do you say this in a "i haven't watched DD&D in so long" way, or in a "i've never actually watched any DD&D way"? because man, i used to watch so much of that show. (and i've been to several places *because* they were featured on it! i mean, how can you not.)

idk exactly how many places featured on the show are near me... I'd probably have to drive a bit of a ways to find one. curse of living in the Midwest lol. but I would love to go!

i tend to think of stan and ford as like, big city boys. but i guess if they lived on a barrier island they really couldnt be, could they?

i have a bit of an unusual question for you,

but first let me say thank you so much for your blog! i love wolves so much and learning even more about them is something i value very much!

onto my question, i see talk about rare “blue” coated grey wolves (apologies in advance for the taxidermy photos)

is this just elderly black colored wolves who have lost some of their pigment and greyed?

is it a coat only seen when wolves are molting?

what is this special and rare blue coat color??

Just like humans, wolves their fur grays as they age. This is particularly noticeable in the development of a gray or silver mask on their faces, like you can clearly see on the two photos below.

Some wolves may have naturally had a silver or grayish coat colour or hue, making it a bit more challenging to tell if the colour is caused by ageing.

huh. the idea of GF not being in Oregon is... discomforting to me.

the decision was made after discussing the fact that Oregon sees even fewer tornadoes than New Jersey. the whole AU revolves around storm chasing, so relocating Gravity Falls to an area where storm chasing may occur seemed like it would be a good idea.

esp bc there's some stuff that is currently in development in my head and on Discord re: what sort of role Bill Cipher may have in the AU. and that stuff requires severe storms (including tornadoes) to happen in Gravity Falls a lot.

(yes it is possible to keep Gravity Falls in Oregon and just have Gravity Falls be an anomaly in terms of how frequently it gets severe storms/tornadoes but then the Team would be there way more often and I wanna keep "Bill" from being found by Stan for five years)

I will say that Arkansas does have woods and mountains (Ozarks!) etc etc so while the vibes won't be the same as the show, the setting can still be similar to canon. just with hotter summers lmao.
