Okay but being mated to Az, Cass, and Nesta but you don’t know and a foreign dignitary comes to stay at the House of Wind with the four of you and Rhys asks you to seduce/be flirty with them and the three of them are absolutely feral trying to keep their jealousy down
Just One Night
Nessian x Azriel x reader
A/n: I’ve been dying to write another fic with these four! They would absolutely want to kill Rhys for this especially Nesta.
Warnings: possessive Nessian & Azriel
Tumblr media
Today is the day. Nesta had decided for the group that today they would tell you about the bond. She was just waiting for you all to get out of a meeting with Rhys and her sister. The last thing Nesta wanted was to confess the bond - and her love for you - in front of Rhys.
Nesta heard the angry footsteps echoing off the marble floor of her mates before she saw them. Setting her book down she tilted her head curiously at their disgruntled looks. The males dropped into their respective arms chairs letting out dejected sighs. Nesta stood with her arms crossed and a raised brow as she looked between the two.
“Well.” She said sharply. Azriel let out a low growl from the back of his throat. She felt his annoyance down the bond and looked to Cassian for an answer. Sighing through his mouth and rubbing the bridge of his nose Cassian bites out, “Rhys is having her seduce the emissary from Montesere. Cyrus Yarrow.”
When they looked up at Nesta those silver flames were dancing with anger in her eyes. Her left one practically twitching. “He’s having her do what?” She growled. Nesta turned on her heel, black dress flaring dramatically. Cassian grabbed her wrist before she could go give Rhys a piece of her mind.
Her fist balled. The first and only warning Cassian would get to release her. Letting go his open hand hovered cautiously. “Wait. She, just…she took the job. She knows what to get from the guy and we won’t let it get farther than that, yeah?” Nesta cracked her neck, letting out an annoyed sigh. “Fine.”
“You don’t want to be overbearing, Nes.” Azriel said. That deep, even voice relaxing her. “You’re right.” She looked back at her mates as Azriel waved her over. His arms open for her. Without hesitating Nesta sat on Azriel’s thigh, resting her head against his chest. “I know you’re impatient,” he says against her hair, “the Mother knows we are too, but we want to make it special for her.”
———
Pulling out the garment bag from your closet a knock sounded at your bedroom door. “Come in!” You hear whom ever enter, shuffling around the room. Nesta poked her head in your closet. You smile at her, “Hey you.” She gives you an equally dazzling smile. For a moment you swear something like love sparkles in her eyes.
Your heart leaped at the thought then quickly sunk. Remembering how in love she is with Cass. Blinking rapidly you plaster that smile back on your face. “What’s up?” You ask lightly. “I thought we could get ready for the ball together.”
You nod vigorously. “I would love that.” You and Mor used to get ready together - Feyre too - until she found Emerie. Usually when Rhys gave you a job for the evening you liked to get ready alone. Being alone lets you think through your plan for the night. Being with Nesta will be a nice change though. She was able to distract you from the awaiting nightmare of Cyrus.
Cyrus Yarrow was renowned for the females he chose to surround himself with. Always beautiful and charming. He was also quite demanding and handsy when he found something he liked. A shiver runs down your spine causing you to shake, your chin dropping to your chest.
Looking back up you saw Nesta had moved closer to your face. Her hand poised to draw with the kohl on your lid. “Are you ok?” You give her a small nod. “Stay still,” she giggled. A warmth bloomed in your chest at the sound.
———
The ball was in full swing. Nesta had stolen you for the first dance before you were swept away by Cyrus. Azriel had grabbed her waist before she could kill the male, dragging her into a waltz she could do in her sleep. Cassian was sending waves of calm to her down the bond. He stepped in for Az once the song was over. Also so Azriel could keep an eye on you for the night.
“Remember what Azriel said, Nes.” She gave him a curt nod, looking over her shoulder for you as they spin around the floor. “Hey,” Cass demanded, taking his hand from her waist to grip her chin. “She is fine. She is capable. I know the instinct to protect her and be by her is intense, we’re feeling it too. But tomorrow, he will be gone.” “Yeah.” She mumbled. Cassian pressed a quick kiss to Nesta’s lips before dipping her dramatically.
Azriel watched from the shadows as you entertained Cyrus. His party from Montesere was nothing like him. Kind and proper as they chatted with Mor and Feyre. His eyes bounced between the groups wanting to make sure that his court was safe. Feyre stood up straighter. A shocked and confused look pulling at her features.
He met his High Lady’s gaze and she tapped on his mental shield wasting no time in updating her spymaster. Cyrus no longer held the power they were told about. His Lord had stripped his title a week ago. This relieved Azriel. It meant he wouldn’t feel guilty about pulling you away from work and that Rhys wouldn’t give him a tongue lashing.
The Shadowsinger was about to step in and save you from Cyrus’s awfulness when a panicked feeling froze him in place. His shadows had reported Nesta and Cassian were safe. He even spotted them smiling and laughing as they danced.
When the realization hit Azriel that it was you projecting your feelings down the bond ran to you, sending his shadows ahead to pull Cyrus off of you. The look of disgust on your face had his instincts to protect you screaming at him to go.
Azriel drew Truth Teller, holding it to Cyrus’s neck. “Back away from my mate.” Azriel said practically roared. The fae around them stopped, gasps sounded through the crowd as they stared. You clung to Azriel’s arm through the whole ordeal. As the word mate left his mouth you stared up at Az, your eyes twinkling with love.
You had always had a crush on Azriel. But Nesta, you thought to yourself. No, you’d let her go. You have Az now. “Mate,” you repeat. Azriel stilled as the realization of the word he just spoke dawned on him. He slowly turned to look at you. The corners of your lip turning up at the his shock.
“Yeah, umm…” His gaze drifted behind you. You followed his gaze to find a stunned Cassian and a fuming Nesta. “Az?” You ask softly. The party had resumed around you as the couple stepped closer. Cassian placed his hands on Nesta’s shoulders in a calming manner. “Why don’t we all go talk somewhere else.” Cass suggested. “Why do we all,” you trail off as Nesta grabs your hand to drag you out of the ball room.
You kept looking between Nesta, Azriel, and Cassian as she leads you to the living quarters of the House of Wind. Her iron grip never leaving you. Entering the main living room Nesta drops your hand making a beeline for the bar cart housing one of Rhys’s expensive bottles of whiskey. Pouring herself a finger she downs the amber liquid in one go.
“I thought,” she started, her tone dangerously calm, “we wanted to make it special. To do something sweet for our mate.” Nesta flashed her perfect canines in a saccharine smile at the males. Azriel’s jaw tightened. His head dropped, clearly frustrated with himself.
You hold his hand with both of yours. Running your thumb across the back of his hand in calming circles. Nesta’s words caught up with your brain. Our, she had said.
You looked at her with wide eyes. “Our? As in all three of you are my mates.” Cassian couldn’t help but grin. “Yeah sweetheart. You have all three of us. We’ve been waiting to tell you and we wanted to make it special. Cyrus just got in the way.” You covered your mouth as happy tears lined your eyes. That warm feeling in your chest that appeared with Nesta earlier returning. The bond glowing fiercely as it branched out to all three of them.
You sink on to the plush couch taking in the information. You have been blessed with three mates. Each one you were madly in love with. And you get to love them all for the rest of your life!
Cassian came to sit beside you. He wrapped an arm around your shoulders pulling you into his side. You could sense the apology on his lips before he could even say it. Cassian has always been too apologetic for his own good. You grabbed his hand resting on his thigh. “I’m not mad. I am incredibly happy to hear this.” Cassian’s head dropped to rest on yours. Azriel takes the spot next to you wrapping his arms around your waist pressing a kiss to your cheek.
You stare at Nesta who hadn’t moved an inch since you entered the room. You wave her over to join couch snuggles, tugging on the bond to entice her. Nesta ran at you. Jumping to straddle your lap and pushing Cass and Az off you. You hugged her tightly inhaling her scent of fire and steel masked by the vanilla and almond perfume she wears.
“I love you so much, y/n.” She whispered just for you to hear. “I love you, Nes. With all my heart.” You whispered back, just for her to hear.

