[KKIR] The smell of another
(Posted on AO3)
-
Some things, Iruka doesn't notice straight away. Truly, between the bafflement and the awe that is dating Konoha's Rokudaime, man of a great many legends and mysteries, he's a bit too starry-eyed to process additional information. He's also, frankly, waiting for the other shoe to drop, likely in the form of a laconic dumping.
The shoe doesn't drop. The relationship holds. It's shaken, a bit, when Kakashi reveals his face with a moment of gravitas that rings a thousand alarm bells in Iruka's mind over an imminent break up. Which he admits out loud, a bit hysterical with relief.
On that day, he sees the sheepish tilt of Kakashi's lips--his bare lips!--give way to a cold, toothless sneer. Then the whole thing is masked up again.
''If you believe it so fragile, I don’t think we’re on the same page regarding this relationship,'' Kakashi says, going on the offensive as he so often does when upset by an unfair assessment of his character.
Luckily for Iruka, because it sets him right back on track.
''Oh grow up, Kakashi, you don't have a monopoly on insecurity. Now show me again, so I can be smug about it when people speculate.''
Things go smoother after that and Iruka’s now blessed with the bare sight of those sharp, high cheekbones and thin lips on a regular basis.
Anyway, Iruka had way too much going on in their early relationship to notice the subtler details.
''What are you thinking about?" Kakashi asks, dipping his head on his way to the kitchen to briefly trail his nose over Iruka's nape.
It tickles a shudder out of Iruka. The flash of Kakashi's smug grin as he turns away says that hasn't gone unnoticed.
''How much of a pissbaby you can be,'' Iruka replies, still half a mind on his spreadsheet of the Academy's budget for the next semester.
The following bark of laughter is muffled by the fridge, but only barely. ''What now?"
"Oh, Iruka ,'' Iruka starts with great sarcasm, ''if you haven't picked names for the four hundred fifty nine ninken we’re gonna adopt or started to look into houses for us to move in, you must not be serious about me.''
''Oh, grow-up,'' Kakashi says good-naturedly, plopping beside him at the kotatsu. One steaming mug he sets on the table, the other he keeps in his cupped hands lowered on his lap. The smell of masala chai is quick to carry over.
''Thanks,'' Iruka says, sipping from the one that was left for him.
''Hm-hm.''
The solid heat of Kakashi's body sinks bit by bit into him, with something sleepy and languid to his posture. His nose finds its way to the hollow between Iruka's neck and shoulder.
With a huff, Iruka switches his drink to his other hand so he can ease his left arm in an inviting arch that Kakashi is quick to lean into. The nose, though, stays put.
''I still can't believe you're a cuddler,'' Iruka snickers gently, broad hand drawing swipes over Kakashi's flank.
''You'd best believe it,'' Kakashi mumbles with suspiciously accurate inflections. He rubs his face against Iruka, who briefly presses back with his lower jaw before resuming his accounting.
Tries not to get distracted by the intermittent nuzzling.
''Are you smelling me?" he ultimately asks, feeling amused in that fond way that makes his chest ache.
''Yes.''
''All right, then.''
''Do you mind?"
''Just don't tickle me, I've got to concentrate. I need to be convincing so the Hokage approves my new budget.''
Burrowing even deeper, Kakashi nudges past the neck of Iruka's shirt to where the collarbone emerges from the generous muscle padding of his shoulder, right at the base of his throat.
''I'm sure you'll do fine," he murmurs with some humor.
And then he settles, dozing off to the warmth of Iruka’s scent.
It’s one of the quirks Iruka notices, now, and that he cherishes.
He tucks Kakashi's drink away before it spills from hands gone lax--though not without stealing some, just for the sake of wincing at the unsweetened taste of it--and hugs him closer, poring over dreadfully boring numbers to the soft snuffling of his companion.
And if he sometimes pauses just long enough to breathe from the spiky hair within reach, well, Kakashi doesn't have a leg to stand on on such matters.

Prompt Discussion - Recovery
Tumblr media
Your only limit to interpreting our prompts for your own creations is your imagination! However, you’ve told us you enjoy these discussion posts as jumping-off points, and we are happy to oblige!
Please feel free to use any ideas sparked by these posts, reblog/reply/comment and build off them to help inspire yourself or others - or, of course, entirely ignore them if you’d prefer!
Recovery (September 17th - Day 8, Prompt A)
Tumblr media
Now here’s something Kakashi has done a lot of in his time . . . although perhaps not enough in some ways, hm? Well! Let’s focus on what he’s done - or what we wish he’d had time for. . .
🍃 Has Kakashi gone flat from chakra exhaustion again? Has he returned battered and injured and needing some time in the hospital? 🍃 Or has someone he cared for? Did he haul back one of his students badly hurt and is now hovering guiltily as they heal? Is Kakashi also used to being on this side of things, or is it new and he’s finding he does not like it? 🍃 Is Kakashi finally going to therapy, which he has badly needed for decades? 🍃 Has Kakashi been dispatched on a very important mission to recover an expensive item, vital intelligence, or a missing person? 🍃 Is Kakashi going after something of his own that has gone astray - or, taken in a more abstract sense, is Kakashi trying to win back a friend or partner’s regard? Or someone else trying to recover his good impression of or feelings for them? 🍃 Take it on the sexy side and experiment with refractory periods, or recovering after a really good night (or day, or stolen moment. . .) with a partner(s) wearing him out or leaving him happily marked up? (Or a partner contemplating their lingering marks, soreness, weariness, and anticipation for next time?)
By the end of an event week we may all need a little recovery time! What sort of rest time (or struggle!) will you highlight?

@abyssaldespair whispered: "Kakashi"
Tumblr media
Hearing from Obito can mean, well...a myriad of things. There’s really no telling until he simply gets on with it, so...Kakashi lets him do just that.
Tumblr media
“Obito. What’s on your mind, buddy?”

A guardian’s purpose is to keep their constituents safe.
For generations, the komainu of the Hatake have watched over shrines of this land, protecting it from both malevolent humans and spirits alike. Any who would do harm or deface the sacred lands of the shrines they protect are quickly struck down.
     They serve no other purpose.
Though young, one given the name Kakashi takes his role seriously. Standing guard at the entrance of the shrine that serves the Kurogane tribe, keen dark eyes watch every passerby, looking for hints of trouble.
Today, the youngest of the current Kurogane offspring is here to pay her respects and help with the upkeep of the shrine. A bright young lady with developing powers in the arcane. So far he’s managed to avoid her gaze, not wanting to interfere with the humans.
But today, he has little choice.
Among a few worshippers walks a rather suspicious being. Unnoticed by the humans around it, there’s no hiding the tips of two bushy tails beneath the hem of its yukata.
Kitsune. Trickers spirits, more often than not. Probably looking to steal from the shrine. Eyes narrowing, Kakashi follows, appearing to be little more than a human boy to the humans. He watches from a distance, not wanting to be seen until he can catch the spirit in the act.
But rather than pilfer from the donation box or trinkets within the shrine, it slinks off to another room…and Kakashi quickly realizes why. Drawing a tanto, he streaks off after it with inhuman speed. Just as the fox raises a crude dagger behind the girl’s back, Kakashi parries in a shower of sparks.
Tumblr media
“Murder on sacred grounds…that’s low, even for a yōkai like you,” he grunts. “And to think you’ve brothers and sisters that serve O-Inari-sama…disgraceful.”
Cover blown, the fox pins ears and bares teeth. “Tsukimono-suji are what are disgraceful. Humans with stolen power are a threat! You’ll see…soon she and others like her will enslave you and taint our world with their ways…!”
“So long as she’s tied to this shrine, she’s mine to protect. Get out before my fangs find you. And they’re far larger than yours, fox.”
Clearly outmatched despite the lion dog’s youth, the vulpine gives a hissing snort before streaking from the shrine.
After a pause, Kakashi sheaths his blade, turning to the girl with an unreadable expression. So much for going unseen…but at least his true nature should still be hidden with a careful guise. How to explain a boy with a sword in a shrine, he isn’t sure…but he hopes she doesn’t stick her nose in too far. Humans and spirits have their natural boundaries, after all.
“…even sacred ground isn’t entirely safe. Watch your back,” is all he offers, tone a bit terse. He’s very rarely spoken to humans - doing so makes him feel…ill at ease.
But he also knows the kitsune was wrong.
With that, he heads back to his post. Good thing he kept an eye out - he doesn’t yet have a paired shishi to watch the shine while he keeps to the grounds.
…someday. Until then, he’s on his own.

