The Brits red carpet look is so queer. Another callback to the Oscar Wilde gay flower, in a totally black outfit. It's giving killed dead. The straight funeral. Pure camp. As queer as the rainbow in an entirely different way.

Harry Styles: Venus in Aquarius
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🌐 Venus in Aquarius
Venus in Aquarius suggests not just a taste for the unconventional, but also a kind of emotional fluidity and experimentalism when it comes to relationships. This can be especially true for Harry Styles, whose public persona itself is a celebration of non-conformity, seen through his androgynous fashion choices and open-minded interviews.
Venus in Aquarius seeks a mental connection and values intellectual compatibility just as much as physical attraction. This placement also suggests a certain level of emotional detachment, not in the sense of lacking care or love, but in requiring a considerable amount of emotional and intellectual space. Aquarius places a high value on individual freedom, including the freedom to explore varying perspectives and experiences.
🦂Jupiter in Scorpio
Jupiter in Scorpio is a placement that is associated with an thirst for emotional, psychological, and spiritual depth. This combination suggests a hunger for transformative experiences that shake the very foundation of one's being. For Harry, this could mean that his romantic endeavors are not just a search for partnership but also a quest for mutual evolution. In relationships, he could be attracted to situations that offer more than just surface-level interactions. Instead, he might seek complex, multi-faceted connections that allow him to explore the darker, more mysterious aspects of love and human interaction.
🎭 Venus in Aquarius square Jupiter in Scorpio
The square between Venus in Aquarius and Jupiter in Scorpio in Styles' chart shows tension between two needs: the Aquarian requirement for emotional freedom, and the Scorpionic demand for emotional depth. Such tension could lead to a relationship dynamic where he finds himself constantly oscillating between wanting to explore emotional depths and needing space and freedom. This may result in alternating periods of emotional vulnerability and detachment. He might dive into a deeply committed, all-consuming romantic engagement, but later feel the need to re-establish his independence, leading to a temporary withdrawal and a restructuring of the relationship.
This aspect could make his romantic life somewhat turbulent and highly dynamic. The pattern of closeness and distance might be a recurring theme, where relationships undergo multiple transformations, either deepening through cycles of intensity or liberating through phases of individuality. This tension could manifest in relationships that undergo significant changes over time or in a series of relationships that each offer very different experiences, from deeply emotional and intense to liberating and unconventional. His choice of partners might also reflect this complexity; he may be attracted to strong, independent individuals who can handle emotional depths, or alternately, to individuals who are willing to explore non-traditional relationships.