a present
Nessian x f!Reader
Summary: “Take if off” with Nessian
Warnings: smut, oral (f!receiving), minors dni please!
A/N: for this!
“You’ll watch us tonight,” Nesta told Cassian, the door opening and shutting as the two entered.
The words caught your attention, and you quickly finished the paragraph of the book you were reading - it wasn’t that interesting in comparison, closing it to see her cover your line of sight, the arches of Cassian’s wings visible beyond her. Winking at you, before sliding between you and the headboard, shifting you between your legs, you noticed hair was already loose from its usual crown.
“If that’s alright with you, love,” she murmured in your ear.
You twisted to meet her eyes, noting the mischievous glint, and pressed a quick kiss to her lips. “Of course.”
Generally, Nesta’s schemes against Cassian, especially to tease him, ended rather well for you.
Her fingers gathered the edges of your nightgown. She slowly slid the fabric up, unveiling you like a present for him. She’d stop every few inches, run her fingers back and forth over her skin, use her thumbs to rub circles into zones you didn’t know could be erogenous.
Cassian broke his silent observing just as her hands reached your stomach. “Take it off,” he growled from the doorway, arms crossed over his chest and visibly struggling with restraint. “Please, Nes,” he added when her hands stopped.
“I thought I said you’d be watching,” she teased, and he threw his head back in a groan.
“Don’t make him suffer too long, love,” you cut in. And make you suffer, you left unsaid.
Nesta hummed, but quickly slid the rest of the fabric up and over your shoulders, tossing it to the side. One hand slid under your thigh, pulling your leg up over hers, leaving you very exposed, and you heard Cassian’s breathing pick up.
A cool breeze brushed right against your core, dragging a whimper from you. Nesta let out a low laugh, and you yelped as she dragged your other leg over hers, spreading her knees as far as you could handle.
“You want a taste?” She asked Cassian, her voice a low purr.
He didn’t bother answering her, instead crossed the room in a few strides, before kneeling between your legs.
Hazel eyes found yours, searching for permission, all you could manage - with Nesta’s fingers now twisting and pinching your nipples - was a nod and a breathy “yes,” it was enough for Cassian.
One hand parting your folds, he dragged his tongue up your center, pausing at the apex of your thighs, “fuck you taste incredible,” he moaned.
You wiggled your hips as much as you could, trying to push yourself against his mouth. He laughed, one hand coming up to pin your hips back against Nesta. One finger teased against your entrance in painfully slow circles, and you couldn’t have pressed forward if you wanted to, now that Nesta had one arm across your lower stomach in an iron grip.
What started as something fun to tease Cassian was quickly turning back on you. In reality, the teasing probably lasted less than five minutes but with the pressure slowly building in your stomach it felt like years.
“Am I going to have to do it for you?” Nesta taunted him.
He snarled, at the idea of you being taken away from him, but finally started pushing you towards relief. Your attempted thanks to Nesta was drowned out by the moans falling from your lips.
You didn’t have it in you to be embarrassed with how quickly you finished, his fingers curving to hit the perfect spot, teeth nipping at your clit. Cassian slowed his movements as you rode out your orgasm, Nesta whispering praises in your ear.
“Let’s get you cleaned up,” Nesta murmured after you managed to regain some control of your breathing, your legs still shaking.
Cassian’s arms slid between the two of you, snatching you from her - he was already halfway to the bath, one you heard the house start to run, before Nesta’s indignant yelp could be heard.
“She’ll get back at you for this,” you mumbled, head against his chest. For some reason, one of Nesta’s favorite little things was to carry you off towards a bath after. The two of you would joke it’s because she ‘couldn’t do it to that big oaf,’ but you both knew she liked to take care of you.
“And you’ll keep benefiting from it,” he pressed a kiss against your forehead.
The House was undeniably on Nesta’s side, considering the water was ice cold when Cassian dipped his fingers in to test it.
“That’s what you get,” Nesta said from the doorway.

Nessian x mate!reader: Good Things Come In Threes
A/N: Based of this ask. I am planning on making a part two where the bond snaps for everyone, so I’ll try and get around to that asap!
It had taken you a long time to come around to them.
A very long time.
It wasn’t that you hated them, or didn’t want to be with them, more that it had never occurred to you to seek out a partner. So to realise you could have two was a revelation. And like most children of Prythian, you’d grown up with stories of not lovers, not husbands and wives, but mates. To find one is to find your world, but to find two? Unheard of.
Nesta had figured it out first, and with Rhys still showering her with gifts, it was no struggle to have him seek out a book that held the information she desired. She’d brought the news straight to Cassian, guessing that if she was feeling the effects of a second bond, then somewhere within him, he would be too.
They’d pondered tirelessly how to bring it up with you: whether they should just tell you outright? Have one of them broach the subject with you and if so, which one? To leave it until you noticed? Or to ignore it completely?
The trouble was, you were difficult to read at the best of times, often not shifting a single one of your features even as you made—what they had come to realise were—jokes. It had gotten to the point they thought it would be best to leave you be, no matter how much they wanted to welcome you into their bond. But when Cassian had caught you sharpening your blades in the Spymaster’s company, both of you grinning in that quiet, secretive way, he knew he wouldn’t be able to stand it. Not when—as soon as you’d spotted him—the grin had vanished, unreadable once again as your shoulders stiffened.
And after that, it had only served to bring their attention to how you’d been quietly avoiding them—slipping out of rooms with a small look toward the Shadowsinger, an excuse that you needed to prepare for a mission, or you needed to leave in time for your job. The list went on.
Maybe you’d already realised the bond, and simply weren’t interested. The thought didn’t sit well with either of them. Which had lead to Cassian knocking rather stiffly on Azriel’s office door that night, hoping he could provide an insight. He seemed to be the closest with you—much to his envy.
The door swings open, and Cassian has to restrain his jealousy when he spots his brother at his desk, with you leaning casually against it with your feet crossed at the ankles. Again, that small smile slides from your lips, dropping to the floor at the sight of him in the doorway. He swallows against the slight sting of pain, remembering what he came here for.
“Have a moment, Az?” He calls as casually as possible, trying to appear normal and not like he’s burning with jealousy that he’s found you yet again in the company of his brother—looking for all the world you’re enjoying yourself with him.
You both share a look, some silent conversation happening that he has to remind himself not to demand to be let in on. Once, it had been just the two of them—Rhys as well, of course, but he wasn’t always there at Windhaven—but now Azriel’s attention seems to be swaying more heavily to you. Gods, is this how he’d made Az feel when Mor had come along?
“I should get some shut eye, anyway,” you finally mutter to the Spymaster, and move to leave, not so much as greeting, or simply acknowledging him as you brush past. He might as well have been invisible; even Azriel’s brows narrow almost imperceptibly. Maybe that’s why his words come out a slight bit harsher than he’d intended once you’ve made your escape. “You seem cushy together.”
Azriel’s eyes flick to his, sensing the accusatory undertone. “I’m not positioning myself between the two of you, you know,” he says instead, remaining infuriatingly calm. “What did you want to talk about?” And Cassian just knows that his brother is being intentionally difficult. “Do you know why she acts so cold towards me and Nesta?” He voices, shutting the door behind him as he takes the spot where you had been.
The Shadowsinger’s eyes don’t stray from his reports, “why don’t you ask her?”
“Do you know?” He repeats, sensing something’s being kept from him. He doesn’t like that, not one bit—the idea of you sharing secrets with his brother. Keeping him out of it.
“Maybe she’s said something to me, maybe she hasn’t. What’s it to you, Cassian?” The bastard still isn’t looking at him, and it’s beginning to make him antsy. “I think it’s perfectly understandable to want to know why she avoids us so much, Azriel.”
“Is she avoiding you?”
“Don’t play stupid,” Cassian barks, hands fisting at his sides. An action he knows his brother marks. The bastard smiles faintly. “I’d have thought as my brother, you’d be willing to help,” he snaps, “but it seems you’re picking her over us, huh?”
