it's funny bc i used to think harry potter was a story about inclusivity - a girl is excluded because of where/how she's born, a boy is excluded because his mom is the same way and he grows up in an abusive household where he's impoverished and ignored

but like. ive been thinking about it and this is a story about exclusivity

i never understood why magic had to be a secret - and it's never really explained, but i think i get it now - magic only belongs with the select few who deserve it, jk rowling is just saying that hermione is a unique special snowflake and she deserves it because she's so smart and brilliant in spite of being a girl, and harry deserves it because his mom is just like hermione, and his dad is a legacy - harry is what she sees as the ideal - a boy born from a woman so smart that she worked hard and "made her own success" and a father who was Right and Belonged the whole time, who chose that brilliant girl, in this world that JKR is so desperate to be included in

voldemort is just the epitome of like. nazis. the way white people like to pat themselves on the back for being oh so evolved and being the great big heroes of the story

you see this with hermione and the way she insists on helping the elves even though the elves never ask her for help. she leaves clothes lying around literally trying to trick them into homelessness and poverty, because by living in hogwarts and depending on them, they're weak, lesser beings that she needs to help. you also see that she moves on and gives up basically, instead of becoming an activist or starting a non-profit, she joins the ministry of magic and uses her intelligence to help the people she eventually realizes are the people who truly deserve her help - wizards (and witches) even the trio that she becomes a member of is a trio of two boys, and they are the only cross-gender friend group in the whole series - because hermione is so great that she can evolve beyond gender standards and reach past her "level" and become one of the boys (oh yeah and all the girls hate her)

even when they do eventually defeat voldemort - it's like, the death of nazism in the magic community, but they still keep magic a secret. the world never learns that someone tried to take it over, because harry and the good wizards were such great heroes at protecting them the whole time that they don't even need to know! and they don't deserve to know. because they don't have magic.

oh and the whole "love" ideology - we are the truest and best and most special beings because we know how great and amazing we are and how much we deserve magic and to benefit from this exclusive community we've created for ourselves

it's like the slytherins are the big bad nazis of their exclusive white community, the ravenclaws are the smarty pants who are brilliant but don't actually do anything, the hufflepuffs who are like, nice, but stand back and watch, and the Gryffindors. the big great Gryffindors are the amazing heroes who act and accomplish things and save the world

not to mention the consistent lack of poc and queer ppl, and the antisemitic themes, i mean, even the other two magical academies introduced are all white people; the human-like magical creatures are poc coded and always need the help of the wizards because they just can't seem to sort out their own problems

like, i can't believe i was ever into these books

I promised on Discord (3Tan) to read everything didn’t I? So, here’s some reviews/thoughts/love for the first things I read:

Lessons in Love Making; This was the first story of yours I read, and I liked it very very much. First of all: Jk is such a sweetheart, trying to learn and express his love. And talking and asking for tips. Some people should do that more. I sincerely like that he got some good lessons. Also; you are so right in writing all of them saying talk to your partner. And, I get Jk in another level. When he said: “You feel so much better than Momo,” I was like- yes, he needs a real connection with his partner. I’m just like the Jk you wrote here, I can talk about intimacy like a boss, a little to open and too much sometimes, but when it comes to doing it: I need to actually have that connection. Writing a good trio is no easy feat and I liked your take on it. This line: “Tolkien, suck a little lighter. There’s only so much a person can take.” and the fact that he actually listened, I love that. Don’t get me started on Namjoon and the fact that I can read it as if I’m the one getting those hunks together. Yeah, good story :)! You planning on writing another part of this?

Moon Over Flower; I don’t really like stories about Seakjin most of the time, because he gets portrayed differently from how I see him. But, I liked your take on him. I have so much respect for making a story about someone who still has her V-card after their puberty, but who is still intimate with themselves! I really like people with their own view. I never thought I would like Noona in a sexual story, but it suited the story so well. When Seokjin was like: “If this is uncomfortable for you I’ll give you a full refund. I don’t normally do that but you are the only person that can make my coffee correctly and I really like the conversations we have.” I swooned I tell you. I can totally see him actually doing something like that <3. The intercourse itself was so good to read, it’s spicy and you write it really well. Also: the way the characters flow is really nice.

