this is purely an appreciation post for the 2011 25th Anniversary Phantom of the Opera Final Lair Scene:

First of all, Sierra, Ramin, and Hadley are what make this so amazing. They all gave such a fabulous performance here, it is what makes this scene so so good in my opinion.

Second, all of their costumes are incredible. But, Sierra's christine wedding dress is infamous for being ridiculously heavy and difficult to move in. So, that just makes her jaw-dropping performance even more impressive.

Third, Hadley's faces in this scene are spectacular. Watch this scene again and just watch him the entire time, it's great.

Fourth i guess? wow this got away from me fast: Ramin just sells this character and this scene so hard. Like, I've never seen a better Phantom performance, and this goes for all of them. His acting is so thoroughly nuanced, and his voice is obviously phenomenal. He truly conveys this character in such an honest, realistic way. Also, how he is able to go from guttural screaming to soft, gentle singing will never be real to me.

To finish, "Angel of music, you deceived me," is my favorite line in the entire show. And Sierra delivers it so genuinely, it never fails to take my breath away. It is so good!

If I haven't made it obvious already, I love this production of Phantom, and I really like the show itself. It really, really has it's flaws, and don't get me started on Love Never Dies, but I enjoy it's music and it's story and it's characters. This specific cast is probably my favorite, but there are many others I also really enjoy. The 2018 Broadway Company is another that comes to mind that I also adore, with Ali Ewoldt, Peter Jöback, and Rodney Ingram.