Finally, Azriel shifts in his chair, leaning back with a casualness that bothers Cassian, how nonchalant he is about this whole matter. He clearly knows how much it’s bothering him—yet he’s only adding to the problem. Why? “I’m not the one taking sides here, Cass,” Azriel drawls evenly. Cassian’s brow narrows at his words, “and I am?” The Spymaster’s lips quirks again, and he has to fight the urge to slam his fist into his brother’s jaw—he’d wait for answers before taking his frustrations out.
Instead of answering, though, Azriel changes the subject. “Just ask her. She’ll appreciate the directness.”
“And how am I supposed to ask her when she practically sprints from every room I walk into, huh? Do you have an answer to that, Azriel?” He snaps, temper fraying at the edges. Something glints in his brothers eyes, forming an expression that makes him see red, “wound a bit tight, Cass?” It has enough of a bite to snap him out of his momentary lapse in judgement. But all this stress—not knowing what’s going on with you, if they’ve done something wrong—it’s making things difficult.
Cassian drags a hand through his hair, looking away for a moment, brows narrowing. Then, “you really think she’ll be fine if I just ask her? ‘Hey, we hardly know each other because you seem to run from me every time I so much as breathe in your direction, but is there a reason you seem to hate even being in the same room as me—or Nes?’” Azriel gives him a look that reads, no, and you know damn well that’s not what you’d say.
“Then what?” Cassian snaps, glaring at his brother.
“Just knock on her door. If she’s not in there, then she’ll either be out, or in the library since she’s not here,” Azriel says, and he doesn’t miss the hint—you spend a fair amount of time in his office. Fire burns in the pit of his stomach but he calms it. He needs to be level-headed for this, especially if he wants to make sure he doesn’t screw it up.
Cassian nods to himself, turning and leaving silently. He can practically hear Azriel roll his eyes, but he decides to ignore it—he needs to talk to you, find out what’s going on it that head of yours.
————
After a brief catch-up with Nesta, they both head to your door the following day, knocking quietly in case for some reason you aren’t yet awake—though the sun is fairly high in the sky. They share a look when they’re met with silence, wondering if you’re pretending to be asleep to avoid them.
Cassian raises his hand to knock again, but—
“Is there something you need?”
Neither of them flinch overtly, but instead share a mutual moment of surprise through the bond. Of course Azriel would have been teaching you stealth techniques.
And now you’re moving toward them down the hallway, Cassian firmly planting his feet on the floorboards, equidistant from one another. Beside him, Nesta settles into a similar position. “We want to talk to you. Both of us,” Nesta says calmly, features neutral as she takes you in. “Both of you,” you repeat, eyes flicking between them. “One of you wouldn’t have sufficed?” You ask pointedly, gaze darting to your door with clear intent.
“Not for this,” Nesta replies. “There are some things that need to be cleared up. I think you realise that too. Isn’t that why you’re avoiding us?” She asks, clearly. She’ll appreciate the directness, Azriel had said.
Your eyes narrow warily, moving between them and the door. “Let me put my things away, then I’ll see you in the kitchen,” you say, not waiting for them to move as you brush past Cassian’s side, shutting the door firmly behind you.
In your wake, they exchange glances. But as they turn to leave, they pause. A small spark flickers from a third direction—tense, but hopeful. Cassian blows out a breath, following behind Nesta as she makes her way to the kitchen—your suggested meeting point.
————
It takes you longer than normal to set your bags down on the table and put everything away with the adrenaline in your blood. You wonder what they want to talk about.
They’ve taken the seats that face the nearest exit—so you’ll be closer—watching as you come in. Watch as you sit down. “What did you want to talk about?”
The two fae before you exchange glances. Directness.
Nesta sets her hands on the table, spine straightening as she meets your eyes. Takes a breath. “We think the mating bond extends to you, too.”
You blink. “What?”
Nesta doesn’t falter, “our mating bond.” She gestures between her and Cassian, “we think it includes you, too.”
You blink again, “oh. I see.” You shift in your chair, leaning forward ever so slightly. “And you called this meeting because?”
“We wanted to know if you’d realised,” Cassian says steadily. “If you’d felt anything on your side.”
Your gaze runs over them, weighing; assessing. “I’d felt something,” you admit, “but what makes you think it’s a mating bond? Those are shared between a couple, they don’t go for threes.”
“Actually,” Nesta speaks this time, “mating bonds join equals, connecting those fate or the Mother believes belong together. Originally, that was the only condition, but with the rise of civilisation and society, ideas of marriage were pushed onto the concept of the mating bond. In the earlier centuries marriage was strictly between a husband and wife, purely heterosexual and monogamous, and so those views became ingrained in the modern idea of how the mating bond functions,” she explains. “But that’s wrong. A mating bond was never limited to two individuals, was never limited to male and female,” She finishes, watching you carefully.
Like Nesta you don’t stutter or stumble, just take her words in at your own pace. “Okay, so your mating bond extends to me. Do you want me to join, or promise to stay out of your business?” Your scent has shifted ever so slightly, along with your posture as you readjust in the chair.
Right. If you’ve admitted you’ve been aware of something tugging at your soul, then it’s reasonable to assume you’ve been able to sense whenever they’ve…
You realise they’ve made the connection between your confession and the slight flush heating your features. “I haven’t purposely sought those senses out,” you add hurriedly, sensing their mild shock, “they just sometimes wash over me—I don’t know how to block them out. And it felt too personal to ask Feyre, or even Rhys.” You look between them again, and a spark of nerves skitters from your side of the bond.
“That aside,” Nesta somehow manages, pushing away the thought of you being able to feel either of their pleasure—at all times of day. How much do you know about their coupling? How they like to play it in bed? “To be perfectly transparent, we hadn’t got to that point. As far as we were aware, you had no idea this connection even existed, and your behaviour was confusing.”
Your brow furrows ever so slightly, the smallest contraction of muscle, “how so?”
“You weren’t exactly subtle in your recent avoidance of us. Is that when you started to realise that there was something more between us?” Nesta asks, holding your gaze calmly. You swallow down your nerves, trying to calm yourself as your heart begins to accelerate. “I was developing feelings that were new to me. I didn’t know what they were, an to be honest, they made me feel uncomfortable. Disgusted, sometimes. So I think it was a reasonable response to have. As far as I was aware, you were a perfectly happy, mated couple that I had no business tampering with. Or invading.”
“So, it wasn’t out of a dislike for us,” Cassian says slowly, processing, “but rather you felt guilty for having a seemingly open pathway into our relationship.” You nod in confirmation, then flush a little.
“Have you ever felt anything from my end?” You ask.
“Occasionally a spark or two, like when you were with my brother yesterday,” Cassian answers, hiding his jealousy well.
“I sometimes feel a tug in the mornings—when Cass’s still asleep, so it couldn’t have come form him—but I can’t tell the emotion behind it,” Nesta adds on.
Your eyes again flick between them, teeth finding the inside of your lip. “You’ve never felt anything else? No…?” You trail off, and it takes a moment for them to figure out what you’re asking. “It’s not directed at you,” you hurriedly tack on, “it’s just a bother to go through a day with that in the back of your mind.”
“No,” Cassian answers, a little hoarsely, “we haven’t.” His throat woks as he stares at you, hands fisting on his thighs beneath the table. You nod to yourself, relieved they haven’t been able to sense you scratching that itch. Rare as it is for you to fall for that temptation.
“About how to progress from here,” Nesta diverts, getting a handle on the tension that had begun to thicken. “I’m sure one of our siblings would be happy to help in blocking out the senses—if that’s the direction you want to move in.”
“What other direction is there?” You ask carefully, watching them a little warily.
Cassian and Nesta share a look across from you, something passing between them that you can only catch the edge of. Their gazes return to you, and you can feel your hairs rise. Skin prickling. “We trust in the Mother’s choice,” Cassian admits slowly, attempting to select his words carefully but you can practically see the cogs turning in his mind as he tries to sort through the correct way to phrase what he’s wanting to say.
But, directness.
He sighs, shoulders loosing their tension as he leans back in his chair, giving Nesta a signal to take over. He doesn’t know what to say—she’s better suited for this task.
