A/N: First Goji and Mothra request!! Thank you so much!! I hope these are okay anon! Kinda made it to where it's the set up lore for this request bc that's where my brain took me lmao.

You're not particularly of note, you're nothing, sorry to say it special. No secret heritage, no secret connection to Monarch before meeting the moth titan, but when you find yourself face to face with her, you feel calm and safe.

She's radiating warmth and comfort and quietly as she can squeaks at you, trying to bid you closer to her.

A bad idea really, extremely bad idea but she just looks so soft and loving, so you walk up to her and gently rest a hand on her head, running your fingers through her fuzz.

It's clear She's very sweet on you, she can't always be by your side, having to do her duties as the queen of monsters but she will visit, she also somehow knows where you are at all times.

After the first encounter, Monarch realized they could use you to help locate her so you now have a decent cushy life as the Mothra whisperer among the two twins, the Ziyis.

Dr. Chen is absolutely fascinated to hear about your connection to Mothra, she's one of your main friends in the company who comes to visit you often.

Mothra never lingers for long, but she comes by to visit and rests with you awhile, allowing you to pet and climb on her if you wish, though she makes panicked noises if you accidental stumble, she doesn't really have alot of arm to catch you so girl is NERVOUS.

You're her little human, she'd hate to see you get hurt, regardless if she knows she can fix it.

Goji knows where Mothra is going, to see a human, and he's very against, trying to growl and grunt his point of view to Mothra, but she will have none of it. He rolls his eyes and thumps his tail, trying to emphasize that it is a bad idea and it'll get her hurt.

Mothra has never listened to a man and will not do so now, so she continues her visits with you, coming to him smelling of human.

At this point, he's gonna come see you himself, Mothra is beautiful, caring and a more peaceful titan.

Goji is not, which is why he has no issues with breaching the water next to the Monarch base and coming to find you.

He does take SOME care to not needlessly destroy everything around him, staying in the water and just standing there menacingly as fuck, everyone freaks the fuck out until Mothra follows him, resting on his back, her appendages wrapped gently on Gojis scales.

That's when they figure to send you out, neither Kaiju are attacking, but they know very clearly of Mothra's soft spot for you, so it's a insurance that she'd step in against her husband if he goes rouge.

So they send you out, you humming a village song that Dr.Chen taught you, alerting Mothra of your presence.

She flaps her wings excitedly, leaving her spot on Goji to get to you, her wings enclose the two of you, her way of giving you a hug.

Goji grumbles but gets closer, moving to lay his chest on the ground so he can get a good look at you.

You're so, squishy looking, kinda stupid looking as well, with your big eyes trained on him in fear.

He brings his snout closer, his breath making your hair blow around your face.

Mothra let's out a noise, probably a warning to her King to not do anything stupid.

You can see his visibly roll his fucking eyes at her and then he trains his eyes on yours, directly making eye contact.

He then exhales, the gust of wind knocking you over from the force, he laughs. He honest to god LAUGHS AT YOU.

You can't help but laugh back, from nerves and the fact that he seems so eerily human in this instant.

Mothra slaps him with one of her arms, shaking her head at him, speaking in a language you're sure only exists between them.

Goji uses the tip of his tail to give you something to prop yourself up against, you didn't scream of fear, he hasn't been shot at yet, he figures you're alright, for a human.

Seth Clearwater x Reader: Wolf Time

Word Count: 557 Summary: Seth wants to show the Reader his wolf form for the first time.

The pair of you had been walking for a few minutes. While it was not something new for you both to do together, the reasoning for the situation was. “Are you sure?” You asked, looking around at the forest of trees encircling your vision. “Yeah, totally.” He was practically hopping in place. From what you were told prior, you were not exactly sure if he was preparing himself, or just full of his usual excitement. “Um, Seth?” Your hesitance catching his attention. “You as a, uh, wolf, isn’t gonna take out a couple trees or anything, right?” Bouncing over to you, he shook his head with a laugh. “No, you don’t have to worry about that. Just think, large wolf, not Godzilla.” You tilted you head at the thought. “Wouldn’t King Kong make more sense for a comparison? I mean…mammals.” “Hmm, I guess so. Yeah, that’ll work too. All right. Now, are you ready?” “To see you as a cute puppy? Yes.” A pout emerged on his face, “I’m not cute—” “Cuteness is in the eye of the beholder.” “I’m not so sure that’s the phrase.”

“Either way,” you laughed, tapping his shoulder. “C’mon.” “Okay, but…don’t move. Stay right here,” he said and took a step back. “Please?” “You got it. Not an inch.” “Cool.” Seth walked further away from you than usual. But then, a nervous chuckle. “Do you mind turning around?” He asked, shifting from one foot to the other. “What, am I not allowed to look at you?” To say how quickly you had become confused with words, would not have explained your emotional whiplash. Now he did not want you to look at him? “You are, just…not at the moment. I, uh, have to take off my clothes.” Your eyebrows rose from the explanation. “Oh. Why didn’t you say so before?” Covering your eyes with your hands, you spun around, hearing the dirt under your shoes as you did so. “I thought you didn’t want me to see you as a wolf anymore.” “No way!” His laugh carrying over the sounds of his clothes. Not that you could entirely help it, but questions started listing themselves in your mind. “Do you usually undress in the woods?” Seth’s laugh rang out again. “Don’t make this weird!” “I’m not! I’m just asking a question.” “Hang on.” You remained silent. Quietly listening, you heard his breath increased, and then something so fast that you could not identify it properly. Ripping? Popping? You were not so sure, but it did sound uncomfortable. A light stomping on the ground made you want to turn around. “Can I look yet?” You asked, dropping your hands slowly to your sides. Listening to him approach, his footsteps were much heavier. Then, a gentle nudge to your back and a soft whine. When you moved to see his change, you were faced with a sandy colored wolf with the most kind and curious eyes. “Seth?” The wolf nodded his head. “You’re huge! There’s no way that you could even fit through a doorway!” His head titled cutely, but otherwise kept eye level with you. One of his large paws patted the ground and he nuzzled his face to you. “An you’re adorable,” you cooed, reaching up to lightly scratch behind his ears. “I see absolutely no downside to this.”