I’m sorry I haven’t been reading all of them just yet. I have truly been one socials (Tumblr/Discord/Facebook/Instagram) less so I could focus on myself. BUT I did not forget and the rest will follow. I send you all the love and good vibes, because your writing rocks! Keep it up, I’ll keep reading <3

just a random thing I encountered back in elementary fr

So in Vietnam kids kinda have to sleep together if they stay back at school for lunch. Idk what's it like in other schools but that's how it is at mine=)?

We separate girlies and guys, dw. And I'm quite close with this one girl ig. She kinda likes me, and I kinda like her too. Only a little, bcs she's very overprotective?? Like she doesn't even allow me and another girl (in our trio) to hang out with anyone else. Which is weird because she's not our mom or parents or smth? Why is she acting like that srsly?

I'm still normal with her until this one day-... There's a boy that she pretty much like (and ik this is cringe but she basically acted like a rookie for him). That boy is close to me ig, I considered him a good friend of mine. She's like, being quite funny? Like she even ships me with that guy. I'm normal with it until the day it has gotten too far.

We're still kids, yk,... So yeah. Everything we did is dumb. Now I mentioned that we're sleeping together. On that day she's like nagging the boy to draw for her. And he got mad and didn't ofc. I mean it's annoying. When he was awake after sleeping that noon, she suddenly crawled up the idk how to describe what we slept on but she crawled on it and LAY NEXT TO HIM? i was already awake at that point but I'm busy trying to slap my best friend to wake her up. When my crush suddenly was like, (that was back then when I like him but we're together now so- yeah), "Hey, look what your friend is doing?" I don't care much, and didn't look.

When we all need to get up, the boys told me that story. IT FREAKED ME OUT, SRSLY??!!! Like I didn't know-... BUT TILL THESE DAYS IT'S STILL SO WEIRD!!! I mean even if I'm older now it's still very awkward. It was kinda just 4,5 years ago (tbh now I'm 15).

Not to mention I actually met that girl today. And for the afterward of that story, she saw me as a freaking LOVE RIVAL and ended her friendship with me.

She's attending the same Art class as me. It's weird. I don't know how to talk to her fr. I mean I-... nah jk.

Delta is patient and attentive so she’s great with succulents. She has yet to commit the cardinal sin of overwatering.

Hello, I am back with some more Soni and Lucille interacting headcannons (feat. Happiny and Luce’s Pokemons)

Luce has a Gogoat and a Florges and they join Soni’s Dairy Team and Berry Team. She did wish that her sister’s Leavanny is here as well as it would make spinning threads a lot faster.

Luce crying a second time after arriving in Twisted Wonderland after Soni translated how much Lucille’s Pokemons love her.

The girls take shifts in their jobs so the other could get sufficient sleep.

Happiny being gentle with Lucille’s Pokemon egg, waiting for the little one to hatch so she could have a little sibling to play with along with with her Big Sis Chansey and her Big Bro Pichu .

Happiny calling Lucille Auntie Lucy shall live in my head rent free.

Lucille can’t really sing, but she can play a soft tune on the piano and put Happiny and her Pichu to sleep when it’s bed time.

You remember that Pokemon episode about a special delivery Houndoom and Togepi, yeah that’s Onion the Houndoom with Happiny (and Pichu and the Pokemon the Egg will hatch into)

Happiny about to get into danger ? Don’t worry, Luce’s Pokemons are there to the rescue !

Floyd picking up Happiny and about to go somewhere ? Aerosmith the Talonflame dive bombed him and getting the eel burned in the process.

Happiny somehow on too of a tree ? Sonic the Noivern is up there within seconds and give her a ride. He will then uses his ultrasonic waves to look for the freshest and ripest fruits to share with Happiny

Going for a swim in Octavinelle ? Anjawlica the Feraligatr is there as a floatie and to supervise, ready to perform the Feraligatr Death Roll on anyone that tries any funny business.

Some students about to pick on Happiny bc she is small and “weak” ? Suddenly they fell into a large pit that was dug by Jawsephine the Gabite/Garchomp.

Crowley about to approach Happiny ? Not to worry, Onion the Houndoom is chasing him up onto a tree within seconds.

Soni might have met one of Lucille’s older sisters before as the younger one is currently training to take over Malva who will retire soon due to her old ties with Team Flare.

While Casual Geographic Soni’s narrating style is like the guy who runs the channel (i don’t his name unfortunately), Casual Geographic Lucille is like a mix between David Attenborough and a cautious Steve Irwin.

