Oh my okay I've got several... no I've got plenty of questions abt Truffula Flu lol

So... I'll ask all I remembered I wanted to ask, I hope it won't be too much..

1. Why guns aren't allowed in camp Entre? Maybe I skipped few posts, but I didn't see explanation for this one

2. About zombie mutations. Is they're really become stronger or is it just Rocky and Entre become weaker cuz of their illnesses?

3. Swags mod said that Swag would probably leave camp and die somewhere in quite place, while trying to survive. Why would he leave people that he cares about? Im a little bit dumb and don't exactly understand his planned ending 8(

4. There was a moment when One-ler tried to convince Bitter to put him out of his misery, but he escaped that. And I was curious, if he actually killed him then, would Entre blame himself for that? And if so, would it be worse then he blamed himself when he killed Bitter by his own hands?

5. After Rockys planned death, would Swag blame Entre for this? I mean, emotionally shocked, blame him again about this apocalypse stuff, that Rocky wouldn't die if he wasn't infected and etc.

I hope I made myself clear cuz I dunno how to put some questions ughh😭😭

PHEW THAT IS A CHUNKY LIST. i love it

1. guns are loud and the infected are drawn to loud noises so if you shot a gun you’d be ringing the dinner bell basically. i feel like maybe we touched on it directly? but if i’m wrong it’s probably bc it’s a common thing brought up in zombie apocalypse stories so we might’ve assumed ppl just Knew why none of them used or wanted to use a gun

2. they do become stronger! i actually have a whole list of mutations (and more can be added as ppl come up with them! it’s open lore basically)

i made a whole google doc explaining the actual truffula flu and the symptoms, risks, etc (content warning for if you’re sensitive to medical discussion?? i don’t know how to word it but i wrote it like ur typical online disease info page. also content warning for zombies bc. it’s entirely abt zombification.)

rocky and entre being weakened definitely didn’t help their situation but yes. it’s mainly bc the spiky zombie is faster and stronger than ur typical sort

3. this is kinda hard for me to answer bc i’m not the one who originally wrote it. i don’t rly know why it was planned for it to go like that. i guess out of irony? i know the original plan was for swag to be the sole survivor at the end, but that kinda clashed w other plans so it was changed. so maybe this was the compromise to that

i will say tho that. things had been discussed since that post was made and his story goes differently than was broadcasted. howso? you’ll just have to see :)

4. yes, entre still would’ve blamed himself because ultimately: this is all his fault. regardless of who dies how or where. they wouldn’t be in that situation if it weren’t for him. especially if it’s connected directly with the infection. especially if it’s right in front of him where he can’t ignore it

he wouldn’t have been AS devastated by bitters death if he weren’t the one that had to kill him tho, because the thing is: that was the first time entre had directly killed someone who was still “alive” (unless i’m forgetting some obscure shit i did or said idk it’s been over a decade) and not only that, it was someone who was still his friend despite what he’d done? and even more layers: he had worked so hard to get bitter to come out of his shell prior to the infection and actually be his friend and then this happens. and he has to be the one to end it. bc he was pressured into it

so honestly entres descent into immense self-loathing and all that would have been Very different from how we saw it if someone else had taken care of bitter

5. nah i don’t think swag would’ve like actively started pointing fingers at entre again at that point. like deep deep down swag can’t ignore that this IS entre’s fault and this WOULDNT have happened if not for his mistake, but…swag realizes in the story that it’s not gonna get them anywhere if he keeps holding on so hard to those facts. like if he keeps berating and belittling entre as payback for everything what’s actually gonna get better for that? nothing. all it does is give him temporary catharsis and even that gets cheaper and lasts less time every time he does it

entre wants to fix things so earnestly and tries and swag sees that and wants to help because obviously he also would like this to be undone or at least, cured. and they can’t help each other if they’re at odds. and so even if it’s really hard on him to lose rocky like that, i think at that point it’s just chalked up to “this bitch of a situation” and not “entre did this”

not forgetting the fact that at that point, entre is going to mean a LOT to him because of how their relationship has deepened. so he’s not gonna turn on one of the only ppl he has left

Question for anyone who wants to answer (mods too if you feel like answering but it's ok if not). Of all the years of ArtFight, is 2023 actually the most toxic one so far?