MASTERLIST!

"Are you sure about this?" You ask nervously, your grip on your suitcase tightens as hunter turns around. "Of course, we cant fly back now can we?"

"But.. I still dont get it.." you shake your head, "why me?"

"Because anywhere with you feels right." He smiles, reaching for your hand. "Now come on," he squeezes your hand. "I promise, they dont bite."

You let out a chuckle at his cheesy statement, nodding as hunter slowly turns the doorknob to his house, in thailand. It was his birthday and he kept insisting that you come with him, to meet his family and learn more about him.

But you already knew everything about him from the long years you spent together, and you were more of the shy type. But still, he wanted to bring you and after a few pleads you agreed, which resulting in you being crushed because of his big hug.

He already told his family that he was coming in advance so as he turned the knob, his dog ran to the door, violently barking. "Godzilla!!" Hunter gasps, immediately dropping your hand and hugging the dog tightly.

You could hear some heavy steps as more and more of his family came out of their rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, wherever to greet the boy they missed dearly. And so you stood awkwardly behind hunter, watching him hug relative after relative until their eyes finally reached you.

Hunter could tell how shy you were just by your gaze, as he grabbed your hand again. "This is my family." He says with a proud smile, pointing to a member and saying their name, in which they wave at you happily.

"And this is-"

"Oh my god, she is so much more beautiful than you described hunter, I can see why you talk about her so much." His mom steps out of the kitchen and towards you, her apron dirty from cooking as she cups your cheeks and hugs you tightly.

"Mom.." hunter says annoyingly but you were too hot to notice. "Welcome to the family." His mom smiles at you, breaking the hug and resting her hands on your shoulders.

"T-thank you.." you muster out, bowing at the older lady. "And shes polite too," she whispers to hunter, winking as she heads back to the kitchen. Hunter could only smile as he sends you a glance, asking with his eyes if you're alright.

You nod until you jump from a sudden shout. "OH MY GOD IS THAT HERR?!"

A girl ran past hunter and towards you, like his mother, engulfing you into a hug. "That's my sister." Hunter annoyed voice comes back, rolling his eyes as she begins to blubber about how much shes been wanting to meet you.

The girl was much more talkative than hunter and he could sense that you were getting a little uncomfortable, if not shy. "Say it dont spray it!!!" Hunter remarks before grabbing your hand and leading you to the kitchen. "Come on.." he mumbles so only you could hear as his sister makes a teasing noise at him for holding your hand, in which hunter sends a glare.

Once you reach the dining room, hunter pulls out a chair for you to sit. He makes sure you're sitting comfortably before pushing the chair in and opening the seat beside you. He was going to sit until his sister pushed him over and claimed the spot as hers. "How are you? What's your name? You know hunter likes you a lot. What's your favorite.."

Hunter huffs as he finds a chair on the other side of the table. He really wanted to sit with you but the only thing he could do was put his head down, angrily kicking his feet under the table as he tries to calm himself down.

"Dinners ready!" His mom calls out from the kitchen, some of hunters cousins setting the table.

"..so then hunter started running but tripped over the tiniest pebble in the world." His sister slaps her knee, cackling as she tells another super embarrassing story of hunter. You were starting to enjoy being around his family, as you begin laughing too.

Hunter gave up on trying to defend himself, his head resting on his closed fist as he lazily ate. There was a warm feeling in his stomach though, as he watched you laugh along with his sister. He was happy that you broke out of your shell, that his family was starting to enjoy you as much as he enjoyed you.

"..but do you know how much hunter talks about you?? Like you are the only thing that runs through his mind." His sister remarks as the rest of the family silently nods.

"W-what that's not tru-"

"8:26 pm yesterday, 'I'm so happy shes coming with me, I would have missed her if she didnt.' 9:00 pm yesterday, 'do you think she likes m-'"

"Yah!!" Hunter jumps out of his seat and slaps the phone that was in his sisters hands. "You get the point.." she whispers as she takes a bite out of her food, hunters face burning red as he quickly runs to the bathroom.

You excuse yourself with a chuckle, knocking on the bathroom door. "You okay in there hunter?" You ask as he pops his head out of the door. "Forget everything she just said and I'll give you my dessert."

"BET!!"

Dinner was over and you were sitting on his couch playing around with his dog as his sister continued talking to you. You could see out of the corner of your eye on how hunter would constantly glance at his phone for the time, impatiently tapping his foot before he bolts up and grabs your hand.

"..then I- wow hunter how many time are you going to grab her hand??" She laughs.

"We gotta go."

"Go? I wanna talk to her some more."

