S2 Episode 8 (I, Mudd) Garfield guess who’s here? Please tell me it’s not Mudd. It’s Mudd.

Commence:

- Why are him and Spock just walking the halls together. If I was the crew I’d be going livid, like get this: there’s these two men who are head of the science and medical staff on the ship and they fucking hate each other, they fight all over the ship constantly and you’ve seen them at odds a gazillion times. One day you’re walking the halls to get to your station and you just see them walking together, talking normally, and one of them is even smiling in a sort of fond way. My jaw would drop honestly

- They’re already fighting.. it took less than 30 seconds

- This guy’s on a mission! I wonder who he could be?

- “Mr. Spock we seem to be taking an unscheduled ride” “Interesting.” Spock does not give a fuck about your dramatics, Kirk

- Spock looks at the guy who stops Kirk and just thinks “fuck, McCoy was right.”

- LMAO the electronics in him look like smt from doctor who

- I love Uhura and Chekov almost bumping into the android

- oh god this guy again (Mudd)

- “Jamie boy.” That- that barely even makes sense

- Kirk what is that stance

- “And you’re all going to be here, uh, quite probably for the rest of your lives. *evil laugh*”Spock and McCoy are unconcerned

- Okay I think McCoy is just lording it over Spock that he was right

- Okay there’s a certain joviality that I appreciate to the back and forth of Mudd explaining and Kirk, McCoy, and Spock all interrupting

- this is the greatest line in all of Star Trek

- Kirk: Well, opinions?

Chekov: I think we’re in a lot of trouble

Kirk: That’s a great help, Mr. Chekov. Bones?

McCoy: Well, I think Mr. Chekov’s right. We are in a lot of trouble

Kirk: Spock? And if you say we’re in a lot of trouble…

Spock: We are.

Kirk then gets the most defeated look on his face

- Scotty coming in hot and cursing out Mudd

- CHEKOV DONT FUCK THE ANDROIDS

- Kirk is like an angry small dog

- “No, lord Mudd.” “Wuuut??” Good line delivery

- “How do you know so much?” “I asked them.” “Oh.” Wait wait wait, this is simple deduction. Deduction? Sherlock. Holmes and Watso? MCCOY AND SPOCK AS HOLMES AND WATSON!!! Oh wait Data and Geordi did that..

- “Now listen, Spock, you may be a wonderful science officer, but believe me you couldn’t sell fake patents to your mother!” “I fail to understand why I should care to induce my mother to purchase falsified patents.” I love this man

- The name is doctor practice. Mal practice.

- uhura no! WAIT UHURA YES IM SO PROUD. I love how happy they all are

- hi hello what the fuck is happening. What are they celebrating. How did Kirk convince McCoy and Scotty to do that?

- The androids flirting with Spock. Kirk and the rest have to dance whereas Spock is just causing drama “I love you. But I hate you.” “But we’re identical.” *blows up*

- They’re gonna paradox Norman

- Them imitating phasers takes the cake. I think if I ever show anyone an example episode it would be this one

- “he’s dead.” Damn no Jim. Second time Scotty’s ‘died’ this season

- This is like watching Shakespeare

- I would not be surprised if this episode was inspired by children playing make believe (honestly really genius and fun writing)

- Oooh they’re paradoxing him

- “I aM nOt prOgrAmMeD to reSpoNd in thAt aRea.” The fucking sass. Kirk has been spending too much time with Spock and Bones

- “Which I find eminently satisfactory, Doctor, for nowhere, am I so desperately needed as among a shipload of illogical humans.” Basically Spock loves them and there’s nowhere he’d rather be

- Kirk hates Mudd so much, it’s almost bitchy at this point

- Uhura’s wave to Mudd is so iconic and amazing

Okay one of my favourite episodes, if not my favourite actually. I loved more of the bridge crew interaction (no sulu☹️) especially getting to see Uhura, like I wanna talk more about her character but there’s so little that I’m just trying to pick up the crumbs.

This might be a dumb question, but what's wrong with the people who headcanon Crissy as a lesbian or Eddie as gay? (Talking about your latest post). I swear I don't mean this in a rude way

I personally head canon almost everyone without explicitly stated sexualities as bi because that's what I am and that's what I relate with. I haven't seen the latest (I'm not sure what it is exactly, a book I think?) About Eddie and his past, but I was just confused about your post.

I swear I'm not trying to come off as rude and give you anon hate, I just like looking at your posts and reblogs and don't want you to block me if I end up coming off as rude. If I do I'm really really sorry, I'm genuinely curious about why you think those headcanon are a red flag

its not the headcanons themselves thats a red flag. like i dont give a fuck if you think characters are gay or lesbian thats not the issue. what triggers a red flag in my brain about those particular sexualities for those characters is the st*ddie of it all and how that side of the fandom cannot be normal about those (or any) characters. ESPECIALLY when when you have eddie and chrissy being flirty on screen, you have grace and joe confirming as much, eddie dedicates his big hero moment to chrissy...and people wanna claim theyre gay/lesbian. its suspicious. i think grace has even come out and said she headcanons chrissy as bi. and like obviously actors headcanons dont equate canon (unless they explicitly say thats how they were playing a certain scene, like i think joe said he played his scene with grace in the forest as more flirty than it was written? dont quote me on that im not keeping up with these people lmao)

also the way that its like... wanting your faves to be gay, i get that. i also headcanon a lot of my fave characters as bi (because they be actin bi but thats besides the point! lmao). but ive also never fucked with labeling characters as gay/lesbian when they have established love interests of the opposite sex in a show. chrissy got herself a boyfriend AND whatever the fuck is going on with eddie, so to sit there and be like "shes a lesbian!" ... just say its because yall are looking for a reason to make st*ddie more plausible in your heads