I've been doing ArtFight for five years, and just like most people seem to have experienced this, it's only now that I encountered a few new artists this year who seem to go "hoping you revenge me back, I worked super hard on this!" in their descriptions and... yeah. I get that this is an art trading game, which is why I always make sure I recognize their talents and effort to draw me something. I'm always grateful whenever people make art of my characters!

It's the "hope you revenge me back" is what bothers me a little. It wasn't common before, so I don't know how that type of behavior became a normal thing now (unless the TikTok art community merging with AF is actually the cause of this).

Idk it just feels like... you only drew my OC because you knew I do revenges, and if I said I don't then you wouldn't have attacked me in the first place. :( It could just be my overthinking, but what do you guys think?

Is it recommended that I put a disclaimer on my profile that I can't revenge everyone this time?

The drama certainly amplified it this year. But Art Fight has had its varying toxicities for as long as I can remember

I started using the Ace label when I was 14 and then I let it go thinking that I wasn't really ace and now several years later, I kinda want to use it again but I still don't actually know if I am?? I have a high libido but I don't think it's directed towards anyone? I don't see people and want to flirt/take things further even when they are cute. But I do want to date eventually, I've just never dated anyone and I feel like it might be different if I actually tried it. IDK I don't feel allo but I don't really feel ace because I don't feel a disconnect between sexual feelings & myself, I feel a disconnect between sex & other people which doesn't really seem like a common experience. I know aces with high libidos exist and I know sex-favorable aces exist but it's still super hard to be comfortable IDing as ace when I still feel like I'm abnormal

You don't have to feel a disconnect between yourself and any sexual feelings you may have! The only requirement of the label 'asexual' is feeling little to no sexual attraction. Libido without direction is really common for ace people, you definitely wouldn't be an outlier or abnormal, nor would you be one for still wanting to date eventually (that being said, its also okay if you don't date anyone, lots of people have no strong feelings towards dating either way even if they're not aromantic, and it's totally fine to wait see if anything comes along too).

If asexual as a label feels like it works for you, don't worry about whether or not you count as 'ace enough', I promise you do!

Is Tumblr actually safe for its trans userbase?

I’ve been seeing a lot of post going around about how tumblr’s ceo and staff shadow ban trans users. This may not be the case here, but lets take a look.

I was scrolling through my dash when I see a post. Specifically, this post:

By @sirfrogsworth. I was like “cool lemme just reblog” but then I noticed something. The reblog button was disabled. I didn’t think too much of it, because maybe OP disabled reblogs bc they kept getting notifs or something. Which didn’t make sense to me bc you can disable notifs on specific posts but I was like “whatever”

I went on and I saw another post. This one here:

By @cartoonrival. I look down at the reblog button and, once again, it’s disabled. This is strange because it’s too different posts on a specific subject. I then looked at their reblog counts seen

Which is fucking crazy to me. I know I’m rehashing old shit, but I rarely stick around posts long enough to see this side of tumblr.

There’s one common denominator between these two posts, and I don’t necessarily like the picture it paints for Tumblr’s staff. Twice is a coincidence, but I’m betting a ton of other people have the third time that equals a pattern.

One OP has said that they received messages (and reblogs) from TERFS saying things that honestly dont bear the worth of repeating. How has this sort of harassment gotten to the point that a user would have to disable reblogs.

What does it say about our community online that so many of us have hate mailed others? I know that we can’t police what people fuckin say online. That’s not our job. But it’s not theirs either.

Of course this aint a call to action- a “scower the comments and find those dirtbags!” No, but it is a question.

Why do so many of us- because as a community, no matter how divided we are, we are always an US- feel the need to insult others? To what end will we go to get our point across? At what point will we consider to stop beating the dead horse?

Idk, im not too coherent rn but i figure we could all stand to be a bit fuckin nicer. That sounds corny as shit, but I honestly do believe it to be true. I think a lot of people do.

