no I'm not saying people only watched the show cause whatever actor was in it, just that bailey's claudia or jacob's louis is the only version of those characters for them, if they're not into the books or haven't seen other adaptations. book fans are more loyal to the overall property cause they've already seen multiple versions of these characters and already care about them in the books. louis and claudia are meant to be almost equally important in the second half of iwtv and i know i would completely lose interest in the whole show if jacob was suddenly recast so I do get why some would feel that way about bailey.

Just gonna throw this out there cuz its been a while and antis have gotten a lil too overconfident so Im just gonna give a little reality check and some hope to the fandom since its our month right now and so Im here to spread some positivity for our month, since I know antis would love to try and ruin it for us, I aint gon let em.

As much as antis will try to convince you guys that KawaSara is dead yatta yatta yatta dont buy it, its all gaslighting, their using the unknown to try and pretend its something definitive when there isnt

They try to tell you they hate eachother yet wheres any panel that shows this? when have either of them said they hate eachother? you wont find anything because it doesnt exist, they base it solely on the fact that they got mad over a disagreement [which Boruto did too but nobody said they hated eachother] and that he 'tried to kill her' [which he didnt it was a sparring match and he flat out says he wasnt tryin to kill anybody] and then their conflict in 78, which still doesnt count as Kawaki trying to kill her, he tried to SPARE her cuz his only target was Boruto, he told her not to intervene and she did anyway, and even after saying he was only giving her one chance he STILL gave her another chance to live instead of killing her and Boruto both, which he didnt have to do if he genuinely wanted to kill em both.

They try to use the timeskip chapters thus far as proof they hate eachother but notice how the timeskip conveniently hasnt let them interact at all let alone really even mention eachother? so how are antis convinced theres this deep hatred and hostility between them when they havent even interacted or said how they feel about eachother at this point in time?

And lastly they try to use their lack of interaction as a gotcha as well, but literally SS had the same exact issue, in case ppl forgot Sakura was away and didnt interact with Sasuke for 3 yrs straight, Sasuke was their enemy at the time and he had chosen to walk the dark path, and after their first reunion their interactions since then were few and far between and yet their an endgame ship, so why is it different for KawaSara? and the difference is Kawaki and Sarada actually have an even bigger advantage than SS did because they've been together in the same village for those entire 3 years, they very well could've had plenty of interactions off screen we're unaware of for all we know.

But antis will try to convince you that all of this is a bad thing, that this is all a ship ender, that theres no chance at all and its too far gone etc etc but like I said this is all gaslighting bs.

KawaSara isnt dead, far from it, and the reasons antis use for why the ship is sunk are all bs, they simply use the unknown [the assumption of no interaction, the assumption of them hating eachother, the assumption that Sarada doesnt/wont forgive Kawaki etc] but if you take a moment to really think about their points [or lack thereof] you'll see its them forging a narrative out of their own theories rather than whats actually canonly stated.

You could easily take Sasuke stabbing Naruto in the heart and nearly choking him to death as him hating Naruto and genuinely wanting him dead, but obviously that isnt the truth and we all know it, but could you make that argument? yea if you just look at everything at face value you can argue everytime Sasuke tried to kill Naruto it was out of hate and genuine want for him to be dead cuz he couldnt stand him, but again we all know thats false.

Its the same for KawaSara, you can easily argue at face value that they hate eachother based on surface level reading like 'he tried to kill her, they argued with eachother, they got into a fight, that means they hate eachother' but anybody with critical thinking skills and being objective can tell that no, thats not the case, theres way more nuance than that.

So anyway to cap this off, dont let the antis get to you and dont fall for their bs, their gaslighting you with the unknown because their scared of what their ACTUAL thoughts and feelings about eachother actually are and WHAT kind of interactions they possibly had over this time and what interactions they WILL have in the future, so heed my words when I tell you this...

Their not confident in the unknown they try to gaslight you with, their actually terrified of it, because literally anything could happen right now and they know it and it scares the hell out of them because just as Ikemoto could reveal that yea they despise eachother now, he could also reveal their actually cordial but Sarada obviously doesnt agree with his methods and is working against him regardless, no different than Naruto and Sakura disagreeing with Sasuke and working against him.

