"My answer to what?"

the pearly white haired boy swears he felt his heart leap out his chest as his ruby red eyes widened

"You should also be happy about the fact I spent an hour making these!"

when you handed him the chocolates his perpetual grin only became bigger if that's even possible

Jing Yuan knows you have a soft spot for the kid, it's hard not to, he's very endearing, and knows you'd never do anything to hurt the kid.

Yanqing is very oblivious to his guardian's true nature, he just thinks you're a bit bashful is all about dating the general. The kid adores you and always begs you to come visit, how can you say no to him?

You don't want him to ever be afraid of you, it'd hurt your poor heart too much, so you never lash out when Yanqing is nearby and tolerate Jing Yuan's antics.

Jing Yuan, being the rat bastard he is, would use this to his advantage.

But I also love the idea of Yanqing being a platonic yan for you, always clinging to you when you're walking the streets of Luofu. Keeping tabs on things that you like or people you interact with to keep dear ol dad in the loop, definitely might've eliminated someone who got a little bit too chummy with you or most likely went to Jing Yuan later on and in a few days that person is suddenly convicted of a serious crime.

You three are like a little family to him, poor kid has always wanted a mom and you're perfect! You seem to fawn over him and when does accidentally calls you mom/mama/etc you never correct him, if anything you encourage him to do so since you believe he needs a maternal figure (also to balance out Jing Yuan's influence over the boy)

Yan Yanqing is highly aware that you're weak to his whims, so he's going to take advantage of it. He really is like Jing Yuan in that sense, but his love for you is purely familial.

what would it be like to be miggy's sole friend? (aside from my bbg lyla)

imagine being one of my miguel's only friends in middle school. like he was a bullied kid in middle school (i think he was in middle school in the '92 comics, correct me if i'm wrong) and like, i think our miguel (movie miggy) wouldn't really give a shit if you were his only friend, he just wanted it to be you.

like if you asked him why he didn't try to make other friends if he knew you would be there to defend him if someone tried to mess with him, he'd just shrug and admit that he doesn't really want anyone else. and if you'd follow up that question with another why, he... he wouldn't know himself why. he just feels better and at peace knowing you're all he has to call as his 'friend'.

he wasn't shy nor anti-social either, he did talk to people and make connections, but he never really went to anyone else but you to talk about problems, unburden burdens you both never realized you were carrying, and just... be yourselves around each other.

like miggy has to put up fronts, he always did, he always does. even as an adult, if you chose to stay by his side, you would always see different sides of him, it was never just one or two versions, but a whole spectrum of miggy that you witnessed and grew up with.

HELLO!

I HAVE A THEORY! And this is a theory regarding the newest character of Honkai: Star Rail, the rootin’ tootin’, flamboyant, brash, and trigger happy space cowboy of the Galaxy Rangers—Boothill! This will be posted on both Tumblr and AO3 for those who do not have either or for easier access! By the way, this theory contains mentions of leaks and in-game content, so if you don't want to get any spoilers, I advise not to read this theory at all.

For starters, I will admit that I haven’t played Honkai: Star Rail in a while due to…whatever reason I had, and one of those reasons was because of Twisted Wonderland! I was playing that for a while—still am—I was having a blast insulting Ace and having aneurysms over the students’ antics and methods of breaking people out (I’m lookin’ at you, Rook). It was great! Then, Star Rail showcases two new characters on their Twitter page for their newest planet known as Penacony, one of them being Boothill who a lot of people were upset with due to them wanting the characters, Sam and/or Firefly who unfortunately met her demise in the newest update, and…well, I fell head over heels for him and started saving for him (122 PULLS WITH 20 PITY BABY BUT HE’S MY FIRST FEATURED CHARACTER SO PRAY FOR ME). I kept up with leaks because I could care less about gameplay, stat kit, and character lore leaks since that’s the interesting part and helps me figure out if I want the newest character…like my Al-Haitham theory which did not age well, this theory about Boothill does stem from exhaustion from not sleeping, but I feel like this is a more coherent and sound theory than the last, and I have to say that I have to take this with a grain of salt—and I advise the same for you—because it’s merely a theory. I can be wrong on certain things, but without ado, I’ll start with what really feels like the backbone of this theory, and that is Boothill’s name: Boothill.

The Name

So, just to give a little context, prominently in Asian media—most notably Japanese and Chinese entertainment from what I’ve seen as I played HoYo games and watched a lot of anime—characters tend to have name pun which correspond with their personality, physical design, talents, etc., to give people a little laugh and be like, “Ooooh! I get what they mean!” For example, Zhongli, in HoYoverse’s most popular game, Genshin Impact, written as 钟离 in simplified Chinese, is a pun of his departure—his retirement—as Rex Lapis: 钟 Zhōng being a homophone for the word for “clock” as it’s spelled exactly the same, while 离 Lí is a common word for “leaving” or “away”. Putting it together, it can be taken as “time of departure/leaving” or “off the clock” which foreshadowed Zhongli stepping down as Archon of Liyue.

With that knowledge in mind, I looked at Boothill's name and decided to Google it because I knew it was a pun of some sort! My only thought was that his name could have been a reference to a western (cowboy) film I never heard of which, to me, made sense as Boothill is modeled after stereotypical cowboys, and HoYo loves pop culture references with the Genius Invokation TCG which is a reference to the ever-so-popular card game, Yu-Gi-Oh, and how March 7th and Caelus made a reference to the movie, Fight Club, when the Moles were talking about the first rule of Fight Club…never talk about Fight Club! So, I thought Boothill was a nod to an old movie!

…No! A lot of people have already Googled it, but for those who probably don’t know, Boothill’s name comes from a burial grounds for gunfighters—with headstones engraved with the gunfighter’s name or “unknown” if the identity of the person has not been found—in the Old American West called a Boot Hill, and that name derives from the phrase “those who died with their boots on”, meaning that the gunfighter died rather violently. I did see someone say that the phrase could also mean that they were hanged, and that part is correct as the context of the expression changed in the early 19th century. However, I don’t believe that Boothill was hanged—although it is a possibility that I will keep in mind! Again, I have to take this theory with a grain of salt so I don’t die on that hill again, but seeing Boothill’s situation that he’s metal and wires from the chin down, he most likely died in a very extreme battle in the past since the only thing human about him…is his head!

His body must have been blasted to oblivion to where it was beyond saving, beheading him from the impact of whatever and whoever killed him. Now, some people may think that they probably just beheaded him or he was shot multiple times in the chest: other possibilities I will keep in mind, but that would mean he could have resulted as some kind of Frankenstein instead because if the body was still there, the Interastral Peace Corporation or IPC (the people who rebuilt Boothill) would use that since he has things to salvage like a heart or liver, etc., yet if we look at another Star Rail character named Luka who hails from the Underworld, he is missing an arm which is replaced with a mechanical one. That is because Luka saved a child in a fire involving a monster possibly from the Fragmentum, and his arm was chopped off by the ax the monster wielded, giving him the prosthetic he has today. So, if we compare Luka to Boothill in terms of how bad the conflict in Boothill’s past was, Boothill lost too much of his body from the chin down for the IPC to even save, leaving him with a full body prosthetic.

