Poly+ ACOTAR Week - Day 3 Secrets (Feyre/Tamlin/Rhysand) @polyacotarweek
I'm weak for 'two enemies put aside their differences coz they love me more than they hate each other' trope and I was somewhat sad that's not where Feyre's love life went. Just think of the possibilities.

Omega Ours - Part 1 | Alpha!Cassian x Alpha!Nesta x Omega!Reader| Short Series 2.7k
After fighting your way out of every potential mating offered to you, your village sends you off with the High Lord. Rhysand, tired of dealing with the Alphas living in the House of Wind, gifts you to Cassian and Nesta in the hopes that it'll settle all three of you down.
Warnings: 18+ sexual content, language & themes. Omegaverse dynamics including Alpha & Omega and the sexist assumptions/implications that go along with it, heat/heat cycles, forced proximity, d/s themes, only one bed (and only one chaise), lots of tropey tropes! No use of YN but liberal use of pet names.
Divider by @firefly-graphics & @reveriesources

Part 2 | Masterlist | Poly Fics | Cassian
Tumblr media
The only way to describe the couple stood before you was - handsome.
The High Lord and Lady who’d brought you here were beautiful, elegant. But this couple could only be described as handsome, strong, Alpha.
You knew them, of course. General Cassian of the Nightcourt and his mate, Lady Nesta. Lord of Bloodshed and Lady Death, they’d called them in the camps that circled the Illyrian villages like pilot fish on a shark.
“I’ve brought you a present,” Rhysand drawled, pointing at you. “Well, it’s a favour and a present. The last unmated omega of the season. She's  from the Western Isles, I thought it might help to tamp down your behaviour if you two had a project.” He grinned and you turned to look at Nesta and Cassian again.
It was true, you’d rejected every mate offered to you, bitten some of them, in your desperation to get away, and that’s how you’d lost your freedom. Fighting the boys from the village was one thing, fighting an Illyrian was another. They’d hauled you into the camp in front of the High Lord on his last visit and demanded compensation.
Rhysand, ever flush with jewels and gold, had paid them and then had a set of cuffs and leathers made for you. Nightcourt black velvet, red stitching and silver buckles. But restraints were still restraints, no matter how soft they felt against your wrists and ankles. He’d had new clothes made for you as well, traditional sheer panels of matching blood red that hung in gossamer curtains down your legs, pooling around you as you were forced to your knees in front of the Lady and General.
“I don’t know what you mean,” Nesta studied her nails, her air bored but her eyes kept flickering towards you.
“Come now, Nesta, we both know you and Cassian caused quite the stir the last time you were both in heat.”
You were right then, you could smell it on them anyway, that raw power and strength that designated them as Alpha.
“Still -  you want us to take care of your problems?” Nesta huffed.
“Of course not, she’s a gift, for you and Cass, if you happen to tame her enough that she stops mauling my men then that’s a bonus.”
You looked between them, it was undeniable how attractive they were. Better than the mud caked idiots from the village at least, but you still railed against the hand that dragged you back to your feet.
Cassian kept his hand under your elbow, pinching your cheeks with his other hand. “Come on, Nes. She’s cute, isn’t she?” He angled your face up towards his mate.
Nesta shrugged one shoulder and you snarled, snapping at Cassian’s fingers.
“Feisty,” he gave a deep chuckle, “I like that, that’s how Nes and I got together.” He hauled you over his shoulder, your legs and arms dangling, the panels of your dress slipping dangerously.
“Put me down!” You beat your fists on his back.
“Should have thought of that before you tried to bite me,” he teased, jostling you.
You scowled at Nesta, who followed, laughing, through the halls of the palace and then tried using the only knowledge you had about the Illyrians. You reached out and grabbed his wing, squeezing as tightly as you could.
He growled back, the sound travelling up through his chest into yours, vibrating your very core.
“You want to play rough? Good.”
Tumblr media
Cassian shouldered a heavy door open and suddenly the sweeping corridor was gone and a dark, warm room wrapped itself around you.
The walls were an oxblood red with thick velvet curtains that lay heavily in front of the eternally open windows. The soft jasmine breeze that circulated through the house was mixed with the cleaner scent of mountain air and the crackling of a fire, rich and inviting.
The general set you down, his gaze travelling slowly down your figure. He clenched his jaw and then instantly turned to his mate, cupping her cheeks in his large hands and kissing her roughly. She growled in response, leaning into his embrace and allowing him to lift her against his body. You watched as he carried her across the room to an open archway, almost hidden behind a large tapestry, and then they vanished again.
Tentatively, as much as you could with the thin chain connecting your ankles, you crept across the room to the curtain, now brushed back and curling heavily on the polished floor.
Nesta and Cassian were tangled on the bed, the heady scent of their arousal lay thick in the air, the bedsheets already rumpled as if they’d been interrupted before, the room in disarray.
On both bedside tables there were stacks of books of various genres, a pitcher of water on one and dagger on the other.
“Either come in or go,” Nesta groused from the bed, hair messy, one of Cassian’s hands still tangled in the long golden-brown strands.
“Play nice, Nes.” The general laughed, biting at Nesta’s earlobe. “You can join us or you can sleep,” he said over his shoulder.
Sure enough there was a small chaise made up with blankets at the end of the bed. You shuffled over, and fell heavily onto the soft cushions listening to the sound of their love making. Each grunt and moan made you press your thighs together harder. Each stifled sigh had your hands twitching, itching for something more. You may have rejected every attempt at a mating, but you weren’t completely without feeling, without desire and needs and lust.
You lifted your hands to cover your ears, the chain between them digging into the bridge of your nose, and fell into a confused sleep.
You awoke to the sound of moving bodies and cloth dragging on the floor.
“She’s asleep, let her rest, Cas.”
“What if she’s cold?” The footsteps came closer and you tensed on instinct. The steps stopped, but a gentle weight floated down on you, a large cotton blanket, awash with their scent, settled.
“I’m going to wash,” Nesta’s voice faded as she walked away but there was no other movement.
“I know you’re awake.” His voice was loud in your ear, closer than you’d expected and you jumped again, almost sliding from the chaise. Cassian’s arm caught you, tight around your waist and his bareskin was so warm against your own. You cracked one eye open and looked around the room as best you could with his wings blocking out the faint candlelight.
His arm was speckled with tiny scars that twinkled against his tan skin, the hair that decorated his forearm was as dark as the long tendrils that brushed over his shoulders and this close, his chin almost resting on your own arm, he smelt heavenly. That mixture of his own scent and Nesta’s even stronger in his proximity and, no doubt, enhanced by their earlier activities.
“If you want, you can borrow some clothes.” His voice was a sleepy rumble and you resisted the urge to let your omega instincts take over and push yourself back into his chest, seek out that warmth, that comfort - but you didn’t respond.
The sound of running water in the other room stopped, replaced with the gentle pad of Nesta’s footsteps and then she was in front of you. Surrounded by them again you had to fight back every urge to give in to her wicked mouth, her lips plump and kiss bitten.
“We’ve left you some things on the chair, choose what you will. If you want to join us on the bed, you can.” Nesta moved away taking Cassian with her and you assumed from the gentle rustle of sheets they were back in bed.
The chair that sat opposite their grand fireplace was strewn with clothes, silky looking negligees and billowing linen shirts, some cotton leggings and a pair of woollen socks.
Waiting a moment, hoping they weren’t looking, you rose from the chaise and rushed for the chair. The translucent dress the High Lord had had you wear left your skin cold and bare, exposed and vulnerable. Cassian’s shirt was a welcome relief, covering your body from view, although the two slits in the back for his wings did feel slightly odd. The socks were warm and fluffy, long enough to reach almost to your knees. Redressed, you turned to return to your chaise and tugged the blanket up to your chin.
You didn’t really want to spend the entire night there, but you also refused to give in to the ridiculousness of the situation. No one chose your mate, or mates, for you and you’d rather sleep on the tiny chaise that allow anyone to take that choice from you.
Thankfully, Nesta and Cassian had turned away, the Illyrian’s large wings spread over the bed,. Shielding his mate from view? Or stopping her from following you around the room with her silver stare? You weren’t sure, but you were grateful as you closed your eyes.
It was only as you were falling asleep that you realised you were snuggled into the shirt, inhaling Cassian’s scent, and by then it was too late, you were tumbling into your dreams.
Tumblr media
The next morning Cassian and Nesta were gone, but someone had left a tray of food, a pot of tea and a stack of books on the table. The doors to the balcony were open and the jasmine wind blew the curtains back so invitingly you couldn’t resist.
You were halfway through one of the books they’d left, something by Sellyn Drake that had far more smut in it than you were anticipating. A slice of buttered toast was stuck halfway to your mouth as you stared transfixed at the page, when the door opened. Cassian held the door for Nesta, taking a long sword from her hand and placing it on the table that was perpetually strewn with weapons. His own sword and daggers followed and the two of them began to strip out of their leathers.
There had been a rumour that Nesta trained alongside the Lord of Bloodshed and the Shadowsinger, trained with other women as well, but you hadn’t thought to believe it until now.
Her leathers were tight against skin, a sheen of sweat making her sparkle, her long hair was tied up in what was now a messy ponytail and, most surprising of all, she was smiling broadly at Cassian. He returned the smile, cupping her cheek and pulling her in for a kiss, his hands wandering down to the buckles and clasps that held her fighting leathers together.
Cassian looked equally as powerful, his own armour dark against his tanned skin, his tattoos flowing under the leather before appearing again at his collar bone and trailing over his shoulders towards the vast wings at his back. You set the book down slowly, the lust filled scene already had you feeling hot under Cassian’s shirt even before they appeared.
The movement caught his eye and he turned, taking Nesta with him and pinning her against his chest. They way they looked at you, like the most delicious prey, had you pressing your legs together. You wouldn’t give in to this, especially not when it was exactly what that smug prick of a High Lord wanted.
“Good morning, sweetheart,” he cooed, “Would you like to join us?”
It was Nesta who held her hand out, crooking her finger to coax you forward. “We’re going to bathe, the tub is large enough for three, come.” It was more a demand than a question and, though you longed to see how far down Cassian’s tattoos went and how Nesta would look covered in bubbles, you resisted again.
With a shake of your head you went back to your book, trying to ignore the sound of them together through the wall.
Tumblr media
You fell into a rhythm, the three of you. Nesta and Cassian continued as they were, training, working in the library and attending meetings, and inviting you to join them whenever they were together.
Your nights on the chaise were becoming increasingly uncomfortable, but you refused to be worn down by their requests, preferring to stay silent and read alone either on the balcony or by the fire. No amount of reading could drown out the sound of their love making, though. If you could call it that, judging by the bruises both of them sported proudly and the way their headboard banged against the stone wall.
Despite your protests their allure was difficult to ignore, their playful banter, the care and attention they showed each other, even the way they whispered in bed, dissecting the day's events and, on a few occasions, discussing you.
This only happened when you were pretending to sleep heavily, breathing slow and steady as you wished for dreams to take you.
“Nes, did you see the way my shirt fit her today, rolling up her thighs-” Cassian had made a deep, guttural noise, only to be shushed by Nesta.
“Yes, Cas, stop, she’s right over there.” Nesta hissed in return.
“I know, God, she’s so fucking close, don’t you think she smells good?”
“You know I do.” The sheets rustled and you heard Nesta whimper as a wave of arousal flooded you. They could smell you, you knew it and you couldn’t stop it.
Sleeping in their room, bathed in their scent every day, surrounded by their things, it was like a huge nest and the longer you lingered here the more you wanted to give in and climb into their bed, to be between them and allow them to care for you.
Tumblr media
You knew something had changed when you woke up drenched in sweat. As usual, Nesta and Cassian had already left the room, your breakfast arranged in its spot, clothes laid out for you. They’d started adding some new things, items that smelt like neither of them, clean linen and lavender, but you were still drawn to their items the most. Perhaps, it was the way they smiled when they saw you cuddling into one of Cassian’s shirts or standing on the balcony in one of Nesta’s dresses. But you refused to confront that feeling.
Despite your long, cold, bath you still felt hot and uncomfortable. It was mid way through stripping off your linen trousers that Nesta reappeared. She moved with a preternatural grace that you were sure existed well before her sister’s ascent to High Lady. A smoothness to each turn of her hand, or extension of her arm, she made walking seem like a dance and you were transfixed.
Nesta stopped as soon as she saw you, her nostrils flared, almost imperceptibly.
“Are you okay?” she asked in that cool, silvery voice.
“Yes,” your voice felt hoarse. You barely spoke and had gone days without saying anything to either of them, merely existing in their presence. But now, locked by her gaze, there was no escaping.
“You seem -” she weighed her words carefully, “unwell.”
“I can assure you, I’m fine.” You took a half step towards the balcony doors, hoping the breeze would cool your skin.
Nesta hummed, surveying you from head to toe. “I’d feel better if you got into bed.”
You knew this was as persuasive as Nesta could be, a simple request made in the lowest of tones, an argument not worth having.
“I-”
“The bed.” She crossed the room swiftly and turned you towards the large, velvet draped bed that took up a large portion of the room. Since your first entrance into Nesta and Cassian’s suite, you’d done your best to avoid even looking at it. Now there was no escape.
Your hands were shaking, a tingling heat rising from your spine and coiling in your stomach. On this occasion, just once, you’d listen to her. “Fine.” With great difficulty, you pulled the shirt over your head and dropped it to the floor. You were so tired. When had you become so tired?
Nesta’s deft fingers grasped your chin, holding you still so she could look at your pupils, large and frightened. “Get in bed and go to sleep,” she insisted, and you obeyed.

The Story of Us
Tumblr media
Summary - After Nyx is given a school project on his family, the Inner Circles Quad is stuck trying to explain their love life to their nephew.
Prompt Day 1 - Beginnings
Warnings - Nyx is smart and sassy, flashbacks, kind of forced mating bond, jealousy and fighting, rough patches before a happy ending, slightly implied smut
A/n - Happy @polyacotarweek
This is based on one of my friends having to explain this similar situation to her daughters. We, as a society, could do so much for eliminating stereotypes in the poly community if we openly discussed it and normalized it with kids. Her daughters have been raised in a household with a Quad and see the love their parents share as completely normal, and isn't that such a beautiful thing? To be able to freely love without judgement.

