Bayverse Bumblebee- 10/10

Bayverse was what got me into the franchise and solidified Bumblebee as my forever favorite and love of my life so I definitely have a special regard for him

I don’t think the series did him justice as the leader at the start but he did get there in the end. Also the art style change from TFP was a bit weird to get used to. All around a sweet heart goofball though

I’ve seen people’s take on the ages of the MM turtles (Leo’s the oldest, Mikey’s the oldest, Raph and Mikey are twins, etc) and here’s MY TAKE:

They’re quadruplets

Look I don’t know about you guys but for once in my time in the fandom I’ve truly felt they’re the same age (or relatively on the maturity level). It could be the teenager/pre-teen VAs, but I don’t get the same ‘they’re different ages’ energy from the MM boys.

Like although Leo’s the anxious one I don’t get the feeling he’s the most anxious because he’s the oldest and the leader and blah blah blah. He’s just a teen full of anxiety.

And Mikey doesn’t feel like the youngest to me (because the scene he had with talking about the watermelon being like his head) but not like the oldest either (because he’s equally fooling around with Raph and Donnie). He’s isn’t some young goofball baby of the family but not a cool oldest sibling either.

And same thing with Raph and Donnie. Donnie for more obvious reasons mostly because the VA I’m gonna be honest but just his general demeanor. He feels like a teenager who happens to be smart, not someone who’s smart but happens to be a teenager.

And Raph doesn’t give me ‘edgy wishes to be leader roughy guy’ he’s just a jock teen who wants to do sports. He doesn’t give off the same ‘second oldest’ energy all the other Raphs (minus Rise Raph) have.

TL;DR: It could just be the VAs and the fact we only got a few scenes in the trailer, but I don’t feel like the MM boys have like ‘youngest to oldest’ energies like most TMMT incarnations do. When I compare them side-by-side they all just feel like quadruplets with different personalities.

(I am sorry in advance, because you unlocked a ramble I've had in me since I saw Zoro and realised that Oda looked at the Cool Manga Dude Archetype and said "no" and made our Mossball capable of wide, wide smiles (which are apparently lost post-timeskip but that I ignore, I am not looking, I am still pre-timeskip, I am soaking every smile and grin) 300+ chapters in and I still am riding the high of love at first sight, when it comes to OP. one day I might find flaws but for now it is perfection incarnate 😂😂😂)

it's true that when Sanji gets more spicy, what makes his reaction tolerable is how the girls just shrug it off. they care not! they feel safe around him! Nami pranced around him in bikini, and our boy was more interested at first in flowers 😭

I absolutely adore the story and the characters! and the writing! I've cried like a baby while reading OP more times than I've had while consuming any other media. it just hits you in the heart with sniper accuracy ❤😭 and then makes you cackle like a witch. rinse and repeat. i love it.

(reactions still dictated by the story up to the very start of Impel Down) I'm still trying to fully put my finger on what exactly makes me love OP that much but I think that what gets is how much trust there is between the characters. how easy they love each other. (Zoro and Luffy? dear god, they are so good. 100% trust.) and how silly they can get. It's rare that I love absolutely everybody, yet here I am: I'm collecting my silly little boys and girls like pokemon. I will catch em all. gimme more.

I cannot get enough how emotive the characters are. when they smile it lits up the sky. when they cry I cry with them. when they goof off I watch them fondly but when shit hits the fan, I read with baited breath how my silly little goobers get serious. there is a whole rainbow of emotions and I adore it.

(Sorry for taking so long to answer! this month went by extremely fast ;v;UUu if i take too long to reply you can talk to me privately too, i don't mind!)

Oda writes characters so well, that even in their comical exaggeration, still feel like real people to me. Everything is for a reason, even the dumbness (that i absolutely love xD it's just amazing to me that even that has its reasons and wraps so well with everything)

And yes, sadly the Anime really kills characterization... Nami and Sanji's relationship is completely changed. They are not really friends in the Anime. Nami is not kind, ever, and Sanji is just interested in her as a sexy object. They are not friendly with each other... when in the Manga is obvious that they are friendly and chill most of the time.