The Light Cone

Now, the question that we have…why was Boothill killed? Who could’ve had such a grudge against him that they killed him off so violently? Well, that is where his Light Cone description comes in. Let’s focus on the middle of the description where it states:

“Some cruel memories resurfaced as the unforgettable hatred turned into a weak light in the darkness.”

The Light Cone entirely describes when Boothill was regaining consciousness and how he felt while briefly in a limbo before being greeted by a doctor in the IPC. What sticks out are these “cruel memories” and this “unforgettable hatred” that he has which calls back to what happened before he died. I’ll lead into this with another point I have to make this make sense a little bit: Boothill is a bounty hunter. Why do I think this? Well, we get a glimpse of this in-game in the newest update of Star Rail where Black Swan answers the phone to a mysterious Pathstrider of the Hunt who is part of the Galaxy Rangers (a gang who “swore to punish the wretched by any and all means”) who is tracking down Acheron, ready to kill her for reasons unknown as of right now: that was Boothill who has been confirmed to be a Pathstrider of the Hunt along with him being a Galaxy Ranger as he calls Acheron an “imposter” who is also a Galaxy Ranger, most likely hinting that Acheron is going undercover and infiltrating the group. We also know it is him from his line, “My bullets will find you”, since he is a gunslinger with a bullet motif on his hat and actual bullets around his waist and one hanging from his left ear.

Going back to the point I made, he’s obviously smart with pinpointing someone’s location such as Acheron’s and having at least some information on her like her being an Emanator. His Path, the Hunt, is said to “admire determination, ruthlessness, and tenacious behavior”, which fits Boothill’s Light Cone description as well as his possible reason for his alliance with the Galaxy Rangers and why his finger is ready to shoot Black Swan if she was an ally of Acheron stating to “get [her] forehead clean…and wait for [him]”. A bounty hunter would have to be ruthless with their target, showing little to no emotion as they are the person they are after, the person who wronged their client or the bounty hunter themselves, and it is obvious that Boothill is determined to gather any info from Black Swan to continue his hunt with Acheron.

Now, with that in mind…Boothill had to have been a bounty hunter in the past who was wronged as he had “cruel memories” returning to his mind, and he had anger in his heart that was weakening but helped him return to the living world. If I were to guess, he may have had a loved one who died at the hands of someone else and gained the skills to become a bounty hunter in his previous life to hunt that person down because he had “unforgettable hatred”, and that had to be at a level where he couldn’t let go especially if he had “cruel memories”, and those could probably be that he watched that same loved one get brutally tortured and/or murdered in front of him. As to who the loved one of Boothill could have been, it could have been anyone: his father, his mother, a sister, brother, a best friend—Unfortunately, we do not have the information to determine that for sure, but I truly believe that it could be someone he was very close to that was tortured and/or killed for, again, reasons unknown.

The IPC

From what we gathered in the leaks and what HoYo has already established, it was the IPC that brought Boothill back with unknown intentions, but to me for this theory, it’s because of his skills as a bounty hunter since he must have been the best hunter wherever he came from. However, Boothill has a new grudge against the IPC as the his reveal information stated that, “His flamboyant and brash actions were all to draw the attention of the Interastral Peace Corporation — the target of his revenge.” The man is very flamboyant as we can holler back to his Ultimate, his skill…the freaking JoJo poses—

—(somebody in HoYo is a JoJo fan—IT'S BECOME INCREDIBLY CLEAR NOW) so I can see him causing havoc and being flashy to purposely attract their attention so he can properly get his revenge on them due to them making him into a cyborg which he isn’t happy about.

However…if I go back to the Light Cone description…at the very end, it said that Boothill “would no longer live for himself.” Sounds a little strange, doesn’t it? Here he is greeted by the doctor that saved him, and he’s clenching his new iron fists (literally speaking) because he knows what the IPC’s intentions are. If he’s no longer living for himself, that doctor would most likely have a sadistic tone when he welcomed him back because they experimented on him, testing him and his new body and using him for unspeakable things against his will, and why do I believe this?

Think back to Boothill’s gameplay and the leak of his gun’s range. That could be a reason, and a way I can describe it is by using Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. the Winter Soldier, in the MARVEL franchise. In the movie, Captain America: The First Avenger, Bucky was believed to be killed during a fall off a hijacked train in WWII in an attack against HYDRA, a sub-Nazi group led by the Red Skull, Steve becoming devastated by his best friend’s death. However, in Captain America: Civil War, it was revealed that Bucky was actually brainwashed, gaining a prosthetic arm (like Luka), and became a Super Soldier under HYDRA as they experimented to revive Dr. Erskine’s research for the original Super Soldier serum. Plus, HYDRA knew of his friendship with Steven Rogers and that Steve was alive but was going to expose S.H.I.E.L.D. for their lies, making him a threat. So, they trained and used Bucky as their line of defense since he was the only successful experiment that remotely compares to Captain America in strength and combat.

Because of Boothill’s skills in gunslinging, the IPC possibly saw this as an opportunity to have an effective line of defense in case something were to happen in their facility or if there was someone they needed to eliminate; they would have Boothill who had those qualifications to be their guard dog, but hearing how Boothill talks in-game for the first time, you could hear a hint of insanity in him as he keeps insisting that he will kill Acheron and Black Swan with lines such as “My bullets will find you”, “you best find a casket store on Penacony, and ask the owner to reserve a good quality casket for you”, “I’ll leave a round for you, so get that forehead clean and wait for me”, and “Are you askin’ me to write your will?” He wants to kill anybody who hurts him, still having that anger. That must have been how he felt when he was trapped in the IPC facility, going through experiment after experiment that broke him to the point that he couldn’t take it anymore as he is still human; he still has emotions and a mind of his own despite being 90% iron and wires.

Boothill knew, from the sound of that doctor’s tone, that he would be seen as their Super Soldier, a little toy they could dispose of if he was deemed useless; he was nothing but a heartless, soulless object to them which most likely broke him. Boothill has calmed down since his possible escape from an IPC facility and killing people in order to have a successful breakout, but he still has that pain inside his heart because of the possible abuse he faced that he’s trying to protect himself from being betrayed or used again which is why he’s so expressive and flamboyant.

He wants to live for himself and show the IPC just how human he was. However, he’s still showing off how strong he is as a warning to others of what he can do to them if they ever crossed him.

Now, I cannot stress enough that this is just a theory (A GAAAAAME THEORY), and I have to take this with a grain of salt because there is still a lot we don't know about Boothill regarding his past or his relationship with the IPC. Heck, a friend of mine and I believe that Boothill may not actually be his real name, but there's no evidence of his real name to even prove that point. This is all speculation, and what I gathered and thought about using any resources I have at my disposal to produce this, so please—for the love of the QUEEN OF HEARTS HERSELF—do not take this as actual, confirmed, or leaked information on Boothill's backstory since there are many unanswered questions. For now, I'll stick to what I got until Boothill is finally released!

