out of hand lmao.

🥦Izuku Midoriya🥦

🥦When you first started at UA you hid the fact that you’re diabetic.

🥦Your whole life people told you you could never be a hero because of your diabetes

🥦Too much of a liability 🙄.

🥦You even stopped wearing your devices because you didn’t want your classmates seeing them in the change room.

🥦During your first year at UA, you became quick friends with the Dekusquad.

🥦The closer you got to Izuku the bigger your crush for him got.

🥦So imagine your horror when one day Isuzu accidentally walks in on you giving yourself an insulin injection before lunch.

🥦 Izuku: 😧

🥦You: “I swear it’s not what it looks like.”

🥦You then proceed to blurt out your whole diabetes journey and why you tried so hard to hide it.

🥦Izuku is immediately empathetic with you because of his own life experiences.

🥦 He even tells you that he was told he could never be a hero growing up because of his quirk.

🥦It was a sweet bonding moment.

🥦You guys start dating soon after.

🥦Apparently, he did a health class presentation on diabetes in middle school and he actually did his research so he knows all about T1D misconceptions and doesn’t ask annoying questions or make assumptions because of your chronic illness. Hey you’re not complaining.

🥦He eventually encourages you to start wearing your devices again.

🥦Alright him and your endocrinologist bc you A1C went up at you last endo appointment 😭😅

🥦You know what that means… Izuku gets to learn about pumps and cgms.

🥦 He’s so interested in them too.

🥦He writes down all the info about them in his notebook about you (yes he has a notebook dedicated to you). It includes your preferred bg range, insulin ratio and correction factor, preferred site locations, etc.

🥦 He loves to help you change your sites too.

🥦Maybe a little too much lmao 😝.

🥦 You like to let him pick out decorative tapes for your cgm and infusion sites too.

🥦You usually end up with All Might inspired tapes or green ones lol.

🥦One time you convinced your endo to give you a saline trial pump and cgm for Izuku to wear to see what it was like.

🥦Izuku immediately jumped at the opportunity to wear the devices so he can better understand what you go though.

🥦It was a nightmare for him.

🥦He’s a restless sleeper, so he kept getting woken up with compression lows at night and the pump was painful for him and it left a bruise at the site.

🥦At the end of the experiment, he realized that wearing devices 24/7 was definitely not something he would want to go through and he has 1000x more respect for you.

🥦You did get some cute couples selfies with both of you showing off your devices though.

🥦Of course you taught him how to take your bg and give you an insulin injection. You usually let him if he asks.

🥦He’s pretty good at mental math so he’s really good at giving you carb counts for meals and he has the carb counts for all your favorite foods memorized in case you forget.

🥦Eventually the whole class figures out you’re diabetic because you start openly wearing your devices.

🥦Partially because your easily hidden site spots were getting pretty scarred from over use 😬.

🥦It leads to some pretty interesting and meaningful conversations with your classmates.

🥦You occasionally have to bust diabetes misconceptions and get asked the occasional thought less question from them🙃.

🥦But your classmates are decent people and willing to learn so once you (or Izuku) correct them they don’t say/ask it again.

🥦Izuku is also hyper aware of you going high or low. It’s like he has a sixth sense.

🥦Like if you go low he’s right next to you with your favorite low snack before you even realized you were low.

🥦If you’re high he’ll give you your space (you tend to get really irritable when you bg is high 🥴), but he’ll check up on you occasionally to see if your mood has improved or if you need anything.

🥦If you ask and you’re up to it, he’ll come with you to an improvised training/workout session to help bring down your bg.

🥦Izuku is there to support you through it all as always 🥰.

🔥Shoto Todoroki❄️

🔥The whole class found out you were diabetic by accident.

❄️One day your cgm alarm went off in class while Aizawa was lecturing because your bg had gone high.

🔥It’s not that you were trying to hide your diabetes from your classmates but you weren’t openly discussing it with them either.

❄️Everyone turned and looked at you. Aizawa just nodded at you letting you know you had permission to leave and do whatever you needed to do because of course he already knew.

🔥Your boyfriend Shoto looked over at you to make sure you’re ok. He helped you calculate your bolus so he would never forgive himself if something happened to you.

❄️So you got up and left the classroom to go to Recovery Girl’s office since you insulin pen and needles were kept there.

🔥So you go do your correction and come back to class with a bottle of water.

❄️ When you sat back down at your desk you winked at Shoto to show him you’re ok and he did nothing wrong.

🔥After class everyone was asking about what happened earlier.

❄️“Was that an alarm to drink water or something?”

🔥 “Are you on birth control?”

❄️You calmly explain that you’re diabetic and you had went high after lunch because you miss calculated the carbs in your meal. But don’t worry you’re fine now.

🔥You even show them the cgm on the back of your arm.

❄️You then explain that you went to Recovery Girl’s office so you could do an insulin shot.

🔥Some of your classmates couldn’t handle the thought of giving themselves a shot. (Mainly Kaminari and Mina)

❄️Kaminari: “I could never be a diabetic. Needles freak me out.”

🔥 You: “Trust me, when it’s needles or die you get over it quickly.”

❄️Once you’ve finally left alone Shoto approaches you.

🔥Shoto: “It’s my fault your blood glucose spiked.”

❄️You: “No it’s not. Diabetes is so unpredictable. I can have the exact same meal on two different days and take the same amount of insulin and end up with very different results. Diabetes is just diabetes sometimes.”

🔥You and Shoto have only been dating for a few months now and he learned about your diabetes fairly early on in a similar manner your classmates did today.

❄️Your cgm alarm may or may not have gone off during an intense make out session. 😬

🔥 Having Shoto freak out because he thinks you’re about to die was the most embarrassing and the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you.

❄️Shoto: “I really do have killer looks.”

🔥He calmed down once you talked some sense into him and explained what’s actually happening.

❄️He’s still haunted by the cgm alarm though.

🔥After finding out about your diabetes he became pretty involved in helping you manage it.

❄️Particularly with carb counting, portioning, and helping you cook meals.

🔥He’s really good and finding new low carb meals to try (not that you need to eat low carb of course but it helps prevent you bg from spiking).

❄️He’s not the biggest fan of needles but he’ll hand you supplies while you’re doing a site change or injection.

🔥He’s also really good at supporting you though high and low blood sugar episodes.

❄️When you’re low he’ll bring you candy, low snacks, blankets, anything you need really.

🔥When you’re high he’ll bring you your insulin pen, water, and cuddle with you if it’s a bad high where you feel like you’ve been hit by a truck.

❄️He’ll also go on a hot diabetic walk with you to help bring your bg down.

🔥It also helps that he’s a heating and cooling pad all in one so he adjust his body temperature to whatever you need.

❄️He’ll also fight someone if they’re being super ignorant about diabetes and/or make fun of your illness.

🔥A boy from general studies once made a comment along the lines of “how can a lazy ass with diabetes get into the hero course instead of me?”

❄️Let just say you would never want to be him once Shoto laid into him. It wasn’t pretty 😬.