Hello!! I briefly saw in your tags one morning about the flowers that Harry was wearing in the LNT mv. Did you ever elaborate more about the flowers? What can you tell me about them, if you don’t mind? Thanks!
Hi love!
I talked a bit about it here because it was the first thing I noticed, of course, its just a queer reading but I found it quite interesting that he was wearing the big flowers in three scenes, the observed bed/ the date/ the wedding. so it made me think of Queer Botany and The aesthetic movement in Britain and how flowers were queer coded in what comes to art either writing (oscar wilde, virginia woolf..etc) or visualized like paintings (Van Gogh's sunflowers) and decoration. And besides Lavender and violets were and still representitive for lesbians and sapphic women, the Pansy Craze well for ''pansies'' and effeminate men, green carnation is famously worn by Oscar Wilde as a symbol of homosexuality and sunflower and the lily were also one of the most recognizable floral icons of the Aesthetic Movement and their significance has a queer connotation through this movement.
and recently the V&A Museum did an exhibition called Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear with Gucci as a partnership, and on the finale of the show they had the Gucci ball gown that was worn by Harry on the cover of Vogue to talk about  gender-blurring fashion X
Tumblr media
they also have Harry as the background for the exhibition announcement on the website
Tumblr media
he is was wearing one of the now exhibited suits
Tumblr media
In the exhibition they also have a section called ''Queer Botany'' where they explain how flowers and botany, in general, was used to signal queer identities:
Tumblr media
Oscar Wilde for example was famously known for wearing the green carnation during appearances ''the color green and the carnation flower were queered representations of the homosexual “underbelly” of the Aesthetic Movement'' X
Tumblr media
and it makes you think of the big flowers or the lilies Harry was wearing in the music video with his date and on the wedding
Tumblr media Tumblr media
not only the Green Carnation was a representation of the queer side of the aesthetic movement but also Lilies and sunflowers.
for example, these two teapots satirise, mocking with their big flowers (lily and sunflower) tucked in their buttonhole and their limp wrists the movement, these two teapots were actually a satire with a criticism underneath it towards the way the movement was defining gender and sexuality, under the teapots is written “Fearful consequences through the laws of Natural Selection and Evolution of Living up to one’s Teapot'' portraying ''fears circulating in the 1880s about the effects that effeminacy and the blurring of gender roles might have on the future British population'' X
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the lily and sunflowers were sort of used to symbolize how queer people used them to reverse a heteronormative meanings of the flowers, and how they were used to gender bend what feminine and masculine means:
the sunflower and lily were typically ascribed to the male and female gender, deftly queers the sunflower motif as it also existed as an “emblem of aesthetic longing” related to both unconditional, yet unrequited love [...]
the sunflower and lily are symbols of aesthetic longing and purity, respectively (..) the sunflower speaks to unrequited love that “dares not speak its name” as Wilde is often quoted, or a love that could not find valid acceptance in nineteenth-century society. X
the lilies for example, through this aesthetic movement and the queerness that defined it, these flowers were queered enough to no longer mean traditional interpretations of purity but as a way to reevaluate the definition of purity and '' arguing for a perception of queer identity that isn’t considered “dirty”'' X
like the Lily, through this movement and the queerification of botany as aesthetic, ''the actions of queer couples could be and were viewed as natural and organic within this cultural subset. Natural, beautiful, and pure, the lily could thus be invoked as the apotheosis of the Aesthetic Movement, while simultaneously being a symbol and defense of homosexuality'' X
so yeah, to just conclude, I think its really interesting that he had the flowers (that are actually from the new collection of Gucci called love Parade) with his date and while officiating that wedding :)

Hey there. Can I ask do you believe Louis and Harry did initially have a romantic connection, whatever that might have been? It looks from your blog as though you’re not firmly in a Larry camp and do see this part of the fandom as disruptive and distructive!
I feel like this too, hence me asking. I do think they initially seemed super close, and that maybe something did happen between them but the aggressiveness of the Larry fan base kind of knocks me side ways! No wonder the boys are no longer pictured together and that Louis feels so protective and private about the situation. Jeez, it’s insane.
Surely we can appreciate them for their music and what they bring to their stage shows rather than analysing everything they do and insisting it’s all a signal to a secretive relationship.
I like to think they do privately still see each other but I think it might always stay private thanks to the over zealous Larry group.
Hi,
I don’t think any of the 1D members see each other or talk to each other routinely except on a superficial, “Hey how’s it going” level. I think Louis still has a lot of fondness for his 1D memories, but they are memories.
No one stays stagnant in real life. We move forward or go backward. Louis has said that each of the 1D men have found their own level of success, and at first he felt bitter comparing himself to others, but mentally he has moved beyond it (even if fans have not).
In real terms, Louis does not live his life thinking, “Well so-and-so got this magazine cover, played this festival, worked with this producer, has this type of fashion sponsorship, have these types of celeb friends, so I have to catch up.”
It’s clear to me that Louis carries on with his own life regardless of what he does or does not see- and 99% of the time, fans care more than he does. We’re often surprised by his next move because Louis simply thinks about his own future, which doesn’t include 1D. These guys are his friends, but only in the sense that they “went to high school together.”
As for Larry, I believe a lot differently now compared to what I thought even 4 or 5 years ago, when most of my fandom friends were Larries. Most new fans debate Larry as if it’s an HBO show— for entertainment value. I guess it doesn’t interest me that much anymore, since it’s pretty clear that it’s just people indulging in fantasy. I haven’t deleted posts from my old blog because it shows an evolution in my fandom journey… pretty crazy itself! I always say don’t believe ANYONE in fandom. That includes everyone. If you are interested.