And hopefully not die on that hill like I did with Al-Haitham...

AU+ Pairing = Headcanons: Tony/Bucky and Space Opera AU

Me: I know exactly what a space opera is. Me: *looking it up* Turns out I didn't know what a space opera is.

Anyway I'm still obsessed with feline-alien Tony I guess.

Tony runs away from home and joins the Art Circuit--a special fleet of ships traveling from planet to planet to put on theatrical displays like plays, concerts, and ballets. It's all he's ever wanted to do, and quite frankly, he thinks royalty should be abolished anyway. Still, though, he can't really... do anything on stage. He wants to. More than anything, he wants to be able to sing on stage. He doesn't. He knows he'll be found by the mercenaries looking for him if he does. He aches with the desire to perform, but... it's better this way. He can do the stage stuff. Help with costume changes. Practice lines with the actors. He can be helpful. He can watch others succeed and know he helped them. Still. On opening night, Ms. Carter seems to understand that the show is something that makes him ache deeply. So she allows him to stand at the edge of the curtain, watching from the shadows as the packed audiences ooh and ahh over the actors on stage. Maybe one day, when he's older and doesn't fit any missing posters anymore, he could be out there. But usually it was better not to hope, and so he closed his eyes, and pretended it was him on the stage.

The Barnes family is famous for their work in the Art Circuit. Each ship has at least one of the Barnes family in it--Bucky's parents started in theater, and his sisters had each gone into the symphony, the ballet, and the opera. Bucky hadn't really had their artistic talent. He'd never actually wanted to be on the stage. But, he'd been around them since he was born, so he knows his way around the backstage and tech booths like the back of his hand. It's easy as breathing to slip into that role rather than try his hand at performing himself. He wonders, sometimes, if it was the correct decision. If his family things less of him. Then he remembers the day that Becca had come to him in tears because the stage manager wouldn't listen to her when she said she didn't feel safe in the hoist that would keep her aloft over the audience. How he'd patted her head, told her it would be okay, and then went and told his parents he was about to use the family name very aggressively. And with their blessing, he'd stormed onto the operatic ship and shamed the stage manager into checking every single piece of equipment. Ms. Carter finds out that the rigging was faulty and fires the stage manager on the spot. She makes Bucky the stage manager instead.

Bucky meets Tony on his first day. "He knows everything," Becca had said. "He'll help you." Tony does know everything. He knows who is playing what part, where everything on set should be, how to play the piano while it's being moved around (Bucky is experimenting with the set, and Tony is determined to see to it that the actors don't suffer for it), and when someone needs a break and needs to sit out. Bucky has no idea why Ms. Carter didn't make him stage manager, except that maybe she liked Bucky's willingness to punch someone to get things done, whereas Tony had simply planned on pulling on overnight and fixing everything while the stage manager was gone. He doesn't understand why Tony isn't on stage, either. Bucky's not sure what planet he's from (or even what part of the galaxy, Tony's that tight-lipped), but wherever he's from, he must be the most beautiful person there. He's heard Tony sing sometimes, too, when he thinks he's alone after the rest of the crew has gone back to their quarters to sleep. He's got a voice that could make angels weep. He's a good actor, too, from what Bucky's seen of Tony helping everyone with their lines, and Becca has gushed talked about how nice he is to all the younger actors. Why is Tony backstage, when he should be front and center? "That's Tony's spot," Ms. Carter tells Bucky, firmly but kindly, when he goes to stand in the wings to watch the opening of the show. Bucky doesn't understand much of anything, he thinks, as he steps back and watches Tony as his face fills with longing as he watches the crowd.

Apparently, some of the other ships have bad stage managers, too. Ms. Carter took one (1) year to vacation with her family in a resort planet and some guy named Pierce cut every corner imaginable. Ms. Carter is furious. Tony is mostly glad he's not on her warpath, instead simply taking her assignment to check everything out with a fine-tooth comb. It's good to keep busy. Mostly he just needs to do reports to get new parts. He's pleased, though, because Ms. Carter has said that he's fully approved to do improvements. He tries to keep his improvements moderate. He doesn't want to do anything too expensive. Bucky is helping him, mostly by taking notes. He looks like he understands one out of three words Tony is saying, but also like it doesn't bother him, which is something that Tony isn't really used to. Most other races got prickly with how quickly his kind's minds worked, how fast their reflexes were. Bucky looked like he didn't care at all, which makes Tony eye him skeptically, but Peggy isn't in the habit of hiring idiots. (Most of them had quit en masse after she'd almost murdered Pierce.) Then the catwalk they're on creaks ominously. Tony and Bucky look down at it, stunned, and in that moment, it lurches downward, jerks, and snaps the wires holding it up. Tony grabs Bucky and leaps toward the curtains, claws tearing through the fabric as they plummet to the ground, trajectory only slowing a little. Tony could land on his feet and be fine, he thinks, but not holding Bucky. Bucky is too heavy. His legs would snap. So he wraps both arms around Bucky and turns, taking the full brunt of the fall so hard that his body cracks through the metal paneling under the wood veneer they used on the stage.

Tony survives. His race is hardy, Ms. Carter assures Bucky. She says she once watched Tony's father get wrecked by a shuttle bike and he had nothing but some bruising and road rash. ("His feet left the ground and he whipped around in a circle twice! I suppose that taught him to look both ways before he crossed the thoroughfare though.") Tony will probably be up and about in a week. All Bucky can think about is the way Tony's arms wrapped around him. The way he'd managed to whisper, "I've got you," right before they hit the ground. The way Tony had looked up at him after someone else had helped Bucky up off of him, teeth gritted to bite back a guttural moan of pain, even as his eyes tracked his body to make sure he wasn't injured. The way Tony had smiled when Bucky had helplessly reached out to take his hand. The way he'd squeezed back, so gently, when Bucky knew he could have easily crushed his hand instead. "This has awoken something in me," Bucky says miserably. "Do you think he likes flowers?" "I think he'd love flowers," Ms. Carter answers, then adds, "Don't ever give me an inkling of your sexual proclivities about my godson again." "YOUR GODSON?!" Bucky shrieks. Ms. Carter scoffs. "You think his family doesn't know where he is? The only reason they haven't come for him is because they're scared of me. ...Howard is scared of me," she corrected. "Maria... thinks me a worthy adversary. But she likes the arts too much to kill me." "Everything you just said is horrible and it didn't turn me off at all will they kill me? I feel like they'll kill me," Bucky begins, and then slumps miserably to the floor when she simply shrugs at him.

Okay, time to make a post to criticise PMATGA with its inconsistencies! (Probably + other stuff)

Okay so, since it's been a while since I've seen the show, some takes might be a bit invalided due to forgetting some aspects from the show if they were ever established already, so feel free to correct me after reading!

