12. Favorite turtle across all iterations?

i havent seen most tmnts, so i don't know if i have a single favorite across All iterations, exactly, but i can name my favorite one(s) from the ones ive seen! (which are rise, MM, and 87)

(i need to watch more but there's scheduling conflicts with friends and sitting down to watch new stuff is so hard sometimes WAH)

SO!! for rise, my favorites are leo and donnie (they're constantly engaged in a fist fight in my head for who's number one, tho leo tends to edge donnie out more often) bc they're both just. chefkiss. hashtag relatable and also just absolutely hilarious

for 87 i really like raphael bc he's a snarky little shit, tho donatello is also really great bc he's just. casually unhinged lol

MM raph is also really great (and also lowkey unhinged) but i like the others as well. i feel like it'll be easier to pass judgement on favorites once the show is out and we get to see them in some different situations!!

as a bonus, just judging from fanworks ive seen, i think i'd also be a fan of 2003 donnie (who is also casually unhinged from the sounds of things) andddd idk, 2012 mikey??? he's just a silly lil guy

ooooh uhhhh. prolly Any of the mikeys tbh LOL (except bayverse 💀) tho 87 raphael and rise leo and donnie would be an absolute riot to hang out with lol. i feel like the three of them together would just shoot the shit and be the WORST gossips but in like the best way lol

17. What’s your favorite pizza topping(s)?

im super lame in that my favorite toppings are just. cheese, pepperoni, sausage, bacon,,, lol. im not a fan of most vegetables, and something like hawaiian... i dont like ham at all, so that's a no from me just bc of that

23. If you could have a tmnt crossover with ANY other series, which would it be?

oooh that's a tough one. i feel like tmnt could make for some really fun crossovers with both other superhero series, and also series either based in NYC or having to do with like. weird scifi/fantasy/supernatural stuff. there's a LOT of like. aliens and robots and magic stuff in tmnt, (like WAY more than i expected going into the 87 show after rise) so i feel like a lot of stuff could be twisted to work well

ive seen some really good rise crossovers with marvel/dc, a few really fun danny phantom crossovers, and even a couple with gravity falls. ive ALSO seen a couple with sonic and some of them make me laugh so hard reading the summary that i don't think i'd be able to read them lol. the first fic i ever read with tmnt in it WAS actually a sonic crossover (that i read on ffn waaaaaay back in the day) so in a way it's like returning to my roots lol

i love seeing specific crossovers of my interests so if i see one that grabs my attention im all over it lol

more specifically, i would love to see a crossover with rise of the tmnt and american dragon jake long, and it's like. a future project of mine. i've been talking about it with a friend and telling her for Months that they have a lot in common and it would make for an interesting fic. there's some serious potential there i think!!

(on a more theoretical note, ive also done some really light brainstorming/daydreaming about a potential rise/undertale crossover bc i think it'd make for some neat scenarios lol)

Luca Headcanons Part 2

DoesLast one blew up and I was gonna wait to make another before making this one but then my Italian fish obsessed brain couldn’t stop thinking and I literally couldn’t stop myself so let’s go, part 2!

Luca:

Has nightmares of what would happen if things went differently: If he was sent to The Deep, if he and Alberto were outed as sea-monsters before the race, if Ercole, Cicco, and Guido didn’t miss Alberto when throwing the harpoons at the beach, if Alberto didn’t come with the umbrella during the race and he was outed in front of the town and hit with Ercole’s harpoon, etc. He always wakes up terrified. 

Apologizes to inanimate objects if he bumps into them or drops them.

Names everything he comes in contact with. Random animals such as birds, insects (even though he’s terrified), erasers he uses often, etc. They’re always random, silly names, but he loves them. 

Is a slow reader because of how he fantasizes himself in the books and daydreams, then is snapped back to reality.

Keeps a dream journal!

Loves making stories about the stars and constellations. He loves the original stories, but he loves to make up his own.

Honestly I just get the vibe that he’s scared of birds after the encounter with the seagull.

His favorite color is purple followed by green!