And if the mods could maybe take down overly aggressive replies and reblogs, I think that’d be a wonderful start.

im sick of hearing older fans complain about downpour actually. like... i know the influx of new fans is overwhelming, i know some things about the lore arent the best for some people! but its so exhausting to see people act gatekeepy about a game because of other older fans who made a fanproject (which was originally going to be FREE, people made this for FREE until videocult brought it in-house) which was a love-letter to this game. im sick of them treating it like some mod when it has been referred to as an official alternative canon.

maybe you enjoyed the days when the rain world tag was flooded with unrelated aesthetic posts and other fans were impossible to find, maybe you enjoyed the days where the only fandom was either the main world server, the subreddit, or your group of friends who all got into it at the same time, but buddy, i cannot understand being angry about your experience no longer being limited to those options.

i know the community might have been more tightly-knit to you when barely anyone knew about the game, but a fandom is ultimately a community of people who love a piece of media. newer fans belong here just as anyone else does. the best thing you can do is make newer fans feel as welcomed as you did.

im here again to talk about something that's got me kind of down.

my two friend systems have been super supportive of me, offering to let me talk to them about my experiences to see if they can provide any insight. but ive just been... so scared of actually approaching them about it because like. idk. i still cant get over that feeling of "what if im faking it" which, i know is such a common feeling/experience, but i just cant shake it.

ive been acknowledging my potential headmates more often to try and like... idk encourage communication if they are there? ive been trying to reach out and such but it always feels as if there's an emotional block there. anytime i try to sit down and assess myself to maybe try and figure this stuff out, i just cant. it takes so much effort and energy to even talk to myself about these things. idk how in the world im supposed to talk about it with others.

idk i just dont know how to do it. it feels so much easier to just ignore it and live like i have been.

Hi there! Nice to see you round these parts again.

This video should give you some advice. They're professionals. Personally we found communicating on SimplyPlural really helpful because external communication is physical proof that anyone can see.

No matter what you do though it's a slow and difficult journey. Having DID will always be that, healing can take years.

This does not mean we reccomend doing this without professional help or in an unsafe enviorment. Making a plan to get the help you need should always be the priority.

If you do not have that option please be cautious. This video answers the question on why healing can be helpful. It answers another question but we decided it's relevant. Please keep in mind doing this at your own pace is important.

DID is a very complex version of a coping mechanism, if it's working then it's working. If it isn't working out why and what can be done is really helpful. Other systems validating your experiance to remove the panic of doubt helped us immensly.

Again, you are never faking your experiances. What you go through is real. We hope that you will be able to go on a healing journey.

And please remember that we're not experts we're speaking from experiance. The CTAD clinic are experts.

looking for someone to listen about my story, also questions at the bottom

I was abused by a kid my age when I was really little, ive dealt with all sorts of symptoms bc of that (and other traumas ive been through.) my parents were abusive as well as an ex and my parents stood up always for my other abusers saying maybe they were victimized and I was the bad guy...

there have been some occasions my parents have straight up admitted to abusing me growing up and it felt really good hearing that, still feels really validating even though they didn't mean to validate me they did.... they didn't apologize but they change their story up so many times by saying I was at fault, then saying their abuse was justified (admitting it, YAY), then implying their abuse WASN'T justified (even more YAY) bc they will get defensive and scared saying things like "I was never a bad mother! I tried! cut me slack! im tired of you acting like im so horrible" which idk if you mods agree or not but in a way she's showing she feels guilt and shame bc she knows her abuse towards me wasn't justified....?

also, ive started to do my research and recognize somatic and emotional flashbacks ive been dealing with, some I can relate to specific traumas, I usually try not to think of any of my memories or abusers

but rare times when i decided to think hard about a specific abusive scenario I went through with a specific abuser and I went into this sort of horrible emotional/phsycial state along with somatic experiences with some of my five senses re-experiencing I guess things I don't remember too well about the event usually goes on for half-hour to 3 hours. some of these are new and scary.

im glad in a way to be experiencing these things bc I grew up believing my abusers that I was abusive. but my reactions to being abused were completely valid and normal...

sometimes if I think about specific trauma events I start feeling physical sensations like my whole face becoming flush and hot, heart racing. but it goes away quickly sometimes. idk what that is but the memories feel like dreams and its kind of validating when I experience that stuff bc I know its real when strong, scary emotions and physical sensations are attached to the memories, esp newer ones I keep getting...

and I get auditory hallucinations which scare the living shit out of me. I feel like I get into states of fear for my life. idk if thats a flashback or not?? idk if im psychotic or not?