🔥Luckily Aizawa let him off with only two days house arrest because he was fighting an ableist so that was at least somewhat heroic. The ablest asshole got suspended for a week like he should 😙.

❄️Again not that you need someone to fight your battles but it’s nice to have someone stand up for you considering most of your life you didn’t.

🔥Overall Shoto is an amazing type three. (A/N: if you don’t know type three is a term type one diabetics occasionally use for their diabetes support person who’s a non diabetic.)

💥Katsuki Bakugo💥

💥It all started because of your phone.

💥Well technically Mineta’s phone.

💥One day Mineta got his phone taken away because he was trying to solicit explicit pictures from girls over social media in the middle of class.

💥Mineta: “How come y/n gets to use their phone all the time in class and never gets their phone taken?”

💥You were immediately embarrassed because you thought you had been discreet when you checked your cgm reading on you phone in class.

💥But being the bad bitch you are you immediately pull your shit together and came up with a quick come back.

💥You: “Perverts really don’t have room to be talking about something they don’t know about.”

💥Aizawa immediately ending the discourse before a fight broke out.

💥 After class a few of your classmates confronts you about what was said in class.

💥Mina: “Yeah, y/n how do you get away with using your phone all the time in class? What’s your secret?” (I’ve literally been asked this before rip 😝)

💥You decide this is a good of time as ever to finally tell everyone about your diabetes.

💥You: “Well, to be honest I thought no one noticed, but I have an accommodation that lets me use my phone in class, so even if a teacher saw me use my phone they can’t take it away. I have type one diabetes and I get my blood sugar reading on my phone from my continuous glucose monitor.”

💥This of course sparks a ton of questions from your classmates.

💥“How did you find out you have diabetes?”

💥“What’s a continuous glucose monitor?”

💥“Do you have an insulin pump?”

💥 “Are you afraid of needles?”

💥“Wait! If your diabetic how were you able to eat Sato’s chiffon cake?” 🙄

💥While you have a low tolerance for bullshit, you can be patient when you want to be and right now you wanted to educate your classmates about your chronic illness. (Mainly so you don’t have to deal with dumb questions/comments later.)

💥So you answer each question honestly and within reason.

💥You: “(insert your diagnosis story here). Just so you know, this is a very personal question, so if you meet anyone else with a disability and/or chronic illness be careful when asking this because this might be a very traumatic event for them.”

💥You: “It’s a sensor that I wear under my skin and measures my bg so I don’t have to prick my fingers all the time.”

💥You: “Yes.”

💥You: “Never had a chance to.”

💥 You: “I took insulin for it.”

💥Bakugo: “Alright extras quit bothering them! “

💥Your classmates instantly changed the subject bc they new how protective Bakugo can be over you.

💥Bakugo: “That shitty grape had no right to say that.”

💥You: “No, he didn’t but they had to find out eventually.”

💥Bakugo the grumbled about Howitzer Blasting that shitty grape as you grabbed his hand and led him back to the dorms.

💥You: “I’m sure you will later sweetie.”

💥Bakugo: “Stop calling me that.”

💥You: “Make me.” 😋

💥So the rest of the afternoon and evening went normally until it was time for dinner.

💥Lunch Rush treated you guys to a ramen night. Everyone was excited because Lunch Rush’s ramen is the best. Especially you since ramen is your favorite splurge food.

💥You were running low on insulin in your pump so you decided to bolus with your insulin pen for this meal since it was going to take quite a bit of insulin to cover.

💥So there you were, minding you business in your dorm, giving yourself and injection in your thigh, when half of class 1-A decides to bust in.

💥You: “WHAT THE HELL?!”

💥 “We saw that Lunch Rush was serving ramen tonight.”

💥“We wanted to ask if you can eat that.”

💥“Or see if you wanted something else. Maybe a salad?”

💥You had to restrain yourself from going off on them. You knew they were coming from a good place but you had already explained all of this to them earlier.

💥You: “You guy realized that I’ve eaten ramen before right? I’ve eaten ramen at every previous ramen night so why do you think this time will be any different?”

💥“We just thought..”

💥You: “Didn’t I explain earlier that I can eat whatever I want and I don’t have to stick to some shitty diet. Or where you just not listening?”

💥Kaminari: “Can you put the needle away and stop waving it around!? It’s freaking me out.”

💥Bakugo finally decided to show up after hearing all the commotion.

💥Bakugo: You extras were the ones who came into their dorm uninvited.

💥The rest of the class left you alone after that.

💥Though you do occasionally feel eyes on you when you’re eating.

💥Now onto bakugo’s reaction to your diabetes and management.

💥When you first told him on your second date (he had taken you out for pizza) he was unphased.

💥His literal reaction was “like that matters.”

💥Didn’t bat an eyelash when you pulled out you pump to bolus.

💥Although he never said it, he really wanted to learn more about type one so he could understand what you go though on a daily basis.

💥He did his own research at first and his YouTube suggested page may or may not be filled with “Day in the life of a Type One Diabetic” videos.

💥You caught on quickly on what he was trying to do so you decided to educate him from time to time on you own management and experiences when the opportunity presented itself.

💥To your surprise, the loud and tough Bakugo is actually really afraid of needles. Like full on phobia.

💥His mom actually told you that they have to use numbing spray for him when he gets vaccinations lmao.

💥So whenever you give yourself an injection you say your gong to go stick yourself with a needle to see him cringe 😝.

💥 You think it’s funny.

💥He tried to watch you put on a site once and tapped out once he saw how long the needle was.

💥It’s the thought that counts you guess.

💥 He is very empathetic about what you go though on a daily basis.

💥Because he sure as hell knows he couldn’t do it.

💥He will kiss you on your forehead and call you his badass when you’re alone.

💥The fact that you can deal with needles everyday and not bat an eye is impressive to him.

💥And if anyone makes a diabetes joke in his presents you know he will go off on them.

💥One time you two went on a date to a museum and you were able to bring your bag in even though no bags were allowed because you carry diabetic supplies. Well, the Karen behind you in line took offense to that because she wasn’t able to bring her bag in. So she cornered you and Bakugo inside.

💥Karen: “You don’t look sick. There’s no reason for you to have special privileges. You’re just abusing the system.”

💥 First, you had to physically hold back Bakugo from blasting this Karen.

💥Next, you pull out a couple of syringes and your lancing device from the front pocket of your bag.

💥You: “If you want to switch pancreases with me I’m 100% down. You know, since you know so much more about my disease than me you should be able to handle it better too.”

💥The Karen walked away with her tail between her legs.

💥It was at that moment Bakugo realized why he was attracted to you in the first place.

💥He even took you out for ice cream and boba after you were done at the museum. He could tell you were still shaken up by the Karen encounter.

💥He’s also really good at carb counting because he’s use to counting his macros during training. Gym bro things.

💥He keeps packs of hero gummies on him at all times in case you go low.

💥He’ll also slip you low snacks in class/training if you need it.

💥He has access to your cgm readings on his phone and he’ll text you funny comments about your bg.