Giulia’s mom buys him his own bike and he loses his mind, loving it so much

He’s a bit awkward with making friends at school, sticking to Giulia’s side most of the time

He doesn’t really care for music

He can fall asleep anywhere, honestly. He once fell asleep leaning against the doorway and then crashed onto the floor

Alberto loves to doodle on his arms and hands and Luca doesn’t really care to wash them off so they just kinda chill there. 

He’s very easy to prank and scare

Oh you should see him around the holidays! He’s so excited! His eyes sparkle and shine, he absolutely loves the decorations!

He’s not competitive, actually. He just wanted the prize money to get the Vespa, but he doesn’t really care about winning. He just... Isn’t competitive

He is very protective over his friends. Do what you want to him, but lay a hand on someone he loves and he will tear you a new one. We see him in the movie just frown when Ercole makes fun of him, but when Ercole shoved Alberto, all bets were off.

Charts the stars

He doesn’t have one love language, he has all of them, but probably Physical Touch and Quality Time more than anything, or Acts of Service.

Drinks expresso more often than he probably should, but just to get through his schoolwork

Misses his goatfish more than he wants to admit, especially little Giuseppe

Allergies beat him up during the spring

Slowly gets used to cats with Machiavelli’s kittens, but he’s still scared of the chunky boy

A teacher at school made the mistake of introducing him to Shakespeare. He spent hours sobbing over a good chunk of the plays.

Because he liked Shakespeare, Giulia’s mom got him some poetry books. He was not a fan of Edgar Allan Poe or Agatha Christie or Mary Shelley, all the horror/murder type stuff. He loved Emily Dickinson though!

Is as terrified of losing Alberto as Alberto is terrified of losing him

While he isn’t as touchy with Giulia as he is with Alberto, he does get more touchy with her

Reads tons of books about cats, dogs, and turtles to give Machiavelli, Nerone, and Caligola the care they need

Hears about human farms and loses his mind, rapidly asking questions about how they work and if they’re similar to his own

Giulia tries to convince him that fairytales are real. He has nightmares about them for a few nights until Massimo has to tell him that fairytales are made up and her mom changes them slightly to be more... Non-scary. She starts telling them to him to bed just because she misses doing so, and then he can’t fall asleep without someone telling him a story.

Doesn’t do the handshake with anyone that isn’t Alberto or Giulia.

Giulia’s mom calls him “fishy” or “guppy” and he wants to hate it but he can’t

Hates it when people call him cute or baby him, but his family + Alberto + Marcovaldos still do it

Once heard some French Tourists and stared at Giulia and went “why is their Italian so weird sounding” and she lost her shit laughing

Doesn’t swear, refuses to swear

Tries to use Vespa stamps if they’re available

Once he learns what “Piacere, gioralamo trombetta” means, he sends a letter to Alberto which is just him freaking out and laughing while making fun of it. They don’t stop saying it. In fact, they probably say it more.

He has a map in his room with pushpins of where he’s been. Beside it are a bunch of sticky notes of where he wants to go with Alberto with reasons on why he wants to go.

Has a little bit more courage, but not too much

He’s often teased for calling others “sir” or “ma’am” and so he feels really shy about it but doesn’t stop

Refuses to call Massimo and Giulia’s mom by their names, it just feels too awkward for him

Makes friendship bracelets for the trio as well as separate ones for him and Alberto, then him and Giulia.

While he loves gelato, he doesn’t like it as much as Alberto

I feel like he’d dot the i’s in Giulia’s name with hearts but no one else’s

People at school think he has a crush on her but he doesn’t

He and Alberto still say they sleep under the anchovies. No matter how often he researches stars, he’ll always call them anchovies around him.

Sticks out his tongue when focused

Doesn’t like aquariums, he stares at those fish and he just feels trapped

Loves to dance in the rain

Does that little feet tappy dance thing when he’s excited or shakes his hands

Honestly half of his vocabulary is stern shouts of “Alberto!” “Giulia!” or “silenzio Bruno, silenzio Bruno! Silenzio Bruno!”