"But-"

"Please.." she cuts him off as hunter shakes his head no, dragging you to the front door. "YOU TWO WOULD BE A GREAT COUPLE!!" She shouts as hunter quickly closes the door.

"Let's go.."

"Where are we going?"

Hunter stops for a second, before shrugging. "Anywhere," he smiles at you, which you return.

"Its been so long since I've been back in thailand," hunter remarks, stuffing his hands into his pocket as the light breeze floes through his hair. You only hum in response, hunter turning his head slightly to glance at you.

"Has anything changed since you were last here?" You ask with all curiosity, watching hunter think to himself, a finger tapping his chin. "I dont think so.." his voice trails off as he thinks some more, before ending it with a smile and shrug.

You return the smile before looking around your surroundings. "What about here?" You nod to the empty street. Something used to be there, you could tell from looking at the old buildings, the only thing lighting up the street was a dim streetlight.

"I cant remember.." he felt like something used to be there, but he couldnt put his finger on it. You were distracted by a puddle near the sidewalk, eagerly running towards it and jumping.

"What are you doing?" Hunter laughs as the puddle splashes through your shoes. The same warm feeling in his stomach that appeared at dinner appeared again as he laughs at your cuteness.

That's what his body language was expressing, but his eyes showed something different. There was so much longing in his gaze, as if his eyes formed into small hearts.

I look at you now and I want this forever

He eyes seemed to convey as you stop in your tracks, the dirty water sinking in your shoes as you step out of the puddle. You opened your mouth to say something, but nothing came out. You wanted to call his name, but instead your feet dragged you to him.

"Are you alright?" You finally ask, lifting your head to make eye level with the tall boy. He only nods, as if he was snapped out of his trance. "I'm okay.."

"You dont look so okay.."

"I just.." he says, collecting his thoughts, "I'm just so happy you got along with my family." He tries to hide his smile by looking down, your heart skipping a beat.

"I really like th-" you stopped, you felt something wet on your shoulder.

"'Really liked..'" hunter tries to finish your sentence, until he felt something wet hit his shoulder too.

And another.

Until it was raining.

It wasn't the type of heavy rain you get sick from, but it wasn't just a light shower. Your hair was soaking wet but you didnt seem to care as you laugh loudly, grabbing the tall boy's hand and moving it around. He laughs along with you as you suddenly ran from his presence, him running after you in this sudden game of tag.

To your dismay, the boy grabs your hand with his long arms, spinning you around as he grabs your waist, you hands still intertwined as he moves you back and forth in a familiar dance.

"Hunter~!!" You laugh and he does too, spinning you around again as you dance in the rain. You accidentally step on his foot and he leans forward a bit, your foreheads touching as his hot breath fans your face.

His arms still around your waist as he looks down at you, your arms connecting around his neck as you look up.

You could see the same gaze he gave you from earlier in his eyes as his eyes flicker to your lips, the sudden urge to close the gap forming.

You let out a gasp when he finally does, your body curving into his as you hands reach up to tug his hair, pulling him down more to savor the taste of his lips. They were so much more softer than you imagined — not that you were imagining. Your eyes open slightly to find hunters eyebrows furrowing, a hand leaving your waist to hold your cheek in place.

You stood there for a moment, feeling each others warmth in the cold rain. He breaks the kiss, heavily breathing for air as you do the same. You were unable to open your eyes as you bask in the after glow, until he presses his forehead back onto yours, the hand on your cheek tracing your plump lips. You open your eyes again to find him staring at you.

You looked absolutely stunning in the mixture of the moonlight and streetlight, the rain not making it any better as he smiles. "Feels like paris in the rain."

if you say "i like everything except country and hip-hop"

there was a post going around a while ago which had people justifying why they don't listen to black music and rap and it pissed me off so i made a baby's first rap playlist.

some personalized recommendations below the cut

Being An Ally (tm) means complaining about racism and also Pushing The People You Are In Community With To Do Better. so I've compiled a list of excuses I've heard people make and some songs to counteract those excuses.

so i went through the post and then some reddit/quora responses for "why don't you like black artists" and "why don't you like rap"-- the general answer for lots of these is "you have uninterrogated racism and bias and you aren't working on fixing that"

so while i don't think a lot of these excuses are like, good excuses, I'm going to go down a list of excuses and recommend some starter songs

i think a lot of White Kids have this response of "i like everything except rap and country", but black musicians make every kind of music! rap itself has a ton of variation-- it's not just mumble rap and gangsta rap, there's tons of artists with different voices, different styles, and different results. (honestly a lot of you would like backpack rap and nerd rap. i see you)

Which is for recs for any sort of Tokusatsu fanwork. Hanamura's Vigilante; White Dragon, Part 1

Summary: A white dragon is terrifying Hanamura's city, no one knows where it belongs or how does it exist, you knew about it, but finally realized that is actually real.

Genre: Romance, fantasy, drama

Warnings: for now, none.

*At Hanamura town*

You- *Working in a small bakery, making some fluffy japanese strawberry cake and some clients come in talking about something kind...weird. You bow to them to say hello, but they were so immersed in the conversation that didn't even noticed you. It was 3 girls, young girls, talking about something like...a...dragon?"

Girl 1- This is madness, dragons do not exist! Magic is not real in this world.

Girl 2- If is from another world?!

Girl 3- They saw it! They took pictures! Look at this! *show her the phone* This is real!

