❤️‍🔥You join the Special Fire Force Company 7 under Benimaru as the newest assigned member and to say that you're nervous is an understatement. After all the captain of this independent Special Fire Force is none other than Shinmon Benimaru who is a legend for every Pyrokinetic and a hero in Asakusa. You're absolutely frightened when you introduce yourself to all members, nervous and tense as four pairs of eyes are watching you. Hikage and Hinata are already bombarding you with questions as soon as you enter until Benimaru and Konro pull both of them back and allow you finally to introduce yourself. Benimaru briefly congratulates you for your new position and wishes you good luck before he minds his own business. Konro apologizes for his friend's aloof behavior as he gives you a small tour of the company with the twins trailing closely behind you. He assures you that their captain will just need a little bit of time to warm up to you.

❤️‍🔥You figure out that it is a bit of a challenge to get closer to Benimaru. The twins adore you already, in Konro you have found a good friend but somehow Benimaru seems still so tactiturn around you, so unreachable. You just feel so intimidated and your admiration for him makes you all the more awkward around him until you give up and decide to leave him be. From trying to gain his approval to fiercely avoiding to talk to him as much as you can, Benimaru notices your sudden shift in behavior and wonders what has happened. You're acting strange yet when he tries to ask you about it, you throw random excuses at him before dashing away from him. The captain questions Konro about it who just gives him a sigh, slightly exasperated but not surprised that Benimaru hasn't understood yet. He explains to him that his somewhat distant and quiet behavior around you has scared you and urges him to try to act nicer around you.

❤️‍🔥Benimaru is thinking hard about how to get you to be less scared around him because it never was his intention to make you feel like you're not liked by him. He just draws a blank when he tries to think about methods to do so. Apparently there was never any need for words anyways as you walk one early morning in on him braiding Hinata's and Hikage's hair. He stares at you and you stare at him. He tries to come up with something to say because giving you a silent treatment or dry "good morning" probably won't help your impression that he doesn't like you but before he can speak of anything, you start chuckling. You try to cover your giggles as you look at the Pyrokinetic everyone holds in such high regards braiding the hair of the two girls and it feels like a burden is pulled off of you. Meanwhile Benimaru just stares at you confused as he wonders what it is that made you laugh all of a sudden. He doesn't mind though, the sound of your laughter reverberating through the room causing his heart to flutter inside his chest.

❤️‍🔥After that day you feel less scared to approach him and talk to him and whilst he still doesn't fully understand what exactly he did to make you feel less nervous around him, he's ultimately just happy to have you feel that way. He now spends more time with you as he realizes that Konro was right and that he never really took his time to get to know you. You even get an apology from him as he admits that he was a bit wary of your sudden recruitment, especially since the Tokyo Empire was so pushy about you joining them that he accidentally took it out on you. You're flabbergasted when he bows down as you don't know what to do, only hastily forgiving him before begging him to not bow so deeply for you as it makes you feel uncomfortable. He's the captain after all.

❤️‍🔥From that moment on both of you get rapidly closer to each other. You gladly tag along when he offers you to show you around Asakusa and introduces you to some of the citizens he is especially close to. Everyone loves him and seems to respect him and you admire him even more whenever he accepts sweet food someone prepared for him out of gratefulness and even eats it despite not being a big fan of sweet stuff. You start feeling incredibly at home now that all members of the company have welcomed you. You work hard and do your best to fight for the city by extinguishing and purifying Infernals, although it took you some time to accept the fact that Benimaru destroys entire buildings as offerings for the tragedy of losing someone when they are infernalized. It's in your eyes a strange way to tackle the problem but you go along with it since no one seems to mind.

❤️‍🔥You wonder sometimes though why he has recently started staring at you whenever you are within his sight. It isn't uncommon that you turn around only to find his unique eyes already looking at you as if in a daze as he seems to snap out of his thoughts as soon as you question him about why exactly he is looking at you like this. He always answers you that he doesn't know himself, promises to not do it again only to find himself in the exact same situation soon again, his eyes automatically always following you. You also notice that he wants to spend a lot more time with you as he often asks you if you have time and want to join him when he goes out on walks and he even asks you one day if you'd be interested in helping him doing the twin's hair. His request is a bit strange but you still accept. Both girls only giggle as they glance at each other with knowing eyes as they observe Benimaru teaching you how to tie their hair or even braid it.