I also headcanon that if the girls have Sygna suits, Soni’s would based on Dior while Lucille’s would be based on Onion. (Seriously, i love the Sygna suits from Pokemon Master and whoever designed them needs a raise)

Aw 🥺 those are so cute! This is kind of a what-if situation, so this is just for fun, just in case anyone's thinking this is canon to the fic just as an fyi

Soni might not tell Lucille about her ability to talk directly from Pokemon speech. It'd be something where Dior would communicate the feelings through psychic power than flat-out saying something due to Soni's fear of someone finding out about her Blessed status.

Soni getting sleep? With the Braincell Trio? She might be dreaming- jk, I can see her being like "Can you deal with them for like five minutes? They can't be left alone. Otherwise, Aegis might chase them up a tree again."

HAPPINY THO

Happiny being a big sibling to the Pokemon Egg and protecting it my heart 💕💕💕 THE HAPPINY PROTECTION SQUAD she deserves it because the little bab is too nice

Her being so loved is always a blessing aaaaa

That Pokemon Episode with Togepi and Houndoom was one of my favorites. It was so cute, so imagining that with Happiny 🥺🥺🥺 that's maximum cuteness

Oooh, if Soni did see/meet Lucille's siblings, that would definitely be interesting. Mostly because Soni's reputation in Kalos varies wildly, depending on the person that someone talks to, so idk how Lucille's sister would react to Soni because of that.

Although, if she's taking over Malva's spot, Soni would be simultaneously relaxed and tense due to outside interference, nobles who have connections through Malva, and previous sponsorship clauses. That's if we're dealing with my world's Malva, but idk in this headcanon.

I was contemplating the idea that Lucille was like a cautious Steve Irwin, based on what I knew about her. It's like Soni's the one to inform, but Lucille's more showing the danger up-front.

Oooh 👀 Sygma Suits look really cool. That's actually funny because Soni's Ceremonial Cloak is somewhat based on a Gardevoir, so for her Sigma Suit to look based on one sounds fitting. One day I will draw Soni's Ceremonial Cloak, but that's in the future!

If other trans fem headcanins were more popular I wouldn't say it would make it better bc ultimately there's still the connection to truthing but it would feel less targeted I guess? Scenario: Instead of a younger human, the Devildom welcomes a mother (with a 3-year old son in tow) into the exchange program.

intro + headcanons about how the brothers would interact with her

bonus how the brothers would treat the son (why son? Perhaps because I too want a son)

I JUST WANT THEM TO FEEL LOVED OK

Lucifer wasn’t prone to believe in fate-- and the beginnings of the exchange program was just another reason why he did not. He let the breeze-- the wind pick a human applicant for him; and if he had gone through every application (though he wasn't completely sure he'd be sane by the end of it all) maybe this situation wouldn't have happened.

"What do you mean you can't be one of our exchange students?" Diavolo inquired, more curious than anything, an amused smile gracing his lips.

"I have a son," she said hesitantly. And there he was, peering around at the assembly room in his mother's arms that were wrapped protectively around him.

A mother and her human child, Lucifer thought blearily. One could only imagine what would happen if both of them remained here. (Which is why he never cut corners in anything he ever did ever because the one time he does, things go to shit. Damn Diavolo for enabling him.)

Lucifer

disgruntled by the adjustments made to accommodate a human child and his mother; mf will he ever rest

probably has to worry about babysitting duties delegated to his brothers

however, pleasantly surprised by MC's calm demeanor and reliable personality; finally another competent person in the house he doesn't have to really pick up after

...actually adores her and her son

accidentally does things to please her without really realizing it and hates the slight disappointment or worry he sees when he goes through sleepless nights or lashes out from anger

doesn't remember the last time he's been chastised, but he's as embarrassed as he can be when she fusses over him

the hell coffee she makes for him every morning and the snacks she brings during his breaks makes him lowkey wanna cry-- he doesn’t know how to deal with a selfless, unconditional love

is used to being a single parent ngl so taking care of her son is kinda… easy especially if the son is compliant

finds himself pressing a kiss to his forehead absently and catches himself only after he's done it (bonus points if Barbatos takes a pic of it and sends it into their trio gc)

“Barbatos, please delete this picture.”

