Fun Fact
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
Haven't seen any posts about it but yesterday was the first day of session for PA state reps and Pennsylvania showed up to tell them to BDS PA tax dollars or GTFO of office
There were easily 200 people outside the building who led the diversion for over 150 people to get into the pa capitol building rotunda. Originally 126 arrests were made, but a state rep (from Philly) talked the cops back down to a misdemeanor
I just wanted to share because I've seen a significant decrease in posting and protests being shared on here and this was a solid day of action many people took just 24 hours ago
So I finally got word back from the patient advocate at Pennsylvania psychiatric institute, and he told me that they are going to continue refusing me treatment and that it apparently is not because I'm trans and the person who told me she wasn't going to see me because I'm trans is refusing treatment for me, they are claiming that it's because I asked for an anti-anxiety medication.
The doctor after telling me that she wasn't willing to see any trans clients responded to me asking for a PRN and anxiety medication by getting really upset with me and telling me "of course a queer teenager like you is addicted to Xanax. I won't give you Xanax just so that you can sell it or abuse it." Despite the fact that I'm 28 years old I didn't ask for any specific medication and I sure as fuck didn't ask for Xanax. She didn't like the fact that a queer person was in her office and so she refused to give me anything and made the assumption that I am in active drug addiction because I'm trans.
So just a reminder to anyone else in central Pennsylvania that Pennsylvania psychiatric institute or PPI and specifically Dr Passley Clarke are extremely transphobic and are not safe for people in the LGBT community to go to. If they're willing to discriminate against me like this, whenever I've been through all of their programs before and they're well aware that one of my parents is a disability attorney, they're willing to do this to anybody.
