Paradise Circus - Chapter Twenty Five.

“Fuck yes, pound me, oh my god!”

Pregnancy sex. There was absolutely nothing like it, everything heightened, nerve endings buzzing from the lightest of contact, skin tingling with ebullience, except light contact was the very furthest thing Darla was experiencing that morning as Tommy railed her so hard, he was scared he might go through her. He did vouch for it, though, if she went overdue. This was day three, and she was so pissed off and uncomfortable at their son’s refusal to make an appearance that her boyfriend was in a perpetual state of exhaustion in trying to bring about her labour.

He wasn’t complaining, though.

“If your water breaks all over this bed, Imma be so pissed,” he panted, grinning to indicate his joke.

“It’d be the most voluminous squirt of all time, huh?”

He couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “You’re filth, cookie monster. I love you, though.”

As he fucked her, he had to wonder a few times if her water was on the verge of breaking, she was so damned wet, his cock coated in the gloss of her arousal, driving into her until she reached her squealing peak, thinking that if his neighbours were home, they’d likely be tired of all the sex noise by now. She’d become a lot more vocal over the last few weeks, and he loved it, but perhaps for Kevin and Bonnie, the home working couple next door, not so much.

“Oh, god. I’m dead. He better get here soon; I can’t keep up with three times a day. I’m an old man at thirty-three!” Tommy groaned, resting his head to her bump as he slid from within her, kissing the huge swell. “Hey you, before your mama kills me, hurry the hell up, kid!” He then spoke, gently prodding the side of her swollen belly.

“I’m obviously a good baby oven, he’s entirely too comfortable in there.” she exclaimed, catching her breath as Tommy got up to go and take a shower, leaving it on for Darla, who could only just about squeeze in through the doors. It was just as she was rinsing her facewash off, mindful not to get her weave too wet and have to endure endless drying, that she realised coming for a shower at the moment she did was a very good call.

“Finally! We have lift off!” she exclaimed at her waters breaking into the bottom of the shower, breathing somewhat of a sigh of relief. She’d been having little twinges all morning, but assumed them to be nothing more than the usual that led to nowhere. After she’d gotten out, dried and dressed, smothering her face in lotion and braiding her hair, though, she soon saw they definitely lead somewhere.

“Oh my fucking god! Oh, that was not good, really not good!” she winced, taking a deep, nervous breath as her first proper contraction hit her, hanging onto Tommy’s huge forearms and setting the timer on her phone as soon as the pain began to subside.

“Is there anything I can do?” he asked, stroking her back.

“Nope, no I’m good for now. Did you cancel your clients?”

“Shit.” In the excitement and, if he was honest, nerves that it had finally started, he’d neglected to call the people he was due to train that afternoon, feeling bad that two of them would now be waiting aimlessly for him at the gym. As soon as he’d done that, he was back by her side, looking concerned.

“Tommy, it’s alright. You don’t have to glue yourself to me. This will take a while. It could be hours until you have to take me to the hospital, so you can go and do stuff if you want?”

“Everything is done already. How about we watch a movie, or keep marathoning Stranger Things?”

“The latter! I can’t believe I fell asleep one episode in!” she announced, picking up the remote off the table and switching the TV on. She got herself comfortable, Tommy pulling the coffee table closer and resting a cushion on it for her feet, stacking the rest behind her as they settled to watch.

“Oooh, oooooh!” she exclaimed after half an hour.

“Contraction or action reaction?”

“Action reaction. That thing is nasty,” she replied, pointing at the horrific monster on screen. Five minutes later, though...

“Oh fuck, fuck, fuck!”

“Just breathe, baby. You’re all good. Deep breaths.” Stroking her back, he watched her control her breathing as she leaned forward, the folding at her waist seeming to help with the fact that she felt like her womb was being wrenched open. Twenty seconds later, and she was fine again, That was the way it went well into the evening, her contractions only reaching the five minutes apart mark and lasting close to a minute at around 9pm, Tommy packing her things into the car while she called the hospital to let them know she was on her way.

Forty minutes later, and she was in her room, considerably less calm than she had been after being told her active labour would likely begin shortly, her dilation at seven centimetres.

“It hurts so much! I can’t do it, I can’t. I’ve changed my mind!”

“Baby, don’t panic. You can do this, you can.” Tommy reassured her as she walked around the room with him, too uncomfortable to sit still. If she had to give birth standing up like a giraffe for the sake of being comfortable, she would do it. The midwife had told her that whatever she wanted was good with her, that she’d adjust to her wishes.

“Oh, you would say that! You’re not the one about to push something the size of a bowling ball through something the width of a hosepipe!!” He tried not to laugh, but couldn’t help it, Darla giving him a dark look before she eventually laughed a little. “I’m sorry if I get snappy, I’m just scared.”

“I expect a barrage of abuse going forward, you telling me how it’s all my fault, I’m never allowed to come near you again, etcetera. I’m good, you yell at me all you like if it makes you feel better.” She did, too. She spent the next few contractions cursing him to hell and back, before thinking better on it. He was her partner, here to go through this with her and be supportive, Darla softening a little, but still venting her fear over what was to come.

“Tommy, what if it tears my cooch apart? What if... ouch, fucking shit! What if I’m rendered un-fuckable? What if you never want to have sex with me again?”

“Okay, calm down. Trust me, I’m gonna wanna have sex with you again. Whether you’ll want to let me anywhere near you after this is another question entirely, though.”

She had a little cry at that moment, hugging him tightly, the pain unbearable. “I’m so scared! It hurts so much. I really don’t think I can do this!”

He moved her back to the bed, sitting her down, moving himself to sit behind her, stroking her bump as he rested his chin on her shoulder. ��Now listen, yes, it’s gonna hurt, it’s gonna suck, but you know what? You’re the strongest person I fucking know. You got this, and I’ve got you, alright?”

“I can’t!” she continued to wail, gripping his arms, another contraction hitting her.

“You can, baby. You absolutely can! I know you’re scared and in pain, but it’ll so be worth it.” He encouraged her, the nurse offering her the gas. She took a few big huffs, her head suddenly spinning a little, everything now decidedly better than it had been in the minutes previously. It still hurt like hell, but she cared less. This she could do.

She did, too. After eight hours of scary pain, wailing, screaming and exhaustion, at 6:02am, Opie Michael Brendan Conlon-Cooke was delivered, placed into his mother’s arms as he howled, all eight pounds and eleven ounces of him, his parents overjoyed beyond comprehension. It had been a long, tumultuous road to arrive where they were, but they were there. Finally, they were there.

After she had delivered the placenta and been cleaned down by a kindly nurse before leaving the birthing suite, she sat and held her son back in her room, tired, in agony, but more content than she could remember. There he was, her son. Their son, carefully passing him to his daddy for another hold, their baby looking so very tiny in the huge arms of his adoring father, Tommy kissing his head.