“Oh, are you sure about that?”

ah he's attached, and so are his brothers, which kind of perturbed him a little but he’s kind of in the same boat after a short week or so

(if there was one brother who had a chance of harboring feelings for a mother mc, it’d be Luciiiiiiii uwuwuwuuwuuw; what can I say? He can’t resist the milf)

eventually, he opens up to her about the war-- because if there was any human he’d trust with his secrets, it would be MC

he's crying

he doesn't think anyone has ever talked or held him as gently as MC

similar to the game, absolutely adores her and can't even lie about it

ok jk he's still a tsundere, but blushes every time MC looks at him with a knowing look because he can't lie convincingly enough that no, the head pats dont feel nice and no, he's just eating the lunch she made because it'll be a waste otherwise, ok?!

Her son definitely thinks he’s related to Mammon

Definitely the first one to accidentally call her “mom”

But hey don’t blame him-- he’s weak to how MC looks at him endearingly as she brushes hair out of his face motherly, like he can do no wrong

Nothing can compare to how Mammon feels when MC tells him she’s proud of him

feels legit guilty when she calls him out on his habits of stealing things to the point he remembers her voice when he tries to do it again-- basically his conscience ngl

she's like a cold hand to his feverish forehead, a cooling balm to the burn on his hand

when she defends him from his brother's insults, swears he'll protect her and her son

on that note, adores her son too and her son adores mammon!

surprisingly (or not) good with kids and treats them well; plays with them, very lively and dynamic

takes babysitting pretty seriously-- makes him consider the fact that he might actually want to be a father in the future if possible

not that he doesn’t have reckless endeavors with her son... they just end up okay so no one is none the wiser until it shows up on someone’s devilgram or spoken about through Barbatos/Diavolo

Leviathan

Honestly doesn’t know how to to react

A little miffed tbh that he finds it so easy to talk to her about…. Everything???

When he enlisted her (and her son) to get his money back from Mammon, did he expect to rant to her about all his animes and gush about his figurines to her because that was one of the first time someone’s allowed him to indulge in his hobbies and listen patiently?

No, and now he’s crying

And the fact she gently addresses his self-deprecating comments and urges him to see how she sees him (smart, witty, forgiving)---

Will probably do anything for MC and anything she says at this point; the pact is just a formality LOL

Listens to her and genuinely thinks the things she does for him is in his best interest

Had a hard time knowing how to deal with her son for a while, simply because he doesn’t know what he could do to actually entertain the child

Then finds out he could literally put up TSL or any of his favorite animes and the kid will watch it-- and ABSORB

Levi might as well be the kid’s best friend at this point-- dubbs him ‘Henry’-- which is really the greatest compliment MC thinks her son can get from him

Honestly volunteers to babysit him and proceeds to spoil him rotten

Satan

Slightly annoyed at how motherly she is at the beginning-- he takes her care and actions as if she treats him like a child

Finds it frightening how soothed he feels when he’s around her

There’s something about an older, calming presence that saps the anger from him and makes him feel like he can be himself around MC

Surprisingly the second person to accidentally call MC by “mom” probably an hour after he makes fun of Mammon for doing it (lol karma)

isn't one to seek out her attention like with levi, mammon, or asmo but is pleased whenever he does have time to spend with her because she always seems to have insight on everything and a strange wisdom that all mothers apparently do

has a lot of late night talks with her about her life, her career, what it's like having a child

often finds himself asking her for advice, and even if she doesn't have the answer, he always comes out of it thoughtful and clear minded

always willing to take care of her son; delights in reading him his favorite books and enacting the exciting scenes

always treats him like an adult to the point that their conversations are really funny to listen to

"So would you say the author's intent of the blue door was to convey the agony of grief?"

"I like the color blue."

"As did the protagonist; hm, you bring up a good point."

the son is Satan's partner in crime against Lucifer

"It's better if we do this, isn't that right?"

"Yeah!" MC’s child says, happily chewing on his favorite snack that Satan always gives to him and honestly not caring about the conversation at hand at all

"See? He agrees with me!”

