Disclaimer: I don’t own the show Suits, or its characters, also not associated with it in any way, or know anyone involved with it.
A/N: My first Harvey fic in a while, I had the idea based on an episode (I don't remember exactly which) and tried to elucidate to it here. Anyways, I hope it doesn’t suck and feedback is appreciated as usual!

Another day in the office, another drama for Harvey Specter: this time it was his associate, Mike Ross, wanting to tell his girlfriend the whole truth about the terms of his employment and Harvey couldn’t let him do it, for obvious reasons. But, as you’d expect, namecallings happened and it all ended with Mike throwing in Harvey’s face his being an alleged workaholic in lack of a personal 一 and, in this case, love 一 life. Emphasis on alleged, cause what Mike didn’t know was that his boss actually did have someone to go home to…
It had been a long day but at least you got to go home to your excentric puddle of comfort of a boyfriend: New York City’s best closer, Harvey Specter. Once you got to your place, where the two of you lived together, you were welcomed with the smell and the view of a freshly cooked dinner that Harvey probably had someone making for the two of you.
As you started taking off your coat and shoes by the door, Harvey came out of your shared bedroom wearing nothing but sweatpants and looking like he’d just taken a shower. “Oh, hey, honey!” He greeted you with a smile on his face. “Sorry I didn’t wait for you to shower but I mingled too much with people of dubious hygiene today, so I kinda really needed to get clean.”
“Ah, that’s okay,” you said while pouting cutely at the same time. “At least dinner is ready, 'cause I am starving!”
“Ha! You say it like it’s cutting-edge news!” He tells you, as he puts on a shirt 一 much to your disappointment.
“What is that supposed to mean?!” You ask feigning offense while putting away your bag, shoes, and coat.
“It means that you’re always starving, sweetheart,” Harvey answers nonchalantly like it’s nothing.
“That is not true! Or at least it’s not entirely true: I’m always starving if it’s past mealtime and I haven’t eaten!”
“Sure, whatever you say, baby!” He says it already knowing that your hunger and all the pet names will only soften you.
“You know what? After today I don’t even have the energy to bicker with you…”
“That bad, huh?”
“The ED was a complete chaos today, apparently all hospitals were swamped, which is why they called more surgeons downstairs to help out. I’ve been on my feet the entire day! I’m basically dead.”
“Dramatic… But I’m sorry you had a shitty day, baby.” He said coming to hug you from behind in your bathroom. Looking at your reflex in the mirror 一 both of you, together like that 一 filled your heart with love and your mind with peace. Harvey was definitely your happy place.
Some time later, after you’d had your dinner, gotten ready for bed, and watched a sappy rom-com you chose, you and Harvey were already cuddling, almost asleep when you heard insistent knocking on the door.
“Stay here, honey, I’ll go see what that’s all about.” You sorta heard Harvey say to you as you lost your personal space heater.
Out in the living, Harvey opened the door only to find his associate Mike Ross standing there looking all tired and disheveled. Before his boss could even say anything, he went ahead entering the apartment mumbling about the case they were currently addressing in the office.
“Harvey, you’re not gonna believe what I found about our not-so-innocent school teacher!” He said to the older man with such energy that sounded like he had had a few too many energetics.
“What the hell, Mike?! Why are you showing up on my doorstep this late at night?”
“Because I knew you’d wanna see this as soon as possible, besides, it’s not like you’d have anything important going here, would you?” Mike asked sorta mocking Harvey.
Ignoring his employee’s last comment, he took the papers Mike was offering and said: “This better be good, Ross, otherwise you’re gonna meet a whole different side of me.
As Harvey started reading all the documents, Mike started having a look around, cause when would he have another chance at taking a peek at his boss’s house like that again? And he couldn’t believe what his eyes were seeing, he would definitely be making a few thousand jokes about it in the near future: there was a romance novel lying on the table, one of those with drawings on the cover that were becoming so popular then.
“Oh my God, Harvey, when were you gonna tell me about your love for reading?” He asked while pointing at the book with his head.
As Harvey’s eyes emerged from the papers in his hands with a confused look to them, Mike continued: “You know you could have told me, in fact after seeing the kinda genre you like I might actually ask for some recommendations, you know, to get my grandmother a few as presents.” The younger man said already starting to laugh loudly.
“That’s not mine…” Harvey began to answer with his mind still on the documents at hand.
“Oh no? You know there’s no need to lie to me, I promise I’ll try not to judge!”
“Funny. But that’s actually-”
“Mine!” You said as you came out of the bedroom wearing nothing but one of Harvey’s expensive dress shirts. “I don’t think we’ve met yet!” You exclaimed, already extending your hand to shake Mike’s. “I’m (y/n), Harvey’s girlfriend.”
“Girl- g- girlfriend?” Mike looked so shocked he almost choked on his laughter.
“Yes, but it’s doctor (y/l/n) for you.” He answered instinctively moving to your side. “What are you doing out of bed, sweetheart?”
“Sweetheart?” Mike murmured to himself in disbelief of the version of Harvey he was seeing, especially after their argument in the office and the things he’d said to Harvey.
“Well, I assumed it was something work-related when I noticed how long it was taking you to come back and came to drag you back to bed!” You announced to your boyfriend entangling your bodies with certain disregard for the other man standing there in shock.
Only then did Mike notice a framed picture on the sideboard behind him and it displayed both you and Harvey looking at each other with love in your eyes as he carried you bridal style into the water on a beach. Which was another surprise to the young attorney since he didn’t even know that Harvey was a fan of beaches.
“So you’re the famous Mike Ross, then?” You asked, catching his attention again. “You know, it’s very rare for someone to impress Mr. Specter here like you did!”
“Oh, honey, don’t do that, or he’ll spend an entire month finding new ways to subtly bring up in every conversation-”
“Oh, there won’t be anything subtle about it, Mr. Specter,” Mike said mockingly, finally coming out of the shock he had been on. “But I’m curious now, how long have you two been together?”
“About three years, isn’t it, babe?” You answered quickly not paying any mind to the mockery on Mike’s voice.
“Yeah, that’s right.”
“Wow, I never would’ve guessed it. Harvey never talks about you. Like ever.” Mike impolitely announced. “I mean, I didn’t even know he had a girlfriend and it’s been months since we started working together.”
“Well, that sounds about right since we don’t like to display our personal lives at work.” You said nonchalantly.
“But do Jessica and Donna know?”
“Of course they do. Must I remind you that you’re not a Donna or a Jessica, Mike?”
“Ouch. But do Lewis and Rachel know?”
“No, and no. And as interesting as your findings were, it’s time for you to leave. We’ll talk more about it tomorrow at the office.”
“But-”
“Mike. Now!”
“Oh, Harvey, don’t be like that.”
“He needs to go now and we need to go back to bed, so bye, Mike!” Harvey said while shoving Mike out the door.
And after he was gone, just like in the picture, Harvey picked you up from the floor and started carrying you back to the bedroom.
“Harvey!” You squealed out. But he didn’t mind it as he tossed you on the bed, got on top of you, and started kissing you. Apparently, Mike’s visit had put him in a good mood. And, apparently, it was going to be a long night.

Christmas War
Tumblr media
[Harvey Specter x Female!Reader]
Synopsis: In what started as a harmless joke, turned into a full obliteration. And it’s all thanks to Harvey.

Category: Mega Fluff
Since it’s now officially December, I thought I would start the holidays off right with a fluffy Harvey fic. Enjoy.
『••✎••』
Harvey was many things: A partner, a best friend, a family member...But none of those things mattered as much as you did at this moment. You practically glowed like an angel as you slept soundly in his bed, his white button-up shirt laying over your bare chest like a blanket, protecting you from the slight chill that lingered in the apartment.