Im not claiming to know exactly where the story is headed [unlike some ppl] but I can make educated guesses based on experience and knowledge of many tropes and how their used etc but thats a topic for another post.

In conclusion, dont let them fool you by pretending that they have the upper hand here, they dont and they know it, until we get any real info/insight on whats happened between Kawaki and Sarada over this timeskip its anybodys game at this point so dont lose hope and dont listen to the haters.

Trust me when I say its not over yet, I cant convince you to believe me, but I hope you can atleast trust my judgement because I havent been wrong yet, and if you think I have well just look at this old bingo card I made way back about what would be changed/removed in the anime and how much of it I actually got right vs what I didnt

This was early in the Kawaki arc btw that I wrote these, completey forgot about I had made it, came across it again months later and realized just how much I got right.

This was after the Boruto death chapter and everyone was theorizing how everyones gonna react to his 'death' etc and I saw from a mile away none of that was gonna happen and it was all gonna be resolved and sped past in a single chapter tops and rushed right into the next plotline and guess what? I called all of that, only thing I didnt get exactly right was the Kawaki and Hina and Hima thing since they didnt even show him interacting with them after that so...didnt exactly get it wrong, it just wasnt shown so we dont know what happened between them fr fr.

I have more moments of me calling the future but this gets the point across enough, I cant force you to trust me nor am I trying to, just saying if you were unsure if you could just take my word for it like those 'trust me bro' sources, I wanted to assure you that Im not and that I really DO be knowing what Im talking about.

Anyway, its up to you from here, trust me or dont trust me if you want, but just know antis are only talkin shit like they are now because their scared now more than ever but hey dont take my word for it, lets see how this goes.

Note: How does any of this relate to Ksu and Kda? because antis insisted Sumire was gonna fake liking Kawaki because of omnipotence to hide from Ada that shes unaffected only for her not to hide it at all, and antis tried to argue that Kawaki and Ada will work together now and he'll get closer to her over time only for them not to be working together in the slightest and for them to be just as distant as they were before. So yea all the negative things they try to gaslight you with for KawaSara, their doing so as a smoke screen so you dont see how their bs is actually slippin through the cracks.

Concept: a dragon ball fanfiction that is totally antagonist-driven and plot heavy and long and well-written and enthralling and, like, it really seems like the author knows what theyre doing and everything has a place. 

But in all of this theres also ample time for domestic stuff bc it’s a slow-build, or bc not all characters are involved at all times . And it takes place during a time where trunks is a teenager and he has braces for his shitty teeth. and as a reader youre like LOL. Wonfder why they chose to give him braces. But you dont really think abt it much.

But then also theres this subplot in which goten and trunks have been hanging out lately , playing video games, going to the skatepark, etc and youre like Oh thats sweet . Anyway let’s see where the main plot goes.

But then that subplot doesnt leave and FOR SEEMINGLY NO REASON what happens is that goten keeps trying to get trunks to eat gummy worms bc he knows it’s bad for his braces + and thats all cute and funny to see them bicker + but then goten just seems starngely transfixed on this bizarre idea of there being METAL in his MOUTH and this culminates into him eventually getting trunks to let him lick the candy out of his braces.

and again THIS IS A WELL-THOUGHT OUT STORY .. everything has a place .. everything feels thematically relevant in regards to itself AND the source material .. so WHY does trunks have braces WHY are they eating name-brand gummy worms? Like the author made that up. Why.

and it just gets weird like we can see how goten is having a hard time understanding this metal mouth situation and he doesnt like it and is vexed abt it but it also disgustingly intrigued and haunted by it .... Everyonbe keeps trying to explain to him the purpsoe of braces but hes just inconsolable. Hes like “It Just Aint Right. It’s not natural.” and Gohan tries to explain “Well see it’s like how i wear glasses, i cant see so well so theres glass on my face! But thats not that strange to you, is it?” but goten cuts him off and is just like IT’S NOT THE SAME THING.....