“We’d like you to join, but if you would rather take up lessons in strengthening your mental shields, we will not interfere with you anymore,” she says. Straightforward. But then you nod, as if in acceptance, “I think I would like that, then.”
Cassian stares between the two of you—how quickly that was sorted through. Maybe directness really was the solutions to his problems. He can practically picture Azriel’s shit-eating grin at the realisation he was right about you.
“Right,” Nesta breaks the silence, her voice slightly rough around the edges as something warm spills across the bond. “Well, we’ll take it slowly and see what happens. Is that fine with you?”
You nod, but add, “I’m not…” Your eyes dart about the room, as if debating telling them. Cassian sits a little straighter while Nesta leans forward openly. “I’m not that interested in sex. It’s never been a topic of interest for me. So I might… I’m not sure what ideas you had regarding intimacy, but I thought it better to be upfront about this.”
“Of course,” Nesta reassures, even if the slightest flicker of disappointment reaches Cassian’s side of the bond. “If you’d rather stay clear of that side of things, that’s fine. I’m sure we’ll find a way to work around the frenzy when the bond properly clicks,” she soothes, glancing at Cassian who nods in agreement.
“It’s not a hatred, or repulsion, or anything like that,” you say, quickly. “I wouldn’t mind trying, or it actually happening if it will help ease any tension brewing. I know it’s supposed to be more intense for the males—I don’t want to make things complicated.”
Cassian’s mind goes a little silent at the offer. Beside him, Nesta’s stiffened—so you won’t detect her scent, he realises. Good idea on her part. He copies her lead. “I suppose we’ll take that one when we get to it,” he says to you, offering a tentative smile designed to set people at ease.
They’re both relieved when your shoulders relax, hearing the soft puff of breath from your lips as you settle back in your chair. “Yeah,” you agree, “maybe that would be better. Let things happen as they’re supposed to.”

Mates | nessian x reader
Summary: breaking the news to the inner circle that you, Nesta and Cassian are mates.
Warnings: swearing, some of the inner circle simply being themselves, sex references and comments.
A/n: this is entirely self indulgent I’ve been dreaming about them all day.
Three days ago you had felt the mating bond snap into place with both Nesta and Cassian. You were all completely confused at first, questioning if it was really even possible. Rhys had confirmed it, telling the three of you that it was rare and that had been that. You’d spent three glorious days tangled up in bed with the two of them, entirely grateful to the cauldron for giving them to you. Cassian decided you would tell the rest of the group at dinner that night, much to Nedra’s disgust, telling Cassian he should go and she would keep you all to herself.
An hour later you had arrived at Rhys house in the city, where the rest of the inner circle awaited you. Nesta went straight for the wine, saying a pleasant hello to her sister, the recent events putting her in an alarmingly good mood. You had hovered by Cassian as he greeted his brothers and then called the attention of the group. Nesta walked over and stood next to you, looking entirely disinterested in the others.
“We’re mates.” He had said, taking a heavy breath. Mor had scoffed.
“Yes we are well aware you and Nesta are mates.” She giggled but Rhys was just nodding Cassian on.
“The three of us are mates.” That had Mor spitting her wine out all over Azriel next to her.
“That’s… how is that possible?” Feyre asked, turning to her mate. Rhys explained for you as Cassian let out a sigh, his hand creeping to the small of your back. You smiled up at him and held your hand out at Nesta, who took it.
“It’s happened before, three mates, but it’s very rare. Especially when two were already mated.” You’d had your hesitation about getting involved in an already developed relationship but Nesta had kissed you with such ferocity you’d let the thought fly out the window.
“Can we just eat.” Nesta has asked with her familiar curtness, her hand snaking overtop the hand Cassian had resting on your lower back. You sighed into the embrace of the two of them, both pressed against you. The mating bond was still early days and so you felt starved of touch and pleasure constantly, you were insatiable.
“Great.” Mor had started, chugging her wine. “Dinner and a live sex show.” Nesta had growled at that, snapping her head to the blonde woman who loved to provoke her.
“Let’s just eat.” Cassian said, walking you over to the table. You sat in between the both of them, Cassian had his arm resting over the back of your chair and Nesta had her hands planted firmly on the table, not wanting to show affection to those she barely tolerated. You only smiled at her as her legs entangled with hers, her way of showing you she cared.
You had enjoyed a peaceful meal, Nesta talking to her sister about your recent bond, sparing most of the lewd details when she saw Feyres shocked face, clearly not expecting her sister to be so dirty.
“I suppose if it had to be any of us.” She had laughed, her soft smile and warm laugh similar to her sisters, of who’s you were addicted to. The highlord had spun to his mate and raised his eyebrows.
“We get up to plenty of fun stuff Feyre darling,” the highlady had rolled her eyes, interlocking her hand with her mates.
“Not like they do.” She had said with a scoff. Rhys only smirked.
“Believe me if I could have to of you in my bed I’d love it.” She had flushed pink and gone back to her wine, wanting to end the discussion. Mor clearly didn’t.
“How does it work?” Mor had asked. Cassian swallowed his food and began to explain.
“It just does, we’re mates it’s just the way we feel.” Mor had rolled her eyes.
“I’m asking about sex cass.” She had told him, amren raised her black eyebrow, also eager to know more. “Who tops and who bottoms?” Was her first question but she answered it for herself. “Nesta seems like she can do both, and Cass I know you can.” He rolled his eyes and you couldn’t help the jealousy rising up in your throat, gripping onto his large hand. “But y/n doesn’t seem to be very in charge in that department.” Your mouth had dropped open in shock and outrage.
“That’s so untrue! I could easily be a top!” You had protested, Nesta chuckled into her glass and you snapped your head to her. “Do you not think I could?” You asked her, eyebrows furrowed. She put down her glass and cupped your cheek.
“I don’t mean to be hurtful, it’s just the truth dove.” You had looked up at her, lips slightly parted as you nodded slightly, accepting defeat. She let go of your face and looked over at Cassian who was shaking his head with a small smirk, knowing his mates tendancies. Cassian liked her roughness, liked the challenge that came with Nesta and she enjoyed giving him it, but you… you liked her soft side, where she gave into your whims and called you pretty names, always insisting on having a hand somewhere on you. It was a side she mostly reserved for you.
Cassian with his complete lack of shame, gave Mor a more satisfying answer. “Nesta and I tend to take control, occasionally one of us loses it but y/n is always the one being ordered around, she likes it much better that way.” He turned to you, fiddling with the top of your (his) knitted jumper. You flushed bright red, looking down at your plate. Nesta creeped a hand across to grab onto yours and pull it towards her. She leaned back in her chair as she finished eating and began to fiddle with your fingers as the group asked Cassian all sorts of questions, you only focused on her. She looked up to find her sister staring at her with a sweet smile on her face. Nesta had instantly furrowed her face, the sweetness gone.
“What?” She had mouthed, Feyre had answered her with a bigger smile, one that said she was happy for her sister, and turned back to the others.
After dinner had finished everyone walked towards the living room, throwing themselves on the sofas. Nesta had wanted to leave but Cassian told her she could wait an hour, teasing her restraint in a way that he would pay for later. Cassian had trudged over to an empty sofa and sat in the corner, stretching out his wings. Nesta had followed soon after, sitting next to him quietly. You went to sit down next to her but they both grabbed your arms, pulling you on top of the two of them. You sighed, giving up on being embarrassed and laid back, enjoying the warmth of Cassian and the soft touch of Nesta as she curled a hand over your waist. Cassian and Nesta enjoyed one more drink but you only zoned out, thinking about them, about what you had done all day and what you wanted to do when you got home. Your daydreaming was interrupted by Mor, claiming it was her last question.
“What are they both like, to you.” She asked, raising her eyebrows as he placed her hands on her lap.
“Well…” you began. “Cassian is nicer in bed.” You started. Nesta shook her head.
“He can’t say no to you.” Nesta corrected, Cassian rolled his eyes at Nesta as his wing curled around her slightly. You ignored her comment and kept talking.
“But Nesta is… well meaner during sex.” She interrupted you yet again.