❤️‍🔥He doesn't know what is going on with him himself. He only knows that he seemingly can't stop watching you, that his heart is pounding whenever you stand close to him and that his skin is always pleasantly tingling when you accidentally brush against him and he feels the warmth of your own body for a split second against his own. He's a lot more careful with you all of a sudden and certainly a bit more protective as he suddenly starts worrying significantly more when you put an Infernal to rest even if he has no reason to do so. You always laugh his worries off when he approaches you every time afterwards and asks you if you're feeling fine as you feel his eyes scrutinizing you for any tiny injury.

❤️‍🔥You have a slight suspicion but you always dismiss it and tell yourself that you're merely imagining stuff. Why should Benimaru love you after all? Benimaru is even worse as he still hasn't figured out his own feelings despite the entire rest of the team desperately trying to help him realize what is going on. It isn't until a small accident happens where you nearly trip and fall flat on your face only for Benimaru to catch you in time that you realize that you might be right. His one arm is wrapped securely around your waist, holding you. But instead of letting you go, you realize that he's actually pressing you a tiny bit closer to his body and suddenly you feel his breath tickling the shell of your ear. Your heart starts pounding rapidly as you turn your head quickly around only to find his own close to yours, observing you with an almost dreamy tenderness in his eyes. Only when you stutter out that you wish to be unhanded does he snap out of it, although for a short moment he seems to hesitate to let you leave his arms.

❤️‍🔥He finally approaches Konro after that incident and whilst his friend would have liked to explain everything calmly to him, Hikage and Hinata lose their patience and almost yell at him that he's in love with you. Love. He's never considered love before. He never was really invested in finding love so he has no idea how to tackle this problem initially. A part of him is still wondering if he really is feeling love for you. That last bit of doubt is eradicated when he takes a stroll through his city, deep in thoughts about how he is feeling about you when he actually spots you among the crowd. His heart is picking up some speed in his chest as a sudden urge to see you overcomes him and his feet automatically move as he approaches you. He slows down though when he realizes that you're talking to someone else and realizes that both of you seem quite close, especially judging by the way your hand is delicately touching their biceps.

❤️‍🔥He doesn't know what comes over him in that moment. He just knows that he does not like this sudden strange weight that he feels in the pit of his stomach that makes him feel almost a bit queasy nor the sudden spark of anger he feels as he watches you with them. He feels the strong urge to interrupt this moment and acts on sheer impulse as he storms over to the two of you. Not only your companion is quite frightened, you are too when you see Benimaru almost stomping over to the two of you, his eyes ablaze with something. There are initially no words as he just stares at the two of you, especially your acquaintance and it feels like he's trying to set your arm on fire that is still touching them, this time to soothe them as you notice that they're quite scared by the captain's abrupt strange behavior. His hand suddenly wraps around your arm and forces you to let go, his eyebrows furrowed as he does so.

❤️‍🔥Suddenly he is the one who comes up with a ridiculous excuse as he starts dragging you away from the scene, somehow deeply bothered with the thought to let you stay any longer with your acquaintance. They try to weakly speak up that they actually had plans with you only to shut up when Benimaru gives them a quick glare before replying that you belong to his team and that you have more important stuff to do. You're speechless as he pulls you away from them as you try to process what just happened. When you arrive at the building of your company, you have regained some composure and start quickly scolding Benimaru for his inappropriate behavior. His back is facing you and you don't even know that he's listening or not as you angrily rant only to be interrupted when he suddenly mentions that he doesn't like you spending time with someone he doesn't know and that he wants to know with whom you're spending your time with the next time.

❤️‍🔥He figures out later that he probably was jealous as soon as he has cooled off a bit, although he's still mad at you for spending time with someone without telling him. He didn't know them after all. Why do you spend your time with people without him knowing about it? Isn't he your captain? Isn't he the one you admire so much? He indulges in such dark thoughts before he suddenly pauses and rewinds everything that just went through his head. Why is he thinking like this? He isn't bothered when Konro or the twins spend time with others. So why does it get under his skin when it's about you? He spends the rest of the day mostly in his room, his feelings suddenly troubling him. He wishes to be left alone even when Konro approaches him with a concerned expression, having heard everything from you.

❤️‍🔥He apologizes the next day to you after he has calmed down and you hesitantly accept although you're still unsure how to feel about his behavior yesterday. You soon realize that Benimaru has started avoiding you again but this time you're actually a bit glad about it. Perhaps both of you should just spend some time alone and think about stuff as you're sure Benimaru is avoiding you more precisely because of his weird outburst. You feel relieved that he takes some time to reflect on himself but you couldn't be more wrong. Sometimes you wonder if you're hallucinating when you're in public and your eyes briefly fly over the crowd only to catch sight of a familiar figure standing amongst them and glowing eyes following you only to disappear seconds after. Are you losing your mind? Benimaru surely wouldn't just follow you like this, right?