“Next to your mom, you’re the best thing to ever happen to me, Opie.” He told him tenderly, stroking his cheek with his fingertip. “He’s perfect.”

“Isn’t he?” she confirmed, squeezing his arm. “We make damned gorgeous babies. I might let you help me make a few more one day, once I forget how horrific the last eight hours were.”

He smirked, leaning to kiss her forehead. “I’m so damned proud of you. You did so well.” Looking down at his son again, he laid another kiss to his head as well, his new baby scent the best thing in the world. “Your mom is a total badass, little man.”

The total badass fed her son for the first time shortly after before taking a nap, Tommy going out to get her some food at her request since the hospital lacked anything both good and vegan, taking the opportunity to call their loved ones and let them know Opie had finally arrived.

He got back to the hospital just as it was coming up to 9am, both Darla and his son sleeping when he entered the room quietly, deciding that rest was a very good idea. He remembered Tess’s wise words, the last time he’d visited her and Brendan. ‘Sleep when the baby does and you might manage to get longer than half an hour at night.’ He’d drifted off within minutes.

When he awoke, it was to the sight of Darla and the baby all cuddled up together, her smile so serene. “Look, tiny boy. Your daddy is awake.”

Checking his phone, he saw he’d been out for two hours, now sure if he felt better or worse for it. What he did feel better for was being able to take them both home the following day. In the day prior to that, he, Meadow and Heather and his brother had driven back and forth between his place and Darla’s, ferrying all of her stuff over. It made sense, that she actually officially moved in, spending almost all of her time at Tommy’s place over the last few weeks of being pregnant.

Everything larger was divided between Brendan and Meadow’s garages before being sold when they got a moment, Darla requesting that they take the duplicate baby items Opie wouldn’t need now his parents lived under the same roof down to Goodwill so someone in need could benefit from nice things.

“He’s so tiny,” she marvelled, sitting on the couch with Opie lying asleep on her thighs. “He felt the size of an elephant when he was coming out!”

“I still think you’re badass for that. I can’t even comprehend how painful it must’ve been,” he marvelled, shaking his head.

“Painful just didn’t even cut it, it was horrific, but he was worth every ounce of it. Yes, you were, lil’ chunky cheeks!” she exclaimed, cooing softly and cradling him to her chest when he began to fuss. Tommy beamed at the scene in front of him, Darla an absolute natural with their baby. She took it in her stride completely, always so present and ready to fulfil whatever need their son required. She reminded him of his mom, something that made him feel a little choked up.

Their first day home was spent relaxing and getting into a routine with Opie, finding him to be a good, but very hungry baby who truly only fussed if he wanted to be fed, changed or cuddled. The day after, they got to introduce him to his godmothers, Meadow and Heather coming over with a lunch they’d prepared at home, save the new parents having to worry about doing anything in preparation.

“Oh my god, oh! I swear, I’m not just saying this because he’s my godson, this isn’t bias, but he’s the cutest little baby I’ve ever seen!” Meadow gasped, sitting down next to Darla, her hands over her mouth. “Hey, tiny boy, hey! I’m you’re auntie Meadow!”

Darla beamed, turning to look at Tommy, him and Heather hugging. It was such a beautiful moment, Heather eventually coming to crouch before her wife as Darla gently passed over Opie to Meadow. “These beautiful ladies are going to be the best godmothers on earth, little man. Yes, they are.”

“He’s adorable! Like a teeny, tiny Tommy without the broken nose!”

“Hey! My broken nose makes me distinguished, I’ll have you know!”

Heather snorted. “That’s what you’re telling yourself.” She bobbed her tongue between her teeth, her joke being met with an eye roll as she laughed, turning back to Opie and kissing his head. “Oh, that new born smell!”

Darla beamed. “Isn’t it the best?”

“Ahhh, the absolute best!” Meadow agreed, stroking his cheek with her fingertip. “And how are you, after the birth?”

“Damned sore! Fourteen stitches, I feel on fire,” she revealed, the women wincing, Meadow moving up to make way for her wife, handing Opie over for her cuddle turn. “And Tommy has a partially numbed hand for letting me bite on his wrist while I was in the final stages of pushing him out. Thanks for that again, honey.”

“Well, I wasn’t wearing a leather belt, so it had to be something.” His joke had the women in fits as he pulled up his sleeve, showing off the purple bruise. “Besides, I can’t even fathom that amount of fucking pain, so it was only fair I go through some myself for her bringing our boy into the world. Anyway, I’m gonna leave you ladies to coo. Who wants drinks?”

Three coffees and a green tea were requested, Tommy leaving them to it and heading for the kitchen. They stayed for a further hour before Opie needed to be put down for a nap, Tommy and Darla deciding to snooze while he did, curled up on the sofa together, their baby in his bassinet beside them.

They slept well, Tommy waking first before either of the loves of his life, looking at Darla, sound asleep on his chest, and then over at his son, snuffling softly in sleep. He smiled, realising that as soon as they’d both entered the house after Opie’s birth, all of his guilty feelings about Cassie, his fears over becoming his father, they’d melted away. Looking between them, he realised that the only fear he had would be if he was good enough for them and their expectations, because truly, they were the only ones that really mattered to him.

Finally, he’d found peace.

Well, members of the Moon Sparks system ! We figured out it could be nice for the whole system to get a sideblog instead of making a blog for each member as not everyone is as chronically online as the host-host, me, Léa/Léo/Kevin (also going by "Moon" to a few members). I guess I'm going to be the main writer of the pinned, haha. I'm the main host and the core I guess (we're still new to proper system terminology haha). I type like this ❢ You may see me use "❢" instead of "!" and a few kaomojis with flowers too. I'm a boyflux ace panromantic lad from France. As for other members, it depends on who wants to use the account ❢ We're like, about 30 members big ? That's a lot of potential bloggers, don't you think ? Least Favorite Books of 2022

I thought I’d start on the lowest note so we can only go up from here. Plenty of these books are like. Fine. But they turned out to not be for me at all, which kinda punches you in the face when you’re expecting the exact opposite.

Also, by way of a content warning, a few of the books had unexpected (and sometimes graphic) SA scenes and/or student/teacher “relationships,” which I’ll probably mention because those are some of my book deal breakers.

Anyway, here’s my ranked 10 least favorite books of the past year (read this year, not necessarily published in 2022).

10. Kill the Farm Boy (⭐️⭐️) by Delilah S. Dawson & Kevin Hearne In the tradition of Monty Python, a rag-tag bunch of unlikely heroes adventure to find (or resurrect?) the kingdom’s Chosen One and break a few curses.