And Lucifer just sighs bc he always loses in these arguments and Satan is unbearably smug

Asmodeus

similar to Satan, finds her presence in Devildom to be very pleasant and calming

she never seems to be disapproving of his past times, and Asmo is endeared by the way she never fails to say "stay safe" or "have fun!" or even "do you want me to leave the front lights for when you come back?"

the little motherly ways in which she shows she cares makes Asmo adore her

loves taking her shopping; always has a good time just gossiping, trying new clothes, or having a girls night out with self careeeee

when her son tags along, loves to have him dress up too or try on make up and it's too adorable NOT to post on devilgram

pretty sure MC's son has trended on devilgram before-- but that was the first and last time because Lucifer yelled at him for advertising the fact there was a human child in Devildom

which Asmo thinks is silly because he's pretty sure the caption under the selfie of the three of them ("So adorbs! I've only had MC's son for a day, but if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in Devildom and then myself. Teehee!") would have deterred any demon from laying a finger on him

When Asmo has him for babysitting duties, always loves to bathe him and play with bubbles, morphing his hair into an afro or an equally fashionable hairdo

actually very attentive to the child!!

Beelzebub

Not much changes from how Beel treats MC, but does view her actions in a more motherly manner

I think one thing that would change is that-- considering MC is a mother of her own child, is actually very protective of the brothers and sensitive to their changes in moods

When Lucifer gets angry at Beel and Luke, MC is furious and furiously protective, not yielding one bit or hesitating to put herself in front of them because of her instincts-- Beel has never admired her more

Physical strength has always something he can easily understand, but it is the strength of wills and of bravery that surprises him every time

After Mammon and Satan accidentally calls you “mom” Beelzebub has no qualms with calling you by mom either-- I mean, what’s the shame in that? Everyone already thinks of you as their mother-figure anyways

MC helps him deal with the loss of his sister

With MC’s child… You know that one meme with the two ways dad deals with kids: one is softly kissing his child on the forehead as he sleeps and the other is carrying his kid by the leg with one arm

Both of them is Beel

carries the kid around in the weirdest ways sometimes, including on his head, in one hand like he's holding a trophy, upside down (dw the kid thinks it's funny)

main transport is on his shoulders though; thinks it's kinda cute how the kid puts his arms around his head

Out of all of them, seeks MC the least; whether it’s from guilt or the fact that her presence reminds him of the things and resentment he used to hold against her

In avoiding MC after the whole debacle, Belphie ends up spending more time with her son because he thinks Belphie is fascinating and Belphie has no clue why

Similarly to Satan, treats the kid like he would anyone else but does find it amusing if the kid chases after his tail like a cat

Always ends up napping with him whenever MC’s son takes a nap-- after all, what’s easier than looking after a kid if you’re BOTH asleep?

Keeps an eye on him by putting a hand on his torso as they nap together

Uses MC’s son as an excuse to not do something, especially when Lucifer tells him to do something he doesn’t like to do

Honestly the son is a part of his arsenal-- he knows how weak everyone is for this kid (and so is he tbh but more lowkey) so cute pics of him is like… currency (Mammon WISHES he thought of this first)

Luke

MC practically adopts him the moment she lays eyes on him-- how could she not? Luke may as well be her other son

Luke can’t say no, especially after she saves him from Lucifer

Definitely calls her mom by accident and the brothers tease him-- only for him to retort back that “don’t you ALL call her by mom?” and they shut up lol

Simeon still gets to tease Luke though heheh

Really really really tries hard not to refer to MC as mom, but it slips out sometimes and no one even bats an eye

Baking together is such a family bonding moment

Treats MC’s son most like his younger brother almost automatically and makes sure he doesn’t get into any trouble while he’s taking care of him (though he does anyways)

Kind of likes the responsibility of babysitting MC’s son; makes him feel trusted

(MC takes the cutest pics of them together when they fall asleep; starts thinking about maybe having another child wouldn’t be so bad)

It’s just basically so hard to imagine! (I know not everyone does this, but in cases where there is a voice model for a character, I “hear” their voice, or at least try to, when reading stuff involving them. So it’s definitely a big deal to me. I’ve gone so far as to come up with voice models for characters in stories that don’t have a real one.)

oh yeah, Stan’s rasp is so distinctive, it’s nigh impossible to separate the rasp from the rest of his voice.

y’know what? screw it, in my West Coast Trio AU where Stan doesn’t have the rasp bc he didn’t smoke, he sounds like JK Simmons but with a New Jersey accent.

AND another thing haha. I so agree with you about how weirdly tiny the wizarding world is (i don't know if we should take the population size as presented in the books literally; i think that was one of jkr's weak points). in my writing, i usually deal with this by having the golden trio generation of wizards integrate more with the muggle world. and i'm guessing there are wizards like stan shunpike who just didn't go to hogwarts bc their families didn't want to send them or couldn't afford to.