"Kakashi, I want a small vacation! Ryu is having a week off with Reiji, I want one too, please... "
[ @abyssaldespair ]
Tumblr media
Busy as he may be as Rokudaime, there’s still certain things Kakashi keeps tabs on more than others. And one of his top priorities is making sure his old teammate stays out of trouble. Which, granted, he’s done a fairly good job of ever since being released from his stint in Konoha’s prison.
...of course...that wasn’t exactly a happy time. But life goes on, and it’s only seemed to get better for his friend. And the Hatake is nothing but happy for him...and proud, too. He’s come a long way...and the most recent development has been the birth of Obito’s son, Reiji.
At the request, Kakashi can’t help a chuckle. “Ah, right...seems you’ve officially gotten yourself a family now, eh Obito?” he can’t help but tease, eye crinkling with a smile. “A step up from just being married...congratulations.”
Tumblr media
Now, for the matter at hand. Leaning forward at his desk, Kakashi rests his elbows, weaving his fingers. “I suppose I could pull a few strings...as harsh as the council has been on you, I hope they can at least understand this isn’t exactly a run-of-the-mill excuse...” It’s not every day your first child is born, after all. “I’ll make it happen. If they want to give you any crap about it, well...I’ll handle it. It’s the least I can do.” He still feels like he owes Obito a fair bit, so...diverting the council’s inevitable grumbling is simple enough. “Just don’t say I never did anything for you, hm?”
It’s not like he isn’t well-versed in it by now, anyway.
With that, he leans back into his chair and waves the Uchiha away. “Out with you, then. We’ll say your week starts today, so...make the best of it. Maybe if I can get away from all this paperwork at some point, I’ll have to come visit the little guy.” While not exactly taking the family route himself, that doesn’t mean he can’t spare time for what he might as well call his nephew, right?

Sorry To Wake You
Hatake Kakashi x F!Reader (fluff)
“When sleep doesn’t come easy, he can always count on her.”
She sat up and looked towards her window where he sat crouched on her small balcony, his open eye filled with exhaustion, maybe even a little boredom. Typical Kakashi. Her feet touched the cold ground lightly and she wandered to the window on the balls of her feet, making little to no sound. The window opened and he tilted his head as she moved aside.
“It’s late this time, Kakashi.” Her voice quietly cutting through the silence after a few moments.
“Got lost on the-“
“-path of life.” The two said in unison. He laughed softly. “Come in. It’s kind of chilly tonight.”
He did. Kakashi often found himself in her home on nights like these. Nights he laid awake, thinking of everything he did wrong in his life, or nights where the PTSD ate at him mind’s sleep only to startle him awake from a night terror. There was something about her that was comforting. He could say that he was infatuated with her, that he could see a future with her, but he would lose her. Like he’s lost everyone else.
“Sorry to wake you.” Kakashi said, his hand scratching behind his head, voice heavy with exhaustion. He probably hadn’t sleep very well in the past few days. “I’ve been tossing and turning all night trying to stay away, but... well, you know I suppose. I always seem to sleep a little better here.”
“It’s okay, I have trouble sleeping anyway. You don’t ever bother me when you come here.” She smiled softly at the copy ninja, touching his bare shoulder to reassure him, brushing down the Anbu mark tattooed on his skin. Kakashi felt himself blush under the mask, thanking the moon’s dim light as well. Her touch... her. “‘Kashi-kun, c’mon.” He shook his head from his thoughts, feeling her tug his wrist to follow her to bed. That nickname. It made him forget what he really was to everyone. Cold-blooded Kakashi. Friend-Killer Kakashi. Kakashi of the Sharingan. He wouldn’t have minded them if they weren’t true. Of course, that is who he is and he wasn’t going to pretend it wasn’t, but she could distract him from it for a little while. “What?”
“Uh? Nothing. Just thinking.” he replied. She raised an eyebrow at her guest, but crawled into bed without pressing, leaving room for Kakashi to follow. She often wondered why it was her he came to. What made her the one that seemed to comfort him most? Kakashi was, well, to be frank, a pussy magnet, although he was a bit strange and reserved, after all, no one just read porn in public like he does. She’s not even entirely certain he’s had sex with anyone. No matter, younger women of the village didn’t even need to see his face to be attracted to the man, his attitude and politeness did it for them. She’d never seen his entire face either, so she wasn’t counting herself as super special, but she couldn’t help but get warm inside when he appeared at her window on any given night.
It didn’t used to be like this. She used to think Kakashi was cocky and arrogant, that his captain fueled ego made his head huge and he was obnoxiously good at everything. And his chidori. He lived up to the name cold-blooded Kakashi back then. The way he had programmed himself to turn off every emotion he had and be a killing machine. Nowadays, now older, those who didn’t know him would say he’s lazy, always late, and has no care or desire to do anything unless it was a mission. He rarely went out, and when he did it was at the pressure of Gai and Asuma. But she knew that it was quite the contrary. Kakashi was a wonderful sensei, albeit difficult, that pushed his students past their breaking points. He cared greatly for his missions, too. Kakashi wasn’t the distant, closet perv everyone thought him to be. She knew the older ninja better than that.
“You don’t have to apologize for coming, you know? You always act like it would bother me.” she glanced sideways, watching the shinobi crack his knuckles and settle into the pillows behind him. His scarred Sharingan eye met her sideways glance before his head turned towards her. Was he making sure to remember this? “No pervy novel tonight either, that’s not the Kakashi I know.”
He responded with a shrug, face and eyes going back to the ceiling, calculating but relaxed. Kakashi was constantly on edge, maybe that’s from his Anbu captain days. She wondered what he was like before all of that happened to him, before Rin, before his father. What kind of man would Kakashi Hatake be if none of that happened. Would he be married now? Have kids? Still be an Anbu?
“You’re staring.” His voice snapped her out of it.
“I- I was not staring, I was just...” She trailed off, huffing quietly. Kakashi smiled softly under his mask as how flustered she got. He wondered if she would do what she did four nights prior in her sleep. Kakashi had been sitting awake reading his novel as she snored softly, murmuring nonsense. He looked down, watching her, contemplating what she could be dreaming about (hoping it may have been him). She furrowed her brows and reached her arm across her bed, placing it over his waist and pulled herself against his flank, one of her legs bending to rest over his.
Kakashi froze when she did, the Icha Icha novel forgotten, but still open in his fingers. He slowly closed the book, trying his best to stay as still as possible as to not to disturb the woman curled up in the crook of his torso and his hips. His fingers threaded through her soft hair, a knot growing in his stomach and she squeezed his body just a little tighter. Kakashi thought to himself that he wouldn’t mind ending ever night of the rest of his life like this, just her and him... and the hounds. But just the two of them. Maybe he wouldn’t mind a kid, but if not, this would do just fine for him.
“You know,” Kakashi turned his attention back to the present as she finally broke the silence. “you’ve always had that mask on. Why? I mean, every time you come here you’re still wearing it. Even after all these years we’ve known each other.”
He chuckled quietly. “Just... something I’ve always done. Even before the Anbu or the Academy. I look too much like my family... too much like my father.”
“I bet it’s a handsome face.”
“Hm?”
“Your face under the mask. I bet it’s handsome. Maybe it’s not a bad thing to look like your clan, Kakashi, after all, you’re your own person. What happened to your father is no reflection on who you are.”
Silence hung over the two, neither wanting to say what they so desperately wanted to. He was too afraid to love and she was too afraid to get hurt. Kakashi made up his mind, his fingers reaching up and lowering the fabric in the presence of another for the first time in a very long time. She watched, eyes growing wide as he let out a breath as the cool air touched the bottom half of his face.
Of course he was that gorgeous. Of course he looked like a god in the moonlight. Of course Kakashi Hatake was the pussy magnet he was. She noticed small details. Particularly he beauty mark under his bottom lip, lips that curved perfectly and looked soft. She smiled when he looked down from her gaze, cheeks tinged pink with the embarrassment of being admired.
“I was right.” He looked back at her as she stroked a hand through his silver hair.
“Don’t flatter me.” he said.
She felt particularly brave. Why? She didn’t think she knew. But she turned Kakashi’s face and pressed her lips to his, and they were soft. So soft. The hand reaching around her back was calloused from years of missions and training, but the arms that enveloped her were sturdy and strong. They didn’t kiss one another rough, there wasn’t just lust between them. They had more, something unspoken, something that started years ago when his soft knuckles hesitantly touched her window for the first time.
“You can come to me anytime, Kakashi.” she said to him that day with a smile after he had disclosed to her about his night terrors. “Sometimes it helps when someone else is there.”
Kakashi whined ever so softly at the loss of her kiss when she pulled away. Her soft laughter was music to his ears, he didn’t want to lose her, but it would be so much worse if she was with someone else.
“I’m afraid.” Kakashi confessed. She listened, locking her eyes with his as she carded through his hair softly. “If I lost you like I lost everyone else... I don’t know what I’d do... I want you, but I don’t want to get attached and have you ripped away from me.”
“Oh ‘Kashi...” Her eyes held a sadness, a small amount of pity for him. Of course he was scared, but to hear the copy ninja himself say he was afraid just felt different. “You don’t need to be afraid, but it’s okay to be.”
“It’s always been you, you know? Even when it seemed like I wanted nothing to do with you.” She blushed. “In reality, I was afraid that if I let myself love you, you’d get taken from me...”
She wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her face between his neck and her arms. He wrapped one arm around her upper back and the other around her waist, pulling her as close as possible. He didn’t need her to answer, the way she held him now was enough for Kakashi to know. “Don’t you have to meet your students tomorrow morning? It really is quite late.”
“Mh. They’re used to it.” he murmured to her. He was always late, always has been, always will be. And to be with her, he’ll be late to everything. She laughed lightly, swinging herself off his body and sitting back with him, her arm touching his.
“So we’re going to try?” she asked. Kakashi nodded once and brought his arm up and around her shoulders, sighing contently when she rolled a bit to tuck herself against him. This was going to be fine this time, that’s what they both told themselves. It would be fine.