He felt a little bad, just slightly, for what he was about to do, but the idea was too embedded in his mind now for him to stop. So, he slowly lifted a hand to your arm, gently shaking you awake.
"Mmmm..." you groaned quietly, the sound soft and angelic. It sent a wave of heat through him that he wasn't sure he could handle, but he was determined to see it through.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," He said a little louder, and you finally blinked your eyes open. They were a little cloudy as you looked around in a daze, your mouth slack as you yawned.
"Morning..." You mumbled, blinking as Harvey's shirt slid down your chest a bit more. It took you a moment to register Harvey hovering over you in the dimly lit room, but as soon as you did, you sat up and quickly pulled the shirt through your arms, wearing it like you were supposed to.
That’s when you noticed the small tray in his hands. He had a plate of eggs and toast, some coffee and orange juice, as well as a large bouquet of amaryllis.
"What’s all this?" You asked as you tried to compose yourself. Harvey sat down on the bed next to you, placing the tray between you.
"I made you breakfast." He said simply, smiling a little at you.
"Yeah... I can see that. But why?" You asked, looking between him and the tray. "It's not even 7 o'clock, and I'm sure you haven't even been awake that long..." You glanced at the coffee. "Or had enough coffee to be up before me."
Harvey chuckled and rubbed the back of his head.
"Well, I figured since you’re big on that Christmas stuff, you deserved to have breakfast in bed, with flowers, just like the movies," he smiled and shrugged, "I thought it would be romantic, but if you don't think so... I’ll just..."
“No, no, I like it, I love it... Give it to me." You laughed a little, taking the tray from Harvey.
You picked up the flowers and brought them to your nose, inhaling their sweet scent. Harvey was always doing things like this for you, whether it be helping you with your writing or just spending a quiet night in with a book and some tea. You never felt more at home than when you were with Harvey, and he was always so kind and gentle to you, so it wasn't exactly surprising that he'd be a romantic at heart.
“Oh, Harvey, you shouldn't have..." you smiled at him as you set the flowers down, taking up your toast and a slice of egg.
"Yeah, well, I wanted to," he grinned a bit, "I like making you smile."
You chuckled a little, chewing on your food.
"That's good to hear," you said with your mouth full, "Because I like it when you do."
He gave you a soft smile, and your heart fluttered as he ran a hand through your hair. Soft, gentle fingers as he brushed your bangs aside.
"Good..." He whispered.
You placed your hand on top of his as he brought it down to your cheek, gently stroking it with his thumb as he leaned down to kiss you softly. You smiled against his lips, wrapping your arms around his shoulders as you kissed him back. He pulled back to look at you, his brown eyes glowing as they stared into your own.
"Make sure to have a taste of that coffee while it's hot," he whispered as he rested his forehead on yours, "I made it just how you like it."
Your cheeks were rosy, and your heart was racing. You giggled a little and looked up at him through your lashes, opening your mouth to say something.
But he just shoved the coffee into your hand, taking your fork from you to cut up your eggs for you.
"And have some of this, too," he said as he cut up a piece of toast, "You’re going to need this after that…”
“After what?”
The question seemed so far off, but it was answered when you decided to finally take a sip of the coffee he made you.
You spat it out into the mug, coughing a little as it burned your throat. You wheezed as Harvey patted your back, laughing at you a little.
"What's wrong?!" He asked, sounding concerned, but you knew he wasn’t. He had that mischievous glint in his eye that meant he was up to no good.
You shoved the cup at him, scowling as he took it from your hands.
"I can't believe you..." you coughed, "I thought you were being serious."
Harvey's smile only grew as he sipped his coffee, humming to himself.
"Oh, I am," he said as he leaned down, kissing your cheek, "I think you’re just being a bit… salty."
You groaned in annoyance and tried to get up, but Harvey caught your arms in his hands, pinning you back down in place.
"Salt? Why would you—"
"Because you're always so sweet with your words... I thought it would be nice if you had a taste of what you put out… down there," he smirked, and you couldn't help but blush a bit.
"Harvey! That is so gross," you whined as you covered your face with your hands.
"Mm, yeah, but it's hot."
"Oh, my God..."
He laughed again as he pulled you close to him, and you sighed. You knew he wasn't going to let you leave the bed, so you just gave in to him, snuggling closer as you watched him take another sip of his coffee, the non-tainted one.
The warmth of his body seeped into yours, and the scent of his cologne surrounded you, and you felt at ease with him. He always smelt so good.
Your eyes traveled down his torso, stopping at the bottom of his shirt. You traced the outline of his waistband with your eyes, wanting to move further down, but you stopped yourself.
"You know what, this is war.”
He grinned and sat back, leaning against the headboard.
"Is that so?" He asked, holding out your cup for you to take. "I hope you're prepared to lose, then."
You smacked it away, causing him to laugh at you again, but you held determination in your eyes. You took a moment to compose yourself before you crawled over him, placing a kiss on his lips.
"You underestimate me," you whispered against his mouth, "You haven't seen what I'm capable of..."
"Oh yeah?" he grinned, "Then I guess I should take you down now while I can."
He wrapped his arms around you as you kissed him again, parting your lips as you ran your tongue along his bottom lip. You gasped softly when he pulled you closer; your bodies pressed together as you fell into the mattress, Harvey's body on top of you. The tray was long forgotten as he broke away from your mouth to kiss down your neck and chest, his hands running under the shirt he let you borrow.
You didn’t forget about the salt incident when that morning came to pass, though. The thought of revenge was engrained in the back of your mind that entire week, attempting to come up with the perfect plan—the perfect revenge. You had an idea, but you definitely needed help, so you called the two people who you knew would take every opportunity to ruin Harvey's life if they could...
And then the day came, the day just before Christmas Eve. Harvey, as usual, strolled into the firm, not a care in the world. At least, not until he came upon his office.
“What the hell is…? Donna? What is this?!" Harvey was standing in the doorway of his office, looking at his desk.
The once clean, neat desk was now covered in complete decorations, lights, tinsel, and a bright red bow on his computer. Not to mention how the desk was wrapped in several rolls of shiny, green gift wrap paper.
"A Christmas gift, obviously," Donna said, not even bothering to look up from her paperwork.
He walked inside, and that’s when he realized it wasn’t just his desk. It was everything. The walls were decorated with wrapping paper, some of the framed pictures on the wall had been taken out of their frames, placed into small red boxes and set on top of the filing cabinet. God, even his signed basketballs.
"Donna, what the hell is all this?!" He asked, a hint of panic in his voice.
"I told you. A Christmas gift." She replied as if it was the simplest thing in the world.
"Why?! When did you even—"
“Look at the ceiling; that’s my favorite part. The lights are so pretty!"
He looked up at the ceiling, his eyes wide. It wasn't just tinsel, lights, and wrapping paper.
It was Louis. Everywhere.
Louis’ face covered every inch of the ceiling. His mouth open in a smile with a Santa hat that was photoshopped on his head. It was the worst thing he could think of, and yet, somehow, it was the most impressive thing at the same time. It was a conundrum.
“That one was my idea.” Mike came in with his own grin on his face, taking a bite out of a donut, the red frosting dripping off the side as he held it in his hand.
"…You’re in on this? I can't believe you two..." Harvey dropped his bag to the floor, falling into his chair and just staring at the decorations.
"You do realize what this is, right?" Mike asked, looking up at the ceiling with humor in his eyes.
"This is me being punished,” Harvey sighed. He looked to the door, expecting you to pop out at any minute, but you never did.
Donna smirked a little and looked over at him, "It’s not over yet."
"I have a feeling I'm about to find that out," Harvey mumbled under his breath as she walked out.
"Merry Christmas, Harvey!" Donna called as she left his office, and he could only roll his eyes.