I also have a question? is it normal to feel "obsessed" with your abuser or preoccupied with arguments in your head with your abuser? is that cptsd symptoms or am I just weird for that? seems contradicting bc I try not to think of the abuse, and get irrited with intrusive thoughts about it, yet sometimes obsessively choose to think about arguing w my abuser and I get so heated....

Hi anon,

I'm so sorry to hear about what you've been through. It sounds like you've endured a lot of painful and isolating experiences that can be incredibly challenging to grapple with, and please know that you're not alone.

It can be especially frustrating and isolating to experience your parents immediately siding with your abusers instead of considering your perspective or feeling protective over you. It seems that their abusive behavior towards you over time explains why they don't support and care for you in the way you deserve.

I can understand how validating it can be when our abusers admit to what they've done. But sometimes they mention these things in a nonchalant or unapologetic way because they fail to recognize the gravity of their actions, and perhaps they haven't changed. It's important to remember that there is no excuse or justification for abuse, and it's common for abusers to construct reasons to avoid accountability. It's possible that the way your mom responded could suggest that she feels guilt, but it could also just be an attempt to justify her actions instead of take responsibility for them or feel guilty.

It sounds like you may have been experiencing flashbacks when you described the sort of sensual and emotional state that lasted for several hours. It's understandable how it can feel validating to experience this when your abusers have been painting you as the abuser and playing the victim themselves (aka DARVO). But alongside these other physical sensations such as a racing heartbeat and a hot face, it's important to find a healthy balance between allowing yourself to experience these physical symptoms and validating your trauma in less distressing ways.

Feeling obsessed with your abuser and preoccupied with arguments with your abuser in your head can be a part of rumination. Please know that you're not alone in experiencing this and it doesn't make you weird at all. There are many reasons why trauma survivors do this, and sometimes these thoughts are intrusive. Rumination can be especially difficult in the case of CPTSD, because a trauma survivor with a string of traumatic events has multiple different things to ruminate on, and it can be hard to ruminate about one aspect of the trauma without starting to think about another.

These could be things to bring up with a mental health professional such as a therapist, if you can access or afford it. A therapist can help you process your trauma, work with you to explore these symptoms and discover where they may be coming from, as well as finding healthier ways to validate your trauma.

played the piano for francel at the firmament and unlocked charlemend’s custom deliveries finally. loved this scene. on one hand i get that they’re just reusing npcs bc it probably costs money to make new ones or whatever the push of the randomization button is, on the other hand i love that they reuse npcs bc i can name ppl and ishgard feels lived in with your familiar neighbors :)

tbh pre-hw, i accidentally spoiled myself via the subreddit and twt, not on the plot stuff for hw, but the ishgardian restoration. and also a bit of dark knight. so. my impression was the gross communal salt rocks, the squishy beds of mysterious substance, the murder of the innocent orl tribe. so. my first impression, pre-hw, was...not great.....but now that it really seems like they’re trying to make it a better more inclusive place and moving more towards living with the dragons like letting ehll tol and her dragon friends live in the city, plus the machinist questline of the great equalizer power of gun uhhh i mean hilda and her hounds providing the brume and common folk safety in the streets instead of just the corrupt temple knights - ishgard just feels like home now. :) there’s also the crystarium on the first.

anyways, visited another world after seeing a shb hunt ad on the centurio hunts discord.

also, my crappy apartment in-game in the empyreum / the ishgardian housing apartments. im finally decorating it.

saw a concert in gridania aetheryte plaza and there was a portgas d ace cosplayer lol.

anyways i loved my co-healer cajun lettice here lol we all had brain fog. thankfully no full raid wipes, just...our team. lol

at first i was going to tell you to go fuck yourself because i dont want to but then the bus got delayed so here i am. this one has the faintest hints of a good design actually and that's probably because it's not a clusterfuck of shoddy textures and glaring colors. still not that impressive but considering who makes these it's almost passable. the spikes always look terrible and jut out from weird places, and it took me a second to realize the black clouds on the eyes are wisps but i have less to shit on this other than it's just a touch ugly instead of glaringly ugly

of course they have the 666 one and it's as needlessly edgy as it could be. not even that edgy either compared to the usual clusterfuck. the legs remind me of big bird and its hand behind it looking like it's trying to pull out a wedgie really decreases the edge factor. on the nose also looks like a nose clip for people who go swimming. most of it's just repeating patterns for the sake of filling space

i might just have very low standards but this design is completely fine. the right version gets to the weird overcomplicated nonsense but the one on the left has nothing wrong with it. right looks like it got a disease