💥 Like your own personal Happy Bob.

💥He’s also the only person brave enough to call you out when you’re cranky from a low/high bg.

💥“YOU’RE FREAKING SHAKING GO EAT SOME FUCKING CANDY RIGHT NOW!”

💥 “YOU’VE BEEN OVER 250 FOR THE LAST THREE HOURS. GO TAKE SOME INSULIN AND THEN WE’RE GOING TO THE GYM!”

💥It’s humbling experience.

💥He’s also really good at graphic design so he’ll help you design decals for your pump and cgm.

💥You usually wear the ones you help design, but occasionally you’ll wear the hero/Dynamight ones he designed if you’re feeling spicy.

💥He even made one to match your hero costume!

💥 Overall, Bakugo is an amazing diabetes support boyfriend!

§ Suddenly, out of nowhere, you broke up with Hakkai. You also became a super cold, violent, mean person who just avoided everyone

§ It was like you were a whole new person---and, Hakkai, being so deeply in love with you, was heartbroken

§ But soon enough, heart break turned into determination as he went out searching for you and the reason of your change

§ However, it led to nothing

§ Hakkai just couldn’t find you. There was no trace of you left behind, not even a text, call, or anything. You were just gone

§ Hakkai’s hope quickly went down from this—and soon enough, he convinced himself that he lost you…forever

§ He locked himself in his room and sulked for more day than he could count

§ Hakkai was just so lost without you

§ However, when a little boy knocked on his door and yelled at him that he knew something, Hakkai had to come out---he had to see if there really was something left behind of you

§ If anything, it made him more depressed…

§ But, as Hiro continued, Hakkai slowly became more determined, to find and save you. Soon enough, he managed to get himself dressed, and with Hiro following behind him, he set off the find you.

§ And with Hiro’s instructions Hakkai did really mange to find you!

§ You were weak, tired, and clearly not okay

§ You were thinner than before, and so weak that you were laying on the ground unmoving

§ Hakkai immediately rushed towards you as he saw you like this, and kneeled down next to you

§ Then, he did something unexpected

§ He just sat down and rubbed your back, whispering a ton of sweet nothings

§ You tried to push him away, but you were so weak, and his words were so touching that you instead ended up sobbing as Hakkai told you all the things he loved about you

§ Then, after a while, he picked you up and slowly walked you down to the hospital, where you hesitantly got treatment

§ You weren’t happy—and you were still quite cold, but with Hakkai’s warm touch and words, you stayed and got the help you needed

§ Before you knew it, months had passed, and you were finally back on your feet

§ You were still affected by all those terrible things Akito said and did to you, but Hakkai’s lovely words cancelled all that horribleness out

§ You were now in a world full of love, and you couldn’t be any happier~

Inui

§ Inui was a cold, stoic guy—but he made you the happiest, sweetest person in the world

§ He managed to help you with past, and whatever hatred was in it

§ Inui just made you happy---and you, him

§ Things were happy….until one day when you changed

§ Suddenly, you became aggressive---almost mean in a way. Then, out of nowhere, you left, breaking up with Inui in the process

§ Inui was left heartbroken—absolutely heartbroken. He wondered why this was happening and what caused your sudden change. He really couldn’t bare the pain of not having you there, but he also couldn’t bear the pain of not knowing hey you left

§ So, after a while, Inui decided to get up, and find you again

§ He needed to find out what was bothering you---after all, you wouldn’t just leave for no reason---there had to be an explanation

§ So, he and the black dragons searched for you…but nothing came up

§ You were just gone----you had left no trace behind. And Inui, became lost because of it

§ He became depressed, he didn’t sleep, he was so much colder and quite. He too, was changing

§ This lasted for a good couple of weeks, when finally, he got something

§ You little cousin, Hiro, suddenly approached and insisted he needed to talk to Inui

§ Inui was confused, but he saw no reason to not hear him out…and after looking in his eyes, he knew he had something important to say

§ It turned out, Hiro knew what had happened to you, and with some probing, he told Inui all the things you didn’t want him to know

§ He told him everything from Akito and her behavior to you being pushed out to window, to your disappearance, and your horrible state

§ Hiro even admitted that he actually saw you weakly walking around

§ The moment Inui hear that, he knelt down and instead Hiro led him to you, and he did, hoping your boyfriend could save you

§ Unfortunately, you were stubborn

§ When Inui approached you and gently tried pulling you in for a hug, you shoved him away, and weakly stumbled back, insisting that he should stay away

§ When Inui tried again, you only became more insistent—and kept backing away

§ This lasted for a good while, until Inui had enough; he just threw you over his shoulder and with Hiro, drove you back to the hospital

§ You still tried to fight him, and the very concerned hospital staff, but Inui was persistent

§ He wasn’t going to let you go this time

§ In the end, after fighting so much—you broke down

§ You weakly cried, tired from everything that had happened

§ You felt like you could no longer take it

§ But just as you broke right down, Inui pulled you into a big hug, and let you sob it all out on his shoulder

§ You stayed like that with him for hours, and even fell asleep in his arms. It was comforting for you to have him there, despite knowing he should stay away—you couldn’t help yourself

§ In fact, Inui’s presence was just so comforting that you found yourself unable to walk away. So, after lots of debating, you agreed to stay in the hospital

§ From there, you managed to recover from everything (with a grudge towards Akito) and came out as a better person

§ Now, you were happy, and would forever stay that way—as long as Inui was there, you’d be the happiest person in the world~

Kakucho

§ You and Kakucho were the butter to each other’s toast—the sugar to each other’s tea---the cream cheese to each other’s bagel

§ You guys’ just fit perfectly, so perfect that you managed to save each other

§ Kakucho’s damaging past was forgotten because of you and his love for you--- and the darkness of your past was lit up with Kakucho’s light

§ Until you left—and Kakucho was left alone, once again

§ You just up and left, with no explanations

§ You suddenly became this closed off, aggressive person, and then, you up and left---leaving Kakucho lost again

§ However, someone like him wouldn’t let things go so easily, so, he ultimately went looking for you in all the places he thought you’d be

§ But you still weren’t anywhere

§ Just as he was about to give up though, your little cousin, Hiro approached him…

§ Although Hiro was hesitant and clearly felt a lot of guilt towards the situation, he told Kakucho everything

§ He told him everything from you hearing those terrible words, to falling out the window, to your current, horrible state, which was beyond concerning

§ And the moment Kakucho heard all this, he was completely devastated

§ His heart literally stopped. He felt tears prick the corner of his eyes as he thought of you, the one he loved most, in a such bad state, all alone

§ He could practically feel his heart shatter into a million pieces

§ But, in the same light, Kakucho felt more determined to find you…so much so, that he searched every corner in Tokyo

§ And, low in behold, he found you (with the help of Hiro, of course)

§ You were as stunning as ever, but clearly weak. You looked tired, and almost depressed

§ You avoided Kakucho too, dare I say you were mean to him

§ You were just so different; it was almost as if you were a different person

§ However, Kakucho knew this wasn’t the case, and he sure as hell wouldn’t let you go

§ Luckily for him, there was one thing he knew could absolutely snap you out it, one of his legendary kisses

§ So, despite your fake hate towards him and your stubbornness, Kakucho waltzed right up to you and pulled you in for a deep, romantic kiss

§ While the kiss startled you, it also rendered you almost weak, at the pure comfort in love in it. It did so much that it brough you back to your senses and helped you see just how much Kakucho loved you

§ Yes, you were still hesitant and took you a very long time to warm up and go back to how you were before

§ In fact, in the early stages you had tried to leave again, but you boyfriend was diligent, and always managed to bring you back in

§ In the end, with lots of work, and lots of love, Kakucho managed to bring you back, and he saved you, once again~

Baji

§ You were a sweet person before all this, you really were.