Nyx blinked so innocently at you. His tiny fist gripped his pencil as he mimicked your blinking, waiting for you, Azriel, Nesta, or Cassian to answer him. Rhys and Feyre stood behind him with shit eating grins, waiting for how you all would respond.
The heir stared mainly at you, his damn near mirror image,  as you looked up at your older brother Rhys and then back down to your nephew. “Auntie Y/n, I need to know! It's for school,” his little face pouted, and all eyes landed on you.
You sighed, leaning your elbows top your knees. “Well, baby, I don't know how to explain or where you want me to start.”
Nyx huffed, looking at you like you were stupid and making Rhys further chuckle. “I know you sleep with Uncle Cassian,” the mentioned male spit out his water, praying their nephew simply meant sharing a bed and not other activities. “And Auntie Ness,” Nesta held no reaction, not even an ounce of shame. “And Uncle Azzy.” Azriel looked away, scratching his jaw line. “And last weekend when I came up to surprise you, all four of you were in one bed and Uncle Cass made me wait before I could snuggle, and daddy only makes me do that when he and mommy -"
Rhys covered Nyx's mouth, his own face flushed as Feyre's ears turned pink. “What he wants to know is how to explain the dynamic.” Since you know for our kind this is not normal, Rhys said gently into your mind. A three-way bond is rare. A 4-way bond is unheard of.
Azriel spoke softly. “We all love each other, Nyx,” he said it like it was the easiest thing to explain to a child with parents who enjoy their monogamous marriage and traditional mating bond, as if Nyx would just understand. “We all love each other so much, and we all enjoy being together. All the time.”
Nyx rolled his eyes. “I know. But how?” He waited again, brows raised and a small pout growing in his face.
Cassian smiled nodding to you. “You tell him, princess.”
You looked at Az, the smile on his face told every single emotion he had. “A long long loooooong time ago,” Nyx giggled as you held the vowel, “Your daddy and Uncle Cass brought home this weird,” a soft watch it came from beside you, “but kind of cute Illyrian, and I had my first crush.”
The quiet male standing behind Rhys and Cassian rocked back and forth on his feet as you looked at him. He was beautiful, all be it, awkward, but still beautiful. “Sis, meet Azriel,” you waved from behind your mother's leg. “He's going to live with us.”
“Third brother!” Cassian threw his arms up, yelling and then hugging the male with scarred hands and damaged wings tightly.
“Brother!” Rhys then also went in to hug him, rambling about all the cool things they'd be doing together. Hazel eyes met yours, and plush lips mouthed, “Help me.”
You smiled softly at him, offering him a hand and pulling him away from the idiots around you two. "Do you like chocolate?" He nodded at you, a soft smile tugging at his lips before it disappeared. "Good."
“They were inseparable after that,” Cassian grumbled. His tone was filled with old aching jealousy. “Unless Azriel was training or agreed to hang out with us. He was with y/n.”
The sparkle in Nyx's eye as he looked at where you and Azriel sat, lost to all of them as the male kissed your knuckles made Cassian's heart skip. “Did they know they were mates?”
“No,” Cassian was soft now. “That happened under different circumstances.”
"I've apologized many times, Cassian." Azriel stared towards the larger male. "Will you ever actually forgive us?"
"It's not you two I still hold anger towards."
Cassian had you alone. Finally alone.
You had been courting for months now, but every date always had at least one tag along. The kiss you two were in was frantic and heated as he held you against the wall. His teeth pulled at your bottom lip, smirking as you gasped softly and gave him more access to you. His lips moved to your neck, pulling the dress you had worn out of the way.
Cassian shivered as you whispered his name. Loving how he could reduce his educated little princess to nothing more than a girl desperate for his touch. You both jumped as the door slammed shut, two arguing voices carrying through the house. “Y/n!” You sighed as Cassian's grip grew tighter. “Cass!”
Azriel walked in seconds later, eyes going wide as he stood there in shock. It took him a moment, composing himself the best he could while looking just at you. “Your father is here. He will be coming to the house any second now.”Azriel's mind was slowly becoming a storm as he walked away. Allowing you to compose yourself before your father came and demanded dinner with his son, daughter, and their tagalongs. Your mother was trapped in Velaris heavily pregnant, unable to help you all, to help him. Of all the times for a bond to snap, it had to be while your legs were wrapped around Cassian, delicate fingers threaded through his hair.
You were downstairs, setting the table quickly. Silently grateful you had planned to cook enough for a small army to ensure there was food for Rhys and Azriel. You felt him long before he spoke. That dominating presence just sucking the life and air from the happy cabin.
“Ah, little star,” soft hands held your jaw from behind. “You smell..” His nose was in your hair as your eyes shut, sniffing it deeply to place whatever scent he had caught. “Interesting. We will discuss you degrading yourself late." A pointed look when Rhysand's way, causing your older brother to flinch internally before shielding Cassian from any attacks. "Serve dinner, y/n. We have much to discuss.”
“So grandpa made Auntie serve Uncle Az dinner? And Auntie was dating Uncle Cass?”
Rhys nodded from the spot he had now taken next to Nyx. “Yes.”
“But that meant her and Uncle Az were married now.” You all couldn't help but smile at Nyx's innocence of what had happened that night. “But that's not fair.”
“No buddy, it wasn't,” Cassian looked at you and Azriel. “It took us a while to be friends again.”
"But again," Azriel waited until Nyx looked to him. "We love each other. So we wanted to become friends again."
“What made you two friends?”
The question caused silence to hang in the air as you suddenly moved close into Nesta, seeking her comfort to stop you from crying. Azriel took a deep breath, “We lost some people, and Uncle Cass saved Auntie Y/n.”
"Like a knight saving a princess!"
Cassian scented your blood as the warriors ran to where the reports of a disturbance came from. It mixed heavily with the scent of soil, of your mother's blood, of little Stel’s blood.
He felt a weird pulling. As if something was desperately clawing at his chest, begging him to find you, and when he did, he went silent.
You were unconscious on the ground, wings carved from your back, bruising everywhere. He flew you to your father, growling as healers ripped you from his arms. “How did you find her before I did?” Azriel's eyes were cold, staring at him from across the room.
“She called for me.” Cassian refused to leave your side as you healed. He was the first to hold you when you woke up, the one to teach you how to walk again. As much as it had irritated Azriel, the shadowsinger felt it, too. A strained pull bringing the three of you together. Binding your lives and very souls.
“So the three of you all dated?”
“Yeah,” Azriel leaned forward, reading Nyx carefully. “And you know how Auntie Ness got involved. Does it bother you?”
A little lip trembled. “If you all love each other, how can you love me?”
Nesta was to him instantly. Cradling her little life line so tight. “It's different, baby. But there's so much love for you. All the love for you. We'd all do anything for you, Nyx. We all love you so so much."
You moved by him, too, kissing a small hand. "Some people have so much love to give that their hearts overflow, Nyx. Trust us, we love you as much, if not almost more, than we love each other." You kissed his palm again. "But that doesn't answer the question, baby. Does it bother you that we all are married?"
Nyx thought for a while, young eyes filled with so much hope and knowledge studying each of you. "No. It's my favorite."
Silence fell between the 4 of you that night. “Do you think he understands?” You were the first to break the quiet. “Do we need to stop until he gets it?”
“If we don't raise him with this being the norm, he will never see it as a norm,” Cassian sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. “He needs to grow up knowing it's normal for some people to love more than one person like this. Not everyone has one love of their life, y/n. Some of us get the honor of falling in love over and over again."
“I've never heard the full story.” Nesta moved next to Azriel. “Of how you three began. I have a feeling you left details out.”
You answered plainly. “Several fights. Verbal and physical. A lot crying. A lot of sex. Rhys yelled a lot. Like. More than he ever has at you. I got locked in the Palace by father at one point."
“So what was the final decision? What made two three?”
Cassian, you, and Azriel all smiled. “The first Solstice with Rhys trapped Under the Mountain.”
You refused to leave bed. Refused to eat. You refused to so much as even think about solstice without your brother.
It felt wrong.
Like you were playing this role of someone you were never meant to play. You stayed in his room, Azriel, Cassian, Mor, and Amren long forgotten. You had not spoken with your mates since Rhys left your head, whispering soft words of how much you mean to him, of how his greatest joy in life was being your big brother.
You didn't even respond as the door opened and the bed dipped in two places. “We miss him too,” Cassian moved his hand to find yours under the blanket. “We tried having a snowball fight, but it just didn't feel right.”
Azriel hummed from where he had moved to lay behind you. “Not just because Rhysand is missing, but our girl wasn't there cheering us on from the sidelines.”
“I'm sorry-”
“Do not apologize, princess.” Cassian laid next to you then, too. “If this is where you'd like to be today, we need to be good mates and be here, too.”
Azriel's lips pressed softly on your shoulder. “We were hoping Solstice would be extra special this year. Cassian and I have talked a lot, and we both think there's enough love inside of all of us to make this work.”
Your eyes lit up instantly. “Really?”
Cassian nodded. “I loved you long before he came into the picture, and I've realized slowly how much I love him as well.”
“And I feel the same,” Azriel moved a hand to rest above yours and Cassian's. “And I know you do, starlight.”
“So this is my solstice present? No more fighting?”
“No more fighting,” they confirmed together.
“Rhys would be so happy. I wish he was here.”
The two males shared a look. One sparing glance. Azriel brushed soft onyx colored hair from your face. "We do too. Do you know what Rhys would have liked for Solstice?"
Cassian kissed your shoulder, finishing Azriel's thought. "You to eat something."
“And then 50 years later you came,” you smiled so softly. “And you shook everything I'd ever thought about myself.”
Nesta's face flushed. “Was I?”
“My first and last time with a female.”
“Oh,” Nesta's hands played with the hem of her dress. “When I was human, I never imagined this. The first time I saw the first of you together, I didn't know what to think.”
Cassian smiled, “We're a lot.”
“It wasn't that. I.. Deep down I wanted to be a part of it from the first dinner. It was like-”
“You found home?” Azriel ran a finger down her cheek. “You sure as fuck fought it, Ness.”
“Because it was scary. Loving so many people so deeply is terrifying.”
“And magical.”
She looked at you, and nodded to confirm. “Beyond magical.”
“Yes. It is.”
Cassian smacked your ass slightly before standing. “Rhys said Nyx is going to say we all just live together and love each other a lot and he likes it.”
Azriel stood behind him. “Separate beds tonight or one?”
“One,” the general answered with a shrug. “We will see you two in bed.”
You both wished them goodnight as Nesta smiled softly into the fire. You leaned to her, holding those perfect manicured hands. She smiled before laughing out a soft what. “I know it's still strange for you, but it's amazing how much room we all truly have for people in our hearts, if we're brave enough to allow them in.”
“Sometimes my heart is so full, I just worry I will wake up and it's all been a lie.”
“Never, Ness. I have you. You have me. We have them. They have us, and the beautiful thing is that love flows freely. And it always will, so long as you wish for it to.”
“I love you, y/n.”
“And I love you, Nesta. Let's go to bed and hope our nephew doesn't make us look like heathens.”
“There's no one else I'd rather be a heathen with,” soft lips met yours before resting a forehead against yours. “You were my favorite to fall in love with. You know that?”
“Really?” The oldest Archeron nodded. “Tell me our story from your eyes someday?”
“I will.”

Just This Once...Right?
Rhyssian x reader
A/n: Happy @polyacotarweek day 5! I love seeing everyone's favorite tropes. My favorite trope is one bed and having the mating bond snap for one person and not the others then when it's revealed evryone is happy. I'm not sure what we call that one but enjoy :)
Warnings: some angst
Tumblr media
“The High Lord does apologize for not being here to greet you this evening,” Helion’s assistant, Lana, said as apologetically as she could. The female had no time for bullshit which included small talk and you admired her for that.
As she led you through the guest wing you looked around at the gold decor. The suns adorning the cream marble on the walls with paintings of Helion’s choosing. You wish you could talk to your friend right now. In desperate need of his advice. Lana’s commanding tone brought you back to the current conversation. “Unfortunately in the suite we have you in is one bedroom. The palace is under renovations, as you noted Rhysand.” She said dryly.
Your High Lord playfully rolled his eyes at her. “Were my comments not of the complimentary variety?” Lana let out a disapproving hum. As she opened the door to the guest wing you were greeted with a brightly decorated room. Soft yellows and cream, fluffy furniture accentuated by the golden sunlight coming through the floor to ceiling windows. Flowers that only thrived in Day Court soil in porcelin vases atop tables.
As you explored the room you didn’t hear the rest of the conversation until another fae from Helion’s court came to get Lana. “One last thing before I leave you,” Lana noted absentmindedly as she looked over some documents, “There’s only one bedroom currently so I will leave you three to figure that out.”
Before any of you could say anything Lana was closing the door behind her. You did your best to keep your heart rate down so Rhys and Cassian wouldn’t hear it. Throwing a glamour around you so they wouldn’t scent your fear and anxiety. “I’m going to go unpack,” you get out quickly, locking yourself in the bedroom. Your bags were stacked at the end of the bed. The single bed you noted.
Fantastic.
One bed and three of you.
It’s not like you didn’t want to share a bed with Rhys and Cass. That’s all you wanted, to be near them. To be held by them. As you unpacked you thought back to last week and why you’ve been avoiding the males out in the parlor.
You and Rhysand were walking around Velaris after a nice lunch. The sun shining and a nice breeze was coming off the Sidra. As you looked up at him you couldn’t help but let your love for him cloud your mind. He’s so perfect. You need to get over yourself and confess your crush on Rhys. The two of you have been toeing the line of friends and something more for years now.
The High Lord looked down at you, those sapphire eyes sparkling in the sun make your breath catch in your throat. You saw his mouth move but didn’t register what he was saying. Something inside you was singing. Glowing.
A string wrapping snugly around one of your ribs anchored to Rhys. The bond. Something you’ve waited for all your life had finally happened. Rhys leaned dow to peck your cheek as he whispered, “I’ll see you later for dinner.” He smiled, walking off to meet with the governors. Frozen in place all you could do was wave at him. Your mind racing.
Squealing excitedly, you race back to the Town House. Tearing through the kitchen you gathered ingreidentes to make Rhys’s favorite cake red velvet cake.
You were so focused on getting everything together you didn’t hear Cassian come in. He wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you flush to his chest swaying you back and forth. A small yelp leaves your lips, causing Cassian to giggle. “Hey sweets, whatch ya makin’?” Turning to face Cass you give him a dazzling smile. “Can you keep a secret?” Cassian returns your bright smile with a nod. Using one large hand Cass squeezes your cheeks, “Tell me sweets, what’s goin on?”
The words and excitement died on your tonuge. That glowing feeling you had just felt with Rhys you were now feeling with Cassian. Another golden thread anchored to another male. How could this be?
The blood rushed from your face. How are you going to tell them? This bond would tear them apart. You would love nothing more than to not have to choose between the two males. Would they make you choose? No, you won’t put them in that position.
“Sweetheart?” Cassian prods. “Uh, nothing. Just thought I’d make dessert for tonight.” You said flatly. Without a second glance you turn back to your ingredients, moving slower than you had before. Cassian didn't pry further after sensing your mood. After dinner you had went straight to bed not wanting to hang around with this massive weight on your chest.
Now, a week later, you had completly forgotten about the trip to the Day Court that you couldn't back out of. As an emissary and Rhys's third you just had to suck it up. It was only a few days. You could be normal about this.
A soft knock sounds over your aggressive slam of the dresser drawer. Cassian poked his head in as you pulled your black silk nightgown on. "Hey sweetheart, can we come in?" You hum in answer as you stride over to the bed.
You curl up against the headboard facing the males. Rhys sits in front of you while Cassian makes himself comfortable next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. You tense under his touch but Cass doesn't let up. Keeping you as close as you'll let him.
"We're concered, darling. You've been distant with us." Rhys reached out his hand to gently rub your leg. "We just want to fix what we did wrong, y/n. Please talk to us." Cassian rests his head atop yours.
Closing your eyes you felt a lump forming in your throat. If you opened your mouth nothing would come out but sobbing. "Would it be easier if you let me in, darling?" Sniffling, you nod and curl into Cassian's side as a few tears fall.
Feeling Rhys gently caress your mental shields you let him in, asking him to share the memories with Cassian. As they went through your memories they were hit with all your emotions. Happiness, joy, confusion, and sadness. At the end they both gathered you in their arms.
You started crying harder. Gripping them as if they would slip away. After a few minutes Rhys holds your face in his hands, brushing away your tears. "Look at me darling," he whispers, "We would never make you pick between us. The fact that the bond connects the three of us is so rare, it's amazing. There is no one I'd rather be connectde with in this world than you and Cass."
Registering his words your tears stop. "Really? You-you both want to be with me?" Cassian chuckled, kissing the top of your head. "Of course we do, sweetheart." You smile looking between them.
"I love you both, so much." "We love you too, darling." Rhys presses a kiss to your forehead. "Now lets get some sleep. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow."
"And a long night," Cassian teases, wiggling his brows at you. You chuckle at him lightly slapping his strong chest. Your mates move to leave you alone for the night. You fling out your hand to grasp their wrists. The bond urging you to keep them close. They must've felt your unintentional pull because they immediately came back to your sides.
"Will you...can you guys stay with me? I don't want to be without you anymore." Cassian didn't need to be asked twice. Stripping down to his undershorts and getting under the covers, pulling you to his chest. Rhys followed quickly, pressing one last kiss to your forehead before you drifted off.