❤️‍🔥Wrong. You aren't imagining it. Benimaru has really been following you as good as he could, although reasonable enough to turn around as soon as you spot him amongst all the people. He doesn't know why he does this but he knows that he shouldn't just stalk you. Yet he can't help himself as his urge to know what you're doing at the moment is sometimes too strong to resist. He tries as good as he can to act as nonchalant as possible around you to not alert you even more as you have grown slightly more warily around him. He can't risk you straying away from him and making you lose your trust in him. Deep down he is yearning for the time where both of you were so close to each other and sometimes he feels a short flash of hot and bitter resentment to why you have to act so skittish around him now only to quickly snuff that feeling out. It's his fault after all.

❤️‍🔥When Konro one day asks him with a serious look on his face that he wants to talk with him, Benimaru already knows that he knows. the Vice-captain has always been so observant after all and has known Benimaru for so long. Instead of throwing accusations at him straight away, Konro gives Benimaru the chance to explain himself and what he talks about with his friend afterwards is something only Konro gets to know. He admits to all of his sudden darker thoughts and impulses he feels when he's around you and even when you aren't with him. How strong he yearns for your body pressed against his own and how he sometimes wishes so selfishly that he wants you to spend all your time with him instead of spending more time with citizens and even confesses how he has been following you around just to satisfy his need to know with whom you're spending your time with. He doesn't know why he does such terrible things either.

❤️‍🔥Konro tells him that it looks like Benimaru has started developing an obsession with you and even if this isn't what he wants to hear, Benimaru knows that his friend is right. He asks what he should do now but even Konro doesn't seem to know an instant solution to this problem as an obsession doesn't just disappear. The best advice he can give Benimaru is to try to control himself better and Benimaru makes him promise that he'll stop him if he should ever fall victim to his darker desires because he doesn't want to hurt you. Yet he also requests Konro to keep this discussion a secret from you because he is too ashamed to admit his obsession to you and also too scared that you might leave his division and his city. He wants you close to him, can't bear the thought of you being somewhere far away where he is unable to see you.

Hikage and Hinata are a duo so upredictable its entertaining. Those two love to pull pranks on the 8th whenever they visit or send Shinra and Authur to train with Benimaru. More often than not they try dragging you into their shenanigans, and more often than not you do go with them. I mean wheres the harm in doing so? There was one time where you three were going to put extra salt in the boys portions of food but Konro caught the three of you before you could. Hikage and Hina did not hesitate to throw you under the bus and make a break for it. Konro chuckles knowing it wasn't your idea previously hearing the twins talk about it earlier in the day and wanting to have you join. He lets you off the hook and just says don't let him hear the plans next time.

Speaking of Konro, he gives the best hugs. I stand by that and will die on that hill. It doesn't matter if you're having a bad day or not, if you need a hug, he's your guy. We love a big strong man with a heart of gold but looks like a gangster.

Obi is the best work out partner ever. He's always making sure you're not pushing yourself too hard and will treat you to ramen afterwards. But if he ever catches you slacking... Extra reps, no hesitation and no deals with him.

Vulcan loves horror movies and isn't really phased by them at all. He loves a good plot and will often invite the others to watch them with him. If he knows you enjoy watching them as well, he stops inviting you and expects you to be in his room with a bowl of popcorn and a few water bottles. If you don't enjoy them however, he will make exceptions for movie nights and lets you choose just to see you smile.

Viktor knows he has his moments where he geeks out more than usual but appreciates how you show genuine interest in his hobbies and work. He always calls you to watch and participate in his experiments, of course keeping you safe. "Y/n, Vulcan and I are going to test out this new experiment, wannna watch?" He loves watching your face light up in pure amusement the way a childs face would.

Its easy to win bets that involve alcohol when against Benimaru. His surprising light weighted nature fails him when you challenge him. He doesn't care though, he sees how happy you get when he accepts the callenge and fights a smile from appearing on his face. But all it takes is one more drink than Beni for you to get drunk, and then Konro is the one having to deal with your drunk shenanigans and putting you two to sleep.

Kids?: Most likely not. I personally wouldn’t trust Dazai with children, lol.

What Does the Future Hold?: Dazai’s dark past is a common topic of arguments between you two, but overall you are really close. Dazai loves you enough that he’s willing to look past the arguments and stays with you. It’s not often someone understands him as much as you do and still loves him afterward.