Girl 1- But it can also be fake.

Girl 3- But it also can be true!

Girl 2- I think we should figure it out.

Girl 3- Oh hell no! Let this with...I don't know...Overwatch. Let me ask her opinion! Lady! *run into you showing the pics* Do you think this is real?

You- Ah, well... It looks real, but-

Girl 2- See! She said is real!

You- I mean, It look real, but like she said, it also can be fake, you know?

Girl 3- Everyone is talking about that! Turn on the TV, lady, pleeeaase!

*You sighs and turn on the TV quickly finding The News, talking exactly about that*

News - An unknow creature, that looks a lot like a white dragon, was spotted flying the skies of Hanamura. Photos has been posted in every midia from different parts of the city. Scientists has being collecting informations about the creatures and they affirm; "There's no such thing as magic creatures, it may be a sort of new specie or even a very old creature". The biologists are enchanted by the huge animal, they affirm that will find and study the creature with healthy techniques that will not harm or disturb the animal; "It should be studied and be observed, it may be the last of the specie. An old kind of animal like this? It must be protected!".

Girl 3- Oh dear...! It is real!

Girl 1- We told you!

Girl 2- This is so cool! The biologists believe that it may be a very, very and very old dragon! They talk about it, hear me out; "Dragons are old creatures that we, scientists, have being studying for ages. It has been found bones in deep caves, now with this new situation, we believe that this dragon has being lived here for more than 900 years!" Isn't that cool?! *jumping of happiness*

Girl 3- Dude, I'm scared! Imagine that appears walking close to my house?!

You- *laughs* A dragon would not dare to come to the city, if it has really more 900 years old, he know humans better than anyone.

Girl 2- That's true...well, let's eat and we talk about it!

*You serve the girls and leave this conversation behind. A dragon, a new specie, well... whatever, is very huge and looks dangerous. After a long day of work you were cleaning the story, it is about 8pm, the city is quite and no one was in the streets, the news said that people of Hanamura is very scary about the "dragon" so, they stayed at home. You were cleaning the floor, listening to a calm music and the rest completely quite. Suddenly, a type of a roar in the backgroud, not that far away, but not like a lion...like...Godzilla... you got scared and look at the window for a few seconds, trying to listen again, but nothing."

You- *sighs* Better hurry up...

*You were worry, of course, is a fricking dragon! Well, in the pics, it has claws and teeth, equal, dangerous. You close the rest of the store quickly and heard again the same Godzilla scream, but...closer. Scared, in shock, you start to run to the bus stop, but...you believe that...maybe the city haven't any bus around tonight...the creature literally stops everything. No cars, no bus, no human on the city...everyone is terrified. You start to walk home, totally alert with everything around you, you heard the Godzilla again and again, and release that looks like a...cry...? Maybe the dragon is hurt or something, maybe...but this is not your problem! After one hours of walk, you get safe at home. A very sweet home surround by Hanamura's nature. You enter the house exhausted and throw yourself in the coach for a while.*

You- I'm alive...! *laughs* I'm blessed...! *You take a deep breath and stayed In silence for a while...but youheard a unusual sound in the back of your house...like a...heavy breath...a monstrous breath*

*You open your eyes and slowly get up from the sofa looking at the window to see if there is something outside you could see...you were terrified. Maybe is just your imagination or your head being exhausted. But then...you saw something like a tail passing through the windows, wiggling around. You stopped and your breath too. While the girls were eating earlier that day, you keeped watching the news. The thing is real, they posted videos about it and is no joke. You wonder why, if is really there in the back of your house, why is the dragon there... ok, your house is practically in the middle of a bunch of trees, maybe he's trying to hide...but...really? Your house? You slowly walk through the house in baby steps hearing a kind of a cry coming from the...thing. At the window you try to look at it, shaking and your heart was racing fast than usual. Your breath hit the windows glass and you could see a huge white creature, wiggling the tail nonstop and he looks...in pain?*

Dragon- *grunts*

You- Why my house...? *whispers and keep looking at him* You're huge...!

*To have a better idea of your house, you had this amazing garden...I mean, is like a open field, not exactly your garden, but...yeah! Is beautiful!*

You- What the hell I do...?! *You step back and try to lock the door. I mean, is a dragon, is a thing, but... you don't know how smart he is, right? The locker made a loud sound and you got frozed for a moment, stop breathing again and stand still hearing the creature grunting, looking a little hit at the window, the tail stopped...that's kind...worry*

You- You didn't hear me...right...? Please...!

*You slowly stepped back thinking in calling to the police or something like that, but...they may hurt the animal, maybe...leave him rest tonight, right? You take a deep breath trying to take back your sanity for a moment. Everything you do, looks dangerous...should you just standing there and...that's it? No way. You back to the windows and the dragon changed the position, now looking at the door and smelling your presence...! Oh great! You hide at the same second you notice, hear the grunts again and now he was smelling the window*

You- No no no no! *you whisper to yourself shaking* That's not real! Is not real!

Dragon- *try to open the window with the nose*

You- Shit! Shit shit shit...! *You crawl out going under the table* This is a dream! That's not real!

Dragon- *Actually brakes the window and grunts in confuse, then putting the nose inside the house*

You- Ooh shiit...!