§ You were kind, outgoing, sweet, and overall, juts a good person! And all of that was because of your boyfriend, Baji, who managed to save you from the deep dark, depths of your past and brought out the good in you.

§ Yeah, he was a little crazy himself, but his kindness and love toward you brought out the best in you

§ Your relationship was truly how love should’ve been---until now

§ Now you were just this nasty, cold person who avoided anyone

§ You even ended up breaking up with Baji, and then just disappearing off the face of the Earth

§ Baji on the other hand, couldn’t accept that end

§ So, he went out to get to the bottom of this—and he went out to find you

§ And I’ll be damned if his, stupid, stubborn self doesn’t actually do it

§ But even he had no luck

§ Luckily for him, someone who did know what happened, approached him

§ Hiro, your cousin suddenly approached Baji while he and Chifuyu were out searching for you

§ He was startled at first, especially since Hiro is so young, but when he looked at Baji in the eyes, Baji knew this kid had something serious to say. So, he sat down and listened to every word Hiro said

§ Low and behold, Hiro actually knew what had happened to you

§ He knew most of the things regarding Akito, he knew why you were acting like this, and he knew why you had run away

§ At first, despite everything, Hiro kept quiet, but as time went on, guilt consumed him, and he had no other choice than to tell someone—your boyfriend

§ Baji was shocked, I mean truly shocked

§ He didn’t understand how someone could do something so horrific to an angel like you. He didn’t know why you didn’t tell him, or why you ever though you weren’t good enough

§ It hurt him to know you though that way though

§ But the fact that you do, brought Baji more determination than ever—and without a thought, he marched off and searched everywhere for you (with Chifuyu’s help)

§ It took a while of driving and pacing around, but after looking and getting some tips from Hiro, Baji found you

§ You were at the time, weak and alone. He could clearly see that your injury and mental health had taken a toll on you—you clearly weren’t okay

§ The moment Baji saw and understood that he ran to you, like he never had before

§ At first he scared you, and, you tried to fight with him, but Baji was much stronger and more determined

§ Before you could eve get a chance to run away, he picked you up bridal style and with Chifuyu, waltzed you right down to the hospital, scolding you the whole time

§ You, still tried fighting him and the hospital staff, but everything was just too much—and you passed out

§ Next thing you knew, when you woke up, Baji was right there, sitting right next to you holding your hand

§ Baji, immediately leapt towards you and hugged you as tight as possible, though, you still tried to push him away. But the moment you tried to, Baji grabbed your shoulders and shook you, practically yelled at you how much he loved you

§ Then, he gripped onto you, like the world was going to end

§ From there things got much better

§ It took time, but after some treating yourself from any toxic people, you became happier

§ Yes, you were in a away, always going to be different, but you were still happy, and finally in a good state

§ And this, was all thanks to Baji, who, gave you all the love you could ever need~

Two friends and maybe...lovers?

The first time (Y/n) meet Haru and Rin was... a bit weird.

金継ぎ | KIN-TSUGI [ A Fruits Basket Fanfiction ]

Chapter 9

Tsubaki locked herself in her room for days. Akito would sometimes bang into the door as she cried for Tsubaki to open the door but there was no answer.

Often inside the room, the maids would hear Tsubaki coughing and sometimes moaning in pain, this was the impact off the curse of the servant who was denying her master.

However deep into the night there would be a knock on the door which was answered. Tsubaki only responded to Kureno and no one else. When he entered in room, Tsubaki would embrace him as he whispered comfort into her ear while wiping her tears, as she would then fall asleep in his arms.

However there was one night in particular which was different. Tsubaki was leaning against Kureno's shoulder as she felt a sudden emptiness making her turn her head to look at Kureno.

"You're here with me right now, right Kureno?" Tsubaki cupped his face as her voice trembled. No doubt someone left.

"Of course..." Tsubaki slowly turned away. The feeling she got right now was something she felt years ago, it was when Kureno's curse broke. She closed her eyes as a tear slipped. There was a pain within her as if her heart was ripped apart.

Kureno looked at her as pulled on his shirt, wiping her tears. "What's wrong?" Kureno's voice was gentle.

Tsubaki hesitated to speak but then she leaned into Kureno's chest. "How did you feel when the curse broke?" Someone's curse broke... but unlike Akito, Tsubaki did not know who until she saw the person face to face.

"It felt empty... Till that day I felt someone with me but all of the sudden I felt so alone." Kureno smiled looking at Tsubaki, playing with her hair. "I did not know whether I was sad or happy...frustrated or relieved."

"It is too complex for me to describe..."

"I see...."

.....

Tsubaki opened the window to her room. She sighed as she let the fresh air in as she then rested on the window sill.

She was yet to meet Akito or anyone else for that matter. However Tsubaki trembled as she imagined meeting Akito, for now she feels disappointed and hurt at Akito but if she were to meet her personally, Tsubaki knew all of these feelings will dissolve and be replaced with simply affection for Akito. That scared her.

Tsubaki listened to the gentle rustle of the leaves and the gentle breeze on her skin when all of the sudden she heard a commotion.

As much as she didn't listen, it was human nature to pay attention to the noise when an environment is otherwise silent. There seemed to be shouting, Tsubaki wondered if it was Akito.

Did she get into a fight with another zodiac members? Or is she simply throwing a tantrum... Tsubaki thought. Either way she did not want anything to do with it.

However her body betrayed her. Before Tsubaki could even register, she was walking towards the noise and there were continuous whispers I her mind. What if Akito gets hurt?

The scene which was in front of her horrified her. There was Ren who was holding a knife pointing towards Akito. Kureno and two other maids were also present.

Ren's hand shivered as she shouted. "I don't know what of Akira-san's you’re holding but give it back!" Her voice trembling. "It’s mine! Everything of Akira-san's belongs to me."

Tsubaki looked at the object she was referring to only to see a small box in Akito's hands. She vaguely remembered that box was given to Akito by the head maid to comfort the small child when Akira passed away. The head maid said that it contained Akira's soul.

"Mother, Calm down." Tsubaki stepped in. "We can talk this through-"

"Don't come in between me and Akira!" Ren shouted as she pointed the sharp object towards Tsubaki preventing her from taking another step in.

