Dear Advisor,

I tend to be a very reserved and shy person so making friends is super hard. Recently I’ve been wanting to socialize more , but I genuinely don’t know how. Is there any advice that you have that can make me look more approachable and not be scared to talk to people. I’m so stressed about being alone and not having any friends, but I just find it so hard to go up to people and make a conversation. I tried once but it became super awkward. I just really need good advice from someone on how to approach a person and continue a conversation.

Dear Awkward Anonymous,

It would be so easy to get into a whole deep let's-skeetshoot-therapy-on-the-internet session and try to help a total stranger unpack all of the GA-FUCKING-ZILLION ways in which social awkwardness shows up in a person's life. It seems easy, and it even seems meaningful and worthwhile, but to do so I would have to presume a bunch about your life, and make a bunch of assumptions about the ways in which my own experiences maybe/probably track with yours, and it would be a whole big wank-fest, and frankly ... it would be awkward. I'd be like you, standing there at the party, hoping that what I'm saying resonates or lands or even vaguely tracks with anything a stranger has ever known or experienced, presuming (probably rightly!) that it doesn't, and then flailing and blaming myself when I didn't emerge from the interaction with all the world's gold stars.

So here's what: stop talking to other people as a primary social occupation. Going up to people and just talking is fucking terrifying. The Bad Advisor says this as a Certified Extrovert™ who rarely shuts the fuck up.

Instead, find a thing to do with other people that involves some sort of task or goal or activity. Talk about the thing you're doing together, when you're doing it. If it feels okay, maybe introduce one or two of your own relatable-to-the-activity experiences in the process. See who picks up on it. Ask the people who pick up on it genuinely interested questions in response. This is what we awkward people call: engineering a conversation. It is the way, I am told, humans make connections with other humans. I have seen it work in my own life.

Depending on where you live and your ability level and skill set, I bet you have some options! You could seek out an open board game night, pub quiz session, knitting/quilting circle, or mutual aid meetup that's looking for volunteers. Especially look for social activities with strangers that involve a dedicated, pre-prescribed activity (such as a hiking or mall-walking group, stuffing envelopes for a political candidate or cause you care about, planting trees at your local park, or tasting tea/wine/beer/etc.). (Somebody is going to say join a ballroom dancing club or suchlike; I am personally terrified of this, but if you have a higher tolerance for strangers touching you and fewer than two left feet: it's literally an option. Line-dancing, on the other hand ... absofuckinglutely.)

Even if what's available in your area isn't your precise and specific interest, it might be worthwhile to check out something you are decidedly meh about -- you might not be the only meh person there. You can bond over shit that's boring or shitty with other people who find it boring or shitty! Some of my best friends, arguably my very best friends, came out of experiences we mutually loathed or found at least moderately and mutually miserable.

Consider especially finding an activity where you yourself are the manager of operations and/or have a designated task to take care of that is unique to your position! This doesn't have to be complicated or skill-dependent; can you become a voter registrar in your area? Well, bam! You've got paperwork people have to fill out and a good reason to jibber-jabber with folks who have to ask you the questions. Other ideas: join your local neighborhood association board, become a notary public, or see if your local pet rescue is looking for intake line volunteers. Do you have a trustworthy, especially outgoing friend who might agree to play "social glue" for you a couple of times at their activity-centric events? Make it explicit! Ask them if they'll play friendly wing-person for you at their D&D game, fantasy sports league, or some such.

Alternately: Do you have a unique and fun and shareable skillset you can share with others? Are you pretty good at drawing, programming? Simply a font of endless Merlin or NFL or Real Housewives knowledge? You might start a local Discord or other online social group to discuss and share your interests, then move it to the real world in a few weeks once folks get comfortable. You get the idea.

Most of all: Look for stuff that has more-than-just-talking opportunities available outside the designated group jam for you to maintain connections. Perhaps a group chat, a Discord, a Slack, what-have-you, where you can take more time to consider and draft your responses and posts? Connections with humans get made a thousand ways, and talking raw-dog with strangers is but one.

It takes a true social unicorn to be simply good at talking and only talking to other people. There are some of these one-horned wonders out there, to be sure — but let me assure you that the vast majority of folks want to be accepted and seen just as much as you do, and they're staring at the ceiling at night thinking just as much (more, probably) about all the weird, wonky shit they themselves threw at you than they are anything you ever said to them.

the ones that seems like they won’t notice at the very beginning. But they knew it since the beginning. For example, they would be paying for the stuff you want while your just standing behind them. Than suddenly a guy walks towards you and start flirting with you. You absolutely ignoring him and just wish they finish paying FAST. They obviously know he’s there, eardropping all the disgusting flirtatious comments they are making towards you. Wants to punch them so hard and won’t hesitate even if they are in a store. Because you deserve to get treated with respect and love. Drags you out after threatening them.

“Babe I’ll pay for this, just stay close with me alright?” He said as he walked towards the cashier. You trailing behind him because he said to stay close to him.

Your thoughts was interrupted as a stranger approaches you. “Hey gorgeous how’s your day?”

Chapter 4

Tea roses

So i messed up the timeline a bit this more colonial America era than Victorian my bad whoops. Also sorry for any mistakes or typos I type these out super duper fast haha.