Then There Were Three:
A Neapolitan Bonds Fic
Day One of @polyacotarweek : Beginnings
Summary: You are invited to the Autumn celebrations as an emissary of Dawn. The High Lord’s mate invites you to meet him after the party is over. Alternatively: The night the mating bond snapped.
MasterPost | Poly Week MasterPost| AO3 Link |
Pairing: Azriel/Eris/Reader | Rating: E🌶️ | Word Count: 4962
Warnings: heavy flirtations, slightly rough sex, Reader does panic near the end.
A/N: I did my best to be vague about the reader’s origins. I realized it leaves autumn out of her home court choices but you can pretend she’s from there if you squint and pretend she was raised elsewhere 😅

You grabbed a flute of champagne off the table in the corner and took a sip. Autumn champagne was so different. The breed of champagne fruit grown in Autumn retained some of the sweetness like those grown in the warmer courts. However, it had a crisp undertone from the chill air. It was one of your favorites and you needed to remind yourself to buy a bottle from the market before leaving the Court.
You looked out at the party taking another sip to steel your nerves. They called you the floating emissary behind your back. Not that you would deny that name. You’d made your home in almost the same amount of courts as your friend Lucien. You were no spy- just versed in law and good at making fair treaties. Thanks to that, you had a good reputation with the High Lords.
At the moment, you were employed by Dawn, sent with a few others to represent the court for the Autumn festival week. It’s been held since Eris Vanserra became High Lord but this was your first time attending it. The ballroom was filled with delegates and courtiers. There were also natives of Autumn, high fae and not, intermingling. The party continued out the door to the courtyard.
The courtyard itself was beautiful. The trees were so vibrant, more than the last time you saw them. You’d been here once before under Beron’s reign. That one visit was enough to have you never come back to Autumn while he lived. Thankfully, you never had an excuse to come back until now.
So much changed in the past few decades.
You decided you’d rejoin the mingling, maybe find a few other courtiers to chat up. You held your glass tight and went to step away when a tall male seemed to stop and turn to you. You immediately recognized him, his black hair and Illyrian wings giving him away.
“Lord Azriel,” you curtsied, free hand fanning out the skirt of the maroon dress you wore for the occasion.
“Just Azriel.” A smile ghosted his lips. His gaze never left your own as he asked, “I don’t believe we’ve met, Lady?”
“Y/N,” you replied. “Just Y/N.”
Amusement flashed in his eyes and across his face.
“And where are you from, Just Y/N?”
You knew in your mind that he was just being polite but your stomach still flipped on itself. If this was the High Lord’s mate and famed shadowsinger being polite you were terrified of what he could do when he was truly flirting.
“Depends. I’m a liaison for the Dawn Court, currently.”
“The Floating Emissary, I’ve heard of you.” His gaze raked over you and you felt your cheeks heat. “You’re much prettier than Lucien.”
“I would hope,” you laughed. “Handsome male that he is, I have to surpass his reputation somehow.”
His laughter rang out like a song. You steeled yourself again. The last thing you needed was the High Lord of Autumn catching you speaking with his mate and assuming you were flirting. Why it worried you, you weren’t certain. Possibly because Azriel was devastatingly handsome and easy to flirt with.
“Was there a reason you were hiding out over here by the drinks?”
“Taking a break. Parties require more small talk than some might suspect.”
He hummed in agreement. “Would you be up for a dance?”
Your mind seemed to stop working, trying to process what was just asked of you. You glance at the throne and the High Lord is gone. Part of you was disappointed at that. You decided to down the rest of your champagne.
“Of course.”
Azriel grinned at you. “I like your style.”
He held out his hand and you took it in yours. Your stomach flipped on itself again and the texture of his hand had heat flaring between your legs. You smiled and mentally shook yourself, trying to keep it together. Some of the crowd parted as he led you to the dance floor, though no one seemed to care.
“An Autumn dance?” Asked, his hand went to your waist and you inhaled sharply. “Or a Night Court dance.”
You told yourself the look in his eyes was just him being impressed. It was not the look of someone who wanted to devour you whole in the middle of the throne room with everyone watching. You watched his shadows swirl around your arms. Like they were studying you.
“Autumn,” he replied as the band started the next song. “Let’s see if you can keep up.”
You knew the song and took it as a challenge. Of course the dance he wanted was faster, and involved a lot of footwork and being close to your partner. Thank the mother your skirt slit, though hidden due to volume, was high.
“You must have a lot of practice,” you said as he guided you backwards. “It’s not the easiest dance with wings.”
He twirled you and pulled you back.
“It’s not. Nesta spent two weeks teaching me for my mating ceremony.”
Right. Azriel was mated to the High Lord. You glanced around, letting him guide you again. Your eyes widened when you made eye contact with that very male. He was watching you intensely. And speak of the Weaver and she shall appear. Beside him was Nesta Archeron herself, watching you just as closely until a tall Illyrian male- her mate, walked up beside her.
“Don’t mind them.” His hands didn’t leave your shoulder and waist but it felt like he’d gently tugged your chin. “They’re just enjoying the show.”
He said it as if he wasn’t doing a Fire Waltz with you. Thankfully you two were not the only ones dancing. You’d be mortified if everyone was watching. He twirled you again and pulled you flush to his back. You spent the whole time he walked you around like that focused on not letting your scent get away from you. Another twirl and you were back in front. You were imagining it, you told yourself; the slight sweetness of his own scent.
Thankfully the song ended. There were claps from the crowd for you and the others who danced. The High Lord nor Nesta and Cassian (you believed that was his name) were where you last saw them as you looked around. You thought Azriel would bid you good night, and part from you. Instead he leaned into you, and you held your breath.
He whispered into your ear. “A left from the main hall, three doors on the right. Be there after the party.” You could only nod. “See you then, Y/N.”
You didn’t exhale until he moved away, leaving you slightly dizzy and flushed.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
By the mother, what were you doing? A smart female would go to her room and forget whatever the Shadowsinger said. A smart female would walk in, explain her apologies and how she must go. The irrational part of you saw this as just an unconventional in for negotiations. It’s not bribery to flirt. Nor is it that unethical to speak in private with one of the heads of court.
You arrived at the door and could feel something like a tug in your chest to go in. Your nerves were getting the better of you. You looked down the hallway both ways twice. You could leave and write a note, explaining it’s improper for you to meet him this late. He would have to understand. However before you could make a decision the door opened.
In front of you was not Azriel. It was the High Lord, Eris. You’d never been up close to him before. The front of his long red hair was pulled back into braids, and his whole being glowing in his power. Amber eyes stared back into yours. You scrambled to gain your bearings, still too stunned to explain your presence. He raised a brow at you, expression like steel and your mouth opened and closed. You took a breath.
“High Lord,” you bowed. “Good evening.”
You straightened and you watched his gaze run over you.
“Come in, Y/N.”
You could have swooned with how your name rolled off his tongue. Gods what was wrong with you? He stepped aside and held the door. You forgot what you were thinking, stepping in past him. His scent made your eyes flutter.
You scolded yourself. You were a trained emissary; one of the best. Yet here you were losing your mind over a High Lord and his mate. Which said mate was sprawled out on a chair, wings spread and legs opened like he owned the place. He looked at you smugly when you raked your eyes over him.
“You requested to meet with me Lord Azriel?” Your voice was calmer than you felt.
Lord Eris shut the door, drawing your attention back to him. Even without the power radiating off of him, he was devastatingly handsome. He went past you and sat on the couch. Looking between the two of them; it was night and day almost.
“Just Azriel. Would you like a drink?”
“No, thank you. I think I had enough at your ball.” You looked at Eris. “It was very lively. Thank you for inviting us.”
Your subtle reminder that you did not come alone caught his attention. You could see it flash in his eyes. That didn’t seem to deter him.
“Have a seat,” he gestured to the chairs behind you.
You brushed the back of your skirt, pulled them forward so you didn’t sit on them awkwardly. You looked between the two males in front of you.
“Thank you for inviting me to meet you.” You used your most polite and naive tone. “Though I am uncertain what has warranted a private meeting.”
The High Lord and Azriel already had their own drinks on the tables beside them. The High Lord picked his drink up and took a sip.
“Azriel was explaining to me what a famous emissary you are,” he leaned back in his chair and crossed one leg over the other. “Giving my brother a run for his money.”
“I don’t know about all that,” you replied and straightened the front of your skirt.
“I think I do,” Azriel grinned at you.
The next few minutes encompassed Azriel listing out your achievements- the Summer Court trade route, for one. He brought the peace treaty between Spring and the Night Court. You argued Lucien did more work with that, considering he was mated to the High Lady’s sister. A few laws you overlooked during your brief time in Winter came up as well.
“Should I feel left out that I’ve never received the honor of you working in my court?” Eris asked.
“Are you trying to recruit me to be your emissary, High Lord?” You teased.
“You can rest easy knowing I’m not trying to steal you from Thesan,” he joked back. “However, I might invite you back more often if you can dance like that.”
“I saw you watching.” You crossed your legs. Unintentionally, the slit fell open. You ignored it even if the two males in front of you were eyeballing your legs now. “You’re mate is a very skilled dancer.
“He learned from the best.” Eris took a sip from his glass. “I almost married her for it.”
That you didn’t know. You filed that away in your mind to examine later.
“Don’t lie. You did that to piss off Cassian, Azriel countered.
Eris rolled his eyes. You wondered if you should continue the small talk or be direct. Both the High Lord and his mate seemed to like the direct approach so you finally asked them.
“Why was I really invited here?”
“You know why.” Azriel kept a heated gaze on you as he downed the rest of the alcohol in his glass. “I wasn’t lying when I said you were pretty.”
Your mind was telling you to leave. The solar courts were more lax but this was Autumn. If anyone saw you, your reputation could be ruined. But you couldn’t move with both very handsome males staring at you like they wanted to eat you alive. Situations like this didn’t happen to you. Was it so terrible that you were enjoying the attention?
“You can leave and neither of us will stop you.” Eris reassured you. “Nor will it be held against you. This is strictly off record. It’ll be as if it never happened.”
“As if staying is any better?” You countered.
“Do you think so little of us that we’d allow your reputation to be ruined?” Eris chuckled.
“A female can never be too careful.” You wished you had taken another drink. If only to give your hands something to do. “Do you always recruit a female from your parties or am I special?”
It was meant to be a joke. A tease really. There was nothing teasing in Azriel’s eyes when he replied.
“You’re the only one we’ve ever agreed to make an offer to together.”
Heat flared between your legs and you knew your scent betrayed you. Especially with that wicked grin Eris had on his face. You squeezed your legs together and barely kept your composure.
“What would you like me to do?” You whispered.
Azriel held up his hand, fingers curling to beckon you over.
“Come here baby girl and let me show you.”
~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*`*~*~*~*~*~*~
If you told yourself yesterday you’d be falling into bed with a High Lord and his mate, you would have laughed. Then you would have asked in what world Helion would agree to share his bed after centuries of waiting for his mate to be free. Falling into the High Lord of Autumn’s bed? Impossible.
And yet.
Azriel was behind you, kissing your neck. His hands had pushed down the top of your dress on one side so he could cup your breast and roll your nipple between his fingers. Eris sat on the edge of the bed, hands up your skirt and pulling down your panties. Once they were off he pulled you forward by the hips and moved your knees onto the bed so you straddled him.
You fell back against Azriel, moaning when Eris wasted no time slipping a hand up your skirt and pushing two fingers into your slick heat. Azriel chuckled at you, pulling his mouth off your neck. You reached your arm back, hand grabbing his hair if only to hold onto something. Eris didn’t even move; you rode his fingers, thighs brushing against his pants.
You whined when he removed them only to be silenced when he stuck them into your open mouth. You hummed against them, sucking on them. He didn’t anticipate you would lower yourself on his lap and rub against the bulge in his pants, by the groan he made. Azriel had worked the zipper in the back of your dress down and it was hanging limply on your arms.
“Soon pretty girl,” Eris said and took his fingers out of your mouth.
Azriel removed your hand and arm off of him and Eris pushed up your dress. Azriel tossed it aside just like Eris had your undergarments. You were about to protest, you being nude while they were not, then Eris snapped his fingers. The clothes on himself vanished, and you inhaled sharply at the feel of his bare skin against your own. Azriel was naked as well, judging from the hard length against your back.
“Nifty trick,” you said, running your fingers over the dusting of hair on his chest.
“It is useful.” He looked about as hyper aware of the fact his cock was pressed against your cunt as you were. “Who do you want first?”
“Depends on how you want me.”
They invited you. You were not going to insult one by picking the other first. Eris’s gaze went behind you to Azriel. He looked back at you with a knowing smirk.
“How is your reflex?”
His hand came up and cupped around your neck. He didn’t squeeze, just brushed his thumb against your skin. You wonder if he knew what a power move he just made. Surely he could feel how wet you were. Az put his hands on your waist, waiting.
“Okay, I guess.” You replied. “It’s decent.”
He hummed, removing his hand. “Azriel gets you first then. He can be rough and we don’t want to ruin that pretty throat of yours yet. Are you okay with taking me in your mouth while he fucks you?”
“Yes,” you replied very quickly.
“Good.”
Several things happened at once. Eris moved from under you and down the bed, while Azriel lifted you up with his arms. He hooked his hands and arms under your thighs and lifted you up, carrying you for a moment before dropping you back onto the bed. You screamed when he did that, which had them both laughing at you.
“Not used to being handled properly?” Azriel bent you forward over Eris’s lap, your hands propping yourself up.
“No.”
You couldn’t think of a witty response. Not when his hands were lifting up your hips to positions exactly how he wanted you. And Eris- the scent of him surrounded you while you watched him stroke himself.
“Open your mouth, princess.”
You opened your mouth and stuck out your tongue. When you did that, Azriel grabbed your ass and you felt him spread you open. He pushed into you and you forgot what you were doing, dropping your head with a moan. Azriel was big, you gave him that much. He held you by the hips until he was damn near pressing into your stomach. There was no movement from him as you adjusted. Until he grabbed you by the hair to lift your head. You were looking at Eris again.
He whispered into your ear, “open your mouth.”
You did so again. He let go of your hair and lowered your mouth onto Eris’ cock. He was big too. You went down as far as you were comfortable with and rubbed your tongue against him.
“Good girl,” Eris murmured.
That made you clench around Azriel. There seemed to be an understanding in that moment. When you bobbed your head, Azriel pulled out and slammed back into you. Azriel was indeed rough. He took exactly what he wanted from you, your whole body moving in time with him. Eris was stroking your hair while you used one hand to make up for what you couldn’t take into your mouth. You finally pulled off of Eris, salvia stringing from your mouth to the head of his cock.
“Touch me,” you turned to almost look back at Azriel. “Please, I can’t,” you didn’t know how to express what you wanted or why. Your hand still stroked Eris, your other arm starting to shake.
You felt the weight of Azriel shift on your back and his arm hook around your waist. You fell face first into Eris’s thigh when Azriel’s fingers found your clit. You even stopped stroking the High Lord. How were you supposed to think when Azriel was hitting all the right spots inside and outside of you?
Then Azriel pulled out of you. You yelled in protest- until he was lifting you up and spinning you around. These two males had to have a routine. Azriel put you right into Eris’s hard length like it was nothing. Before you could think, his hand was in your hair, pushing his length into your mouth. You could taste yourself on him and it made you dizzy. More movement behind you: Eris had shifted onto his knees.
They moved in sync, more so than before leaving you to sit there and take it. Eris lifted your hip up at a different angle that had you seeing stars. Azriel was gagging you and being just as rough as Eris promised. In no time, your orgasm was rushing through you with unstoppable force. Your muffled moans had Azriel spilling down your throat. You’re certain Eris followed and came inside you.
You were a wreck when they both pulled out of you.
“You did so well.” Azriel wiped the tears off your cheek while you caught your breath.
There was drool all over your mouth and you could feel Eris’s cum slipping out of you. You needed to clean yourself up. You went to move off the bed and ask where the bathroom was. Instead you pulled back onto the bed with an invisible force. You were held there on your back by your arms; shadows pinning you down. Eris snapped his fingers and you were mostly clean again.
Eris grinned down at you. “Oh love, did you think we were done with you? We’re just getting started.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
You waited until their breathing evened out before easing out of bed. Looking for your dress in the dark on wobbly and sore legs wasn’t ideal, but you needed to get back to your room before someone noticed you were missing. Samira would not believe you if you got caught sneaking into your guest chambers. You found it and slipped it on, fighting with the zipper and giving up when you got it halfway up your back. Shoes were next. Your underwear was nowhere to be found.
You huffed. The last thing you wanted was for them to find it and return it with a smug grin. You finally found it by the bathing room door. Slipping them on, you didn’t hear bed creak or the sound of footsteps until something whispered your name.
“By the cauldron,” your whole body jolted, heart racing. You turned to see Azriel behind you, thankfully wearing pants.
“Sorry,” Azriel chuckled. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“It’s fine.” You caught your breath and whispered. “I didn’t want to bother you.”
“It’s no bother. I can winnow you into your room so you don’t have to walk.”
“That’s kind of you.”
He put his hand on your arm and when you looked him in his eyes- your whole body recoiled and you inhaled sharply. That tightness in your chest you felt all evening snapped. You took several steps back staring at him horrified. Your hand went to your chest. You stared at him with eyes wide and he stared back in what you were certain was horror.
What just happened was impossible. Azriel was with the High Lord. You needed to leave. Panic ripped through you at the implications. It was not possible- you were imagining it. You needed to leave. You took several steps back, not looking at Azriel. Maybe it was just you. Maybe you lost your mind. It had to be. There was no way-
Someone was calling your name.
You blinked. You’d backed yourself into a corner. You couldn’t catch your breath no matter how much you breathed in and out. A warm hand made you startle; you focused on amber eyes staring back at you and it happened again. That sharp tug in your chest like a rope going taunt.
“Look at me.”
A soft but firm command of a High Lord you couldn’t ignore. You blinked and you were crying. Strange emotions that weren’t your own were overwhelming you. It was too much, the sudden wave of feelings hitting you. Something cold wrapped around your wrists. You looked down and screamed, shaking your arms when you saw black lines.
“It’s just shadows,” Azriel said calmly from behind Eris. “They’re trying to help.”
“It’s alright,” Eris whispered, brushing your hair back with his hand. “Take a deep breath.” You did as you were told. “Good girl. Now breathe out.”
You found your voice even if it was laced with your tears. “I didn’t. I swear it, I don’t know how.”
How do you explain that this wasn’t a trick? They had to think that. If they felt it then they had to believe you cast a spell on them. They could throw you in the dungeons for this or worse. What were the odds you climbed into their bed and- two tugs halted your thoughts. Warmth flooded your chest. You choked back a sob.
Eris sighed. “Az can you go get a calming tonic from the infirmary please?”
If he disappeared, you didn’t know. Eris dropped his hands to your shoulder and gently guided you backwards. Your legs hit the back of a chair; he gently sat you down into it and then knelt so he was eye level with you.
“I know this is a lot to take in. I promise you, we are not upset.” He took your hand in his and rubbed his thumb over your knuckles.
“I don’t understand,” you whispered. You swallowed and blinked profusely. “Aren’t you afraid I’ve placed a spell on you?”
You couldn’t say it out loud. Not yet. Eris laughed.
“We invited you to our bed. Was it that good you suddenly thought of a spell to cast in between orgasms to trap us?”
Your face heated at his remarks. Thankfully out of the darkness Azriel appeared with a vial. He handed it to you and you took it with shaky hands. You felt dramatic for your reaction but there was nothing you could do about it. Eris took it from you and uncorked it before handing it back. You downed it quickly. He stood and took the bottle from you, vanishing it into thin air.
“Well?” You looked between them after a moment passed. “Aren’t you going to say something about this?” You gestured between yourself and them, specifically pointing at your chest.
“It’s a mating bond, what else is there to say about it?” Eris replied.
Your stomach flipped at his candor and Azriel hummed in agreement. As if this happened all the time. Maybe they took a calming tonic also when you weren’t looking.
“How are you both calm? Mating bonds,” you forced the term out, still not believing it was real, “are between two fae not three!”
Azriel and Eris glanced at each other. Both of them had a knowing look. Azriel shrugged and Eris sighed. He turned to you, meeting your gaze again.
“Years ago we were told this could happen.” You blinked, something akin to shock washing over you. He continued. “We were told specifically that the light of dawn would bring forth a third bond.”
“Like a prophecy? That’s the corniest shit I’ve ever heard,” you replied without thinking.
Azriel bursted out with laughter. “I’m going to tell her you said that.”
You scoffed in response, uncertain of who she was. “You also said you didn’t plan to steal me from Thesan. You, High Lord Eris, are a liar.”
Now it was Eris who laughed. “Glad to see the tonic is working.”
If they had been told before- “So you knew it was me?”
“No, we did not. I felt a draw to you but,” he looked you up and down. “I think the reason is self explanatory.”
“My shadows took a liking to you out in the throne room,” Azriel added sheepishly. “But they didn’t tell me. The bond snapped for me when I touched you.”
Mates.
Mates, plural.
You had mates.
Realization sunk in and you slumped against the chair. You never entertained the idea of having a mate. For you it was an old wives tale, a fictional love story you read about in romance novels. Yes, they existed. But it seemed like it was reserved for High Lords and other important fae. You weren’t anyone special.
“I think,” Eris interrupted your thoughts. “We should rest. Azriel can winnow you to your room. We can talk in the morning if you are up for it.”
“Can I stay?” You whispered.
You had no right to ask that of a mated pair, let alone a High Lord you didn’t really know. However, the idea of leaving made you uneasy. Your friends would understand. Gods, how were you going to explain this? Yes, well a High Lord and his mate asked me for a threesome and surprise seems like I’m their mate too! You mentally groaned at how ridiculous this all was.
“Of course.” Eris pulled you out of your thoughts. “Azriel can get you a change of clothes from your room. If that’s alright with you.”
You nodded. This time you saw the shadows envelop Azriel. It was amazing to watch him disappear almost into a puff of smoke. However, that left you alone with Eris. Not that you cared. The potion was deeply in effect. You realized he was shirtless and your gaze ran over his bare chest and arms.
“We have a guest bed you can sleep in.” You looked up to see Eris with a slight smirk on his face.
“A guest bed?” You furrowed your brows. “In your own chambers?”
“Az’s wings are sensitive. Sometimes he doesn’t like to share a bed.” He paused. “I know I speak for us both that while this isn’t an ideal situation, we would like to get to know you. If you wish.”
“Are you asking for permission to court me, High Lord?” That did something for him because you could feel it before he shut it down. “I need to process it, I think.”
“That’s reasonable.” He gave you a soft smile.
You didn’t have to wait awkwardly for long as Azriel returned quickly with your bag. There was indeed a guest room right next to the High Lord’s bedroom, which still shocked you. As surreal as the past few minutes were, you were exhausted. You bid them an awkward good night and when Eris shut the door and you swore you heard him whisper something to Azriel, about how they owed his sister-in-law a lengthy apology.