The Poisoned Secret Part 3
Chapter 3: The village
Disclaimer: I don’t own Naruto or it’s spin-off Boruto.
.
.
.
Two weeks later in a village just on the outskirts of the eastern border of Fire country.
Sasuke’s POV
“Well looks like we’ve finally made it Sasuke,” Kakashi says to me as we enter the small village.
After Sakura and the Fifth Hokage discerned that it was a poisoned tip blade that killed her parents Naruto sent Kakashi and I to the village they were discovered in to see if we could find any clues.
At first, I had no interest in going on a wild goose chase when Sakura and Sarada were still in mourning since any evidence would’ve been long gone by now but Sakura insisted I go.
“Sasuke, just think about it. Please, I know the odds of there being something left behind after all this time is slim but there must be something. Talk to the people in the village and see if they saw anything suspicious. We need to know what they were after.” Sakura told me the night before we were to set out for the mission
“Naruto can send someone else with Kakashi. I don’t see why my presence would matter.” I replied, getting a little frustrated by her insistence. Did she not want me here?
“It matters to me Sasuke, these were my parents. This means a lot to me. Besides, you won’t be gone long and you’re the only one I trust with this.” she pleaded.
Knowing I can rarely ever say no to her especially when she says she trusts me with this I just heave a heavy sigh and go to grab my traveling gear. I always have one ready in case I need to leave at a moment's notice so it doesn't take me long to get ready.
“A week, two at most,” I tell her pointedly.
When she realizes I’ve agreed her eyes shine for the first time in a while and at that moment I know I made the right decision.
“Let’s just get this over with. We are already behind schedule.” I told him as I make my way for the run-down medical building. ‘This village has seen better days.’  Why were they here in the first place?
“Kakashi,” I call out to my partner.
“Hm?” He responds with a solemn expression as he takes in the village.
“Sakura and Tsunade were able to create an antidote for the poison right?” I ask. I should’ve thought about this sooner but it didn't occur to me that we might find ourselves up against the killers themselves and I wasn’t planning on dying in a shithole like this.
“Yea. Here.” He told me as he hands me a viral filled with a murky green liquid. “It has to be administered within 60 seconds of contact so keep it with you.”
I nodded as I took it and placed it in the lining of my cloak.
“How well did you know Sakura’s parents?” I ask him as we walk into the clinic where the bodies were first brought.
“You’re asking me how well I knew your in-laws?” He asked me with an emphasis on your.
I sighed.
“I never had much contact with either of them before or after I left the village when Sarada was young. They never cared to hide their dislike for me and I knew it caused Sakura some stress, so I just never bothered.” I told him. I can’t say I regret my decision because I knew it was for the best and it’s not like I would have had much to say to them anyways. They were cordial enough for the girl’s sake but that was about it.
“Well, I honestly don't know much about them beyond what was common knowledge. Kizashi attended the academy but only achieved genin before he left to resume civilian life and that's about it. Up until Sakura was born neither of them really had a presence in the village.” He sighed. “That’s about all I know.”
I gave him a look.
“Listen Sasuke I might have been the Hokage but even then there was really nothing else to find. There was nothing special about the Harunos except for who their daughter was.”
“I’m sorry for eavesdropping but did you just say you knew the Harunos?” An elderly woman asked us as we approached what looked like the nurse’s station.
“Yes.” Kakashi answered with a confused expression.
“Oh, so you must be the two shinobi from their village. We were told to expect someone when their bodies were picked up.” She said smiling as she held out her hands.
“I’m Dr. Wakabi, I’m the one who performed the original autopsy,” she added.
“Oh well hello.” Kakashi greeted as he shook her hand with that masked smile of his. “My name is Kakashi. I am a close family friend of the late Harunos and this here is their son-in-law.” He added as he glanced over to me.
“Hello,” I said with a nod,
“I’m so sorry for your loss.” She said quietly.
“If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.” She said as she turned back to her work.
“Actually there is something you could do for us,” Kakashi told her as he tried to keep her attention.
“Hm?” She questioned as she looked up.
“We were wondering if you could lead us to the spot their bodies were found.” He asked.
“Uh… are you guys really expecting to find anything?” She asked a little perplexed.
‘Odd’ I thought.
“Well we can’t afford to leave anything out,” Kakashi said chuckling. I knew he was put off by her hesitation.
“R-Right of course.” she stuttered.  “If you go down the road that leads out of the village and hang a right there is a clearing and that's where their bodies were found. It’s hard to miss.” She smiled.
After getting the directions we gave her our thanks and promised to return if we needed any more assistance.
Third-person POV
“Are you sure they don’t suspect anything?” A voice called out in the darkened room.
When the man received word that there were two shinobis from one of the hidden villages asking questions he grew increasingly worried that the deaths of those traitors would be traced back to him. It wouldn't do them any good if people found out who those two really were and came for retaliation.
“No sir, they only wanted to know where their bodies were found that's all.” His second in command assured him.
“I want you to have them followed.” He told her. He couldn't let these two shinobis delve any deeper than he wanted regardless of who they were or where they came from.
“Hai.”
Sasuke’s POV
After surveying the area their bodies were found and coming up empty we decided to head back to the clinic to talk to the doctor we met with earlier. She seemed to be hiding something and I want to know what it was. Besides having the initial report might be the missing piece to finding out what happened.
“Hello again,” Kakashi said cheerfully as he approached the woman for a second time.
“Hello.” She greeted. Her tone a little wary.
“Did you find anything of use?” She asked.
“Nothing, unfortunately. We were actually wondering if you could provide us with the original M.E report.”
“I-” she started but stopped as she looked behind her as if there was someone there. “I don't see why not.”
“It would be a great help to our team back home,” Kakashi added.
“Of course, let me just go grab it from my office.” the woman said as she left.
“Kakashi.” I started.
“I know.” He replied. Ever since we left the hospital earlier on we felt as if we were being watched and after her reluctance to hand over the files and her dodgy behavior we couldn't help but assume the two instances were connected.
Something is going on in this village and I’m not liking it.
After a few minutes, the Doctor came back with a stack of papers.
“H-Here.” She said as she handed them over to Kakashi. But before he could take them she pulled him closer and whispered something to him that I couldn’t quite hear.
“Of course.” He nodded as he turned to me and handed me the file.
“We should go.” He said as he waved goodbye and lead the way out of the building.
“Something you care to share Kakashi?” I asked him.
“Nope,” Kakashi said as his eyes scanned the shadows of the buildings.
.
.
.
It’s been a few hours since we left the dilapidated village behind and so far so good but we haven't let our guard down since we realized we were being followed.
“What do you make of this?” Kakashi asked me once we were sitting down by our makeshift shelter.
“There is something off about all this. First the doctor’s suspicious behavior and then the hired shadows.” I told him as I poked the fire.
“She advised us not to stay in the inn in town so my guess is whatever is happening here she is involved albeit involuntarily.” He added. Once we got far enough away from the village Kakashi filled me in on what the woman said.
‘It’s not safe here. There are dangerous people intent on getting you to leave. Heed my warnings and go. There’s nothing for you here.’
It’s obvious the people here are not very strong shinobis considering they failed to keep themselves hidden as they shadowed us and why would they involve an incompetent and nervous doctor to provide an incomplete autopsy. Unless…
“Kakashi. I have an idea.” I told the man beside me with a smirk.