The two women get to talking and the find themselves enamored with that one another have to say.”So judging by your accent you are not from around here?” Asked Spitzy “No miss I ain’t from these parts” answered Winona.”Where are you from then?” Asked Spitzy. “Southern Georgia.” Replied Winona. “Oh you from America?” Spitzy. Questioned. “Yes ma’am I am.” She said with a small grin. “I don’t suppose that changes your opinion of me” Winona asked. Spitzy shook her head “No It doesn’t though there isn’t much of an opinion to change since we barely know each other but I like what I do see and know though.” Spitzy stated Winona stood there for a second before breaking out into a big grin and lets out a little chuckle. “Is that so? Well I’m glad you like me.tell you what I’ll let you in on a little secret.” She leans in a bit close and whispers “I already like you too hun.” It’s at this point Spitzy notices Winona has some sharp chompers. And with that she goes red again ‘Oh God and here I thought she couldn’t be more attractive. She has fangs oh lord help me…’ she thought in her head. But then the woman spoke once more and what she said shook her to her core. “But I would like to get to know you more if you will have me milady.” With this Winona lent forward and gentle took Spitzy’s hand and kissed it. Spitzy at this point her cheeks now all sorts of rosy and red replied with a shy smile on her face “ I would love to.” Winona stood there in stunned silence for a second and then smiled “ Alright.” Replied Winona. “Hmm how about we play a game.” Said Spitzy. “Oh?” Inquired Winona. “What’s the game?” She asked. “ where we both ask each other questions and we answer them.” Answered Spitzy. “Sounds like it could be fun. Alrighty then what does the pretty lady wish to know?” Now spitzy obviously entertained the idea of unmasking her mystery person or even asking for a name but she thought it was too soon for either of those things’I don’t want this little game to end just yet.’ She thought. “So what exactly is your mask supposed to be? It’s sending mixed messages I can’t tell if its a dog or fox.” Asked Spitzy with a giggle she tried but failed to stifle with her hand. Winona slightly worn out by the question “It’s a coyote.” Winona said exasperatedly. Before she came to lay around in the corner of the room some folk did try to strike up a conversation and asked that very question… “Really? I would have never guessed.” Said Spitzy with a big laugh. Winona is no stranger to teasing and normally can’t stand it when Agatha teases her but for some reason she love its when this woman does it and is smiling like a fool. “So what is your supposed to be exactly then missy?” Asked Winona in a teasing tone with one brow raised. Spitzy paused in thought”you know I’m not sure I think it’s supposed to be a peacock?” Spitzy replied. They both turn to look at each other and snicker which then they both let out a laugh. Grinning at each other with something in both of their eyes that can’t quite make out just yet.

Night continues to burn away their little game kept going on with both parties wanting know more about one another. They both even shared some stories. Laughing and smiling all the way while the clock continues to tick the minutes away. While chatting they noticed that people were starting to dance around the ballroom. Winona thought to ask one last question. One that has been burning since about the moment they locked eyes. “I have one last question for you dear if you would be so kind.” Said Winona she looked a tad flushed and embarrassed looking away from Spitzy. Intrigued Spitzy raised a brow. the cowpoke recent shift in mood was noticed but she asked anyways “And what question would that be?” Winona was extremely nervous for once in her life this scared her for a multitude of reasons but she was hung up on one specific thing ‘I’ll just end up makin a fool of myself and of her if I ask her that’ Winona thought. “I was wondering if you would like to get outta here.”Winona said. ‘Coward’ Winona thought to herself. She chickened out but it was for the best she reasoned. Spitzy mouth opens up to let out a little quiet gasp. If her cheeks weren’t burning before they certainly were now. ‘Ah look what you did you fool.’ Thought Winona thinking once again that Spitzy Silence was a bad thing Spitzy finally snaps out of her thoughts and quickly said something that would make Winona’s heart soar “Yes.” Replied Spitzy a slightly frazzled but joyous expression. Winona tooth grin made an appearance again in that moment.

Winona held her arm out and leaned a little where Spitzy was standing “Shall we get outta here?” Winona asked. “Yes we shall.” Said Spitzy’s with a smile. As spitzy latched on her companion’s arm. Spitzy was pleasantly surprised that her coyote masked woman had some muscle to her. They both secretly dipped out the dance hall and headed towards the garden. “Could we stroll through the garden? It always looks lovely at night.”Spitzy asked. Winona simply nodded and they both headed into the garden. Winona didn’t recognize some of the plants except for one stood out to her the most. there in the distance she spots a peach tree. It only had a few full blossoms but it still a slight to behold. They stroll through the garden and enjoy each other company. “They are wonderful aren’t they.” Said Spitzy gesturing to the plants in the garden.” I hand picked themself. This place was just full of hedges and shrubs it was so boring.” She continued. “Yeah I like what you have done with the place. I’m seein all kinds of plants here like all these different colored tulips or these butterfly peas. I also see some Pheasant’s eyes...” Winona paused for a Moment due to Spitzy staring at her”Ah sorry didn’t mean to ramble there.” Winona said. “Ah no love you are quiet alright.” Said Spitzy. “I’m just surprised you know that is all. I think it’s smashing you know all of this.”Spitzy clarified. “Tell me what else do you know?”Asked Spitzy. Winona searched the back of her neck”Ah well I know each plant medicinal properties and even know flower language.” Answered Winona. “Flower language?” Spitzy questioned. Winona piped in and walked up to a bush of roses “it when each plant has a secret meaning like this tea rose it means always desire,always lovely and I will always remember. Some plants crane have multiple means which means you have to pair the right plant to Convey which meaning you want like you would want to pair a red rose with a tea rose if you want to say I’ll always desire you.”She said while holding the tea rose gently in her hand.” “And thats just the tip of the iceberg even the specific color the of the plant has a different meaning.’ Rambled Winona. She once again stops herself ‘But this stuff is probably borin ya to death.” Spitzy grabbed Winona’s hands and said “no not at all! I think it’s very interesting! I just never realized that plants can have meanings.” Explained Spitzy. Spitzy notices a purple flower hanging onto her mystery woman’s front pocket. “ what does this one mean?” Asked Spitzy. “Winona plucks the wolfsbane out of her pocket “this is wolfsbane it doesn’t have very pleasant meanings I’m afraid. It means mistrust,beware,and mistrust of people.” She said while looking at the wolfsbane in a somber tone how fitting that this was the plant stuck to her Winona thought.Then she noticed Spitzy’s Bellanona brooch and felt even more sadden ‘why wear such a sad plant is she unhappy?’