So the first two episodes, huh...

Remember when Betrayus was menacing and threatening in these episodes? While his comedic personality was balanced well with it?

Only for his threatening aspect to be taken away from him, replacing him only with his childish/pathetic personality instead?

Speaking of, he implied that he was the one who murdered the yellow ones, right? The question is; why did he do it? Why did he commit a mass murder on his kind? Why and how did he become power-hungry? Was he always like this? Was it revenge? For what? What was he trying to achieve besides wanting to rule Pacworld?

And if his murder on the yellow ones was supposed to be because they were the rulers of Pacworld back then, why didn't he just murder the certain rules at the time and overtake their throne? Why did he go all out of his way to murder every single one of them just to eliminate them?

And only for all these questions to get retconned to be changed to instead of being a murder! Oh no! They only got frozen instead! Oh no! By this new antagonist we learn of in the same season!

The Pacinator

I admit, his whole dailouge about him freezing all the yellow ones and working under someone more dangerous than Betrayus does sound a lot more intriguing! I really liked what they were going for when they chose that route! Well yes, i would've love it if they stayed on their old root with the original idea, but i guess a little bit of a rewrite wouldn't hurt? Right???? (If you know you know)

But then, here comes the questions: who hired him? Who is this bigger threat they were implying here? You can't just tell us that and never bring the Pacinator back again, or erasing the mention of this bigger threat! What got the Pacinator so invested into his job as an exterminator after the incident with his mom? Why does he enjoy it so much? Why is he never brought up again after his mysterious escape???

And that leads us the next antagonists who have been added near the last of season one, as another attempt to rewrite the disappearance of the yellow ones! Are you keeping up with this?

The PointyHeads, specifically Apex

Tbh, even up until now i love aliens! They've always been an interest to me, so of course i ended up loving their first introduction!

I just wish they were given more episodes to talk more about themselves, and what their home planet looks like, and what's their life style like... And most of all, what their relation to the yellow ones?

When did they capture the yellow ones? Why are they experimenting on them to begin with? Yes its said the yellow ones are special, but when did they learn that? Were they in Pacworld long ago before deciding to kidnap them all? When did they learn they missed one yellow orb?

Are the yellow ones this OP to begin with?? Is this why they're all being exterminated?? (Well when you think about it this way, Pac is already too OP for his main protagonist syndrome lol)

And you know what they do about all this in the end? They literally just say F it! Let's make them in Pacworld yet again in the last episode! BRUH???

Speaking of! Let's talk about Elli's existence!

So Elli, the (probably used to be) most disliked character due to some controversial stuff as she was the last character to be introduced in the very last episode as a last straw...

I can't think of any inconsistency besides bringing up how we don't even get to learn about her until very late in the series, and how her existence seems to be just an excuse to be a plot device, as we learn nothing about her character outside of the descriptions Sir C and Stratos brought up about her...

And of course we can't forget, one of the most reasons she's disliked in the fandom is due to her being used as another excuse to ship her with Pacster

AND SPEAKING OF...

Remember how Rotanda adopted Pac as her grandson in her only debut episode? Remember how she mentions she was never blessed with any grandkids before the last episode of the series? Keep in mind Elliptica was mentioned in her debut to be Stratos and Betrayus' niece, making her Rotanda's granddaughter, which makes this whole shipping thing with her and a Pac being a big yikes

(i can only give it a benefit of the doubt if the writers might have forgotten about Pac's adoption completely, although it's a bit suspicious no one pointed it out beforehand)

And now for the ghosts and power berries!

Remember when it was said no one knows what happens when a ghost eat a power berry? And it was one of the main reasons they were keeping them away from Betrayus?

Only for it to be retconned at Captain Benshi's debut? and even Pac was smugging about it as he knew what he was doing!

I have no thoughts about it as i always forget this fact honestly, and even then i wish they kept the premise they originally went for...

Spiral i can understand, since they probably didn't know what to do with him as his existence was probably meant to be Pac's best friend (even though he's the most underwhelming character who we barely know of and wish he was given his own episode[s]), but Ghost Gang? They're literally the OGs of the Pacman franshise! They're barely given the episodes detected to each one of them! They're always given this whole role of "we need to warn Pac and help him!", it's always the "where's the Ghost Gang" but never the "how's the Ghost Gang"

Yeah we did get an episode detected to Blinky _which mind you, was literally at season two, past the time where you're supposed to build your characters to know them better at season one_ , as we learn he's a Pac-Fu master, which is a good character build up in my opinion! I just wish it was hinted beforehand that he knows something we don't know instead of it being out of nowhere when the episode decided to introduce Master Goo...

Pinky we don't know much of her besides her obsession with Pac, thinking he has something for her, and even then, one inconsistency that personally makes me and some people a bit uncomfortable to mention, was when Clyde implied in Nobody Knows episode, she dated two tenticle ghosts... Unless we have to assume they were teenagers as well as her and Pac, but we are not sure exactly...

I still wish we were given more information of her and for f sake! Not talk about Pacster every sentence! We need to learn more of her!

Same goes with Inky and Clyde! We know nothing of these two! I think we only know Clyde is one of the kindhearted ghosts to exist, and he's a cook, and the goofball of the group, and that's it. I don't think we even know much of Inky besides his sarcastic personality and wanting to be on the winning side... Just UGH!

listen I love Feyre to my very core, she's my favorite FMC since I read these books and in this entire series but god she's such busybody sometimes and tries to be an expert matchmaker like Rhys but honey... no!

I'm quite certain she just wanted it to keep it in the family at that point bc did she forgot Azriel is "in love" with Mor before she suggested that? and Rhys had to aggressively shut that idea down lol. tbh I love that Rhys stopped her right then and there bc obv he knows him better than Feyre. they've known each other for +500 so ofc he can guess Az feeling on the matter and Az himself confirmed it in the bonus chapter (that Rhys also suspected) Az only wants Elain for release and nothing else.

and now her comment on them lead to her being the biggest e/riel shipper and e/riels LOVE to brag about it and its quite funny bc I think it was only that one time!!! we see Feyre encouraging Elain to talk to Lucien and even in her bonus chapter in acosf she wanted to suggest Elain to use Lucien's gloves that he gifted her but she didn't (which i hope she'd learned to not be a busybody after what happened with Lucien in acofas and Mor lecturing her to let them figure it out themselves)

After getting this message I didn't respond right away. I wanted to think back over the series because you are 100% correct but your correctness is even more far reaching.

In ACOMAF we have the following:

Feyre thinking that the reason Lucien had issues with Ianthe because she and her family fled during Amarantha's reign.

The actual reason Lucien had issues with Ianthe is because she sexually harassed him.

In ACOMAF, we have Feyre think Ianthe is her friend.

Later we find out that Ianthe was only ever self serving.