“You like that I’m mean to you, you both do.” She said as she finished the very dregs of her wine. Cassian had no argument, not even when his brothers raised their eyebrows at him.
“I would have said that myself if you hadn’t interrupted me.” You huffed, a small act of defiance neither of them were expecting. Cassian shook his head at his mates cool expression, not even looking at you, the only evidence of her annoyance being the tighter grip on your waist.
“I think it’s time we go.” Cassian had said and you had stood, his hand going back to its resting place at the small of your back. Rhys rolled his eyes at the sight as Nesta placed her glass on the coffee table and bid a curt farewell to her sister.
“Be nice.” Feyre had said, eyes twinkling in amusement of her older sister. Nesta only shook her head, it had you fearful and aroused at whatever torture she was currently planning for you in her head. You were almost gone when you heard someone come in from outside, you all turned around to see Elain stood there, covered in mud holding a lantern. She took in the sight before her with confusion.
“I’m sorry I missed dinner I had no idea you were here nes.” Nesta smiled at her sister telling her it was fine and that you were leaving. “What’s?…” elain asked, trailing of in confusion as she saw the three of you touching.
“We’re mates, the three of us. Yes it’s possible it’s just rare. So lovely to see you but if you’ll excuse us I have to deal with an attitude problem,” she walked off at that and you very obediently followed her, clinging on to Cassians arm, hoping he would take more mercy on you than she would tonight. He probably wouldn’t, he’d enjoy the show of Nesta toying with you.

Creator showcase# 3: @thesistersarcheron!
Also know as miss_belivet on AO3.
We are featuring her multichapter Nessriel fic titled "viciousness & intelligence", part 1 of her "swords & shadow" series. This fic follows Nesta, Cassian, and Azriel as they realize Nesta and Cassian's lesser fae mating bond may follow different, more complex, rules than the typical high fae mating bond. Here's an excerpt from the fic description:
"After the ball in the Hewn City, Nesta and Cassian swore to each other that there would be no one else. Ever. They didn't account for Azriel."
This fic is beautifully written and explores the practical, emotional, and sexual aspects of a relationship between three canon characters. The dynamics intricately woven, and the story is an excellent new take on fated mates. Keep a weather eye on the horizon for new chapters!
We asked her a few questions so we could all get to know her better:
Q: What’s your favorite CNM group to write about?
A: My favorite poly ship is Nessriel, maybe for obvious reasons. Cassian and Azriel already have such a solid bond as brothers-in-arms when Nesta comes in to shake things up for Cassian. And then, the quiet, gentle friendship and respect that grew between Nesta and Azriel in ACOSF and HOFAS? That absolutely clinched it for me.
Q: What CNM group would you want to explore further?
A:  Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about Feysandriel. Rhys is a giver (he does, after all, try to test the waters with Feyre about how she might feel about bringing Cassian and Azriel into their relationship), and Feyre is a lover through and through. I imagine it can be quite compelling for them to see something in Azriel—maybe the darkness all three of them share, maybe the longing for romantic connection or the desire to be seen—that they want to explore. The mating bond seems settled between Feysand, but with the tension currently simmering between Rhys and Azriel, it could just be so interesting to tease out whatever dynamic might emerge as they add a third partner.
Q: What’s your favorite trope?
A: My favorite trope is pretty basic, but I love dramatic “that’s my wife!” or “that’s my mate!” reveals. Secret relationships and forbidden love rarely fall flat for me. It’s one reason I’ll rarely complain that SJM always has her couples elope.
Thank you so much to thesistersarcheron/miss_belivet for taking the time to speak with us. Your works are wonderful, and we are so excited to see what you write next!
Poly+ ACOTAR week is only TWO weeks away now! We can't wait to share new creations with you all!

a/n: hello everyone! today is the first day of the 25 days of T.S.! i've worked so hard on this one (like I've had multiple drafts) and I hope you all enjoy each of these fics as I post them. they will all be posted at 13:13 EST every day up until Solstice!
pairing(s): cassian x nesta x fem!reader
wc: 2.1k+
warning(s): swearing, angst, two-mate trope, depression, implied smut, and y/n's brother being an asshole.
~~~~~
Maybe this wasn’t how Y/N’s life was supposed to be. Her brother expected more from her but as she lay in a stranger's bed, she didn’t give a damn about expectations. The years that have passed since her father died made her more and more miserable. Devlon made it his mission to keep her away from other males—at having an actual life. Her father would have approved of the “no male” situation but not having a life? No, he wouldn’t have wanted that for her.
All the demons she escaped in the past had slowly started to haunt her again. She’s tried drowning herself in chores and books but all it did was push the inevitable. The inevitable that she would fall apart again. Devlon made it clear to her that her only purpose was to have children and do the chores. How was she supposed to have children if he didn’t give any of the males she took interest in a chance?
Y/N pressed the heels of her palms into her eyes and sighed. When she sat up, she looked around the dingy apartment and located her clothes. The male she had slept with was less attractive than he was when she decided to go home with him. His brown hair pointed in different directions and his mouth hung open as he snored. Quickly, she found her boots. One had been on his kitchen counter and the other on his lounge chair.
If she hurried, she would be able to get back before her Devlon did. He was usually up and out the door by the time she awoke in the mornings, so he wouldn’t know that she was gone. Her fingers curled around the knob gently and opened the door slowly, doing her best not to make a sound.
Once she was out the door and onto the trail that led back to her house, she finally let herself breathe. Goosebumps rose on her skin as the chilly morning air bit into her skin through her coat. She tucked her coat tighter around her and trudged even further into the forest.
Soft laughter floated through the air around her. Her eyes dart around the wooded area but when she turned the corner, she found who the laughter had belonged to. Long golden hair pinned into a crown glowed in the sunlight while the Illyrian male stretched out his wings. They were her friends, Cassian and Nesta. A smile tugged at her lips but at the memory of her brother’s demands, she repressed the happiness and walked past them.
Devlon had told her to stay away from the General and his circle. The only thing he had said was that they were cruel and didn’t care about anyone but themselves. Y/N knew that wasn’t true, but she still had to obey his order. She didn’t want to think about what would happen if she didn’t follow his orders.
“Y/N!” Nesta called. Y/N wanted to stop and talk with her close friends but she only kept walking. Her eyes stung and her throat was tight. She knew this was going to hurt them and her but she had to do it. The crunch of snow under her boots stopped when she turned to face the Valkyrie and tears threatened to spill down her face,
“Hi Nesta, I can’t talk right now,” Y/N said, and her voice nearly cracked from the pressure of pain. They had been there for her since she had first met them and here she was—about to break their hearts. “I actually can’t talk to any of your circle anymore,” she choked out. Nesta knitted her brows together and then looked at her mate.
“Why? Did Devlon—”
“No. Devlon didn’t do anything,” she lied. The lie must have shown on her face because Cassian’s fist closed then reopened. His hazel eyes had the ghost of hurt and disbelief in them and Y/N desperately wanted to take back the lie and say “Sike!” but she couldn’t. Not now.
Nesta took a step forward while Y/N took a step back. “I’m sorry,” Y/N said. Without another word, she dashed up the trail and into her house. She leaned her back against the hardwood of the door and when she opened her eyes, she saw Devlon watching her. His jaw was clenched and so was his fist. Shit. She was in deep shit.
Y/N knew she should’ve taken the back door or waited until he was asleep and dealt with the scolding then. But, she was there now and she can’t rewind her decisions.
“Hi,” she squeaked. Her brother glared at her as a muscle in his jaw ticked.
“That’s it? Hi?” Devlon scoffed and clutched his cup of whiskey and with one swift move, he downed his drink and then slammed the glass back down on the table. The impact made Y/N jump and it should have broken the glass but somehow it stayed in one piece. “Where the fuck were you?” Her brother snapped. When she looked over at her older brother, mud was smeared over his boots and across his leathers. She knew he would have her clean them for him and the rest of the house for that matter.
“I was having a night walk and I had a drink or two then met up with a friend.” Y/N didn’t fully lie to her brother but it wasn’t the full truth either. Anger still radiated from his features when she gave him her signature innocent smile but it didn’t ease the heat that came from him.