This comes in at number ten because I’m mostly just disappointed that I didn’t like it. The audiobook is acted/narrated fantastically, and I found the premise promising. I did mainly read this simply because I want to read the second book, so my hopes weren’t exactly high, but the humor in this is just. Very much not to my taste. I appreciated the diversity and the tropes it was satirizing, but it never managed to satirize them to my satisfaction, I guess. For instance, there’s a woman in a chainmail bikini – who is a well-rounded, strong, independent character – but she does remain mostly in the chainmail bikini (for ~magic~ reasons), largely against her will. It’s a fun read for the most part, but I guess I wished it had pushed the envelope a little further. I do think I’ll read the second one because it’s more of a “same world” series and that is the one that interested me more in the first place, but my hopes aren’t all that high.

9. Nightshift (⭐️⭐️) by Kiare Ladner When cog in the corporate machine Maggie meets the mysterious and elusive Sabine at work, she follows her new friend when she switches to the night shift, upheaving her life.

This is low on the list because I don’t think it’s a generally bad book. I was just really unprepared for the direction of dark in which it went – there is a rather graphic public gang rape scene without much of any warning. I also felt let down by the concept of the “toxic female friendship” that the premise promised. It also falls into that trope/voice/genre that I call “millennial ennui” in which basically everyone’s depressed without recourse to recovery (bc the problem is late stage capitalism) so they try fucked up sex stuff. I think the book could work for certain audiences but it did not provide what I was looking for when I picked it up.

8. Rabbits (⭐️⭐️) by Terry Miles There is a game that blurs virtual reality and reality – and K, who has been obsessed with the game since childhood, finally gets a way in.

Another one that makes the list through fault of being simply disappointing. I’m so into meta-narratives (as we’ll see on the favorites list) and this one simply did not make me question reality enough. I wanted nightmares, I wanted existential crisis. All I got was a linear scifi narrative. I also maybe sabotaged myself bc I was rly bored abt halfway through and noticed that no [3rd person] pronouns were ever used for K, who narrates in first person. The simple solution would be that they’re a non-binary gender who doesn’t use pronouns, but knowing it was written by a man, I began reading through the lens of a male main character, which made everything just that much more rote and predictable.

7. Into the Water (⭐️⭐️) by Paula Hawkins A single mother is found at the bottom of the river where a teen girl was found six months earlier; the woman’s daughter and girl’s best friend is now in the care of her estranged aunt as the two of them attempt to unravel some answers.

This made me angry by not delivering the promise of the premise. Essentially, there’s this water fixture in down (sort of like a lake that the river feeds into/out of) that throughout the history of this little village, women have died/drowned in. It opens up with a callback to the witch trials of “if she floats, she’s a witch” but then does nothing to connect previous deaths to the current story. The story also deals with what women suffer through at the hands of men, which was expected to a degree, but there is a sexual assault and a student/teacher relationship, and while neither were extensively detailed, neither felt handled entirely correctly to me. Also, I was largely annoyed that the majority of the book hinged on everyone in this town hating the dead woman for wholly asinine reasons, most of which shouldn’t’ve have persisted after her murder.

6. All the Feels (⭐️⭐️) by Olivia Dade In anticipation of the fantasy show’s final season, Lauren is tasked with babysitting Alexander, the cast’s resident trouble maker.

This was just. Wholly disappointing. I enjoyed the previous book in the series, Spoiler Alert, and I like the premise of movie stars and plus-sized heroines but this one was so convoluted and confusing to me. First of all, there’s a line between establishing a heroine as “not conventionally attractive” and describing her as ugly or undesireable and I felt that it leaned far too much into the latter. Next, there was so much focus on lust and sex with so little payoff – spoiler alert, there’s not even a pegging scene 😤 which was the only thing i was holding off dnfing for. And finally, the actor+fan gimmick was nearly completely absent here. It also didn’t work that we’d seen the majority of this story through the other characters in the previous book and that their inner journeys were so frustratingly convoluted. Just overall upset by what this one did not give.

5. The English American (⭐️⭐️) by Alison Larkin When the English Pippa connects with her American birth parents, she moves to the US to try to discover a piece of her she feels is missing.

This in the middle of the list because it was middlingly bad. It’s a women’s fiction from 2008 with no real literary bent and a predictable plot. The writing style was fine but the characters were all insufferable and the story was stiflingly outdated. Probably wouldn’t have finished without the audiobook, which was quite well done.

4. After Alice (⭐️⭐️) by Gregory Maguire Alice’s friend Ada falls down the rabbit hole after her, while Alice’s family search for her above ground.

This one was just a slog, and I think the audiobook hindered more than helped. This read like the driest historical fiction, despite having actual scenes in wonderland and even catching glimpses of Alice herself. Makes me quite scared to tackle wicked, especially if the audiobook is narrated the same (old posh pretentious british) way.

3. Struck by Lightning (⭐️⭐️) by Chris Colfer High school senior Carson blackmails the most popular students in school to participate in his literary journal that will boost his college application.

I initially picked this one up because I couldn’t remember whether the book or movie came first. This story is very obviously initially intended as a film and lacks any depth or nuance I’d expect from a novel. The first person narration comes off as very juvenile while covering serious topics making the tone wholly (and unintentionally?) absurdist. Think this one should’ve stayed a movie, and I’m betting his fantasy books are much better.

2. Hitched (⭐️) by Carol Higgins Clark PI Regan and detective Jack are getting married, but just weeks beforehand, Regan’s designer dress (and four others) are stolen.

To be fair, this one is quintessential grocery store mystery/thriller fodder, so it was really no surprise that it’s bad. But it’s bad. What struck me is that the wedding dress mystery does not carry the story, though that’s what the synopsis implies. The writing is so simple and straightforward that there’s about 12 other mysteries shoved into the book to sustain a full-length novel. It’s supposed to be twisty and suspenseful, but the mish-mash cast and non sequitur mysteries are so fully disjointed that all attempts at suspense fall entirely flat.

1. How to Hack a Heartbreak (⭐️) by Kristin Rockaway Mel is stuck in the dudebro atmosphere of a startup incubator when she decides to build an app to log harassers and abusers from dating apps.

I have never felt so betrayed by a book as I did reading this. I had expected a general formulaic genre romance with maybe some insight into gender issues in the tech sphere. Instead it was a bottom of the bargain bin sex and the city episode moralizing that women were just as manipulative online/on apps as men. I didn’t mind the “fade to black” style, but the romance overall was negligible, and even the main character’s “finding herself” journey was shallow. It’d be one thing if this were a rebrand/new cover release of a book written in maybe 2002, but it was published in 2019. I can’t believe I forced myself to finish it and I regret doing that to myself and to this book.

Light blue tease - John Stones

Not based on a specific request but my dirty mind needed this (since I’ve been thinking about John every single day of this past week).

The moment you laid your eyes on that beautiful lingerie set you immediately thought of surprising John, he surely would have appreciated it but he wouldn't have to know till the day of the Champions League quarter finals against Atlético de Madrid. What better occasion to wear it than a victory against a tough team?

He was at home when you bought it and you tried to act as if nothing special was hiding in that shopping bag you were carrying in your hand.

"Did you do some shopping?"