Kakashi with a student who has read the Icha Icha series 🔥
So when I received this request by anon (tysm for it!), I knew I was gonna have a lot of fun writing it!
It’s not a secret that Kakashi loves the Icha Icha series but he always acts as if it was. But what if he had a student who has already read the series?
Let’s see what happens!
Fandom: Naruto | Kakashi Hatake
Symbols: ◻ | 💗 | 💜 | 💛 | ▶
Tumblr media
When you first met Kakashi, your new sensei, you’d never expect to find out something like that
But here it is: one day, you were walking around the village minding your own business and suddenly you saw him at a distance
He was holding something, looking at it so concentrated that he would be scared if you came unannounced
You waited until he passed by a spot near you (you were hiding), and then the shock
It was a book – but not just any book: it was one of the volumes of the Icha Icha series
You’ve read those books long ago and honestly you found them… average. Of course none of your acquaintances knew you had something to do with those books, but you have found ~worse stuff in your life, so they were nothing
You decided to go and talk to Kakashi about them, just to see his reaction
“Hey, Kakashi-sensei, what do you have there?”
Once he heard your voice, the book disappeared of his hands so fast you thought he prepared a jutsu for an occasion like that
You came closer and noticed he was sweating (he must have had his face soaked behind that mask)
“H-hi… y/n-san. What are you doing here?”
You shrugged
“Nothing. Just walking. But tell me what do you have there with you. Is it a book or something…?”
He was so nervous you thought he was going to pass out
It was when you spat the truth
“It’s okay, sensei. I’ve already read it. All of them”
“What?”
“I said I’ve read them”
“Read what?”
You raised an eyebrow
“You know. The series of this book you were reading”
“Ah…”
You laughed. You couldn’t believe a grown man like him would be so embarrassed about some books
“And if you want my honest opinion, I’ve read better things in my life”
Kakashi didn’t reply. He just made a hmmm
He was still not sure if he could talk about this to a student
You questioned him which volume he was reading rn
Still hesitating, he answered
You made a casual comment about the content
“Hm… This one is good, I have to admit. It’s better than the previous one. But I cannot say the same about the next. Have you read them, sensei?”
Kakashi shook his head in a no sign
You smiled at his reaction: he was kinda cute when he was embarrassed
You tought you might wanted to see this again
So you started having ideas
From now on you were going to use his not-so-secret secret as a way to bargain
He didn’t want to teach you that cool jutsu? Well, maybe other people might like to know details about his literary tastes
He was being to hard on you for minor things? He should be careful on what he says to someone who knows certain things about him
Things were like this for some days and everything was fine for you… Until Kakashi met your family
Now there was no more bargains, at least for you
And unfortunately for you, you’re now going to meet your teacher’s darkest side
Because if you think you knew something about blackmail and these kinds of things, he came to show you you knew nothing
“So, you don’t think you need to train harder? Maybe your family will like to know you prefer to train your skills on another field…”
“Complaining again? You will not be the only one complaining if your acquaintances suddenly find out about that thing”
“Everyone has secrets, but some of us are better in keeping them than others… right, y/n-san?”
You finally understand that Kakashi wasn’t fear by crowds with no reason
Man can be really scary when he wants to
Now you regret every small threat you made to him
But you’re too proud to apologize
So you decide it’s time to offer him a deal
You will do your best as his student and never use his hobby against him again, and he will be a better teacher and leave you alone as well
“And how can I be sure you will do your part in the deal?”
You laughed
“I have a reputation to maintain”
He smiled
“Well, I have mine too, though you might disagree”
Then he disappeared… And showed up right behind you, his right hand sparkling with his Chidori. You held your breath as he whispered in your ear
“So I hope you keep on the same page”
You did your best to guarantee you will, and as a proof of your honesty you offered to tell him the series finale 😂😰