“Someone could have hurt you, Y/N,” he said after a few long moments of strained silence. The fake caring hurt more than she thought it would.
“Well, I’m okay. I’ll get started on my chores,” she offered but Devlon stopped her.
“You ever sneak out again, I’ll make sure you won’t leave this house again.” Her brother stood from the table and Y/N stepped out of her brother's way when he walked out the door. She didn’t notice her heart had been racing the whole time but it wasn’t surprising. Her head throbbed and her body just wanted to go back to sleep and start over.
“I don’t care. I’m fine, as you see.” You said. The inward impact of those words made your throat feel tight and dry. “I’m going to bed. I’ll do my chores when I wake up. Goodnight.” You said as you made your way up the stairs and to your room.
***
For the past three days, Nesta and Cassian had made it their mission to seek Y/N out. She knew that they knew something was wrong. She stayed away as much as she could but those two, the stubborn pair they are, wouldn’t leave her alone. She knew they cared deeply for her and wanted to make sure she was okay but they were going to get her in trouble if they showed up at the wrong time.
Speak of the devils, Cassian and Nesta land in front of her. She yelped when Cassian’s boots hit the ground in front of her. With a huff, Y/N crossed her arms in front of her and watched as the pair turned toward her. Cassian let go of a very angry Nesta and Y/N couldn’t help but think it was because of her.
“Stay right there and do not move until I’m done speaking,” Nesta demanded. Her eyes were stormy and her hair was in its usual pinned-up state but with some flyaways. There was a shake in her voice that made Y/N very aware of how angry she was. So Y/N stood and waited for her friend to talk.
“Okay, I don’t know why you’re running from us but I’m assuming it’s because of Devlon and what he’s told you but we love you. All of us do. Especially me and Cass. You keep running from us but haven’t you stopped to think about why we keep coming back? Haven’t you noticed that we’ve been fighting for you since the first time we met you and even now when you still choose to push us away?” Tears ran down the Valkyrie’s face as she took another step toward Y/N.
“Y/N, we’re your mates and you keep running from us, why?” The keyword in Cassian’s sentence stood out to her like it was wrapped in plated gold. There was always this myth of someone who could have two mates but Y/N didn’t expect it to be her.
Y/N looked to the tavern just behind them and let out a sigh of relief. She had been trying her hardest to get through life without her friends and now mates. When Y/N looked at Nesta and Cassian again, she could only smile. Of course, the Mother gave them to her.
“Why were you ignoring us?” Cassian asked with a hint of violence in his tone. Y/N knew it wasn’t meant toward her but toward the person who made her stay away. She walked up to her mates and the tears in her eyes made it almost impossible to see them.
“I’m so sorry I had to stay away. He was only trying to protect me,”
“Protect you? Devlon kept you from your mates, how is that protecting?” Nesta took a shaky breath and clenched her fists until her knuckles were white.
“He made a promise to our father a long time ago when he was still alive. He promised to keep me safe and cared for. He’s overprotective, yes, and controlling but I tend to believe he has good intentions. I’m not excusing his actions, I just know where they’re coming from.”
“He wouldn’t do all this if he didn’t care about his promise to our father. I was my father’s angel and he made Devlon promise to protect me. Devlon didn’t want anything to do with me when I was born or even now. He rather I be gone but he’s not going to give up his word to our dad.” Y/N finally took a breath and wrapped her arms around herself, “He’s not doing it for me.”
Cassian’s eyes flared, “You’re his little sister, he should do it for you.” Y/N lifted a shoulder and let it fall back down.
“He doesn’t. I learned that a long time ago and I’ve learned that it’s not going to change so, I forced myself to get a life and to make my own decisions. I planned on talking with you two again, matter-of-fact, I was going to look for you two today and talk and explain.” She paused. “What I want to know is how long have you two known about me being your mate?”
Cassian looked to Nesta and then back to Y/N solemnly. Nesta placed a hand on Y/N’s bicep and with her other hand, she cupped her face.
“We’ve known since we met you that first night, here at this exact tavern.” Chills ran up Y/N’s arms as she watched the two look at each other and then back at her. “We wanted to tell you as soon as we found out but we went to Devlon first. We wanted to follow tradition and ask the male first since you did grow up in an Illyrian household. We wanted to show respect but he only kept you away from us.”
“Devlon knew?” Y/N’s voice cracked and more tears began to brim in her eyes. Her brother had known she had mates but he wanted to keep them from her and her from them. She swallowed down the lump in her throat and took another shaky breath,
“I suppose I should have guessed that that would happen,” Y/N said as a nervous laugh came out. Nesta and Cassian enveloped her in their arms and held her for what felt like centuries. Once she had her breathing leveled out, she looked up at the two of them and smiled.
“You two are going to shit yourselves when I tell you what I’ve done these past couple of days,” She laughed. Cassian howled with laughter as did Nesta.
“We’ll talk about that later. First, we need to get you home and settled in. I really don’t want you living with that asshole anymore. Plus aren’t mated females supposed to move in with their mates?” Nesta looked to Cassian but he only provided a nod.
“That’s what I thought.” Nesta’s smile was wicked as she walked toward the tavern. “Let’s have a drink first though. It’s been a long day,”
Y/N looked at Cassian and laughed then followed her mate. It was time for her to make her own path and it just so happened to be with two warriors. She may have been the anti-hero in her brother’s book but she could be a hero in hers.
[just to be clear i am nowhere near a writer lol]
but nessian x reader? godly
• best believe they would tease the shit out of you “aw… is someone feeling needy? too bad” and then would make out in front of you just to prove a point that they’re in charge and you just have to sit and take whatever it is they decide to give you
• they will have you completely naked and they would be fully clothed. with intense sessions with cassian and nesta you’d even be tied up with rope & blindfolded
• when they are finally ready to give you what you so desperately need are you in for a ride, but not without making you beg for it.
• “please, touch me. i’ll do anything! i’ll be your good girl just please touch me”
*
• “think we should let our dove get what she wants nes? she’s begging so nicely”
*
• “hmm… i’m not sure she really wants it… tell me dove exactly what you want. use your words or this all stops and we’ll leave you needy and begging, without permission to even touch yourself”
• when they finally touch you, it won’t be quick, they’ll be going for hours on end, giving you exact what you want
• “i want… i want your fingers cas and nes’ mouth”
• “where sweetheart? you tell us & we’ll give you it”
• “that’s right baby, tell me where you want my mouth & cas’ fingers?”
• and when you finally do say, you’re so embarrassed but you know they’re getting off on it “my pussy… please, please please .”
• they’d go FERAL.
• let’s be clear though they’ll still start slow. they’re coaxing several orgasms out of you, they don’t want it to be over too quickly.
• “play with your tits, that’s right baby” “fuck look at her cas, all dripping for us”
• “aw baby… are your fingers too small to reach that spot, here let me”
• AND THATS WHEN YOU BEHAVE. (and get what you want aka a night full of orgasms)
when you misbehave well…
• let’s just say that this au involves toys.
• you won’t strip for them because you decided to be a brat? you’re getting spanked
• “count for me, our little slut”
• just know when you get them in this head space mean mommy and daddy dom come out.
• “choke on my fingers while nes makes your ass red, can you do that for daddy?”
• “she likes it… isn’t much of a punishment now… i have an idea”
• they’d put a vibrator on the highest setting and see how long it takes for you to cum
• but either way you don’t have permission so the cycle continues
Relax and Unwind
Nessian x reader
A/n: @polyacotarweek day 4! We’re halfway through besties. Enjoy reader and Nessian off on their first vacation together.
Warnings: slight angst and comfort
Tumblr media
You have checked all the bags four times now along with the beach bag and the very detailed itinerary you wrote out. Going away always makes you nervous. You just want to make sure everyone has a good time. Especially since this is Cassian’s first time back in Summer after the…incident.
He and Nesta didn’t seem too worried about it. Then again, Cassian never seemed worried about these things. You were the only one on edge.