The day passed slowly, and Harvey couldn't take his eyes off Louis, who was smiling down on him all day, even if he was so far away. Every time he tried to do his paperwork, read, or work on a case, Louis' face was just there, staring at him. It was both horrifying and brilliant.
And yet, somehow, he kept going until it was just after 9. He was finishing up his work for the day, just as he normally would. He was almost done, in fact, but he heard the familiar click of Donna's heels coming up to his door. He didn't even have to look up at her to know she had you with her; he could practically hear the giggles.
"Come in," he sighed.
Donna opened the door, holding it open for you to walk in first, and then she shut it behind her, leaving you in the room alone with him.
You were wearing a long, black winter coat that was too large for your small frame, but it looked good on you nonetheless. Your hands were hidden in your pockets as you looked up at him, smiling and biting your lip.
"Merry Christmas, Harvey." You said sweetly, walking over to his desk.
"Yeah, Merry Christmas to you too." He sighed as he leaned back in his chair, taking a look at the clock on his wall. It was also wrapped in your Christmas paper, but this one had snowflakes on it.
“How’d you get Jessica to allow this? She’s usually so strict on this stuff."
You laughed quietly and shrugged your shoulders.
"She liked it. She thought it was a good idea," you bit your lip a little, "It was pretty easy, actually."
"You mean you begged her until she agreed to do this to me?" He smirked.
"That's right. But it was worth it, wasn't it?" You smiled, reaching into your coat pocket. You pulled out a small box of wrapping paper with shiny green bows on it.
"What is that?" He asked, pointing at it.
"I don't know, but I bet it's pretty amazing," you grinned, placing it down on the desk in front of him. “Guess you have to open it and find out."
Harvey slowly leaned forward, taking the box in his hands. He had a feeling he knew what it was before he even unwrapped it, and he could only sigh.
Sure enough, it was exactly what he figured—a small bag of the finest Epstein salt, just for him.
"So, what'd you think?" You asked with a proud grin, and he smiled up at you.
"I think this is the most elaborate, disgusting, amazing thing I've ever seen in my life."
“Just wait til you see the apartment. It's a Christmas wonderland," you laughed as you watched Harvey’s face turn into complete horror.
That face of horror returned the second he unlocked the keys to his apartment. You had taken him there to show him what you did before your dinner reservations, and you knew what was coming.
He opened the door, and you weren't lying. You had decorated every inch of the apartment, using decorations he wouldn't have expected, but you were so thorough that it was like every room had its own theme.
The living room, kitchen, bathroom, and even his bedroom had its own theme of Christmas decorations, and Harvey's jaw nearly hit the floor. You were able to get Mike during the day when he went to see Rachel, and he did the ceilings and walls while you went around all the furniture.
It looked like you were on a Christmas vacation, in fact. There was so much to take in, so much to see, so Harvey walked around in shock, not even bothering to remove his coat or shoes before he did.
"Oh, my God," he whispered, "Oh, my God..."
"Yeah, I know," you giggled as he walked to the kitchen, taking a look in. "We ran out of Louis pictures, though, so it's not as perfect as I wanted it.”
He glanced at you from the corner of his eye, smiling a little as you bit your lip, looking a little bashful.
"All this because of some salty coffee?"
"What can I say, Harvey?" You asked, walking up behind him. "I just can't let something like that go without retaliation."
He turned around to face you, and you had your arms already stretched out, ready to hug him, but he decided to chase you instead.
And once he had you, he wouldn't let you go. His arms were wrapped around you, your face pressed against his chest as he kissed the top of your head, holding you tight.
"I hate you," he whispered into your hair, and you looked up at him.
“I love you too.” You smiled sweetly as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
Unbeknownst to him, though, you had one final surprise that would knock him off his feet.
That night, you were cuddled up in bed with a book, waiting for Harvey to get out of the shower. Once he did and headed towards his side of the bed, you sat up and smiled. The book went out of your hands in a heartbeat.
He wore nothing but a towel around his waist, and his hair was still damp as he went over to his drawer to pull out some pajamas. You watched him quietly, waiting patiently.
"Can you grab me the bottoms on your side of the drawer?" He asked, pulling out his top drawer. His face was quick to turn into a look of confusion as he opened it. "What the—"
You sat up and walked over to him, pressing your finger to his lips as you watched his eyes look down.
His top drawer that consisted his underwear was now completely covered in the Christmas spirit. Every single pair that was in there was wrapped in green, silver, and gold. And to top it all off, that was where all the remaining Louis pictures were hidden.
“You just got Litt up.” You said with a smirk.
His palm pressed against his face as he groaned into it. He was most definitely disappointed in you, but you knew deep down that he was more proud than anything.
"You're evil," he scoffed, turning and lowering his head to look at you, and that look told you everything you needed to know. "but damn are you good.”
"Told you I would win." You chuckled and leaned up, kissing his cheek. “Guess you’ll have to try your luck next year.”
Harvey might always win in the world of law, but in his heart, he knew you always would be the winner when it came to the two of you.
And that was a loss Harvey could live with.

This part is angst but it does have a happy ending
Something More (p2)
Harvey Specter x Reader
———
It had been six months since that first night with Harvey, and ever since then he’d been nothing short of a perfect gentleman. He made it a point to always open the car door for you, made surprise dinner reservations after secretly checking your calendar, and you frequently came into your office to find flowers, breakfast, coffee, or just little notes from him. They were little things, but they were things that no guy had ever done for you before. You never exactly announced your relationship to the office, but everyone had mostly figured out that something had been going on.
"Oooh those are pretty, I wonder who those are from" Rachel teased as she walked into your office, nodding at the rather large vase full of flowers. She knew about you and Harvey, of course.
"Check out the card, it says it's from a secret admirer" You said, handing her the card that came with the flowers.
“For the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, I am so lucky to know you” she read the card aloud. "So I take it things are still going well with you two?"
"Honestly, things are really great. I know it’s pretty early still but, I can’t help but feel like this is the real deal. We've been opening up a lot to each other, he's been really sweet." You gushed.
"That's amazing! How did it go after he told you about Scottie? I mean I don't even know how I'd react"
You were puzzled, of course you knew about Scottie, everyone in the office knew about her and Harvey’s former relationship. For Rachel to bring her up like this, something else had to have happened.
"Told me... what about Scottie exactly?"
Rachel's froze, realizing that Harvey in fact had not told you about the recent development regarding his ex-girlfriend.
"Um, she's going up against Harvey on a case. She'll be in the office this week for a deposition. I'm sorry Y/N, I really thought you knew." Rachel apologized, feeling awful she had to be the one to break the news to you.
You’d known about his history with Scottie for a while now, he’d mentioned her to you and, through the work grapevine, you’d gathered that at one time Scottie meant the world to Harvey. The logical part of your brain knew that he wouldn’t leave you to go back her, but the fact that he hid it from you that she was coming into the office, gave you a pit in your stomach anyways.
"It's ok Rachel, don't worry about it. On an unrelated note, I'm going to see Harvey. Thanks for letting me know." You said, standing and smoothing out your dress before marching down to Harvey's office.
He looked up too briefly to notice the look on your face before he spoke.
"Hey babe, sorry I didn't come see you yet today, I've just been swamped."
"So swamped you couldn't seem to find the time to tell me you have a case against Scottie?"
"Excuse me?"
"Harvey, why did I have to find out about your ex-girlfriend coming into our workplace from someone who isn't you?" You pressed further, the anger bubbling inside your chest.
The look on Harvey's face was one you'd never seen pointed in your direction before, but you weren't about to back down.
"I didn't tell you because I didn't think it mattered!" He said, raising his voice now.
"Why would you think that wouldn't matter to me? You had a serious relationship with her and she's opposing counsel on your case, that's something you should at least consider sharing with the person you're dating!"