and the crazy thing is none of this is even real! like yall do not need to be doing these backward jumps and gymnastics just ship your ship damn

after the shit show that happened after season 4? i trust no bitch. everything got a fishy smell to it

stranger things s4 hit us again with the "explicitely labelling a person as schizophrenic and then making them be creepy and dangerous" no it still doesnt matter that this person is not actually schizophrenic and they are telling the truth according to context and fantasy, thats not the point. this is still sanism. they could have said "old and crazy" "mentally ill" but they SPECIFICALLY chose schizophrenia, once again, to utilize sanist horror tropes that schizophrenics are dangerous and creepy. they could have written Viktor Creel as a traumatized (and maybe weird) but harmless and kind old man who the protagonists have compassion and sympathy for. but their cinematography, writing, set, prosthetics show otherwise. if they wanted to write him as being a creepy and borderline dangerous person Dont Call Him Schizophrenic. be vague, call him something else. the writers arent stupid, they knew what they were doing here.

im also not a huge fan of them making said character be eyeless due to a suicide attempt and then being like "look so creepy." hey man! blindness and suicide attempts are not creepy. not great to associate a person who is blind due to trauma with horror and danger. once again using an ableist trope that disabled bodies are inherently scary looking. the scariest looking thing about him being eyeless is that he clearly doesnt have proper healthcare...

so is sanism that, although they have so far not said "psycho/psychotic/etc" that much compared to last season, They Have Still Said It!

its actually really easy to not be sanist ableist racist and antisemetic on a professional team of writers! its actually really fuckin easy. its really easy to have schizophrenic and disabled characters and treat them with compassion like Normal People, rather than objectifying them for Le Scary.

btw if ur takeaway from this post is "but the audience knows hes not schizophrenic and hes telling the truth, therefore this criticism is invalid" u have missed the point entirely & also i really dont want to hear it. im schizophrenic, im saying its bad and i have explained why. telling me "Actually, This Isnt Bad" ur talking over schizophrenic people about things we specifically experience and you do not! dont tell me its fine that the ONLY representation we get in media is that we're scary and dangerous. its not. i have PERSONALLY experienced the fallout of "schizophrenia Creepy Danger" in real life multiple times.

you can still like stranger things. i still like it. i think it has a cool premise, and im gonna keep watching it (im too invested LOL) infact i identify a lot with eleven's past of being a lab experiment, which i think ive talked about before. being critical of media and being aware of its issues doesnt mean you NEED to hate it or denounce it. you can if you want to, i have friends who hate ST because of this and other issues. if the sanism bugs you too much, dont watch it. if you still like the show afterwards, who cares? just be critical of it. understand its bad representation. dont let whats happening on-screen effect how you view and treat real people. if you notice it does, get that shit in line.

when you watch scenes like this, ask "is Viktor Creel a good representation of schizophrenic people? would my good internet friend and best dog ever, babydog, behave this way if it was telling me it's trauma or delusions?" (hint: this entire blog is dedicated to re-telling my trauma and delusions! i have not once been creepy or dangerous about it)

So, a couple of Scaramouche/Faruzan gameplay clips have been leaked:

The first one has better quality, but the second showcases how they interact with enemies. I wonder if i'll still need Kazuha if i have him? Because his current attacks feel like a fusion of him and Xiao, but maybe with weaker crowd control, since i didnt see the mushrooms get dragged in much. I'm unsure about his auto attacks while in the air though, it feels like they go too far away to hit anything. (Also is that a new stamina bar? Is it a separate one for the skill or is it the normal one but in blue?)

I love hatsune miku's Faruzan's D20 burst thing, but i dont like bow characters that much and it might take me a while to get used to her playstyle. I assume fading twilight might be a good bow for her, but that's just me guessing and im not good st this game lol

Also i dont think either of them are made to swirl, i think we might have to start looking for some Anemo DMG goblets...

OK OK OK OK. I MEANT TO GET TO THIS SOONER BUT THEN I GOT CARRIED AWAY WITH SOME ZINES AND SOME OTHER PROJECTS. BUT, I just finished speedrunning the game for my sibling to catch them up, Future Redeemed comes out tomorrow, I am Not A Normal Person About This Game.

Spoilers below, not particularly thought out bc i've given myself a headache from finishing the game and sobbing my eyes out again as of 3 hours ago

I. Genuinely have a lot of thoughts and they've changed a bit since it was announced and the subsequent trailers we've had, as well as refreshing myself on XBC1 and XBC2 lore since then. I will start with my joke theory, For the longest time I had a joke that boiled down to "Alvis is Riku and he's really enjoying larping as a nopon rn." Why the fuck would that nopon know so much. NOW, I'm more in the "give me the name of your god you nopon piece of shit." who is this fucker loyal to. IS IT MELIA? IM P SURE ITS MELIA. BUT LIKE. STILL WHO TF IS HE. WHY DOES HE KNOW SO MUCH. WHAT HAS HE BEEN UP TO.

Also! I'm not actually sure how I'm feeling on this game being a prequel! I'm not fully convinced it is yet even though thats EXACTLY what it looks like. Part of me really wants an epilogue to the base game's story or at MOST something that is running concurrently. It's not that I dislike prequels, I LOVED torna i've genuinely played torna all the way through upwards of 6 times by now. It's just really enjoyable. I just kinda wanna know what happens...AFTER the plot. But I'm not gonna be DISAPPOINTED if it genuinely turns out to be a prequel.