Everything just had to be perfect. Dumping out the contents of the beach bag on the bed you start to sort through everything for the hundredth time. “Sun cream, hats, glasses,” you murmur to yourself as you gently place the items back in the bag. “Wait,” you pause looking around wildly. Your and Nesta’s matching cover-ups were missing. They weren’t in your personal bags. You’d know, you checked.
You began to panic as you searched the bed and bag once more. Where were the damn cover-ups? Consumed with your search you didn’t hear Nesta come into the bedroom. She gently grasps your shoulders, turning you to face her. Nesta gave you a soft, concerned look.
“Hey, what’s going on?” Closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths you say, “I was going through the bags again and I couldn’t find our cover-ups. They were in the beach bag and I swear I didn’t move them.” Nesta shushed you softly as she rubbed up and down your arms. “I moved them. I’m sorry I thought you wouldn’t mind, I put them in the smaller duffle.” You breathed out a small oh and relaxed in her touch.
After giving her a half hug you went back to repacking the beach bag. Nesta gave you a sad look, projecting her worry and sadness about you to Cassian. He reached back through the bond urging Nes to talk to you until he got home. She sits on the edge of the bed, taking your hand in both of her slender ones, lightly squeezing. “We’ve noticed you’ve been a little on edge, lovely. Talk to me,” Nesta softly pleads.
Still holding her hands in yours you flop on to the bed. Letting out a deep sigh you let all your pent up thoughts and feelings out. “I’m just nervous about vacation. I just want everyone to have a good time and I want everything to go well. It’s our first time going away together romantically and I know the whole thing with Cass,” Nesta laid down facing you, resting a finger to your lips. “Y/n, everything is going to be fine. Cassian is fine. We are going to have a great time.” You smile at her, “Promise?”
“Promise,” Cassian’s voice has you and Nesta sitting up in time to avoid his large body landing on the bed. He settles against the pillows, pulling you and Nesta to his chest placing a kiss on each of your heads. “We are going to have the best time. Relaxing in the sand, soaking up the sun and playing in the waves.” Cassian made the sound of crashing waves earning a giggle from you two. Maybe Cassian’s go with the flow attitude will rub off on you.
taking a vacation with feysand and/or nessian
poly!feysand x reader & poly!nessian x reader
summary: for poly!acotar week day 4, adventure
warnings: none, very brief suggestiveness
a/n: look ... I messed up the dates and it might be barely but I still made it. here's some drabbles/ headcannons!
poly!Nessian x Reader
Perhaps surprisingly, Cassian insisted on planning it all as well as keeping it a surprise. Normally, he’d give in to either of you with enough pestering, but this time he was an iron wall, not a single clue or hint given to either of you.
He pinched his thumb and forefinger together before drawing them across his lips, even miming tossing a key over his shoulder. You rolled your eyes, but a fond smile crept on to your lips.  “What if I promise not to tell Nes?” He snorted, and you lifted and dropped your shoulders. It was worth a try - but they both knew you were terrible at keeping secrets from either of them.  "It was worth a shot," you mumbled, redirecting your attention to the book on your lap. A shadow covered you, two fingers tilting your chin up. He pressed a kiss against your forehead, chapped lips lingering for a few seconds. "It'll be worth the wait," he reassured, confidence flowing through every word, not a hint of bullshit. Your eyes narrowed, but you gave a nod. Seemingly content, Cassian placed a too-brief kiss to your lips before making his way out of the room.
Nesta was a tad anxious over how his planning would turn out
“It’s not if it’ll be a disaster, it’s how much of a disaster.”  “Have a little more faith in him,” you chastised, quickly looking away as she turned her glare on you.  “We don’t get much … time free together,” Nesta sighed, and you carefully covered her hand with your own. “I want everything to go well.”  “We’ll be together,” you insisted. “That’s good enough for me.”  Her mouth curved at one corner, a grateful look shot your way, her hand turning up so your palms met, her fingers wrapping around yours and squeezing.
Cassian was impressed with himself, and firmly believed he had every right to be. He hoped both of you would as well. Mother above, he’d sworn an oath to Tarquin for this.
“The blindfold is a little extreme,” you grumbled, fidgeting with the cloth knot at the back of your head. Cassian gently swatted your hand down.  “We’re almost there.”  Nesta was quiet next to you, her hand steady in yours, but you could nearly taste the anxious energy rolling from her. You gave her what you hoped was a comforting squeeze.  Salt, and sea, and sand hit you at once, along with a scent distinct to one place …  The knot loosened at the back of your head and you tore the cloth off, rapidly taking in your surroundings. You weren’t in Adriata, but it was unmistakably the summer court.  “Cassian,” you hissed, “you’re banned, for life.”  “I promise we’re fine,” he grinned, and produced a paper from his pocket, holding it out to you with a flourish. Nesta peered over your shoulder as you carefully unraveled it. A letter - attesting Cassian and company were allowed to access this beach and a rental vacation home for the next seven days, signed by Tarquin himself.
poly!Feysand x Reader
Feyre and Rhys argued over where to take you - in their minds, of course. It seemed the only thing they could agree on was to keep it a surprise. You watched them, eyes glazed, but lips pursed - obviously in some kind of mental argument with each other. A crease formed between Feyre's brow, Rhys's lips pressing into a tight line. You didn't like that. Especially considering you were nearly certain it was related to you somehow, otherwise they would've spoken aloud. Clearing your throat, you tried your best to get their attention. Nothing. "Right, I'm heading out," you finally called. Still no response. The sting and small sense of hurt came naturally, and you let the door slam behind you a little louder than you usually would. Rhys's muffled voice came after the slam but you were already out the door. "I'll make it up to you later, darling," Rhys's voice slid into your mind, smooth and full of promise. "I'll look forward to it," you didn't know if it was possible for your voice to be breathy in your own head, but you certainly gave your best impression of it.
Feyre packed for you, of course.
You perched on the edge of the bed as Feyre started rummaging through the drawers. First, she picked up a sundress with thin straps and flowing fabric that would just brush the middle of your thighs - ideal for hot weather. Next came a thick woolen cloak. You tilted your head, catching her eye in the mirror. "How many places are we going?" "Oh," she carefully folded a long sleeved shirt, "just one." Your mouth parted, but she answered the next question for you. "We can't have you spoiling the surprise." A laugh bubbled from your chest. Their secrecy had only made you more determined in turn, and it turned into something of a game for you over the last week.
Rhys had scouted the location no less than six times in the week before, Feyre accompanying him for a few of the trips. He knew it was safe, but with you he had to be certain.
Your back pressed against his chest, his hand covering your eyes, you winnowed - holding your breath at the sensation that never quite felt comfortable. As soon as you hit solid ground, you attempted to peel his fingers away from your eyes, but his grip was firm. "Rhys," you hissed, and he laughed but released you. Jaw dropping, you spun in a circle. Feyre stood with her hands clasped in front of her, shifting back and forth. An island. "Where," you cleared your throat, "where are we?" "An island not far off the coast," Rhys wrapped an arm around your waist, slowly turning you. You felt Feyre smooth fingers grasp your other hand, thumb brushing over the back of your hand. Rhys was still speaking, you realized and focused back in. "You can see Velaris," his voice was laced with a touch of amusement that told you he was well aware your attention wandered. Sure enough, there was a cluster of lights, but appearing barely larger than your fingertip. Twisting your head over a shoulder, you spotted the ... cabin was an understatement. Mini-palace waiting for you. Shrugging away from Rhys's grip, switching to grasp his hand instead, you tugged them both forward, their laughter trailing behind you.
Part 2 | Masterlist | Poly Fics | Cassian
Tumblr media
The only way to describe the couple stood before you was - handsome.
The High Lord and Lady who’d brought you here were beautiful, elegant. But this couple could only be described as handsome, strong, Alpha.
You knew them, of course. General Cassian of the Nightcourt and his mate, Lady Nesta. Lord of Bloodshed and Lady Death, they’d called them in the camps that circled the Illyrian villages like pilot fish on a shark.
“I’ve brought you a present,” Rhysand drawled, pointing at you. “Well, it’s a favour and a present. The last unmated omega of the season. She's  from the Western Isles, I thought it might help to tamp down your behaviour if you two had a project.” He grinned and you turned to look at Nesta and Cassian again.