"What exactly do you think is going to happen in that room? I have work to do during a deposition, and the last thing that would ever be on my mind is sleeping with another woman who isn't you!"
"It isn't you I don't trust Harvey! How do you not see that? I don't know this woman, how could you expect me to trust her? I know she was in love with you, and I know that things have heated up with you two during cases in the past. I don't understand how you're blaming me for feeling like this."
He sighed, clearly irritated. He focused his attention back on the paperwork he had on the desk, not even bothering to look up at you as he spoke. His voice was quieter now, but still every bit as angry.
"I can't believe you're being this insecure over something so stupid. If you can't believe me when I say that I won’t allow anything to happen between me and Scottie ever again, then maybe we shouldn’t be together after all. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not that guy, and I thought you knew me better than that." He responded coldly.
You scoffed in shock. You couldn't believe he was actually serious in turning this around on you. Your stomach turned now.
"Insecure? Right, okay. You know what, why don't you call me when you have your shit together enough to figure out why I'm angry right now, and why that was fucked up of you to say." You said loudly, turning on your heel and storming off, back to your office.
You faintly heard him call your name as you walked, but you didn’t dare turn back, and he didn't follow either.
Not two minutes after you returned to your desk, Donna was in your doorway, a sheepish look on her face.
"Donna, it wasn't your fault." You said, not giving her a chance to even blame herself.
"I know, but I should've known he hadn't told you. I told him you'd want to know, I just figured maybe he'd listen for once." She explained.
You sighed, your eyes landing on the vase of flowers from that morning. Tears threatened to fall from your eyes, but you were fighting them hard.
"For what it's worth, he may be an ass but I know he cares about you, more than anyone I’ve seen him with. He can't see anyone else now that he's with you, I really wouldn't worry about Scottie. Harvey shouldn’t have said what he said to you, that was totally out of line. He’ll figure it out soon and probably come baring more flowers.”
The dam broke, and the tears fell. The hurt you still felt from Harvey’s words combined with Donna’s reassurances were too much.
"Thanks Donna" You said, sniffling.
She gave a sad smile before letting you know she had to get back to work, leaving you with a ‘hang in there’ as she departed.
You took a few deep breaths and wiped your tears before getting back to work, throwing yourself deep into your files. Maybe not the best coping mechanism, but it kept you busy enough to not think about Harvey. This worked for a little while, but slowly his harsh words would creep back into your mind, making you cry fresh tears all over again.
As time went on and the sun had long gone down, you felt your head start to pound. The time on your laptop showed 9:15 pm. You stretched a little, deciding to call it a night and head for home. It seemed that everyone else had left the office a while ago, if the silence of the halls rather than the typical hustle and bustle was any indication. The closer you got to the end of the hall, however, you heard music floating through the silence. If the office at the end of the hall belonged to anyone other than Harvey, you’d think this was the beginning of a ghost story about a haunted office building. The melody was somber. You walked forward, slower now, as you neared his office.
“Shit, why is he still here?” You thought. “He’s normally gone by 8 latest”
You stood there in the hall only inches from his door, debating on what to do. You knew he’d see you when you walked by, and even if he didn’t he would surely hear the elevator ding.
As you weighed the possible outcomes, you really had no time to react when you saw him suddenly walk out of his office, pausing too when he noticed you.
“Oh, Y/N. Hey, I was just coming to see if you were still here.”
“I was just going home.”
“Your home? Or mine?” He asked, in a tone that sounded like he didn’t want to know the answer.
You’d been sleeping at Harvey’s many nights since you started dating, in fact you weren’t even certain of the last time you’d slept in your own bed.
“Mine. After what you said to me, I don’t think I feel welcome at yours right now.”
It was only then that Harvey took in your appearance, and his heart dropped. You looked completely exhausted, the mascara on your eyes was long gone, and your cheeks and eyes were tinted red. He knew you’d been crying, and the look on his face was one of pure agony. He felt awful.
“I… Y/N I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about Scottie. I just really didn’t think you’d care since I know how much I trust you. I lashed out and I yelled at you, and I shouldn't have done that. I didn’t think about your perspective, and I’m just so sorry. I never should’ve said that stuff to you" He said, slightly out of breath from his passion.
Tears openly fell from your eyes once again as you listened. You stepped forward, not responding. He reached for you, wiping the tears gently from your cheeks. You buried your face in his chest as he wrapped his arms around you firmly. He rested his chin on the top of your head, whispering how sorry he was.
“Can I kiss you?” he asked quietly after a moment of silence.
“Please”
He didn’t waste another second before locking your lips with his. The kiss was full of longing and despair.
“I thought I lost you, and it was all my fault. I've never felt like this about anyone else, and the second I realized what I did I felt sick that I made you feel that way. I didn't know what to do.” Harvey rambled.
“Shhh, Harvey, It’s okay now. I’m right here, and I'm not going to leave you.”
He sighed in relief, closing his eyes briefly before opening them again and looking into yours.
"What did I do to deserve you?"
"It helps that you're handsome." You said, a smile growing on your lips.
Harvey chuckled, placing a hand on your lower back and walking you into his office so he could grab his stuff and lead you to the elevators.
"I'd love to have you over tonight, but I understand if you're not ready."
You smiled, grabbing his hand and kissing the back of it.
"If you want me to come, then I'd love to come over"
"Good. I don't think I could've gone another minute without you"

Fluffy February #4- Learn
Suits / Marvey / Rated T
Harvey Reginald Specter had unironically been called brilliant more than once in his life, and he wasn’t inclined to disagree. He was smart, determined, able to think on his feet and improvise, anticipate, manipulate. He worked hard to get where he was; he was always hungry for a win and rarely left unsatisfied.
Harvey knew he could court Mike. He knew he could seduce him. But he was more than aware of his own deficits too. Entire skill sets had been forgone in favor of easier, more lucrative ones, and he’d never quite mastered anything approaching a normal healthy relationship. That was problematic.
After Mike and Rachel called it quits, Harvey saw an opportunity. He waited until caseloads were relatively under control, until Mike seemed to be ready to move on, until Harvey couldn’t possibly wait any longer to take a step down a path he’d been contemplating for too long.  Harvey wasn’t under any delusions of keeping things casual; he’d hurt too many people with his ignorance in relationships and would not be so careless this time. Not with Mike.
He wanted to discover what it would feel like to unleash his full charm on Mike. He wanted to explore all the different ways he could make Mike laugh or grin or gasp or relax. He wanted to master his Saturday night desires and memorize his Sunday morning bed head.
So Mike, almost dazed, agreed to a date. And then another. It felt natural to be together, to eat and talk and flirt and trade small touches and even a few kisses. It was thrilling and still simple.
On the third, Harvey proposed a walk through the park on the way to an early dinner. Mike was visibly working up the nerve to talk about whatever was going on between them, so Harvey steered them toward a bench. Here, Harvey swallowed his pride and explained that he really had no idea what he was doing. He knew that he was interested in Mike. He knew he wanted to see how they could be together. He knew he was serious and sincere about Mike. Harvey Reginald Specter held Mike’s hand and explained that his brilliance did not in any way extend to relationships, but if Mike was willing to be patient with him, he intended to learn.

Who do you call when it’s late at night?
Everything went still: her flickering heart, her roaring blood deafening her to all else, and the cycling thoughts that usually haunted her vanished as she shoved the door open, backing away from him as she was done chasing. Done waiting for him. It was time for him to take her. She felt his stare like a physical touch as it roamed over her, and her nipples peaked through her scanty sleepwear, a fact he did not miss.
Harvey strode right for her.
Hardman is gone but Donna isn’t there to celebrate their victory. Harvey hurries to fix that, embracing what he’s always known to be true, and Donnas patience is rewarded.

"Is this seat taken?"
