Chapter Summary: The new deadline of the Saviors forces you to act, but actions lead to consequences. Time is up but you manage to save your people in the last second - or do you?

BAM! BAM!

The metallic sound echoes through the corridors of the Sanctuary. Negan leans against the wall next to the door of the cell, lowering Lucille again. "Rise and shine, Dwighty-boy."

Muffled shuffling can be heard from the other side of the door. And after a moment, Negan leans his bat against the wall to open up the cell. A smile spreads over his face at the sight of Dwight's sorry state, crouched into a corner, avoiding the sudden light in his eyes. His face and arms are still covered in black and blue colors, which faded only slowly over the course of the last few days.

"Have you missed your own four walls, are they still as comfortable as you remember?" Negan asks with sarcasm coloring his words.

Dwight doesn't speak, nor does he look up at his boss. His eyes are fixed to the ground.

“Brought you breakfast,” Negan says, carelessly throwing the dogbowl in his hand next to Dwight. Having nothing to eat, but dog food once a day is enough to break anyone. If Dwight wasn't as useful as a Savior as he was, he wouldn't even have gotten that.

“Do you even know what day today is? Bet it’s not so easy to keep track of the time in the cozy pitch black corner of yours.” Dwight only shakes his head slightly. “Today's pickup day for Alexandria.”

Even after a long moment, there is still no vocal response from Dwight. Negan narrows his eyes at him, starting to get irritated. "You know, I thought about hanging you on the fence, but as of right now I can't afford losing more people. Not at the moment anyways.” Dwight is still not looking at him and it’s starting to really piss him off. “So I came up with another solution.”

This makes Dwight finally look up at him.

After a long moment of silence, Negan eventually asks "Who are you?"

"I'm Negan,” Dwight answers in a hoarse whisper, lowering his eyes again.

Not quite satisfied yet, Negan keeps pushing. "Do I kill people who don't deserve killing?"

Dwights eyes suddenly shoot up, "They deserve it."

Negan frowns at the other man, "Who? "

Dwight looks away again, taking a deep breath, "Rick's-” He stops himself at once, afraid of saying too much.

“What, his friends?” Negan looks at Dwight expectedly. “When you did, what you did, who where you hoping to fuck over, Dwighty?” Negan asks, already damn well knowing the answer. “Sure wasn’t Rick, you two have nothing to do with each other as far as I can tell. Maybe their fat lady? She’s without a doubt damaging their stock, not to mention quite the burden on the scavengers. Or maybe Daryl? God knows you hate his guts for some reason.”

Negan crouches down, coming to an almost eye level with Dwight. “No,” he whispers, his face as stern as can be. “It’s the daughter, right? Their scout.”

Dwight’s eyes meet Negan's for a split second, before moving to the ground again. Yeah, just like he thought. Negan narrows his eyes at the other man.

“You’ve fucked up a lot of times already, D.” He states. “First you stole meds from me, then you slithered through the gate with Sherry ‘n Tina. Got my hot ass hell soon to be fiance killed during your escape and what happened then, Dwighty?”

Dwight’s eyes dart up to meet Negans again, but he stays silent.

“You spent a few weeks in here and got your shit together.” Negan says. “You worked your ass off and impressed the shit out of me. So much so, that I offered you a position as one of my lieutenants, privileges and all!”

Dwight flinches at the rising volume of Negan's voice. The boss glowers at him. “No matter if Alexandria found enough damn cans or not, either way, all privileges will be revoked. We two start all the way back on square one again.”

Negan rises back to his full height again, his eyes not leaving Dwights. “When we come back and Alexandria’s actually managed to find that many goddamn cans, you’ll be back on the lower levels with the workers, busting your ass for points.”

“And if they didn’t?” Dwight asks in a small voice.

"If they didn’t and I have to kill someone in Alexandria today, thanks to your little vendetta, there is still the other side of your face that hasn't melted off yet."

“Fuckfuckfuck!" You curse as you speed through the suburb. Your eyes switch between the road ahead and the watch you’ve glued onto your dashboard. It’s almost eight a.m, meaning the Saviors are either already in Alexandria or about to arrive at any second.

Either way, you have to hurry. Thank God most of the snow already melted, giving you the opportunity to speed even faster back home.

As soon as the Saviors left last week, Rick immediately sent out all teams to loot around the area. Despite your loud protest, you had to stay behind. He didn’t want you in more danger than necessary. You saw him worried before but never like this. If the deadline is not met, someone’s gonna die - you both knew that.

And you stood put, as hard as it was. While the teams were out, you focused on your recovery. With small training sections thrown in between your guard shifts and studies, to regain some of your former strength and stamina back. And luckily you did, this little trip could have ended pretty bad otherwise.

Your muscles are screaming and your lungs are burning. Sitting around in Alexandria for almost two months really took a toll on your body. Your injuries might have healed but you're still not as fit as you hoped to be. Still, the little training you had came in handy. You had to run quite a long distance, carry several bags around and kill so many walkers, you’ve lost count over them.

You rub your eyes triedly with your bloody hand, before leaning your head on it. It's been a long night. All three teams were out to find cans for the Saviors but until last night only B came back and they had not enough. Daryl was adamant to keep you in Alexandria when you packed up your Mini, said ten cans have to be enough but you know it won't. After you two butted your heads for a while, he finally let you go. Of course he wanted to come with you but you shut that down immediately. He was injured and tried his best to play it down, but you knew he was putting on an act.

Also, you are faster on your own and right now, time is quite the issue here.

Honestly, you don’t think Negan would kill you. He told you that much already. But the others? Olivia? No, he will most likely kill her if they don’t have enough cans waiting for them at the pantry today.