Madly in love with A's design, I think someone may have transed their gender =w=

Jokes/wishful thinkin aside, I wonder if Ontos will be playing a role in this. Alvis claims to be from a long line of seers, I wondered if maybe the Processor that is Ontos has just been spitting out random entities and A + the mystery White Alvis are just consequences. I wanna know how Z ties into that. I also wanna know where everyone..IS. Like, where is Fiora or Reyn, or Pyra and Mythra, or even fucking Morag or Tora. No mention of them, so i'm curious to know...why. Shulk is clearly Shulk here, and Rex is clearly Rex, If they aren't part of the cycle there HAS to be an explanation as to how they're in Aionios and what happened to everyone else, right?

I'm excited to see what's up on that front though. I refuse to believe that Alvis has become evil, not because I think it's implausible, but just because i dont want that evil Alvis to be Alvis because his concept art is WHITE. My opinions on Alvis being DIRECTLY Ontos have shifted to being a bit more..flexible on the concept because of A and the revealed mystery character, but in my heart he's still directly Ontos and I hope the Shalvis Divorce Arc ends happily.

Wishful thinking, of course, is that i'd like to see the Trinity Processors reunited in some way, shape, or form. I love joking about Aegis Sibling Family Reunions/Learning Where tf Ontos is, but I'll admit the ending of xbc2 is a bit ambiguous on what exactly happens with Logos and Pneuma and how that relates to Ontos OR the continued existence of Pyra and Mythra. I'll actually be really sad if there's no way they can be reunited/bummed if something's happened to Pyra and Mythra as of a result of the ending of xbc2. I just kinda want Malos to get a minor redemption arc or st least know if the Logos and Pneuma cores of the Trinity Processor was relevant at all.

BUT YEAH. IM SO EXCITED. VERY, VERY EXCITED. I'm sad this is the end of the Klaus arc of Xenoblade/the Xeno series, but I'm excited to see where we go next! If this wave 4 dlc is even remotely as good as base xbc3, it'll be an excellent ending to such a good series!

No real st spoilers here but I loved parts of Vol 1 of this season - like I loved the Hawkins group and all their plot lines (Max basically carrying, Nancy and Robin being like detectives, Lucas getting a plot line that focuses on his actual character and his wants/desires etc). But I also didn’t really care about the rest of the season? I thought some of the Russia action scenes were cool, and Murray was funny, but that’s it. And don’t get me started on how wasted I feel Will, Mike and Jonathan were. I think the show just has too many characters.

(MAJOR SPOILER WARNING sorry for stranger things posting again i fell asleep yesterday and didnt answer this and i like to talk about stuff)

i feel like with a big main cast like that it's kind of normal not to be invested equally in all the storylines or that some get inevitably developed better than others. but i still think vol 1 had a pretty solid set up overall. mostly because imo what kinda drove my interest away from the show after the third season is that it didnt seem like there was much development at all - after each season id be like cool you defeated the monster and guess what there's another monster waiting to attack no way! yeah the monster becomes bigger and scarier or whatever but it doesn't feel like the stakes get any different. this season though had some elements that made it stand out to me like 1. the fact that the attacks are connected to the past of the characters so it's not just a matter of throwing fire at the guy to defeat him but like max did you have to choose to live and find what makes you attached to life the most to survive which for a suicidal character especially is really impactful 2. the fact that vecna himself had a backstory that we learnt by piecing together all the information from the different storylines (so that even if the cast is very divided it still has a common line) and that he had a personal connection to el . but then i feel like vol 2 just fell flat in a sense bc there wasnt really a satisfying closure to any of the arcs or characters. like max was the character with the most development and look how she ended, eddie's death was just so dumb that i dont even feel bad for him ("i' didn't run this time" BROTHER what kind of point are you making you just ran into a swarm of deadly bats for no reason other than shock death quota what shame there was in running from THAT) and he and hellfire didnt get their name cleared at all and there isnt even a hint to fixing that. so while after vol 1 i was like this is sick i cant wait to see how this goes after vol 2 im just like how i was after s3 so whatever

yo.... been seein too many of em in my notifs reminder that i aint want any pro shipper mfs interacting w me, nor anyone who thinks its okay or excuses them. even if its to cope w trauma i dont agree w romanticizin shit like r/pe and inc/st, if youre doin it in a way where the message is that its fucked up i can respect that but jus full on writin shit like pedoph/l/a and sayin "its okay its so i can cope" while excusing it in the media itself i dont fuck with.

idc about calling myself an anti or whatever (though for the sake of being clear, yes, i am but also i think this is just a normal fuckin opinion to have) i just think that if youve gone through something shitty that you should find a better coping mechanism than romanticizin what you and others go through in media because "fiction doesnt effect reality" or some shit.

if you have to call your ships problematic then stop encouraging the problem. i know full well theres discomforting views on both sides and i dont agree w saying that you cant portray dark themes at all or that ppl are bad for having thoughts abt it, bc i do too, but encouraging people to normalize their experiences by putting them in media is.... not okay!! it isnt! and using *other* peoples characters for that is gross too, i hate it esp in fanmedia bc those arent your characters!! its gross to look at someone elses work, someone elses characters, and go "what if this had pedophilia? what if the siblings fucked? what if they were into beastiality, what if they were abusive, etc etc" esp if the media doesnt have traces of that.

theres a difference between healthily projecting and doing something that just encourages normalization of that kind of stuff (and yes, writing media of fucked up shit while acting like its okay in the media itself [again, not talking abt media where its acknowledged that its fucked up {and i dont mean like a pedophile going "oh i shouldnt be doing this" and going ahead anyways, thats disgusting} / where the victims heal] helps normalize the idea that its okay)

Borderline personality disorder + Steve Harrington?...