Poly+ ACOTAR Week 2024 - Day 1 (Beginnings)
Cazriel x Healer Reader
Summary: Azriel rescues Reader and takes her back to the Night Court.
Pairing Masterlist
Wordcount: 2.4K
Warnings: mentions of violence; kidnapping; injuries.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚:
You first met Azriel while he was spying on the human queens in the mortal realm.
The queens had captured you from the small village in Spring where you worked as a healer and were now holding you to study your magic - attempting to harness it for themselves.
Azriel had infiltrated their dungeons and was sneaking through the lower levels when he saw you. You were curled up on the rough stone floor of the cold, dim cell.
Azriel’s shadows whispered that you were covered in injuries - all at various stages of healing where they’d beaten you and taken samples of your blood and tissue.
When Azriel scented your fae heritage, he knew he couldn’t leave you there. He didn’t care if it ruined his mission. He knew what it felt like to be caged, he couldn’t leave anyone else to that fate.
Your eyes flutter open as a tall male shrouded in shadows, approaches the iron bars. He speaks to you in a calm and deep voice, “I’m going to get you out of here.”
You nod at the male, too weak to talk.
Azriel’s shadows allow him to slip into your cell easily, and just as easily winnow you away. He scoops you up, your body so frail in his arms, and he allows his shadows to envelop you both. He transports you to the River House where Rhys and Madja are expecting you.
————
Reader
The cool wisps of darkness wrap around you, soothing your many open wounds as your cell disappears into the black. The shadows disperse and you find yourself in a charming living room. The sun streams in through the open curtains, so bright you have to cover your eyes as they adjust.
You can’t remember the last time you felt the warmth of the sun on your skin.
You lower your hands to find two fae standing before you - a tall, handsome male with black hair and an ancient healer with a kind face.
You can feel the healer’s magic pulsing towards you as your legs give out beneath you. You feel strong hands catch you and the world around you fades into nothing.
————
Azriel
Madja tuts as she examines the female. “She’s a healer. They’ve been using faebane to slow her abilities. She’s lost so much blood, it looks like they’ve been extracting it - Mother knows what they plan to do with it. Praise the Cauldron that you got her out safely.”
Azriel looks over the female’s emaciated body, covered in wounds and bruises, and asks Madja, “Is she going to be okay?”
“Yes, she will be. I just have to flush the last of the faebane out of her system, then her magic will do the rest.”
Azriel nods and looks up at Rhys. “I know I ruined the mission, but if they were using her blood - who knows what their plans are.”
“You disobeyed an order and revealed that their wards can be breached. You know what situation this puts us in,” Rhys sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. “But, this is bad news. Whatever they planned to do - I’m glad you rescued her.”
Azriel pauses, he expected to argue with his High Lord, but he didn’t expect his support.
“Come to my office and you can give me the full report. Madja will see to the female,” Rhys says, nodding at Madja as he turns and exits the room.
Azriel is torn between not wanting to leave the female on her own, and not wanting to disobey Rhys any further. Azriel doesn’t know her name, but he leaves her in Madja’s capable hands as he follows Rhys down the hall.
————
Reader
You awake to the sound of birds chirping and wind rustling through long grass. You glance around, taking in your surroundings. You recognise this place - it’s the meadow near your village.
‘How did I get here?’
A spring breeze caresses your senses, filling your nose with the scent of lilacs and fresh grass; the scent of home.
You walk through the meadow, and the grass withers and dies under each step. The shrill laughter of the human queens rings in your ears. Your heart pounds and adrenaline courses through you as you turn around, frantically searching for your captors.
With no one in sight, you sprint to the edge of the meadow where the trees will provide you with some cover.
You lean against a tall oak to catch your breath only to find it’s not real, and you fall to the floor. The illusion shatters and you’re back in your cell in the mortal realm.
You cry out, rattling the iron bars like a caged beast. You can taste your freedom on the tip of your tongue.
Feeling hopeless, you curl up against the stone wall, trying to find some warmth in the dark, damp place.
You see a figure approaching you, A winged male shrouded in shadows, reaching out his hand to you.
You crawl, trying to take hold of it but he’s too far from your reach. He slips away from you and fades away into the dark.
————
Your eyes open hesitantly and you try to make out where you are. You don’t recognise the room, but it’s not your cell.
You can’t tell if you were still among the living, or if you’d finally succumbed to your injuries and blood loss. Did you dream up the mysterious winged male? Did he save you? Or was he an angel of death sent to accompany you to the next life?
You sit up only for a splitting pain to shoot down the side of your abdomen, and a broken cry tears from your lips.
Pain. You are very much alive.
Wincing, you peel back the covers to inspect your body. Most of your wounds have healed, leaving only faint yellow-green bruises. Jagged silver scars fleck your skin as far as you can see, all various sizes. Whatever the queens did to you left a mark. Marks that your magic couldn’t heal.
A soft knock at the door grabs your attention. “Come in,” you croak, your voice hoarse with disuse. You look up as a dark stranger slowly opens the door. Your saviour.
“I heard you were awake,” he says softly.
“How long have I been out?” you ask.
“Two weeks.”
It’s a long time, but you’d been in that cell for months. Two weeks was nothing.
“Do you have any family we can contact, to let know you’re safe?”
You had no more family, they were all killed during the conflict with Hybern. There was no one to miss you so you simply shook your head at the male.
“Madja, our healer, said they’d used faebane on you to prevent your healing. She’s on her way to check on you now that you’re awake.”
“Thank you,” you say. It’s not enough, but you’re too tired to say anything more.
“I’m Azriel,” He says. “What’s your name?”
“It’s Y/N.”
Sensing you don’t want to talk, Azriel nods and exits the room as Madja enters with her supplies.
————
Madja ordered you to remain in bed for another week. She arranged for all your meals and medicines to be delivered to the room with magic. You hadn’t seen another person aside from her and Azriel since you woke, but even with the added comforts - you were feeling as confined by the bedroom as you had your cell.
By the third day, you’d had enough, so you decided to explore the house.
You get up, no longer wincing in pain thanks to Madja’s tonics, and make your way across your bedroom to the closet. You didn’t expect there to be clothes for you, but it was worth a look for something other than the silk nightgown you were currently wearing.
There wasn’t much clothing of use to you. There was a fair amount made from black leather, but nothing that seemed comfortable in your current state. You did find a robe, so you could at least cover up before potentially running into someone else.
You exit the bedroom and walk down the red stone hallway into a large open dining room.
Inside, Azriel is sitting at the table having breakfast with another male. They have the same broad leathery wings topped with great talons. This new male has longer hair, pulled back into a small bun on the back of his head.
Azriel watches you enter the room as if he knew you were coming. “You’re up,” he states bluntly.
“If I have to spend another day in that room, I will lose my mind,” you reply.
“Fair enough,” Azriel shrugs. “ Are you hungry?”
“Yes, very,” you say.
In an instant, a late plate appears on the table with a full breakfast. You take a seat next to the other male and start cutting up your food.
The male turns to you and says, “I’m Cassian by the way, I live here with Azriel. I’m Rhys’s general.”
You pause before taking a bite to ask, “Who’s Rhys?”
“You may not remember, but he greeted us when we got back here from the mortal lands,” Azriel explains. “He’s the High Lord of the Night Court.”
You look back and forth between Azriel and Cassian with wide eyes as the realisation of who they are dawns on you.
“You are… This is… Oh gods,” you exclaim.
Living in the Spring Court, you’ve heard the stories about the Lord of Night and his inner circle - none of them good. But, they certainly didn’t match the males sitting before you.
Your thoughts are interrupted by the loud gurgling of your stomach growing impatient for food.
“Eat,” Cassian says, a concerned look on his face, “You must be starving.”
“You don’t have to be worried, you’re a guest here,” Azriel chimes in.
You nod and tuck into your food.
When the first bite hits your tongue you moan softly. After being fed mortal food for months, even the bland food Madja was giving you had been an improvement. But this? All etiquette was forgotten as you shovelled more and more food down.
Your magic was using a lot of energy to heal all your injuries, so you easily polished off the large plate. You noticed Cassian staring at you with a slight smirk on his face. “Something wrong?” you question.
Cassian laughs and shakes his head, “No, I just haven’t seen a female eat like that before.”
Your cheeks heat with embarrassment.
“Oh no, I’m impressed,” Cassian reassures you with a wink.
You roll your eyes and shake your head, laughing. ‘Typical male.’
“If you’re feeling up to it, Y/N, Rhys would like to speak to you,” Azriel states.
You look down at your attire and grimace. “May I have something else to wear?”
“Angel, I think you look great in that,” Cassian says, causing you to raise an eyebrow at him, “But we can find something else.”
————
After some searching, Azriel found a simple day dress in one of the other rooms. There was a slit on the side that showed more skin than you preferred, and the colour was not one you’d ever worn - a deep navy like the night sky.
It was still an improvement to the nightgown, so you changed and freshened up before returning to the dining room to meet Azriel and Cassian.
Cassian gave you a wolfish grin and asked, “Y/N, have you ever flown before?”
————
You were sure your screams could be heard all over Prythian as you soared through the sky in Azriel’s arms. You kept yourself tucked in close to his chest, so close you could feel the vibrations of his laugh when you screamed.
He touched down on the ground very smoothly and gently placed you on your feet. He held your hands for a moment to steady you.
Cassian landed beside you, a wide smile on his face. “Seeing someone fly for the first time will never get old,” he laughs.
You turn to follow the two males towards the manor when Rhysand, the High Lord of the Night Court, appears in the doorway.
“I could hear screaming from the other side of Velaris,” Rhys laughs. “Nice to see you up and about, Y/N, please come inside.”
Once in his office, Rhys sits behind the large mahogany desk. You sit in the chair across from him while Cassian and Azriel stand behind you.
“Welcome to the Night Court, I must say it suits you,” Rhys says, flashing a feline grin. “I was hoping you could shed some light on what happened in the mortal realm. Any information you can provide will help us in stopping the queens. I’m a daemati, so with your permission, may I look inside your mind?”
You pause, wondering why he bothered to ask. ‘At least he’s polite about it.’ You nod and take a deep breath before allowing the High Lord into your mind.
You feel him sifting through your memories. Of years spent working in a village on the border of the Spring Court and the mortal lands, helping with war efforts. Of you being captured and the queens ordering experiments to be performed on you. From what you overheard in the dungeons, they were trying to figure out a way to use the magic to become immortal.
“Thank you, Y/N. This information will be very helpful. I also have a proposition for you. You can say no, but I believe your powers would be invaluable to my court. I’d like to offer you a permanent role here as a healer.”
“Thank you, my Lord, it’s an honour but I will have to think about it.”
“Please, call me Rhys. And of course. We can discuss the details once you’ve fully recovered. If you’re up to it, Azriel and Cassian can show you the city this afternoon.”
“I’d like that a lot, Rhys, Thank you.” You nod farewell to the High Lord, standing to face Azriel and Cassian. You give them a broad smile, “Shall we go?”
The three of you exit the manor and enter the streets of Velaris. Despite your injuries, you have a skip in your step as you walk along the winding paths. You feel oddly at ease with the two males and you can’t contain your excitement over your newfound freedom, over your fresh start.