Subconsciously you bite on your nail and cringe immediately at the taste of blood. You quickly take a look at yourself in the rearview mirror. Dried blood covers almost every spot of your skin and clothes. Of course not your blood, knowing you had only a few hours left to meet Negan's deadline, you raced towards Baltimore.

Despite knowing how dangerous the place is, you decided to walk among and raid an old apartment complex. A reckless decision, sure, but the filled up trunk of your car proves you right. Annoyed, you pick a piece of weathered skin out of your hair before looking back onto the street.

Finally the all familiar walls of Alexandria come into view. You can feel the tension in your shoulder slowly ease at the more than welcomed sight. Finally back home. You lean back in your seat more comfortably, watching the walls getting taller and taller the closer you get.

But something seems off. Suddenly you sit straight up again. Why is the gate open? Your heart rate shoots up. “Shit, what the hell?” Once you finally reach the gate, you slow down to an almost stop. No one is guarding the gate or patrolling on the wall, not a single person in sight anywhere.

But you do recognize two of the trucks parking on the street. “Shit, fuck!” The Saviors are already here. They must be at the pantry. You slam your foot onto the gas pedal, maneuvering your way through the trucks.

The streets are all empty and fear settles in your chest. Where is everyone?!

You drive further into the town. When you are almost at the pantry, you finally see your people. The Saviors gathered everyone around the pantry, guns aiming at them. Fuck, that’s going to be an execution.

Some Saviors turn towards the sound of your car as you come closer. You quickly cut the engine and jump out. With your fingers under your tongue you let out a loud whistle, gaining everyone's attention.

It’s deafeningly quiet all of the sudden. The Saviors turn towards you. Shaking from adrenaline and fear, you yell, “Your shit’s in the car!”

You’re about to move around the car, when you hear guns getting readied behind you. You carefully turn your head to see several Saviors aiming at you behind your back. Slowly you raise your hands as your eyes search the people for your family. Daryl is standing in front of Carl but your father is nowhere to be seen.

Negan emerges out of the crowd and when his eyes land on you, he stops in his tacks. His eyebrows raise as he takes in your appearance. Suddenly his whole demeanor changes and your fight and flight instinct kicks in. He looks pissed.

You try to calm your rapid breathing but then he reaches out his hand behind him. Simon appears swiftly, handing his boss the infamous bat. Daryl dashes forward but a few of Negan's men turn their guns on him, making him stop. You ever so slightly shake your head no at Daryl, pleading him without words to stay down.

Your eyes switch back to Negan, who makes his way to you.Your heart is about to jump out of your chest. Pissed? No, he is absolutely seething. While biting your tongue anxiously, you force yourself to hold his gaze.

When he reaches you, he narrows his eyes at you. While pointing at Lucille he almost hisses, “We three are gonna have a little chat.” Your eyes quickly jump to your brother and Daryl. Carl is pulling on Daryl's arm, desperately trying to get him to stay.

Negan turns around towards Simon and the others. “Anybody moves, anybody dares to speak, give the sidewalk a fresh coat of paint.” He turns around again to face you. “Move.” He snarls, as he harshly pushes you forward.

Still biting your tongue, you let him guide you towards the infirmary. What the fuck’s his plan, you wonder. If he wants to kill you, why not in front of everybody to prove a point? Is he even going to kill you? Your mind is spinning like crazy, you don’t know what to think anymore.

When you reach the infirmary, you open up the door and scurry inside. Negan is right behind you, slamming the door shut. You jump at the loud noise and your shoulders remain tense, when Negan rounds you. He stops at your desk, his eyes glowering at you.

Unnerved by the whole situation, you try to speak up, “Negan, I-”

“Are you fucking kidding me?” he interrupts you immediately in a very harsh tone.

Stunned by his question, you just look at him. “Wh- what?”

“You’ve moved out eventhough I fucking ordered you to stay the fuck down for the time being.” You just keep staring at him, adrenaline racing through your veins. “Not only did you disregard my direct orders, you even have the fucking nerve to leave with nothing but a goddamn kitchen knife for a weapon?”

You look down at the knife holstered on your belt. There was not much time to think, when you moved out, you just hastily grabbed it, when you made your way to your car. With a frown on your face you look back up at Negan again. “And what exactly did you expect me to do?”

His eyes narrow at you, but before he can keep yelling at you, you continue. “Two of my teams are still God knows where and the third came back injured. I was forced to move out to meet your deadline and-”

“I gave you one order.” Negan all but hisses, leaning on your desk with both of his arms. “One very simple order.”

Anger’s slowly taking over, pushing your fear back to the far corner of your mind again. He isn’t even listening. “You wanted sixteen cans, we only had ten. There was no other option-”

“You are not the only fucking person in this community!”

“But the only one who’s capable of what I just did.” You defend yourself, your voice threatening to rise. “I found ten more cans in the span of only six hours, together with other kinds of food and even some alcohol. You’re more than welcome to even keep the rest.”

BAM!

You flinch involuntarily when Lucille smacks down at your desk. Negan snarls at you, “Who the hell do you think you’re talking to?” He pushes himself from the desk. “Did you forget who I am?”

After a deep breath, you try to calmly explain, “No, Negan. I did not. That’s why I went despite your orders, because I was the only one available who’s capable enough to move through the dead and gather supplies.”

“Do you want to die?” Negan asks. “ ‘Cause walking through the dead with nothing but a damn kitchen knife sounds like a death wish to me.”

“So what, Negan?” You throw your hands up in the air in frustration. “I could have died but I didn’t and even if I did, then there would be one less mouth to feed. Something I can imagine would play right into your hands.”

“You dying won’t benefit me in any way.” Negan rounds your desk, slowly coming closer to you, “But on the other hand,” he trails off, coming to stand right in front of you. “Maybe I should reduce the numbers of ‘the people’ as you like to call them. Maybe then you’ll stay in line for once.”