I kind of appreciate the various poses these are drawn in but this one's closer to what i expected. a shitton of spikes and zigzagging segments that is more confusing than anything, on a pose that is clearly either eyeballed or traced somewhat because anything that has to be drawn from scratch has incredibly low skill. they've gotten better at color placements though. idk i feel i just have to reward actual progress. this does not stop it from looking a lot like a chicken or the fuckugly hands though

im glad you discovered the darken layer in procreate now can you learn some better things too. same spikes though im unsure if these are standards for the species or whatever. idek what the effect is trying to pull off or why the right wing looks broken. in fact both wings appear broken because they just out of the wrist when usually wing membranes are connected to the hand themselves. the eyes almost look like trypophobia and the amaazing stamp brush used for the circles

click on the link because this one couldn't be assed to be properly colored in at bits or even have the lineart connect. idk what the reference was but why is it doing a weird look over the shoulder. points i guess for trying to copy what a flail looks like even if it's incredibly obvious. the horns don't make a lick of sense and nothing is even which is almost a breath of fresh air compared to the over used symmetry ones. almost, it still looks bad.

idk which part of it lets it have two bodies with entirely different designs but sure let this person make more bad designs. these would actually look fine if anyone else was designing them, though right one is very hard to see because it's mostly black god forbid this be drawn with any shadows or you'd lose the bitch

this looks like a crook because of the mouth and limb situation. the lines aren't smooth at all do they do this with a mouse

another common sign a person's a beginner is their overuse of a single interesting stamp brush. it works for the wings but does not work as well for the wrists or ankles. the tail is very hard to see past the two octopus tentacles in face they are covering it entirely. the webbing on the forearms make little sense

another attempt at a plague rat. the limbs are already jacked up but they couldn't even make them look attached or like they'd even bend properly. also apparently the mask is a trait too. the subtle tint of gross piss yellow adds a nice touch for infected sewer rat just fix the anatomy and this almost could be decent

at first he doesn't really notice the ring, "oh! that animation is different than normal" he notes, but mainly focuses on the beanie, comparing it to himself before he glances at chat to see them freaking out over the planet duck reference

then he's just talking about it, shocked of course but flattered, and then you type in chat "you helped me a ton with things I couldn't decide during this game, I couldn't not add you! :)" everyone's just :(((( !!! /pos

tommy however, not to much, proud of you bc that must've been a ton of work!! but at some time it slipped his mind that you make indie and horror games; I think we all know he doesn't do well with horror games

so you liking horror and such made the textures look more ominous and just make it look like and area you don't want to be in, and the spook goes up even more with the shader!! it's darker than usual, there's unusual fog, the portals look too dangerous now, so on and so forth yk

so,, tommy didn't use the texture pack for long;;

if you ever raid him after you're done streaming and he has a question, he's literally just gonna ask you on stream

its literally all based off his lore,, if you get close to obsidian and crying obsidian fallen down from Undertale starts playing, if you splash water on yourself 1) you get hurt 2) your screen blacks out and when it comes back, your in a different place than before, some things art taken, maybe a few extra things are added

and there's a 50% chance that when you go into your "enderwalk" state (the blackout) you blow something up, so there may or may not be an explosion somewhere nearby, you also have a 20% chance of building something small in you enderwalk state :)

will make sure to take care of yourself, and he has a through way of telling if you have or not bc he's known you for long enough to know that even if you try to hide it a little bit of your tired voice shows so he knows if you've been sleeping like you should

idk if this is the best place to ask, but i genuinely can’t tell if im ace. i know im not aro bc i experience feelings of romance, but sometimes im not sure if i like the idea of being physically intimate with other people? like the idea of kissing makes me wanna gag sometimes lol. im in my 20s and i’ve never been in a relationship (purely circumstantial) and the older i get without being in one the less i think I want one? like, i can live without it, im fine. i love platonic love and found family and when i picture my future, i see a kid but no partner. does any of this sound like an ace experience?