chapter six
< previous: chapter five
Tumblr media
"Hey, uh...can I have the rest of it?" Naruto asked holding his chopsticks and looking at Y/N with hopeful eyes.
She was hoping to save some for dinner, but she didn't expect Naruto's appetite to be so large. But, his pleading eyes looked almost a bit funny and she decided to let him have his full.
To be clear about this situation, Y/N went home together with Naruto the day before and came to know the reason as to why he was running to the bathroom so much. It was either because he was lactose intolerant, which he was not. Or because he ate expired food. To be precise, it's because of the latter. After talking for a while, Y/N decided to let him have breakfast and dinner at her apartment from this day.
Well, she underestimated his appetite. Although it seemed to be a little more hectic than usual for her, it was better than to have food alone all the time.
She felt...lonely. Naruto's loud mouth made her forget about it most of the time. So she had zero complaints.
Y/N didn't even expect him to be on time, but he arrived earlier. It would be because they were going to meet their team leader today. Both of them were excited.
After they finished their meal and arrived in the classroom, they realized that the teams need to wait until their new teachers arrived to take them. Naruto was losing his patience little by little until he finally peeked out of the classroom in the hope of getting even a small glimpse of their leader.
"Naruto, sit down!" Sakura said.
"I don't want to. How come our teacher's the only one that's late? I'm ready to roll, believe it!" Naruto answered, "The other groups already met their new teacher and took off to some adventure or something and Iruka sensei's gone too!"
"He's got a point you know," Y/N sighed, and looked at the door hoping their teacher to arrive quickly.
Sakura agreed and then looked up hearing some noise, realizing what her blond teammate was up to. He fixed the duster in the middle of the door - anyone entering would lead to it falling on their head. Naruto grinned, "That's what he gets for coming late! Surprise~"
"Naruto," Sakura said holding her hips, "You know you shouldn't do that."
"Hn," Sasuke said, closing his eyes, "Our teacher's a jounin. An elite ninja. You think he'd fall for that?"
"Well, he shouldn't or it would be embarrassing," Y/N said crinkling her nose.
As soon as the words escaped her mouth, the door opened and the duster fell on his head. Their new teacher was a spiky silver-haired man with dark grey eyes and a lazy expression.
"I got him! He totally fell for it!" Naruto laughed.
Oh, well. That's another punishment for him. Or that's what Y/N thought. The man said something else though. "Hm, how can I put this," he said closing his eyes with a thoughtful expression, "My first impression of this group - you're a bunch of idiots."
They went on the rooftop of their school building where the new teacher sat on the railings and the students on the stairs. "Alright, why don't you introduce yourselves one at a time?" he said.
"Introduce ourselves?" Sakura asked, "Well, what are we supposed to say?"
"Things you like, dreams for the future, hobbies, and other things like that," he explained.
"Why don't you go first? I mean, tell us about yourself so we know how it's supposed to work?" Naruto said.
"Me?" the man pointed at himself and started talking, "I'm Kakashi Hatake. Things I like and things I hate - I don't feel like telling you that. My dreams for the future, never really thought about it. As for my hobbies, I have lots of hobbies."
"Well, that was totally useless. All he told us was his name," Sakura muttered frowning, looking at Naruto.
"He doesn't even want us to know about him. Alright, then he won't mind if I follow his example..." Y/N replied.
"Alright, you on the right. You first," Kakashi said.
Naruto fixed his headband and said, "I'm Naruto Uzumaki. I like instant ramen in a cup and I really like the ramen Iruka sensei got me at the Ichiraku noodle shop. But I hate the three minutes you have to wait after pouring hot water in the ramen cup. My hobby is eating different kinds of ramen and comparing them. And my future dream is to be the greatest hokage! Then the whole village will stop disrespecting me and start treating me like I'm somebody - somebody important!"
"Alright," Kakashi said looking at Sakura, "Next."
"I'm Sakura Haruno. What I like...I mean the person I like...my hobby is...my dream for the future is.." she squealed like a fan looking at Sasuke, as expected, "and I hate Naruto." Naruto grimaced hearing her, but well, as Naruto should be, he quickly forgot about it.
"Alright, you in the middle?" Kakashi asked.
"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things. And I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream because I will make it a reality. I will restore my clan and destroy a certain someone."
Followed by his little introduction, a deafening silence took place. Y/N looked forward at the teacher with a mind full of thoughts. One thing she can understand about him was the intense hatred for the one who separates you from your family. He had it worse when his whole clan is wiped off.
"And the last one?" Kakashi asked looking at Y/N.
Feeling a bit self-conscious, Y/N said, "I'm Y/N Y/L/N. I like...a lot of things. I hate...a certain someone. My hobby includes reading...anything that interests me. And my dream for the future...well, it was to be like my father. For now, I want to be...strong and independent."
Y/N sat in the silence uncomfortably. She knew how the rest of the team might be looking at her - with pity. She didn't care in the least. Her dream, for now, was to find her parents, but it felt a little too personal. She wasn't yet ready to talk about it.
"Good, you're each unique and you have your own ideas," Kakashi said, "We'll have our first mission tomorrow."
Naruto exclaimed in excitement and began asking about it when Kakashi answered, "It's a task that the four of us will do together - a survival exercise."
"I thought we were supposed to have a real mission. Not more practice," Sakura said, "We already did this in the academy. That's why we are here?"
Y/N didn't have many complaints though. Well, she did join the academy much later than the others. She was in fact, excited to know about the nature of the survival test. Kakashi began giggling in joy.
"Hey, that's a normal question. What's so funny?" Sakura asked.
"Well, if I tell you the answer, you're not going to like it," Kakashi explained, "Of the 28 graduates who just came here, only 9 will be accepted as a genin. The other 19 will be weeded out and sent back to the academy. In other words, it is a make it or break it, pass-fail test and the chance that you'll fail is at least 66 percent."
"What? That's crazy! We worked hard to get here! What was that graduation test for anyway?" Naruto asked, annoyance laced in his voice.
"Oh, that was to select candidates who might become a genin, or not," Kakashi said, "That's how it is. I decide whether you pass or fail. Be at the designated training spot at 5 AM and bring your ninja gear."
Y/N stared at Kakashi in a confused state when he spoke again.
"That's it. You're dismissed," he said, "Oh, and tomorrow skip breakfast or you'll puke."
Tumblr media
Turns out all of them failed the test. Kakashi tied Naruto up on a tree post and explained to everyone about the main reason for the test. It was teamwork. Although they were pitted against one another with just 3 three bells, it should've been in their heads about why a team was chosen in the first place after becoming genin. If genins could've advanced alone, there wouldn't be a necessity of making teams.
Kakashi was straight about all the flaws that each of the team members had. Naruto always worked alone, Sakura only helped Sasuke when Naruto was helpless in front of her, Sasuke was too arrogant to work with anyone and Y/N...well she felt ashamed when she was called out for it. She made Sakura the bait when she was aware of Kakashi coming after her. She waited for her chance to attack him when he'll be busy attacking Sakura.
Yes, it was awful. Probably the worst out of all of them.
They sat silently with the three lunchboxes while Naruto was tied up.
A second chance was given to them. Kakashi told them to eat and replenish their energy. However, since Naruto broke the rules and tried to eat before the test was complete, he has to watch. Furthermore, if either of them tried to feel Naruto, they will immediately fail.
Y/N lost count on the number of times she heard his stomach grumble. The one thing she was absolutely sure of was how much Naruto loved food. It was already a struggle to watch him tied up. Sighing, she got up and stood in front of Naruto. "Open up," she said, "it's not like I'm gonna stay in this village much longer anyway."
"W-What are you saying!" Naruto shouted, "Where will you even go?! Your home is here!"
"She's right," Sasuke said, moving his tiffin box towards Naruto, "Kakashi's gone. We need to get those bells as a team. If Naruto's hungry, he'll be weak and ineffective. That hurts the team and jeopardizes the mission."
"Alright," Sakura said moving her tiffin forward, "I'll give half of mine."
"Uh, guys I can't eat when I'm tied up," Naruto said, he smiled slyly at Sakura, "Why don't you feed me?"
"Y/N can do it," Sakura grumbled and cringed visibly.
"Shut up and open your mouth or you aren't getting any," Y/N said furrowing her brows. It was annoying how they were quarreling when they didn't have much time in their hands.
As soon as Y/N fed him a bit of rice with her chopsticks, the wind started blowing profusely around them. Opening their eyes, they saw the face they hoped to arrive a bit of time later - and he looked mad. "You broke the rules. I hope you're ready for your punishment," Kakashi said and made some hand signs, immediately clouds started hovering in the sky, "Any last words?"
Y/N barely had any different reaction. Sure, she was trembling from the inside but oh, she was thinking. There was no possibility he would do this, right?
Naruto shouted, "You said that there were four of us! That's why-"
"We are all on the squad and we are all in it together," Sasuke said.
"Yeah we gave him the lunch because the four of us are one," Sakura said.
Y/N silently cut off the ropes with her kunai with her hands on her back, while standing in front of naruto. Kakashi noticed it and asked, "The four of you are one, that's your excuse?"
Y/N's brows turned down, a visible discomfort on her face when the skies cleared up and Kakashi said with a smile, "You pass."
"Huh?"
"You pass," Kakashi said in a clear voice.
"What do you mean?" Sakura asked, "How did we pass?"
"You're the first squad that ever succeeded. The others did exactly what I said, and fell into every trap. They couldn't think for themselves. A ninja should see through the deception. In the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum - that's true. But those who abandon their friends, are worse than scum." Kakashi explained, "The exercise is over. Everyone passes. Squad 7 starts its mission tomorrow."
Y/N dropped to her knees in relief. Later, when they started walking home, Y/N faltered back beside Kakashi and said, "That whole I-am-about-to-kill-you part was a bit...unconvincing."
"Hm? You were shivering in fear," Kakashi said, "I think it's pretty convincing."
"Well, I was in front of a jounin so...a child like me should be scared."
"What gave it away?"
"Well, you can't exactly kill us and then expect the village to be okay with it. For one, the hokage will have to give an answer to the parents and the public about the reason for death. And if it was a norm of what happened to genins there should only be a handful of parents who allow kids to become ninja. That's not the case here. And in case you did kill us, you have to face the consequences. If you were a rogue ninja, the higher-ups should've noticed it by now knowing the amount of time it took to complete the test. So..."
Kakashi halted by his steps and looked at the girl grinning at him.
"Am I right, sensei?" she asked.