In ACOMAF Feyre kept wondering if a mating bond with Tamlin would snap into place.

The reason that didn't happen was because Rhys was her mate yet she was clueless about that until the Suriel told her.

In ACOMAF we have Feyre think about how Nesta and Amren would be fast friends.

In ACOWAR, Nesta and Amren were fast friends but not LASTING friends. Their friendship fell apart in ACOFAS and it never really recovered. I think they're in a better place after SF but they'll most likely never be as close as Nesta is with Gwyn and Emerie.

In ACOMAF, Feyre mentions how she sometimes notices Mor watching Az. She also asks Mor what she feels for Az which Mor deflects only for Feyre to then think, "but almost in answer, Mor declared, "Paint Azriel's. Next to mine".

Only that all fell apart in ACOWAR when Mor's preference came to light, something Feyre never suspected.

In ACOMAF, Feyre thinks how Az and Cassian could wipe Lucien off the planet.

But in ACOSF, we see Lucien command Cassian with a single word.

In ACOMAF, Feyre does say Elain would cling to Az to have some peace and quiet and how handsome they would be.

And in ACOWAR, we do see Elain and Az sharing moments of peace and quiet however, that seems to rapidly be falling apart in SF. Feyre once wanted peace and quiet too and at first she was happy with Tamlin until the peace and quiet no longer suited her. Similarly, we see Elain want to finally break free of her peace and quiet and Az is the person (after Nesta) who wants to keep her in her box of safety. He even spoke out against her AFTER Elain told Nesta off so it's doubly as problematic. Also, Feyre thinking of Elain and Az being together because of their physical appearance is the most superficial thing. It speaks nothing of their personalities or what they want from a partner, what their values are. Not to mention it reduces Elain to a "doll to dress up" or whose only worth is her beauty, just as their mother always did.

In ACOWAR, Feyre worries whether they can trust Lucien. Whether he would try to grab Elain, to sell them out.

Her fears are proven unfounded when she slips into Lucien's mind and realized he only has concern for Elain. Also Lucien regularly helps out the NC, sharing information with them, the opposite of selling them out.

In ACOWAR, Feyre questions why Lucien and Elain are mates without putting any consideration into who they are and what they want in a partner. She asks RHYS if HER SISTER is a match to Lucien 🤦. Her entire argument is based on the fact that Rhys and Tamlin's parents weren't a match for one another so maybe Elain and Lucien's is poor match too. Even though the reason Rhys tells us for WHY his parents weren't a match would not apply to Lucien and Elain and WOULD actually apply to Az and Elain.

Feyre is young and she doesn't always the see others clearly but that's ok because she's learning as she goes. She's asking these questions because this entire world is new to her and the why and the how's of it are something she's trying to figure out.

But anyone taking her thoughts as gospel as she's stumbling through it all is looking to the wrong person for predictions.

Feyre (in the original trilogy), Nesta (for the first 3/4 of her book) and Az (even now), for as great as they are, were /are not the characters to look too for clearheaded opinions because they are too close to certain situations, too emotional and too wrapped up in their own confusion about everything to be valid resources. Feyre and Nesta especially were all over the place. For example one minute Nesta was going on and on about how Elain is good and special and that's why Nesta protected her at all costs, and the next Nesta is furious with Elain, claiming she was "undoubtedly wholly convinced of her own innocence, her innate goodness" and mad at Cassian for defending Elain.

So again, I think much of what those three say / think in regards to Elain, Lucien, and Az needs to be taken with a grain of salt

Cassian was the one who predicted Nessmerie and guess what? They ended up being as close as sisters.

Rhys was the one who said that he might need to pull some threads in regards to Nessian and guess what? They were mated in the very next book.

Mor predicted that Lucien was trustworthy enough to enter Velaris and guess what? He didn't steal Elain away and he never sold out Velaris to anyone and helped provide information to the NC about Autumn.

We have Cassian telling us that Nesta was wrong about Elain being loyal like a dog, Rhys admit that maybe Elain behaves in certain ways because of the way the sisters treat her, we have Rhys and Mor tell Feyre to stay out of things with her meddling. We have Amren tell Az he's wrong about Elain. We have Rhys express genuine concern over the way Az spoke of Elain. These are characters who are a few steps away from it all and able to think more rationally because they aren't as personally invested in what happens. Feyre feels guilty for her sisters being made so she was desperate to throw Elain in any direction she thought might snap her out of her depression (except giving her a real chance to interact with her mate). Nesta and Az have / had too much of their own self loathing to see anything clearly. But in my opinion, Cassian, Mor, Rhys and Amren are the voices of reason when it comes to what's going on with Elucien and E/riel.

“I wish we could be together more,” Leia blurts.

“I do as well,” Anakin admits softly – it’s been gnawing him inside out ever since the moment he left Padme, since they realized what would have to happen. It still feels wrong. It is wrong, knowing how much his children want him, knowing how much he wants them, and knowing it’s nothing more than a fantasy. He’s stopped hoping, really.

“But now I’m gonna be queen soon, and then I don’t know when I’ll ever see you again,” she murmurs.

Luke reaches over, squeezing her hand. “Don’t worry. We’ll give you an identical look-alike and smuggle you off-planet whenever Father can be around.”

She lets out a surprised laugh. “That should work perfectly.”

In truth, Anakin’s been afraid of that too, but there’s nothing he can do about it. He can’t make his children stay young no matter how much he wants to. And he can’t make up for the years he never got to raise them. Time won’t go back, and they’ll be adults soon. “We can still speak by comm,” he assures, “And if I am ever in the area, I will come see you if I can. Perhaps I can ask for more missions that lead me to the area.”

Leia nods, even if she doesn’t look very hopeful.

“How long does it take to get better at this?” Luke asks, lifting a pile of leaves again.

“It depends on the person,” Anakin replies, “To some, it comes naturally. Considering the strength of your connection with the Force, I imagine that would be true about you as well.”

“Patience makes perfect,” Leia tells him brightly.

“The phrase is practice,” Luke corrects.

“Then keep practicing,” she advises.

He smirks, suddenly, throwing the leaves he’s holding right at her.

She lets out a yelp of surprise, but hastily picks them back up, promptly returning the favor.

“The Force should not be used frivolously,” Anakin reminds them, past his own amusement. But at least they’re feeling a little better at the moment. Obi-Wan would be grumpy if he knew, but he’s not here to know, anyway.

“I was practicing!” Luke insists.

“Obi-Wan would disagree,” Anakin replies, dryly.

“I thought you said he was grumpy about everything,” Leia says, grinning.

“Most of the time.”

Ok ftm!Miguel time

V. is bi btw. Ik I've never said this before, but V. is bisexual no matter what universe or version. It's one of the few constants of her character. Part of what makes her her. (just like it does me)

Imagine if V. were there for the transition. The way she'd look at him like he's art because of how wonderfully confident he's getting. The dysphoria is getting less and less for him, even if it never truly goes away. That makes her cry a little, seeing him truly comfortable in his own skin.