Anyway. We also see how Trunks handles this. And we see how sick he thinks it is that goten keeps doing this to him and at the same time we see the wordless, desperate fervor he exhibits where he sneaks down to the party store to buy more gummy worms with cash, how when the cashier lightheartedly says “hey kid, you know gummy things arent good for your braces, right?” trunks barely emotes and just hands him the money, we see how whenever he knows goten is coming over he plants these bags of candy where he thinks goten will see them just to put the idea in his head . We see how when they hang out it’s totally normal and comfortable until goten ntoices smth on the counter yonder and goes “woah. woaaah. Are those gummy worms? WOAH. Well. Dont mind if i do..” and then it’s like a ball drops and the evening is not the same as trunks just waits for the inevitable when goten is like “Hey you can have some too i wont tell your orthodontist..” and then tries to feed him these damn worms.

and trunks is saving face so well and exhibiting disapproval at the prospect of goten stick his tongue in his mouth but also he deosnt fight back THAT hard . Like his disapproval is genuine but so is the way that he wills himself to turn the other cheek.  And every time Goten leaves Trunks is in the bathroom scubbing his teeth and picking his braces clean and just trying to fucking breathe and not vomit. The thrill and the disgust are interchangeable. 

AND AGAIN. This is a perfeclty conventional and engaging dragon ball fanficiton. YOPU CANT FIGURE OUT WHY THIS IS HAPPENING?

And either you never get an answer OR you finally find out at the very end WHY this has been happening. It’s so when at the crux of the villainry, they refuse to form gotenks, thus giving the plot the proper dire kick it needs. 

Like things got TOO uncomfortable between them like their subplot get its climax in which Goten is like "WAIT WAIT WAIT. They put METAL in your MOUTH so that your TEETH will MOVE?" And he already knew that but hes just realizing it in full context again. And Trunks doesnt know what the fuck hes supposed to do about the desperate fervor that lives in his chest and makes him hide gummy worms in his room for Goten to find. And maybe this does just culminate into them making out and it's WEIRD becasue it's not like theres anythinf between them but platonic comfort and fearful disgust. And they do this and Goten deosnt even care about it becasue without the sweet tang of gummy worm flesh and the tart effect of the sour dust it's sort of underwhelming. Like the metal and teeth thing is still fucked but again it's underwhelming like hes done this before but with candy and so this is just underwhelming. And they do this until they stop and then Goten goes home ... ?

And so later, in the climax of the main plot, theres a situation where they REALLY need another strong fighter. And they're sort of getting their shit kicked in. And Bulma is hiding amongst the wreckage and her son flies down to see if shes ok and shes like “IM FINE BUT YOU NEED TO GET YOUR ASS OUT THERE.. WASNT GOTEN JUST WITH YOU? GO MERGE WITH HIM OR SOMETHING!” and trunks is just like Um. Well. About that. I dont really think that’s neccessary .....

and like the stakes are so high right now but theres this pocket of comic relief where we have time for Goten to stand there with his hands in his pockets kicking rocks around and for Trunks to be like "Hey. So. My mom says we have to fuse.." and for Goten to go "Yeah. No. I dont really wanna do that...."

And you cant really say no to Bulma so they try to fuse but they dont really do it bc they keep being like "hold on my postures off" "uh I think your ki's off" etc etc and it's becasue they're kind of nervous and completely uncomfortable for obvious reasons. And Bulma just cant fucking believe what shes seeing right now.

And so. The justification for that whole sub-arch is that so at the end, Goten and Trunks arent available to form Gotenks. Ok. Sure. Everything has a place. The ends justify the means.

...BUT DO THEY???? DO the end justify the means??? ISNT THERE ANY ROOM FOR COMMENT ON THE MEANS THAT WERE CHOSEN... SURELY there are a MILLION other ways to get to that same functional end. SO WHY??? WHY??

Again to reiterate this is a great and good fanficiton. A right proper read. It feels in chatacter and relevant. SO WHY ... DID THAT HAPPEN .!!