So I was thinking about how Steve acts in relationships, researched dependency from the partner and then found a lot of info about BPD, wich made me think what many of the disorder symptoms are very fitting to Steve and explains some things in his behaviour. Lets starts, guys!

Promiscuity.

All his teen life Steve been slutting around probably too scared for serious relationships (because its better that way, no one will leave him if he leaves them first), all charming and needy and touch-starved, calming down his desire for attention and affection.

Unstable relationships/idealization of the partner, lack of boundares.

Then he settled in the realationships with Nancy (who are brave and smart and oh, so stable), which turned out pretty much unhealthy from both of the sides, and Steve became so depended on his her to the point of breaking up his bounds with everyone else( including his probably childhood best friend Tommy) except her and planning all his life to revolve around Nancy.

Fear of abandoment, frantic efforts to avoid being alone.

He fears what Nancy will abandon him so much what he becomes even more clingy and needy, while she gains even more control in relationships and becomes a “top dog” (from Joe words). In ST1 we also see how insecure and jealous Steve was to Jonathan, his dramatic reaction on John and Nacny hug, jumping in conclusions without any evidences. He even breaks Jonathan camera in the begining just out of his “insecurity” (again, based on Joe interview), fear what Nancy and Jonathan have better understanding of each other. In other words, he afraid what Nacny will leave him for someone else and he will stay alone again. Steve Harrington canonically has big abandoment issues, probably cased by neglecting parents.

Needing attention+validation

Idk if I even should comment it. We all know what King Steve persona was build for getting attention, admiration and validation from others, know how much time Steve spends on his looks and hair, how pleased he is when Tommy and Carol have all eyes on him. When he doesnt get compliments from Nancy, he pouts and praises himself on his own because he needs that.... “see, a ninja”; “make sure you wont forget this pretty face”, ect. You ask me, Steve has the biggest praise kink in all Hawkins.

Inability to regulate emotion, difficultes with anger controlling. Impulsivity.

Steve is one yelling bitch. He is a soft boy, but when he gets really upset and angry, he becomes mean and yelly and acts without thinking. He tears apart his own essay because Nancy couldnt help him with it, he pouts, storms of the rooms, screams at people.

Getting upset easily + habit of blocking out intense painful emotions.

If you ask Steve how he doing, he probably will smile and say “peachy!”. Not because everything is really peachy, but because Steve prefers to ignore his own problems and things what makes him sad and pretend what everything is perfectly alright. He asks Nancy go to the movie and “pretend everything is normal for a few hours.”, says what his parents totally gave him hell for drinking beer but “who cares, screw them” and changes the theme. Tommy screams “run away, Stevie boy, like you always do!”, wich suggest us what Steve has a tendentions to avoid confrontations and stressful situations. He once again says Nancy go to the party and pretend to be normal teens in ST2 when she voices her concerns, and we see what ignoring problems and pretending is Steves constant coping mechanism for stress fear and sadness.

Distorted self-image.

Steves sense of self also seems to be instable and based on how people around him see him, like with Tommy he was a school bad boy, with Nancy he became a good guy, with Dustin he became a total soft dork as we see in ST3 trailer. He is unsure about his own goals, he doesnt knows who he is and who he wants to be, like wich job he prefers and what he likes to do in his life generally. Tending to base his own self on his relationships with other people, he gets complitely lost in the end of ST2 when Nancy is no longer with him.

Self-harm, self-desctuctive behaviour. Self damaging acts as drinking, drugs, vandalism.

Steve smokes, drinks, gets into the fights he cant win. Stands near Tommy when he writes about Nancy the slut and Jonathan the creep, runs away from cops. I would even say what his fight with Jonathan was quite maschostic, because Steve rilled him up and then barely protected himself and almost didnt resisted when Jonathan pushed him to the ground and started to punch non stop. Tbh for me it seemed like if Steve was so upset what he wanted some physical pain to blur his emotional one.

Dissociation, "zoning out"

Sometimes if you pay enough attention, you see Steve standing/sitting here with blank empty face. Usually it happens in stressful events, when he has some free time by himself. He also gets slow time to time, like hes habing hard time to concentrate. Cant be sure, but its does seems like zoning out. Im think there was even some parody video where people noticed what Steve sometimes gets blank faced and slow in the middle of the talk.

Paranoidal ideas, anixety, nervousness

Oh, this one is easy. You honestly wont find another ST character who is so full of anixety. He is fidgety, he hugs himself in a self-defense manner, he makes himself look smaller than he is, he constantly has the deer in the highlights look on his face, he cant think and act straight when he meets the Upside Down monster first time, so Jonathan even has to grab his hand and yank him to run. We also see how Steve is afraid of the goverment in the ST2, I would say its paranoidal behaviour-its seems like he does think what they are constantly being watched. Says what they will destroy their lives and families and changes the theme what Nancy wants to discuss.

In ST1 he is also ridiculously scared what his parents, dad especially, will find out what he drunk some beer, he gets so scared of this idea what he even calls Nancy and asks not to mention that to the cops, says what his parents will “Murder him”.

In ST2 he is also pretty freaked out by Billy, in basketball scene when he is pushed down and Billy holds his hand you can see what Steve is trembling and looks like he is going to cry. Im not joking guys, just rewatch the scene....Poor guy just cant have a rest!

Presistent feelings of emptiness & guilt

“I'm sorry? What the hell am I sorry for?”