taking a vacation with feysand and/or nessian
poly!feysand x reader & poly!nessian x reader
summary: for poly!acotar week day 4, adventure
warnings: none, very brief suggestiveness
a/n: look ... I messed up the dates and it might be barely but I still made it. here's some drabbles/ headcannons!
poly!Nessian x Reader
Perhaps surprisingly, Cassian insisted on planning it all as well as keeping it a surprise. Normally, he’d give in to either of you with enough pestering, but this time he was an iron wall, not a single clue or hint given to either of you.
He pinched his thumb and forefinger together before drawing them across his lips, even miming tossing a key over his shoulder. You rolled your eyes, but a fond smile crept on to your lips.  “What if I promise not to tell Nes?” He snorted, and you lifted and dropped your shoulders. It was worth a try - but they both knew you were terrible at keeping secrets from either of them.  "It was worth a shot," you mumbled, redirecting your attention to the book on your lap. A shadow covered you, two fingers tilting your chin up. He pressed a kiss against your forehead, chapped lips lingering for a few seconds. "It'll be worth the wait," he reassured, confidence flowing through every word, not a hint of bullshit. Your eyes narrowed, but you gave a nod. Seemingly content, Cassian placed a too-brief kiss to your lips before making his way out of the room.
Nesta was a tad anxious over how his planning would turn out
“It’s not if it’ll be a disaster, it’s how much of a disaster.”  “Have a little more faith in him,” you chastised, quickly looking away as she turned her glare on you.  “We don’t get much … time free together,” Nesta sighed, and you carefully covered her hand with your own. “I want everything to go well.”  “We’ll be together,” you insisted. “That’s good enough for me.”  Her mouth curved at one corner, a grateful look shot your way, her hand turning up so your palms met, her fingers wrapping around yours and squeezing.
Cassian was impressed with himself, and firmly believed he had every right to be. He hoped both of you would as well. Mother above, he’d sworn an oath to Tarquin for this.
“The blindfold is a little extreme,” you grumbled, fidgeting with the cloth knot at the back of your head. Cassian gently swatted your hand down.  “We’re almost there.”  Nesta was quiet next to you, her hand steady in yours, but you could nearly taste the anxious energy rolling from her. You gave her what you hoped was a comforting squeeze.  Salt, and sea, and sand hit you at once, along with a scent distinct to one place …  The knot loosened at the back of your head and you tore the cloth off, rapidly taking in your surroundings. You weren’t in Adriata, but it was unmistakably the summer court.  “Cassian,” you hissed, “you’re banned, for life.”  “I promise we’re fine,” he grinned, and produced a paper from his pocket, holding it out to you with a flourish. Nesta peered over your shoulder as you carefully unraveled it. A letter - attesting Cassian and company were allowed to access this beach and a rental vacation home for the next seven days, signed by Tarquin himself.
poly!Feysand x Reader
Feyre and Rhys argued over where to take you - in their minds, of course. It seemed the only thing they could agree on was to keep it a surprise. You watched them, eyes glazed, but lips pursed - obviously in some kind of mental argument with each other. A crease formed between Feyre's brow, Rhys's lips pressing into a tight line. You didn't like that. Especially considering you were nearly certain it was related to you somehow, otherwise they would've spoken aloud. Clearing your throat, you tried your best to get their attention. Nothing. "Right, I'm heading out," you finally called. Still no response. The sting and small sense of hurt came naturally, and you let the door slam behind you a little louder than you usually would. Rhys's muffled voice came after the slam but you were already out the door. "I'll make it up to you later, darling," Rhys's voice slid into your mind, smooth and full of promise. "I'll look forward to it," you didn't know if it was possible for your voice to be breathy in your own head, but you certainly gave your best impression of it.
Feyre packed for you, of course.
You perched on the edge of the bed as Feyre started rummaging through the drawers. First, she picked up a sundress with thin straps and flowing fabric that would just brush the middle of your thighs - ideal for hot weather. Next came a thick woolen cloak. You tilted your head, catching her eye in the mirror. "How many places are we going?" "Oh," she carefully folded a long sleeved shirt, "just one." Your mouth parted, but she answered the next question for you. "We can't have you spoiling the surprise." A laugh bubbled from your chest. Their secrecy had only made you more determined in turn, and it turned into something of a game for you over the last week.
Rhys had scouted the location no less than six times in the week before, Feyre accompanying him for a few of the trips. He knew it was safe, but with you he had to be certain.
Your back pressed against his chest, his hand covering your eyes, you winnowed - holding your breath at the sensation that never quite felt comfortable. As soon as you hit solid ground, you attempted to peel his fingers away from your eyes, but his grip was firm. "Rhys," you hissed, and he laughed but released you. Jaw dropping, you spun in a circle. Feyre stood with her hands clasped in front of her, shifting back and forth. An island. "Where," you cleared your throat, "where are we?" "An island not far off the coast," Rhys wrapped an arm around your waist, slowly turning you. You felt Feyre smooth fingers grasp your other hand, thumb brushing over the back of your hand. Rhys was still speaking, you realized and focused back in. "You can see Velaris," his voice was laced with a touch of amusement that told you he was well aware your attention wandered. Sure enough, there was a cluster of lights, but appearing barely larger than your fingertip. Twisting your head over a shoulder, you spotted the ... cabin was an understatement. Mini-palace waiting for you. Shrugging away from Rhys's grip, switching to grasp his hand instead, you tugged them both forward, their laughter trailing behind you.

Pretty Flower Garden
Mor x reader x Elain
Day 1: Beginnings
warnings: smut, mommy kink, fff threesome, pussy eating, general sapphic vibes 🥞
——————————————————————————————————————————————
You hadn’t even really known how it had started.
There’d always been an underlying tug between you and them, a desire to be around them each that pushed slightly deeper in your chest, that had excitement tingling not in your heart but between your legs. A faint heat unspooling in the pit of your stomach, thighs pressing together tight.
Mor’s eyes would gleam whenever your breath hitched, fingers grazing the inner side of your wrist—over the pulse point—while talking with you as she pressed the lip tint over your mouth. Her hand would cup your jaw, tilting you for her to examine, carefully brushing kohl to your lashes before a night out. Her lips would curve in a slash of red when your eyes would run over her form, always selecting a dress that perfectly wraps her up, almost effortless in her appeal.
Then every so often Elain would drop by, always carrying with her some thing or another, usually flowers from her garden, but other times food and pastries she’d recently baked, and you wouldn’t miss how Elain’s fingers would brush against your lips when feeding you a new biscuit she’d made. How she’d step a little closer to brush away a make-believe crumb, or linger in her general touches. Not that you’d minded. But now knowing what you could have been having…
“Like it down there, sweets?” Mor hums, your hair wrapped neatly around her hand as she keeps you under her control. Utterly submitted. Your eyes manage to flutter open, fumbling with a response as Elain’s flavour mixes with saliva, your tongue lazily lapping at her wetness. All you can manage is a blissed out moan, nosing against her clit, shifting lethargically on the bed. Well, as much as you can. Mor’s straddling your lower back, keeping your forearms together while she winds her hips faintly, and you’re able to feel every brush of her soft, wet cunt against your bare skin.
She pulls you away lightly, and a whine slips from your lips, Elain releasing a similar noise of complaint as her pleasure is lessened. “I was speaking to you, sweetness,” she reminds, releasing your arms in favour of sliding her palm beneath your jaw, down to your collar bones, pressing between your breasts, pulling you further away from Elain’s cunt. “What do you say?”
“Sorry, mommy,” you pant breathlessly, needing to seal your mouth over her again.
Mor smiles faintly, humming from the back of her throat. “Good girl,” she soothes, gently guiding you back to Elain’s heat, and both of you release a sound of pleasure as you lips latch around her clit, suckling gently, needfully, giving long, considerate strokes of your tongue over her centre. “Mommy,” Elain cries out, hands fisting in the sheets to keep her from covering her mouth, thighs squeezing your head lightly, able to feel their tremble. “Mommy, I need…I need to cum.”
Your lids flutter at her softly confessed words, circling her clit eagerly, sloppily licking over her, quiet slurping sounds squishing between your lips and hers. Pushing her closer to the edge so you’ll be able to feel her release on your tongue.
Mor tuts lowly, but keeps your mouth sealed over Elain’s heat. “Hold on a little longer. You both want to be good for mommy, don’t you?” The two of you moan in unison, your own hips rocking against the plush mattress, trying to squirm faintly against Mor, to have her arousal dripping onto your back, but she sits heavier, pinning you down to keep your movement to a minimum. “My sweet girls,” she coos, getting off on how you work together. How perfectly you comply with her wishes, fulfilling her desires so contentedly.
“Mommy, please,” Elain whimpers, hips bucking as you circle her entrance, before making your way back up to her pretty clit, puffy from attention. “I can’t…please…” Mor hums, and you can hear the wicked smile in her voice. “Think she should come, sweets?” She asks you, using her grip in your hair to wind your face against Elain’s heat, and you tighten around nothing, thighs squeezing together. You try to nod, moaning in agreement, desperately seeking her release on your tongue, coating your mouth, gleaming on your lips.
Again Mor hums, and you can feel how hard Elain’s trying to keep herself from toppling over the edge you’ve brought her to, nails digging into the sheets viciously.
“Alright,” Mor muses at last, and relief floods the both of you. “You can come, lovely girl. But come hard.”
Elain’s lips part wide, eyes opening fully as her back bows from the bed, hips weighing into the mattress as the orgasm crushes through her, stomach and cunt fluttering as she gasps wildly, panting, moaning, mumbling incoherently as her eyes take on a glassy gleam, your tongue working her with a familiarity she can’t stand being weaponised against her. And yet it’s so good, she’s torn between trying to squirm away, and open her legs wider—to grind harder against your mouth as you drag her through the turmoil of intensive pleasure.
“Good girl,” Mor admires, releasing your hair to lean forward, her slender fingers brushing Elain’s bare nipples, round and perky against the pleasantly-temperatured room that’s now filled with the heavenly fragrance of arousal. “So obedient, aren’t you?” She muses, breathless from the show.
“My perfect girls.”

Poly+ ACOTAR Week Day 2: Comfort
Tumblr media
Nesta has always struggled with more intense cycles than most, and when she became fae it only got worse. Thankfully, her mates Azriel and Cassian are there to take care of her.
Based on my headcanon that Nesta has endometriosis, which became more intense after she went through the Cauldron.
Have some Nessriel hurt/comfort fluff for @polyacotarweek day 2. Start reading below the cut, and read the full fic on AO3 here!
When Nesta rolled out of bed that morning her body felt sluggish, tired even after a full night's sleep. But warriors, especially Valkyrie’s, didn’t let anything keep them from training. She held in her groan as she sat up, trying not to wake Azriel. The male could sleep until the second before training started, still make it on time, and be one of the most alert people there.  Cassian had awoken and left the bed almost an hour ago, preferring to have extra time for his hair and breakfast routine. Nesta fell somewhere in the middle. She allowed herself only the exact amount of time it took her to pull on her leathers, braid her hair, grab a quick snack from the House, and make it to the training ring.  Each step she took felt heavier than the last, and her arms ached from what was typically the easy task of taming her hair. If that wasn’t a sign that something about this day would be different, the House providing Nesta with a pan au chocolat instead of her regular oats with berries definitely was.  Groaning at the realization of what the House was trying to tell her, Nesta decided that she would pretend like it wasn’t happening and accept the House’s gift as a token of friendship and not the warning it was. This was her first mistake. The second mistake was heading up to train with the Valkyries and her mates.  Training was horrible. Azriel and Cassian kept an eye on Nesta as she faltered slightly. Not enough that any of the usual priestesses training with them would notice, but these males were finely in tune with their mate’s abilities and they noticed the subtle differences. Toward the end of practice Emerie and Nesta sparred. When Emerie actually managed to land a gut punch Nesta had been properly defending for years, both females immediately stopped.  Nesta stood hunched over, fighting for her breath through the pain that radiated through her body. In an instant, Emerie was by her side.  “Fuck Nes, are you okay? I didn’t think I hit that hard, I’m so sorry.” Emerie grabbed Nesta’s arm and helped her to sit on the ground. It took several moments before Nesta could gasp in a full breath. She felt the stares of her mates from across the training ring, and sensed their concern flow down their shared bonds. Cassian and Azriel respected her enough to know that she could handle her own training, even if she took a bad hit. They wouldn't approach unless she was too injured to respond or she asked for them. Instead of getting up as she usually did, Nesta curled further in on herself. The scent of blood filled the ring, and Cassian could no longer keep himself from helping his mate. Within moments he was kneeling beside Nesta and Emerie at the edge of the ring.