The question makes you lips curl with a smile, though you keep your eyes set stalwartly on your phone as you write out in email.
"The air's occupying it pretty heavily," You offer.
"Do you mind if I join you?"
"If you must."
You don't have to look to know that the remainder of the bar is unoccupied, and there's no doubt as to why the man's bothered to sit beside you. You don't even bother to get a look at your new companion.
"Do you come here often?" He asks, and you can't help but scoff a laugh.
"Really? That's your opening line?"
"Technically, my opening line was 'is this seat taken'. This is just my second ice breaker."
"The fact that you need a second ice breaker is concerning."
"You haven't answered it."
"It wouldn't help you. I never answer that honestly."
"Why not?"
"In case you're some weirdo stalker."
"At least I'd be a weirdo stalker with money."
"You'd have to be. A damn gimlet costs $40 here. It's horrifying."
"It's Manhattan."
"I know bars where you can get a gimlet for a reasonable price."
"Why aren't you there now?"
"Because I'm meeting someone. He'll need that seat, by the way."
"He won't."
"No? And why's that?"
"You'll be too in love with me by the time he gets here."
"Well. He is late already," You eye the time before you finally lower your phone, turning to get a look at the man. He's smiling warmly at you, his dark eyes glimmering with mirth. Sweeping your gaze over his suit, and you find his tie just a touch askew.
"...I guess you'll do for now," You sigh forlornly.
"I'm flattered."
"You should be. I'm throwing a good man over for you."
"A late good man?"
"Not the first time, certainly won't be the last."
"Any man that leaves you on your own ought to be drawn and quartered."
"I don't mind some time to myself."
"Secure. I like that."
"Is that all you like?"
"Hardly, but we'll start there."
"Erm...Ma'am?"
The two of you turn your heads at the sound of the tentative interruption by the bartender. You arch a brow, urging them on, and they add, "This man isn't bothering you, is he?"
You grin, unable to help it, and knowing that Harvey's doing the same.
"Yes, but it's alright. He's my husband, so he bothers me all the time."
"Oh," They chuckle, nodding, "Is there anything that I could get you, sir?"
"Macallan, neat."
"And another for you, ma'am?"
"Please."
"Coming right up."
You reach out, straightening Harvey's tie. His gaze lingers on you, and he catches hold of your hand before you can pull it away.
"You're late," You admonish.
"I know, I'm sorry. A deposition ran over," He leans in, lips brushing yours, "And traffic was awful."
"Why don't you just take the train?"
"Mm."
"I know it has some issues, but Manhattan traffic, my god—"
"Would you shut up and let me kiss you?" He murmurs, the feeling of it buzzing your lips. You grin, raising your free hand to cup his jaw and press your lips warmly to his. He sighs softly, lowering his hand to your leg and sweeping his thumb gently over the exposed skin of your knee.
"Let's bag dinner," He mumbles, "I want to take you home now."
"Dinner first, Specter," You pat his cheek and turn back toward your phone. "I'm willing to bet you haven't eaten since this morning."
Harvey just grunts in annoyance, leaning in and brushing his lips against your neck, only drawing away as the bartender sets his Macallan down.
"Your table is nearly ready, Mrs. Specter," They add, smiling at you and setting down your fresh drink.
"Thank you."
You hear Harvey huff softly, and you turn, brow furrowing.
"What is it?"
"Nothing," He shakes his head, a fond smile on his lips as he lowers his drink. "I just never get tired of hearing that."
TLDR: He flirts with them a lot

[Harvey Specter & Teen!Reader]
Synopsis: All you wanted was to spend more time with your busy uncle, but since he’s the best closer in town, even a simple concert at your school is inconvenient. Still, given the importance, you can’t help but try.
WC: 2198
Category: Platonic, Angst/Fluff
New show alert! Well, it's not really new to me since I'm almost on season seven now, and it's an old show to begin with, but this show currently has a death grip over me, and I'm actually shocked it took me this long to start writing for it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this... buffoonery because I sure did.
『••✎••』
Harvey Specter was the kind of man that was always on the move. The workaholic attorney practically lived at his job, and if he wasn't there, he was out trying to get more clients. He rarely had time for himself or for those closest to him, which was why you rarely saw him anymore. It was always quick phone calls that were over before you could even grab the phone from your father. The rare occasion that you were able to actually spend time with your uncle was the holidays, and even then, he’d always leave early. There was always some case that required his attention, and you knew better than to complain about it.
He was your hero, and you respected the fact that his work was so important to him. But that didn't stop the sting when he'd cancel plans for the third time in a row. You loved him, and you knew that he loved you, but that didn't mean you didn't miss him. You wanted him to be around, and you wanted him to be proud of you. That was why when you found out that you were picked to do the major solo in your upcoming choir concert, you immediately thought of him. How proud he’d be when he showed up and heard you sing.
But… when you decided to “drop by” his office, you were reminded once again that your uncle was a very busy man. He was hunched over his desk, his hand was in his hair, and his eyes focused on whatever paper he was reading. He didn’t even hear Donna, his amazing secretary, when she told him you were here. So, you walked in and cleared your throat, making him look up.
"Uncle Harvey, hi!" you said happily, walking closer to his desk. He looked tired and not at all happy to see you, but you weren't going to let that deter you.
"Hey, kiddo. What are you doing here?" he asked, not taking his eyes off the papers in front of him. You sat down and leaned forward, trying to read them, but he was quick to snatch them up.
"I just wanted to come see you. I haven't seen you since Christmas."
"Well, I've been busy. You know that." He said, standing up and shuffling the papers into a folder. "What's up, kid?"
Harvey turned back around to face you, a small and tired smile on his lips. You reminded him a lot of Mike, though it really should be the other way around. You were always curious about his work, wanting to learn everything you could. Mike did, too, but he didn’t have the same innocence as you. The smiles you wore were much more genuine.
"Well, I just wanted to ask you something," you said, suddenly feeling shy. He sat down again and leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table and clasping his hands.
"Shoot."
You took a deep breath and began to explain, "So, I have this choir concert coming up. I've been taking lessons for a while, and I auditioned and got this huge, big solo in one of the songs.”
"That's great. What's the question?"
"Well,” You let out a sigh, “I was hoping that you would be able to come.”
There was a pause as Harvey let what you said sink in. His expression shifted to something that you couldn't place. There was a mix of emotions in his eyes, and it made you uneasy. You knew what was coming, but you still held onto hope. You held onto the idea that this one time was the exception.
Spoiler alert, it wasn’t.
"As much as I would love to, kiddo, I can't," he said, his tone a bit softer than it was before.
"Can't or won't?"
“I have a case that requires a lot of my attention right now. A man could go to prison for something he didn’t do, and I can't risk that happening because I went to some little show."
"Some little show? Uncle Harvey, this isn’t just some show! This is a big deal, and I want you there. I want you to be proud of me,” you said, trying not to get angry.
"I'm always proud of you."
"It doesn't feel like it."
He looked at you for a moment before letting out a sigh. He leaned back in his chair, running his hands over his face. It was clear that he was stressed and had a lot of work to do, but you still couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
"I have a lot going on, okay?" he said, a bit harsher than before. You felt yourself shrink a little, and you dropped your head, nodding.
"Yeah, I know," you mumbled, standing up and grabbing your bag. "I'm sorry. I'll let you get back to work."
He called after you, but you kept walking. You didn't stop until you got outside, and even then, all you could think about was going home and being alone.
"How'd it go?" Donna asked, sitting at her desk. She had a warm smile on her lips and a cup of coffee in her hands, but it quickly faded when she saw the look on your face.
"Why ask when you already know the answer? I'll see you later," you mumbled, waving as you passed. She called your name, too, but you ignored her like your uncle. You weren't in the mood to talk to anyone. You just wanted to be by yourself. Maybe eat some ice cream, too, just to dissolve the disappointment.