No matter is he guilty or not, if Steve having a conflict with someone, most of the times he will feel guilty and be sorry, as we see in the show. He wants to apologize to Jonathan for telling him means things, saying, “I just wanna be good, make things right”, buys him new camera (and giving it to Nancy, not presenting it to Jonathan himself.), cleans local theatre, he says sorry to Nancy, calls himself a jerk, a shitty boyfriend (wich is kinda downgrading himself), wanting to bring her roses and say how sorry he is again. Dustin also easily kind of guilt trips (”you promised to protect us”) him to protect the party in the tonnels, while Steve clearly was against the whole thing, and feeling really unwell after getting his ass beaten by Billy.

Learning disability/scool problems. BPD can make it difficult for them to control the focus of their attention, to concentrate.

Steve plays it cool and pretends unbothered, but he actually tries hard to learn stuff. Even in ST1 we see in his room, what his table is covered by various homework papers. Its been shown what Steve having a hard time with study, what he is eager to be useful but not the smartest guy around, from his really chaotic essay and getting C-, to the Nazis comment. Its seems like he has some learning disability and doesnt even knows about it himself.

Its also a known hinted fact what Steve doesnt have a good relationships with his parents, especially with strict father, he even calls him a “grade A asshole”. By their absence in the series, when we saw all the main character families, Steve remains all alone in big house, wich makes us think about how neglecting they are. The thing is, “people with BPD have been found to be significantly more likely to having been abused by parents.”

During development, Joe Keery and the Duffers spoke about “what kind of family life [Steve] comes from and maybe this girl Nancy is quiet and listens in a way that other people haven't listened to him at this point.”-wich is pretty fitting to the portrayal of “neglecting, denying the validity of childnren thoughts and feelings parents”-that type of the bad parenting what BPD people mostly experenced.

“Parents were also reported to have failed to provide needed protection and to have neglected their child's physical care”, what gaves us the possible reason of Steves constant anixety and running away from the problems issues.

So, while we dont know can it be canon or not, I would say what there is high possibilities what Steve has BPD.

at this point, i have a theory that a lot of these characters resonate with fans because they see themselves (or other people in their personal lives?) in them in some form. i remember dealing with another fandom and i got a lot of “they remind me of (insert person they know here)”. either that or they always referenced someone familial. in the ftwd fandom, there’s a character who’s literally a white supremacist sociopath that kills native people and a girl once told me that she knew troy otto “did bad things” but she loved him because he reminded her of her father and that it would be wrong for anyone to be against him because he’s her dad. i was baffled. another person mentioned a male relative being hospitalized (also for sympathy after being called out) and said that he brings her happiness because she was having a tough time. i can understand looking to the SHOW for comfort, but a racist character? i personally, don’t get it. one even told me that he reminded her of herself and that she had changed since then, so he deserved a chance. as if it was a good thing??? im like, girl ur still stanning him prior any “change”, so you’re still on board with a full-fledged racist atm. like, they dont hear themselves.

there are people who literally admire billy, characters like him, and would defend them to their grave. the number one excuse is that it’s harmless “because they’re fictional” but what folx don’t seem to realize is that they normalize defending that real-life behavior (as long as it’s from a white person to be more specific). i also feel like its because they don’t like the throw-them-away-if-they’re-trash mentality, because a lot of them are probably guilty of it (like how i mentioned before with the girl and her racist dad). they feel that racists, like them or their relatives, shouldn’t be shown resentment for being toxic.

i think it’s just really weird to look at characters like billy and make excuses for them and the ppl who like them certainly know that. they just don’t care. when it comes to reasons like finding characters interesting or complex, that’s different and understandable because there are certainly trash characters that bring story and baggage. and when they die or w/e in the end, the least we can say is that they added to the story. but to be wailing, making petitions, and saying they deserved better? sis i– and living a shitty life is not an excuse. a lot of people have lived shitty lives and don’t turn out like that, so give the “his daddi was mean to him :(” excuse a rest lol. tbf, its not even just about billy, to me, it’s just about normalizing that kind of behavior. we see it done every day (cough cough youtube influencers & mass shooters)

"Again." He ordered. Ellie got into position as Colt charged her, she quickly ducked under his punch and jabbed him in the side. Colt turned around and faced her, this time his leg swept out and Ellie quickly jumped out of the way, taking out his other leg. Colt fell to the ground, but not before he grabbed hold of her ankles taking her down with him. He pinned her down on the ground, his face inches from hers. "Damnit Ellie. Remember always watch your opponent's movements. It could be a matter of life or death." She rolled her eyes "Is this really necessary?"

Colt let go of his hold on her, Ellie used her body strength to flip Colt over. She straddled him pinning his arms above his head. "Always watch your opponent's movements." She smirked at him. "Cute." He chuckled. She pressed her lips to his, as he wriggled his arms free, his hands stroking her sides.

"Ok, let's work on another sequence."

Colt jolted up from a dead sleep. It was just a dream, but damn if it didn't feel real. Shortly before Ellie went to Riyas, Colt taught Ellie some self defense. Every member of the Kaneko family was made to take different forms of martial arts. Teppei may not have wanted Colt to take the helm of the MPC, but he damn sure insisted he have the same training. He looked at his phone, 8 pm which mean it was 11pm Eastern time. He crept from the couch, and walked out the back door taking a seat on the steps. He punched in his passcode and opened his photos,opening the one album that got him by, Ellie.

There weren't many, mostly of prom. A few from their time together at the garage, the times they spent sneaking around with each other. He missed her so much it hurt, the days were ok he kept himself busy, but the nights wore the worst. He told himself not to do it, but his needs got the best of him. He punched in the number he memorized by heart, blocking the number of course. He held it to his ear as it rang on the other end, 3 times before he heard it

Hello?