"Nope, just bought some things I needed for the house"

"In a pink bag?"

"So? Is there something wrong?"

"You're hiding some naughty things in there…"

You pretended not to hear him and went straight to your walk-in closet to put the bag away, waiting for John to leave the house for training so you could try it on and wash it. Before putting it away you took a last look at it, already playing in your mind the moment he would see you with that thing on; you couldn't help but smile to yourself.

"Baby, I'm off to training" He said quietly, entering your bedroom. The unexpected sound of his voice brought you back to reality making you jump and putting his present back in the most unreachable part of the closet, hidden by some of your bags.

"John! You scared me!" You breathed out, a hand holding your chest, where your heart was racing.

Molly made a quick recovery and things went back to the usual routine. For her. Tom found himself wearing his better workout clothes. The ones without the holes. And wearing cologne and shaving.

“Did you shave?” Molly asked one morning, running her hand over his chin.

Tom’s smile faded, and he started shaving only once or twice a week from then on.

“I need you to go shopping.” Tom mentioned one day on his way out.

Molly didn’t glance up from her reading. “Just make a list and I’ll go to the grocery store today.”

“No.” Tom fidgeted. “There’s an event. A party.” He cleared his throat. “For Marvel.” Tom tugged at his hair.

Molly’s eyes bugged out. “This isn’t just some party, is it?”

“No. It’s a big deal. All the stars will be there. Kevin Feige and some other execs. Think you handle it?”

Molly smirked. “Piece of cake, I have been charming VIPs for years. What kind of look do you want? Sweet wife or damn that’s his wife?”

Tom pulled her close. “Somewhere in between. Have Emma help you. I have no idea where to buy women’s clothes.”

Molly grabbed her phone and dialed Emma.

“So where does someone go to get a cocktail dress in this town?”

Molly caught Tom digging in her wardrobe the morning before the event.

“What are you doing in there?” Molly called out from the doorway.

Tom jumped and hit his head on the door. “I… I… was… just looking to see… if…” he sputtered, searching for a story.

“If you could see my dress before tonight.” She waved a hand, gesturing Tom out of the room. “Out.”

“But I need to make sure we coordinate.” Tom whined. His fingers lingered on a garment bag.

“That’s my wedding dress.” she sighed. “If I give you a color, will you yield?”

“On my honor as a gentleman.” Tom smiled.

“Black. Now leave. Your sister is coming over in a few hours to do my hair.”

Tom wrinkled his nose. “How long does hair take?”

She patted his cheek. “Oh you sweet summer child.”

Tom did the best to ignore the giggles coming from Molly’s bathroom. He fiddled with his jacket and shirt sleeves. He selected a black tweed-like suit with a grey shirt and tie. They should coordinate, he thought. For photos.

A loud burst of laughter came from the bathroom. Tom strolled over and knocked on the door. Emma popped her head out.

“She’s not ready yet.”

“We need to leave in fifteen minutes.” Tom countered.

“Give me ten.” Emma shooed him away. “Now go away.”

Tom shoved his hands in pockets. “It’s my house, you know.” he muttered.

“Our house!” Molly piped up from behind the door.

Emma turned to her. “Don’t engage. It only encourages him to stick around.” Emma’s head snapped back to Tom. “Why are you still here?”

“I’m going! Ten minutes, Em!”

Tom paced the living room floor. Twelve minutes later, Emma stepped in and cleared her throat.

“I present your stunning wife.”

Molly stepped into the room and Tom’s breath caught in his throat. This was unlike how he had ever seen her before. Her tiered ruffled black dress hit right above the knee. Cut low in the front and back, it was sexy but not scandalous. Her hair pulled back into a low chignon.

“Yeah…” Tom breathed, staring at Molly, who fidgeted in place.

“Thanks.” She caught the time. “Shit! Tom, we need to get going. Thanks so much, Em.”

Emma hugged Molly. “My pleasure. Next time we use the big bathroom. Or maybe my brother will renovate that bathroom to a his and hers.”

“Huh?” Tom frowned, glancing at Emma.

Emma giggled. “That’s my cue to leave.” She hugged Tom. “She really is your match, Tom.” Emma whispered in his ear.

Molly waited until the door shut before reaching over, playfully smacking Tom’s chest.

“Brilliant acting job there! You had me going for a moment there.”

Tom chuckled. “Right. Right. Let’s go.” He wrapped his arm around her waist.

Molly wasn’t lying when she said the party would be a piece of cake. She charmed everyone she spoke to. Tom most of all. He beamed, watching her from across the room.

“You are positively glowing, Thomas.” Benedict sidled up next to him. “I guess that means the rumours are true.” Ben sipped his drink.

“Hmmm?” Tom turned to his friend, lost in thought.

“Earth to Tom.” Ben mocked.

Tom frowned at him. “I’m sorry, something distracted me. What was the question?”

“Would that something be that young lady charming Mark Ruffalo, who is sporting a pretty diamond on an important finger?”

“And they said you shouldn’t play Sherlock.” Tom mocked. “That young lady happens to be Molly.”

“And what would be Molly’s last name?”

“Hiddleston.” Tom muttered.

“Is this a mysterious third sister?”

Tom threw Benedict a derisive glare. “Why don’t you just come out and ask the question, Benedict? It’s not a sister, that’s my wife. I got married. There, happy?” Tom huffed, downing half his cocktail.

“Yes. But more importantly, are you happy?”

Tom glanced over at Molly, laughing at something Mark said. “I am. I really am.”

“Then, congratulations.” Ben clinked his glass with Tom’s.

Molly sidled up to the bar to catch a breath.

“Cranberry and soda with a twist of lime.” she ordered, leaning against the bar.

“Finally a moment alone with the belle of the ball.” A deep voice said next to Molly.

She turned to face none other than Chris Evans. He sipped on a bottle of beer, wearing a black on black suit with a brown tie. It shouldn’t work, but it did.

“Captain America, himself.” She smiled and extended a hand. Chris shook it. “Pleasure to meet you.”

“Most people just call me Chris. And you, what do people call you?” He flashed a smile which she returned.

“Molly.”

Chris took another swig of beer. Molly licked her lips, watching. “So what do you do, Molly, besides charming the pants off of everyone in the room?”

Tom’s head snapped around at Molly’s laugh from across the room.

“Excuse me for a moment, Ben. I think Molly needs me.”

Benedict’s furrowed at how Tom could know that. Then he spied where Tom was beelining. The bar where Molly and Chris Evans stood in quite the animated conversation. He snaked his way through the crowd to get a better view.

Molly giggled. “That is too funny, Chris. Is it true that…” she sensed someone behind her. It was Tom. “Tom!”

“Oh you met Molly.” Chris offered.

Molly snorted. Tom’s hand wrapped around her waist, squeezing tight. Her stomach fluttered at Tom’s touch.

“I have.” Tom snapped back. “She’s my wife.”