“Oh, fuck you, Negan.” The words spill from your lips before you can stop them.

Negan raises his eyebrows at you. With another step he is right in your personal space. He glares down at you. “Wanna say that again?”

You crane your neck to glare right back at him and with venom in your words you tell him, “Fuck. You.”

Very fast the tension is becoming unbearable. Neither of you are moving, nor breathing. Just staring at each other, waiting for the other one to make a move.

Suddenly Negan is all over you and you all over him. Your lips collide in a heated and passionate kiss. He circles his arms around you, caging you against his chest, while you knott your fist into his jacket, pulling him impossible close.

His tongue forces itself past your lips and fire spreads through your veins, setting your whole body ablaze. You moan into his mouth, too overwhelmed by the pounding of your heart and sparks igniting in your abdomen. His salt and pepper beard brushes harshly against your skin, sending pleasant electric shivers down your spine. Your tongues work against each other so perfectly, your brain starts to fog.

His hands wander over your body, from your back to your hips and to your ass. Suddenly they move to your thighs and he picks you up. While not breaking the kiss for only a second, you automatically sling your legs around his hips, letting him carry you. He quickly moves to sit you down on the tabletop, already tearing at your sweatpants.

Her desk better be fucking sturdy.

thinking abt yakuza 8.... under a 'keep reading' bc i rambled again

i mentioned this before but i'm actually glad they brought kiryu back for y8 now. as much as i liked y6 it had. a lot of problems n i know ppl who understandably didn't enjoy the main story of 6 at all. watch GC Vazquez's y6 vid to get what i mean if u don't know (edit from the future: now that tehsnakerer's vid is out i recommend his more but you can watch both if you want)

(i thought i said this here before but i guess not? maybe i only said it on priv-) i think what little i've seen of y8 so far feels "kinder"? more "sincere"? as a send off than 6 despite the cancer thing ykwim. idk if that makes sense when i don't fully know the plot yet. basically it's better bc ichiban is there or something i can't explain it properly rn it has good vibes ok !!

i hope kiryu has a good time n it looks like he will bc ichiban got him finally singing judgement (his canon favorite song!!) again

but then y8 absolutely has to be THE send off for kiryu right...? like he can Not keep showing up in the main story after this there's no way. that makes me so scared that we're gonna see him actually die especially with the cancer reveal. surely they wouldn't... surely...... i don't want them to do another fake-out but idk if i can handle kiryu dying for real... :(

i'm also hoping for a better conclusion with haruka, since there's that whole plot of kiryu's cover being blown so she'd definitely notice n want to talk to him right (unless she can't bc he's in a whole different country but he's gotta at least mention her in depth)

also-also i saw some random person on twitter complain abt y8 'undoing' y3 n saying that they were done w the series. i have no idea what they were talking abt. did i miss something major in a trailer??? (admittedly i'm trying to avoid watching all of them bc i wanna be as blind as i can be). well either way more ichiban for me, retcons won't stop me this series is already full of them

sorry i didn’t meant to imply that bbc was a healthier working environment earlier on, more so that they tried to project this image and so fans were under the assumption the girls were well treated (or if not well treated, at least not subject to the abuse they were) and that it has only been in more recent years (although to be honest i don’t know what im considering recent in this case, late 2020/early 2021? but i may be remember completely wrong) when the girls started opening up more about their experiences. i do really appreciate the examples you gave regarding the girls themselves sharing how much freer they feel at ctd, and i personally trust ctd more than modhaus any day.

No no no its okay no need to apologise haha I was wondering if that was what you meant anyway. I answer asks for both you the asker and my followers anyway so I want to cover all bases.

You're right that up until about 2020, international fans didn't really think twice about BBC mistreating them, which I think was an interesting side effect of their stan loona meme virality - and at the time not a lot of content that foreign fans could easily engage with so a lot slid under the radar. Hyeju mentioned the story about being forced to lose 6kg in a week first in 2019 on a FOTM episode, as well as crying in bed because of starving herself, but fans... didn't really seem to pick up on it at the time. I think it was honestly after I first answered the ask where I collated the jaden jeong imgur folder that people frequently refer back to now, and when the girls started speaking out more, when momentum began picking up. (I don't wanna sound like I'm taking credit here, I think we should all be grateful to team subbits who translate so much content that brought the mistreatment to our attention). As well as dieting, another instance that I think is forgotten about is the maknae line car crash in 2018 where the girls were forced to perform and do fansigns the day after, and a fansign account a week later suggested that the girls were, or at least Hyeju was, actually still injured/emotionally distressed from the crash - I think there's many orbits who don't even know they ever had a car crash. Hanbits have a habit of talking about mistreatment either on privs (which obviously wuebits would never see) or directly via emails to the company because they think negative press is embarrassing/shameful to the girls and don't want the girls' career to be associated with negativity so never made incidents like those a big thing - but I remember so many hanbit tweets complaining at the time - but back then the divide between wuebits and hanbits was even bigger, maybe because of the Choerry boycott misunderstanding, so again, it never made it to international side.

I forgot about this earlier, but not only do CTD not control what the girls eat, but the staff actively remind Yeojin to eat, as well as Vivi cooking for her, since its something she struggles with. I think that represent what kind of company they are really well.

I know this is probably a small thing to be really up in arms about because it is just basic human respect. but I do deeply admire that Austin used the correct pronouns for Ezra Miller, with all the social media buzz around them and controversies I've seen a lot of people adamant on purposefully miss gendering them. (Not that I didn't expect Austin to be less than chivalrous, I just liked that he did that you know it shows how considerate he is. I hope that made a little sense).

i more or less just said exactly this on my priv twitter (didn't main it bc i didnt want it leaving the bubble and getting me yapped at all 'the bar for men is so low'). 1000% agree with you. it's a small thing and like you realistically i never expected austin would do anything different. but it matters in the bigger picture of things and brought a smile to my face. (the interview we're talking about)

This was getting a little ridiculous.