He felt like the air had been sucked out of his lungs. Such a sweet sound, a sound that could bring him to his knees.

Hello? She said again.

He couldn't speak, but god did he want to. He wanted to tell her that he loved her and missed her so much. He wanted to tell her that he was coming there, to be with her, to protect her, but he just couldn't. He shouldn't have even called.

Colt? Colt is it you? He could hear the desperation in her voice.

He panicked, quickly hanging up the phone.

"Hey, there you are? How's that side feeling?" A voice came up behind him. He quickly wiped the tears that had been pooling in his eyes "Hey x, yeah im feeling a little better. I'll be heading back home tomorrow. " he stood averting her gaze so she wouldn't see the sadness he couldn't shake. He stepped into the house, ximena following behind. After he was attacked he went to the only place he thought he could get help, ximena. He filled her in on what happened, And how the assailant told him that Wallace sent him. Colt was planning on going after them, hunting them down and taking care of them once and for all.

"I know you miss her Colt. But you're going to burn yourself down before you can even make it to her. Get out of LA, got be a normal guy." Ximena ruffled his hair with her fingers. "I don't know how to be a normal guy X. And if the brotherhood is out there still, it's not safe for me to be around her, not yet." He flopped down on the couch, wincing in pain as he forgot about the fresh gash on his side. "I just hope you know what your doing kid."

East Coast.........

"Colt. Colt is that you?" Ellie panicked, desperate to hear his voice, but she was met by the end of the call.

"Hey, whats up Ellie? Ingrid came to find her as she had stepped away once she noticed the blocked call flashing on her screen. It had to be him, he would be the only one to call her blocked, but why wouldn't he say anything?

"I think Colt called me blocked." Ingrid gave her a stern look. "Did he say anything?" Ellie shook her head no. "Well how do you know it was really him? I think you need to put your phone in your purse." She took the phone from Ellies hand, and slipped it into her purse. "And enjoy the movie with us. Nick seems to really like you." Ingrid grinned looping her arm in Ellies. "Yeah, You're right. Ok I can do this." Ellie took a deep breath and rejoined the two men for the movie.

Over the next couple of weeks Ellie spent most of her free time with Ingrid, Kyle and Nick. She knew Nick liked her it wasn't much of a secret, Ingrid made sure to tell her every chance she got. She also broadened her horizons by taking a few dance classes, and not the classical training ones her father forced her into, since she enjoyed learning from Logan. It was two days before Christmas break kicked off. Ellie had just finished her last paper and pressed send, closing her laptop when ingrid busted into the room. "Get up, were going out."

She demanded, throwing open Ellie's closet. "Ah. Ok where are we going?" She came up beside Ingrid, who was frantically searching through Ellies clothes. "Nothing. You have nothing here. Guess you'll have to wear something of mine then." Ingrid sighed. "Ingrid, slow the hell down, where are we going?" Ingrid stiffened rolling her eyes as she turned towards Ellie. "Ellie. It's the sigma beta sigma holiday mixer. The most important of all holiday parties on campus, and we scored an invite." Ellie knew a few of the sigma brothers, she helped a few of them writing reports for them.

"Yes. Yes this will work beautifully." Ingrid held up a bright red short flare dress, with a squared neck and spaghetti straps.she handed the dress to Ellie, and motioned to change. It fit like a glove, she paired it with a pair of black tights and booties, colts leather jacket the finishing touch. She scrunched her hair, giving the illusion of perfect beach waves. Ellie looked at herself in the mirror, it had been a while since she got dolled up, but she felt good. "Ok, time to take a selfie." Ingrid grinned as she slid up next to her, both posing for the picture. "

She posted the photo to Instagram, tagging Ellie and they headed for the party.

Once there Ellie enjoyed herself dancing and chatting with some people she met in a study group. She broke into a smile when she spotted Nick approaching with two red solo cups. "Hey you." Nick handed her a cup. "You look stunning Ellie." She held the cup in her hand, staring down at the contents. "You're not going to end up drunk off one drink. Its holiday punch." Nick teased as Ellie lifted the cup to her ruby lips taking a modest sip. She immediately grimaced at potent concoction she ingested. Nick snorted at her expression. "Ok, that was downright disgusting." She gagged.

She shared a few dances with Nick, before she knew it it was almost 12. She went in search of Ingrid to let her know she was leaving, she had a ton of packing to do and her flight left at 10 am. She looked everywhere she possibly could before giving up her search. "Can you tell Ingrid I had to leave. I can't find her anywhere." She asked Nick who was nursing a beer in the corner of the room. "Yeah, sure. Do you want me to walk you home?" He searched her eyes for any kind of sign "No, I'll be alright. Thanks though. You're such a good friend Nick." She stood on her tiptoes placing a kiss on his cheek. "Yeah, good friend." He half chuckled. "Merry Christmas Nick." She smiled as she headed for the door.

It was a couple block walk back to the dorm. She pulled colts jacket tightly against her body, to shield herself from the bitter wind that slashed against the sheer fabric of her legs. It had just snowed a few days prior, so she had to be careful walking not to slip in ice with the slight heal on her boots. She made it a block from the frat house before she noticed a shadow trailing behind her. A chill rippled through her body, but not from the cold. She picked up the pace, trying to put some distance between her and the uneasy feeling of the stranger behind her. She crossed the the other side of the street in hopes the other person would stay on the opposite side, and when they followed she felt her heart drop and pulse race.