Kureno quickly grabbed Tsubaki as pulled her behind him. "Stay behind me..."

Akito sighed as she pulled a condescending smirk as she walked towards Akira. "If you really want it, I’ll give this stupid thing!" With that Akito threw the box up in the air.

Ren ran towards the box which was on the floor as she eagerly opened it. Her face then turned into a blank expression. "It’s empty..."

"That's right..." Akito smiled as tears slipped from her eyes. She looked away. "It has always been empty-" Akito swiftly turned as grabbed the knife, which was on the ground, as she raised it to stab it into Ren.

Akito suddenly stopped her action as she quickly faced Tsubaki. Tsubaki also had a similar expression. Once again there was a sudden feeling of emptiness. Someone's curse broke... Another end had come.

Ren looked at Akito, who stopped moving all together. "What's wrong? Weren't you going to kill me?"

"Shut up!" The head maid shouted, furious. "Why did you even bring a weapon here?" This caused another fight to break out between the two maids.

Akito slowly walked away leaving the room, looking weak. And when Ren and her maid left, there were only Kureno, Tsubaki and the head maid alone.

"Kureno-san please go to Akito." The head maid requested. "I want to talk to Tsubaki alone." The man gave a worried look but nevertheless agreed.

"Remember Tsubaki! You're supposed to serve Akito." The head maid starts as she looks at Tsubaki.

Tsubaki looked oddly unresponsive and empty. Her mind was still in daze but that did not stop the maid from continuing. "You all are bound by the bond and if you don't act properly you are no different from that monster cat-"

"I want to leave..." Tsubaki spoke.

The head maid gasped in shock. "What type of nonsense are you speaking Tsubaki-san?!"

"I'm honestly very tired..." Tsubaki spoke in a low voice. "Ever since I was young I followed what you taught and did whatever Akito said as if it was a law."

"But then when I was alone in the room for the past few days my mind went everywhere as I imagined all sorts of things." Tsubaki smiled. "I wondered if I had been born into a normal family, I would have known parental love. Spending mornings having breakfast with parents, doing the dishes and even having family outings at time. I always wanted to have something like that."

“I have realized that I have a person I love possibly more than I've loved Akito." Tsubaki wandered her mind to Kureno's gentle smile. She wondered if she left, he would go along with her. "But now I want to move out. I'm far too late for those experiences of my ideal family now but I can give that to my future children... I want to be my own person and build my own family with a person I dearly love...."

"B-but..." The head maid's voice stammered as she hands shaked. "If you were to leave just like the previous people who were bound was the servants you might die!"

Tsubaki turned away as she walked away. "I think...If I were to die while fulfilling that wish, my last thoughts would be 'I'm happy that I'm surrounded with people I love'."

Walking away Tsubaki noticed that it had started raining. The weather made the atmosphere quite dark.

Entering the hallways, she saw Kureno and Akito. They were embracing.

Ah... I forgot. Tsubaki thought as she felt her heart hurt at the sight. Even if I and Kureno were to love each other, we don't belong to one another. We belong to Akito.

Just as Tsubaki was about to walk away from the two Akito suddenly pulls out a knife, the one Ren had brought, as she impaled the object into Kureno's back.

Tsubaki brought her hands to cover her mouth from shock as her whole body went cold.

"Your kindness that half saved and half rejects me...Has been killing me!" Akito pulled away as she shouted. "So take responsibility and pay for it!"

Akito then walked out of the house and into the rain. "Atone with your death!" With those words she runs away.

"Kureno!!!"

Tsubaki rushed to his side, as he limped towards Akito. "Tsubaki... Forget about me. Go to Akito..."

Tsubaki stripped off her outer kimono as she placed it on Kureno's injury to prevent the blood from flowing out. "Don't be stupid!" She shouted as her lips trembled. "I'm not going to leave you."

"Somebody! Is anyone near?!" Tsubaki shouted.

Kureno looked at Tsubaki. The girl was crying as she kept turning her head around to search for the presence of other people. It's seemed as if Tsubaki seemed to be crying a lot these days. He disliked that.

Kureno weakly raised his hands as he cupped her face. "Are you crying for me?" He smiled at his own joke.

"Are you an idiot?! Who else is bleeding in my hands?" Tsubaki shouted. "Of course I'm crying for you."

"I'm happy...." Kureno left his conscious slowly drifting away as his vision started to blank. "Don't worry... I won't leave you... I already planned my future with you..."

Kureno knew he was never Tsubaki's top priority. She always priorities Akito.

Kureno knew Tsubaki's first love wasn't him. It was Hatori.

Kureno knew Tsubaki's kindness towards him. She was kind to all of the zodiacs.

But then more than other zodiacs she loved Akito. She never acted to have a relationship with Hatori even though they clearly loved each other when they were younger. She made sure to crush her feelings for Hatori because she knew Akito would never allow it.

Despite all that, Tsubaki finally turned to Kureno. She knew Akito would hate it yet she accepted Kureno's embrace. Even though she gave up on her love for Hatori, she expressed her love for him, Kureno. Even right now rather than Akito, she chose to stay by his side. Kureno was happy Tsubaki finally picked him over everyone.

Tsubaki opened the door to Kureno's hospital room. She stayed there until Kureno regain consciousness after his surgery but was later forced by Kureno and Hatori both to go back home and rest for a while.

Going back home she took a bath, a small nap, made some food and even packed some to later feed Kureno.

Tsubaki noticed the man was lying in bed, his eyes closed. She smiled as she tried to walk as quite as possible as she placed the packed food on his table.

Walking towards Kureno, she took in his appearance. His brown hair which was quite messy and his face which looked a bit paler than usual, nevertheless she couldn't deny he was indeed attractive.

Rasing her hand she placed cupped his cheek as her thumb moved gently. Kureno shifted slightly as he tilted his head slightly. Tsubaki giggled at his actions. "So you're awake."

Kureno let out a small laugh as he opened one of his eyes. Tsubaki walked away with a smile. "Wake up. I got you some food." Making Kureno sit up as he leaned on his back.

While placing the food in front of Kureno, Tsubaki started. “I went to visit Tohru as well. It seems she has been recovering well."

"I see..." Kureno said as he picked up his chopsticks and picking up some rice from the bento box. "I glad that her injuries weren’t too serious."

"She kind of reminds me of you." Tsubaki laughed as Kureno gave a confused stare, his cheeks filled with food. "Both of you are incredibly kind and maybe abit clumsy... but I like both of you."

Kureno continues to eat his food before he starts speaking, his tone tense. "What about Akito? How is she?"

Tsubaki sighed as she looked outside the room. "Akito... Akito changed after meeting with Tohru. She has become calmer and gentle."

"Kureno, I feel like you might not want anything to do with Akito anymore." Kureno nodded when Tsubaki looked at him asking for confirmation. "But when I talked with Tohru...I realized that Akito was all this time very lonely. She has been raised with everyone around her telling she is special and nothing she does can be wrong..."