I also like the idea of the wizarding world being a lot more international! Travel is not a big deal for them, I think it would be logical for them to have a lot of international connections.

But yeah, I also think JK just didn’t really think about that when she was writing.

chris: • ngl chris would be a little kid on ice • like he’ll be so excited when he sees the rink... • ...but almost slips as soon as he steps onto the ice • you tease him for it, but then you almost slip as well • he starts laughing maniacally, but then extends his hand towards you • you guys hold hands and inch forward slowly • he keeps tripping • “chris! you better not drag me down with you.” • sike, you end up bumping into someone and falling backwards • chris falls too • “look who’s talking now nena.” • you giggle sheepishly and try to stand up but fall again • he gets up surprisingly quickly • “chris ayuda.” • you stick your arms out but he just smirks and skates away • “christopher velez!” • he chuckles to himself before skating back • when he offers you his hand you grab it and stand up then pull him down* • “you’re gonna regret that nena.” • you giggle and skate away as fast as you can • then you feel a pair of arms wrap around your waist • how did he skate so fast what • “i gotchu now!” • he starts tickling you • ah shit you’re trying to squirm out of his grasp but both end up falling • “chris!” • he grins and kisses your cheek • “lo siento amor.”

erick: • i feel like erick would be lowkey good at skating • it took both of you a few laps to warm up but after that homeboy just zooms off • then realizes you were struggling to keep up • “erick wait up por favor” • he notices you trying to catch up to him and slows down • “slowpoke,” he teases • suddenly you wish you hadn’t called him slowpoke so many times bc now he’s using it against you • “shut up.” • he reaches for your hand and helps drag you along • “let’s have a race.” • “erick you’re obviously faster than me-“ • he zooms off anyways • you start to wonder if you’re dating a 5 year old • you try your best to keep up but you know you won’t win the race • some guy starts flirting with you and you slow down a bit to talk to him • and then bAM erick appears out of nowhere and he has his arm around your waist • you try not to laugh as he drags you away from the guy • “i thought you were too busy to win the race to save me?” • “nah i didn’t win because i had to go back for you” • you thought that was kinda sweet and smile at him • then, he drops his arm around your waist • “but i’m still going to win!” • that boy.

richard: • this athletic boi would also be pretty good at skating • let’s just say you weren’t the best skater • he holds your hand and skates really close to you in case you fall • but you keep almost tripping over his skates because of how close you were • so you try skating on your own for a bit • but you fall • i mean what did you expect • jk • aNYWAYS • richard is there to swoop you up into his arms • “are you okay amor?” • “i’m fine, i can skate by myself.” • he knows you don’t want to admit otherwise, so he just goes: • “yeah but my hands are cold.” • so you take his hand and he smiles • he gives you more space this time so you can actually skate • but when you almost slip again his arms immediately wrap around you • you realize how warm he is so you hug him back • he chuckles and kisses the top of your head • “c’mon (Y/N), let’s skate a few more rounds before we go back.” • “i wanna stay like this forever,” you mumble into his chest • honestly he doesn’t mind • so both of you just stand there in each other’s arms until you decide you’re warm enough • but of course after y’all are done skating you go back and cuddle for hours for warmth

zabdiel: • wants to bring you to do something fun • there’s an ice skating rink that opened nearby so that’s where he brings you • you laugh when he gets on the ice because he looks like a giant trying not to fall on other people and crush them • you hold hands like any other couple • “nena why is your hand so cold?” • he rubs his hands together to generate heat then holds both your hands • “better?” • he is literally the sweetest and you nod and smile at him • you two would have so much fun skating • like jokingly pushing each other a bit • but then you eventually slip • zabdiel wraps his arms protectively around you so you kind of fall on him if that makes sense • you two just lie on the ice with his arms around you • he’s so chill about it he doesn’t care who’s staring at him • “zabdi we should stand up.” • “no.” • you look at him incredulously and he smiles sweetly • “i like this.” • “but it’s cold.” • someone comes over and tells you guys to get up • zabdiel looks like he’s about to fight them but you glare at him • “te quiero zabdi, pero someone’s gonna trio over us.” • he eventually stands up and pulls you up and hugs you again • you laugh and ask him what’s up with all the hugging • “so my princesa doesn’t feel cold.” • you guys keep skating afterwards but zabdi is always finding ways to keep you warm

how funny, i refreshed my ask and you replied to my anon right on top! oh you don’t have to agree with me! i respect your opinion regardless if it matches with mine. & rereading the anon back, i could definitely see how it might seem anti-jk... which was totally unintentional! re: that comment from jimin, in context it wasn’t about how they appear to fans, it was about how they are speaking to each other, because jin’s pride was genuinely hurt by tae. i thought the whole thing was an 1/?