Speaking of, he can’t just say “Silenzio Bruno” once, it’s always him saying it more than once, especially when he’s really scared

He doesn’t have loud, aggressive sneezes, but he does have sneeze fits. Once he sneezed so many times that with every one his face got closer to his desk until it just went BAM and he has a massive bruise on his forehead for days. 

Sometimes just goes into the water and swims to relax. If he’s feeling homesick, he’ll do some daring trick and then instinctively turn to smile at Alberto only to realize he isn’t there

His dad still keeps crabs but lets Luca name them. Luca chooses to name them all after space things. Mainly moons, but sometimes planets or galaxies

Secretly feels really guilty about Alberto selling their Vespa

After almost being sent to The Deep, he is terrified of the dark and can’t sleep without a light on, no matter how dim it is

Alberto:

Matching pajamas with both Massimo and Giulia! (Refuses to match with her, Massimo yelled at them)

Tries to see what triggers his transformation. Does watermelon? Does juice? Is it any liquid? He’ll find out!

Calls Giulia “Spewlia” just to piss her off

Those two are always arguing. Yes, he often starts it

Lots of tattoos and ear piercings!

Will into Giulia’s room, stare her dead in the eyes, call her a bitch, and run out while leaving the door open. She’ll scream at him and probably throw something. 

Tends to shorten people’s names. He calls Luca “Lu,” “Lulu,” and even “Luke.” Luca does not like any of these names.

Still builds his Vespas! They’re not as fun without Luca, though

Takes Giulia with him sometimes too and purposely crashes into the sea or something just to see what she does. 

Gains quite a bit of muscle 

Is the one who takes down all the sea monster things with Massimo. He and Lorenzo carry Smuca to the fountain

Idk I feel like he has loud sneezes

I also feel like he makes that weird cough face like that one cat idk I just know I’m right

He doesn’t just sing... He scream sings

Doesn’t know how to dance but if there is music he will dance

Loves dancing in the rain too!

Sometimes he’ll just walk into Giulia’s room and gossip with her. They’ll make a blanket fort and grab some snacks and cats and just... Spend the night talking and catching up

She teaches him how to braid hair and now he just loves doing her hair

Bites his lip quite a bit. That’s canon but like, still worth mentioning

Learns how to ride a bike so he doesn’t get killed or something

Keeps a journal on things Luca and Giulia are interested in so he can learn about them. He writes down bullet points on what he remembers from conversations, but it’s honestly not much

He doesn’t have big dreams other than traveling the world with Luca. He knows Giulia wants to be a marine biologist and Luca wants to travel the world + is still figuring things out. He has short term goals other than that and changes the topic about it.

A popular headcanon is that Alberto takes care of the goatfish when Luca’s at school and I think that would happen!

He’s shockingly good with kids! When not working, he loves playing soccer with them by the fountain

He almost named Machiavelli’s mate “Frog” because he can’t name things

Half the time when Giulia and/or Luca talk about school, he goes “I don’t what that means, but I’m choosing to define it as ____” and won’t let them prove him wrong

Technically canon but he will bite. Chomp chomp.

When he meets Giulia’s mom, they love to paint together

He does make some friends in Portorosso, but none are as close to him as his sister and best friend!

This man is the most dramatic person good lord

Sometimes he thinks of Luca’s betrayal and is really angry, but knows he’d probably do the same if the roles were reversed. It was about self preservation and the risk of living. He still gets upset about it sometimes, but completely forgives him and understands

Is always torn between giving Giulia genuine facts about sea creatures and giving her such absurd but lowkey believable lies. He wants her to succeed so badly but also wants to screw her over

If you give him anything, he will play with it. String? A toy. A pen? A toy. A literal rock you found on the side of the road? A gorgeous toy, thank you!

Never just goes into the water, he will always be dramatic and dive in or jump

Sometimes when not on duty, he just blows his lifeguard whistle because he thinks it’s cool

He loves yoyos!

Will noogie Giulia.

Sometimes gets scared that Massimo will abandon him, but it seems like Massimo always knows

Città Vuota is his favorite song!

Doodles all over everything, especially Giulia and Luca’s arms and legs. They range from little stars to tic tac toe games to fish to anything that comes to mind

Is very much into photography! Luca always does hearts with his hands/fingers while Alberto does stupid poses or flips her off... or both.