“Oh shit!” Chris held up his hands. “I’m so sorry man. I had no idea. Congratulations. That’s quite a girl you got there.”

Molly smiled and relaxed against Tom. He kept his death grip on her waist, but he did smile at Chris.

“Darling, Benedict is dying to meet you. Can I steal you away?”

Molly twisted to gaze up at Tom, cupping his cheek. “Of course, love.” She reached out to touch Chris’s arm, not noticing Tom’s smile faltering. “Steal away.”

Tom leaned down and kissed her lips before leading her away.

After a quick chat with Benedict, Molly excused herself to the bathroom. Ben leaned into Tom.

“What the hell was that?” Ben hissed.

“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Tom tugged on his jacket.

“I mean that little territory marking over there with Evans.” Ben commented. “You practically whipped it out and peed on her.”

“Don’t be crude. I was just… making sure Molly met you.” Tom lied.

“Bullshit. You were jealous. Why? She married you.”

Tom sipped his drink. “It’s complicated.”

“Then explain it to me.”

“Not here.” Tom hissed.

“Then lunch, tomorrow.” Benedict offered. “Just you and me and the truth.”

Tom paled. Molly came back and wrapped her arm around him.

“Did I miss anything?”

“Nothing. Other than me missing you.”

“Aww.” Molly leaned her head against Tom’s chest. “I’m going to the bar. Do you gentlemen want anything?”

Tom perked up. “I’ll come with you.”

Ben mumbled into his glass, emptying it. “Just whipping it out.” Tom shot him daggers.

“What was that?” Molly questioned.

“I am just heading out.” Ben said, covering. “Sophie will be expecting me.”

Molly leaned over and kissed Ben’s cheek. “I can’t wait to meet her. She sounds delightful.”

“She is.” Ben nodded. “Tom.” He extended his hand, and the two gave a quick hug.

“Benedict.” Tom responded tensely.

Tom stuck to Molly’s side for the rest of the event. She appreciated the attention but was a little sad she didn’t get to finish up her conversation at Chris. She could swear Tom was keeping her from Chris. Molly shrugged off the feeling.

She chattered on the ride home.

“That was a lot fun, Tom. Everyone was nice.”

“They were.” Tom responded, gripping the steering wheel tight.

“Mark, Ben, Chris, and Robert.”

Tom bristled at Chris’s name. He plastered on a smile. “But I’m the one going home with you.”

She placed her hand on top of his and ran her thumb over his knuckles. Each swipe sent electricity through Tom.

“I hope I was convincing. You don’t think anyone suspects?”

“What?” Tom glanced over at her. His voice grew more tense.

“About us. The whole fake marriage.”

“Oh. No, darling, you were perfect.”

He lifted her hand to his lips, kissing the back of it. The first true thing he had said for most of the night. Molly wasn’t just lovely. She was perfect. Damning and infuriatingly perfect. And he was in love with her. And she wasn’t in love with him.

Tom feigned being exhausted once they got home.

“I’m off to bed.”

“Me too.” Molly pulled off her black pumps. Tom headed towards his room. “Wait. I forgot! Will you get my zipper? Emma had to do me up.” She spun around.

Tom gulped. “Sure.” His fingers shook as he tugged the zipper down. His fingertips grazing across Molly’s back. Her skin soft and warm.

“Th.. thanks.” Molly stuttered.

“You’re welcome.”

She held the dress up by crossing her arms in front of her. She kissed Tom’s lips. “Night, Tom.”

He kissed her back, not how he wanted to. He wanted to rip that dress off of her and push her against the wall and kiss her until she lost her breath and then kiss her some more. Just for good measure.

He leaned back. “Good night, Molly.” His voice low and soft as if he didn’t trust to speak too loud. As if he would spook her and ruin everything.

Molly’s head dropped, and she headed to her room, door clicking shut.

“Shit!” Tom yanked his tie off. “Real fucking smooth Hiddleston.”

Tom begged off their run that morning, claiming he was too tired from last night. In fact, he didn’t get up until he had to leave to meet Benedict for lunch.

Molly sat up when Tom came into the living room.

“Are you feeling okay?” She beckoned him over and she pressed her hand to his forehead. “No fever.”

“I’m fine. Just tired.” He kissed her cheek. “I appreciate your concern, though. I’m off to meet Ben. Think you’ll be okay for a few hours without me?”

“I think I can manage.” Molly mock pouted. “But hurry home.”

“Yes, darling.” Tom smiled and gave her a quick peck before walking out the door.

Ben was already seated when Tom arrived at the pub.

“Look like shit, Tom.” Ben commented.

“I didn’t sleep well last night.” Tom grabbed a menu and ordered a coffee and water.

“The wife keep you up?” Ben sipped his beverage.

“Not exactly.”

“Yeah, what is that all about? And why would you be jealous of Evans?”

Tom groaned. “Can I at least get my coffee?”

“Nope.” Ben grinned a wide grin.

Tom sighed. “Okay so here is what happened…”

Benedict sat there silently while Tom relayed the whole sordid tale. He left nothing out, not even Clive.

Tom gazed up at his friend. “Say something, Ben. The silence is deafening.”

Benedict pressed his fingers to his lips. “And Luke doesn’t know?”

“No.”

“And not your mother?”

“No. Just you.” Tom huffed. “And Molly.”

“Obviously. Seems rather simple.”

“Simple?! How is anything simple?! I am in love with her, Ben.” Tom stabbed at his food. “She’s all I think about.”

“See, simple. Tell her how you feel.” Ben smiled. “The two of you are already married. Seems like you skipped all the hard stuff.”

“And when she rejects me? Not so simple. I can’t lose her.”

Ben stared at his friend. “You really are blind, aren’t you? I saw how she looked at you last night. There is something there, and it is not you paying off her student loans. Molly genuinely cares for you.”

Tom’s brows raised. “You think so.”

“I know so. Now let’s come up with a plan for you to woo your wife.”

Tom grinned.

Molly settled back onto the couch, only to be interrupted by a knock on the door.

“Tom?” she called out while moving to answer the door. “Did you forget your key—” She stopped short upon seeing who it was. “Oh, Chris.”

Evans stood there wearing a plain tee that clung to his classic A-frame torso. Molly stared for a bit.

“Hi!” He smirked at her.

“Um, Tom left to have lunch with Ben.”

“Actually, I am here to invite you out to lunch. We never got to finish our conversation.”

“Let me grab my coat.”

Chris grinned as Molly grabbed her purse and coat before locking up. He slung an arm over her shoulder. “Now where is a good place to eat around here?”