She'd be there at every appointment (unless asked otherwise). Every surgery, every step. She was there when he was toying with various hairstyles, playing with it no matter what. Buzzcut? Playing with it. Short curls? Playing with it. Mullet? Playing with it. Eventually we got to the one he has now, which is what he's most comfortable with. I think that if Miguel ever got bottom surgery, she'd come prepared with PLENTY of dick jokes while also helping with recovery.

I feel like half of his fashion taste would come from her finding him things and being like "I think he'd look delicious in this," and then being correct. The other half is literally just how soft it is. Miguel loves soft things, and men's clothes are always soft for some stupid reason.

I think she'd subconsciously whisper a "You're so handsome..." that has his heart doing gymnastics and shit. Ever since he started transitioning, the way she looks at him has gotten more intense. Somehow even more admiring and loving. His security in his own skin has lead her to losing her mind for him somehow even more than before. Keep in mind she was always stupidly in love. She ALWAYS thought he was beautiful and the most attractive person on the planet. And then he began transitioning and became more confident??? Oh it was so over for her.

He loves it. The loving attention and admiration. The support and validation. Her telling him "hey it's a girl's night, piss off" with a grin became a CORE memory for him. Being introduced to her mom as her boyfriend also became a core memory. Her burying her face in his neck to smell his cologne is something he thinks about often. She was there for literally all of it, even when he didn't know what he wanted to call himself yet. When he was still his deadname. When he didn't even know what he was, just knowing he wasn't a girl. Their lives are so intertwined, to tell the story of only one without the other is to be blatantly wrong.

i work best with guiding/prompting questions so in the absence of those i will just ramble about shit until i cant recall any more of my thoughts so this might be strange and disjointed 👍

im obsessed w keron society so i keep an eye out for canon indications of What It’s Like so here’s my list of canon keron society trivia i remember off the top of my head: they have military training schools for elementary school age children. more specifically, they seem to have almost exclusively if not actually exclusively military training schools, i.e., i dont know if theres any mention of non-military schools of any kind and the way characters talk about it indicates that Military Training Schools are the schools everyone goes to by Default. In fact! overall! keron society seems to be built on the military, run by the military, and almost entirely comprised of the military. It’s not necessarily unusual for most of the keronians we meet to be part of the army since all of our Main Characters are part of the army and we’re therefore seeing the world From Their Perspective but uh. I think “join the army” is straight up the default, expected life path on keron and anything else is a noteworthy Deviation. My evidence: when putata first shows up giroro immediately assumes that he’s part of the army and asks for his rank even though like,. “being a keronian on earth” really does NOT automatically correlate to being there as part of the military, by that point we’ve at least met… Well, by that point i’m pretty sure we’ve at least met dororo’s mom, who as far as I can tell isn’t part of the keron army at least anymore, so you know………. Point IS: all signs I’ve noticed point to: Keron is founded on its military. The majority of its population is part of its military. It’s a military society. Fucked up right?

SPEAKING OF THE SHURARA CORPS. *GESTURES TO GIRURU AND DOKUKU* FUCKED UP RIGHT ??????????? I’ve already kind of forgotten the EXACT details as they go over them in the dokuku episode but context if any of my non-keroro followers are reading this heres how i remember it: (*resists the urge to go rewatch that part of the episode to double check*) giruru and dokuku are brothers, they were experimented on by, i believe, the fucking military again, and turned into A Liquid and A Gas respectively, and this is explicitly framed as “wow! fucked up! both of their lives were literally RUINED and they DO NOT WANT THIS”. HUH? Also what’s with dokuku being specifically called like the first gas keronian THEY MADE MORE? LIKE OF COURSE THEY MADE MORE BUT ??? UNETHICAL KERONIAN EXPERIMENTATION CANON.

SPEAKING OF THAT HEY WHATS UP WITH THE CLONING THING. No literally, what’s up with the cloning thing. The garuru platoon arc in the manga explains it pretty concisely, platoon commanders get their fucking DNA saved so that if they’re ever deemed unfit for command in any way by the Keron army they can be REPLACED WITH A CLONE OF THEMSELF and then DE-AGED TO A POINT IN THEIR LIFE LONG BEFORE THEY WERE CONSIDERED UNFIT TO COMMAND AND THE ORIGINAL IS PUT ASIDE AS PART OF THE RESERVE FORCES. The manga also says somewhere that keroro is the 315th. THE THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTEENTH K66 TYPE KERONIAN. HEY WHAT? GUYS ARE YOU GONNA ELABORATE ON THAT? NO? NO? I mean, maybe they do in some way. But probably not. I don’t know.

I also get the feeling that Planet “Every Single Person Born Here Is Going To Join Our Military While Still A Literal Child, Correct? Awesome!” does not have great resources for coping with any trauma or anything else induced by their military. I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s FASCINATING. Studying the nightmare planet as a means to study the main characters. Studying the nightmare planet and desperately wishing we had more information about it. I want to watch this shitshow up close and in action. It’s bad. It is bad. Fucked up planet from hell. Dear God.

keroro puts his energy towards things he finds Fun and at one point he found being part of the army Fun enough to give it his full and genuine attention and earn a reputation as someone competent and capable before he stopped finding it particularly Fun and stopped really giving a shit or trying very hard. (aka, Keroro is Space Neurodivergent, which is true anyway)

there’s an episode of the anime where keroro’s dad saves the whole platoon, completely unknowingly, by complete accident, while also drunk off his ass. What if he’s always like that. Competent on accident. What if Keroro is also like that. He did a bunch of cool shit, but like, just kind of stumbled into it without meaning to or really realizing what he was doing.

I only have A-N for Hosea right now but I’ll do the rest of the alphabet when I get around to it. Enjoy!

A-Affection (How do they show their affection? )

His affection is actually very sweet. As your partner in crime, and love partner, everytime you talk, he never interrupts, paying good attention to your face every time. If it’s raining or too cold for you, he’ll grab his coat and put it around you. There will be times where he celebrates with the men after a successful robbery, but when you ask for his affection, he quickly says his excuses, before immediately going over to his tent with you, to spend time with you. He’d also be the one to make you laugh every day, even if no one else can do the same.

B-Best Friend (How did you two meet? What would they be like as your best friend?)

You two meet by chance, of course. It would have been in a place in town that he was visiting. When he saw you, he knew you were the most gorgeous woman to ever exist on the planet. Though, he wouldn’t tell you that until confession time.

For best friend, whenever you’re in jail and need someone to break you out, it’s always going to be him giddying on up into the jailhouse with his bottles of alcohol to get you out. Once, after he got you out, he kissed your cheek and grazed his hand on yours before saying that you two had to part ways. If this didn’t make you blush, he’d try harder next time.

C-Cuddles (Do they like cuddling? How would they cuddle?)