Azriel and Cassian had been gone for a week this time, somewhere unknown, they had left from the roof of the House of Wind, their Illyrian leathers freshly polished.
You’d waved them off, tears in your eyes, unsure of when you would see your.boys again.
But tonight was the night, as the candles that decked the corridors of the House had extinguished behind you, swirling shadows had tangled at your feet, whispering to you. Now it wouldn't be long until their Master was beside you as well.
The clock on the mantle ticked around to 3am when Cassian finally cracked open the door to your rooms. Slowly, inching into the dark room, his wings caught on the door as they dragged tiredly behind him.
Azriel followed, dropping his own pack to the floor and kicking off his boots as quietly as possible.
“Sweetheart?” Cassian called softly, while Azriel’s shadows spread out, disappearing into the gloom in search of you.
Creeping up the side of the chaise like ivy, they reached your shoulder and curled around your ear, tickling you awake.
You'd tried to stay awake, slumped on the sofa, waiting for them, until sleep overtook you, lulling you down into the crouched position they found you in now, curled in on yourself.
“Boys?” you mumbled, sleep still clinging to you even as you tried to drag your eyes open, “You’re home.”
Cassian smiled, kneeling in front of you and cupping your cheeks in his hands and kissing you on the forehead. “We’re home, sweetheart, all in one piece.”
“Are you hurt? Do you need anything?” Your brain slowly kicked into gear, worry clouding your joy at the General’s return, hands running up his arms to feel for any bandages. “Is Azriel with you?”
“I’m here, baby, and we’re safe and well.” He ran a hand up your bare arm and then kissed you too, quickly and chastly before pulling back to run his eyes over you, checking that you too were well, fed and happy.
“Good, my boys,” you reached both hands out, touching their cheeks in turn and pulling them to you, “are you sure you don’t need anything?”
“We’re just dusty and muddy. I could do with a wash and I really want to kiss you again right now.” Cassian laughed, sitting back on his heels so he could look at you properly.
His head was heavy with what looked like caked mud, his usual long waves weighed down in limp grey tendrils around his face. Even the little lines of his cheeks and eyes seemed to be picked out with it. You leaned down, your lips fitting against his perfectly, as if you were made to kiss each other forever. Despite his clothes and the dust settling on the carpet, his lips were soft as they moved over yours, picking up where he left off when you said goodbye.
Azriel hadn’t fared any better, but he was quietly watching you, those hazel eyes of his roving over your own body, making sure you were safe too.
Reluctantly, you pulled away. “Let’s get you cleaned up.” You sat up, pushing your blanket to the floor. Cassian kicked it away and Azriel scooped you up into his arms.
You ran your hands into his hair, picking out debris with a laugh. Even their leathers was filthy, the white dust of limestone shining against the pitch black leather.
“What happened to you?” You lay your head against his shoulder and began fiddling with the straps of his armour as he led the way to the large bathing room.
“Best not to ask,” Cassian grumbled, “Blame Lucien if you have to blame someone, setting fires and cracking walls. We all got showered in it. You can imagine how upset Rhys is!” He chuckled.
You giggled too, remembering Rhy’s face the last time his pristine suit got dirty. Azriel jostled you in his arms, “he was very upset.”
Cassian rolled his eyes, turning into the bathing room and letting his wings flare a little, dust and debris falling from between them too, the veins and creases of his delicate wings filled with soot.
“You two should rinse off before you get anywhere near the tub,” you pointed at the cubicle in the corner of the bathing room. You’d asked Rhys for one after he’d had a similar thing specially commissioned for Nesta, it stopped your beautiful sunken tub from getting filled with mud and dust after your boys got back from training, missions, daily life - how they managed to get so dirty just existing was beyond you.
As an incentive you began unbuckling Azriel’s leathers further, letting them drop to the floor, before you could turn to help Cassian too the male was behind you, his hands on your hips.
“Are you going to join us?” He hummed in your ear, the feel of his chest vibrating against your back, his powerful arms surrounding you sent heat straight to your core.
“It’ll be very lonely without you, baby.” Azriel’s hands were on you now too, pulling up the sheer nightgown you’d worn, hoping for this very moment when two sets of battle weary hands would strip you back out of it.
“There she is,” Cassian’s hands moved up from your stomach to cup your breasts, your nipples hardening. Azriel bent forwards, latching his lips onto one nipple and then the next, flicking and teasing them until they ached.
You let your head drop back against Cassian’s chest as Azriel moved lower, kissing down your stomach until he knelt on the floor at your feet. Scarred hands ran up your legs, his thumbs tickling the inside of your thighs, tantalisingly close to wear your silk underwear clung to your slick folds.
His hooked his fingers into the band of your underwear and stopped there, staring up at you.
Cassian’s large hand crept up over your sternum and wrapped loosely around your throat, holding your head back. Despite his gentle hold your breath stuttered out of you.
“Good girl, ask him nicely if he’ll take them off for you.”
He let go, only enough for him to use his thumb on your chin to tilt your head down to look at the famed Illyrian warrior, his wings spread out around him, his eyes glowing in the faelight.
“Puh-please take them off, Az.”
He began sliding them down your legs, carefully lifting your feet in turn and then throwing them behind his back.
As he stood he let his fingers dance up between your legs, barely skimming over the slick that stuck your thighs together, before laying his hand over Cassian’s and claiming your mouth.
“We missed you so much,” Cassian crooned, pressing wet kisses up the side of your neck, “couldn’t wait to get home to our little sweetheart.”
Your heart was pounding, the thick heat of the streaming bathroom only making your body slicker and hotter. Cassian sucked your ear lobe between his teeth, worrying the delicate flesh until your knees buckled and Azriel had to take your weight, sliding his thigh between your sweat slick legs.
“Shower-” you moaned brokenly, trying to get Azriel to step backwards under the rainforest showerhead. He relented, allowing the hot water to drip from his hair like summer rain. “Let me - ugh - wash you.” Every word was a struggle against the on-slaught of pleasure from both warriors.
Cassian moved away, the loss of his body heat sending goosebumps flaring over your skin. Behind you the sound of water splashing into the enormous tub filled the room.
Azriel stepped away too, lifting his face into the water and rubbing his hands over his face. You followed, wrapping your arms around his waist and allowing your hands to find the sensitive spot where his wings met his back.
“What are you doing, baby?” His gaze snapped down, sending water flying.
“Let me wash you,” you pouted, two scarred hands cupping your cheeks as he kissed the pout from your lips. But then he turned, kneeling on the floor of the shower so you should reach him.
The lavender soap was slippery in your hands, filling the shower area with its sweet, floral scent.
You began with his shoulders, rubbing the knots away with your thumbs and then sliding your hands over his shoulders, suds revealing hints of the detailed tattoos that hid beneath, fingers brushing over the hard nubs of nipples before squeezing the soft muscle of his pecs playfully.
Cassian, hair now slicked back from face, stepped behind you in turn, guiding your hands back to Azriel’s shoulders.
“Just - here,” he nuzzled into the soft spot below your ear, moving your hand between Az’s wings and then pressing.
In front of you Azriel moaned, a deep sound that bounced off the tiles and vibrated up your legs. Cassian chuckled behind you and pressed again.
“Wicked, both of you, wicked, teasing -” he stood and turned, crowding you back against Cas until all three of you were in the corner of the shower, kissing and laughing while Azriel tickled up your sides.
“Hmm, time for the bath I think,” Cas wrapped his arms around you, reaching for Az.
“I agree,” you nodded, breathless.
Tearing yourself away from their searching hands and hungry kisses, you added a large squeeze of bubble bath to the filling tub. You barely had time to turn around again before Cassian hauled you into his arms and kissed you.
“Fuck, I missed you, baby, you’ll stay with us in the bath, right?” His hazel eyes, so full of lust just moments before, were clouded with something else too, a fear, a need to be close.
“How can I say no to you, Cas?” You looked down into his gorgeous face, clean now after his quick shower, glowing in the steamy room.
“Good,” Az sighed into your ear, the feeling of his shivering shadows creeping up your legs and around your waist.
Surrounded, you were entirely surrounded by them and it was exactly where you needed and wanted to be. Between your boys, safe and loved and close, just the three of you in the sanctuary you’d created.
“Good!” Cassian echoed, climbing into the overflowing water.
“Cassy!” You giggled, sloshing the water as you both got comfortable before Azriel climbed in too.
The tub was enormous, large enough for both males and their impressive wingspans, but you crowded together anyway, needing to feel them. You leaned forwards and pressed a chaste kiss to Azriel, revealing in the contrast of his cold shadows on your cheeks and his warm, full lips gently parting your own.
Cassian’s grip on your hips tightened, “where are you going?” he tugged you back into his lap and nuzzled kisses into your neck. “I’ve gotta feel you, baby,” he hummed, settling your hips directly over his so you could feel the hard length of his arousal between your legs.
Gods you’d missed this, the way your pulse raced and your body reacted for them. Your legs falling further open and your hips grinding back against him.
“Fuck, sweetheart, we can’t flood the bathroom again,” Azriel groaned, remembering the last time the three of you had taken a bath together, the whole floor had been soaked within minutes, soap and suds dripping out of the floor length open windows into the jasmine scented sky.
“Just - let me -” he nipped gently at your shoulder, “feel you then.” You never could resist when he turned on his puppy dog eyes, how could you when they were so full of want and desire and the tip of his cock was nudging between your legs in that sinful way.
You knew exactly what he wanted and you needed it too, reaching between you, you took hold of his hard cock and lined him up against your entrance, sinking down slowly. The first inch was always the hardest, his thick head stretching you, the pressure against your clit so sudden and delicious you could barely keep your eyes open.
And then you felt Az’s shadows on your cheeks again and you opened your eyes to meet his, dark with lust and need while he watched you sink back down into Cassian’s lap with a gasp.
Open mouthed, you gasped harder, feeling him so deep inside of you after so long was a welcome shock.
“You look so beautiful like this, sweetheart.” Azriel’s voice was a low purr, each word punctuated by his shadows skittering over your skin, dancing between the dappled candlelight.
“Az-” you moaned, leaning back against Cassian once more, ever your rock in this sea of pleasure.
“That’s a good girl,” he whispered into your ear, soft and low, “taking me so well, taking such good care of me.” He pressed a kiss behind your ear, hands squeezing your hips. “But I think Azzie is lonely over there.” He tipped your chin back up to look at Azriel again, one arm resting on the tile surround, the other under the bubbles, his arm moving slowly as he pumped his cock. “Why don’t you keep him company?”
Azriel met you searching hand with his own scarred palm, lacing your fingers together and drawing you closer. With a whimper you allowed Cassian’s cock to slip free, instantly feeling lost and empty without his firm, grounding presence. But Azriel was quick to help, situating you on his lap, knees spread wide around his hips and the wide head of his own cock nudging against your entrance.
He swiped a hand over your forehead, beads of sweat forming from the heat of the bath, down your cheek and neck, his thumb pressing up just a little as it brushed under you chin. It was like you couldn’t breath, taking in his gentle touch, the caress of his hand over your nipple and down your side before he corsetted your waist with his fingers. And then you were lowering on to him too, taking every delicious inch that he had to offer.
“You feel heavenly, baby,” he whispered, nosing at your jaw and nipping at your throat while you rolled your hips. “Would be a shame not to share you.”
The water swirled around you both and Cassian’s scent heightened as he drew closer, his hands over Azriel’s at your waist and then dipping lower, lower, tracing the dip at the small of your back and slipping under the water to cup the round swell of your bottom. Massaging and pressing, his fingers touching the delicate skin that stretched so tight around Azriel’s length and then pulling back to circle the your tight pucker.
“This okay, sweetheart?” He breathed and the feel of his lips on your cheek, Azriel’s on your shoulder, their bodies slick and hard and wanting surrounding you had you whimpering again, clinging to them. You’d take everything they would give you, every touch, every kiss and every inch.
“Yes - yes - Cassian - please.” You begged, letting your head fall back against him, that familiar movement, that let you feel safe in his arms, that let you gasp and shudder as he pressed inside, knowing they would keep you here on the precipice of pleasure.
“Fuck-” he brought his other hand around your chest, pulling you tight against him, cupping your breast in his large palm. “You’re perfect - perfect.” He grunted, a second finger joining the first and your mouth fell open in a silent shout.
“Gods damn, Cassian, I can feel you.” Azriel shut his eyes, leaning into your chest and laving at your free nipple, he sucked the stiff nub into his mouth and worried it with his teeth, breathing heavily through his nose in his efforts to stay still.
You could feel Cassian’s answering smirk on the cooling skin of your shoulder and then, just as suddenly, deep inside where he curled and spread his fingers.
“Cassie,” you whined, shifting down into the full feeling, trying to move yourself while trapped between the two Illyrian males and finding no give in their embrace. “Please.”
You didn’t need to beg further because Azriel took up your cause, barking at Cassian to hurry up before he embarrassed himself. His fingers were gone in an instance, replaced by the blunt, wide head of his cock and then - “Cass-” his name was punched from your lungs, leaving you breathless and floating between them. But they didn’t move.
Together, you soaked in the bubbles for a few minutes, connected again after so much time apart, each intake of breath making them shift inside of you, sending sparks of heat across your skin. They were here, with out, safe and unharmed.
The aching of their initial thrusts gave way to a deep, dull, yearning for more. You clenched around them, trying to stay still but finding it increasingly difficult to stop your body moving, it was drawn to them, needing to feel them moving and loving you as much as they needed to hold you.
Azriel pulled away from you and opened one eye. “Baby, you need to stay still.” His soft, sleepy voice rolled over your skin, igniting your need further, he had fallen as deeply as you, hypnotised by the flickering candles, your combined scents and the closeness that you all craved.
“Az, I can’t,” you cried, biting into his shoulder to stop your moans as your hips found the perfect pressure, “I missed you both so fucking much.”
You hooked one arm around his shoulder and the other behind you to tangle in the messy of Cassian’s curls.
“Fuck,” Cassian grunted, “I’m trying to be good here, don’t wanna make a mess like last time” He chuckled thrusting up anyway, the water swirling around the three of you and spilling over the sides of the tub and across the pearlescent tiles.
“I don’t care, I don’t care, I just need you, please, fuck, I can’t wait anymore.” Frantically, you moved your hands and kissed Azriel roughly before turning your head to capture Cassian’s lips too.
“Okay,” Azriel smiled, a secret smile that only you and Cassian ever saw, “but remember you asked for it.”
He gripped your hips again, fingers bruising tight on your hips, and thrust up, chasing his release.
“Fuck, Azriel,” Cassian groaned behind you, biting into your shoulder and starting to move in contrast to Az.
“I love you,” you moaned, eyes closed, lost in bliss. “I love you both so much.” Your climax hit you like an arrow, your whole body clenching around them as your walls fluttered, drawing them ever closer to their own release.
“Love you too, Sweetheart.”
“Love you, Baby.”
They growled in unison cumming hard, Azriel bent his head back into your chest, nipping at the soft swell of your breast. Cassian dug his fingers into your waist, pulling you down onto them one last time.
You stayed there, sandwiched between them, matching smiles on your sated faces, until the water went cold and the bubbles faded.