Dragon- *smells you for a moment and grunts, like if he was calling*

You- What...?! *You notice that wasn't a agressive sound, it was like...a tiny sound, like "someone there?"* Oh no, I'm not going...! *almost crying*

Dragon- *The creature take a deep breath getting out of the window and standing up in pain, walks to another window...right behind you and you followed with the eyes. His eyes, blue eyes, was directly looking at you, peacefully*

You- *Paralyzed while looking at him, and again you heard him "calling"* What the f...? *You slowly stands up, barely feeling your legs and in baby steps, walking to the broken window*

Dragon- *He come back to the broken window and put the nose again, close to you, you step back making him make the tiny grunting calling*

You- You're not...dangerous? *you suddenly talk to him, not expecting to answer, is a freaking animal*

Dragon- *Suddenly reply your question with a short sound*

You- Wait...what?! You just answered?! *Again he answered* This a "yes"? You understand? *He step back and you get close to the window watching the creature agreeing with the head* Good lord you're majestic...you...you can understand me...you...wanna me to...? *look at him and see a wound in his paw, it was bleeding and looks very painful* You...wanna help?

Dragon- *Agreed with the head*

You- Oh...you're more intelligent than I thought... And not that scary. *pause* I'm talking to a dragon...*sighs* It's a dragon! A dragon in my house! *laughing*

Dragon- *confuse*

You- Oh, I'm sorry...! I'm just...confused. You're a dragon! Dragon should not exist in this reality! You know? *Dragon agreed* Really? Wait what? Why? Are from another reality?

Dragon- *Grunts disagreeing*

You- *laughs* Right...you lived so many centuries that you can understand us?

Dragon- *Disagreed*

You- ... *thinking and step back* I'll get the med kit.

*You were trying to find to medkit trying to think to much about... all that mess*

You- A dragon is talking to me...*sighs* Ok...ok. Got it! *hold the medkit and goes back to the kitchen* Mister Dragon! *He puts the nose inside the house again trought the window, scarying you* Oh! You answered fast... by the way, you're a boy?

Dragon- *grunts in agreement*

You- Ok...I think this is was positive. I'll be calling you... Dragon. Mister Dragon. You have a name? *You walks outside and he agrees* Oh! Really? Wow, you guys are very interesting.

Dragon- *lay down showing his paw*

You- You hurt yourself? Or someone hurted you? *sit down close, still scared af* I'm...look...you're not going to eat me, really?

Dragon- *sighs and agreed*

You- What do you eat? Meat? *Immediately he replied with a grunt* No? That looks negative. Fruits? Fish? Fish is meat...*no answer and you focused on the paw* I'll stop making so many...questions. This is a deep cut, Mister Dragon... I'll try the best I can.

Trials and Tribulations

summary: You hold up your hands and wave them in the air as if to clear it. "How about I pick the contest? I am the prize after all," you say sensibly. "What a splendid idea!" Atlas says and Clark almost feels sorry for him. Is Clark the only one who knows you're evil? a/n: Based on a scene in All-Star Superman and is my excuse to give recs. (I need more superman being a complete dork fics. Please and thank you. ) Also I am not 100% sure if I have posted this before but it is for some reason in my drafts. warnings: Silliness and Clark is terrible

You type frantically, the heel of one hand pressed firmly to your lips as you slide down to the ground. This. This isn't happening. Not on what should have been an easy survey day. You take the quietest breath you can.

"Hey soupy, I know you said this line was for emergencies only BUT I think rabid cosplayers and reciting Shakespeare in the park counts as an emergency. But yanno, please feel free to zip on by when you feel like it," you whisper, scooting back into the tree trunk. You hazard a look over your shoulder and wince.

Maybe, hear me out here, you should call 9-11.

You begin to type it again and hear another chunk of the mountain get pulverized.

You look up to the heavens. What are the cops gonna do?

You clutch your phone against your chest. You look over again. Hopefully, Superman gets here.

Admittedly, what Clark is doing is mildly irresponsible. Dick would have a field day with the hypocrisy. And yeah, Clark really shouldn't be checking his phone while he's holding a five-ton robot in his hand but it's... hard. It's kind of hard to concentrate when he hears that stupid ringtone you set for yourself on his phone. He regrets letting you 'fix' it and he hates how his heart flutters every time he hears the Mr. Juicy Chewing gum jingle now.

Gosh, he's such a sap.

He plays the voice mail—mentally, he reminds himself to delete it, lest Bruce finds those again and hangs it over his head. Again. Why is he friends with Bruce?

He listens to the message and his stomach slowly drops to the ground with every word until it crashes to the ground.

That may just be the giant robot he dropped.

Clark zips away, filtering through the millions of heartbeats in Metropolis to find yours. He singles it out, breathing easy when it's still beating strong. But your heartbeat is elevated. It's in the rhythm you normally reserve for danger—a situation you're in less frequently in considering who you work for.

Huh.

Normally, Clark would be more eloquent than that but right now, he's just stumped.

Clark had an idea of what you meant by emergency. It was vague but hey, the description rabid cosplayer is very vague given Clark's line of work. Technically, Bruce could be described as a rabid cosplayer if Clark was inclined to be mean. He wasn't. He would never stoop that low.

Still, when you said emergency, he was expecting Godzilla instead of Samson bench pressing a mountain, Atlas punching a sculpture into existence, and you twitting them both with questions.

Your sheer disregard for safety astounds him sometimes.

Clark hovers over your shoulder. "I recall you saying this was an emergency."