Some south park bois bullshit (warning, some ideas/headcannons are heavy and it's obvious who's my favorite and who's the one I want to drop kick into the sun)

Kenny:

Kenny's first role in his acting career was McCormick

He was based off of his experiences

He is also pansexual and Genderfluid

one of the guys would pay for his lunches, mostly butters

Eye color changes after every death (will sometimes have heterochromia)

Scars remain after every death

The morning after a death, he will still feel the pain from that death

Like the wound is healed but it hurts like it's still fresh

who did you first notice in tbz and why? Hmm, this is hard to say. Before I was a deobi, I saw moots talking about Sunwoo and Changmin because they biased them, and I also heard of Eric (and his friendship with Felix) from said friends, and also learned that there's two more English speakers called Jacob and Kevin. I then got shipped with Younghoon once so I looked up their profile to look at him (and the others). Then I decided that Chanhee is the one who catches my eye most and called him /a bias/. After that, I noticed Hyunjun because of his airport fashion that I adored. And eventually it was Kevin and his cute self as Simply Kpop MC who caught my eye so much that I decided to stan (he's still my bias while Chanhee is my most dangerous bias wrecker haha). But honestly, I'm not sure which member I noticed first as I heard of some members through friends and not because I noticed them on my own - soooooo, you guys decide, idk.😂👉🏻👈🏻

favourite laugh in tbz? This was so hard to decide... tbh, I really like Moonbae's laugh because - and I might be biased here - my own laugh is a mixture of Jacob's giggles and Kevin's mute suffering/dying 🤚🏻😭 But I also really like Chanhee's and Sunwoo's laugh, they're just so straightforward and loud, it's endearing :'))

first tbz song you ever heard? uhmmmm, I think that was actually Boy because I watched their music video when they debuted (I thought a group called "The Boyz" that debuts with a song called "Boy" was super hilarious, so I wanted to check it out ajxjjsks) but I didn't start stanning them back then :( As you can see, sometimes I make bad decisions haha

1 unpopular tbz opinion? hmm, I don't think this is an unpopular opinion?? But idk what would be one since I don't really keep up with fandoms' opinions as I focus more on the artists (fandoms - in general - can be toxic, so I prefer not to engage too much and keep fangirling among my friends/mutuals - in a space where I feel comfortable and safe to express myself), so I'll just talk about /an opinion/ - not knowing whether it's unpopular or not akdkskd. So, tbz are still a bit of an "underrated" group, they've gained a lot of new fans through RTK (edit: I wrote this - all questions - before kingdom) but still, I feel like they deserve more recognition, especially for their performances. I feel like they're one of the best 4th gen performers (I will never forget RTK Reveal stage and Reveal/Checkmate MAMA stage - Hyunjae and Sunwoo going up on that thing - that I don't know what it's called in English - is SO AMAZING, LIKE WHUAT??? Honestly, these will always belong to my favourite performances because it was seriously mind-blowing.

So yes, I just feel like they'd deserve a lot more appreciation and recognition for these amazing stages that they deliver!! They must be working SO hard and they're so in sync and just aaaah, it's so satisfying to watch them dance and perform, you know. The world is missing out,,,,🤧🤧

which tbz member is most similar to you? I actually rewrote this answer because I always thought it was Kevin... I still believe we have lots in common but I recently found out that - astrology wise (according to the pattern app) - I'm /very similar/ to Jacob!! The pattern app tells you how similar you are to other people based on your birth charts and there's similarity levels from: very different < somewhat similar, but mostly different < similar < very similar and I kid you not, I've probably looked at my similarity level with at least 100 people (idols, family members, friends) and while I've gotten "similar" with lots of people - Kevin for example - I've only gotten "very similar" with 3 people so far. And one of those 3 people just so happens to be Jacob, so wow! I had no idea that we're that similar based on our charts - but I guess our air sun and shared Leo rising and also shared Virgo & Pisces placements make it make sense ෆ╹ᴗ╹ෆ sorry for the ramble, I'm still so overjoyed with being so similar to him🤚🏻😭

They would be a more introverted couple, many cozy home dates and soft moments.

Woozi + Carrie @art-hao - Freaking power couple!!!! Two extremely talented people that will love and appreciate each other a lot. I can see them working on lyrics together with their deep minds and maturity, but both can also be silly and cute and aaahhh they would be perfect

Hao + Gabi @myunqho - These two!! I feel like they would be those couples that loose track of time and go until morning having deep talks about life, past, present and future... I can clearly picture that. Gabi let me be your mother-in-law!! Hahah

Bughead Appreciation Day 1 Except It’s Day 2

So I spent yesterday nice and cozy in bed and put this off (good choice, tbh, I was very snug as a bug), but now, now comes the time for me to gush about some people in the fandom! This is definitely not a comprehensive list, I have absolutely left some people out because I am very forgetful, but, in no particular order and under a cut because I’m a wordy bitch:

@tory-b: A delight and a dear, leading writer of monsterfucker!Betty, co-runner of @riverdaleprideandjoyzine, a legend and a friend, we have no choice but to stan. Her stuff is so good and varied and just *chef’s kiss* a delight, two favorites of mine are Fangs/com/Match (Betty/dragon!Jughead meet via monsterfucker Tinder, has some great friendship moments with Kevin and Veronica and is v sexy and funny, features the horniest Betty) and Sticky Sweet Serenade ((past)-friends-to-enemies-to-lovers bughead, mixes up some statuses in Riverdale, excellent mystery, I remember reading it and going, “holy shit, a believable take on Northside!Jughead”). I’ve also gotta mention Whats in a Name? (Betty and Jughead meet on tumblr, Betty writes poetry and Jughead is a shitposter, they slowly connect, it’s great) and To Balance the Scales (scientist!Betty/mermaid!Jughead, currently a slow build, I cannot wait for you guys to see the excellent worldbuilding she’s done). I could keep going, or you could binge all her fics today, an excellent use of your Saturday, I assure you, because I’ve left a lot out.

@stillhidden: Always good for some great thoughts on the show, one of the best reasons for my your thoughts on Riverdale please show them to me tag, I get psyched every time I see a Riverdale text post or ask answer because I know I’m in for a good time. Thoughtful and funny and nice, what a combo!

@satelliteinasupernova: So talented! Author, artist, co-runner of @riverdaleprideandjoyzine, funny, haver of good thoughts on Riverdale is there anything she can’t do? No, there is not. Every time I see her art I’m like !!!, the colors! how well-drawn the hands are! the accuracy of their hair! the backgrounds! the way I can see the love in their eyes! I cannot even, there are no words. Also! Her fics! So original! One of my earliest memories in the fandom is reading The town called Riverdale (a sort of mystery about the meta fuckery going down in Riverdale, explores time loops, stories that control lives, the roles the Archie characters are “supposed” to have, a mash-up with concepts in Princess Tutu that requires zero knowledge of Princess Tutu) and going !!! is this a Princess Tutu mash-up? Have I been #blessed enough to see a mash up between Riverdale, a story that fucks with archetypes, and Princess Tutu, one of the shows about fucking with archetypes and the way stories ontrol lives? I was and I am and I raved to my non-fandom but Princess Tutu liker friend about it. Has also wonderfully tackled eldritch horror in return to Eldervair and gothic horror/romance in The Lady of the Manor, does fluff, does angst, does it all, so go check her out!

