little idea for the mini au of Phoenix prosecutor
what if von karma somehow found out that Phoenix and Miles were friends when they were children (maybe hearing him talk about a certain Phoenix when he was a child or whatever) and upon knowing that Phoenix was going to be a prosecutor he decided to take him in as a student to have a replacement for what Edgeworth was going to be and at the same time have someone who was close to him at one point to tease him about leaving his path and his teachings when becoming a defense lawyer or something like that idk
I just want to give ideas because I like the au a lot jaja salu2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I want you to know that I was literally thinking the exact same thing…and then while I was in the middle of drawing this, @wrathofthestars said in the reblog tags basically the exact same thing BUT they also mentioned the bit about Phoenix writing Edgeworth all those letters WHICH WAS WILD BECAUSE I HAD ALREADY DRAWN THAT PAGE BEFORE THEY SAID THAT
Anyways great minds think alike
Instead of Manfred manipulating Phoenix the way he manipulated Miles (i.e. being awful, psychologically abusive, etc.), he goes the opposite route and manipulates Phoenix in a similar way to how Dahlia (and later in typical canon, how Kristoph Gavin) manipulated Phoenix (i.e. praise, attention, etc.). It’s the fastest way to get control of Phoenix and get him to trust Manfred.
Also I hate drawing this toad man 😭😭😭

The North of Gaza has been declared "successfully cleansed".
I want you all to take a long, hard look at this footage. Do not look away. Soak it in.
Those are people's homes. Schools. Hospitals. All in the North. All gone. They can never return. Nothing is salvageable. Countless bodies left under the rubble.
Look at this and try to say Israel is "defending itself."
Zionism is terrorism.

⚔️ December: D&D Party
Nikolaos has been many things throughout his life. He was a prodigy made into a soldier; he was a husband and then he was a father. A child who loses their parent is called an orphan. But what of a parent who loses their child?
And so then Nikolaos was nothing at all.

Don't tell me that destroying Konoha is wrong because there are innocents there. I was just hoping to prevent further casualties, you know. Like, future hypothetical genocides of clans that do not bootlick the government, pillage of small villages, spread of mass destruction weapons... Who knows what tragedies would ensue if we let Konoha's fascism go rampant. "Greater good" and all.

on one hand, them banning tiktok is yet again another means to control and silence ppl from sharing real-time information on situations such as Palestine. Not to mention all the people who are losing their income (this is why Patreon and supporting creators externally is important) but on the other hand?….good riddance. it’s been fuck that app for a while now.

Just to make everything clear, as an Iranian last night was full of different feelings, but the least I can say is that truth made me calm.
And what is it?
On April 1, Israel bombed the Iranian embassy in Syria. Many people DIED! Politicians and people who were in the embassy died because of Israel attack for no reason.
It's been about two weeks and finally Iran just wanted to DEFEND itself against the unreasonable attack.
Israel has been attacking Gaza or the Middle East countries for years, again for no reason.
So Iran decided to show the Israel regime that attacking innocent people and nations for no reason won't be Unanswered.
Remember that iran didn't send bombs on schools, hospitals, streets, houses or any public place where innocent people are there.
It was right that iran had to defend itself so as any county has!
In the end, I want you to think about the reaction of some countries about this situation and remember how they reacted when the Israel regime attacked innocent people on gaza or anywhere.
I'm a human and I don't want to be harmed and I don't want it for my people.
And also I want to thank anyone who is on the right side of history.