You jolt, clutching the notepad to your chest. You turn to scowl at him. "Don't you people have manners on Krypton?" You slap the notepad against his chest. Clark pretends to be hurt. Out of politeness, of course.

"Soupy, these are—"

"Superman!!" Samson booms, carelessly dropping the mountain; the consequent vibrations shake the ground, causing you to lose balance. Clark's got you though so it's all good.

"Thanks," you whisper with a wry smile. "You're real popular, huh?"

"With my winning personality?" Clark says, setting you down.

You roll your eyes. "No, it's definitely Ms. Lane's writing. "

He hums, "I think Mr. Kent does fine work too."

You turn your head. "He's fine." It's a shy gesture, something he's seen you do a handful of times.

Atlas and Samson both drop what they're doing to interrupt your perfectly lovely conversation. Atlas pulls you away from Clark, bringing your hand to his lips. Clark has never wanted to sock the blond more.

"Superman, your century is truly bountiful with beauties," Atlas declares, planting another kiss to your knuckle.

You and Clark exchange looks.

"Uh thanks," you say, unsuccessfully trying to tug your hand away from Atlas, "now about my question..."

"Beauteous (Y/n), who would you rather spend the day with? Us or Superman?"

You wince at the nickname, the tone, the words, and everything. You're here to work. Well, you were here to work.

You and Clark exchange another look.

"Could you answer my question about your time-travelling?"

It's clear that you've been asking them nonstop considering how irritated you look. Clark's half tempted to let this play out just to see if you can scare them.

You probably could so he sits back.

He isn't jealous. He's concerned. That's the right word for the feeling bubbling in his stomach. Clark hasn't had the guts to ask you out on a date yet or even ask about your opinion dating an alien but this, whatever it is, is getting annoying.

Clark waves at them to get their attention.

They don't even bat an eye at him until you speak up. "Hey Soupy, can you explain to me how the chronovolt works?" You look at him with the hopeful eyes of someone trying to get out of a conversation.

"(Y/n), I could easily explain it to you."

Your brow twitches.

Clark has to clear his throat to keep himself from laughing. You scowl at him.

"I propose we perform a contest to see who will be best suited to spend time with (Y/n)," Samson says with a kiss to the back of your hand.

You recoil politely. "How about you just answer my questions?"

They have also stopped listening to you and have started bickering on what kind of contest would impress you the most. You deflate. You look at him to see if he'll punch them away. Clark shrugs at you innocently with a look that says 'that would be impolite.'

You blow out a breath and pout at him.

You hold up your hands and wave them in the air as if to clear it. "How about I pick the contest? I am the prize after all," you say sensibly.

"What a splendid idea!" Atlas says and Clark almost feels sorry for him.

Is Clark the only one who knows you're evil?

You smile, cat-like, and Clark takes half a step back. You flap your hand at him as if to say he was being dramatic. He wasn't.

Hand on your hip, index finger wagging, you announce: "Since you're time travelers, I'll be asking trivia."

Samson and Atlas look smug.

You point a thumb to Clark. "He'll be keeping score." Clark's brows knit. He was pretty sure you were gonna throw him in with them. He was hoping.

"The one who wins the most points gets to spend the day with me BUT if you both get zilch, you both amscray without a fuss, capisce? "

They look smug.

"In the movie State Fair, how much did the male lead bid to win a date with Ms. Wayne?"

"$10?" Samson tries.

"Fool, it was clearly $50,000," says Atlas smug.

Clark raises a brow. Even he knew this one. Ok, that is unfair since you basically pinned him down for a movie night to get his alien opinions on it. At least, that's what you said.

You shake your head. You turn to Clark, expecting him to recite the answer.

"2.5 million."

"Correct, Mr. Man. Well gents you have 3 questions left. Good luck."

Clark figured this would happen. He really shouldn't have been worried.

"In the 20th issue of the comic series Cirque de Triomphe, what does Ultraman name his new feline companion?"

"Fluffy?"

You make a noise like a buzzer.

"Danger?"

You snort softly but repeat the buzzing noise.

"Matches?"

You flicker a smile at Clark. His stomach does a somersault. "Close. The answer is Matchbox. Two more to go, gentlemen."

"In the Holiday Special for Hard Truths and Other Realities series, what profession did the main character settle on?"

Silence.

Clark drifts around, floating cross-legged as he watches their minds work.

They each give hilariously wrong answers. Clark mutters 'police man' and you reward him with another stomach flipping smile. He sincerely wishes you'd let him join.

"Ok, ok, last one. Which gangs was Red Hood fighting in the movie Red Cape, Red Hood?"

"Penguin and Riddler's men!" Atlas says.

Buzzer noise. Clark feels relieved.

"False Facers!" Samson says proudly.

Clark's heart stops.

You angle your chin. "And?"

"And—And—And the Riddler's men!"

You grin. "Nope. It was the Black Mask and the Penguin's men. Sorry gents, it looks like you got zilch."

Both slump and Clark straightens up a little proud of your diabolical mind.

"I thought you'd be over the moon with time travelers hitting on you," Clark teases, placing a large boulder on the pile. Atlas really did make a mess and he didn't even finish the carving of you.

You jut your lip at him, dropping a rock onto the pile and pointedly ignoring the statue. You just shrug. "To be honest, it was uncomfortable," you say, rubbing the back of your neck. "Besides, they weren't my speed, yanno?" You just shrug again as if to try to shake off the rest of the uneasiness.