It felt like every single time you turned around, you were greeted with a quick peck--on the lips, on the cheek, anywhere and everywhere had probably been kissed within the first few hours--from your doting boyfriend. You’d turn to say something, to get his attention because you saw something cute while scrolling social media, and he’d already be leaning into press a quick kiss to your face while no one else was paying attention. The few times someone did was met with a groan and whoever it was walking away, saying they’d try to talk to Mashiho again when you weren’t around because he was going to be like this all day until your birthday was over.

And if it wasn’t actual kisses, he was slipping the chocolate ones into your pocket like the corny bastard he was.

While Mashiho had yet to say it, you had an inkling as to why he was doting on you so heavily--aside from it being your birthday. He’d been busy lately, barely getting to see you past the rare video chats since the two of you had conflicting schedules most of the time, between classes and work and trying to have some form of a social life outside of one another. Which had never been a problem for either of you: you loved each other, sure, but you weren’t the only person the other interacted with and you wouldn’t want it to be that way. But it did lead to plenty of nights where you ached to just be held by him for a minute, yearning to hear his cute laugh in person. When you showed up to spend the rest of your evening with him, he practically attached himself to you, lying on the couch with you tucked securely in his arms while he told you about how his day had gone, asking if you wanted to do anything for your birthday aside from just cuddling with him.

You had mentioned offhandedly you’d like to have dinner with him. That had been a few hours ago, and he showed no signs of budging from his spot.

“Are you hungry?” He had asked when you brought the topic back up. When you denied it, he snuggled back into you, “Okay. Just let me hold you a little longer.”

So you were fine with staying like that a little longer. There was a one-off comment about how Junkyu was thought to be the koala of this friend group that earned a laugh from you and a pout from your currently koala-esque boyfriend, who merely hugged you tighter and pressed a kiss against your neck before he spouted something about how at least he has someone to cuddle with.

You looked back at him, already feeling his lips graze your temple. “Mashi?”

“Hm?”

“Can you cook for me?”

For the thousandth time that day, he pressed a kiss against your cheek before unraveling himself from you. “Just because it’s your birthday,” he said as he stood up, even though both of you knew he’d cook for you if you asked and he had the time any day. “Do you want to watch?”

You were sure that it was a ploy to keep you within arm’s reach, but you were happy to come hang out in the kitchen with him. Right as you were about to bring up the subject of groceries, you watched him open up the fridge, already pulling out ingredients to make your favorite dish with a knowing smile.

“You’ve been really affectionate today,” you said offhandedly after he pressed another chocolate kiss into your palm, as a treat with a promise of no more until after the two of you had dinner. “I mean, I love kissing you, but this is a lot.”

He didn’t look up from what he was doing, slicing through ingredients casually. “We don’t get to be together as often as we want,” he had said, eyes downcast and focused on not slipping up with the knife-work, “so I wanted to make up for it while I can.”

“With kisses?”

He gave you one of the cutest smiles, glancing at you for a second before nodding without a word.

“You’re too cute,” you giggled. “You don’t have to ‘make up’ for anything, you know. I know you’re busy. Just seeing your cute face whenever I can makes it all worth it.”

“Even if it’s just a call?”

You nodded, leaning against the counter. “Even just hearing your voice makes me happy.”

The knife clattered against the cutting board for half a second, and when you looked up, Mashiho had closed the distance between the two of you. He kissed you hard, a hand at the back of your head just to serve as gentle guidance--never as a way of trapping you there. Mashiho kissed you like you were a dream he was afraid of waking up from, even in the most passionate moments: chasing the feeling, but not too fast, never too greedy because that was when all the best dreams seemed to slip away. okay. takes a deep breath. i'm no longer having an active meltdown. i may go through and clean up those posts. but here is my official statement; my apologies for the length:

the end of tisbe's and my relationship was a big fucking mess. we both did things that hurt each other very badly. i'm not going to lie and say that i was a perfect angel and faultless victim, because i wasn't. i got angry when i was hurt, i said things i shouldn't have, i should have been more compassionate. i take issue, however, with tisbe wrongfully portraying me as a manipulator and an unsafe person. i am someone who tries very hard to be kind and compassionate to people, and if i make a mistake or hurt someone, i do what i can to correct it and then work to learn from that and repeat it. i have fucked up and i will probably fuck up in the future, but i always have and always will try to be someone who improves the life of others. when tisbe broke up with me, it was after i had apologized for the things i had done and without giving me a chance to try and do better by her, when they bare minimum implied that xe would. i feel the way they seem to have talked about me does disservice to the work i am constantly putting into my own growth and towards doing my best to be good to people.

with regards to the accusation of cyberstalking: that is something that had grounds in reality. i am not proud of this. i had a friend from 8th grade to summer(?) of last year. we were not good to each other and our relationship brought out the worst in each other, and i also poured in a lot of love and effort into us. i made a twitter account with a pretend identity a bit before the final end of our friendship to eventual reveal like a teehee! it was me :)! thing, because that's the sort of (somewhat insane) thing she and i would do--that was our normal. after things ended, i used it for a while to check up on her. a bitter part of me enjoyed seeing her be lonely and upset that she had lost the friend who would have done anything for her. i had also wanted to (in the sort of want where you won't take action on it) to follow her priv with it to see what she was saying about it all. i did not do this. a month and a half or so ago, i had a late night thinking-things-through, and things finally clicked into place about my relationship with her. the way i was with her was the last vestiges of a person i haven't been in years, and i would not make the same choices now that i did then. here are the posts i made about it all: (one) (two) (three). tw in the first and second post for sui ment, and in the second for csa, cocsa, and ed ments.