So, once again, here I am at 2 AM with another hot take, this time on Lucifer.
If you really look at it, from the very beginning of the story, Lucifer isn't that horrible to us. You might think this is my Lucifucker bias kicking in, but for the first few chapters of the story, Lucifer is somewhat amicable to us being there. Authoritative, autocratic, patronizing, kinda scary, and well, prideful (duh), but otherwise...tolerable and leaves us to our own devices, for the most part.
The only time he begins to show hostility is when he starts to suspect us of having ulterior motives for making pacts with his brothers and getting too involved in his family's business. The two times where he does attack us may seem unwarranted to the player, but narratively, makes sense in regards to Lucifer's characterization.
So yes, it's time to get ready for...
Me analyzing the two times Lucifer tried to kill the ever loving shit out of us because I'm a simp, but also one who can read (somewhat):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, let's look at Lesson 6 or the first time Lucifer tries to murder bomb us. We, the reader, know that Luke, despite his feelings towards demons, wouldn't intentionally do anything to harm the brothers and obviously, had no idea what he was holding was a grimoire. He was a lost kid who unfortunately, stumbled across something he shouldn't have touched.
Yet from Lucifer's perspective, he sees an angel (beings who he's shown to hold bias against...for obvious reasons) trying to "steal" the very book that if in the wrong hands, could put his entire family in danger, along with the human who's protecting him (who he's shown to be already skeptical of), and his own brother, who hid the angel in their very home and allowed him the opportunity to do so.
Right now, he's not looking at the situation like we are because we already have that information. We know why Luke is in the underground tomb. We know why Beelzebub tried to hide him. But for Lucifer, all he sees is the enemy invading his home. This is the first time we see Lucifer enraged past the point of reason, so much so that if not for Diavolo, he would've killed MC.
Remember the beginning title of Lesson 6: There Are Some Wounds Time Can't Heal. Lucifer's reaction may not have been logical to us, yet considering what we learned about the secret room, about the brothers being former angels and fighting in the Celestial War and Lilith's death from Beelzebub two chapters earlier, it was logical to Lucifer and Lucifer alone. It doesn't excuse him from doing it, but it's an important part of his characterization and purposely done to show how these events still affect him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The same is true with Lesson 12. Lucifer tries to straight up dead us again, yet only after learning that we disobeyed his warnings about going up into the attic and conversed with Belphegor. Add that with him finally beginning to trust us (even developing small hints of a crush, flirting with us more than once) and the rather heartwarming bonding moment before it and Lucifer's trust is completely broken. Considering we learn later on why Belphegor was locked in the attic and what really happened to Lilith, Lucifer's reaction is not surprising. Not great, but not surprising.
It's then you begin to understand the basis of Lucifer's rage. Before making his vow to Diavolo, Lucifer states that whether demon or angel, he will always stay true to his convictions. Right then and there, we see what truly matters to Lucifer. His love for Lilith, his family. Even if it means sacrificing his pride and serving Diavolo. Even if it means becoming the bad guy to his brothers. He did, especially with the lack of options, what was necessary to save his sister. In turn, said decision also saved his brothers.
And so we see that the only two times where Lucifer is ready to attack is due to the perceived threat against his family, going so far as to risk Diavolo's goals of uniting the three realms not once, but twice, something that he surely knows the consequences for.
So yeah, I write all that to say that you can dislike Lucifer all you want. You can argue about how he punishes his brothers, especially Mammon. You can argue how he's a stubborn ass with the emotional communication skills of a sun-dried turd. You can argue that he's too subservient to Diavolo, to the point where he takes for granted his brothers wishes or feelings (arguments in which I do have opposing opinions on, but to do so will make this post longer than it needs to be).
Yet to call him evil is to ignore so many pieces of his characterization that shows otherwise. How vulnerable he can be, how affectionate, how silly, how he truly loves his brothers and will go out of his way for them, etc.
But to call him good isn't quite right either since well...he has no qulams about killing people, threatening them, attacking his siblings in a rage induced tantrum, lying, locking people in attics...
He's the well-intentioned extremist. The lawful evil. The noble demon. A rabid dog who snaps and barks at the slightest threat but pet him once and tell him he's a good boy and he'll melt in your hand.
Like, I know this shit is long, and I could go even further, but for now I'm going to defend the fact that Lucifer is just...he's a good character, ok? A good, complicated, mess of a character.
And I absolutely love him for it.

(another) Thing that annoys me about the Cap movies:
We never got to see the scene where Steve & Co found out about the torture and mind-control used on Bucky.
Because that should’ve been super important!
It would have vindicated Steve’s faith in him, proved Bucky’s victimhood and innocence, and turned Nat and Sam 100% around on whether or not Bucky was worth helping (whether or not it was worth them apparently wasting years of their lives helping Steve to find him).
They’re supposed to have been:
A) hunting down the remains of Hydra for years,
B) familiarising themselves with all the Hydra info Nat dumped at the end of of CATWS, and
C) hunting for Bucky-related information specifically amongst all that.
Meaning they absolutely cannot have avoided finding, for example, all the places Bucky was tortured in, the specialised enhanced torture equipment (impossible to mistake for that used on a non-supersoldier), cells he was held in, all the specialised physical restraints, tailored for an enhanced person with a cyborg arm, documentation of his torture, witness testimony from surviving Hydra mooks at the Triskelion, etc., and seeing it firsthand.
And for some of that time, they know Hydra had access to a magic mind-control stick, courtesy of Loki, and an enhanced person who can control minds (Wanda).
So even if Steve didn’t find evidence of Bucky’s mind-control early on in his search, he and Natasha definitely do know that mind-control is possible (especially Natasha, given her roots in the Red Room and the fact that her bff was mind-controlled.)
Even if you ignored Nat and Sam’s personal backstories, which preclude both of them from being dismissive of a victim (a veteran who suffered a fall, a mind-controlled Russian ‘assassin’), it doesn’t make sense for Nat and Sam to still be trying to suggest Steve step back from helping Bucky, the way they do in CW.
They cannot still be ignorant of what was done to Bucky, when they have been specifically investigating what was done to Bucky, and all that information has to have been impossible for them to avoid!
Instead of which, the movie just skips right over the reveal to Steve and Sam of the mind control (going straight from ‘scene of mind-control’ to ‘scene of Steve being skeptical (which he shouldn’t and wouldn’t be)’ to ‘scene of talking about trigger words already’). Casually implying that either Steve and Sam already knew about it, or that Bucky has just explained it to them...
But only off-camera.
And yet, Sam is still salty and scornful of Bucky’s innocence (even when they have just seen mind-control happening, Bucky is suffering amnesia of WS acts in front of him, apparently just told him about mind-control, and then proves that he has his pre-war memories).
So they imply the content of skipped scenes but then have characters act in ways that are... irrational, given the skipped content??
Makes no damn sense!

*Kung Lao’s attempts at flirting #4*
Kung Lao: Hey Raiden, do you think you could help me solve this riddle?
Raiden: Of course, Kung Lao. What does it say?
Kung Lao: Well, it says we have to add a bed, subtract clothing, divide the legs and start multiplying. *wink*
Raiden: *blushing furiously*
Kenshi: *claps his hands over Raiden’s ears after smacking a gaping Johnny upside the head*
Johnny Cage: *rubbing his head* What? That one was good!