I think he does like cuddles, but he would only do them at night. At night, his cuddles are very warm and safe like, as he truly cares for you. He holds you not tightly but tight enough to where any movement you make has to be quiet as you can.

D-Domestic (Would they help you around the house? Are they willing to settle down?)

Oh yeah. Modernly, he’d be making a killing on stand up comedy, his true passion. And if he could, he would love to settle down and marry you, or at least be your lifelong partner if you don’t like commitment. Even though he’s an old man, he’s skilled in hunting and would be the one getting game ripe to eat for the both of you. If you want to make a garden or do up a house, he’d happily do that too.

E-Ending (What would happen if they broke up with their partner?)

Oh dear, if this happens, he’d look absolutely heartbroken. Like John, he’d do whatever he can to make sure to correct whatever bad he did, and probably make some jokes to make you feel better. He would never break up with a sweet person like you.

F-Fiancé(e) (Would they be interested in having you as their bride or promised one?)

Absolutely. Whatever you wish.

G-Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Physically and emotionally, he’s as gentle as a bunny, but only to you. He has to keep his reputation, you know. But he keeps his guard down around you because you’re his S/O after All.

H-Hugs (How would they hug and do they like it? Might compare it with cuddles)

Hugs are a wonderful thing for him, and he’s gladly take a hug or two. His hugs are always with his arms around you and holding you close. He might sway you side to side if he sees you a bit… unusual, or he might whisper sweet nothings into your ear to get you back into spirits.

I-I love you (How fast would they say the L-word?)

It would take some time for the L-word to come out but when it does, it’s genuine and meaningful. Even if you don’t feel the same, which I hope you do for the headcanon lol, he’d understand and go along his merry way. But if you do, he’s already into gentleman mode, taking your hand and dashing you away somewhere.

J-Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Oh, if this man is jealous, you better watch out. He can spat out like a gun and go into a fight if you’re not careful, not to you, the person that makes him jealous. Basically, this is the same as Security so I’ll be skipping the letter s for this one.

He protects you from people like that, and he likes being protected by however you mean to do it, just don’t get killed in the process. I mean, he’d still be pretty pissed off at the person who injured you, by gun or pride.

K-Kiss (What are their kisses like? How often would this be happening? Where do they like to kiss you and where they would like to be kissed.)

His kisses are very sweet and very meaningful. If he has to go away from you for a little while, his kiss would be short lived, but it would be with his hands on your cheeks. Mostly, he loves to kiss your head or forehead, especially in front of the gang. I can tell you that he wouldn’t like to be kissed on his chest or neck in front of the gang, yet he doesn’t mind it if it’s his shoulder, especially close to his neck. Each kiss is affectionate between you two and everyday he would tell you he loves you, even if you have a bad day.

L-Little Ones (How are they with children?)

As we see with Jack, and Arthur, and John, he basically raises them like his own children. Being the dad jokester, he also taught them to write and read, and if you can make children, he’d be ecstatic, more kids to take care of.

M-Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings can be great or they can be spent without him. When it’s great, you can hear his voice from outside the tent you sleep in together with him, and when he comes in, he has out a cup of coffee and a kiss on your head. If you’re still asleep, he won’t wake you up, Susan wakes you for chore duties. After the chores are done, he spends the rest of the day either waiting for orders to do whatever the gang needs, or he spends it with you, reading from his book out loud, and possibly arguing with some of the gang members who try to flirt with you.

N-Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights are complicated. Especially if it affects the morning after. If he was gone all day, don’t expect him to be back that night. If he arrived back to camp that morning, it’s a fifty-fifty chance he might go back out again. Though, if he is there that night, he’d make up the things he hasn’t done for you. If you just want to hug him and listen to him read his book, he’ll do that for you. If you’re sad that’s he’s been gone for so long, he’ll make up some jokes for you to at least try to make you smile. He’s the sweet, lovable jokester dad figure that would do anything to see you at least smile when you go to sleep. Even if that smile comes after he snuggles up with you for the night.

So...not directly, but I know there are headcanons I've picked up reading fics that I sort of adopted as my own and it's been difficult to parse through whether I got something from one particular person or just absorbed a commonly embraced idea while binging on fics back in December (I was in my "I'm just going to read, but I won't ever write fanfiction" stage of denial then). That's been one of the wild things about jumping into fandom after avoiding it for so long -- especially since there was the EU reboot -- working through what's old canon (which I wasn't really acquainted with outside of the movies), new canon, widely accepted fanon, and personal headcanon has been borderline impossible at times. If I do knowingly pull an idea from somewhere other than canon, I do mention it in author's notes, but it's usually smallish details -- I don't think I've written an entire fic inspired by someone else's.

📬 The best comment you ever received?

So, I have received many lovely and encouraging comments and I am particularly partial to the ones that say I've captured characters' voices and characterizations well because, at the end of the day, the characters are far more important to me than how correct my estimation of the time it takes to fly between two planets is. Really, the majority of my comments have been encouraging, and some have been endlessly thoughtful, and I'm appreciative of each one. I would find it difficult to rank one above the rest since I have several that I would consider top-tier comments that have been inspiring and lovely and really made my week.

But this question doesn't ask for the loveliest, it asks for the best, so I'm going to interpret that in the way I think is funniest. And the comment that has brought me the most...entertainment was an anonymous comment left on FFN when the name "Amilyn Holdo" was mentioned in Chapter 8 of Purpose of Heritage:

Amilyn Holdo So I guess in your fanfic universe Han and Leia split up and have a kid who murders his father. Thanks for the warning. I'll find something else to read.

I know this just seems like a very bland and weirdly bitter hate comment, but every time I think about it, it gets a little funnier because:

1. I am like 90% sure I know exactly who wrote this (it's a regular commenter of mine who has been on my I'm Keeping an Eye on You List for like five months) based on some other odd behavior on the part of this person, the intense vitriol they have for the sequel trilogy that makes glancing through one of their profiles feel like reading a manifesto, and their contacting me directly about the guest comment with some really strange timing. And if I'm right and this is that reader, they're still reading and commenting on that story every time I post a new chapter.

2. This fic explicitly takes place between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, a fact that is clearly stated in the fic description. We're stopping literally the morning of the day ESB begins (I may not have the next five thousand chapters written, but I do have the final scene, so I know that much). So, even if I was super on board with the sequel trilogy's take on Han and Leia (which I'm very much not), it literally does not affect this story at all.

3. If they hate the new canon so vehemently that a single mention of a character turns them off of a fic, they should be aware that I was pulling details from From A Certain Point of View since like Chapter One and Leia, Princess of Alderaan (which is where Holdo actually first shows up both chronologically and if we're going by release date) since Chapter Three. That's right: they were reading new canon mixed in with old the whole time!

4. Amilyn Holdo isn't mentioned until about sixty-eight thousand words into the story. They read sixty-eight thousand words of my story and the mere mention of canonical Alliance member Amilyn Holdo, a character who I still can't decide if I want to actually show up, was the final straw. Hi lovely! Thanks for your message. I've gotten quite a few asks about this, but I'm just going to answer this one, because I don't want to dwell on the negativity that's attached to it.