Hums and sings a lot! 

Also loves to dance and is the best of the trio! Loves to twirl and vibe even if there’s no music! It’s just her personality

She doesn’t just hug, she jumps into their arms and holds them close

Sometimes just to annoy Alberto she’ll hug him and press kisses to his head and cheeks. Siblings gonna be annoying.

Always has so much energy but really struggles with sitting still for homework after such long hours in school that her grades aren’t all that good except for Astronomy!

She’s actually pretty good at making friends since she can read people so well. It’s just that Portorosso doesn’t have any.... Great kids to befriend and Genova just has too many that she sticks to a small group which eventually fades, as groups do

She isn’t the most emotional but she also isn’t the least emotional. She doesn’t cry often but she does get sad and shows it

I don’t know why I feel this way but I definitely think she’s scared of the doctor

She used to be scared of thunderstorms until meeting her boys and the race happened. Now she associates rain and storms with that win

Summer is her favorite season

She knows everyone in Portorosso by name and knows most of their birthdays by heart

Speaking of, she always celebrates Alberto’s birthday like her like her life depends on it

So I’ve been wondering what Halloween time would be like with the Shiggy. Like I’m just imagining you and Shig carve pumpkins together but the poor baby keeps disintegrating the pumpkins 😭.

Also just imaging you and Shig play fighting and throwing innards of the pumpkins just makes me blush just a little. Watching all your fav spooky movies with him and making all your favorite treatsies and snacks with him 🥺 and maybe you even get dragged into scaring trick or treaters bc Shig wants to have some Halloween fun of his own. Having matching spooky clothes/pjs with him. Mmm I into it bestie (also hi hello ily2). I’ve spent the last week writing what lowkey feels like some of the fluffiest fluff I have ever written for Bad Ideas (it probably isn’t actually the fluffiest) and it has me feeling all soft and daydreaming about cute moments with our boy.

He’s usually immature in a cranky way, too, but I can totally see him doing stupid shit like getting sick on candy or having pumpkin-innard fights if it’s with the right person. Kakyoin

Kak would be so nervous thinking about where to take you and what to do, even asking you out was nervewracking enough. His ideal date is maybe staying inside and doing something, enjoying eachothers company or such, but he knows it isnt a good idea for a first one. He overthinks it so much, but eventually settles on an arcade date.

Though it’s canon he does have experience in video games, he thinks the arcade is a fun place too, and it’s care free since you wont run out of things to do. For when the time comes when he actually takes you, all those hours before that he’s nervously pacing around his room daydreaming about winning you a plushie or teaching you how to play certain games

He easily unwinds though. He was nervous before the date but once he sees your smiling face at those bright and vibrant arcade games, his worries goes away. Its you, how could he go wrong?

Kak gets embarrassed at how many times you catch him zoning out or staring at your face while you play certain games. He thinks how you look so focused is the most adorable thing to ever exist. If he could take a picture of that and keep it forever, he would

You end up spending more time at the arcade than what you were originally planning. Although he’s a sweet boy, mans DOES NOT hold back when it comes to competitive games. He wants to show off, he wouldn’t go easy:)

Mista

Mista LOVES a good ol’ movie theatre date. He’s lowkey so cheesy but coming from him you disregard that.

He wouldn’t be that nervous before the date actually, Mista likes to think that hes smooth af with dates.

When you show up though, in your outfit that shows your form and hair that instantly makes you look even more attractive than he thought you could ever be, he’s all of a sudden nervous and fidgety

“[Name], you look so goddamn good!!”, he wipes sweat off his forehead and reverts his eyes to the floor. You reach up your hand and give him a little pinch on the cheek before you realize that the movie’s gonna start soon, and you spent too much time swooning over eachother.

Hes a typical gentlemen, so he’ll buy you as many concessions as you want, no mercy. You two giggle over the fact that you’re late to the silly chicflic he chose, practically no seats left, and how the people around you give you nasty looks.