Spitzy noticing how somber the mood had gotten once again grabs both of her hands despite both parties wearing gloves.Dark leather gloves meets soft long fabric ones. This snaps Winona out of her thoughts and she gently squeezes back.Both of them realized how intimate this was and both recoiled a bit away from one another looking away and suddenly finding the ground more interesting to look at hands firmly at their sides. However the touch was not hated by both parties. They both look at each other again faces slightly pink and they both eventually give each other a small smile.

They continued to wonder around the garden talking and laughing all the way. Spitzy felt a small gust of wind and shivered her face slightly flush from the cold. Winona being the gentlewoman she is simply grabs her coat and gentle lay places her suit jacket on Spitzy’s shoulders. “wouldn’t want cha to catch your death out here.” Said Winona. Spitzy gently pulled the coat around herself now flushed for a different reason. ‘It smells nice and it’s warm.’ Thought Spitzy. She nestled even further in the coat enjoying its warmth and it’s scent of pine and fresh rain with a hint of citrus. They both eventually find a bench and decided to sit down for bit. Winona wants to put her hand on Spitzy’s but is one again hesitating. Spitzy noticed Winona’s hand moved towards hers but then it quickly moved back to resting on the bench. Spitzy couldn’t help but feel a tad disappointed. Winona noticing the slight shift in mood decided to hell with it and inched her hand next to Spitzy’s. Winona gently wrapped one her fingers around Spitzy’s,then Winona grasps another finger,andanother eventually they finally slide their hands into place. They are now holding hands. Spitzy happy with Winona’s small token of affection but not satisfied with it moved closer. She scooted close enough where they were shoulder to shoulder and Spitzy leaned on the cowpoke once again but this time on purpose. She nestled in near Winona’s neck. Meanwhile Winona’s face was a mixture of being stunned and of joy. She didn’t know either to have a gay panic attack or to be happy so she chose the second option. She had a small blush in her cheeks and moved her head so Spitzy had some room.Spitzy took advantage of the new space and nestled in. The two sat in silence looking up at the stars enjoying each other’s company. Spitzy tracing shapes on Winona’s chest and Winona gently doing the same but on Spitzy’s hand. They lovingly started at one another. The whole night the two spent together getting to know each other and spent such a wonderful evening Winona feeling content rests her head on top of Spitzy’s.

The clock chimed another hour has passed.Winona checked her pocket watch 11:20pm she remembered that there was supposed a final dance or something of the sort. Spitzy who was lightly dozing on Winona shoulder woke up with a start when she hear the clock chime 3 times. She was confused about her surroundings at first but quickly remembered that she was with the masked woman that she met at the ball. Then Spitzy realized ‘wait how much time had passed I had such a great evening that I lost track of time.’ She thought to herself “ wait what time is it?!” She said. Winona noticed she looked frazzled and calmly explained”it’s 11:20pm why? Do you got somewhere to be?” Winona asked. Spitzy frantic at this point said”Yes! I was supposed to dance with my fiancé for the final dance but if I’m late he’ll…” Spitzy tears up a little bit she holds crumbled to the ground and her head in the hands trying to keep calm. She hated her fiancé but she didn’t want to disciplined by him again. Seeing this reaction breaks Winona’s heart for several reasons but 3 reasons stick out the most. Reason one a woman like her feathered companion shouldn’t be crying,two she has a fiancé she sorta forgot that the woman she was talking to is taken,and three she was hurting and bit fearful just what exactly did this scum do to her to make her react this way i outta beat the livin shit out of him Winona thought. Winona kneeled down and gently moved her hands away and tilted her chin up to look at her. She held Spitzy’s cheek and wiped some of her tears away saying “it’s ok darlin.” Spitzy hugs her. Winona hesitated but reciprocated the hug. “I gotcha it’s gonna be alright.” She said soothingly. Winona eventually get up and wipe any dirt off of herself. “Sorry I just really don’t want to deal with my fiancé right now or ever really.” Spitzy said. Winona once again left her heart break and fill a little bit more anger to this woman’s fiancé. “Let me deal with him then if he tries to give you grief.” Said Winona.Winona held out her hand and had the most sincere smile and look that Spitzy had ever seen.Spitzy sniffled and gave a small smile and grabbed Winona’s hand. The southern woman not realizing her own strength hoisted her straight into her chest. Out of panic of accidentally falling over both of them latched on to each other Spitzy realized she is a bit pinned to the southern woman’s chest but didn’t mind because of how gorgeous the woman was and how strong she was. Granted Spitzy didn’t weigh that much nor was she tall but the woman effortlessly hoisted her up like she was a paper weight.Before Spitzy could enjoy the close proximity Winona let her go and asked if she was alright. Spitzy snapped out of her daze and simply nodded. Spitzy dusts herself off and Winona offers her arm once more and the pair slowly head back to the dance hall.