i do not fault tisbe for still being upset about this and not knowing about the things i have processed there, as i have kept xem blocked since i made this account and i assume that they would not have seen the posts. that is, however, a part of why i wish people would get both sides before making a final decision, as that was a complicated and nuanced situation (even this is just the sparknotes). i have myself been a victim of cyberstalking, and it isn't something i treat lightly, including the fact that i was a perpetrator of it in the past, and i take full responsibility for my history with that. i hope that my talking about this provides some assurance that i would absolutely not do it again.

i have tried, and will continue to try, to speak about tisbe's and my breakup as honestly and kindly as possible. i haven't wanted to (and still don't) say anything that could turn people against them, and i have never wanted to drag our shared friends into something that could and should have been kept private. i think the ultimatum is something that was unfair to the people who care about us both. i am still trying to figure out how i feel about that in connection with also understanding that a person can have boundaries about what circles they are in. above all, i wish that he would take responsibility for the fact that sea didn't handle things well either--with me, with my fiance, and others. and i hope that she finds peace, and that they can grow in the future.

should anyone wish to share this post or the posts linked within it with tisbe, you have my go-ahead. i wish that that was not the singular option i had at this time for a channel of communication, but it would be nice in the future to at least have the sort of conversation that would lead to closure for us both.

Warning post for @/spotlightmeyroplex on tumblr (previously @/sparkxii), aka Haley / Hatch

Content warnings: Racism, misgendering, ableism, and death threats sent to and wishing harm upon minors

TLDR: Haley participated in a discussion about racefaking when he is white, and then, when a black person was made uncomfortable by it, she made the black person out to be the aggressor and played victim while misgendering the black person in the process. He has allegedly sent death threats to those as young as 14, openly wished harm upon the children that she harassed, and used an ableist term to describe a DID system that he didn’t like. After being called out for all of this, she left Twitter and became more active here to run away from all of this. He also caused a non-white person to be harassed for months because she (a white person) accused him of racism, because Haley assumed that their non-white original characters were 1) all aliens 2) all evil; an incredibly racist assumption.

(If reblogging this, keep in mind that Haley uses he/she pronouns. I will not tolerate misgendering on my post. I do not condone harassment or death threats, either.)

Haley is a tumblr user who moved here from Twitter due to being called out for her actions. In this post, I will detail what it is he is trying to hide and run away from. A lot of this information will be taken from Marnie (@/wnderhoy on Twitter), who created the original post on her behavior.

Haley, during her Twitter days, had a main account and a private account that he let mutuals follow. On her private, she made a post about how he was uncomfortable with a black person who called him out on her inserting herself into a discussion about racefaking when he is white. She then proceeded to make this post on her private account, advising that people not follow the black person in question.

(Transcript: “This user makes me uncomfortable I wish so many of my friends weren’t mutuals w him I know it’s selfish but this is embarrassing 😭” “This was the one who told someone to call me out btw. Don’t put faer on my tee el” “Not to be eye for an eye petty but love told everyone I was racist and I sent death threats to kids. If you wanna be around him idgaf just don’t be around faer while around me”)

The black person in question never told anyone to call him out, and only told someone about faer personal experience with Haley, and an anonymous source alleging that she sent death threats to a 14-year-old. Fae didn’t even allege that Haley was antiblack, but Haley, as a white person, used her platform to make the people following him think that the black person was a bad person for being uncomfortable with the fact that he involves himself in a discussion that she had no place in. Haley never even recognized that he was wrong.

Proof of him saying that Haley isn’t antiblack:

You may have noticed that I changed the pronouns used for the transcript, and that is because Haley misgendered the person, as well, in his eagerness to paint the black person as the bad guy. The person’s pronouns were in his bio.

After all of this came to light, Haley resorted to self-victimization:

(Transcript: “This is making me sick. Someone leaked my priv and now I look like some huge evil.” “I think I just need to leave the website in general. This is unhealthy for me.”)

The creator of the original post also got this DM:

(Transcript: “Hi, I’d like to remain anonymous but when I first met Haley he was in the middle of the drama with that Link account. I can’t provide screenshots but he admitted at the time for telling the account owner to die as well as other people that shipped Link and Zelda. He is aware but changed the narrative. Just figured you should know if that is brought up.” “I cleaned up my main account and most of the older tweets are gone and sadly that was caught in them.”)

While in drama with another user (@/GRIMSLEYSEX_), who is a DID system, Haley stated that it had ‘multiple personalities’ (an outdated and ableist way to refer to someone with DID), and stated that she wanted to see xem in pain multiple times throughout, even stating that he enjoyed seeing it in pain. He even called the user a masochist, which is a sexual term, while the user was a child. She participated in harassment of the user in question. While what the user was accused of doing was abhorrent, that is no excuse for ableism, sexualizing a child and saying that you liked seeing a child in pain.

Unfortunately, much of the proof of these wrongdoings has been lost after Haley deleted lots of posts, deactivated her Twitter account and moved to tumblr to escape his past, which he did after being called out. This may or may not have been on purpose. However, if you do things such as search up ‘sparkxiiii Nox’ (‘Nox’ being the name that the user that Haley harassed and wished harm upon), you will see people participating in a discussion about the user who deleted all of her Tweets, with the person with deleted Tweets being the one accusing Nox of being awful, which is, at least, evidence of Haley’s hatred for it and his participation in the drama.

(Transcription: “Nop, I have asked from the very start. And if the victims don’t owe me anything then the thread stays. As long as I get evidence of the behavior that Nox is horrible. Otherwise. Saying you have evidence and not show me just shows you have none at all.”)