interesting glimpse into a side of bts we don’t get to see very often. of course, it doesn’t have to stick out to you the way it did to me, but i found it interesting to think on. i would never argue jk isn’t multifaceted & complex, nor do i think his interest in “masculine” hobbies have to contradict being traditionally “cute.” my comment was moreso about feeling like the cuteness factor got amped up wasn’t really in a broad comparison (last five years), but rather a modest comparison 2/?(last year.) specifically: post tattoo/tattoo girl scandal. especially in BV, he comments that he was nervous about the trio bc of what had just happened, feeling like he let down his fans, feeling like he had to make it up to them. i just feel like (since then) weve gotten amped up on cute jk in many ways. And this time period of difference you are speaking of is very soon after I joined the fandom, so this could be why I don’t see the changes you are talking about, as I was bombarded with all of JK’s stages of life at once as opposed to seeing it unfold over years. I sincerely hope he isn’t putting on a persona out of guilt :(

So I see these posts all over Pinterest about the Golden Trio going dark, so here's my interpretation but with just Hermionie:

Her whole Muggle life, she's been the bright one, and probably faced a lot of abuse from her classmates for it. Fast forward to Hogwarts, she faces discrimination on not one but two fronts, being hated for being smart and a Mudblood. Imagine the emotional trauma for an 11 year old. JK Rowling always painted her as rising above it, but I never really liked that concept bc it although it taught that ppl can handle whatever shit gets thrown at them, it means that she doesn't have the opportunity to develop Hermione's character on that front.

I mean the some of the first words said to her/about her from her classmates are derogatory and straight-up rude (yeah sure she can marry the guy who made her life a living hell - but that's a separate rant). Imagine coming to a world that you already know nothing about, a scary concept for a bright child, and receiving such a negative welcome.

Now imagine that starting to fester. Snape bullying her in Potions. Malfoy's snide comments from the back of the room. Ron's mutterings behind her back, and Harry not coming to her aid. They start to stick in her mind and sink into her stomach, where they blacken and rot and fester. She begins to rot. She begins to break.

She isolates herself. She isn't there to solve the Philosophers Stone riddle. She isnt there to solve the mystery of the Basilisk. Somehow the boys stumble on without her, almost like...they dont need her.

But someone does need her; someone could find her useful. Voldemort. She sees that power when she reads about the attack on the Quidditch World Cup. She finds herself thinking of all the ways it could have gone better, how she could have made it smoother. She finds herself reaching out to questionable sources, and eventually the Dark Lord himself. He is sceptical at first. What use has he for a Mudblood? But she has power, a great understanding of curses that will turn you inside out, hexes that will leave you dizzy for weeks on end. She is fragile, and unstable, like a bomb waiting to go off. But she is also determined. Determined to improve the reputation of the Mudbloods. None will ever sneer at a Muggle-born ever again, not if she has anything to do with it.

Malfoy finds himself taking orders from her in his own house.

When Voldemort attacks Hogwarts, one of its students stands with him.

She wont hurt anyone but Purebloods. But that doesnt stop her causing devastating damage. She has no love for the people in this castle. Just as they turned their back on her, so does she turn her back on them.

She coordinates the attack. Hogwarts falls.

believe it or not, there’s actually a pretty big heart in that smol angry body of his

seriously tho all the kids adore him and their parents love that he’s able to give them a break for an hour or two

tries his best to act as the mediator in the apartment, even if that means sometimes pissing off one of his two roommates

he’s probably the most understanding of the three, getting where jimin’s frustrations are coming from but knowing that tae doesn’t always really think things through

but he also hates taking sides, and that’s why he sometimes chooses to stay out of it completely

he’ll hang out at the studio and work on choreography or teaching methods to keep himself occupied

at least,,,until one of them drag him back into things to fix it