Once they are at the dance hall Winona notices Spitzy looks around and let’s out a huge sigh her fiancé is not here ‘probably busy being in another woman’s sheets.’ Spitzy thought to herself. Spitzy once again notices The coyote masked woman’s mood shift from watching everyone dance. Spitzy looks away trying to figure out what to say to break the silence. Winona was gonna try and say something when Suddenly Agatha who is a little drunk bumped into her and whispered “go get her tiger” while dancing with some small what looked like to a wet cat of a person. Winona once again almost falls into her feathered companion but instead of bumping into her she catches herself and is now standing closer to Spitzy. ‘Aw what the hell what do I got to lose she thought to herself. Winona inhales a big gulp of air and was about to speak .” Would you do me the honor of dancing with me?”This was the question she was afraid to ask however she wasn’t the one asking it was Spitzy. “I would love to but…” “but what?” Asked Spitzy “I can’t dance very well I wouldn’t want to embarrass you.” Said Winona. Spitzy wasn’t having it and so she yanked the southern woman down to her level using her suspenders and whispered “that’s alright love just follow my lead.” She said with a smile. Winona still hunched over gulped and nodded. “Good puppy.” Said Spitzy. They both make their way to dance floor.They both take a little curtsy bow to each other and Spitzy takes the lead. They danced and danced together it taking all Winona’s focus not to muck it up. Then from the railing the duke finally emerges from where he has been and seen his fiancée dancing with someone else?! He knew better than to make a scene besides it was just a dance he had “other” Important things to do. Those other things being the two women in his sheets.With that he slinked off to where he came from.The dance ends and the party is slowly winding down they both give a look to each other and Winona feeling a pair of eyes on them for second looked up to see what she thinks is the duke but his back is already turned to leave. She decided to have one more little moment with her companion before departing. She leans in asks”let’s get outta here again?” Spitzy giggled and yes once more.

They exit the dance hall and head to the garden where they were giggling at each other as they were walking. Spitzy hasn’t been this happy in ages she doesn’t want this night to end and she know her coyote masked woman doesn’t want it to end either. So Spitzy decided to ask one last question. “I would like to know who is under the mask would you be so kind?” Asked Spitzy. As she extends her hands to grab the mask. Winona panicked she couldn’t have her know at least not yet. But just before she could say anything. Pomni came running out she was out of breath and had what looked like a lipstick stains on her neck. “Pomni! What are you doing here also what is on your neck?” Spitzy asked. Pomni squeaks at that and covers her neck.”I’m so sorry to interrupt my lady but The duke is looking for you.” Said Pomni. Spitzy frowns at this ‘there goes my good mood what in the bloody hell does he want?’ She thought to herself. Before Winona could say anything Agatha appeared again behind Spitzy near the entrance of the garden motioning for her to wrap it up and to meet her at the front. Winona nods and says”looks like we both have to go…” Winona stated in a sad tone.Spitzy looked at her coyote companion and asked while holding her hands “ will I ever see you again?” Winona paused she didn’t want whatever this is to end she was in too deep”yes you will” Winona replied in her soothing voice. “Keep my coat it will be even more incentive for me to come back plus it’s cold out wouldn’t want cha to get sick now.” she said with a smile. That smile made Spitzy all fuzzy inside. “I was enchanting to meet you darlin.” Winona said while kissing Spitzy’s knuckle and then palm then Winona started walking towards the front of the manor. If Spitzy’s heart and face wasn’t set a blaze now it most certainly was she was s. While Winona walking away Spitzy shouted” I never caught your name!” Winona walked passed the tea rose bush and then let out a hardy laugh. She picked one of the tea roses and then turn around to face spitzy by using her heels. “I never threw it!” Said Winona. 2. Are you loud, outgoing, or shy? I am definitely loud and outgoing around the right people. I don’t think I’m shy. I’ll talk about anything with anyone stranger or otherwise but I just don’t necessarily have much to say? And there’s a huge difference between being shy and being completely afraid.

3. Who are you looking forward to seeing? I am always looking forward to seeing one friend of mine. They don’t really talk to me anymore and I never see them but I’m sure I’ll always feel this way.

4. Are you easy to get along with? I really hope so? I’m sure I can be disagreeable and I probably talk about myself a bit more frequently than people want to hear but I’ve never had anyone that I really didn’t get along with I don’t think

5. Have you ever given up on someone, but then gone back to them? In terms of dating I’m assuming? In that case no. I’ve never dated anyone to begin with

hey! I honestly can’t remember if I’ve already submitted a request for a BoB ship, so please ignore this if I have!!

So I’m blonde hair and blue eyed, with naturally pale skin which I love tanning because I loveee the sun and just being more sun kissed. I love wearing makeup and dressing girly (most times when I can be bothered) and having my skin care and hair dyed! I’m around 5”3 and quite petite but Id say I’ve got fairly decent curves despite being quite slender.

a lot of people would say I’m innocent and ‘cute’ but I really don’t see myself as that, I think because I’m very chatty and get giddy over small things people think this of me. But I’m super loyal to those I like and will stand up, even if I do get shit scared of confrontation!! Yeah I usually will cry if I’m in a big argument oops.