As you two get settled next to eachother in the dim movie theatre light, it’s hard to fully focus on the movie. Mista has the best smelling cologne. You didn’t even realize that until you were sitting so close to eachother. It’s a really comforting smell, really, when you’re with Mista, you’re instantly so comfortable. You both dont even remember if you were nervous to begin with. Laughing along and giggling to the movie, hands occasionally brushing over eachother, your worries are just fully gone. Such a stupid film, but such a fun date.

When he drops your off, you leave a biiig fat red lipstick mark on the side of his face(If you do wear lipstick). He swears he never wants to wipe it off.

Joseph

Joseph would love to take you to the zoo. He thinks you’re never too old enough to have some quality fun admiring encaged animals.

Although he has a cheerful, carefree exterior, he would be nervous! He really wants to make sure you’ll be satisfied and happy. He kind of doubts his date idea but trusts you enough that you’d like it nonetheless.

And you do like it! Joseph makes the zoo way more fun than you went as a kid. Sometimes he’ll get so excited over certain animals that hes dragging you to the next exhibit. When things calm down a bit though, and you’re simply strolling hand in hand around the aquarium area, things are comfortably calming.

“Look at that stingray, [Name], doesn’t it look like Caesar-chan?”

When you’re not paying attention, he moves to give you a quick peck on the cheek, and you smile huge. You notice during this date that he’s quite bubbly, and cherish it for that moment. A thought passes you that if you and Joseph got more serious, he’d be like that more often. Your sudden thoughts made you blush, and Joseph was quick to notice.

“Whatcha thinking about?”

You shake your head and squeeze his hand in response.

Joseph makes loving so easy. He’s really all you could ever want in someone. The fun, the seriousness, the strength, the himbo, a date anywhere with Joseph is more enjoyable than you could even imagine.

Bruno

Bruno’s not really nervous actually, he knows he wants to take you on a really nice dinner date, that’s for sure. He tells you the exact time he’s picking you up, and he comes SHARP. His typical suit suddenly looks like it fit way nicer than it did before. You swear Bruno looks ethereal.

When you arrive there, it’s a really nice restaurant. It’s quite fancy, but not too fancy, it’s fit enough for a first date. You two share a bottle of wine and hold hands above the table. As you two go over some conversation topics, he carreses your hand and gives occasional squeezes while maintaining eye contact.

Bruno wants to know every single detail about you that he doesn’t already know. He asks many things to get to know you more, and you ask them back, of course.

He doesn’t really enjoy talking about himself as much, but if you insist. You end up learning a lot about his childhood and learning about his gang. He doesn’t want you to know about the brutal and morbid side of it, but he’ll happily talk about his friends. The way his face lights up when he speaks about Abba, Fugo, Nara, GioGio, and Mista is truly adorable. You feel like you knew all of them personally without even having to meet them.

A first date with Bruno is really really amazing. You express how much you enjoyed it, and he gives you a solid promise he’ll take you to every fancy restaurant like that in Italy, too.

Rohan

I think Rohan would like to take you to a local café. He’s not too stressed about it, he likes to think that he should know better than to be anxious over a simple date.

Rohan is totally laid back about that stuff. You dont come in with certain expectations, and neither does he. A nice chat over coffee is all that you would want from him.

Talking to him is, like, really fun. He teases you so much and you, of course, tease him back. I don’t think he would go well with someone who couldn’t handle at least some light teasing.

You talk about his manga, his drawings, etc. There is something that does make him nervous though. In his mind, he’s been really wanting to draw you or sketch you out. He thinks your face is so beautiful that he wants to even draw it out. Though... he doesn’t know how to ask. At all. It seriously makes him anxious. He realizes though, that this is a perfect opportunity to ask you. The lighting is beautiful in the café, and he adores how you look with the perfect angle of light hitting your face.

For some reason you can’t stop giggling when he keeps trying to tell you to stay still for his drawing. You’re just so excited and happy to get to spend that kind of time with him, especially getting drawn! He joins in laughing with you, and teases you a bit along the way.

The finished product is absolutely gorgeous, and so well done. You almost forgot how goddamn talented your Rohan was. He’s a bit nervous waiting for your reaction, and lightens the mood by saying something like “Some of it is a bit messy since you wouldn’t stop moving, [Name]!”