Here’s that TLDR again: Haley participated in a discussion about racefaking when he is white, and then, when a black person was made uncomfortable by it, she made the black person out to be the aggressor and played victim while misgendering the black person in the process. I do not condone harassment, death threats or wishing harm upon Haley (let’s not stoop to his level), but I do condone reblogging this post and warning others of her past actions as to make sure that he will not be successful in running away from them.

Edit #1: I have gotten permission to add a testimony from another user about Haley’s racism.

“I'm mixed almost equally German and Native American, and I'm writing a book involving the experiences of characters from mixed families/of different cultures interacting. Sparkxii took a joke I made (pointing out that people with blue eyes are a statistical minority, which is... Scientifically true and was ironic to the conversation) completely out of context and began calling me racist and accused me of romanticizing Naziism.

Sparkxii then combed through my blog, saw that I have non-white characters in my books, and... Accused me of being racist for the fact that they existed, because, according to them, someone would ONLY write a book with poc in it because they wanted to make poc the "bad guys". Their logic and tantrum revolved around their assumption that everyone thinks poc are evil.

Sparkxii assumed that I made the "humanoid aliens" (they aren't aliens, they're all humans) ALL POC and that the "aliens" were ALL EVIL and trying to ravage the human race which MUST BE ALL WHITE....... Yeah. Basically he proved how profoundly racist he was by seeing a bunch of non-white book characters and immediately reading them as evil aliens.”

He further elaborated in DMs that “there was a solid several months after it happened where I couldn't log into Tumblr because there were just THAT many messages telling me to kill myself or calling me a Nazi/kkk member.. Which is, above all else, incredibly ironic for a blonde/blue eyed person to accuse a mixed person of.”

Edit #2: As-of March 6th, sparkxii was suspended by tumblr staff (likely for her continuous suicide baiting). As-of March 15th, Haley is back on tumblr under @/spotlightmetroplex.

i'm not gonna claim here i'm a daniel fan, but i do think mclaren are fucked up. but then again, i would still think mclaren are fucked up even if they didn't do anything. the good thing about silly seasons is that there is hope until literally the 2023 season starts, so keep your heads high!

we have a few takes coming straight from the past:

on the cevert take, i have no clue. the sport evolved pretty quickly between the 70s and 80s and i genuinely can't tell who would or wouldn't have won a title. on senna's win however, i can def say that this was a hate crime (french on brazilian violence on the behalf of balestre)

we also have some newbies who are going through a tough time in the fandom:

i think we have a big issue in the fandom that we have either people who are ancient and are overprotective of the sport because the changes that liberty media have brought are majorly against the flow of the sport, or people who are super new and that don't understand that f1 is a cumulative sport, that is, the more you know about it, the more you understand not only the technical aspect but literally how the sport works. it's not quite like football which i find much more friendly in terms of picking up whenever you like a team and then slowly get used to the history. i'm not a hater of newcomers because we need them to keep the sport running and unfortunately i'd like to keep watching formula 1 until my hair is grey and i have dementia, but i'm not gonna lie and say i don't resent the small portion of new fans who just splurt opinions without having the necessary knowledge to see things beyond black and white. it's not that understanding certain things makes it less fucked up, but it actually helps to bring some perspective that can even make you more or less mad and give more support to your train of thought. that being said, i can TOTALLY tell when a fan is purposefully ignorant or just a newbie who is just learning about things, so i don't think you should be afraid of interacting with people around here because they are mostly levelheaded and they can actually help you out with explaining the lore of f1 (obligatory hyperfixation corner on my pinned post plug). don't be scared, just throw yourself out there! if you're not interested on knowing everything about everyone, i'd just tell you to learn a bit about the history of teams, like why is ferrari the way they are? what led mercedes to their domination? how did sebastian vettel create red bull? why must williams be stopped? etc. i think that by tracing a single "recent" timeline (you don't need to go aaaaall the way back to fangio, unless you're interested about the technological and safety advancements from the start of f1 to now) you can grasp a bit better some of the grid dynamics. and on the topic of f1, a chilling revelation:

i legit can't say anything without saying who the driver is so i won't. but damn lol!!!! well, you're entitled to your own opinions and i think that from what you said, it's like, a normal rivalry that the sport ended up creating and even though it's in the past some ppl still carry it with them. i hate timo glock no matter how much ppl defend him to me. most important is just to chill and avoid tagging your opinions so you don't poke the fans!

another f1 related confession, but a simpler one:

i'm not sure if chickpeas are super common around the globe, so i think it's fair? unfortunately in brazil they're super common though. i HATE them i wish charles had never picked it up.

we have one on DTS laid ease:

fair enough because current DTS is literally teams' PR hour. what was pretty charming about the first two seasons was how unscripted it felt - even though a lot of it was different from reality, unlike now that's basically only the teams and drivers that are willing to speak and it's obvious they want to look good or at least have control of the narrative that's fabricated. i know it's not all perfect but gosh, it fell off.

still on f1, we have a possible sighting:

trust your instincts, what do they say? i am of the opinion that if it was Lewis, you'd know right away. that man is unmistakable.

and now, a commentary on fanfics:

see i can only read RPF if i can distinguish well reality from the AU. like, i want the story to be so compelling that it feels like the drivers are just face and personality claims but they stand as characters, not as the real deal. if you changed their names, it would work equally fine as a book (although i love when there are easter eggs and whatever). i think that if you have the maturity to understand that these aren't the drivers from the moment they're written and that they have real lives and real partners, you can still have fun! the fandom is filled with talented writers who i legit think could make it a job. i'm going to recommend to you "without a hitch" aka @mickstart's bakery AU (you'll need an AO3 account as it's private) because i feel it illustrates well what i just said and laura really made a point of creating a whole universe. we saw it grow from a few fun discussions at a discord server to a few more serious discussions we had on priv and repeated demands i made for her to write it and they fucking did it brilliantly. so very proud, new chapter saturday etc. from the other users i remember write is of course my beloved maisie @jedivszombie and the amazing anna @gp2engine. can't go wrong!

but it's not all f1. there is some f2 too!

and i would love if both of you guys could get into contact with me first bc i'm an enthusiast of gossip and second bc i legit would like to know what is necessary to get a formula job!!!!

and at last a very sobering yet necessary take on the state of the fandom:

i do like tumblr for not being very male dominated although twitter has a nice blend of reddit dudebros and tumblrinas. however, we def need more women to reach f1 because my bi ass needs more material besides old school girls and susie (besides w series).