Uchiha’s Law (obikaka one shot)
(I am not a native English speaker, so forgive me for any mistakes)
I hope you enjoy it
----------
Madara has those distant, aged eyes, always too serious. Sitting on his throne, he looked more like a scary statue than a person. He spoke strange things about how terrible this reality was, about how the world was corrupted. Nothing that came out of his mouth made much sense. However, Obito listened to everything—it was impolite to ignore elders.
“So, are you and this kid, cousins? I mean, the boy you gave your sharingan to.” Madara didn’t ask many questions about Obito’s life, so the young ninja’s attention was immediately attracted when the old man spoke.
A little suspicious, Obito replied, frowning. “No.”
“Half-brother? Stepbrother?“
“Neither.”
“Was he adopted by an Uchiha family?” What did it matter if Kakashi was related to the Uchiha clan? Obito didn’t care about it when he gave him his eye. So why was Madara so interested in his teammate?
With a pout, Obito croaked, “He’s not Uchiha at all, if that’s what you want to know. He’s my teammate and my friend.” And the faster Obito recovered, the faster he’d return to Kakashi. To Rin. To grandma, Minato-sensei and Kushina-san.
“Oh.”
“Oh?”
“I see.”
This geezer is codding with me! He even seemed to enjoy the situation… Hm, as if this old mummy could enjoy anything. “You see?” Obito grunted, wanting to know immediately what was it all about.
“And did you give him your sharingan?”
“Yes, I already said that.” The young Uchiha snorted and rolled his eye.
“Spontaneously?”
“Of course!” Obito was absolutely sure that he had previously explained the entire story to Madara. The man was just asking questions he already knew! What’s the point?
“Are you sure?”
“How could I not be sure about it?”
“He could have coerced you into this.” Coerced? What a horrible thing! Obito hadn’t met many easily manipulated Uchiha, most of them were a bunch of cockish clods, and yet he wasn’t much like them, Obito still has his pride. He wasn’t coerced to handing over his sharingan! “I fear that under a rock it isn’t very simple to have cohesive thoughts.”
“I haven’t been coerced, I knew exactly what I was doing. I trust Kakashi.” Obito declared with certainty, dissatisfied to feel that there was something that Madara’s hiding. As if he knew anything about Kakashi.
“Hm ...”
“Hm? What are you implying?” He accused.
“You know little about Uchiha’s laws.”
“Uchiha’s la- It doesn’t exist!”
“Let me reformulate. You know nothing about your own clan’s laws. Depressing.” You are the depressing thing here, you decrepit geezer!
Silence took over. The two Uchiha faced each other for a long minute—which seemed to last an eternity. “Look, if you’re trying to tell me something, be blunt, gramps.” Obito grunted.
“I don’t think you want to know.”
Obito was about to hit his head against a wall until it exploded. “So what’s the fucking point of this conversation?”
“I thought you knew what you were doing when you gave your sharingan to this other kid, that’s the point. You’re more naïve than I thought.”
More silence.
Oh, no! In the name of Rikudo! What did he do? Obito needed to get back to Konoha immediately, before the worst happens. For the Sage’s sake! What if it had already happened? Obito despaired, “Aren’t they going to kill Kakashi, are they?” Concern affected his voice, and he could only think he had condemned his friend to a horrible fate.
The clan will charge him as kekkei genkai’s thief. Poor Bakakashi! And it was all Obito’s fault. Nooo! Rin would never forgive him. Obito would never forgive himself! He needed to come back; he needed to make sure that Kakashi was okay! He needed to-
“No, no. Quite the opposite. Congratulations.” Madara’s deep voice cut through Obito’s thoughts, and a question formed again over the younger’s head.
“Congratulations? What do you mean with congratulations?” The old man was stuttering. He was delirious, and Obito was encouraging him. Great.
“Well, according to the Uchiha clan’s law, when you spontaneously offered your sharingan to this friend of yours, who’s not part of your kin, you married him.”
“Oh, and I thought it was a serious thing- wait, WHAT?”
----
*Years later, during the Fourth Ninja War*
Madara: With the authority that has been granted to me by the Uchiha's laws, it is my great honor and proud privilege to pronounce that you are now married! You may now, finally, kiss the bride, Obito.
Kakashi:... what?

Arranged Love | Pt 2
Tumblr media
Thank you to Mrs. Hatake for requesting this prompt to me!
In which: f!reader is interested in being in a fwb like relationship, but is forced into an arranged marriage with the one and only, Hatake Kakashi. Both (y/n) and Kakashi only agree to marry for the sake of convivence. (y/n) with her needs, and Kakashi with his wish to revive his clan.
Tumblr media
My first date, eh?
This ought to go terribly-
What did I do to deserve this?
I must be in hell because it'll feel like repenting for my sins.
Tumblr media
You anxiously paced your room as your best friends, Yuhi Kurenai and Mitarashi Anko sat at the foot of your bed. "Why'd ya call us so urgently, (y/n)?" Kurenai asked, playing with a lock of her beautiful black hair.
You let out an exasperated sigh as you flopped face-first into your plush mattress, "Date..." was all you could muster up.
"YOU'RE GOIN' ON A DATE!" Anko cheered quite loudly, "Etto, sorry..." She realized her volume, "What I meant was, congrats!"
"Honestly, it's not something to congratulate me on..." Your face fell, "It's not my choice..."
Kurenai cupped your face, "Arranged?" She asked, to which you nodded, "Who'd your parents choose?"
"That silver-haired prick, Hatake." You grumbled, tightly hugging your lavender body-sized pillow. Reluctantly, you gave in to the girl's request for more information.
"Listen, (y/n)," Kurenai tried to reassure you with her calming words, "He's not as bad he used to be. Kakashi's became quite relaxed nowadays." To which, Anko nodded in agreement.
"Sure," You shrugged, "But I think he still hates me..."
Anko poked your cheek, "Just give him a good impression tonight. Things might change, ya know."
"I highly doubt that," You muttered, "Plus, I'm terrible at all things guy-related!"
"We'll help you get ready, just trust us on this," Kurenai told you, her tone telling you that she was serious. Even as a 25-year-old, your friends had a tendency to baby you. Sure, they were older than you, but it tended to be quite troublesome.
"Alright..."
Tumblr media
Ding dong, the doorbell to your apartment chimed. At least he's only 25 minutes late... Your inner self grumbled as you went to greet Kakashi at the door. "Kon'nichiwa," You nodded at him with minimal enthusiasm.
"Kon'nichiwa, (l/n)," Kakashi replied in an equally unhappy tone. His eyes flitted up and down your form as the two of you walked out into town.
"What is it, Hatake?" You demanded, arching your eyebrow, "My eyes are up here." For once, you were unhappy with the fact that you were, let's just say, well endowed.
Kakashi shook his head, "Nothing, nothing at all, (l/n)." Incoherently, you muttered all sorts of colorful insults under your breath. So much trying to be in a good mood...
"So, where are we going?" You attempted to lighten up the rocky mood. "Try to start a casual conversation. That not too easy to mess up," Kurenai had told you.
"My house." Kakashi didn't even spare you even the quickest glance. What's up with him! I tried to be friendly. Stuck-up idiot! "We're just having dinner, alright. No more questions." With a soft sigh, you nodded, walking the rest of the way in silence. "Here," Kakashi took your fall jacket, shoving it into the coat closet along with his own. "I'll go warm up the food. You can just have a seat over there." He pointed at a little dining table near a window, "The restroom is over there, in case you need to wash up."
Tumblr media
"Itadakimasu," both of you whispered to yourselves, digging into your aromatic dinner of (f/f). The two of you ate the meal in almost complete silence, not sparing the other a glance. To you, the food was simply too good to divert your attention from. You made a mental note to ask Kakashi where he had gotten it from.
Halfway through the meal, Kakashi sighed, placing down his chopsticks, "Why are you here?" He asked, but then rephrased, "As in, what about us are you in for?"
You put down your chopsticks, "I'm not here bec-" You looked up, but were caught off guard by a little something. His face...your mind said in awe at the beauty. Your gaze studied his unmasked face, yet still unable to see his legendary Sharingan eye, which was covered by his hitai-ate. Kakashi's elegant nose, the scar that ran across his left eye, his sharp jawline, and then to the beauty mark that graced a spot close to his ever so slightly chapped lips.
"What? My face?" Kakashi chuckled, "We're going to get married, you better eat used to it." He looked at you happily for just a split-second. Yet the very next moment, he reverted to his original stoic state, "As I was saying, what in this for you?"
You had to take a moment to recover from seeing Kakashi's face, "I-I u-uh..!" You mentally scolded yourself, telling yourself to get your act together. "I'm not here because I want to. It's all arranged by my parents. Hell, I didn't know that you were coming until I came home myself. This is all against my will."
"Hm," Kakashi studied your expression, "That's not exactly how your parents described your situation, but alright."
"What did they tell you?" You asked, your tone drier than the sands of Sunakagure no Sato.
A smirk formed on Kakashi's features, "They said that your love life is quite non-existent. Also, they just wanted to help give you a nudge in that department."
Your eyes widened as a flush adorned your cheeks, either caused by the sake you drank, or out of embarrassment. "N-no! It's not like that! I-it's just not the right time for me. I love my job, and I don't want to settle down just yet. Plus, I haven't found my Mr. Right just yet!" You tried to reason with Kakashi, who was flashing you an amused look. He was probably thriving off of how uncomfortable you felt.
"Actually..." He scratched his cheek, "That makes some sense..."
"So you’re backing out?!" Your eyes glittered with hope.
"Nope," Kakashi shook his head much to your dismay, "Trust me, I like this just as much as you do."
"Then why are we trying to make things work?! Neither of us likes this case, so why give it a chance?" You demanded in despair.
"You have a point," Kakashi pointed out, "But you see, it'll be beneficial for both sides if we work."
You pouted, "How so?"
"For you, your parents will stop nagging you." Kakashi stated, "And I'll get to revive my clan. And also, seeing that you and your parents are the last of your clan, you kekkei genkai May end up being a trademark for the Hatake's."
You rolled your eyes and mumbled, "So you just want to impregnate me, and relabel metal release as a Hatake thing?"
"You make it sound like I'm some kind of bad guy..." Kakashi raised his uncovered eyebrow.
"Well, you definitely aren't under a good light in my mind." You groaned angrily.
Kakashi face-palmed, "I was trying to be nice, and ask about how you were feeling about all of this."
"Well, I'm simply doing this for the sake of connivance." You finished, brushing a lock of your (h/c) hair out of your (e/c) eyes. In full honesty, you were somewhat surprised that Kakashi at least thought about how you felt about the predicament. It definitely wasn't something that you liked. But you had no way out...There goes my freedom...
"Your father told me to give you this..." Kakashi trailed off, sticking his hand into his pocket, fishing an object out of it. You sucked in your breath when you saw it...a ring. Your family's heirloom to be exact. It was beautiful, without a doubt. You had even adored polishing it as a young girl, dreaming about the day you would get to wear it. This was not how you imagined the day go. Tough luck. Life's a bitch, it ain't always cute, you told yourself.
"Well?" Kakashi looked at you expectantly.
With incredible amounts of regret and remorse, you gave him your right hand, "I hate you, Anata," you told him as he slid the beautiful rose gold ring up your ring finger. You had channeled as much sarcasm into the affectionate term, anata. You had spat it out like poison.
"And I loath you, Koishii." Kakashi told you, saying darling just the same way as you had called him dear.
There you were, engaged to your hater. The man who was to marry you for sheer convenience. No love, no respect. Nothing. It was arranged love.