[slams my hands down on the table] everyone shut up its midnight and i want to talk about my assorted hartro headcanons

yes! she does make all those crafts and costumes and figurines herself! she says she has them made for the training exercise but really she just loves to have an excuse to make things. line managers generally dont make things, they instruct other people to make things, so she has to be fairly secretive about this interest.

she loooves dungeons and dragons planets and protagonists and was lowkey trying to get friends to start a campaign with her for months but the combination of it being largely considered kind of a childish nerdy activity and her over enthusiasm and need for constant control as the gm tends to turn people off the concept. she turned to trexel and david as a last resort and was really genuinely upset when they didnt play along the way she wanted.

that being said, she has MAJOR control issues. having control issues is considered an optimal trait for stellar firma line management though so no ones ever approached her about it. she gets wildly upset and panicked when things are out of her control and has no one she feels she can turn to about this! oh no!

her coping mechanisms are honestly almost as unhealthy as trexels, she just shines them up and buries them under the guise of Self Care so she never has to acknowledge them.

is bi, leans more towards woman generally / is just more picky about men. doesnt really have time for romantic relationships anyway.

her strong record and overall work ethic has always served her well but the fact that shes had the misfortune to oversee trexel all these years has left a permanent stain on her reputation. many of her coworkers regard her with pitying whispers. poor dear, such a promising career forever sullied by one bad worker she just cant seem to get under control. oh well. this attitude has not gone unnoticed by her.

she sleeps very little at night, takes catnaps during the day, wakes disoriented and groggy. whatever. it is what it is.

doesnt really have any genuine close friends. she has people she gets along with sure. mostly people from work, people she can hang out with occasionally in a social context but never really get too close to, not close enough to be any kind of vulnerable with. because of course hartro is never vulnerable, never anything less than perfect, on or off the clock.

lowkey addicted to diet trends/wellness trends/One Weird Tip Discovered By A Mom type stuff. anything to make her feel like shes improving, to get rid of this constant nagging sense underneath it all that somethings Wrong.

reads trashy magazines and tries out elaborate nail art and funky hairstyles in her free time. likes spa days and word puzzles and watching reruns of cheesy trivia gameshow holovids. probably has auditioned for space jeapordy before.

is absolutely positively loyal to the board! and never ever daydreams about what else she might be doing with her time if she wasnt bound in eternal servitude to the board! most certainly doesnt have a reoccurring fantasy about creating her own wildly popular puppet show! what a silly idea! whats with all these questions anyway! who have you bEEN TALKING TO???

Okay. I came to this conclusion because first of all, Nejire seems to have a soft spot for people who more introverted. Not only that, but Nejire also has a sort of bubbly, mild temperament that would be receptive to dry humor, teasing, perverted comments, you name it. This lady is a queen at playing it off and playing along. She’d also be most likely to laugh at all your jokes genuinely, even the ones you weren’t sure would land because she loves to smile. He. LIVES. For. Dark. And. Dry. Humor. That is some good stuff right there. He would be hanging around you all day just waiting to hear what you had to say. He’s not a people person either, in fact, he’d much rather just be somewhere cozied up in his sleeping bag. The fact that you wouldn’t get on his nerves and you’d just chill with him would really soothe his soul.

Please make him blush with the pervy, surprising comments. It’d be hilarious. He’s a person that would be difficult to catch off guard, but if you do, it’d be SO interesting. Would he make a face? Although he may be a lot apathetic on the outside, Shota cares a great deal. He’d encourage and motivate you day to day, from small things you wanted to achieve to big milestones. -sam winchester from supernatural....okay I know. I’m a Dean girl and OF COURSE i love Sam but have always wanted to be like Dean. But, I’ve actually thought about this a lot. I’m a lot like Sam (really only sam in the earlier seasons). I’m kinda the black-sheep of my family, definitely the one that starts the most trouble, definitely the one that wants to follow my own path. I can be a bit pompous sometimes- or more like falsely confident. But that’s mostly mood swings due to depression. I go through stages where I feel like I can conquer the world then turn around and feel like shit. I relate to Sam in that something inside me is broken and it ends up affecting me in a lot of real life situations. Wow this got fucking dark. I’m also silly and can be really brave! Granted, I think i’m less selfish than Sam could be. I’ll repeat though, I love him to death. 