Once out of sight, Donna let out a sigh, shaking her head before deciding to walk into Harvey's office. She was ready to tell him off for how he treated you, but the words died in her throat. He was leaning back in his chair, the same tired expression he'd had when you came in still on his face. It wasn't the fact that he looked so worn that stopped her, though. It was the look of guilt and regret.
"Go away, Donna,” he grumbled, not looking at her. “I don’t want to hear it."
"You should," she replied, closing the door and stepping inside. "She's a kid, Harvey, and she looks up to you."
"I know that."
"Do you? Because, from what I saw, it doesn't seem like it."
"Donna, what do you want from me? I can't just drop everything and go to a show. Not when someone's life is on the line. I have a job to do," Harvey said, his voice rising as he stood up.
"That's a crap excuse, and you know it. You can work around things. I know you can."
"It's not that simple. I have a lot going on, and I can't just let it fall through the cracks."
"But you can let your niece fall through the cracks?"
"Donna-"
"She wanted you there, Harvey, and you just dismissed her. Instead of a simple “I’ll try my best,” you said to her face that her show isn’t important enough."
"I did not say that," Harvey snapped, moving around his desk.
"Some little show?" Donna mocked, throwing his words back at him. It got him to pause, his anger fading into something else.
"Don’t quote me. You know I didn't mean it like that."
"Didn't you? You didn't exactly phrase it nicely."
Harvey's jaw tightened, and his hands clenched into fists. Donna could tell that he was holding back. She had hit a sore spot and as much as he wanted to yell, he was stopping himself.
"Why do you care so much?" he asked, his tone sharp.
"Because she's a good kid, and she deserves better than your bullshit."
"Get out," Harvey said, turning his back to her and sitting down. Donna watched him, trying to see if he'd change his mind.
"Fine," she said, "But just think about what I said."
And with that, she walked out of his office, leaving him alone with his thoughts. She wasn’t wrong, and that pissed him off.
He hated being wrong, and even though he didn’t think he was, the guilt that filled his chest wouldn’t let him think anything else.
The next week, you were backstage and trying not to freak out. It wasn’t that you were nervous. You loved to sing, and it wasn't hard to do it in front of a crowd. There were so many people there, and they all cared. You didn't have anything to worry about. It was more so the fact that your uncle was one of the few who wasn’t.
He didn’t call or even send a text. It was radio silence, and it hurt, but you weren’t surprised. As much as you wanted him to be there, he wasn’t going to come. He had more important things to do, and as much as it sucked, you accepted it.
Still, the idea of singing without him knowing about it made you want to throw up.
You didn’t have time to dwell on it though because the concert was starting. Your solo was near the end, and it was the last song, so you didn’t have to sit and watch everyone else for too long. That was good, but not enough to stop you from worrying.
Before you could start panicking, the choir started, and you were forced to focus. All thoughts of your uncle slipped away as the music washed over you, and soon, you were lost. Everything seemed to blur as the sound grew louder and the world became smaller. This was where you were meant to be. On stage, singing your heart out.
Your parents and little sister were in the crowd, and you knew they were cheering for you. You couldn’t hear them, but the image was enough.
You finished your solo, the sound echoing off the walls and making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Everyone was clapping, and you smiled, bowing as the lights dimmed.
As soon as it was all over, you rushed backstage and grabbed your things, ready to go home and relax. But, the minute you walked out the front door with your father, you froze.
“You were a little sharp, don’t you think? It's not terrible; it's just a bit off-key. But we can work on that next time.”
"Harvey." Your father said, not sounding all too happy. You looked up, and sure enough, there he was. “Still an asshole I see.”
"Marcus! How nice to see you too!" Harvey greeted sarcastically, nodding along. He turned his gaze to you and smiled. You could tell he was proud, even though he didn't say it.
"I thought you couldn't make it." You said, a hint of hopefulness in your voice.
"Eh, I figured why the hell not. It's not every day that my niece becomes Hannah Montana," Harvey joked, nudging you playfully. "Seriously, kiddo. You sounded great up there. You really blew it out of the water."
Your face broke out into a smile, and you rushed forward, pulling him into a tight hug. He was stiff at first, not expecting it, but he relaxed quickly. His hand came up to rest on your head, and you pulled back, a bright smile on your lips.
"Donna talked you into coming, didn't she?"
"You have no proof of that."
"I bet she had a list."
"Of reasons why you deserve the world? Absolutely," Harvey said, ruffling your hair. "But, I am glad I came. I needed a break."
"You mean you need sleep," your dad interjected, walking over to stand beside you. He was giving Harvey a stern look, but the older Spector brother couldn’t help but smirk.
"I can't believe you're still a stick in the mud. What happened to the cool dad I once knew?"
"He had to go and get an even bigger headache."
"You say headache; I say blessing," Harvey shot back, earning an eye roll from his younger brother.
"Whatever. We'll talk about it later," Marcus said, "You eating with us, Harvey?"
"If you're offering."
"Well, then let's go. I'm starving, and we can't have you pass out. Who would drive your expensive ass home?"
"Better knock it off before Katie hears you."
"She's used to it."
"Used to what?"
"Me calling you an asshole."
"Oh, yeah? What about-"
"Boys, behave." Your mother said, finally cutting into the conversation. You all turned, a bit shocked, and looked at her.
"I can't help that he's so easy to mess with," Harvey said, pointing to his brother.
"Yeah, right. Like I'm the easy target."
"Alright, alright. Come on, let's go," Katie said, putting an arm around your shoulders and guiding you toward the car. You glanced back at Harvey and waved. He smiled and waved back, falling into step beside your father.
It was a long night of bickering and laughter. A lot of it was your dad and uncle picking on each other, but it was fun. Harvey seemed to relax and not worry about anything else. He was there, and he was happy.
Maybe, for the first time in a long time, he wasn't too busy.
Not for you.

I think Harvey would be thw type of person who makes love specially when he’s feeling sad. Like he needs comfort and to be as close to his s/o as possible, fingers intertwined and all that nice shit. How do you think reader would comfort him after he had a discussion with someone of his family?
{Oh, My Human Heart} Harvey Specter x Reader
So my mind went to [SEASON 8 EPISODE 5 SPOILER WARNING] where Harvey went up to Boston to defend his brother against his wife's divorce. That shit crushed my soul man, so this is based on that! Enjoy!! Title is a lyric from this song.
Word Count: 3,191
Warnings: fluff, hurt/comfort, angst, smut, Season 8 Episode 5 Spoilers
Summary: When Harvey returned home from visiting his brother unexpectedly, there is an obvious weight to his shoulders as he slumps inside. And it’s your mission to find out what it is and wipe it from his memory.
Tagging: @kjbg-fantasymoon (your request is next babes <3)
~~~~~~~
The door slammed. Hard. Concerningly hard.
“Harvey?” You shouted out into the kitchen, taking off the towel from your shoulder and set it on the counter. No one responded. Worry coursed through you, and you grabbed the knife from the cutting board. Just in case.
Your husband rounded the corner and you jumped, but let the fear drain from your held breath and set the knife down. “Jesus Harvy, you could’ve… hey, what are you doing back here?”
Harvey looked indecipherably pissed. He had hard creases in his face and his lips pressed in that flat line that meant someone was about to see that side of him that meant he was gonna raise hell. He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out, and he let his hands fall to his sides.
“Okay, okay come sit, love,” You reached for him and guided him to the island. “Do you want to talk about it? A distraction? To be left the hell alone?”
That communication strategy had worked wonders when Harvey came home from a lethal case. All the details you knew about this one involved his brother and a divorce from his wife. It had already shattered Harvey’s heart to hear they were splitting up, but this was… this was rage. Raw fury.