@chidoricry whispered: “I should throw you in a river, Kakashi.”
Tumblr media
The Hatake can’t help a wilt of his shoulders. Yeesh, is Sasuke ever going to lighten up?
“As warm as it’s been the last few weeks, I’d rather do so of my own volition when I’m actually dressed for the occasion,” he replies, giving Sasuke a deadpan look. “I think my clothes would get a bit soggy otherwise, and they’ll take forever to dry, hm?”
Tumblr media
He sighs, clearly being dramatic. “Threatening your dear old sensei...and on his birthday, no less. Sometimes I think there’s no low you won’t sink to, Sasuke. Can’t just be like everyone else and wish me a nice day, can you?”

“A heart’s a heavy burden.” (From plot twist- Madara~)
[ Howl’s Moving Castle Sentence Starters ][ @historias-multorum ][ Accepting ]
Tumblr media
To say that the voice startles him is a bit of an understatement. The forest temple sees few travelers these days…be they human, or spirit. Most of the komainu’s days are spent sitting in the quiet, contemplating. Seems someone has noticed his heavy thoughts.
And given that the pedestal beside him is still empty…Kakashi has to remain on his guard.
Eyes lift to a man lounging in a tree above the road, posture lax. But there’s little hiding what he is from another spirit’s eyes.
A kitsune. And not just a kitsune, but one of nine tails. One of the most powerful yōkai the island nation knows.
Tumblr media
Staring up for a moment, Kakashi isn’t sure how to respond. Were his thoughts really so loud as to be guessed? His kind are meant to live in pairs - any shrine properly guarded houses two lion dogs. But for as long as he can remember…he’s been the only one. It’s always bothered him.
“…many things in life are both blessings and burdens,” is his careful remark, watching the fox warily. Surely if he meant harm, he wouldn’t be making small talk…but why else would he be here? A small shift in his posture rattles his armor. “To be without one is to be without the other. We take the good with the bad, do we not?”

Obito arrives in Kakashi's office with a box of six eggs, some brown, some white, and one being red brownish and bigger. It's from his chickens! "Here, a gift for you." There's a children drawing of a dog on the box, it's obviously from Reiji.

Currently drowning in paperwork (and, let’s face it…when is he not?), Kakashi looks up, mentally bracing himself when he sees his guest is Obito. But then he notices the package in his hand…? Maybe this will be a good break from his task…
“For me?” Accepting it, he flatly jokes, “Not a bomb, is it?” But then he notices the artwork along the top, and pauses. It would seem his little honorary nephew had a hand in this.

There’s a hint of a softening to him, a light chuckle given under his breath. “Well, would you look at that. That might have to go up on the wall.” Some would say the Hokage’s office is meant to be orderly and professional...but Kakashi is neither, so he’ll tack up whatever he damn well pleases. He then finds the eggs, and gives another laugh.
“Ah, yes...some of your illegal agricultural contraband. I’ll have to confiscate these right away.” And by that he means take them home and eat them. Because who is he to say no to fresh eggs, right?
“You’ll have to tell Reiji I said thanks, and that he better be taking good care of those illegal chickens.”

I have so many ideas for AUs I can post here
like now time to introduce Trash King Obito and his sex android Kakashi, aka. my attempt at a cyberpunk AU (non-con warning but not between obkk, Kakashi had a very rough life and yes its angsty)
Obito was a poor kid who didnt have much luck in life and had to often find scraps in garbage to eat, he got beaten up a few times and had fewer and fewer places he could go to
Eventually, he started going to the junkyard, where madara lived. Madara was an old grumpy guy who at first yelled at Obito, seeing some kid go through the trash but eventually let him stay. Obito started assisting Madara, sorting the garbage and finding some more precious parts that could be sold or used again
One day Obito got into an accident and lost an arm and an eye, he fell onto some sharp parts
But Madara knew more or less about implanting cybernetic parts and saved Obito by giving him an artificial arm, but didnt have any eyes so for a long time Obito just had one eye
Eventually Madara died and Obito stayed living alone on the junkyard, but he got into tinkering with putting the parts together, he'd always use the best parts to improve his arm and eventually found a purple eye to fill in
Madara had a crappy android put together from the scraps (yes zetsu hehe) and Obito often used Zetsu as his model to build better ones but it took him years t o get most necessary parts
He'd often fix smaller things and improved his little house uwu and sometimes people came to him and he'd help them out
(Okay enough backstory time for the obkk)
Obito would always salvage the best parts as soon as new trucks would unload more trash, and one day he found an android. It wasn't even powered off, just staring blankly at him and had a few missing or broken parts
But Obito was mesmerised how pretty it was made. He picked it up and normally would throw it onto the barrow with the rest of the parts but decided to carry it home instead
The android only sighed tiredly but didnt struggle
Obito murmured who would throw out a working android instead of fixing it and the android replied "They broke me on purpose. Got done with me."
"Hold on, I think I had the right parts, I'll fix you up"
"I have just one purpose, shouldn't you know if I'm worth fixing first?"
"You can introduce yourself as I fix you, then"
"I'm Kakashi. I guess last name won't matter anymore."
Kakashi watches Obito for a while and asks "What about you? You just have an artificial arm, the rest is human, right?"
"I'm Obito Uchiha. Hey, you were even given a last name? Based on the company that made you?"
Obito's surprised because he thinks Kakashi was a really well made android and he's even more baffled he was thrown out
"No, an actual last name. You won't find a company named Hatake making androids."
"So what's with your single purpose, then?"
"Sex."
Obito makes a startled noise and looks at Kakashi with wide eyes
"What"
"You heard me. I'm a sex android."
Obito continues fixing, now with a slight blush on his face and Kakashi chuckles
"Told you you should think whether I'm worth it"
"Hey, maybe I'm lonely. Girls don't like someone with the nickname King of Trash, you know? And I ain't putting my dick anywhere near Zetsu no matter how desperate I am"
"Zetsu?"
"An old crappy android."
"Well, Obito. Aren't you lucky then."
Though Kakashi has an disinterested tone all the time so he sounds sarcastic and Obito raises an eyebrow
They continue talking and Kakashi mentions his 'work' parts are surprisingly undamaged
"Guess even when they were throwing me out they still hesitated whether to fuck me one last time or not"
"How long did you even work for?"
"Hm... A year?"
"WhO THROWS A WORKING, HIGH QUALITY ANDROID AFTER A YEAR OUT"
"Chill, I told you they were the ones who broke me too"
"Yeah, why?!"
"I can tell you later. Now, you said you were lonely?"
Obito says he's fixed everything but he's not sure
and Kakashi grins "Well then time for a test run, right?"
They end up fucking hehe and Obito realises this feels so damn good
And despite the fact he's never really had a lot of sex before, fucking Kakashi feels... real
The way he moans and gasps and thrashes in bed, it's like he's a human, and after sex Obito keeps wondering who would put this much effort into a sex android
Most he's seen are just like living sex dolls, moaning and doing hardly any movement, maybe only shaking their ass and bouncing on your dick
Obito keeps Kakashi and Kakashi is so pretty that Obito even tells him not to help him at work too much, joking Kakashi might get hurt
They fuck every night and Obito finds Kakashi cute and pretty and before he realises it he enjoys Kakashi's presence a lot
One day Obito chuckles he could sell Kakashi for a few thousands since he's practically as good as new and he's so damn good but then sees Kakashi frown and his eyes look upset and Obito gets flustered and says it's just a joke
"No, it's fine... No offense taken. Androids are just... toys, I know"
Obito feels stupid for saying that and asks Kakashi finally
"I have to know... Why do you... Uh... Why are you so..."
"real?"
"Y-yeah"
"It's okay, I know. You have no idea how many times I was compared to other sex androids. How they showed off how much they can make me mewl from fingering alone when other androids would hardly react"
"I-I just can't understand why they'd throw you out if they've put so much effort into making you."
"They didn't really put much effort, you know?"
"But the coding-"
"What coding. There was no need for complicated coding. Just making sure I'd be horny all the time and wouldn't cry and say no."
"... what?"
"Well, you probably haven't come across something like me yet. To be honest, I didn't either until I got into trouble"
Kakashi sighs and tells Kakashi his story finally
"I feel real because I am real. I told you, I have a last name. Because I am Kakashi Hatake. If you look me up, you'll find some shit out probably. "
"Real. As in... You were- are a human? But-"
"I have an android body? I know, shocking. According to the official info, I even have a date of death. I couldn't pay off my dad's debts so some bad people with too much money on their hands decided to make me pay off in a different way"
"W-why make you an android"
"I told you. Humans can get broken too quickly, they cry and scream they don't want it, keep saying no and begging for mercy... And most importantly, they're not always in the mood"
Obito feels sick hearing it and starts apologising to Kakashi, that he shouldn't have just fucked him, he probably didn't want it, etc etc
But Kakashi smiles and cups Obito's cheeks "I told you to. You didn't tell me anything."
"But you just said, they forced you to always want-"
"I don't jump at people wanting to be fucked, Obito. Most of the time it's just a passive feeling that if someone grabbed and fucked me, I'd be okay with it"
"But when I tell someone I want it, I want it."
Obito looks confused and Kakashi giggles
"Obito, you're the first person to ever show concern for me"
"You didn't just think I'm a junk, you princess carried me to fix me"
"Well I... uh... You were still working and you were so..."
"Pretty, I know"
They end up kissing and hugging
And Kakashi whispers "So please, don't sell me. I want to be with you"
"I wouldn't dream of it. I want you too"
*
Some extras:
Kakashi can be powered off, he can have a few things programmed like how long he should be on standby, imitating sleep
They didnt power him off because they just saw kakashi as nothing more than trash. They used him for a year and got bored
Kakashi used to live in constant fear once his dad died and the debt collectors chased him. He couldnt get enough money to pay it off and they finally decided to make him their bitch
So Kakashi hasn't seen any kindness in years. Plus Obito looked hot. So for the first time Kakashi saw someone he wanted to have sex with
Normally he'd probably say thanks and offer to help at work but since he was made to be a sex android he couldnt think of other ways to show gratefulness