Sanji adores her, yes, but in the Manga he is not just there to be her slave and please her. He has dreams and a beautiful relationship with Luffy too, something that the Anime decides to completely erase from existence...

The Anime transforms all the characters into one note (the one that they decide is funny for children or to sell merch): Nami is the girl who only screams and hits the others, Sanji is just the pervert idiot who fights all the time, Luffy is just an ugly goofball with nothing between his ears, Zoro is serious guy who is the comical relief and screams all the time, Chopper is a baby, Robin is a mysterious woman (who gets jealous of Chopper paying attention to other women)... etc etc etc

They are so reduced to this roles, that when something they can not edit out of the original story (because it's an pivot point in the story) happens, it even looks out of character!

Of course a lot of this is also amped up by the amount of continuous filler the Anime has, where they just butcher the characters even more...

It's a lot of work and as you see I am a slow writer xDu but I really want to get deeper into writing about how the differences matter a lot.

Hiiiii I just need to vent to a fellow Mammon lover, but like I've seen hundreds of NSFW headcanons about the brothers and how good they are about sex and stuff and everyone is above 8 ALWAYS and there's Mammon they always give him like 6 or 7 out 10 and finishing faster than light and honestly not to be biased but Mammon is canonically good at everything he does and tries, just because he's a goofball everyone thinks he's automatically stupid and bad a stuff, so I can bet my sweet butt that under all the goofyness and clumsiness Mammon is a fucking sex god *drops mic* ... *takes mic again* and I also headcanon that he's a switch but also a soft service dom and no one can't change my mind, I rest my case *drops mic again*

I looked through a few scenes of Lucifer in Hazbin Hotel - mainly because I have my own character based off of Lucifer myself who's also a bit of a goofball - and I wasn't expecting Lucifer to be so... Desperate? For his daughter's attention. IIRC, the Pilot had Charlie not get bother to contact him, and instead wait for him to call for her when he was 'bored'. To be honest, even without the context of the show, I do love the two songs Lucifer gets, and I'm kind of half-hoping he appears a bit more to solidify more of the common role he usually does.

As for my own character based off of Lucifer... Well, let's just say insults just scramble in his ear, but he has a drive to be a bit of a perfectionist. If he doesn't do something right once, 95% of the time he gives up on it, with only the 5% being him actually practicing. Though in my version of using Angels and Demons and whatnot he's one of a set of septuplets, so...

Yeah, Lucifer was a bit weird. Dare I say... written to subvert expectations in a forced way? He's noticeably short in a cast full of noodly people, apparently has depression which is the reason he spends his time making rubber ducks (instead of, you know, ruling), and he's even more socially awkward than his daughter?

In short, there is no way you can tell this dude has an important role in Hell, let alone that he's the King. And I don't know if this is just the joke, or if he deliberately chooses to portray himself like this, much like Charlie chooses to be kind to a fault.

I do like how he comes off in the second half of the episode, though. He's cynical, hurt by his experiences with Heaven, but he used to be a dreamer and an inspiration for Charlie. And in the pilot, Charlie does say that her dad taught her to not take shit from other demons, and apparently he's the reason she's wise enough to not make a deal with Alastor. He clearly knows his subjects lol.

Also his behavior is... sadly familiar. That is, he yearns for his daughter's love, but doesn't really do much to earn it. He doesn't call often, doesn't keep up with her life, doesn't even know she had a SO let alone her sexuality... It could be that something (or someone...) is preventing him to grow closer to her. Or that Charlie believes that her dad doesn't want to do with her (again, because of someone...). Or it's just a case of miscommunication.

In short, I want to know more of him, which I take as a success from the writers.

Anyway. Lucifer is supposed to incarnate the sin of Pride. And Pride can make you a perfectionist :^) so I like the direction you're going with!

Who are these schmucks that come up with these bizarre, inane nitpicks about Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon) being a Mary Sue? I swear it's becoming a slur for a "female character from a medium I dislike/don't care" or "female character who isn't my favorite/bestie". Even as the ULTIMATE Sailor Moon, Eternal, Usagi still has her work cut out for her given her struggles with Galaxia and her minions DESPITE being at the maximum power. What type of Mary Sue goes through what she does in Sailor Stars?