Prince Harry’s Dior Shirt Is a Perfect Example of His New Laid-Back California-Inspired Style
Prince Harry stepped out in London wearing one of Meghan Markle's favorite brands.

Prince Harry Attends High Court Hearing In Privacy Lawsuit - Day Four
Belinda Jiao/Getty Images
It’s a big week for celebrity court fashion! While Gwyneth Paltrow dominates the conversation around her skiing trial with a series of runway-worth “stealth wealth” looks, Prince Harry is across the pond rocking some subtly high-end duds of his own to another set of legal proceedings. Harry is currently visiting the UK for a hearing on his lawsuit against Associated Newspapers for illegal information gathering, and while he’s been modeling similar variations of the same sleek, low-key suits all week, his particular choice of shirt on Thursday, March 30, caught followers’ eyes.
Photos from Harry leaving the High Court in London show the former royal’s jacket blown open enough that you can see a bee logo on his white collared shirt, identifying it as Dior. The Dior bee shirt is a cotton poplin dress shirt with a bee embroidered in 18-carat gold thread, finished with mother-of-pearl Dior signature buttons and a shirt-tail hem, available on the Dior website for $1,000. It’s also a perfect symbol of Harry’s new laid-back approach to fashion since moving to California.
During his time in the royal family, Harry had to abide by strict rules around style (though not as strict as those applied to Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton). His suits would reflect the formality of the occasion he was attending and little else, and Harry always looked like someone who was more comfortable in clothes he could wear on the polo field or out camping. Harry spoke fondly in his memoir Spare about shopping the bargain aisles at discount chain TJ Maxx as he grew up: “when they’d be flush with items from Gap or J.Crew, items that had just gone out of season or were slightly damaged.”
Tumblr media
Prince Harry flashes the Dior bee on his shirt.
LONDON, ENGLAND - MARCH 30: Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex attends the Royal Courts of Justice as the lawsuit against the Associated Newspapers enters its final day on March 30, 2023 in London, England. Prince Harry is one of several claimants in a lawsuit against Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Daily Mail. (Photo by Karwai Tang/WireImage)
Since he started dating and then married Meghan Markle in 2018, royal followers noticed immediately that his style was becoming sharper, borrowing more frequently from high-end designers and often matching her impeccable looks in color palette. As he and Meghan went on to exit the royal family in 2020, Harry’s style evolution has continued: The suits are fitting better every year, and he’s learning how to meld his love of comfortable clothes with a more grown-up look.
Harry has worn a series of suits and white collared shirts in demure blues and grays for his court appearances this week, but little touches like Monday’s skinny blue tie or Thursday’s Dior shirt point to the Prince breaking away from years of doing the bare minimum to dress appropriately and turning towards a genuine enjoyment in choosing his style, dressing in pieces that subtly scream quality while accomplishing the same polished and polite look that’s appropriate for these proceedings.
Call it the L.A. effect, call it the Meghan Markle effect, call it whatever you like—Prince Harry is looking good these days, and he knows it.