like idk this has been an issue for me since i was a teen. part of it is the borderline & trauma, part of it is that i grew up with people getting married around this age already i think and a different conception of marrige (not necessarily always a better one). but..... for too many years i have wanted something that most people my age considered - and still consider - much too serious, and much too much. not marrige - i think its a good idea to wait at least 5-10 years for that lol - but.. i am tired of people who only take. i am tired of being the one who cares more. i have no energy or interest for playing games, or for highschool like mentality or immaturity.....bpd or not, its still hard for me to be in a relationship. it takes a lot out of me; vulnerability scares me to death and it takes a lot to calm down my trauma brain... its not something i feel like putting myself through for something unserious or uncaring... and i always end caring a lot, "too much," and i always end up too loyal. in all honesty i dont think theres something That wrong with it, and im tired of people taking advantage of either of those things....... and im tired of people who dip when things get hard, when you need them, when its not convenient. because. thats sure as hell aint what i do when i care about someone.... and for gods sake, every relationship is work, it has difficulties, it requires patience and communication and commitment when problems inevitably arise........ like sorry. im 22 but im much too tired, feel much too old, and have seen much too much horror, care too much, and been too lonely to have it in me for modern casual dating culture lol....and after all these years of being like "well you should just accept you care too much and want something you wont find so you should just settle"... uhm. maybe how about no.. maybe i actually want from someone what i myself am willing to give ?

there's something so charming about hunter, but in a soothing way

it doesnt mean she cant be silly ofc, but her eyes reflect so much of her moods and personality

when she's with the eagle she looks calm and gentle and much of the expressions she makes are towards the eagle; when nimue gets the bird, when the godslayer stuns the eagle and got one of the flaps and at the end of the game when he corrupts the eagle completely there were always a close at her face to show us how worried hunter was towards her friend

it's as if the eagle highlights hunter in some way, cause if you think about it hunter is not really an important person; she's an outsider and a stranger, and eagle mother is there not only to push her forwards, but she also works like this excuse to develop what lies inside hunter - her feelings

the more i think about, like no human(oid) character in the pathless have a mouth, which is an interesting decision - may it be because the animator said "nuh uh i aint doing this" or because they had other intentions - having no mouth makes it harder to humanize a character cause to do so you work around facial expression mostly

for characters like the diver or the little guy from journey it works cause humanizing them is not the focus - they are vessels for the player to experience the message of the game, much like a blank page, but hunter is a more defined type of character, she's not only for the player to control; there are instance where she speaks for herself (literally), she reacts towards her environment (like when she groans when she hits the ground), it's a bit of "i exist in relation to others" kind of thing i dont even know if this explanations make sense

the thing is, if you gonna hide the mouth (and it's funny cause they got rid of the mouths but not of the speech), to deliver something believable you have to put extra attention in other places, like eyes (which is probably the reason why they made her eyes big, for emphasis) and corporal expression (i love all of hunter animations like ALL of them, the idles are so cool and my favorite has to be the climbing one HAVE YOU SEEN THAT CREATURE)

another aspect that locks my eyes on hunter is her color palette; she feels a bit like 60% red and 40% black which an almost dangerous distribution cause it gets near the boring looking too evenly palette, but i feel like this problem is partially solved by the color choice cause black and red is very iconic (but i see that this can be subjective, so take it with a grain of salt)

to give some examples: im typing from an nitro acer (black red palette), you can see cars with that bright red (+black of the tires), and i can name a few characters with red+black combination, like matoi ryuko from kill la kill, kaguya, that masochist from that cassino games school (she's iconic i will recognize but i wont lose my time googling it i dont wanna know details about that anime)

(also if i had to point a match for hunter from another media....... kikyo my beloved i fucking love you my gay awakening i kept watching inuyasha cause i wanted to see you on my screen omg)

but at the same time her color scheme puzzles me: what does it mean? usually color is used for storytelling or readability purposes

hunter red black contrasts very well against the greens/whites/oranges of the landscape, mostly bc it's highly saturated; but then you get to the boss fight and......

i know that the boss fights dont take as many screen time as exploration but considering that they are the action moment hmm idk the math aint mathing here

well what's about storytelling? a bit of the same problem shown on the above image; hunter shares the color scheme with the corrupted tall ones and godslayer which makes things even more confusing

(seriously am i stupid and didnt see the obvious hint everyone else saw and im just here staring at the walls idk)

that said i have come up with my own worms to explain this and it comes down to: it's not from the land/natural

godslayer and the corrupted tall ones shouldnt exist, they are not natural to this world and actually an evil twist of the reality; hunter not necessarily is corrupted, but is also not natural (from the island), she's an outsider, it's about this feeling of not-belonging