Just 2 more blocks to go, but the uneasy feeling grew as the person picked up their pace. Ellie broke into a sprint as they headed for the dimly lit alley that separated her from the town and the campus. If she could just make it onto school property she would be ok. She walked into the alley, a dead end. Her nerves getting the better of her, she took a wrong turn, there was only one way out and the person following her, a man, was now right in front of her, blocking her only exit.

"Man, you're a hard one to get alone." He spoke, as he gave her a crooked smirk. "St- stay back. You. You don't know who you're messing with." Her voice betrayed her. "Heh," he laughed. "I know exactly who you are Ellie wheeler. Man, Jason said to take care of you." He began to move forward, Ellie cowering away backing into a wall. "You're a lot cuter than I expected. I think I'll have myself a little fun before I kill you."

"Jason? No. He's in jail." Ellie whimpered in disbelief. "Oh. You didn't hear? He escaped. And he wants retribution for your betrayal." The man lunged for her, somehow she remembered the training she got from Colt, her father and Logan. She stepped to the side slightly, bringing her knee up and slamming it into his groin hard. He crumpled to the ground with a loud grunt as Ellie ran towards the opening of the alley. "No you fucking dont." He reached out grabbing her leg, pulling her down to the cold, unforgiving pavement. She picked herself up quickly, shaking off the stinging pain of her hands.

Her assailant gripped her by the hair spinning her around and slamming her into the brick wall, hitting her head. A small trickle of blood ran down her face, As she screamed out. His hand gripped tight in her hair he spun her around to face him. "My. My father is a detective, he will see you in jail. And my. My friends, the MPC. they'll kill you." She sobbed out the man looked at her with a wildness in his eyes. "I'll be long gone by the time they find you sweet thing. The brotherhood stays hidden." He began to push her dress up. Panic set in, she flailed wildly as he cupped her mouth drowning out her screams. She moved her head biting down on his hand hard, eliciting a scream from the man. He lifted his hand and back handed her, sending her to the ground again. "You little bitch. I'm going to enjoy this." He spoke as he grabbed her legs, pulling her towards him. Ellie thrashed her legs frantically, freeing one and kicking him into the stomach. She stood, adrenaline pumping, anger coursing through her veins. She kneed the in his jaw as he doubled over in pain from the kick to his abdomen. She should have ran, she should have screamed for help but the only thing on her mind was hurting the man who attacked her.

As she landed blow after blow she felt herself being torn apart, the shy sweet nerd she once was falling away, leaving something behind she didn't quite recognize. The man collapsed on the ground, face bleeding badly from where Ellie punched repeatedly. With some strength he grabbed hold of her ankle yanking her to the ground. He hovered above her grabbing her head on either side and slamming it back into the pavement with a sickening thud. Her eyes flickering shut she seen a figure ran into the alleyway pulling the man off of her. The last thing she heard was her name being called repeatedly as she slipped into blackness.

its probably a little soon to share this since i just finished writing this but i am SO EXCITED about this fic that i couldnt wait and had to share a preview of it to get you guys as excited as me.

summery: Tom was an ordinary guy and had an ordinary life. That is until his best friend Harrison started working for a Crime Lord in London. Tom tried to talk him out of it but it didn’t work and so he stole from Haz’s boss which was a deadly decision. Tom has been running ever since till the reader comes long and finally starts living, in danger or not.

PREVIEW. (part of chapter one).

Sometimes you meet just the right person at the right moment. You have been cheated on by your bf with your enemy who bullied you from middle and high school. He could have cheated normally with some random chick or even a friend but no. He chose your bully that made you feel a hundred time worse. Which is why you found yourself crying into your margarita at a bar.

“You alright miss?” a soft but unfamiliar voice spoke.

You managed to look over to see who it was. A handsome young man sat a seat away from you at the bar, looking rather concerned.

“Just peachy.” you murmured, taking a sip of your drink.

“I don’t mean to be rude. Just an odd sight seeing a woman crying in a bar in the middle of the afternoon.

You scoffed. “Trust me. I didn’t plan this. Just that…” You faltered. What did it matter? Why should you bother a complete-attractive-but handsome stranger-with your problems?

“It’s okay, you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want. Besides we don’t even know each other.”

You sighed, staring into your drink. Yeah he was a stranger but there was something inviting about him. Maybe it was tousled brown hair or British accent. You had no idea but still you had a lot on your mind.

“My boyfriend cheated on me.” you confessed.

A sigh flowed passed your lips. “I told him all about my enemy from high school and middle school. Guess he found her attractive and slept with her. A lot.”

The handsome British man scoffed. “Wait hold up. The guy cheated on you. With your bully?”

“Yup.” The word smacked off your lips.

“Where is he? I need to beat the crap out of him.”

You chuckled. This guy was something else. “He’s not worth your time. I just pray that they both get an STD.”

This time the guy laughed and wow what a beautiful sound it was to hear. He laughed hard enough to where he dipped his head back and hold his stomach.

“Amen to that.” he grinned.

A moment of silence fell between you and the British boy. He smiled ever so softly st you, making your heart flutter and lift you off the ground like a cartoon character.

“Wanna get out of here?” he asked.

You smiled, big and wide. “After you tell me your name.”

“Tom. Just a guy a named Tom.”

“I’m Y/N.”

“That’s a pretty name if I do say so myself.” Tom paid the bartender, including your drink and a tip who was more than grateful-he even gave Tom a hand shake. “No problem mate.” Tom replied, smiling.

“Where you wanna go?” he asked as you both leave the bar.

You were silently debating whether or not to have a post break up make out sesh or keep it platonic. His voice alone turned you on. Normally this wasn’t your way of meeting but you felt like you needed to treat yourself after the break up whether it was sexual or strictly emotional support.