A present for making jonin
Kakashi x OC fanfiction snippet
Sayuri is a gutsy little girl.
Who is Sayuri Uchiha? The basics. [x]
Decided to publish some things from my 30k word Kakashi X OC fanfic I have written manically over the last few weeks. I hope you can bear with me, its not the greatest I just feel like sharing. (God I’m so fucking insecure ANYWAY)
It had been half an hour of waiting. Obito was late - again. Kakashi hated waiting for Obito. His teammate was always late to every meeting they had ever had together and no matter how many times he was reminded of punctuality he just couldn’t help but be too late. How annoying. Sometimes he picked Obito up himself. Making sure that he wasn’t late again. At least this way they had the opportunity to go onto missions as planned. Master Minato seemed as unbothered as always and Rin, well, Rin never was angry at anybody for anything. She was too kind to everybody. Come to think of it, he had never seen her angry. Her calm presence grounded their four person team. Obito and Kakshi were headstrong and constantly at each other's throat, but they still listened to her. It was a superpower.
“As if he could ever come in time”, he grinded his teeth in anger “Especially today it would have been nice.” Minato smiled at him knowingly. Yes, I should be patient with Obito, the boy thought. I should understand that he is someone who is late. It happens. Master Minato had said that so many times that he could lecture himself on it. But today he had been promoted to Jonin and as such he had expected Obito to come congratulate him. Just today Obito should have been on time to support him. But I guess it was his fault for believing in the Uchiha. What a clan that one was. Always secretive and closed off and worst of all late. Or maybe that was just Obito. Who knows. He was not interested in finding out.
As if she had heard someone thinking negatively not only about Obito, but also about the Uchiha clan in general, Sayuri pushed through a line of trees and walked towards them.
This girl again, Kakashi thought and he carefully watched her movements. In any moment she could jump on him again like last time. “Senpai”, she said, waving and running at the same time. Ew, she was mocking him again. Rin started giggling. Kakashi felt embarrassed. Why would this girl not just leave him be. He had a reputation to maintain. But obviously those Uchiha girls did not know how to accept rejection. They were surprisingly popular among the boys of other clans. It was the eyes that enamoured them. But he was different. He didn’t care for this sharingan. He was strong on his own and made the rank of jonin on his own. None of it was for him.
She stopped an arms range away from him, unmistakably to avoid being thrown by him like last time. She smiled at him. Her hair was once again braided to both sides of her head. Those Uchiha clan members sure had deep black hair. Kakashi had never seen it anywhere else. “I’ve heard you actually became Jonin”, she said. “Hm”, he replied to confirm it. He still had no idea how news traveled so fast to her. Probably Obito. Yes, that was stuff he had time for, but he was late to missions. “I thought I’d give you a present”, she said and her smile now changed into a devilish grin. She had a plan for something. That can’t be good, he thought. Surely she just meant to prank him somewhat. He searched her eyes for a hint, but they were too black and deep to figure out. Rin giggled again and that pulled him back to reality.
“You don’t need to give me anything”, he said dryly and he tried to turn away from her. Sayuri quickly leapt forward to grab his wrist with her left hand. Once again he noticed how forceful and strong she was even though she was slightly smaller than him. Master Kushina really did make monsters out of girls. Everybody in their age group said so. “Senpai...”, she said again and pulled him closer to her. “Drop the senpai”, he said. He hated that sort of thing. None of them were in the academy anymore. How useless to be formal in this sort of position. He tried to wriggle himself out of her grip which just led her to hold his wrist tighter.
Then many things happened at the same time. She quickly used her right hand to pull at his mask, which Kakashi was ready for. Instinctively he grabbed her hand and pulled her up, slightly lifting her off the ground. She moved her head forward and with his mask half down and - kissed him. On the lips. Then she let go of his hand and pulled the mask up onto his nose again. It all happened in a matter of seconds. “Congratulations again, senpai” she said, still being lifted up by his grip. This was not like him. He didn’t freeze in unknown situations. He was a Jonin now, a grownup, he knew how to handle things. A kiss. He had never done that before. He had never even thought about it before. He could feel his cheeks warm up, but it was not comparable to Sayuri. When he finally looked at her again he could see that the colour on her face could rival a ripe tomato.
“I think you can let her down now”, Minato said softly from behind them,” I don’t think you have to worry about another, eh, attack”. He laughed at this statement and Kakashi immediately let go of Sayuris arm. She dropped back onto her feet and they just looked at each other for a second. Black eyes to black eyes. He could see her knees shaking. Stupid, brave, little girl. Gutsy, he had to give her that. This must have cost her all the bravery she could muster. He felt a kind of admiration for her in that regard. “I think I’m…”, she began saying quietly, but was cut off by a male voice saying “Sayuri, what are you doing here”, followed by someone running right into them. Completely out of breath and sweating: Obito had finally made it.
She immediately turned on her heels and ran. She threw Obito a small “Nothing” and then she disappeared between the trees. Kakashi stared after her. All of this felt like it had happened to another version of him. Like a lighting clone. But Rin was still giggling so he knew that it had been real. “No lecture about me being late?”, Obito asked and looked from his teammates to his captain and back to Kakashi. “What's so funny?”, he smiled at Rin. “You missed quite a show”, she said, “Sayuri gave Kakashi a present for being Jonin, oh that reminds me! We all wanted to give you presents now.” Obito seemed confused at this, but before he could ask for further details Kakashi had already moved the conversation on. He didn’t want Obito to know. He really didn’t want this to make the rounds at all. He was a jonin now, he had other, more important things to worry about.