I’m an Aries and I’d say I’m very bubbly, I can get a little awkward/ shy around strangers but I just try fake it till you make it with my confidence and that has worked! Id say I can be quite flirty and I can read people pretty well, especially if it’s a guy, but if he flirts back I can get kinda shy. the others talk about how alike we are- and in a way, I can see it :P! I’m a puppy, Cupid’s a puppy, so we’re both just bundles of energy!! he does have his more relaxed moments, but with me he just gets more energised. it’s super cute heh <333

hmm, what else.. he’s different around other people bcoz that’s just how he is, but you can tell when he’s comfortable around you!! he’s usually pretty quiet, but when he gets real talkative, that’s when you know ;D he can get real affectionate too, even when you’re just friends!! he’s the baby of his closest friend group, and it’s easy to see why- he can be a pretty clingy pup :P but he feels much better when other people take the first step- you gotta remember that if you wanna be friends with him.. but he’s been trying to move outside his comfort zone more, so he may come knocking at your door first instead!!

ngl, I wanted to take him to somewhere fancy for our first date. yknow! somewhere nice in the city, with real good food and three kinds of forks and knives. but I guess we both knew by then that it was gonna drain our wallets and we’d feel outta place- so we just went to one of our favourite spots instead!!! we played games for practically the entire night. I won him a plush toy he still sleeps with (when I’m not home, of course), and we took photobooth pics that I keep with me on my phone case. it was definitely one of the best dates I’ve ever been on- being in love with your best friend is its own kinda special, yknow?? <3

I’m a straight Bengali girl, who’s a little chubby and has a lot of acne scars (both of which I’m insecure about, though, I’ve been staring to like my acne scars lately). I wear glasses and without them, the world around me is very blurry. I’m pretty shy and nervous, so I sort of have trouble speaking to strangers or people I don’t know well. But once I’m comfortable around you and we mutually see each other as friends, I’m able to show you my chaotic side and feel comfortable saying some pretty wild things. I also make quite a few sexual jokes. Though I am more comfortable to speak freely with my friends, if I’m in a relatively big group that consists of my friends, I get really nervous speaking in front of all of them, so I opt to talk to individuals rather than the collective. I crave for physical affection but I never ask for it because I’ll feel bad if I get rejected of such, so I’ll wait til someone decide to give me affection. I’m a huge romantic fan and love reading romance stories or fanfic, and I love men who are completely obsessed with you. If I’m going to be honest, I feel more attracted to depressed or sad men rather than happy or cheerful men. I love eating food, but don’t really like eating in front of people much cause I always feel like I’m being judge for the way I eat even if that’s not actually the case. I can’t help it, so I prefer to eat alone. My favourite food is chicken curry and rice! I have trouble keeping eye contact so I usually look somewhere else while talking to people, but I do occasionally (while in the conversation) do make eye contact. There are times where it takes time for my brain to process some situations or dialogue, and I have an awfully memory. I also hate reading out load cause my brain takes time to process the words on the paper for me to read out load, so it makes me say the words out load slowly and almost choppy, you know? I love my friends very much and always love to hang out with them, even if we are simply in a room together only doing our own thing. I just like being in their presence. Though, once my social battery runs out, I’d like to be alone in my room (though, if I have a romantic partner, I wouldn’t mind them being with me). I’m always open to be their for my friends if they are down and listen to their problems, but not good at verbally comforting them, so I’m open for providing them physical comfort such as a hug or rubbing their back if that’s what they want. If I don’t anything embarrassing, I will constantly think about the moment for years and best myself over it and mentally redo that whole conversation or action in a way better way that I should have done to have not embarrassed myself earlier, you know? I very kind and often give people the benefit of the doubt, and I’m sort of a pushover, but I’m still able to say no to situations that make me uncomfortable.

I love reading, drawing, and creating ocs and world building. I’m such a mythology nerd, especially when it comes to Greek mythology (I have many books about these myths). I absolutely hate bugs and because of them, I hate being in forests and such cause I always get swarmed by them. I’m also afraid of the dark, so when I sleep, I leave my door open and the hallway light on.

If I have a crush anyone, I would constantly look for them in the crowd, think about them constantly, and want to be really affectionate towards them, but if I notice I’m getting to affection I distance myself more than I realize. I’m pretty insecure with myself so it’ll take a bit before I realize someone actually likes me romantically. Because of this, I’ll never confess.

chapter 2

Summary:

After Gogobugi was attacked, Fang and Kaizo had to find other place to stay. So, Kira'na gets two new housemates.A collection of short stories about the relationship between Fang, Kaizo, and Kira'na.

It's been exactly a week, Kaizo has already got his own room with his brother, Kira'na has been adapting well to new housemate…

…Yet Kaizo is still commenting the same thing everyday.

“I couldn't believe you and your father would let us live here just like that.”

Kira'na sighs.

His father has warned her. Be patient, he said, don't make him feel he's burdening you, he said.

Kaizo isn't burdening her. In fact, it's been quite fun to have someone to talk to after she comes home from the academy. His father usually busy burying himself in his work and the Guruhan Army until late night, so it's nice to have company, eventhough Kaizo's brother—Fang, she's heard Kaizo called him that—still doesn't want to be in the same room as Kira'na (“He's shy,” Kaizo explains, and Kira'na is too embarrassed to admit she's shy too).

Except, she's also tired of repeating “of course we'd let you live here!” “No, no, you're not a burden at all!” “Yes, you can eat whatever you want in the fridge!” “Don't be shy!”

All of those are true from her heart, but it is tiring to repeat it over and over and over again only to have her words not reach his ears. Her father always gives her a thumbs up when he hears her say that, but he isn't here now. She's free to say what she wants to say.

“How many times do I have to say it?” she says a bit more harsh than she intends to.

He flinches. She regrets it.

“Oh, I—”

“Sorry—”

They say it at the same time.

Kaizo frowns. “Why are you sorry?”

“I didn't mean to raise my voice.”

“Oh,” he says, “I guess it is tiring to answer the same thing everyday, huh?” So he does listen.

She can say that it's okay. She can say she doesn't mind. She can say he can ask the same thing for years and she still won't be tired (okay, that's an exaggeration).