“Sounds crazy because we just met but I could use a vacation.” you decided.

Tom faced you so he was walking backwards, smiling. “I could be a killer ya know?”

You laughed. “I don’t think you are.”

“Oh, really?”

You nodded. “You have a good heart, Tom. I can tell. You already brought me out of the foggy state I was in when you first asked if I was okay. And I was certain when you first made me laugh.”

Tom rolled his eyes. “Alright Y/N. Any ideas?”

“You have a British accent, correct?”

He smirked. “Yeah?”

“Why don’t we go to London?”

“You sure about that, darlin’?” he teased with a wink. You swore your heart skipped a beat just then. Was it possible to fall for someone this quickly?

“Never been more sure of anything in my life.”

Okay this was crazy. Absolutely crazy. But you had no one or anything to keep you here and believe it or not Tom was what you needed.

A smile never left your face as you and Tom sat next to each other on the plane. You were above the clouds on the way to London with a man you just met. But what is life without adventure?

You caught Tom admiring you, making you both blush and giggle. He hesitated before gently taking your hand making your skin tingle. You wrapped your fingers around his.

“This is crazy.” he murmured, stroking your hand with his thumb.

“No it’s an adventure.”

He chuckled. “A crazy adventure.”

“Touche.”

You didn’t even know his last name but you trusted Tom with your life. You never felt this way about anyone not even your ex. It was like as if fate drawn you together. You would go to ends of the earth for him. “Get some rest, love.” he whispered. “We still have a long way to go.”

As if he was on cue, your eyelids feel heavy. You adjusted to be more comfortable, resting your head on his shoulder.

Tom waited till he was sure you were asleep. You snored lightly making him smile. You were a mere stranger but you already felt like home. It probably wasn’t a good idea to get so attached but it was too late. He wasn’t going to leave you now. If it goes as bad as he think he will, he was ready to go down fighting in order to protect you. It may have been a bad idea to steal from a crime lord and an even worse to go back home but it felt right. London was home, in danger or not.

Tom’s phone dinged with a text. It read:

H: YOU’RE DEAD.

Tom smirked and texted back:

Why so hostile? London is big enough for the both of us.

H: YOU KNOW WHY.

Tom laughed to himself

T: what happened bro we used to be friends.

H: you screwed me so I screw you. what’s the saying? Karma’s a bitch.

T: you need let go. holding a grudge is bad for your health.

H: dont be a smartass. Im gonna kill you one way or another.

T: good luck.

H: friends dont steal from their boss. Prepare to taste bullets.

T: its a date.

H: fuck you.

The texts stopped. He was tired of Harrison’s bullshit. So what if he stole from his boss who happened to be a crime lord? Doesn’t mean he has to be so dramatic. Tom looked down at you, still asleep. He gently tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “I won’t let him hurt you, I promise.” Tom and Haz used to be friends but not anymore. Section 1 - About:

Briefly Describe your OC: Appearance, personality, role in a story, etc..

nikolai is a ambitious but cynical vampire. he has waist length wavy brown hair, emerald green eyes, and the body type of a bear/twink hybrid. hes what he calls “tired”, which means he’s at the point where he just. hates everything and while wanting to be left alone wants attention from all.

vincent is an insecure but hopeful werewolf-vampire. he has poorly dyed green hair, brown eyes, and a muscular but not ripped body type. hes shy but he makes friends easily. a nervous wreck.

Briefly describe their backstory/childhood:

nikolai was born in st petersburg, russia on june 1st, 1753. he had a normal childhood at least for a kid in that time, though he was shy and had few friends. he was bitten at age 25, leaving his family and living in nantes, france for a while. he then moved to New York City, living there on the streets for years and years. in the 1940s, he moved to los angeles, and has been living there ever since.

vincent was born on march 26th, 1963, in newark, New Jersey. his first experience turning into a werewolf was in a public setting at age 5, forcing him and his family out of the state and to Utah (though he, like niko, has managed his accent). His family was keen on trying to cure themselves of their canine blood, but vin wouldnt. he moved to la at age 20. nikolai took him in, soon afterwards turning him at 23.

describe their family life and friends: neither of them have contact with their families anymore, niko because his family he knew are all dead, and he doesnt know where their decendents are.vin because he finds them toxic for what they were doing to “cure” themselves.

What is the world they come from like? Literally just the earth but 32 years ago.

Are they original or exist in a certain fandom? original Are they an introvert or extrovert? nikolai is an introvert, and isn’t too big on talking to people, but vincent, while shy, loves talking to people once he gets to know them.

Greatest fear? nikolai fears getting close to people, particularly mortals. he knows they will die, so he doesnt want to be grieving a loss every few years. vincent is scared of abandonment, despite leaving his own family.

What’s their sense of humor like? they both share a dry, sarcastic sense of humour.

Favorite pieces of fiction or genres they enjoy? niko likes classic fiction, and vincent likes true crime.

Favorite music genres? nikolai likes 80s synthpop, and classical russian music. Vincent likes classic rock and glam metal, and is a little more reluctant to admit that some 80s pop slaps.

Largest regret? for both of them, becoming what they are. niko wishes he wasnt a vampire, and vincent wishes he wasnt a werewolf.

niko has a stutter when speaking english, and often forgets english words mid sentence. hes also very fidgety and easily distracted, as he has undiagnosed add. vincent tends to clutch onto things a lot, and talks in a lot of new jersey slang, that niko, who already has trouble with english being a non-native speaker as is, does not understand what the fuck he means at all