@go-ldy: An angst and time skip queen, tbh, and always has some great thoughts on Riverdale, another reason I’m glad I have that tag. Every time she answers an ask, I’m like, “Yesss, incoming Good Thoughts, I am HERE for this”. But do not sleep on her as an author! Into the Deep is some delightful dark!bughead, and I’ll walk with you in the shadows is such good time skip angst and a mystery and there’s a certain surprise I love but is a spoiler but you simply must read this, you must. The Time after Time series is giving us that good angst bughead content that season 5 is not going to, and I’m so glad it exists and just thrilled that she trusted me to beta it. I’m leaving a lot of stuff out though, so you should go check her out!

@milajovovich: One of the best gif makers in the fandom, I will fight you on this. Makes absolute miracles with footage, the way she makes season 4 webrips look like they’re actual blurayrips is godly, they’re so crisp and so smooth and the coloring is always great. And like, jesus, the way the bluray footage looks? Fucking outstanding, the talent is off the charts. Go marvel at their gifs, go, go.

@imreallyloveleee: A prolific, talented author and funny to boot! loveleee is one of the people who has been here since the beginning, a mainstay in the fandom, and we are so, so lucky she hasn’t left. How do I even begin to rec you some of her stuff? She can write smut with fics like burn, baby (a 3x16 missing moment of bughead fucking in the car as the trailer burns, what a gift to the fandom, I can’t even), is queen of pining with fics like boy problems (season 1 post 1x05 canon divergence, a bughead get together but with that quality pining) and her i’m just a shot away series (two fics, one from Jughead’s POV and one from Betty’s, that are fully of pining and sexual tension and miscommunication and major teenage vibes, you gotta read them), and writer of one of the funniest fics in the fandom and one of my favorite, like spirits in the night (the core four + Kevin perform a seance to contact Jason Blossom and yes, it is just as funny as it sounds, perhaps even funnier). And there are countless others, so settle in and go check her out because she does it all, fluff and angst too, I just don’t have time to rec them all.

@meditationonbaaal: Absolutely one of my all-time favorite fic authors, like across fandoms, the talent, I cannot even properly describe it, like the quality of the prose, amazing, iconic. the devil’s daughter (a season 2 rewrite with some differences in season 1, jumps back and forth through time in the best way, has the best and creepiest dark!Jughead, has some great smut that includes dom!Betty and dom!Jughead can you believe we are so blessed, such a good rewrite of season 2, and you know how I love season 2, so that is some high praise, let me tell you) is easily in my top 10 all-time favorite fics across the many, many fandoms I’ve read many, many fics of, and you simply must check it out, you will not be disappointed. develop, stop, fix just blew me away as a kink week fic of bughead playing with bdsm in a dark room, the layers, the smut, the trust, the feelings, I cannot even. And doll parts! doll parts is so good, just such an amazing take on drop dead gorgeous, a fabulous Jughead and Betty as per usual, dare I say even better than an already fantastic movie. I am behind on loose lips sink ships, but I can already tell it’s going to be a great exploration of the Stonies and a great take on season 4. Keep an eye on her stuff here and here, do not miss out!

@dieqohargreeves: An icon and legend in gif making, just makes the most beautiful and intricate and creative gifs. The coloring is amazing, the techniques are amazing, that shit is Art, I will fight you on this. You gotta check ‘em out, you just gotta, I can’t do their work justice.

@sullypants: The wit! The humor! The observational skills! The talent, my god! Sully is the genius behind @bettycooperoutfitwatch and @riverdalearthistory as well as a fabulous writer of both meta and fic, yet another excellent reason for me to keep up with others’ thoughts on Riverdale. Her a comic miniverse series is so funny and sweet and such a great take on the Archie Comics version of bughead, and the after-party series (Betty and Jughead attend a, well, prom after party, and the events that happen, and I am not doing it justice, but it is v good, I promise) has such a great vibe and such great characterization. And young adult friction (librarian!Jughead is in a kind of competition with librarian!Betty, it’s so funny and so great) is such a delight, and we do not have time to get into everything great she’s written, but go check it out here.

@lilibug--xx: The queen of bughead smut, can you believe she has graced us with her stuff? It is steamy and it is in character and it is amazing. Dark Cherry Chutney is still a fandom favorite of mine, just some great dark!bughead who are unaware of each other’s darkness (but oh, they find out!) as well as some excellent smut. And Pressed for Time (Betty teasing Jughead with her skirts in an effort to get him to fuck her and he is barely holding on until he isn’t, alternating POVs in the best way) is sexy af but makes you work for it, it’s a delight. And give you mine (Betty and Jughead fuck at work and it is so hot, I can’t even) is so goddamn good, just some of the best dom!Jughead out there. Has also written monsterfucker!Betty, which you know I’m a fan of, in once upon a midnight (werewolf-hunter!Betty/werewolf!Jughead with sex pollen where she does not shy away from some wolfy-ness and it is hot af) and has written monsterfucker!Jughead, a rarity but always a delight, with reap what you sow (witch!Jughead/undine!Betty and Betty is so delightfully otherworldly and it is so sexy but also sweet), and there are countless other smut fics, we would be here all day if I went through them all, so you gotta check her out here. One more thing though: she can also write fluff with Lemon Drops and Chocolate Chips, a sweet fic of Betty and Jughead as neighbors that you should definitely check out.

@thatiranianphantom: Funny and thoughtful and talented and has correct opinions on musicals! Writes such good explorations of post-4x17 (and post-4x17 adjacent) scenarios. Like, the we are a masterpiece series is v good and so interesting, and no one else is singing my song is such great angst as a post-4x17 fic and a great use of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend songs. I am forgetting a lot of stuff, I know I am, and I think I might be behind like a fool, so let’s go check out all her stuff together here, yes? Yes. Also? Great for Riverdale speculation, especially about the season 5 musical episode.

@heartunsettledsoul: So talented, queen of canon missing moments, and funny to boot! I love reading her liveblogging of the episodes, and I cannot recommend her stuff enough. Her Forgotten Moments series of canon missing moments is iconic, you must go read all of it, especially there’s witchcraft in your hips, a post-2x13 fic of Betty and Jughead being such teenagers and Jughead being a dweeb about his cheerleader girlfriend and I am not doing it justice but you gotta go read it, man, you gotta. But the series is full of gems from the beginning with Midnight Silence (Betty and Jughead talk post-1x04 about the Grundy debacle and it’s such a delight) and going all the way through to the most recent it might’ve been a nightmare (a 4x12 through 4x16 fic that gives me a wide range of emotions and is fantastic) and your eyes look like coming home (Betty’s diary entries throughout season 1, simply inspired). But she’s also so good at AUs! a dark world aches (for a splash of the sun) is already looking so good as a bughead mystery with some varchie fun on the side, just some quality core four content, and won’t be the same (if you’re not here with me) is a favorite of fake dating, Christmas, and there was only one bed, just the best tropefest. And there are so, so many more, so you must check her out here.

