kinda funny to me that here its considered a thing that only old racist white ppl do to bring up someones race or physical characteristics in conversation or when introducting them in convo except this is exactly what everyone at works talks like and were all immigrants and im the only one here who can b considered white

man even on the days i dont wanna go to work i often leave so ??? thankful for this job actually its crazy. dont get me wrong its Hard but a)its so nice to feel like im doing something that actually matters b) its so nice to b attached to your residents and to b with them and to know they care abt u too and to get hugs and little gifts from them c) i cant believe i work in a place where i vibe so hard w most of my coworkers and so often we actually miss each other and help each other out and hang out and talk and laugh and care and hang out outside of work and i get hugs and kisses at work like?????

#managment has issues but probably one of the few places where 'were like work family' is a real statement

Today is Armenian genocide remembrance day. On april 24, 1915 started mass deportations of hundreds of Armenian intelectuals and community leaders, who were (most of the time) eventually killed. Armenian women and children were systematically r//ed and forcibly converted into islam. There were more than 2 milion Armenians in ottoman empire prior to ww1, 1,5 milion of them were viciously killed. Three millennia of Armenian civilaziation in eastern Anatolis was fully destroyed. Turkey today refuses to acknowledge genocides of christian minorities in early 20th century.

Do you know that mass ethnic cleansing of Armenians in ottoman empire inspired Lemkin to coin the term 'genocide'?

Last year in september azerbaijan allied with turkey initiated a war against Armenia. More that 5000 Armenians were murdered, thousands of Armenia families had to live their ancestrial land to not get murdered. There are hundreds of vids on internet where armenian p.o.w.s are tortured. Recently azerbaijan opened a "museum" displayind dead or dying Armenians and kids were allowed to visit it.

me trying to explain my theory that balkan ppl are Like That because for hundreds of years we lived in a conflict ridden region in which we were subjugated by foreign powers or we lived through serfdom under shitty lords or we lived through slavery and genocides and general bad times opression thus making it in our spirit to break rules as historically breaking the rules was part of our continued survival and necessary. thus today, not just bc of more recent traumas but old ones, being a peoples which have a tendency to be unserious, find ways to work around things, and break rules

that lady i was asking for song recs about has become completely unresponsive. cant drink water, hasnt eaten or taken her meds in 5 days :( she opened her eyes twice while i was there and petting her and theyre so red, she goes right back to sleep after :(..... ive been taking care of her almost every day that im at work for 3 months now :( its hard to watch her get worse.....comforting and rewarding that we are the ones trying to make it as comfortable as possible. i hope she will pass soon, because its coming soon and i dont want her to be tired for more than she has to </3

#usually people want for someone to not pass on their shift but. i hope shell pass on my shift i wanna see her one last time #man....

If a worker who isn't the owner says ANYTHING similar to "I'm not really supposed to do this but-" and then does something that helps you, under no circumstances inform the business, including through reviews. You tell them that the worker was polite, professional, the very model of customer service and why you like to go there. You do not breathe a word of the rulebreaking.

came into work to hear from my cw that the hospice lady i was asking abt has gotten even worse and theyre delivering her a hospital bed and moving her room (which i understand for space but it makes me sad they have to move her to another room thats empty for the remainder of her life :(. apparently a whole bunch of family came over to visit her today tho which is good