Rhys hated multiple nights spent in Hewn City. The only plus side to them was the tiny see-through dresses you'd wear while you perched in his lap in the war room.
Tonight was clearly revenge for you. The sheer white panes of material did nothing to hide a single inch of you and you were pressing soft kisses along his jawline, nibbling softly on his ear. “Need you,” your voice was a soft breath. “Can't wait.”
“You have to,” he patted your upper thigh. “You riled yourself up. You can wait. We promised Azriel and Cassian we would play with them tonight. Remember? You smiled into his neck now, fingers gripping at his waist. “Excited, aren't you, my star? Azriel has been desperate for a taste since Cassian got one last night.”
“He was invited,” Rhysand almost shivered at the kisses you were pressing to his neck. “He made the choice to not come in.” You felt him shiver, gripping your thigh tighter.
“Knock it off.”
“Never.”
You saw shadows from the corner of your eye before Azriel appeared next to you and Rhysand. “Take her and teach her some manners.”
“Of course.” Azriel held his hand to you, giving you one chance to leave willingly. You rolled your eyes, but gave him your hand, following him out of where Keir would be meeting with Rhysand and now Cassian and into the throne room. “Never roll your eyes at me again, y/n.”
“Yes, sir.”
He curled two fingers to you, wanting you to come closer to him. “What is with all this attitude the past couple days? Where's my good girl?”
You held in the pout as you when in to hug him, chin resting on his chest as he towered over you. “I have been a good girl.”
“That's a lie. What is going on?” His hand began to trail down your spine, resting on your lower back as he walked you to the dais and sat. “My y/n isn’t this much of a brat.”
You kneeled before him and between his legs, hands running up powerful thighs as you did. “Needy.”
“Needy, huh? Is Rhysand not doing enough, baby? Did Cassian not please you last night?”
In reality they both were capable males. Both brought you pleasure. Even if Rhysand was the only one you shared a romantic connection to, though, you always missed Azriel and Cassian. And one of them had not paid attention to you in quite some time. “They aren't who I am needy for.”
Azriel leaned into you, grabbing your jaw softly before giving you a quick kiss. “If you missed me you should have said something.”
That kiss turned into a mess quickly and before you knew it, he was sitting on the throne, your mouth wrapped around his cocks as shadows held your hands behind your back. That was how Rhysand and Cassian found you two. You on your knees as Azriel had his head back and eyes squeezed shut as you took as much of him as possible into your mouth.
Rhysand happily took a seat, watching as Cassian approached you from behind but left him with a view. You didn't even up as Cassian put a hand on your core, fingers running before one pushed in. Azriel groaned as you moaned around him, smiling as his lashed fluttered against his cheeks. Just needed a cock to keep you occupied huh? How is he, my star?
So good. Cassian kept pushing his finger in and out of you, the other hand tangling into your hair to direct your movements on Azriel.
It felt like seconds, perhaps from the build and anticipation from Azriel, but you were falling apart on Cassian's hand. Squirming and tears falling down your face. “Good girl,” Cassian praised you, fingering you through your high. He pulled you off Azriel, forcing you into his lap with your back against his chest so you faced your mate.
Rhys nodded for you to continue and leaned back. Cassian went to him, a chair appearing next to Rhysand as Azriel pushed into you. His hands locked on your hips, gripping them tight enough to leave bruising as he directed each of your movements.
Your mate's cock was perfect. Thick, long, filling you every inch of the way. Cassian's was thick, barely longer than Rhysand's so not too much of a stretch, but Azriel's? The male had been blessed by Gods. Riding him was a constant flow pleasure that there was no escaping. Each drag of him had your eyes rolling as Rhysand and Cassian just watched your tits bounce. Azriel moaned behind you, the most vocal of the 3 with his pleasure, intensifying everything you felt and making your pride sing with how you had reduced him to a mess as well.
That coil was quickly building, pleasure becoming almost too much as Rhysand stood and walked to you. Your husband was mesmerizing, toxicating in every single way, but even more so as a hand just placed itself on your throat, the other finding your clit and circling that bundle of nerves in time with those hard deep thrusts. “You're going to come already, y/n?”
You couldn't help just whisper a soft please, needing his permission with him in front of you. “Pathetic little thing tonight, aren't you?”
“Yes.”
“Yes, what?”
“Yes, high lord. Please may I cum?”
Rhysand smiled then, kissing your forehead gently. “What pretty manners. Of course, darling.” He pressed your clit harder, electricity shooting through your body as he did, and you fell over the edge, screaming Azriel's name and triggering the male's own release. He held you through it. You mouth now preoccupied by Rhysand before you were pulled off of Az.
The male was quick to stand shadows now Keeping you hands at bay as Cassian, cock leaking and hard, just begging for you to taste. “I believe you know what to do, wife.”
The last thing you expected as you began to suck Cassian off, arm of the throne digging into your hips, was Rhysand to enter you from behind.
You were used to being treated like this by them, used to being used and abused by them, and showered with their love later. Azriel leaned down next to you, “You look beautiful like this, you know that.” You shivered and moaned, nerves now overly sensitive and mind zeroing in on Azriel's deep voice. “I wish we could have you like this every day, wet and waiting.”
“Cauldron boil me,” Rhysand groaned behind you. “Keep talking to her. She's getting so fucking tight.”
Azriel kept his mouth by your pointed ear, “You have the prettiest pussy, you know that? She's always so warm and inviting. And your mouth is perfect. Cassian is in heaven.” The mentioned male almost whimpered as you swallowed around him, one hand holding Rhysand's on your ass as the other held your hair.
Your eyes began to water as the feeling of fire washed through you. It was all too much, too little, and so good. That edge was approaching faster than you wanted with the bond wide open allowing you to feel Rhys mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Cassian's cock gave a warning twitch. “He's going to cum, y/n. You're doing such a good job. Being such a good little whore for us.” And that was it. Cassian came at the same time you did, groaning loudly and back arching as thick warm ropes of cum spilled into your mouth.
You tightened and pulsed around Rhysand, milking him and forcing the High Lord to finish with such force the mountains seemed to shake.
Moments later the four of you were laying on the floor, breathing heavily and smiling as you all did.
You'd trade this for nothing. You squeezed Rhysand's hand, treasuring the openness of his heart and your relationship. Love you, Rhysand.
I love you too, y/n Darling.

Together for the First Time
Feysand x reader
A/n: happy Poly week! I’m so excited to be doing this and reading what everyone else has come up with. Today is Day 1 which is beginnings. I decided to do when Feysand and reader start being open with the Inner Circle about their relationship and of course Cassian’s inability to keep a secret. @polyacotarweek
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
For the first time in two hundred years Cassian was actually early for a meeting with his brothers. He even had a lil pep in his step. Things were good, great even. He and Nesta were good, Nyx loved spending time with him, the family was at peace. Nothing could ruin Cassian’s day.
A giggle from inside Rhys’s office interrupted his thoughts. It sounded unfamiliar.
Creeping closer to the door Cassian finds it cracked open. Willing his massive body to be stealthy he holds his breath and listens.
That sweet giggle rings through the room again along with Rhys and Feyre’s laughter. Odd. Cassian wasn’t aware of any other meetings today. He was supposed to take up all of his brothers’ time today.
“Alright,” that voice. Cassian knows that voice. Where has he heard that voice?
“We should probably go get Nyx from his nap together. Since Rhys put him down he’s going to want us.”
Cassian slightly turned his head to look through the cracked door. The sight had his jaw unhinging, practically hitting the floor. Rhys kissing Feyre then you. You, y/n! With his brother and Feyre! When on earth did this happen?
Cassian began to panic. Oh Mother, what if he’s the only one that knows? Cass won’t be able to keep his mouth shut.
As you and Feyre made your way to the door Cassian began to jog as quietly as possible around the corner. Peaking, he watched you and Feyre walk down the hall hand in hand.
Plastering himself against the wall he waits a few moments before heading into Rhys’s office. Composing himself he enters the office ready to give Rhys his update about the Illyrian army.
———
Rhys thought about his brother's odd behavior as he followed the sound of his son's playful giggles. What on earth had Cassian so jumpy and tense?
He shook his head forgetting all about the stressful conversation.
Upon seeing you and Feyre playing with Nyx his smile widened. Sitting on the floor Rhys began to hand his son blocks for the little village he was focused on constructing.
“Are you two sure you want to do this tonight?” You ask from your spot in the corner of the room, propped up by the mountain the size of Ramiel of Nyx’s stuffed toys.
Feyre and Rhys give you a sad look. “Why wouldn’t we be sure?” Rhys coos at you.
You shrug at them, looking away absentmindedly playing with the wing of a stuffed owl. “What if the family doesn’t accept us, me?”
They move to either side of you, squishing you in a side hug. “Of course they will. And even if they don’t it doesn’t matter.” “You’re positive?”
“Sweet girl, you are our mate. Of course we are sure.” Rhys kisses your forehead as Feyre kisses your cheek. Nyx huffs, feeling left out the small boy yells, “Hey! No fair, I want kisses too!” He throws his small body onto the three of you. Knocking you back into the stuffed animals in a fit of giggles.
———
Dinner started with light conversation and a delicious appetizer thanks to Elain. You sit with Rhys and Feyre at the end of the table. Your chair very close to the two of them.
Cassian felt like he was going to explode. He has kept this gods damned secret to himself all day. Another new record.
As the main course appears with a wave of Rhys’s hand he clears his throat. The family’s attention turns to him. All happy and content faces.
“Feyre and I have exciting news to share with you.” The two look at you, bright smiles on their faces as the bond hums between the three of you.
Anticipation coursed through the room as Rhys grasped your hand, giving it a loving squeeze.
“We have discovered a triad bond. Between myself, Feyre, and y/n.” He said happily, beaming at his friends. You couldn’t look at them. Holding your breath your eyes dart around everyone’s faces.
You found nothing but love and acceptance. Mor raised her wine glass, “Congratulations! This is rare, but wow! You deserve all the happiness in the world.”
The rest raise their glasses cheering, “here, here!”
At that hour anxiety was relieved. It seemed so was Cassian’s. After taking a huge gulp of wine Cass he breathed out the loudest sigh of relief. His head hitting the table. “Thank the Mother!” Everyone looked at him, Azriel let out one of those rare laughs at his brother's antics. “Cass?” Feyre asks with a chuckle.
“I saw you and y/n earlier coming out of the office, I also saw you guys in the office because I was early. I’ve been keeping this damn secret all day and thank gods you said something!” He rambled.
“Wait,” Rhys looks at him with a raised brow, “you were early?