"I said those same things as well but now after seeing her again I want to rebuild my bond with Akito." Tsubaki bit her lips as she hesitated continuing. "I no longer want to see her as my master but rather treat Akito simply as my dear sister."

"There are many things she doesn't know about the outside so I hope that I can teach her and be by her side." Tsubaki looked into Kureno's eyes. "If I said I don't want to leave Akito yet stay with you... would you leave me?"

Kureno smiled as he placed a hand behind Tsubaki's head as he pulled her into an embrace. "I got you after so long, there is no way I'm letting you get away." Kureno kissed the top of her head comforting her. "Indeed I don't really want to personally be in contact with Akito now... but then I have nothing against you wanting to be with your little sister. I'll support whatever you want, Tsuabki..."

"Thank you-"

Tsubaki suddenly stopped speaking as she left something leave her, all of her senses completely heightened as she turned around to see what was causing it.

Behind her stood a man, he resembled a Shinto priest, who was looking at her as he stood by the window. A gust of wind flew into the room as a dragon gracefully flew towards him.

The man spoke, his voice was so gentle and elegant. "Thank you for taking care of her till the end." By her, he probably meant Akito, their God.

As he then held onto the dragon who pulled him from the room as they flew away. Back to their God.

Tsubaki suddenly remembered every time Hatori and she were seen together, the people would gush saying how it's was nice for the souls to be reunited. As according to the ancient story and their past self’s, the servant and the dragon loved each other dearly, sometimes as friends sometimes as lovers.

"Tsubaki?" But the one she loves now is him.

Kureno’s voice brought her back into reality as she finally turned to look at him. "The banquet has... The banquet has finally ended." Tsubaki's voice cracked as tears continued to fall.

"It feels so complicated. I've always lived with this but now that it's gone so suddenly... so abruptly I-I..." Kureno pulled her into an embrace.

Her then cupped her face as he placed a light kisses on her forehead. "I understand..." Kureno spoke. "But then it means you're free, my love. With this I want to take this opportunity to say I'm going to dedicate all of my being to you..."

Kureno looked at her. Tsubaki could feel his gaze simply full of affection towards her. "Let's make a new bond...just between me and you. A bond which will make me the happiest person alive."

"Will you till accept me even..." Tsubaki kept crying but this time to was full of happiness as she held Kureno’s hands. "Even if I have nothing to give you other than my broken self" She has done many things wrong in her life which hurt many along the way, all because of her coward-ness and insecurities.

Kureno laughed lightly as he peppered her with kisses all over, her eyes, cheeks, forehead and finally her lips.

"That's all I ever wanted. I'll always be with you picking up all your pieces and make sure to fill you with nothing but my love."

.....

"Akito."

Tsubaki looked at Akito was sitting down looking at the garden outside, beside her was a small package, a golden glow from the outside making her look so beautiful.

"Tsubaki..." Akito turned slowly as she looked at her. She opened her mouth as if to say something but closed it, only to suck in a deep breath. "I thought you won't come back?"

Tsubaki smiled. She is certain now. When she stayed away from Akito, Tsubaki wondered if she loved Akito simply due to the curse, but the way her heart warmed at the sight of Akito, what Tsubaki felt was genuine love. "How could I?"

"Tsubaki there is something I want to say..."

"What is it?"

"Can we start over?" Akito said, her voice barely audible. "I know the things I did to you were wrong and you might never forgive me...But still I want to see me grow into a better person..."

Tsubaki smiled as she cupped Akito's face. "Only if you call me onee-san... Like how you did when we were younger."

Akito's eyes glistened as she closed her eyes, bringing her hands to her chest in relief as she nodded her head.

Tsubaki turned to look at the package beside her. "Is this the gift Shigure bought?" Akito nodded. Truth is Tsubaki wanted to buy Akito a kimono as well, a gift for Akito who will embrace her true self from now on but it seems that Shigure was one step ahead of her.

"This is my gift for you..." Tsubaki pulled out a small rectangular box as she then opened it. It was a hair pin, beautiful sculpted as a red flower which would go well with Akito. Red always suited her.

Tsubaki smiled at Akito, which such a gentle yet doting expression. "Shall we get ready for the final banquet now?"

Tsubaki could hear loud voices from the room the door away connected. She turned back to look at Akito once more. The woman was dressed in a beautiful kimono even with light makeup adoring her face. Her gifted hairpin placed on one side of her hair.

"Akito, you look really beautiful rights now."

With that Tsubaki opened the door as she stepped in. "Good evening, everyone." Tsubaki bowed, when she straighten up she put on an elegant smile. "Akito is ready..." She then walked in and behind her Akito walked.

With Akito's entrance, everyone turned silent undoubtedly shocked at the reveal. "Hatori, where is Shigure?" Akito questioned.

Hatori snapped out of his daze as she shook his head. "I don't know..."

"Akito-san, don't tell me we have the same cross dressing hobby?!" Ritsu exclaimed in shock.

Akito's expression soured at the assumption. "No." She sternly denied as Tsubaki laughed. Akito never really was good with dealing with Ritsu and Ayame.

Akito elegant sat down as she faced the zodiac- no, former zodiac members. "Just as all of you were able to return to who you are, I'll return to my true self." Akito spoke. "You all are free..."

"I know I should have said something sooner but..." Akito bowed her head. "I apologize...." Besides Akito ,Tsubaki also bowed as well.

You don't have to forgive Akito but please do not let the past prevent you from having a future we always dreamed of. Please smile, please laugh, please experience love which we were not able to get when we were younger. Tsubaki thought.

"Mama!"

A woman turned around to look at a small girl who was clinging into her apron. The woman smiled at the tiny girl, who had glowing brown hair tied into a twin tail. "Are you done eating your pudding, Kaede?" She bent down.

Kaede smiled when her mother wiped the crumbs left on her cheeks. "Mama." She said once more. "I want to go visit Shiki-chan!"

The woman tiled her head as she smiled. "Do you love Shiki that much?"

The small girl nodded quickly as she raised her hands. "I love him thiiiiiis much! I love Hajime and Mutsuki as well! They told me Kaede is like a princess! "

Her mother laughed. "Let's not say that to papa, okay? I'm sure he'll faint if you say that."

The mother then hummed as she placed a hand on her face. "But I don't think we can go visit them if Kaede doesn't do her homework." She faked a pout.

The girl flinched as she took a step back. "Kaede will go do it right now!" With that the tiny girl ran away with sounds of tiny steps accompanying her.

The mother then walked to the living room, and in there she found her husband who had fallen asleep on the sofa. Smiling to herself, she raised her husband's head and placed it on her lap.

Noticing crumbs of the pudding on his cheeks as well just like Kaede, she smiled as she wiped them away. So clumsy… Her husband receiving her touch, leaned in. "You're not even asleep, Kureno. Stop acting."

Kureno slowly opened his eyes as he smiled looking at his wife's face. "Where is Kaede, Tsubaki?"

Tsubaki smiled. "She went to do her homework. Apparently she wants to visit Shiki."