When you say you experience feelings of romance, do you mean you have crushes on people? Do you meet people and imagine or want to do romantic acts with them? Plenty of people who experience romantic attraction aren't that into relationships or dating, or don't feel a strong urge to get married, and relationships are a complicated thing anyway, because everyone has different ideas about what they should involve, it's just much more common for aromantic or asexual people not to want those things.

I would say that it sounds like you could be ace, and probably sex averse/repulsed. I'm personally not super into kissing, and for me it feels like an ace thing (rather than an aro thing, but some ace people like kissing and view it as romantic, everyone's different), but the important part of it is whether you feel a strong desire to have sex with a specific person or not, which is sort of the bare bones of what sexual attraction means. I think that regardless of how you feel about having a partner (you don't need to label that if you don't want to, asexual is a label you can use on its own), that your experiences could line up with asexuality, and like I say, you don't need to use the split attraction model if it isn't helpful for you- if you feel like your desire for a partner is linked with asexuality, then it is, simple as that, and if it's not, then you still don't have to have a partner if you don't want one.

friendship guide

mostly for online friendships since im best at these, i struggle a lot w irl ones & im sure a lot of us do haha. most of my meaningful friendships r online

1) put yourself out there. its very hard to meet ppl by waiting for them to come to u. actively try to put yourself in social situations (i do this by talking in discord servers about my interests, servers can be kind of wild so if one is making you uncomfortable or stressed in any way leaving is OK). i have recommendations for some nice friendly servers, i mod some too and i do my best to keep them friendly

2) there is so much to talk about in the world! im not the best at conversations but expressing your feelings and pointing out whatever u can think of that is related to a convo works! i just talk about stuff i like and convos happen!

3) dont build a friendship that is based on venting to each other or complaining constantly about life. while venting and being vulnerable about your issues is good for building a strong friendship, having that be 100% of a relationship destroys it. its a bad habit

4) work on your self esteem (i can also give tips for this!) it makes you a naturally attractive person & makes it easier for people to approach you! it's hard to talk with people who self-deprecate a lot

5) Let them be there for you, good friends care about you and it is important to let yourself be cared of by them. the same goes the other way too: if you are in an OK mental state and feel comfortable doing so, being there for your friends is important (dont let this be mentally taxing for u)

6) use their name in sentences! idk exactly why but its a scientifically proven thing that it makes ppl like u more!!

7) if a person belittles you, makes you feel small, makes you feel like you are too much or not enough, is rude to you, shits on your passions and dreams, leave. it is not worth it to develop a relationship with people who are make you feel unworthy

8) compliment ppl! small things and whatever you can think of ! It makes people happier than you think! "I like your name/you are fun to talk to/your art is pretty" literally anything you think is cool, feel more than free to point it out, chances are it will make them happy :-)

9) ACCEPT COMPLIMENTS! it is hard to talk to people who fight against compliments or deny them! even if you absolutely dont believe the compliment, say "thank you", force it out, it does wonders for your self esteem in ways u dont even understand. This helped save my relationships

10) dont be afraid to talk abt deep (?) stuff, i know ppl have different levels of vulnerability they are comfortable with doing, but if your friends are good, they will do their best to accept you at your most vulnerable states. if you open yourself up and are hurt/mocked, thats a bad friend

11) having stuff in common is good, but being opposites does not mean its not gonna turn out! SO many of my friends are wildly different from me and each other, & we learn from what the other doesnt have all the time. every relationship is a venn diagram. u have similarities and differences. & Thats ok!

dont put urself down if these are hard at first, it takes practice and trying and doing your best, but they are absolutely do-able and they do wonders even if very small/simple. i have very meaningful friendships from doing these things.

also u absolutely dont have to but if u wanna b friends i am here too ! its ok if not :-)

friendships are about sharing the joy of life together i think.. but you should have your own passions/hobbies/goals/etc outside relationships (i can try to give advice on this) it gives you autonomy (and also makes you more attractive to friendships so thats a plus haha)