“I am going to open my mouth and let the floodgates go with it, and I just need you to try and make sense of it. Because for reasons only known by Jesus-fucking-Christ himself can this be possible.”
You just nodded, letting Harvey take some deep breaths. You noticed his hands were shaking. He was shaking. What the fuck happened in Boston?
“Marcus called me up there to represent him for his divorce,” Harvey started, thumbs in his eyes. “He told me that it was because she had an affair. I was ready to go kick down her door and take their kids away myself. Turns out, he lied to me. She was divorcing him because he started gambling again and he told Haley not to tell Katie.”
Your blood ran cold, all remorse leaving your body for Marcus. How could he fucking do that?
“So, tell me this Yn. Why would my own god damn brother, who I spent my money on to build him a dream restaurant, lie to my fucking face? Not once. Not twice. Four times. Four opportunities he had to tell me and he waited till the last fucking second. I-I can’t even begin to describe how sick it makes me feel to have Haley be put in that position.”
“It is wildly unfair for her, and for their son,” you felt awful for them. They were the sweetest kids and didn’t deserve to have that weight on their shoulders.
“I mean, was he not apart of the fucking family when mom did that to me? Did he suddenly just show up on our doorstep one night looking for a place to sleep like a stray cat? No, he didn’t. He’s my fucking brother. He was there when mom did it to me. And he saw what it did to our family. What it did to me. He was the one trying to fix our fucking fucked up family. To piece it together after the fall out and he expects me to do the same when he did the one thing worse than practically fucking cheating on her.”
“Harvey I think that's a little-”
“Now he’s destroying his own life. No, not even destroying, destroyed. He has ruined all chances of working things out between him and Katie and honestly, I can’t be fucking bothered to watch it crumble to the ground. And the worst part of it is he had the audacity to ask me to win this case. He doesn’t deserve to win let alone ask me. What a selfish, lying son of a bitch-”
“Harvey,” you placed a hand on his shoulder to keep him from walking away. He had been moving around animatedly, now up out of his seat and waving around. “Take a deep breath. Please.”
He did.
“Good,” You smiled softly.
He took another. And another. “Sorry… just- sorry.”
“It’s okay,” You came and stood in front of him, hands flat on his chest. “Let’s go and get you changed and we can keep talking through it. If you’d like.”
Though Harvey’s eyes were harsh, that anger wasn’t directed at you. You’ve dealt with him like this on more than one occasion, and you’ve learned to recognize the difference. He didn’t dare look at you the way he is now.
After taking his hand and leading him up stairs, you took your time undressing him so he could be more comfortable. Once upon a time he had told you that the feeling of your hands on him could make him forget anything and everything. It was only in your best interest to do that for him now. To calm him so he could see the full picture.
Starting with his tie, you walked to the closet and hung it up in the empty space from where you picked it out this morning. Much the same with the jacket, tossing his still crisp white-shirt in the laundry. He handed you his belt and shoes, and while you put them away, he took off his dress pants and put on sweats by the time you came back.
“Better?” You asked, placing his hands across your middle.
He smiled, “Better.”
Harvey was still sitting, but he rested his forehead against your stomach, just breathing. With calm hands you massaged his scalp and neck, his shoulders and arms. It was important to give Harvey his space at times like this, letting him speak when he wanted. Otherwise he’d just get defensive and shut down. That was not beneficial to either of you.
“I’m so fucking mad at Marcus, Yn.”
“I know, my love. I know,” You spoke softly, kissing the top of his head. “So am I.”
“I just don’t understand how he could do that after what mom did to me. I thought- I thought we were brothers again.”
His voice cracked, and you could feel the first tear drops soak through your shirt and cool your skin. Your stomach clenched and dropped. You know Harvey and Marcus have been rocky for decades, but since he forgave his mom and started rebuilding their relationship, things naturally got better with Marcus.
So much for all that hard work. And you had been so proud of him for taking those steps. And you knew the toll it took on him. Now it was all back at square one.
“I am so sorry, Harvey.”
“What the fuck do I do?”
You paused for a long while. “I don’t know.”
When he looked up at you, eyes all red and bleary, you wanted to fly to Boston and smack Marcus yourself for putting Harvey right back where he was when he was sixteen. He may not have been the one asked to keep a secret this time, but he knows what it’s like to be in that situation. To feel so pinned and powerless. The looming decision of whether he should betray his mom or dad, a constant threat, and either outcome will ruin the family.
“Are you up for listening to my ideas or do you still need to get things off your chest?” All you got was a shrug and a few spilled tears. “Okay, there’s no rush.”
“I just don’t know what to do, Yn. I have no fucking clue what I’m supposed to do. I want to beat him into the dirt the most. I want to hold Haley and tell her that none of this was ever her fault and she is not the one to blame. Goddamn do I want to hug Haley right now…”
You had to close your eyes. You didn’t want to see Harvey in this position, especially because you knew what this did to him. It stirred up all those memories and emotions from decades ago. Now they were all at the surface, controlling every one of his thoughts. And there isn’t a whole lot that you can do to get them to stop.
“I think you’re angry.”
“You’re goddamn right I’m angry,” Harvey huffed, making you let out a weak chuckle.
“And I also think that I know you when you’re angry. And that you don’t think clearly when you are. So, how about we distract you for a while and then we get some sleep. Then, maybe in the morning, we lay it all out again and go over what we know. Look at all the facts and whatnot. Because, despite your very much warranted anger towards Marcus, he is still your brother. And family means more than anything to you, Harvey. I can’t let you spend the next thirty years in regret for not trying. You owe that to yourself. Not anyone else.”
“I don’t even know where to start with all this bullshit.”
“That’s where I come in,” You smiled, sitting in his lap with one leg on each side of his. “Look Harvey, you have every single right to be upset. I am pissed at Marcus for doing that to Haley. But I will not let this drive another cavern between you and him. The two of you have been through enough. He fucked up, and he knows it because you’re Harvey goddamn Specter and you told him he did. But you forgave him once. And you forgave your mom. It is worth a shot to hear him out, and I’m not saying it has to be right away either. Just eventually.”
Harvey’s brown eyes darted around your face, that tight line still on his lips. When you tilted your head and batted your lashes, he sighed out, nodding. “Okay, okay fine you’re right.”
“Of course I am,” your smile made him finally unclench the space between his brows. “It’s because I’m really good at knowing who you are, and knowing how to approach a situation. You’re good at being a kick-ass lawyer and I’m good at taming that kick-ass lawyer.” “You love it when I let that animal out of the cage,” he smirked, hands stroking down your thighs.
“If you refer to yourself as an animal in a cage again I will walk out that door and spend the night at Donna’s.”
“Okay okay,” he grinned ear to ear, pressing kisses on your cheek, then down your neck. “I’m sorry for being so… hostile. Thank you, Yn. For calming me down.”
“You’re welcome, my love.”
“I don’t know what it is that you do, but you make it all disappear.”
“It’s my secret,” you whispered, kissing his lips. “And I won’t ever tell.”
“I bet I could make you tell me,” Harvey winked and grabbed around your waist, taking you with him when he leaned back.
“Oh, is that a fact?” “No, but it is a challenge.”
He tangled his hand in your hair, bringing your mouth to his. He tasted like whatever cheap whiskey he had on the plane and mint. You let your body form to his and didn’t mind the way his tongue found yours. Harvey’s hands were gentle as they peeled away the cardigan on your shoulders, tossing it away to be picked up later.
He took his time, slowly stripping you and easing you on your back. You wrapped your legs around his waist and needed to have his mouth on yours again. He was such a good kisser. So thorough and precise with what he wanted to do to you.
And he was always very thorough.
Harvey placed kisses down your chest, down your stomach and to each hip.
“Babe-”
“Shh,” he hushed. “Just let me do what I want. You just lay back and look pretty. Fuck do you look pretty, my love.”