Kureno sighed, disappointed. "Does that mean you're going to go away?" Kureno pouted.

"That's right." Tsubaki subconsciously started playing with Kureno's hair. "I heard Tohru is visiting as well so it's perfect."

"I'll miss you." Kureno smiled as he raised his hand and placed it behind Tsubaki's head. "Do come back quick." He said, as he pulled Tsubaki towards him, as he then kissed her. Tsubaki smiled as she leaned in, deepening the kiss.

"Ah!" A small voice exclaimed. "Papa move away from mama!" The girl rushed in as she started to pull Kureno away from Tsubaki.

Kureno started sobbing as he pretended to be pulled by Kaede’s strength. "Ehh? Why are you so mean to me?"

The girl huffed. "Because Mama is mine! And we are going to visit Shiki-chan!"

"Papa is sad that he'll be left alone."

Tsubaki's heart warmed up at the sight of her husband playing with her child. A scene she could have never have imagine when she was younger was reality now. From the bottom of her heart, she was happy.

A new bond which was accompanied with happiness and love embraced so gently which would remain for all eternity.

Rin + Gou

-their trips are always vv wholesome

-before leaving, their mom would make bentos for yall to eat in the car

-rin would be the one driving for most of the trip, but his mom would step in if he'd get a lil too angry over slow drivers haha road rage gang

-yk their music tastes are god tier so that shouldn't be a problem

-yall would play car games like "what do i spy" to pass the time

-rin's making travel vlogs for tiktok because yeah

-he also has his headphones in, pretending like he's in the music video

-gou is busy watching muscle videos she downloaded on her phone

Asahi + Akane

-going on trip with them would be anything but quiet

-asahi is that person always asking "are we there yet"

-akane would reply with "no dummy"

-kon and akane would take turns driving

-ofc they bought some coffee from the shop for the trip

-cue asahi spilling coffee in the car and causing a panic

-you and asahi would play with tsukushi until he falls asleep for the rest of the ride like all babies do on road trips smh

-asahi is that person who would say he doesn't need to go to the restroom just as they're approaching a stop but will immediately ask to just after they leave

-he's also the one who suggests play car games which often don't end well because tsukushi would wake up crying from all the noise

-and then you and asahi would have to be the ones to lull tsukushi back to sleep

Seijuro + Momo + Isuzu

-honestly their trips are one of a kind

-good luck trying to sleep during their chaos

-they really did turn their whole car ride into a karaoke session

-random stops at the grocery store just to make tiktoks>>>>

-momo asks to pee almost every other hour, sei needs food all the damn time, and isuzu needs internet to look at memes

-all of you are squished in the backseat with pillows and suitcases

-did momo bring his stag beetles? well you are about to find out right no-

-as you rested your head on the window, you felt something move around your face. at first you didn't pay attention to it, thinking it was just a fly, until you heard strange noises coming from whatever was crawling on your face. you slapped the side of your face, only to feel something you least expected. it was a beetle, but not just any beetle. it was momo's prized stag beetle he planned on giving to gou.

Natsuya + Ikuya

-both you and their parents are praying for a peaceful trip where the brothers won't fight-

-well that didn't happen

-first off, the aux is passed to natsuya because he's got that music taste

-at some point during the trip him and ikuya were fighting over the aux because ikuya didn't want to listen to his "shitty" music

-you were able to stop them, as you stole the aux for good lets hope you have good taste in music unlike me cough

-ikuya, on the other hand, has his headphones shoved in his ears probably listening to sweater weather

-it’s teasing ikuya about embarrassing childhood memories hours

-more like bullying ikuya hours

-while he's asleep, you and natsuya would take turns trying to tickle him

-natsuya is taking SO many photos for his instagram

-he also sneaked in a picture of a drooling ikuya on his private story

-as payback, ikuya ordered natsuya the spiciest chicken nuggets on the menu at their stop and forced him to eat all of them

-lets just say natsuya did not have a good night after that

It first started small with him making sure you were eating and healthy then it turned to him bringing you gifts that reminded him of you.

“ Kyo, welcome back!” A soft smile graced your face as soon as you saw the orange hair you were so familiar with.

“Here.” Your eyes widened in surprised as Kyo held out his hand his face a few shades redder than usual. In his hand was F/C ( favorite color ) bracelet. You looked back at Kyo confused about what to do. Was it for you? No, you were not worth Kyo’s time you-

“What?” It seemed like your eyes couldn't widen any further but they did. You remembered you told him your favorite color was F/C but you didn't think he remembered. But didn't take it the wrong way it does take time before you guys even start to date because Kyo wants to be a little bitch and deny his feelings-😃 so yeah

Not too much at all! I had so much fun writing these and looking up the rings! Also I didn’t know if you wanted me to include Isuzu but I did just in case <3

Rin

He’s going to go above and beyond for his proposal. I know I have this certain “setting” with him at the beach during a sunset in a lot of my hcs and scenarios but it’s because I feel like that fits him best. Lots of rose petals around and writings on the sand. And there he is, on one knee in the middle of a heart shaped with petals, holding the ring up. I BET YOU HE’S GOING TO START CRYING WAYYY BEFORE YOU EVEN SAY YES.

“Sniff sniff...(y-y/n)...” and start his long sappy speech but you can’t wait any longer and just pounce onto him.

Ok so I actually did my research for these rings. Anyways I read that the princess cut rings usually mean that the person is a true romantic at heart so you already know I had to go w that for Rin 😝

Also another romantic. I think I picture his proposal with the ring being served in a glass of champagne at a very fancy restaurant. However instead of you taking the ring out, he’s going to do it and then get down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant and propose. He’s a very confident man and will do it because he knows you’re going to say yes.

“Haha yes Momo I’ll marry you” you say yes before he can even ask and he suddenly forgets his embarrassment and let’s out a loud YAHOOOO 🎉

This gal has got it all planned out. Nothing classicaly romantic or anything. I can actually see her being so casual with it tho. Like you guys are playing videogames or something and all of a sudden she just brings it up.

“Hey...let’s get married” *continues intensely fiddling with the joystick, tongue stuck out in concentration. Like I don’t even think this girl has a ring on her atm she just straight up asks.

Hmm I wasn’t too sure about Isuzu so I picked a classic round cut, for her I think it’s not rlly the ring but the experiences AFTER the ring if you know what I mean ✨

Fruits Basket Manga Review , ch 107- 108

se03, ep 6 is weakest ep in se03 despite it being tohru’s long waited focus & having the biggest plot keys & character impactful moments & one of the best pining hug scenes in anime history “ thro the laundry sheets at sunset”. Reading the chapter that starts this ep in the manga made me feel so happy & so angry.. I lament all the subtle yet effective changes & the powerful character-influenced changes that the anime ditched for cheap drama or unexplained wide shot.

-The Art of Subtlety: Power Resides in Words:

In se03, ep 6 when tohru tells kyo that Isuzu will be staying at Kazuma’s, kyo responds that” then Master won’t feel lonely”. Meaning after his imprisonment. Huge gut wrenching moment since kyo doesnt know that tohru knows abt his imprisonment.