But she doesn't want to lie. So, she settles to tell the truth. “Yeah. Honestly, it is,” she says. “I'm sorry that I raised my voice, but I'm not taking back what I said.”

“O-oh.” He nods, but his expression sours. “Okay. I won't ask anymore.”

“Um,” she plays with her fingers, “If I may ask, why are you so … surprised? You were a victim of … whatever happened, it's only natural people would help you, wouldn't it?”

“Yeah, maybe,” he responds casually.

She feels like he's making a huge wall between them. For the past week, he's been responsive to her, he also seems to enjoy talking to her—at least she hopes so—, but he never wants to talk about anything personal. She supposes she can understand that. She's just a stranger to him. It's too early to be open about personal things.

She wants to know which planet he originally lived on, but she doesn't know how to ask that without worrying he'd be sad. She doesn't know the condition, but she knows it must be severe enough if he has to leave the planet instead of trying to find help there. Perhaps it was bad enough to the point that no one can help them find shelter, and that's why he can't wrap his head on why a stranger—an alien, even!—would want to help him.

She tries another approach, instead of just ‘yes yes of course we'd accept you!’, she wants to try to make him understand.

“Do you know,” she says for their talk after dinner in the living room, “there was a time I woke up to at least ten people sleeping right in this small room?”

“Really?” he says. Kira'na doesn't know whether he's really interested or just being polite. Sometimes his tone is too flat for her to understand. “What happened?”

She grins at him. “My father once helped a homeless person by making him a house at the end of the street. News traveled super fast and then suddenly more poor people came to him, also asking for the same thing.”

“But they lived here instead?” He doesn't even hide the grimace on his face.

“Well, it took a long time to build everyone a house, and they needed a place to sleep. So he let them sleep here until it's done.”

“He built everyone a house?”

“Yup. Not a single one missed. Crazy, right?” She smiles at his gaping face. “But that's just who he is. Always ready to help someone in need.”

“That's why you were so quick to stop freaking out after seeing me in your bedroom.”

“Well, to be fair, he never asks them to enter my room. But yeah, I did assume you were one of the people my father helped. So I didn't panic.”

He doesn't respond to that. Instead, he looks like he's thinking hard. Kira'na tilts her head in to see him, a little curious at his thoughts.

“I bet they're just using your father's kindness,” he says bitterly.

She can't help but laugh. “Why are you so negative?”

“Because everyone's like that! Taking advantage of kind people with no resolve to repay the kindness.”

“Well, first of all, my father never asks for any kind of 'repay' or whatever,” she replies a bit defensively eventhough she's keeping her tone cheerful, “Second of all, you probably want to apologize to those people who build your room.”

His eyes widen. “They all are—?”

“Not every single one,” she says, “but most of them, yes. I do understand your point though, one or two people that my father helped were only using him and refused to be independent, but some of them do find a job, and most of them work for my father afterwards.”

He drops his head. “Oh.”

“The point is,” she continues, “My father is a generous man. He never hesitates to help anyone in need. Thankfully, he's also smart and strong, so even if someone's tricking him, he could easily chase them. It's something that I've been seeing since I opened my eyes for the first time. So you don't need to feel strange anymore that we let you live here.”

He doesn't say anything. Kira'na suspects he's still not convinced yet, but she knows she's done what she can.

“My father is…” he hesitantly starts, and she snaps her head up quickly and put all of her attention to him. This is the first time he ever talks about his life and she's not going to missed it for a millisecond. “Well, I don't want to talk bad about my father. But your father is so different from him. He's …”—he gulps before correcting himself with a shaky voice—“he was a great man, he used to teach me to not drop my guard when meeting someone new, especially someone who asks for help. Be nice, but be careful, and don't forget to find a way out just in case the worst thing happens.”

Well that's actually explaining a lot of his reactions, Kira'na thinks.

“But I guess even he, after everything he'd taught me, still failed to find a way out.”

“Is that what happened?” She expects it's okay to ask it now, since he's the one who initiated the topic. “Someone took advantage of your father and….”

“I don't know,” he cuts her, “I—I do know he … the, the perpetrator … wanted something my family had. But I really don't know what exactly happened. One second I was just coming home from school, the second after I was in the spaceship saving my life.”

“Okay,” she replies carefully. She wants to say she's sorry for what'd happened to him, she wants to say it's okay now, she wants to say anything that can make him feel better, but she doesn't know how. She doesn't think she has the right word to comfort him. She hopes being patient and listening to him whenever he feels ready is enough.

Admittedly, she's failed at being 'patient'. She makes a face at the thought of that.

A door creak sound makes both of them turn their head at the new, a bit awkwardly placed room—Kaizo and Fang's room. Kira'na sees a little face peeking shyly from the gap.

“Hello, Kaizo's brother!” she says with a forced cheerful tone. “You couldn't sleep? Do you—?”

The door's slammed.

“He hates me!” she whimpers, kicking the sofa's pillow childishly. “Did I do something wrong?”

“He doesn't. He's just shy, he's not used to having other people around,” he chuckles. “Maybe you can start with saying his name instead of addressing him as my bro—”

“Wouldn't he think it's suspicious that I know his name when I've never asked him?”

“Toddlers don't think that deeply. They actually think everyone must know their name.”

Kira'na raises her eyebrow. “That's super egocentric.”

He simply shrugs, then gets up from the sofa. “Though you might want to hear him say his name. He always pronounces it wrong.”

That certainly picks up her interest. “What? Really? How?”

It's the first time she ever sees him smile mischievously. Instead of acknowledging her question, he walks to his room and says, “Good night, Kira'na.”

“You're going to leave me wondering?” she exclaims. She can swear he snorts before closing the door.