MF Doom fucks and i cant believe it's two years already that he left us!!! i love the feeling of learning a new instrument, i remember my hands ached and i'd get short of breath when i was learning the flute but it was so worth it! keep working at it!!!

i def need to try popcorn w chopsticks bc i always waste so much popcorn eating it in handfuls like an idiot. sushi IS my favourite food, next time you eat it lmk so we can eat some together! and while i'm not sure yet pasta is the supreme food, i def want to try some great pasta when i'm at milan next month! oh and every single alcoholic beverage sucks absolute balls.

some of you are suffering over a subject very close to my heart: sleeping

i know probably it's not That Serious to you guys, but i have been recovering from long term use of zolpidem (ambien) for the past 4 months or so now? i don't remember really. i just decided to stop taking it bc it's such a hassle to get it here in france, i have to go to a psychiatrist that barely looks me in my face and charges me 100 euros per month and i ended up running out of prescription. when i called him to schedule an appointment, he said he was on vacation for the next 15 days, and since he was the first out of 3 that i went that prescribed me some (i already did a treatment in brazil but here is much worse and someone prescribed to me an antipsychotic that left me completely zonked out) i just said fuck it, i'll wing it. i had the worse insomnia for the first week but at some point my sleeping schedule started to go back to normal, it's still a challenge but at least i can mostly sleep 7 hours instead of 3. what i find helped me was melatonin, of course because there is no way someone who was on 10mg zolpidem could just fall asleep straight away - i take between 2 and 3 mg an hour before i go to sleep and then i try not to mess w my phone a lot. if i'm not sleeping, i'll grab the phone to watch smth on youtube or netflix, but i won't do social media. i have a bag of lavender grains on my pillow and i also put essential oils on my diffuser (lavender + sweet orange) bc aromatherapy fucks. i shut every single light entrance in the house (v important during summer) AND have a face mask. i legit do SO MUCH SHIT to sleep is crazy. go to sleep well so you don't end up like me. and tbh if you suffer from severe insomnia like i do, i still think you can consider zolpidem as a path if you have the support of a doctor. for a good period, it was the only way i could manage to sleep when nothing else i had tried worked and it legit saved my life, i swear. i just couldn't live properly from the headaches and other side effects of lack of sleep. from there on you can wean it out properly instead of going cold turkey. good luck!

i undestand you totally, it seems like you went through the sort of situation that really bursts the bubble and if you really trusted them and rated them before, it shatters in instants and then it's like "what the fuck are we even doing here?". i have been going through the same here w my uni collegues (i can't even call them friends as much atm) bc they were so selfish in a given moment i was like "never again". it's been nearly a month and i still don't want to look at them in their faces and have been avoiding them, but it's like. you have to accept your feelings were hurt and give yourself time to heal but also since you're still working with them you have to at least publicly move on. my mom says to keep acting nice and even playful but that it's also a lesson not to trust people again after they haven't been reliable. since your case is work related, even better bc it's not like you Need to be friends with them. if it's been like 3 months and you think it's still unsustainable, then i'd consider changing jobs tbh.

omg poor thing lmao!!!! honestly you sound like a trooper anyway because it's a bunch of kids crying, i think that would reduce anyone to tears but you still made it! i hope your manager was capable of supporting you but the image you created is lowkey hilarious... the wiiiings. i hope that up to that moment you enjoyed your tinkerbell fantasy and that you get to keep the costume.

i sympathise a lot with the concern about your parents because i'm from a latino country, but i see my friends who eventually overcame their fears and changed their majors instead of sticking to the ones their parents liked and they are genuinely thriving. there is one in particular that just blossomed in life and is much more confident and happy. of course i don't know your particular situation with your parents so i can't say that they will or not respond in a certain way, but the fact is that they're not gonna be here forever anyway, and when they're gone you might have to face if you're the person you want to be or the person they were projecting you to be and it might sting. if your mental health requires you to change areas, do it. it will be rough, but you can make it!

see? and there is nothing wrong with that, good luck in your studies! i myself am probably gonna graduate in my studies since i'm here in france for the double degree than immediately go back to study mechanical engineering bc i like chemistry but it's useless lmao. if i could turn back time!!!!

awww i hope you manage to stay there as well!! how are the possibilities lining up right now, do you think you could find a job in your area or keep working at academical research or something? a lot of the foreign students at my school manage to stay here after they graduate but i don't know how things work in the country you're at the moment. would you be willing to move somewhere else as well?

i'm terribly sorry to hear that, school can be so overwhelming sometimes and not having the support of your parents in that aspect def hinders the situation. ideally you'd be able to seek a therapist on the low, for instance if your school have a counsellor they might be able to help you find a solution. because of the pandemic there have been many therapists who decided to go at least part time online, which can be cheaper depending on your location (in case you can somehow afford it or some insurances might cover it). where i'm from a lot of universities offer therapeutic support either for free or for a symbolic fee from their interns or people who just graduated, which also helps (a few of my friends do it this way!). i think from the point you manage to get some therapy advice, they might be able to refer you to a psychiatrist if necessary and orient you on whether or not you need your parents to back your treatment. i know you probably have already tried to seek solutions, so keep me posted on how that's going and i hope you manage to kick start something!