The anime chooses to displayed it in their mandatory style of “ kyoru-moment inside shigure house : which is widen the shot so much to include yuki & shigure & flatten the emotional impact to include other characters reaction that has nothing to do with the moment itself... They never consider zooming into the kyo-tohru reactions to their words, then widen the moment o include yuki, shigure, the tv, the woods, kyoko’s grave or the moon if they want to.. Complete lack of understanding of the emotional impact. This isn’t abt romantic lovey dovey moment. This is abt character development. The biggest loser i this design is : Tohru’s emotions. God, I hate how bland she is in the anime in regards to situations that affect HER.

Also, the anime chooses to squeeze in another moment here, which is kyo’s reaction to tohru’s grave visit & still lacks in showing the emotional depth even here & opted for what? yup! you guessed it. Widen the shot to include yuki & shigure. At this point I wonder why kyo & tohru didnt adopt yuki & shigure & took them with them in their house by the end of the story. To complete the tradition of these two poor guys witnessing everything..-_-’. Jokes aside, This doesn't just affect kyo-tohru. But also reflects badly at shigure & yuki. They become an unwanted third-wheels without proper plot or character driven reason. In good story-telling “ forced-third wheeling has a purpose!!”, such as to transfusion to the 3rd character moment or to be later used for the 3rd character driving emotional moment. not just a reminder that characters X & Y live here & therefore see this & that.. This is an example of missing the impactful design of the moment. I dont even understand how can someone miss such basic story-telling devices...

Lets look at only 3 panels from the manga:

See how in the above panels in the focus is on tohru’s emotions. This is Tohru’s focus why not show her emotions instead of her stupid wide eyed, new eye lashes face & zooming out on tohru to include yuki for no reason!!!!! The anime is capable of focusing on characters pain, we saw that wioth yuki dozens of times. The anime is capable of focusing on showing facial emotions, we saw this with kyo in all his focused eps! Why can’t they give tohru half of that.. Just look, she looks like spacing out thinking of what to cook~ lala~ gotta feed the boys.!! zoom out on her & her purpose on the story~~~~~

-The power of words is unbelievable~~

Kyo’s little sentence of being happy Isuzu will stay with kazuma, destroyed tohru. Look how the manga makes tohru continues to think abt it. You might wonder why will the author do this? The author is building towards tohru realizing her romantic love & uncovering her traumatic attachment to her mom. Reminds you of sth? the 6 or 7 eps that se02 dedicated to yuki where every sentence established his journey towards facing his emotions. In se02, yuki thought abt the words of many characters until he reached his conclusion. The anime refused to give tohru ONE sentence.

-Powerful Character-Influenced Moments:

The manga made rohru leave screaming abt wanting the curse to break before spring. Why? because (a) tohru must be giving time to think abt HERSELF, not the cat or the curse, so tohru wander around thinking abt her mom, we saw that in the anime. the the moment of shigure tells tohru abt the zodiacs ugly spirit & delight at seeing the cat suffers happens right before kyo finds crying tohru. Why? because (a) it was established that kyo will visit kazuma, so no weird out of no where lover finds lover in the streets for loving support moment, (b) to make kyo’s emotional support to tohru reasonable. In the anime, he saw her crying & comforted her assuming she cried cuz of the grave visit or sth, it was never hinted at anything, cuz kyo never gets any inner thoughts until it is his dramatic moments, but here he comforts her cuz he thinks she’s upset abt Isuzu, why oh why you write this thing out??????????????????????????????????

Not enough eps? but you gave motoko half an ep?!!! Why write off your main protagonist? I dont get it??? why intentional make tohru one-denominational character. Either yuki’s momma or a girl in love.... Is that what women are for the anime? a caring loving mothers & good lovers?

-Shigure’s words are to tohru are so watered down in the anime. Here he connects everything to the major plot of “ zodiacs turing into cute animals ” premise of the story, this is not sth cute as the early story made it out yo be. I love this!!!! why the anime cut it! Tohru screams when shigure brings an unavoidable question. Ask yuki & the the others whom tohru loves & believes they’re the kindest. Ask them of they KNOW kyo will be locked & are relieved! so cruel & shocking thing to thin abnt that shatters tohru’s world! shigure knows tohri will NEVER ask! so true to his character! epic moment! My best shigure-tohri moment! both of them NOT hiding anything & both in theit lowest moment!! INGENUOUS WRITING!!! so plot-worthy!!! WHY CUT IT!!!

Kyo finds tohru cuz he saw her sad! bringing the realistic aspect of story-telling & ditching the dunb superficial coincidence.

Look at how tohru uncovers her trauma little by little:

parallel between loosing her mom & loosing kyo. By showing this, the readers/ viwer will begin to be prepared to question tohru’s “ I cant love mom more than kyo”. The following chapters will for sure dive into this deeper, writing tohru as more understandably, more flawed., more real. Nothing like a the fixer for grown men, nothing like an angelic mom, nothing like the princess saved by the prince’s love. Basically, nothing like her shallow anime self.

Side Notes:

I was right abt the anime wanting to close Isuzu & Haru’s arc in ep 5, cuz in this chapter we have a lil scene that is the follow up with their plotline. Haru wanting to thank Kureno & asing Isuzu to never risk herself. It’s the little things that add depth to characters.. but I get it Haru in se03 can no longer support yuki cuz yuki have Kakeru, so his plotline is reduced to isuzu’s lover & that was closed in ep 5. Isuzu still had few things to add to the plot in ep 6 which is be tohru’s unfiltered deep talk partner.

The sad reality of the anime focusing on wide shots lost us yet another good emotional impact besides kyo-tohru moments. This time, we lost kazuma’s reaction to isuzu being held in cat’s room & haru/yuki’s reaction to kazuma’s sadness.. The anime gives us wide shot to include all the room. so,Screw haru & yuki’s reaction???.. they dont care abt the cat? is that it? nope, cuz this reasoning requires emotional depth of hate & disgust. The anime just loves wide shots “ so artistic~” but the real reason, the anime is flying in bullet speed in this ep to include as much as it can to save place for the “ new added moment of kyoru’s united shock” & still include the intro & outro... yep, ep6 is the weakest ep in design...

I hate hate how tohru was done so dirty! I’m loving everything abt her so far in the manga, but when I remember her in the anime! ugh! I still love kyo & yuki’s anime stories. But tohru, nope. I stopped loving her in se02 once the beach arc is over & she became a full mother to yuki & nothing more. I adore her character & she’s so endearing, but My God, she’s so bland in the anime, just the lightest version of her manga self... so light, it’s a shame she’s a protagonist...

I really wonder how manga readers feel abt the lack of tohru’s focus & lost emotional depth? is tohru even popular in the manga days? I know kyo is popular & i know lots adore yuli’s growth. but what abt tohru? I’m curious how manga readers felt watching her butchered arc in se03?