She gapes at his abrupt development.

If that's how he's going to play, then oh, she's not going to lose.

Came here to share my Bad Omens interaction… I met the guys last year during VIP for the Concrete Forever tour. It was an extremely fast interaction. Also, I 100% understand everyone who has said that they are intimidating because they 100000% are. ESPECIALLY Noah and Jolly but this is coming from someone who is 5’3 and when I stood in between Noah and Jolly for the photo it was like having two sky scrapers on either side of me. I was VERY nervous and I’m already a very introverted and socially awkward person as is. I definitely think that the guys and especially Noah could pick up on my nervousness because I didn’t even look any of them in the eye as we shook hands and I didn’t talk pretty much for almost the entire interaction because my anxiety was through the roof. But before going in to stand between Jolly and Noah, Noah had looked down at me and asked me what my name was and I took that as him trying to lighten the mood and help make me feel a bit more at ease. Nicholas & Folio didn’t really say much, they were pretty quiet for the whole thing which so was I lol. Noah & Jolly were the main two who did most of the talking during my interaction. But from the extremely short experience they all were very pleasant and nice. Definitely awkward but that is bound to happen when you put introverted, socially awkward, and nervous strangers into a room together lol. Noah and Jolly both thanked me for coming and as I was walking to grab my phone back from Alana Noah had told me that he hoped I enjoyed the show tonight. So, super brief and short but this is also their job & they had been doing the VIP for a few weeks before I met them so I’m sure they were exhausted and just trying to make the experience as professional as possible and keep it from extending over a long period of time. We were told for our VIP that we weren’t allowed to give hugs and that if we had gifts they had to be put in a box before meeting the guys so that also made things go a lot quicker. I will say they did breeze through VIP pretty quickly for my show. But, VIP was also pushed back for my show as well so I’m sure they were on a time crunch.

I did briefly talk with Steven after my VIP photo with the guys. He was super chill and nice and cracked a little joke while handing me my poster and mask. I told him that I hoped he had a great night and stayed safe and he wished the same. So all in all, from the experience that I’ve had with the members I’ve met… they’re all super professional and pleasant. I’m sure if I wasn’t as nervous and awkward then my experience might have been a bit better but that’s 100% on me and not the guys. I was just to worried to take up too much of their time or do anything that would make them uncomfortable like asking for a hug if they didn’t want to give hugs. Like I had mentioned, this is their job and I try to keep in the back of my mind my experiences when being at work and having to be clocked in and I don’t want to add any extra stress or pressure on them while they’re clocked in. Granted, they’re not in the “average every day” career but they’re still human beings and I try to respect the fact that they had been touring and doing VIP for weeks already and were probably hella exhausted so I just went in there and got out lmao. Which hopefully didn’t come across as rude or anything to them.

That sounded very sweet. Glad he kinda helped with asking your name and told you to enjoy the show. It’s definitely gotta be super awkward to stand there and meet a bunch of other shy people.

The Sun Signs

Hi guys! So I decided to make a series. I’m going to do: each sign in each planet, each house placement for every planet, and the aspects for all the planets. This of course is going to be over the course of a month; it’s going to take a while to cover everything LMAO. I’m thinking of doing this and alternating between asteroids, “placements that make people ____”, and astrology observations. Without further ado, here’s my take on the sun signs based off of people I know:

🪁 Aries: These people are go-getters and know what they want when they want it. I feel like a lot of people associate Aries with being extroverts because they’re a fire sign, but I know ALOT of Aries and 95% of them have been shy. It’s more of the Aries moons that I’ve noticed that have been more extroverted. However other aspects in your chart can determine this. They’re also extremely competitive and very hard workers. Every Aries I’ve ever met has worked their ass off, and they keep working their asses off until they perfect everything. Some negatives are that Aries people can be super dramatic as well, and don’t take other people’s advice. Even when they ask for it, if their mind is set on something, there’s no going back.

🪁 Taurus: Boy oh boy, do these people just want to go on a 10 year vacation and not have to deal with anyone ever again. These people love the finer things in life; they most likely have a creative hobby or have a creative streak. They also love good food and they love a good nap. Now everyone says Tauruses are super chill, and honestly, it depends on other aspects in their chart. I’ve known super chill Tauruses and super chaotic Tauruses. I’ve noticed the chaotic Tauruses have a lot of Aries energy in their chart i.e. Aries Mercury and Aries Mars (no offense Aries). I’d say a downside of Tauruses is that they can be lazy because they love to relax (however this depends on other aspects) and they can be apathetic a lot. I’ve found that Tauruses can very much disconnect themselves from a situation when they have to, so they can keep calm and grounded.

🪁 Gemini: These people are social and will talk for hours. I don’t mean this in a bad way. Even the more introverted Geminis, once you get to know them they will talk for days especially about things they’re passionate about. I think it’s a cute and endearing trait. A lot of people hate on Geminis, but I don’t get it. One of my best friends is a Gemini, and she’s the most genuine person I’ve ever met. In fact, most Geminis I’ve met have not been two-faced, at least from my experience. I think that Geminis are also very funny, every Gemini I’ve met has made me laugh my ass off. Every single one. They have a great sense of humor and a very engaging personality. You can see this with Gemini politicians, they’re very charismatic and know how to entertain a crowd. I’d say the more negative side of Gemini is that they can be very flighty about what they want and while they’re social, they’re not always the best communicators when it comes to interpersonal relationships.

