Can I also just say that as a grey-aromantic, how is being greyaro/greyace or any other aspec label other than strictly ace/aro not a micro label or modifier. Greyaspec or demi implies that to some degree you experience attraction one way or another towards something. How does someone identify as purely demiromantic or greyasexual?

What I love about being aspec
The community.
The aspec community is the definition of warm and welcoming. We welcome pretty much everyone, ace, aro, greyaspec, allo but wanting to learn. Those with microlabels or broader labels, or no labels at all. Everyone is welcome, with cake and info pamphlets and resources you can use to make your own powerpoint presentation to come out. People are patient, answering the questions people ask and explaining everything unclear.
I love that it gave me words to use for myself. Reasons why I wasn’t exactly like my peers apart from the “you are just weird” explanation I used for pretty much everything I did. Thanks to knowing that I am asexual, I realised I am nonbinary/genderqueer and recipromantic.
I love that it gave me courage to make queer art. Both stories and pictures. I am more familiar with lgbtq+ community, which I love as well.

I’m the one who submitted the oriented vs. non-oriented aroace ask on the aspec blog and I just wanted to thank you for your input. The differentiation of attraction types are super confusing to me, and that’s why I was asking if my desire seemed reminiscent of experiencing attraction. It feels validating to hear that it’s okay to be confused and still feel connected to oriented label. I also agree with your points about excluding greyaspecs. It caused the need for a lot more labels/division.
Thanks for writing in! I’m glad to know it helped :)