Your heart melted. Normally he had a wicked, dirty tongue but tonight was obviously different. He wanted something to focus on, and if that was going to be you, then so be it. You surely weren’t going to stop him from spreading your knees and tucking his head to your core.
If Harvey could do one thing for the rest of his life, he’d sure have a hard time picking between you and the law. While he loved his work, your mind and body were two things even the high of winning couldn’t compare to. Harvey loved you. Ferociously. With every part of his body he loved you.
His tongue circled your clit, and your hand went in his hair to keep him there. The laugh that tumbled from him was nothing short of star-seeing. One thing about Harvey is if you weren’t satisfied and thensome, neither was he. He loved making you cum on his tongue, loved how you tasted.
It wasn’t long before you warned him you were close, and he just hummed into you, vibrations making you arch up off the bed, tugging equally as hard on his hair as you did the sheets beside you.
“I will never get sick of making you feel good, Yn. I love that I am the one who gets to spend these moments with you.”
“Harvey,” you swooned, cupping his face to bring him back up so you could kiss him. Your scent was strong on his lips and made you only need him that much more. All it took was a few impatient grabs at his shirt to make him take it off so you could finally get your hands on that body of his.
All that time in the boxing gym surely paid off.
Harvey brough your knee up and pushed it flat on the bed, pulling the other one around his hip. He pushed in, chest to chest with you as he sat still for a few moments.
“I love you so much, Yn,” Harvey whispered, thumb training down your cheek, your neck. He slid it all the way down your arm and laced your fingers together, kissing them as he pulled back. He wouldn’t leave your lips alone, not that you wanted that in the slightest. He was all soft words and pleas of desperation. Telling you how good you felt.
It was like your wedding night all over again. When the two of you met, it had been in a fury of hands and tongues. All fast because there wasn’t a second to waste when it finally happened. But on your big day, he laid you down, just like this, and worshiped you all night long.
Every word from his mouth was just him telling you how much you meant to him, his body seconding that omission. He was so dedicated to you, to making you feel good. It was all long, smooth strokes of his body inside yours, the warmth of your combined breaths. Swallowing each other's noises of pleasure.
“I am so in love with you,” Harvey smiled. “I am so fucking in love with you.”
You couldn’t hide your smile if you tried. It wasn’t rare that Harvey was affectionate– per say– but this was an illusive moment. He wine and dined you whenever you asked, you were always his plus one anywhere in the world. But it was these small, yet enormous moments of intimacy that you cherished the most. This was a side of Harvey that took a very long time to bring to the surface. And he too realized the weight of just taking his time and being soft with you.
“I love you too, Harvey,” you whispered against his face, his mouth now busy with the side of your neck. Harvey couldn’t keep his hips slow for long, and they snapped to yours. Air pushed out of your mouth and right into his ear, right where it drove him crazy to hear what he did to you.
“Fuck, my love, if you keep making those sounds this isn’t exactly going to be how I-”
“Now it’s my turn to take care of you,” you responded, locking your ankles together behind his back.
A shiver ran through his shoulders and he dropped to his elbows, hips driving into you faster and faster. Harder. It didn’t take him long to reach his high, fucking you through it. His heart pounded underneath his skin so hard you could feel it. A slight sweat at the back of his head where hair met skin.
When he lifted his head, his eyes looked less… weighted. He looked much more himself. Muc more like Harvey and a little less like Mr. Specter.
You mentally patted yourself on the back.
There wasn’t anything you could do to convince him to not drag you into the shower down the hall. The warmth of the water, the heaviness in your body only made his fingers on your scalp that much better. He kissed all over, giving your ass a loving smack when getting out before wrapping a big towel around the both of you.
“Promise in the morning that we can do this all again and then I can make you a big breakfast?”
“Only if you promise that there will be sausage and bacon,” your eyes were droopy, but the smile reached them anyway.
“Good thing Postmates will go to the grocery store nowadays,” Harvey slipped one of his shirts over your head, straightening it out over your body. “You look so adorable in my clothes.”
“I know, why do you think I wear them when you’re gone?” “You wear my clothes when I’m gone?” You pff’ed out some air, “Don’t act like you don’t notice the suspiciously large pile of your laundry in the hamper when you come back.”
“I don’t think you know how happy that makes me, Yn,” Harvey’s smile was nothing short of pure adoration. He was never short on pure adoration when it came to you.
“Yes I do,” You smiled, wrapping your arms around his neck. “Why do you think I do it?”
“Because you know me. Really really well.”
“That I do.”
Harvey breathed out, shaking his head. “Thank you.”
“You don’t need to thank me for something anyone would do for their husband.”
“Well, in my experience, most wives aren’t nearly as observant or as dedicated as you are, Yn. And I want you to know how much I appreciate you and everything you help me through when I don’t know how to help myself.”
Your eyes melted, much like your heart when he hugged you. Nice and tight and just how you liked them. You always felt impossibly safe with him, and his hugs were impossibly your favorite thing in the world.
Harvey would listen better in the morning. Especially after a good night's sleep. You just hope that all your efforts will lead him in the right direction. And that direction isn’t the clearest right now, and that’s okay. Both of you know it’s okay to not make a decision as big as something like this.
But you know Harvey will try. And that is all you can ask of him.
Loveeee this!!
Overworked
Harvey Specter x Reader
------
You loved the passion your husband had for his job, it's what allowed you to be a full-time artist and still live a more-than-comfortable life, but a few times a year, he went through some incredibly intense periods of work that caused him to be working more than he was home with you. You'd understand and try not to be bothered by it if you couldn't see the way he literally worked himself sick by not caring for himself. He barely ate unless you reminded him, he would hardly sleep more than a couple of hours a night, and you could tell he was taking himself down the same path again.
It was one of the rare nights that Harvey hadn't stayed at the office until 10pm, and since you weren't a lawyer and couldn't actually help him with his case, you were determined to make the evening as relaxing as possible. He sat on the couch, a stack of legal documents that mirrored the skyscrapers he conquered during the day strewn beside him.
"Harvey," you murmured, concern evident in your voice as you took in the weary lines etched into his face, the heavy bags under his eyes that seemed to have made a permanent residence.
He glanced up, the weariness in his eyes softening as they met yours. "Hey," he greeted, a faint smile gracing his lips, though it couldn't hide the exhaustion that weighed him down.
You sat beside him, fingers tracing the tension lines on his shoulders. "You look exhausted, you've barely slept at all in two weeks... Harvey, you're overworking yourself."
He attempted to brush it off with a nonchalant shrug, but the tightness in his muscles betrayed him. "It's just a busy period. Can't help it."
"You can help taking care of yourself," you countered gently. "Let me help."
"I'm fine, baby. I'll be fine, just a few more weeks and this case will be over."
You sighed and sat down next to him, and leaning into his side as he opened his arm for you. You sat like this for a while, debating if you wanted to push the issue or just let him be, but it simply wasn't in your nature to watch him neglect himself.
"Will you let me take care of you tonight? No working, I just want you to relax for a little while. I can run you a nice hot bath and make some dinner," You suggested hopefully.
Harvey looked pensively between you and the stack of files, knowing he still had a lot of work to do but also knowing how drained he was. Finally, he turned to you, a tired smile on his face.
"That sounds perfect. A little break and a night with my pretty girl might be just what I need to push through the rest of this."
You grinned widely, planting a kiss on his cheek before standing to start on dinner and his bath.
A few hours later, Harvey was knocked out, snuggled against you in bed, having eaten his first full meal in days that wasn't eaten over a sink in a rush, and soaked in the chamomile bath salts you'd put in the tub for him.
You lightly massaged his scalp as he slept, happy he finally was getting the rest he desperately needed, and happy that he let you take care of him for once.