Clark arches a brow, drifting down next to you. "What is your speed?"

You jam your hands into your pockets and angle your head to show off a crooked smile. "What? You planning to set me up with one of your superfriends?"

"I can't work miracles but I'll try," says Clark returning the expression.

You hum, walking a few steps ahead of him. "Set me up with my neighbor then. You know, the reporter guy," you say, looking back at him over your shoulder.

Clark's entire world stutters to a stop.

Your shoulders shake with laughter when you turn back to look at him but Clark is still to stunned to give an intelligent response.

"Don't give me that look—Clark's cute, funny, nice—Ok, he's actually kinda mean when he wants to be but the funny kinda mean, yanno?" you say in one quick breath. The tips of your fingers press together sheepishly. You snap your head back up to look at him. "Wait, shit. Soupy, please don't tell him any of this." You walk up to him and tug on his sleeve. "Please."

Clark looks down at you dumbly.

"Are you even listening?"

Clark shakes away the dizziness. He still feels fuzzy when he answers, "Sorry, thinking." His cheeks are flushed but you don't seem to register that over your own embarrassment.

"Well, I guess you can't rat if you didn't hear, huh?" Your hands drop as a look of relief flickers across your features.

Clark grins—evil enough to give Lex a run for his money. "Oh, you mean the thing about your cute neighbor." He watches your face explode with heat and your heart rate skyrocket.

"No!" You bury your face in your hands. "Shut up."

"Don't worry (Y/n), I can arrange something," Clark says, patting your shoulder.

You peek up at him with big with wide, hopeful eyes then you squint. "You're gonna tell him I'm a weirdo."

Clark makes a face of mock hurt. "I would never."

"I know you," you say, poking his chest.

You will, Clark thinks. ()

You're stuck to your couch, rewatching Make an Ass Out of U and Me, when your doorbell rings.

"Soupy, just use the—Oh god, Clark! I—" You shuffle yourself behind your door, trying to hide your oversized Superman sucks Wayne Corp shirt. You wave meekly. "Anything I can do for you?"

Translation: "Anything I can do to make you go away?" Clark thinks.

Clark rubs the back of his neck and lifts up the bouquet of your favorite flowers. "Any chance you'd like to go out for some coffee?" Clark asks with a sheepish smile.

Illegal. No. The universe does not get to plop a large man acting shy on your front door and get away with it. No. That's just fucking evil.

You look up at him brows scrunched together. "Any chance a 6' 5" Alien said anything?"

Clark blinks at you and that was as good as a confirmation.

"I'm gonna kick his ass," you mutter quietly, drooping against the door.

Clark bites his lip. He has no doubt you could do it. "Well, he owed me a favor and... I'm pretty thankful he told me you were interested," he says, shuffling his feet.

The way your eyes light up makes his heart stop. Before Clark can admire it more, you look down. "Remind me to thank him."

"I'll pass it on. Coffee?"

You grin at him. "Sure, lemme get changed."

"Probably not a good idea to slander your wingman."

You snort softly and the sound makes Clark feel light.

He is a sap.

Movies are my JAM!

The wonderful and beautiful @return-of-miss-mgm tagged me in a recent post, and I've decided to follow suit. The following are 9 movies that really meant something to me. My list of movies goes on and on, but here's some that stood out at the time.

Evil Dead 2 was one of the first horror movies I really remember watching. It's been one of my favorites for a long time to the point where I've listened to the commentary multiple times. It really set itself apart by appealing to my sense of humor, and including a level of derangement I rarely see in films since.

Godzilla vs Megalon is an absolute classic of a Godzilla movie. The showa era of Godzilla films is definitely a favorite with their weird story-lines and their occasional 4th wall breaking moments. This one holds a special place though as being on my son and I watch together frequently. Plus it features Jet Jaguar, a fan created hero for this specific film.

Singin' in the Rain makes my list as one of my favorite musicals ever. Gene Kelly was a marvel in his own right and this roll was a perfect fit and he got surrounded by talented costars. The whole movie just makes me feel good and makes me want to dance. Plus I can sing along to the whole darn thing.

Spirited Away was my fist Hayao Miazaki movie. I think it is a beautiful and stunning movie just as much as the first time I saw it. I think the story is sweet and weird. The world it painted was strange and whimsical while also having its dangers. I've since learned that most Studio Ghibli films have the same effect, but still, this was my introduction to a great collection.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind just hits super hard on my interest in aliens. As with most Steven Spielberg films it was kind-of a big deal what with the budget he normally works with. The fact that so much of the movie is done with practical effects really drives home how much better it is to be creative with whats available. It's one of the reasons I wanted to get into special effects in the first place. (along with the evil dead movies) Also you get to watch Richard Dreyfuss go absolutely bonkers for a solid hour and a half.

Tremors 2: Aftershocks made me not want to walk off the bike path behind my house for fear of getting devoured. Eventually it turned into a comfort movie that I would play it on my laptop to help me fall asleep, which I can admit it could be seen as a little odd as this installment in the franchise introduced the shriekers, which I would not describe as comforting to hear. Again, lots of practical effects as well as a very entertaining Michael Gross.

Little Shop of Horrors is again one of those top tier musicals for me. I can sing the whole movie. It's a fun, weirdly dark story wrapped up in a delightfully uncanny package. The baddies get their comeuppance via a hungry meat-eating plant voiced by Levi Stubbs. The special effects are mind boggling and the choreography leave nothings to be desired. Put simply, I love this movie.