-rapunzel from tangled: okay this one is light hearted I swear! Rapunzel has so many hobbies, loves so many things, and she’s artistic. She’s my favorite disney princess and my mom has said that i’m a lot like her. She’s also really loyal and loving and sees so much beauty in the world. 

-rue from euphoria. Yikes...comparing myself to a drug addict ain’t the best, I know how this looks. BUT. I just finished watching the show and DAMN I relate to her so much. She has a lot of mental issues and although I’ve NEVER had any drug problem, i’ve definitely had similar thoughts as her. She’s also really loving and shy. She’s precious and really sweet. And I just relate to her and think i’m a lot like her especially with my struggles. WHOOPS this got deep lmao. 

-aang from avatar. THIS ONE IS ALSO LIGHTHEARTED lol. I love aang. He’s so strong-willed when he needs to be. I like to think i’m like that. I may struggle to come into myself and take on responsibilities, and I have a lot of doubts, but in the end I get it done and I amaze myself sometimes. I also have an incredible friend group that I fucking love.

-  dark green, forests, fog, kinda like 80s or 70s grunge??? Idk what i’m even saying. Autumn, ghosts, skeletons, WITCHES. Light pink, antique stores, old books. Bleh.

- HAMILTON. I had the amazing privilege to see it in Philly with my mom!!! I love the music from it so much and now it’s like this incredible bonding thing with my mom. I already love my mom so much but it just solidifies how much fun we have together. 

4.) What is the best compliment you’ve ever received?

- I’m not sure exactly but my one friend always seems to say the kindest things. She once told me that she loves the way I admire the world. She complimented my brain and my perception of the world, which is the best. 

5.) How many times have you been in love?

- I think once.

6.) Embarrassing story or fact about yourself that makes you laugh now?

- I was so spacey as a kid and i’d get so stuck in my daydreams that once I walked right into a pole. I can think of funnier things but it’s all a blur I mean I make myself laugh everyday with my ridiculousness.

- As I mentioned, Tangled!!! 

8.) Favorite flower or plant?

- I love ivy. I once had a huge ivy plant in my room and it was like ten feet long.

- Halloween! I love spooky stuff and I love scary movies so much. It was always my favorite holiday.

- Probably something my best friend said, my cat always makes me happy, and I finished the rough draft of my senior thesis

- Oof one song? Probably The Suburbs by Arcade fire. Corny, yes, but it is my favorite song and the album it’s on got me through so much.

- Walking in my favorite park, breathing the fresh air and listening to music. It’s my favorite place on earth. 

13.) What do you, did you, or would you study at college?

- I am currently ALMOST about to finish my undergrad as an international studies major with a specialization in global health, development and environment and minors in sociology, environmental studies and spanish. Woof. Yeah it’s a lot. If I could go back and do it differently, I would have maybe done biology (and flunked), environmental science (and suffered) (i’m bad at math cause i’m gay) or something with music. My dream job is the person who picks the music for movies or tv shows.

14.) This is kind of a weird one, but which outfit of yours makes you feel most like yourself?

- my favorite (like i’m telling you if a sweatshirt could be a soulmate) pink floyd sweatshirt. It’s gray with a rainbow design and cropped and it’s so fucking cozy, I feel so safe when I wear it. Then I guess leggings and white converse.