Az woke to his shadows hissing in his ear. He tried to ignore them. Then they started physically nudging him. With a groaning sigh he buried his face in his pillow.
Our mate will not listen.
He will not come to bed.
That got his attention.
He lifted his head, blinking as he focused in the darkness. Beside him you were sleeping, facing away from him, his wing draped over you. He glanced further and realized the other side of the bed was indeed empty.
He needs rest.
“I’m going,” he whispered.
He used them to move off the bed silently so you wouldn’t wake. He stood by the bed and rubbed his eyes before following the shadows clearly showing him where to go. A light coming from his study was obvious in the dead of night. When Az came to the door, he watched shadows flurry around Eris. Eris was hunched over papers, waving his hand half heartedly to shoo them.
“They’ll stop if you come to bed,” Az said, his voice rougher from just waking up.
Eris’s head snapped up. His eyes meet Az’s then drop down his body.
“Put some pants on. You’re indecent.”
Az glanced down at himself. He was indeed nude. He forgot he hadn’t put pants on, so focused on getting the shadows to leave him alone.
“It’s the dead of night. If anyone besides us is in these chambers at this hour, they deserve what they get.” He crossed his arms. “It’s late. Come to bed.”
Eris propped his elbow on his desk and rubbed his eye. “I’m almost done reviewing these reports. I’ll come to bed in a few minutes.”
“You said that when you sent us to bed hours ago.” His shadows agreed. Hissing that Eris was a liar. “Whatever it is can wait.”
“No, it can’t,” he snapped. He paused immediately and took a breath. “What I mean is that these reports are important to the trade agreement. I have to make sure I don’t miss anything.”
“You have advisors for that. You have me for that.” Shadows hissed at him again. “My shadows aren’t going to let you stay up. So you can come willingly or I can come over there and force you.”
Eris leaned his elbows on the desk and started rubbing his temples. The shadows told Az to just be done with it and pick him up. His chuckle had Eris sighing loudly.
“Fine. But just so you know, I used to stay up all night doing this and I was fine.”
“You’re not three hundred years old anymore, Eris.”
“Neither are you,” he grumbled.
Az watched him straighten up his desk, tucking away reports while shadows kept a sharp eye on him. Once everything was sorted and he couldn’t stall longer, Eris brushed back his hair and sighed. Az tucked his wings in and stepped back into the corridor as Eris finally came out of the study.
“Don’t trust me to follow you,” he asked Az, a tired smirk gracing his lips.
“You know I don’t.”
When they both snuck back into the bedroom, his shadows allowed him to slip back into bed with ease. They didn’t provide Eris that same courtesy after he shed his own clothes. As soon as the bed moved, Az felt you move.
“Hmm?” Your sleepy hum came out like a whisper.
“It’s just me, love. Go back to sleep,” Eris whispered back.
You didn’t listen. You sat up on your elbows and Az did his best not to laugh.
“Er? What time is it?”
“Time for you to go back to sleep. Come here.”
You mumbled something even Az couldn’t understand but moved over to Eris. Az didn’t complain. That gave him more room to spread out his wings, scooting himself over as well to drape one over you and Eris. With his shadows settled he easily went back to sleep.
Az woke in the morning and Eris was already gone from bed.
Our mate is stubborn, the shadows whispered.
He was but there wasn’t much Az could do about it at that moment. What he could do is scoot closer to you and your end of the bed. A soft grumble escaped your lips when he wrapped his arm around you and draped his leg over yours.
“Morning,” Azriel buried his face in your hair. You groaned back. That made him chuckle. “We should take the puppies for a walk today.”
That woke you up. You inhaled sharply and let out a sigh as you rolled over in his arms.
“What time is it?” You reached up and rubbed one of your eyes.
“Past time to get up,” Az grinned.
You moved out of his grasp and sat up. He tried to not let his mind wander as he watched the blanket fall, your bare chest exposed to the chill air. He focused on how your hair stuck up at odd angles instead.
“Did Eris even come to bed last night?” You frowned.
He laughed. “You don’t remember? He woke you up.”
You scrunched up your face and made a noise. “It’s a free day, is he seriously working?”
You stretched your arms to the sky and Azriel’s gaze fell right back to your breasts. You yawned again, and dropped your arms, slumping forward.
“I can smell you,” you turned your head and sharply glared at him. “Are you ever not horny?”
“With you it’s hard not to be.”
He brushed the back of his fingers against your arm. For a moment you looked as if you’d take the bait, but you sighed again and threw back the covers.
“Let’s get dressed and go drag Eris for a walk,” you said getting off the bed.
His shadows agreed with him and nudged at him to get out of bed as well. Resigned, he rolled out of bed and stretched his wings. You both dressed, Az in his normal leather pants, dark blue top, and his boots; you in flowy brown trousers and deep rust blouse under a gold stay with your own leather boots.
“Where is he?”
Az turned to you, his expression asking the question for him. The shadows knew what you meant. One curled up by his ear and whispered Eris was in the High Lord’s office with the door locked. Azriel frowned.
“Office. We have to winnow in.”
The way sadness washed over you and poured into the bond- he knew you knew the door was locked and what that meant.
“It’s getting bad again, isn’t it?” You whispered. You came up and took his hand. Your fingers rubbed along Az’s own.
“Not like last time. He’s just a little overworked.”
A little was probably an understatement. Eris went through waves; he would balance his work and personal life, and slowly start to unbalance it. Azriel was used to it when it was just him. The first time it happened with you as part of the family, however- Azriel’s free hand twitched at the memory.
It was the only fight the three of you had since you’d been together. It got very ugly. Since then it’s happened three more times but you all managed to work through it. It didn’t stop you from immediately going back to that first one, remembering how bad it was. He and Eris would regret that for the rest of their lives.
“Come on baby, we will get him to go with us. He just needs a break.”
You squeezed his hand and he shadow walked you both into Eris’s office.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Eris felt like his eyes were crossing. He’d poured over this treaty ten times noting every possible loophole and vague wording that could cause misinterpretation. He run his hand through hair, brushing back unruly red locks. He’d been working on this treaty all week and felt no closer to finishing it. His inability to focus wasn’t helped by the cloudy skies. Days like these he wanted nothing more than to say in bed.
He looked over at the stack of reports he poured over until Azriel forced him to bed. He reached over and grabbed them while frustratation welled in him. There could have been something he missed. If Az and his shadows had simply left him alone, he would be done by now. Azriel never understood the pressure he was under.
After all this time, his father’s legacy still haunted him. They were still finding old laws set by Beron, missed during the reviews in the first years of Eris’s reign. He still felt the need to ensure Autumn subjects he was just and fair. And despite both of his mates’ skills, he was not going to burden them with it. As if summoned, the room darkened in front of his desk. It took all his might to not groan in annoyance when you and Azriel appeared in front of him.
“Yes, loves?” He put on an air of indifference and shoved down the other feelings.
You walked around his desk and stopped by his chair.
“We are going for a walk. The three of us.” You put your hands on your hips.
“I’m busy, my love. Go on without me.”
You scowled at him. “No. It’s a free day; the end of the week. We are taking the puppies for a walk and you’re going with us.”
“I don’t have time-“
“You’re making time.”
He cut his eyes to you as his anger burned in his gut because you cut him off but you didn’t falter. He felt the coolness of a shadow wrapped around his wrist, urging him to calm down. He glanced to Az who was stanced as if he was ready to grab you up if Eris lost it. That alone dampened any anger in him. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair again.
“Where exactly are we taking our puppies, my stubborn fire?”
Eris hated how you and Azriel both visibly relaxed. Sometimes he felt like he didn’t deserve you both, especially when you had to weather his anger. But you smiled at him with genuine affection and he shoved those thoughts away.
“The mum field.” You held out your hand. “Let’s go.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The second that the three of you winnowed into the kennels, the puppies started to bark. The other hounds were trained by Eris himself. The puppies were still learning; training with a handler daily. It took one whistle from Eris to get them to silence and sit at attention.
His prized smoke hounds sat behind the fenced wall, their sleek gray fur gleaming under the natural light of the windows. Of course when you approached the door, the new litter began to thump their tails despite not being commanded to be at ease.
“Have you been coming out here on your own?” Eris side-eyed you.
“No.”
Your tone and the way you ducked your head and that told him everything he needed to know. Azriel of course snickered.
What was he going to do with you?
“These dogs are not house pets, Y/N.”
You sighed, unlatching the door. “They’re just puppies, Eris. You come and play with the others all the time.”
Play was a subjective term. He ran exercises with his hounds once a week. He did dote on them; he wasn’t a monster to withhold affection. New litters needed balance in order to retain training in their later years. He couldn’t stay mad, however. Not when you opened the door and he clicked twice for all of them to go at ease. The squeal of laughter you made when the puppies and other hounds ran up to you when you entered the kennel was worth it.
He and Azriel walked in, Az shutting the door behind him, as the hounds gathered around for attention. It was surprising how quickly they took to you and Az; though he was certain they could tell what you were to him. Eris in particular zoned in on Jora, mother to the current litter of pups.
“Hi, sweet girl,” he whispered. He knelt down, scratching her behind her floppy ear as she tried to lick at him. “Do you want to go for a walk with us?”
The hounds heard the word walk and immediately all of them became excited. Eris kissed Jora’s forehead and stood up, snapping his fingers. All silenced their yelping and stood still on all fours, tails still wagging. He ushered his mates out and with another signal, had the hounds follow behind them.
Leaving the kennels and walking along the trail had to be a sight to see. You jogged ahead a little ways, the litter of pups chasing after you and stumbling some on their feet. Azriel laughed each time a pup took a small tumble. Eris suppressed his own. He and Az walked side by side a bit behind you, the hounds in a formal line behind them as they were trained to do. Jora was allowed to walk beside him to keep an eye on her pups.
It was still cloudy when you reached the field.
The next few hours were spent in the meadow. Azriel eventually fell asleep lying on his stomach, wings spread out and warming under the sun once the clouds parted. Eris watched you play with the pups until you tired, shadows taking over and running all the hounds in circles using the shadows in the flowers and grass. Eris propped himself against a tree at the edge of the meadow.
You had come and sat in front of Eris, between his stretched out legs. You rested back against his chest and he wrapped his arms around you. He couldn’t remember the last time he sat with you like this. It was nice, the two of you sitting in silence together.
“Should we wake him?” You nodded your head to Az.
“Probably,” he mused and rested his chin on your shoulder. “He’s quite the baby when his wings get sunburned.”
You hummed, amusement in your tone. “Thank you,” you whispered. You put your hand over where his rested on your waist. “For coming with us.”
“Thank you for making me,” he pressed a kiss to your cheek.
“You know we can help you. We don’t mind.” You turned your head and gave him a smirk. “I was one of the best emissaries before you stole me away.”
“It’s not stealing when you're willing.”
“Thesan disagrees.”
Thesan did in fact hold a slight grudge against Eris after the bond snapped. Not that he didn’t understand. You were damn good at what you did. Also why he offered you a reprieve after the mating ceremony. In that moment, Eris could see how he was being hypocritical. He offered you a break but never took one of his own. He didn’t further examine that thought- lest he ruin the moment the two of you were sharing. Instead he watched the hounds, including the pups, wander over to your area of the field and seek shade under the trees.
“We should wake Azriel.” He said. “Even the pups are tired.”
He looked over and tugged on the bond to Az. Azriel grumbled. You must have tugged as well, as he turned his head away from you both. When he didn’t get up, you shifted in Eris’s lap and gave him a wicked grin.
“What’s the signal for a playful attack?”
Eris grinned back. He let out a long whistle, alerting the hounds. Then he snapped his fingers and pointed at Azriel. Three of the closest hounds: Lo, Thebe, and Klaus, ran over to Azriel and immediately started to lick at his face. You erupted with laughter and Az jolted awake.
“What the fuck,” Az, shooed at the hounds but the were not deterred. “Okay I’m up, call them back.”
Eris whistled again and the hounds came bounding over.
“Good boy,” he scratched at Klaus’s ear, while you gave Lo and Thebe loving pets as well.
Az sat up in the field, and stretched both his arms and wings. He let out a yawn before getting up and walking over to the shade.
“Was that necessary?” He scowled, hands on his hips.
“Yes,” you replied. “You would get burned if you didn’t get up.”
”We both know what a baby you are when that happens,” Eris added.
Az sat down and made a gesture Eris was certain was vulgar in Illyria. Now that he was in the shade, his shadows came out. Two slithered around the sunlight shining through the trees and came around you and Eris. One went to his wrist, the other in your hair and both rested contently. The three of you sat in silence, before Azriel brought up some courtier gossip. You excitedly explained what you had heard on the same topic.
Eris sat there and listened, and anuncomfortable feeling sank into his chest. When was the last time he sat and listened to his mates? Even just to hear idle gossip about a court member he didn’t recognize. His mind kept spiraling. When was the last time he had dinner with the two of you? He had no idea what you both did with your time. Last night was the first time in weeks he’d been in bed and held you. The shadow tightened on his wrist and you turned in his lap, moving back to rest on your knees between his legs.
“Eris?” You and Azriel both were staring at him. “Where did you go?”
If Eris was capable of crying he would have. You and those eyes, searching him to see what past horrors were triggered when the truth was it was he who was the horror.
“No where,” he whispered. “I simply realized what a terrible mate I am.”
Something hit him in the head. He looked down to see an acorn rolling in the grass. He looked up to see Azriel glaring.
“Did you just hit me with an acorn?” Eris was truthfully too dumbfounded to do anything but gap at his mate.
“I’d punch you if Y/N wasn’t in the way.”
At that Eris heard Jora growl but not get up from where she laid with her pups. She recognized the empty threat, the smart hound she was. But she still didn’t like Az smarting off at him.
“Az-“ you tried to interject.
“No.” He jumped to his feet, wings flaring to balance him. “I'm not going to sit and listen to Eris feel sorry for himself.” His gaze turned to Eris. “You need a break. A real one.”
Eris remained silent. You had sat back on the grass, arms around your knees. He could feel sadness in your side of the bond. He locked his side down- he didn’t want to further your discomfort.
“He’s right Ere,” you said so softly he almost didn’t hear it over the breeze. “You’re slipping away from us again.”
That hurt him more than any physical blow he had endured. Now he really could cry. Why was he cursed? He didn’t deserve you or Azriel. And he was doing it again- burying himself in work and ignoring the two of you. He was a terrible husband and mate. He was so lost in his own thoughts, he startled when you moved up to him and put your hand on his cheek.
“We cannot help you if you don’t let us.” You said softly. “I know you’re set in your ways and think you have to do everything alone. But you don’t.”
“Do what you have to do tomorrow.” Az said. He could see him cross his arms, shadows still agitated but not as much. “Then we will spend three days together. Not working.”
“That caldron damned treaty is not going to be done by tomorrow.” Eris grumbled.
“And it won’t be done by the end of next week, either.” You pulled your hand back and missed your touch already. “Your governors still have to sign it before it even goes out to the other courts.”
“I hate when you're right.” He didn’t suppress the small smile forming on his lips. “Fine. I will finish it up tomorrow and we will take three days to ourselves.” You grinned, Azriel stood there smug. “Let me guess, you two have something planned?”
Your grin became wicked. “Maybe.”
That stirred something in him but he suppressed it. He huffed and rose to his feet, dusting off his pants. The hounds watched him, knowing he would signal them to do the same in a moment. You stood as well.
“Let’s go back,” he pointed between you and Azriel. “And you two can explain to me this plan of yours.”
“Deal.” Az smirked.
Eris tried to not roll his eyes at his mate. He gave the alert and all the hounds rose to their feet. Except for the pups. Eris signaled again and two of them whined but didn’t rise.
“Poor babies,” you cooed. You picked one up and placed them on your shoulder. The pup didn’t even wake. “So sleepy.”
“You’re spoiling them.” Eris scowled.
“They’re just babies,” Azriel retorted, picking up another and placing them on his shoulder. “It won’t hurt to carry them.”
Eris realized he wasn’t winning this battle. Azriel grabbed another to put over his other shoulder and with an exaggerated sigh, Eris picked up the last one. He refused to admit it was adorable how the puppy in his arm snuggled against his neck, no doubt loving the warmth he radiated. Jora watched them, head moving between the three of them to make sure her babies were fine. Eris knelt down and scratched her ear.
“It’s okay girl,” he said. He gave another signal for the hounds to follow. “Come on. Let’s go home.”

Reader
When you first saw Azriel, cloaked in shadows, you thought death had finally come for you.
Instead, he offered you a new chance at life.
You couldn't help but develop a little crush. Gods, he was so handsome. Attractive and kind - you were done for.
And then there was Cassian. He was so easy to get along with, the two of you were fast friends, especially with the amount of injuries the male received.
You wondered if he was doing it on purpose, as a way to spend more time with you. You shake your head, trying to rid the thought from your mind. ‘Don’t be silly, why would he do that when his job requires him to be in peak physical condition?’
You managed to stay professional, for the most part. Cassian made it very hard with all of his flirting. You quickly realised it helped to take his mind off the pain while you were healing him. So, taking a holistic approach, you joined in on his games to help him through it.
Azriel, on the other hand, was always on his best behaviour. You got to see a side of him that’s usually kept hidden behind his shadows. A soft side. The two of you would talk and talk while you patched him up. You’d chat about everything, new books, music, that new bakery by the Sidra that made the most divine cakes…
Getting on with Cassian and Azriel was easy. What wasn’t easy was battling your growing feelings for both of them.
————
You’re working on restocking your salves and tonics, humming a song from your village as you grind magical herbs together. You’re interrupted by a sharp knock on the door. “Come in,” you say cheerily, stepping away from the work to greet your visitor.
The door opens and Cassian enters your small clinic with a bright pink nose and red, puffy eyes. “Y/N, I think I’m dying,” he sniffles.
You move closer and press your hand against Cassian’s forehead, letting your powers diagnose him.
“I’ve seen you with far worse ailments than allergies, Cassian.”
“You try not being able to breathe and see how you like it,” he responds.
“Take a seat, I was just finishing up a tonic that will help.” You gesture towards the stool on the other side of your workstation and you go back to mixing the tonic. Cassian watches you working in unusual silence. The only sounds in the room are the grinding of your mortar and pestle and the occasional sneeze.
“Remind me to stock up on this if we ever visit Spring,” you smile, handing Cassian the glass vial. He downs the amber liquid in one big gulp. Within minutes his symptoms start to wane. Cassian stands and lifts you into a big hug, spinning you around.
“Thank you, you’re a lifesaver, Y/N.” Cassian beams, planting a loud kiss on the top of your head as he sets you on your feet.
You laugh in response to his affection. “It’s nothing,” you say.
You both turn at the sound of a male cough. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything,” Azriel drawls.
“Just saving Cassian’s life. Again,” you wink.
“Thanks again Y//N.” Cassian kisses you on the cheek on his way out of the clinic, leaving you alone with the shadow singer.
You scan Azriel’s face. He’s got dark circles under his eyes and a haunted look on his face.
“What can I help you with, Az?” you ask.
“Just some scrapes, I’ve become such a baby since you’ve been around,” he smiles but it doesn't quite reach his eyes.
“It’s always my pleasure to help.” You turn to look through your jars of salves, grabbing one with numbing properties.
You turn towards Azriel, motioning for him to take a seat. You grab his hand, your powers doing a quick scan - you can sense he has some minor scraps on his knuckles, but he’s also got something wrong in his chest - your powers can't quite determine what it is.
You do your best to keep the concern from your face as you start to work the salve into his knuckles. Azriel shuts his eyes as you massage his hands.
“Az,” you say softly, approaching the topic hesitantly, “is there anything else I should know about?”
He opens his eyes, looking into yours, “like what? I’m fine,” he says.
“You haven't had any pain elsewhere?” You push.
“No, why would I?”
“Well, I don't want to alarm you but my magic has never been wrong before. It’s detected something other than these scrapes…” You point towards his chest, right over his heart, “There’s something wrong here.”
Azriel exhales through his nose, “Oh, that. It’s nothing I can’t handle.’”
You frown at the male, sighing. Illyrians were a stubborn breed, you decided. “Let me know if there’s anything I can do.”
Azriel nods and leaves your clinic, leaving you wondering what worries plague him and what you can do to help.
————
Azriel continues to mope around for a few days, the dark circles never leaving his face. Not even Mor can get him to smile.
With your worries only increasing, you turn to Rhys and Feyre for some answers.
You explain what you felt to Rhys, that you knew something was wrong but you couldn’t tell what.
Rhys props his chin on his hand pensively, “Azriel has always had his demons, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Just keep monitoring him and try to get him to talk. I know he feels fondly for you, it may just take him time to open up.”
You nod, taking in the High Lord’s words.
Feyre gives you a reassuring shoulder squeeze, “He’ll be alright. He’s got you.”
You give her a meek smile and exit the office, on your way to try and cheer up your friend.
————
“Az!” you call out in the House of Wind, “Where are you?”
He appears down the hall, a flurry of shadows swirling around him and towards you. “Yes, Y/N?”
“Can you please give me a lift to the city? I’ve got a few things to pick up, and I’m craving something from that bakery.”
Azriel nods, “Sure, are you ready to go now?”
“Sure am, lead the way.”
He scoops you up into his arms like he did the day he rescued you and launches into the sky. The wind rushes past your face and you scream out in joy, loving the exhilarating feeling of soaring through the air. You wrap your arms tighters around Azriel’s neck as he starts to descend.
You land and he places you down gently. ‘Thank you, kind sir,” you say, curtsying. Azriel rolls his eyes but can’t fight the smile creeping onto his face.
You grab his hand and break into a skip down the street, triumphant over your small win - getting a grin out of the spymaster.
Azriel follows after you, listening intently as you chatter away animatedly.
As you exit a shop selling different apothecary ingredients you spy a busker on the street playing the fiddle.
“Oh Az, will you dance with me?”
Azriel pauses, observing the crowd before taking your extended hand in his. The two of you dance clumsily in the street, letting the music flow through your body.
As the musician hits the crescendo, Azriel lifts you into the air and spins with you while you laugh loudly and unabashed. When he places you on your feet you notice a small crowd has gathered, they break into applause for both you and the fiddler as the song ends.
You take Azriel’s hand and make him bow with you. He smiles and shakes his head but humours you. You tip the busker generously and give him a small wave as you continue down the street, still holding onto Azriel’s hand.
As you approach your favourite bakery - Azriel’s mood has lightened. You can still feel the pain but it has lessened significantly.
————
With your treats in hand, you make your way to the Sidra and lean against the wrought iron banister edging the river.
Azriel said he’d get whatever you did - so you opted for two huge brownies with a generous dusting of icing sugar on top.
“These look so good,” you gush, grinning madly at Azriel.
The slice of cake is so thick that your nose brushes it as you take a bite. You cover your mouth as you chew and swallow.
“That is amazing,” you moan, turning to Azriel. “How is yours?”
Azriel takes one look at you - with sugar on your nose and chocolate in your teeth and bursts into a deep laugh.
“It’s brilliant, but how have you already made such a mess?”
“What do you mean?” You ask, “Is there something on my face?”
“Here let me.” He reaches up and brushes your nose softly, wiping away the sugar. “It’s still all in your teeth though.”
“I’m saving that for later,” you say with a wink and the two of you burst out laughing again.
Standing so close to Azriel, you can’t help but admire his gorgeous face. And his eyes - there are less shadows in them.
“Thank you for today,” Azriel says quietly, brushing a stray hair out of your face. “You’re good at that.”
“Good at what?”
“Knowing what I need.” He smiles, “Come on,” he beckons with his head, “Let's get back home before you make more of a mess of yourself.”