Sailor Cosmos (who may or MAY NOT even be Usagi), another ultimate iteration of Sailor Moon, might not live or succeed in defeating the Big Evil in her time period. She flees to Usagi's time to avoid the aforementioned conflict because she's SCARED and has lost EVERYONE she knows. Another powerful version of Sailor Moon demonstrating her own LIMITATIONS and despite becoming more powerful she STILL faces the risk of losing/getting killed. Then you have Neo Queen Serenity, goddess incarnate.

She's easily caught off guard and "defeated" (not really but you get the point) by the Black Moon and Crystal Tokyo is brought on its knees. If she were a damn Mary Sue Usagi Tsukino, Sailor Moon, future would be Neo Queen Serenity would be INFALLIABLE. NO ITERATION OF SAILOR MOON, EVEN THE MOST POWERFUL ONES, HAVE EVER SHOWN TO BE INFALLIABLE.

I'm really still trying to wrap my head around her being called a Mary Sue which been going on for years. It really ramped up when Crystal come out which I was like " what the fuck??" It's so wild to me for a character that has so many faults that are constantly on display but gets development as the story progresses to be call a Mary Sue. Which I really think it does translate to " I don't like this character so I'm just going to call her a Mary Sue even tho they are the compete opposites of a Mary Sue."

Because a Mary Sue is a character that has zero faults/flaws and do shit perfectly . They honestly borderline doesn't have a personality at all.

Usagi doesn't do shit perfectly by a fucking long shot. She fucks up but she dust herself off and keep going.

The reason why Usagi have been relatable for 30 something years because of the fact she starts off as a clumsily,lazy, crybaby also can be a goofball with a heart of gold who doesn't know what the fuck she is doing (that actually her crying become one of her attacks )and we still her grow into this mature young warrior that will protect the earth and people she loves by even giving up her life to do it.

So what she has a powerful artifact that she know how to wield?

She did just get the Silver Crystal and wielded it perfectly the first damn try. She got better with it as she become a better warrior until she pretty much a Goddess at the end of the series.

So what she has friends who love her and she's desirable?

She has a damn good heart and she's pretty much the damn glue of the group. They would fall apart if it wasn't for her.

Like I said in my previous post , Princess Serenity 90’s version is more closer to a Mary Sue because how they was trying to prove perfect and maturer she was to Usagi that she comes off having no personality.

They went on and on about how graceful beautiful and mature she was and how different her and Usagi were. Which Usagi needs to look and act like more like a Princess...

Like Ok she can ice skate in her dress, dance graceful in at ball, and she can pick flowers with her mom but that’s it.

Nothing interesting about her at all.

Nothing else about her that had any irking that if it wasn’t was the pressure of being a princess that she would be almost like Usagi.

That was the only wreckless and rebellious thing she did was to jump off that balcony to join Endymion and got killed. Because really didn’t even emphasize the fact that she supposed to sneaked down to earth a couple times like her manga/ Crystal counterpart. It made it feel like that Endymion was the one doing all the sneaking and not the both them which she supposed to sneaked down to earth first.

We had a bunch of episodes in the 90’s anime trying to prove that Usagi was not a mature or elegant as Serenity when it was revealed that she was Serenity .Because the simple fact they always hype Serenity's “ perfect” traits and always highlight Usagi’s negative traits.

Four Episodes

36- With her changing her hair to be more princess like.

37- With her going to princess school which the only thing she was good at was Frisbee throwing. She wasn’t good at dancing at which Ami and Mako was. Mina and Rei was also not good at dancing.

38- With her entering a Princess Skiing completion in which Rei was good at skiing.

39- Her trying to Ice skate because Serenity did it but Mako was good at ice skating as well.

But no other version of Princess Serenity is like that all .

Like a little off topic but I'm about to wrap this up it's a book I'm reading right now I'm thinking about DNFing because of the fact the main character is pretty much a Mary Sue.