- okay I have a folder of playlists called “I Think It’s Time to Fight God” and it’s study music. I have three playlists of study music: “Pretentious,” which is classical piano music, “Calmy Study,” which is like movie scores and stuff, and “For Fuck’s Sake, Study,” which is like electric rave music and shit. It’s shitty rave music but it keeps me awake lmao. (Listen to Twenty by Vicetone if you wanna do homework at 3 am)

up in arms (1944) [x] there appear to be no links to this anywhere online so idk where you would watch it, but, holy shnikes. this is the beginning of the film career of MY BOY danny kaye. i’m in love with danny kaye. i’ve been in love with danny kaye since i was nine. i used to have a danny kaye themed url. i’ll be reccing more of his readily available movies later but like... i love danny kaye.

arsenic and old lace (1944) [x] this clip is the only thing you need to know about this movie. well, that and it’s got cary grant and peter lorre in it.

wonder man (1945) [x] [x] the first of the danny kaye movies where he plays 2 people. not readily available but still a fuckin’ fabu movie. if you speak spanish fluently, there is a copy here. fun story, this was the movie that convinced me that dan was some kind of poorly disguised trickster sun god.

my favorite brunette (1947) [x] [x] this one also stars bob hope and dottie. it’s so funny. it’s got lon chaney jr and peter lorre. idk i keep reccing it to people lol.

the secret life of walter mitty (1947) [x] this is another danny kaye movie. in fact, it’s the first one i remember watching from way back when. it’s all about a daydreamer who’s daydreams get a little too real... oh and it involves this song.

abbott and costello meet frankenstein (1948) [x] [x] about as far from a horror movie while still being idk kind of a horror movie? is there a word for a comedy with slightly suspenseful moments? idk, but this was another one i watched a million times during my childhood.

the inspector general (1949) [x] [x] another danny kaye movie!! this one is readily available on youtube in varying quality. i just linked the first one that i saw, but i’m sure there’s a better quality one floating around somewhere.

1950s

on the riviera (1951) [x] [x] and another danny kaye movie. this one also has gene tierny who is arguably the most beautiful woman in the world. and he plays two people again. it’s so good. the one i linked to is kinda shitty quality, but it’s worth it.

knock on wood (1954) [x] [x] more danny kaye!! this one is a fun little musical (which all of them are really, because my BOY was a song and dance man) but it includes this scene. 

rear window (1954) [x] [x] yay!! finally a movie that might actually be normally included on a vintage movie rec list!!! this is a hitchcock flick. yes, he was a royal douchebag. but this is a good movie. mostly because of grace kelly and jimmy stuart but like, watch if you can!!

mister roberts (1955) [x] another movie that might actually be recced by normal people!! i would link u the trailer, but, honestly, this scene describes the movie much better.

the court jester (1955) [x] this movie was a Formative Influence for me. danny kaye in this movie is the reason that i love gentle boys. the songs are catchy and it’s so technicolor and cute. 

me and the colonel (1958) [x] [x] *incoherent crying noises* pls its so good (yet another danny kaye movie)

the hound of the baskervilles (1959) [x] [x] this one, despite being made by hammer horror, is not really a horror movie. it’s a sherlock holmes movie. and it involves my bae, peter cushing. who i dedicated my url to. and maybe at least 50k words of fanfiction but that’s irrelevant. 

1960s

on the double (1961) [x] sorry that all these are danny kaye movies, but i love this one. 

ten little indians (1965) [x] [x] a silly little mystery based on an agatha christie story

“What? (Y/N)? Where? I can’t see them! Ned help!”

He avoids you the whole day.

Making you worry you said something wrong.

How could you have said something wrong you only said “Hi” to him this morning before he basically ran off?

But then after school he blurts it out like he can’t hold himself any longer!

“(Y/N) I’mtotallyinlovewithyouandI’vebeenholdingthisforprobablyforevernowsoIjustwantyoutoknowtha...”

You make him start again because you didn’t understand a thing.

“I-I love you...”, he stutters and your mouth falls open.

He thinks he messed things up because you don’t say anything in response, you just stand there, doing nothing but stare with your mouth wide open.

And he slowly backs away making big hand gestures whilst saying he’s terribly sorry for ruining your friendship and all that.

But then, out of nowhere, you hug him, so tight, he can feel your pounding heart against his chest.

Your warmth makes him fall in love even more...

“Peter you dork! I love you too!”

“What? But... I... Really???”

You just nod your head, eyes wide and smiling from ear to ear.

And Peter doesn’t know where this newfound confidence came from because he kisses you, the exact same way he had dreamt about every single day.