we had a few other people recounting some of their mental heath struggles:

the worst part about therapy it's how trial and error it is until you find The Therapist, but once you do it's so worth it. i had one that ghosted me once and it sucked asdkfhas but i'm currently doing genuinely great with the one i have, so don't give up on therapy just yet! i have also a friend who is dealing with A Very Shitty Breakup (toxic abusive ex) and she has been doing both therapy and meditation, so maybe meditation can help you as well! and i'm not sure if you have psychiatric support as well, but maybe if you do you can get a therapist referral from them! truly think that it takes a village to deal with mental illnesses, therapy, psychiatry and even some holistic approaches sometimes (no cults please) and since you're also saying you are having a bit of a sexuality crisis, therapy could help you figure out what you're going through. again, keep me posted!

would've posted this on my twitter priv but i don't wanna feel stifled by the character limit so here it goes

i am fully aware of the controversy behind some of the amphibia staff being pr0\shitters. however i'm not letting that impact my enjoyment of the show because as an asian-american, the joy of seeing asian representation in a large-scale cartoon far outweighs the discomfort i feel about those who worked on it

that being said, i definitely believe you need to be wary about separating art from artist. but that entails actually thinking critically about which aspects specifically can't be separated, instead of just going "this whole thing is automatically Bad because a Bad person made it." in amphibia's case, it's the fact that so little attention gets called to how marcy and sasha, Literal Actual Children, are holding such high rankings in amphibian society. and ESPECIALLY sasha being employed as a literal child soldier.

to be clear, i do not think it is a bad approach. many children's cartoons have kids in empowered positions, and i think it's interesting how the calamity trio are being seen differently from actual frog children due to being physically bigger than even most adult amphibians. however, combined with the context of some of the staff's views, it makes me raise an eyebrow. amphibia isn't some magical fantasyland where kids can live out their dreams of being a watered-down TV-Y version of a knight or a king. it's a proper country with very fleshed-out worldbuilding, with its own share of heavy societal issues that parallel our world's, and the show is definitely not one to shy away from heavier topics

which is why the implications of 13-year olds being in the military and government almost never being brought up is so surprising to me. sasha didn't HAVE to be written as the co-leader of the toad military. marcy didn't HAVE to be written as the king's advisor.

but here's the thing. a lot of pr0\shitters don't see children's show protagonists as children, but rather people with personalities of vague maturity that can play any role and theoretically anyone can self-insert themselves into. usually with only slightly less maturity than the adults at the least. and in most cases, that's fine—protagonists like that can resonate with a wider audience than just little humans of a similar age. usually them doing adult things is all cool and good, and in the cases where they're doing something a child Really Should Not Be Doing there's commentary on it (ex. animorphs). but when it comes to particularly sensitive topics that regularly get defended by people in power in real life—i.e. age gap relationships and sexual abuse—it's hard to ignore the optics of putting a child character in such a situation, even if they're a collection of lines that acts simultaneously like an adult and a kid. and this is where the trope of putting kids and adults on relatively the same status level starts to break down. sasha being a child soldier just ever so slightly toes the line between "eh it's just a cartoon" and "what the fuck why is no one concerned about this", and that's why i think her being written as such is a direct reflection of Those staff members' attitude towards fiction.

additionally, the general vibe of the show just kinda. feels like a cartoon made by and for weirdo adults who complained that children's cartoons didn't cater to them enough. as much as i enjoy the internet/nerd humor, it's hard for me to not feel cynical about it. or about some of the more risqué jokes/scenes. or about marcy getting impaled in the chest at the end of s2. i'm sure it's just because disney's censorship toned down every other intense scene, while they couldn't with marcy's scene because it was both leaked beforehand and Plot Important, but it feels to me like it was included for pure "oh my god this show is so DARK and ADULT!!!" shock value. i'm glad i don't interact with the fandom because i'm sure if i took a drink for every person using those jokes and scenes to "prove" that the show was "really" made for older folks, i'd die from liver disease

also that one line of sprig saying "i can't believe we tried to kill each other over a piece of fiction!!! :)" in the ship war episode genuinely made me consider dropping the show

BRUH!

and she said HE told her? now, i dont entirely believe that, it could be true, especially if she brought up the convo (i think he told a few of his friends, but not in a dick-y a way, more like "dude, what do you think of this? do you think she likes me?" and they deffo asked who it was. because, well. and also im not exactly the person youd automatically assume would like someone, especially him, so yeah.) i get how it looked, but i hope he realizes it looked the exact same way to me as well 👍

im curious, because i have a very unique name, and its not easily misheard - was she going to tell him she heard i liked him (this is entirely possible, i was not as careful as i should have been, but the three of us are only in one class together; shes not in the other classes i have with him so theres no way she picked up on it by herself. also because in that class i dont look at him, like, ever. its the way that class is.) or ask him if he liked me???

i don’t know i don’t think it’s that weird for him to tell his girlfriend about your convo with him…like in most relationships it might be weirder for him not to tell her? bc in the better/healthier relationships you tell your partner most things

it’s possible that maybe he just thinks you’re attractive? maybe he’s looking at you bc he thinks you’re pretty. teenage boy brains make no sense to me and never will, but you gotta remember that if he wanted to date you, he would probably do something to make it happen. but rn it sounds like, even if he does like looking at you, he still wants to be with his gf….so again. idk like tension/feelies with someone can be FUN but also, maybe find a new crush who is single lol (easier said than done)