Like she really have zero personality at all and I supposed to be in her head caring about her and I'm like " Can the author PLEASE develop her and her friends already?" Like she supposed to have empathic powers and seeing dreams of a past civilization on the moon ( Yes it's based of off Sailor Moon which is the reason why I'm reading it.) but is so damn bland with barely no world building. There is a side character that supposed to be her best friend that has more personality than she do but she is still bland. I mean they come from Hawaii to Japan to study in Japan and it's nothing interesting about them at all. Then she bought on three other girls so it be five girls and I barley know anything about them. Like two of girls one come from London who is blonde and the other come from Sydney who is Brunette and that's all to their character which I'm like 30% in. The other one is could be interesting since she supposed to be half black/half Japanese and want to study Biology. To top it all all none of the characters have last names at all. Then the love interests is pretty much a Mamoru rip off because he has dark hair but he lost both of his parents on his 7th birthday ( not the 6th). It's self publish so I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt but it's bad.

I hate calling characters Mary Sue but when they have no personality and it's not about me liking or disliking because not having nothing for me to like or dislike. They are just there.

So I just hate the fact Usagi being called a Mary Sue because she is far from being one.

Well guess what?

MEET STELLA!

The ORIGINAL Chaos Incarnate.

Long before Jest's birth lived Stella, a very silly goofball with a big heart. She worked in a travelling circus of sorts and brought smiles to loads of faces, one in particular, Bloodmoon, having ended up marrying her. Here's her in her little jester outfit (Still fits her!).

After reuniting with her child after literal YEARS, she's become very supportive of their relationship with Order. Maybe even TOO supportive, especially for Order to deal with. It overwhelms her a bit, but she's glad Stella's a supportive and caring parent unlike a certain SOMEONE WHO'S A TERRIBLE FATHER-

Anyways, she's also technically a God of Chaos rather than just the Incarnate of it. Yes, Gods exist in IOI. Most of the time, Stella's at these God meetings with others such as Circe, Zeus and Kronos, which means, although living with Jest and Order now, she's still usually out of the house and busy. When she does have free time however, she goes NUTS with it. Just take it from Order here!

She's nice and all, but I already had to deal with Jest's chaotic self. THIS just feels like Jest duplicated themselves or something, and as you can expect, having two chaotic people with little ability to think before acting and very loud, energetic personalities, as well as double the risk of burning the house down is...NOT...Very fun.

Overall, she's a really sweet lady and wants the best for her child. Order's a bit mixed about her but still likes how nice she is and considers her a good mom.

Welp that was that, time to not post about IOI for another straight set of weeks.

demi's also one of my favorites bc she's so genuinely funny like. her pieces of dialogue are so much fun to write bc she reminds me of my friends!! she also is a huge spider-man nerd which is AWESOME

First Impression

-Originally I thought Aiyon would have a sort of Ivan and Eric demeanor with his character. Pretty valiant and upbeat but deadly on the battlefield, the type of guy who wouldn't hesitate to smile when kicking your ass in a fight like..."I'm gonna beat the shit out of you but also make jokes just to show how I'm leagues away in power than you".

Impression Now

-Gay as hell, a bit witty with jokes but can always be there for you when needed. Definitely a victim of the writing playing him down sadly but he's still lovable and needs a bunch of hugs.

Favorite Moment

-Definitely his debut when he was soloing Brineblast and the mixture of water and electricity just...man it was awesome.

Idea For A Story

-he's a lucky spirit trapped in a pandora's box like contraption and Ollie uses the wishes, thing is each wish brings about a change into the universe which they have to salvage.

Favorite Relationship

-Aiyon/Ollie together is really nice, need more interactions with them.

-I know it's usually one pairing but imagine this BROtp....Aiyon/Mesogog, a monstrous dude that was to bring dinosaurs back and hates humans meets this goofball who actually has met dinos and isn't human, becomes easily attached. Solon approves.