Thanks so much for the congratulations, and thank you for not being argumentative or polarizing in your ask, but let me first of all reiterate, just in case, that I am just as much as Seb stan as I am a Chris stan. I can hear some people rolling their eyes because they're like 'hello you've literally only reblogged chris today' but like........... if it had been Seb, I'd have done the exact same thing obviously, so come on. (I'll put the rest of my reply under the cut because it got long)

Now, I don't know for sure why some people thought it would be Sebastian (I think some people started discussing that it *should* or could be him and that created rumours, but correct me if I'm wrong). As far as I'm aware, there was no real indication that it could be him, beyond that apparently the SMA title is 'supposed' to go to someone who's had a 'big' year in their career, however that might be defined. We can all agree that Sebastian 1000% had a big year, and that he's been doing incredibly well for himself, and that he's looking sexier than ever, so OBVIOUSLY he would have deserved the title, I'm not at all debating that.

But while Sebastian has been doing amazingly well for himself and is much more well known that he was a few years ago, I think he's still not quite at the level of stardom that most people who get 'crowned' SMA are. So to me, it's not a surprise that he didn't get it, and I would have never expected him to get it (at least not this year). Again, not because I don't think he deserves it, but just because I don't feel like he's at at level of fame (yet). And even if I'm wrong, and he is on People's radar, then he'd still have to accept the title, and honestly, I'm not sure if I could see him doing that. Maybe not ever, but especially not at this time in his career. He's focusing on being taken more seriously, and I'm not sure how well a title like this one would help with that. This is just my personal feeling though, and I'll readily admit I might be wrong.

However. That still doesn't change the fact that Chris getting the title does not mean he's stolen it from Sebastian, which is apparently how some people have been acting. That's just complete bullshit. Only one person can get the title every year, and it's a tribute to that one person, NOT a slight to literally every other man on the planet. I personally find it unbelievable that some of Sebastian's stans are saying that Chris doesn't deserve the title because Sebastian should have gotten it. That makes no sense. Maybe if People had announced a shortlist and Chris and Seb had both been on there I'd have sort of gotten it, but that wasn't the case so ???

I've also seen people say Chris hasn't had a big year in his career and he therefore doesn't deserve the title ('what has he had? two bad movies?'), which, with all due respect, get lost. Chris has worked his ass off this year too, he's given us two movies (which I personally genuinely loved, for the record), done two world press tours and given us a whole lot of other stuff too (puppy interview and ASP to name but a few) and in my opinion it's incredibly rude and entitled to say he doesn't deserve the title because his movies didn't do as well as Sebastian's, or because you personally didn't like them. AND THEN, apparently now there are also Chris fans actively mocking and picking fights with Sebastian stans over this, which.... lord help me.

They BOTH did well this year. They're BOTH sexy and wonderful. They BOTH deserve the title, but only one person can get it, and this time it was Chris. Deal with it. Maybe some other year it's gonna be Seb, that would be wonderful!

Pitting these two against each other is something I'll never understand. It's so childish and lame, my god. Do these Seb stans honestly think that Sebastian saw the news and thought 'fuck this guy, it should've been meeee!!!!' or something? Or that Chris is gloating, thinking "I outsexied Sebastian, mwahaha!' Like? Chris and Sebastian are friends. Sebastian is without a doubt happy for Chris, and probably mostly amused about the whole thing. Knowing Sebastian, he'd be embarrassed and upset to know his fans are fighting Chris's fans online, saying it should have been him, and Chris would be disgusted that people are being mean to each other online in his name too. So just... don't do that. Grow up. Stop being negative about literally everything and try and contribute something good and positive to the world instead. In other words: take a leaf out of your faves book.

Bloom is already gonna suffer under the fact that the people of Domino expect things from her as their savior™, and her parents just being normal (if accidentally overbearing) would be enough for her to cheese it back to earth. Simply because she's crushed under the weight of everyone wanting something from her, trying to impose their own view of what the ideal Bloom should be on her. While at the same time she's realizing that the idealized version of Domino and her parents in her head was complete nonsense, because they're just people

If Bloom's parents were terrible people, oppressive monarchs, ect, Bloom would be beyond crushed. Her connection to the magical dimension that's both ruined and fixed her life in every way possible are like the worst people and she was supposed to be one of them

I think this was cause her to push back on being associated with Domino, before Aisha "I would personally die for any child on Andros" Fariy of liquids pulls her aside for the "the government doesn't make the people" speech. Which is mostly "we've beaten up other evil monarchs, and we've already come this far for the people of Domino. What's a little parricide for our people between friends." Bc Aisha doesn't fuck around for the greater good, neither does Tecna tbh but she's bad at motivational speeches

I think Stella and Musa would be more focused on comforting Bloom for the personal tragedy of Bloom's parents being bad, over the "fuck em, let's librate the people" stance Aisha and Tecna immediately take. (Idk about Flora) Not because they don't care, but because they expect the correct people to handle big situations, after they do their due diligence of like making sure it's known. Mostly bc thats how Eraklyon went down lol

And they're probably right. They can't just decide they're judges doling out vigilante justice, bc that would get them arrested. They can report it and make a huge public stink about it

But then there's the problem that Domino has been gone for so long that most common people barely remember it's name. Domino is behind like fucking hell. It's technology, it's connections, it's politics, it's everything, and destabilizing it at this moment definitely risks a different power swooping in and taking control of the planet while it's weak and wobbly

Bloom projects so hard on her bio family because she never really fit in on earth. She didn't have friends, no one liked her, the only people she was really close to was her amazing loving adoptive parents. So she projects HARD on Domino because she's trying to imagine a place where she always did belong and not have to deal with stuff like bullying. To learn that her parents are evil??? Horrible. Awful. Someone please get her a tissue, she's been crying for an hour

Tecna and Flora have had a little "cheer up! Parents ain't shit" ever since they learned Bloom was on earth bc they were convinced she was abandoned, so they just have to teek that a little—

Bloom's little arc about coming into her own ending with her beating up the people she's idealized as the ones who would of kept her from getting bullied her whole life because they're POS and her just coming to terms with herself would actually be really fucking dope tho.... On top of her arc with Roxy, who magic makes her life worse not better, and coming to terms with that

Of course Marion and Oritel are not Bloom's parents any more, bc I can't see ppl like this ver of the King and Queen personally fighting on the front lines. So they're a Fariy couple who are also the Guardian Faries of Domino, and they're the ones that do the Regicide LMAO

I feel like this would fuck up they're relationship with eachother as mentors and people who knew and worked with Daphne (who is STILL good person mind you. Neither Bloom nor myself could handle that so she's nice and very dead) because now her chance of closer is gone. Flora probably hits her with "the only versions of them you knew were the ones in your head. You need to make peace with them instead." Because she's an emotionally intelligent queen