According to a recent Gallup poll, only 12 percent of Americans believe that life on earth has evolved through a natural process, without the interference of a deity. Thirty one percent believe that evolution has been "guided by God." If our worldview were put to a vote, notions of "intelligent design" would defeat the science of biology by nearly three to one. This is troubling, as nature offers no compelling evidence for an intelligent designer and countless examples of unintelligent design. But the current controversy over "intelligent design" should not blind us to the true scope of our religious bewilderment at the dawn of the twenty first century. The same Gallup poll revealed that 53 percent of Americans are actually creationists.
This means that despite a full century of scientific insights attesting to the antiquity of life and the greater antiquity of the earth, more than half of our neighbors believe that the entire cosmos was created six thousand years ago. This is, incidentally, about a thousand years after the Sumerians invented glue. Those with the power to elect our presidents and congressmen - and many who themselves get elected—believe that dinosaurs lived two by two upon Noah's ark, that light from distant galaxies was created en route to the earth, and that the first members of our species were fashioned out of dirt and divine breath, in a garden with a talking snake, by the hand of an invisible God.
Among developed nations, America stands alone in these convictions. Our country now appears, as at no other time in her history, like a lumbering, bellicose, dimwitted giant. Anyone who cares about the fate of civilization would do well to recognize that the combination of great power and great stupidity is simply terrifying, even to one's friends. The truth, however, is that many of us may not care about the fate of civilization. Forty four percent of the American population is convinced that Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead sometime in the next fifty years. According to the most common interpretation of biblical prophecy, Jesus will return only after things have gone horribly awry here on earth. It is, therefore, not an exaggeration to say that if the city of New York were suddenly replaced by a ball of fire, some significant percentage of the American population would see a silver lining in the subsequent mushroom cloud, as it would suggest to them that the best thing that is ever going to happen was about to happen: the return of Christ. It should be blindingly obvious that beliefs of this sort will do little to help us create a durable future for ourselves—socially, economically, environmentally, or geopolitically. Imagine the consequences if any significant component of the U.S. government actually believed that the world was about to end and that its ending would be glorious. The fact that nearly half of the American population apparently believes this, purely on the basis of religious dogma, should be considered a moral and intellectual emergency.
-- Sam Harris, “Letter to a Christian Nation” (2006)

I've been watching sporadic episodes of Mad Men and it never struck me before how noticeable Don's lack of fashion evolution is. Like seasons 1-3 all men except Bert and Harry pretty much dress like him but starting around season 4 (coinciding with the new firm and office, mind you) he really begins to stick out like a sore thumb what with his brylcreem hair and monotonous grey suits and ties while all other men are experimenting with bold colours and earthy tones, psychedelic and op art prints, loose long hair, facial hair etc even men older than him like Roger or Jim Cutler are more open to the new stuff.

Just like the anon said before why would he write a song about someone else and then put Camille’s voice note at the end? It makes no sense.
-Because he’s a master at deflection.
-Everyone agrees that most of the album isn’t about her (songs don’t make sense to be about her), so if we want to believe this then we have to admit he’s singing about more than one person who he’s completely torn up over. So there’s also someone else significant who he’s singing about.
- He always says his private life is private. We don’t know about it. So why is he going against that and making this one so obvious?
- He never says who his songs are about - even says I’ll not say who it’s about. Yet he’s saying this was one of his favorites on the album. So why would he go against what he’s always said and have a fav song that’s loudly invading his cherished private life? It doesn’t add up.
- They dated only a few months (publicly) all while he was on tour and we know all the songs aren’t about her. But why is she the one he’s choosing to put a voice note therefore putting albums focus on her? Who/where’s the other person?
-He says they went back and added the voice note at then end of production. By now they’d been broken up a year. Why would he go back to an ex and ask her for a voice note clip from a year before especially if he’s truly bitter over it? The admittedly jealous and petty Harry is going to ask her for this? Asking to put his heartbreak on a song that’ll live on forever and where he will have to sing it a million more times. Who would do this?
These are just a few things I’ve always wondered about the song that don’t make sense once you peek beyond the superficiality of it all. There’s so many contradictions to who he has always claimed to be it just doesn’t add up. Maybe it all adds up for you and that’s great, but I still have a lot of questions. It feels very likely that she was used as the muse so he could write freely about a real, private, significant relationship he’s been in that we know absolutely nothing about.
(Each one with their own opinion, I will just answer back, but it’s not my intention to make someone think like me, this is just MY OPINION!)
I really don’t think that it’s plausible to say that he exposes his private life with just one song. Even if the song is about Camille, you hear it and you know exactly the same about their relationship: absolutely nothing. He doesn’t give you details that might expose their life. It’s easy to say that it’s about her because everything in that song is publicly known. The influence in terms of fashion, the alleged accent, the fact that she has a boyfriend now, it’s not new and it certainly doesn’t expose anything. Harry has a billion songs at this point. Not all of them will be a really hard puzzle to crack on. Also, just because he was petty and jealous doesn’t necessarily mean that one year later, he still was upset about it. Maybe it made sense for him to add it because either good or bad, it was an important moment of his life. It also shows evolution. It might have hurt when it happened, but he was able to move on and maybe look at what they had with respect for that part of his life. I’m not here to support their relationship because live I’ve said before, I was never a shipper of anything. But I also don’t understand the point of discussing the origin of cherry. 🥲 Or a personal relationship that he has/had.