Labyrinth to me is not just a great movie. I am incapable of thinking of this movie without also thinking of my wife. We've both loved this movies since before we met and now it's something we can experience and enjoy together. The day our son asked us to watch it together was one of our favorite experiences together. We've since seen some of the puppets, props, and costumes in person. The combined work of David Bowie, Jennifer Connelly, Jim Henson and his team made a piece of art that has brought my family closer together. (And like that I've made myself cry a little)

Scream was another favorite of mine when it came to the horror/thriller genre. Obviously at this point I know whodunit, but there's still enough substance there where I can watch it time and time again. It puts so many tropes on blast while following many of those very same tropes to a T. Upon re-watching you find that it frequently tells you exactly whats happening or about to happen without you realizing it. The cast was great, the cinematography was on point, and I've had a thing for Drew Barrymore since I was in high school.

All in all I have varied taste when it comes to films. I tend to bounce around from kaiju films, to musicals, to horror, and back to light-hearted animation. I have far to many favorite movies to count but these 9 should hopefully give some insight into what helped form my love of the art of cinema. I'm curious what some mutuals might have in there lists so hopefully I can look forward to what, @drgoblins @fat-tea-fat @kolkhozmilf or @transfatfemme @bigfatbuck @brendakthedonutgirl @the-grove and @chubote have in mind. Of course anyone is welcome to give it a go, I don't always remember everyone who's following me back.

a perfect breeze; not too cold, not too hard, just enough to whistle through the grass and trees, and remind you that the earth really can be a pretty place . . .

hearing the sound of laughter and warm conversation by your loved ones in the other room.

cold ice water with hints of fresh fruit inside, to flavor it.

a crowd tuned directly into you, effected by and influenced by the mood of your performance.

being trusted; being relied on.

Do they have any pet peeves ?

of course; who doesn’t ! here are some of the small, ‘insignificant’ things that minorly get on his nerves: medium-welldone/fried fish dishes ( fishies are best eaten fresh/raw in his humble onion, so he mourns to see it desecrated so... ), seeing people nail-biting, long text messages that are one big paragraph instead of broken up into smaller texts (i do that)... and if he has not met someone and pre-approved of them, he doesn’t like them telling him what to do or what not to do; this may lead him to commit acts of purely petty defiance against them . . .

Their comfort read ? (could be a book, magazine, comics, etc)

he preferred to read comic books as a kid, and some shonen manga’s. spiderman, batman, naruto, and godzilla comics being some of the major ones he reached for as a kid . . . so those would be the ‘comfort’ reads, though reading material is not what he’d usually reach for for comfort. but if he did, it would bring him some nostalgic comfort for a moment, . . . . until he got sad because oh no, the innocent childhood days of sitting on your bed reading a spiderman comic are gone, ahHhhHHhhhHH!!!!!

If the book they are reading turns out to be shit, do they push through just for the sake of finishing it, or do they move on and find something else ?

he doesn’t read for leisure very often, but the same sentiment can be applied to various things: tv shows, food, etc. tai will usually abandon things he isn’t getting enjoyment from . . . but the exception is when it was recommended to him by a friend, or if it’s their favorite book, something like that -- in which case, he will want to stick it out, to see what it’s all about . . . even if he doesn’t like it, he’ll want to finish it, in hopes it will help him understand that person better or be closer to them.

Their comfort tv show / film .

he can relate to suki on this one : D it’s definitely the 2000′s cartoons / animation he watched growing up ! pokemon, naruto, disney movies that came out around and before that time, studio ghibli films; those are a few examples of the type of thing. his parents definitely used the tv to ‘babysit’ him a lot when he was at home, lmaoo. his childhood doesn’t have a lot of happy memories, but the pretty stories on the tv screen were a distraction from that, and inspired his adolescent imagination when he needed an escape from that reality, so, they are near and dear to his heart.

A song that is currently stuck in their head ? (or multiple)

songs i have been listening to / or songs that i discovered recently, as they just came out within a few months of now . . . that he would like : / golden hour 😍 / born to run ( a classic but he’s like ‘damn bruce springsteen is THE DUDE... a man’s man... a musican-man’s-man... that man do be writing MUSIC AND SONGS.damb.....’ ) / any way you want me / kids eat pills* /

The next three questions are for you. do you have anything special in common with your character ?

not much of significance; some of my characters are very similar to me, but he’s one of my most different ones. our similarities are relatively superficial things ( we both have a passion for music, and luv animals, make a lot of jokes, -- things like that... ), nothing really ‘special’ and highly personal comes to mind atm tbh. personally i think i gravitate towards writing characters quite different than me; i just find that i have more fun that way !

What brings you the most joy about writing this character, right now ?

him, for a million reasons asjjaj. among them, i’m WEAK like a limp noodle and SHORT, i don’t stand a chance. but it is for that reason that he’d never fight me lmao; he likes a challenge... or, dispatching a threat. i am neither, LOL.

always be nice to your local 7-11 cashiers . . . if they like you, they will let you get free slushies every now and then, and let you take one of the candy bars by the register for free, too. ( sidenote: do not take any of the free hot dogs and/or gas station sushi they offer. it is not fit for consumption by mere mortals... ( who then, you ask, is it for? ) dare not thee question the ways of the 7-11 slurpee sage; he has spoketh.)