Favorite Headcanon

-Aiyon was an orphan that was part of a band of rough but skilled sellswords working for an aristocratic royal family on Rafkon but took them down after they executed his group in cold blood. He has a secret power inherited via rafkonian mystics based on gold and luck because he's the incarnation of an ancient Rafkonian legend(a golden dragoon like deity) and works to assassinate every higher up within the universal alliances, a vigilante that despises some of the order that old empires had before they were dismantled years later. I'm talking like BAD, Aiyon puts what Dark Spector and Astronema did to shame and the thing is that part of him is only known via a nameless legend from millions of years ago, he used to be the deadliest assassin within the cosmos that even Zordon and Vile held a sweat at the mention of Aiyon's title. No one knew his identity but with a run in with Zayto the two fought on a literal dying star when the knight was ordered to find said fugitive, Zayto took Aiyon down but spared him since it was obvious Aiyon just wanted to change the corrupt order of the universe at the time and after hiding his past and changing his title Aiyon joined Zayto and became a rafkonian knight in hope to do more justice for the future. It's unclear but it's estimated his kill count is in the trillions as there were a lot of crazy higher ups running rampant...Aiyon here is one of the strongest rangers and wouldn't hesitate to revert back to his old self if the Morphin Masters didn't get their shit together by the end of Dino Fury, Zedd better sleep with one eye open.

Shredder, Karai, and Tokka and Rahzar: Very much like in the TMNT II film, they were taken from a zoo and mutated; them being a wolf and alligator snapping turtle, (opposed to Ralph, him being a common snapping turtle). At a later point in this interpretation of the series, w/ the reveal of Shredder’s gender, and Karai enters the picture, the two are “born” so to speak. Identical to the film, they misinterpreted Shredder’s words, “Master” as “Mamma”. Imprinting on her, showing total obedience. Only tolerating the two idiot infant minded mutants as their great strength is an attribute to her clan worth the idiocy. Despite the species difference, Tokka and Rahzar see one another as siblings. Both being roughly the same age, mentally. Here’s where things start to get shaken up. At some point, Shredder orders Karai to chaperone the two, the three serving as a B-Team in a sense, and making small talk (being about the extent of the two’s dialect), Rahzar innocently ask if Shredder is her “Mamma” too. Karai says that yes, Shredder is her mother. Tokka and Rahzar glance at each other, “Si-si-sis-tha.” They say. And just like with Shredder, they embrace Karai repeatedly saying “sistha”. Over the course of their time together, Karai does indeed start to warm up to the two and see the dummies as her little siblings, weirdly enough. Tokka and Rahzar are highly defensive of her. Following her command and lead, as they would with a big sister. The two, Karai and Shredder are meant to be a sort of twisted, dark reflection to the Turtles’ family dynamic. Here being an abusive household, rather than a healthy one. Utroms and Kraang: Long ago, the Utroms and Kraang were once a civilization where both entities were of equal grounds, but as time passed and their technological advancements bloomed greatly, the Kraangs’ ego went to their heads and soon saw themselves as the superior thinkers to their lesser relatives and their own higher intellectual status and larger cranium. Now the Utroms serves as the roustabouts and workforce of the Kraangs. Handling all the machinery and work handed to them by the Kraang. Because of this mindset they began conquering other planets and place them under their rule of the Kraang. Many revolutions rose and fell over the millennia, w/ several Utroms siding with the planets they were conquering. Those that didn’t simply self exiled, escaping their home world and fleeing to the farthest corner of the galaxy, earth, assimilating into human society. All hoping that the Kraang wouldn’t reach their spot on the Milky Way. Renet the Time Mistress: Is mostly in character w/ previous incarnations. Where she originates is unclear and never explained: she either claims to be from the far off future, an alternate timeline of the future, invented time travel herself and is from the present day, or from an alternate dimension called: The Time-ension. No one really knows. Energetic, immature, clumsy, brash and a goofball. When Renet visits the turtles, she usually hangs out w/ Mikey and Casey as she finds the two the most fun to hang out with; and they find her time bending abilities cool. Triceratons: To go along with my interpretation of the Triceratons, being quadrupeds w/ artificial limbs, a 2nd dinosaurian alien race, the Pteranotons. A highly intellectual pterosaurian group that share the same goals and ideals as the brutish three-horned dinos. Inspiration being the Mahars, and that species of arboreal pterosaur w/ the pseudo thumb discovered not too long ago.