I think the popcast comment on how “the fashion thing came as a surprise” threw me for the same reason that I find a lot of the “queerbaiting” commentary on how Harry is “suddenly” exploring gender and fashion as PR irritating; I’ve been around since 2013, and it was long hair and headscarves then, then bits of removed nail polish, then flower patterned suits… If you google “Harry Styles 2013” or “2014” that’s clearly the same personal style and approach to fashion showing up then, too.
I have a queer friend whose a relatively new Harry Styles fan and who sorts of worries at the question that he's queerbaiting. And obviously I don't think queerbaiting is a thing. But I'm also like - you don't understand I was here before he picked up pride flag on stage for the first time, and when the remnants of nail polish were all we could see. I know for sure that this is something that is deeply meaningful for him and he's not doing this for show. Like I don't think that can even be a question for someone who has been paying attention over an extended period of time.
But what I don't have a good sense of is whether Kaitlyn Tiffany, who came into the fandom in 2013, actually believes that this came out of nowhere. Like whether this stuff was sort of discussed and noted and shared so little in the part of the fandom she was in that she's all like 'huh what's happened' at some point in the last few years. Or can she not tell a coherent story about his evolution, because of her investment in denying Larries legitimacy.

The Evolution of Fashion in Film: (Clint Eastwood, 1930-2014)
Clint Eastwood was an American actor, musician, and filmmaker who first gained fame after starring in Western films in the 1950s and 1960s. His breakout role was the role of Rowdy Yates in the 1955-1966 television series, Rawhide. However, his portrayal of Man With No Name in Sergio Leone's spaghetti western trilogy "A Fistful of Dollars," "For a Few Dollars More," and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" catapulted him into international fame.
Tumblr media
Other iconic films of his include "Dirty Harry" and its sequels, "Play Misty for Me," "Escape from Alcatraz," and "The Outlaw Josey Wales." In these roles, Clint Eastwood was positioned as a steely, stoic leading man. This is reflected in his character's wardrobes.
Tumblr media
The role of women in society was shifting away from that of the damsel to one of self-sufficiency and confidence. The role of men (as depicted in film) was static and very similar. The leading man wore suits, jackets, and rugged western wear. He should be ready for action at any time.
Tumblr media
Clint's look is age-old and preceded the 80s and 90s action hero trope. In fact, it laid the groundwork. Simplicity, with emphasis on functionality, was paramount. For a character to look competent, he had to have the perfect blend of ruggedness and put-togetherness.
Clint's capes, boots, sun hats, and simple suits did the trick.