🪁 Cancer: I’ve found that Cancers are either extremely extroverted or extremely introverted; and this can change depending on their mood LMAO. I can speak from experience; I am a Cancer. Sometimes I feel like being social and talking; other times I hate people and I just don’t wanna deal with them. Cancers also always have a softness to them; even if they have a lot of fire energy. I don’t know how to describe it other than they just look like water itself. I’d say some obvious downsides of Cancer are that they can be extremely moody and they can be snippy. If you catch them in the wrong mood, they’ll snap at you. I’m guilty of this as well.

🪁 Leo: Again, a lot of people don’t like Leos but I love them. The Leos I’ve met have not been self centered at all- in fact they’re the exact opposite. Perhaps it’s the underdeveloped Leo suns who are self-centered, but all the ones I’ve met have always put others before themselves. They’re not cocky at all. I’ve also found that Leos all have really nice hair; this is a stereotype that’s definitely true. I’ve never met a Leo with bad hair. I’ve also found that they’re super creative and even if they don’t have a creative hobby, they have a creative flair. They’re also REALLY funny. I feel like they’re definitely slept on in terms of funny placements. This is the sign that rules “performing” in a way, so of course they’re going to be entertaining.

🪁 Virgo: My favorite sign. I love all the signs in their own way, but Virgo is my favorite. Every single Virgo I’ve met I’ve loved. I get along so well with them. Virgos are shit on for being critical but it’s because they know that the people in question can achieve so much. Virgos also save that critical energy for themselves and can tear themselves apart if they’re not perfect. These people are also always putting others before themselves and always try to help everyone. Remember the 6th house rules one’s sense of usefulness. They feel that if they’re not being useful in some way to people that they’re not good enough. I literally just want to hug every Virgo. Also they’re not boring at all. FOH. Virgos are literally so much fun.

🪁 Libra: These people are just so likable. No matter what they do, you just tend to like them for some reason. They can adapt to any type of personality and they have a way of making everyone like them. This is why Libra suns tend to be popular; they’re very bubbly and sociable. Even if they’re not popular, they’re well-liked. However, this can be their downfall as well. They can be superficial and fake. They tend to flip flop in arguments alot, and they try to play on both sides which can create more tension between two people. Also, have you ever seen a Libra try to make a decision? LMAO. Love them though.

🪁 Scorpio: Your eyes. Holy fuck. You can tell if someone is a Scorpio just by the gaze in their eyes. They stare into your fucking soul. Even if their eyes are a light color, there’s always a sense of mystery and darkness to them. Despite this sense of power they give off, once you get to know them they’re literally the biggest teddy bears. Literally just go up to one and talk to them, they’ll talk to you and be all nice and happy. I’ve noticed that Scorpios just don’t like to talk about their emotions or what goes on in their heads either. They like to look strong and they don’t show their vulnerable side to just anybody. This would be one of their downfalls. They have a hard time being vulnerable and letting people in. They look fierce, but they’re sweet and just want a hug.

🪁 Sagittarius: The funniest people ever. I’ve never met a non-funny Sagittarius. I work with two of them and they have me in tears laughing. They’re also very smart and you can talk to them about anything. Even if they don’t get the best grades in school (which I rarely see, the Valedictorian and the Salutatorian were both Sagittariuses) they always have a base knowledge about everything. They’re also extremely chill and try not to take life too seriously. I’ve found that a downside of this placement is that they can be very flighty in love. They have a hard time settling down which can be difficult for someone who wants to date them. Sagittariuses crave independence and they’re usually not the relationship types. Also they have a hard time taking things seriously.

🪁 Capricorns: My guilty pleasure. I’ve dated two of them and 75% of the people I’ve liked were Capricorn suns. I feel like people overlook the appeal of Capricorns. Scorpios are the “sexy” ones, but have you seen how attractive Capricorns can be? Remember, in Tarot, the Devil rules Capricorn, so they can be devilishly handsome or darkly beautiful. Even if they’re not the most attractive person in the room, they have an aura to them that’s intriguing. They speak softly and carry a big stick. They don’t have to impress anyone; they know that they’re powerful. I’d say some downsides to Capricorns are that they have a hard time expressing their emotions and they tend to shove them down; which can result in them exploding later on. They also have a tendency to be arrogant, and can dish it out, but they can’t take it.

🪁 Aquariuses: My second guilty pleasure. I just love the Saturn energy, what can I say? Aquariuses are such lovable weirdos. I don’t know how else to describe them. Every single one I’ve met has been unique in some way and they don’t try to fit in either. They’re proud of being different. My boss is an Aquarius and I felt self conscious one day because I had a different color shirt on than everyone else and he told me “Why would you want to fit in when you could stand out?”. They’re those types of people. They’re also really funny as well, their minds just work so differently from everyone else. They’ll say the most outlandish things and you’ll die laughing. Some downsides? You could know them for years and you’ll just find out things about them. They don’t share things about themselves and it’s hard to get to know them. They also can be very emotionally cold. They don’t like emotions.

🪁 Pisces: Softies. They’re literally soft teddy bears. No matter how big or tall or muscular they could get, you just look into their eyes and that softness is there. They’re really sweet and tend to be more introverted. They aren’t the types who go out of their way to talk to strangers at a party. They love comfort and they like to feel secure. They’re also very dreamy if that makes sense. They always look like they came out of a fantasy world. I’d say a major downside would be that they’re overly sensitive. They cannot take a joke. I remember I was telling my co worker who’s a Pisces about the negative traits of Pisces and one of them was lazy; and he got SO offended. He was like “I am NOT lazy.” LMAO.

Also guys, as I’ve said, other things in your natal chart can affect these traits. For the next asteroid by the way, I’m between asteroid Bellona and Lilith. Which one would you guys want to see? I’ve been getting a lot of questions about those two. :)