@lovedinapastlife: She writes such a variety of AUs, I am just in awe of them all! The talent, I am amazed. The dark!bughead in The Society is peak dark!bughead with a simply iconic yandere!Betty, and you are seriously missing out if you have not read it yet. Oh, and there’s some more dark!Jughead with a side of dark!Betty in the key to harm(ony) that you must check out because it’s such a great ride and is sexy, what more could you want? Every movie AU she does really takes the source material and makes it her own from works You Drive Me Crazy (but I'm gonna keep on loving you), based on Drive Me Crazy and definitely better than the movie, to the most recent to all the boys (but especially you), based on To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and just so sweet. But also can write otherworldly fics like Heart’s Desire with genie!Betty and The Second Coming with fae!Jughead, as well as regular aus like Detention (Betty and Jughead in detention and it gets a little sexy but also quite cute), and pure porn like Eye of the Beholder (Betty and Jughead as sorcerers who hook up over sorcerer Tinder and it is sexy but also sweet), as well as some of the best ABO in fandom with her A/B/O Mine series (alpha!Jughead/omega!Betty in high school and holy shit is it hot as hell). I am only just skimming the surface here, so definitely go check her out!

@kyloren aka @jughead-jones: Mila is so talented at making gifs, like goddamn, and also so funny, but I bet you didn’t know that she also has written some damn good fic! She hides it, but it is out there and it is very good, my favorite being let me hang my hook on your splendor, a fandom fave of a Scooby-Doo au that is so much more thoughtful and clever with its casting, and also very amusing, you must check out the rest of her stuff here.

@elizabethbettscooper: A delightful person and a delightful writer who is largely retired from the bughead fandom but still such a talent, like seriously. Her Twin Peaks Riverdale AU The Past Dictates the Future is so good, you simply must check it out, like you must. And yours was the first face i saw is such a fun AU of “what if Betty’s crush on Archie was a front for her crush on Jughead”, you must go read it. And holy shit, her i may be bad (but i’m perfectly good at it) series is peak dom!Jughead/sub!Betty taking place when they’re in college and fucking in so many varied ways, like if you are into that, you must go read these fics, you must, you will have a great and sexy, sexy time. And there’s so much more good stuff, you gotta go read it all here.

@bettycreeper: She does so much for the fandom and she makes such gorgeous gifs! Like, the coordination she does on the @bugheadfamily server and @bugheadfanfictionawards and @riverdale-events and probably elsewhere cannot be understated, she is such a valuable presence in the fandom. And have you seen her gifs? Gorgeous quality, just gorgeous, and her movie poster gifs for fics are simply inspired. Also? She’s an amazing beta, just outstanding.

@stillscape: A very thoughtful person and excellent writer who I can’t seem to tag. Dianthus Caryophyllus is still one of my favorite fics in the fandom, a high school bughead fic with some amazing pining from Jughead with an oblivious Betty, I can feel it, it’s so good. And of course there’s Ninia, an amazing take on the soulmates trope, just so good, I cannot do it justice, you must check it out. The for the life of me series is also such a good AU for Betty and Jughead getting together pre-Riverdale at a summer internship, I have such fond memories of it. And la peste (the plague)! So good, I cannot even. We don’t have time for everything, except you should make time and go check all of it out here.

@theheavycrown: God, where would we be without Sarah? She does so much work for the @bugheadfamily and @bugheadfanfictionawards and @riverdale-events and @riverdalecentral and I’m probably forgetting some, tbh. And so sweet and talented! Her gifs are fantastic and so are her fics. Like, Rain Comes Down (Betty and Jughead fucking in the car on the side of the road while cars drive by)? Iconic, some amazing exhibitionism. you had me howling(Betty in heat in the woods and then Jughead finds her and fucking ensues)? Fantastic ABO, so horny, so desperate. Beneath the Silver Moon Rising? Excellent dom!Jughead, excellent sexy times. You must go check out all of her stuff here, you must.

@50shades-of-bughead: Just some of the absolute cutest art that you must check out, especially their series of dark!bughead that is just fantastic.

@thepointoftheneedle: The variety of work here is phenomenal, the talent, I cannot. Took my ridiculous double fake marriage/draft-dodging concept and turned it into an excellent, thoughtful period piece with phenomenal characterization and a great mystery with Never No Locomotive, I cannot recommend it enough. And Ghosts and Clouds and Nameless Things (ghost!Jughead/grieving-dead-Jughead!Betty with a side of mystery) gave me so many emotions, I think I almost cried, and I am not a crier, I assure you. Hey Pixie Dream Girl, I’m Coming for Your Man! (Betty in her bookstore saves Jughead from his date with a Manic Pixie Dream Girl) is so delightfully funny, and Sunflowers (Betty and Jughead share a working space and fall in love) is so goddamn cute. I have actually found myself behind on her work, which is a crime, it all looks so amazing and I know it will be, and you must check all of it out with me here.

@hellodinoflower: Such an amazing presence in the fandom, such a delight, so clever and funny. She ran @bugheaddrabblechallenge this past summer and gave us all so much joy in the process, and, while her fics are deleted now (as is her right), I promise you that they were amazing, you all missed out if you slept on her. She’s such a great follow, you gotta follow her.

@bluevelvetvideo: A delighful soul, great character insight, great writing. Like, her smut is fantastic, have you read Arsenal (a double feature of Betty and Jughead fooling around in public and then having some sexytimes back in private with some quality dom!Jughead, let me tell you, v steamy)? Because you should. Christmas Lights (Jughead ties Betty up with their Christmas lights, it’s fantastically sexy) is a delight, and you can’t blame gravity (for falling in love) is a very fun take on soulmates and soulmarks, and you simply must go read it. She is a master of smut, let me tell you, and you must check out all her stuff here. Also? An excellent beta, 10/10, I’m so lucky to have her.

@a-true-janian-reply: Very funny, has excellent thoughts on Riverdale! Like, truly, every time I see an original text post or a reblog from her, I am PSYCHED because it’s always going to be SO GOOD.

@writeradamanteve: Such great talent across genres, really impressive. Drive (illegal drag racing Betty and college student but former-ish Serpent Jughead, just fantastic) is one of my earliest fandom favorites, I remember excitedly telling my non-fandom friend about it because I thought it was so clever, and we all know how good Daemon Bound is, yes? @iconic-ponytail: Another excellent writer! a revelation in the light of day is SUCH a great slowburn and SUCH a great take on both FBI!Betty and Sheriff!Jughead and the two of them falling in love as adults. Also, the side varchie is fantastic, and the mystery is amazing. I have not yet checked out the nighthawks, but I already know it’s going to be good, I can tell, you can trust this author to be quality, so go check all of her stuff out here.