Blowgun Weapons And Blow Darts
The soldier preserving us in his sights is carrying Russian army-fashion camouflage, however without any insignia. Two extra run as much as us a minute later. One has a Kalashnikov assault rifle, the other is also laden with a sniper rifle and grenade-launcher. I think they've quite overestimated the threat posed by our digicam crew, however I do not tell them that. It appears unattainable to refuse such an offer. We march on, past a few trenches. The people sitting in them watch us, wanting surprised. We enter a small, dilapidated brick constructing. There are some bullet holes within the walls. I say, trying to be gentle-hearted. The troopers then smile and put their weapons down. Things get somewhat calmer. We show what we filmed with the digital camera and open a rucksack. That morning we haven't recorded a lot - and clearly it is of no curiosity. But they ask us to wipe it anyway, just to be sur
Made from aerospace materials of the thirties, the automobile is clean and aerodynamic, small and lightweight, and one of the rarest classics of all time. In his pursuit of the "Top Gear" hosts' muscle cars, Ken Block drove his modified Can-AM Maverick. The Maverick will not be often called a supercar, but even in its unmodified type, it is very mild, has little bodywork to hold it back, able to going offroad at velocity, and with Fox Racing supplying elements, it's totally fast. What car did new "Top Gear" host Matt LeBlanc climb into as a passenger for his tour of London? Ken Block's drifting demonstration took the type of a tour of London, with doughnuts in industrial areas, racing under workplace blocks, and drifting around St. Paul's Cathedral to congratulate a pair on their marital vows. Shooting the movie didn't earn the "Top Gear" producers many buddies, but it is thought-about top-of-the-line brief films in the present's history.

What car did "Top Gear" take a look at against the TVR Tuscan? With the engine, gearbox and operating gear of an M3 of the identical vintage, the Wiesmann MF 3 seemed like a traditional British sports activities automotive but handled like a surgical instrument. Its implausible dealing with is right down to low profile tires, quick springs, and apparently, magic. Somehow it did all this without being uncomfortable. What Italian-made automobile with a German engine did "Top Gear" take a look at, concluding that it was wonderful however ineffective? Pagani's AMG-powered automobiles are amazing machines, however the Zonda R, the best evolution of the Zonda, was a breed apart. Costing £1.46 million and never street authorized, the made-for-the-track Zonda R was very cool and really uncommon, but in addition not authorized on most British racetracks because of their noise restrictions. What basic automotive did Chris Harris consult with as "this unusual object"? The Porsche Type 64 is the car Ferdinand Porsche constructed using a VW Beetle, the 'take a look at bed' as Harris described it.
In that point it has evolved as has its subject: vehicles. Petrolheads aren't the entirety of the "Top Gear" viewers, as "Top Gear" is a present in the beginning about fun, but the distinctive form that enjoyable at all times takes is fun in vehicles, be they vehicles, lorries, or even sometimes the occasional motorcycle. The brilliance of "Top Gear" is how they managed to make automobiles attention-grabbing, even to an viewers that isn't already fascinated by them. The informal viewer of "Top Gear" will, by means of osmosis, study vehicles in-depth in ways the typical individual can't imagine. How well have you learnt cars? More importantly, how nicely do you remember previous episodes of "Top Gear"? The present has featured dozens of automobiles over the years, more than one chief board for lap instances, a number of automobiles for interviewees to drive, and quite a few very low-cost cars the hosts put by means of hell.
What 694 BPH fashionable supercar put Richard in thoughts of the film "Top Orbi Gun"? The production supercar primarily based on the work Lamborghini did on the Sesto Elemento, the Aventador was Lamborghini's approach to a extra "balanced" supercar. Yes, it's stupidly fast, but it surely also handles, and brakes and is protected, but its top pace remains to be 217 mph, which is faster than its production predecessors. The McLaren P1 was McLaren's first effort at a fashionable, hybrid supercar. Its monumental 903 hp got here from a mix of a 727 hp V8 and a 177 electric motor, which means the P1's electric motor, on its own, is extra highly effective than some compact automobiles. When mixed with the 2.8 liter V8, however, the electric automobile made a monster. The Lamborghini Urus is Lamborghini's take on the family hauler. Possibly as a consequence of Audi's affect, it is refined, snug, succesful on snow and ice, and may even go off-road as much as one can in a automotive costing £159,925.