It was true, you’d rejected every mate offered to you, bitten some of them, in your desperation to get away, and that’s how you’d lost your freedom. Fighting the boys from the village was one thing, fighting an Illyrian was another. They’d hauled you into the camp in front of the High Lord on his last visit and demanded compensation.
Rhysand, ever flush with jewels and gold, had paid them and then had a set of cuffs and leathers made for you. Nightcourt black velvet, red stitching and silver buckles. But restraints were still restraints, no matter how soft they felt against your wrists and ankles. He’d had new clothes made for you as well, traditional sheer panels of matching blood red that hung in gossamer curtains down your legs, pooling around you as you were forced to your knees in front of the Lady and General.
“I don’t know what you mean,” Nesta studied her nails, her air bored but her eyes kept flickering towards you.
“Come now, Nesta, we both know you and Cassian caused quite the stir the last time you were both in heat.”
You were right then, you could smell it on them anyway, that raw power and strength that designated them as Alpha.
“Still -  you want us to take care of your problems?” Nesta huffed.
“Of course not, she’s a gift, for you and Cass, if you happen to tame her enough that she stops mauling my men then that’s a bonus.”
You looked between them, it was undeniable how attractive they were. Better than the mud caked idiots from the village at least, but you still railed against the hand that dragged you back to your feet.
Cassian kept his hand under your elbow, pinching your cheeks with his other hand. “Come on, Nes. She’s cute, isn’t she?” He angled your face up towards his mate.
Nesta shrugged one shoulder and you snarled, snapping at Cassian’s fingers.
“Feisty,” he gave a deep chuckle, “I like that, that’s how Nes and I got together.” He hauled you over his shoulder, your legs and arms dangling, the panels of your dress slipping dangerously.
“Put me down!” You beat your fists on his back.
“Should have thought of that before you tried to bite me,” he teased, jostling you.
You scowled at Nesta, who followed, laughing, through the halls of the palace and then tried using the only knowledge you had about the Illyrians. You reached out and grabbed his wing, squeezing as tightly as you could.
He growled back, the sound travelling up through his chest into yours, vibrating your very core.
“You want to play rough? Good.”
Tumblr media
Cassian shouldered a heavy door open and suddenly the sweeping corridor was gone and a dark, warm room wrapped itself around you.
The walls were an oxblood red with thick velvet curtains that lay heavily in front of the eternally open windows. The soft jasmine breeze that circulated through the house was mixed with the cleaner scent of mountain air and the crackling of a fire, rich and inviting.
The general set you down, his gaze travelling slowly down your figure. He clenched his jaw and then instantly turned to his mate, cupping her cheeks in his large hands and kissing her roughly. She growled in response, leaning into his embrace and allowing him to lift her against his body. You watched as he carried her across the room to an open archway, almost hidden behind a large tapestry, and then they vanished again.
Tentatively, as much as you could with the thin chain connecting your ankles, you crept across the room to the curtain, now brushed back and curling heavily on the polished floor.
Nesta and Cassian were tangled on the bed, the heady scent of their arousal lay thick in the air, the bedsheets already rumpled as if they’d been interrupted before, the room in disarray.
On both bedside tables there were stacks of books of various genres, a pitcher of water on one and dagger on the other.
“Either come in or go,” Nesta groused from the bed, hair messy, one of Cassian’s hands still tangled in the long golden-brown strands.
“Play nice, Nes.” The general laughed, biting at Nesta’s earlobe. “You can join us or you can sleep,” he said over his shoulder.
Sure enough there was a small chaise made up with blankets at the end of the bed. You shuffled over, and fell heavily onto the soft cushions listening to the sound of their love making. Each grunt and moan made you press your thighs together harder. Each stifled sigh had your hands twitching, itching for something more. You may have rejected every attempt at a mating, but you weren’t completely without feeling, without desire and needs and lust.
You lifted your hands to cover your ears, the chain between them digging into the bridge of your nose, and fell into a confused sleep.
 You awoke to the sound of moving bodies and cloth dragging on the floor.
“She’s asleep, let her rest, Cas.”
“What if she’s cold?” The footsteps came closer and you tensed on instinct. The steps stopped, but a gentle weight floated down on you, a large cotton blanket, awash with their scent, settled.
“I’m going to wash,” Nesta’s voice faded as she walked away but there was no other movement.
“I know you’re awake.” His voice was loud in your ear, closer than you’d expected and you jumped again, almost sliding from the chaise. Cassian’s arm caught you, tight around your waist and his bareskin was so warm against your own. You cracked one eye open and looked around the room as best you could with his wings blocking out the faint candlelight.
His arm was speckled with tiny scars that twinkled against his tan skin, the hair that decorated his forearm was as dark as the long tendrils that brushed over his shoulders and this close, his chin almost resting on your own arm, he smelt heavenly. That mixture of his own scent and Nesta’s even stronger in his proximity and, no doubt, enhanced by their earlier activities.
“If you want, you can borrow some clothes.” His voice was a sleepy rumble and you resisted the urge to let your omega instincts take over and push yourself back into his chest, seek out that warmth, that comfort - but you didn’t respond.
The sound of running water in the other room stopped, replaced with the gentle pad of Nesta’s footsteps and then she was in front of you. Surrounded by them again you had to fight back every urge to give in to her wicked mouth, her lips plump and kiss bitten.
“We’ve left you some things on the chair, choose what you will. If you want to join us on the bed, you can.” Nesta moved away taking Cassian with her and you assumed from the gentle rustle of sheets they were back in bed.
The chair that sat opposite their grand fireplace was strewn with clothes, silky looking negligees and billowing linen shirts, some cotton leggings and a pair of woollen socks.
Waiting a moment, hoping they weren’t looking, you rose from the chaise and rushed for the chair. The translucent dress the High Lord had had you wear left your skin cold and bare, exposed and vulnerable. Cassian’s shirt was a welcome relief, covering your body from view, although the two slits in the back for his wings did feel slightly odd. The socks were warm and fluffy, long enough to reach almost to your knees. Redressed, you turned to return to your chaise and tugged the blanket up to your chin.
You didn’t really want to spend the entire night there, but you also refused to give in to the ridiculousness of the situation. No one chose your mate, or mates, for you and you’d rather sleep on the tiny chaise that allow anyone to take that choice from you.
Thankfully, Nesta and Cassian had turned away, the Illyrian’s large wings spread over the bed,. Shielding his mate from view? Or stopping her from following you around the room with her silver stare? You weren’t sure, but you were grateful as you closed your eyes.
It was only as you were falling asleep that you realised you were snuggled into the shirt, inhaling Cassian’s scent, and by then it was too late, you were tumbling into your dreams.
Tumblr media
The next morning Cassian and Nesta were gone, but someone had left a tray of food, a pot of tea and a stack of books on the table. The doors to the balcony were open and the jasmine wind blew the curtains back so invitingly you couldn’t resist.
You were halfway through one of the books they’d left, something by Sellyn Drake that had far more smut in it than you were anticipating. A slice of buttered toast was stuck halfway to your mouth as you stared transfixed at the page, when the door opened. Cassian held the door for Nesta, taking a long sword from her hand and placing it on the table that was perpetually strewn with weapons. His own sword and daggers followed and the two of them began to strip out of their leathers.
There had been a rumour that Nesta trained alongside the Lord of Bloodshed and the Shadowsinger, trained with other women as well, but you hadn’t thought to believe it until now.
Her leathers were tight against skin, a sheen of sweat making her sparkle, her long hair was tied up in what was now a messy ponytail and, most surprising of all, she was smiling broadly at Cassian. He returned the smile, cupping her cheek and pulling her in for a kiss, his hands wandering down to the buckles and clasps that held her fighting leathers together.
Cassian looked equally as powerful, his own armour dark against his tanned skin, his tattoos flowing under the leather before appearing again at his collar bone and trailing over his shoulders towards the vast wings at his back. You set the book down slowly, the lust filled scene already had you feeling hot under Cassian’s shirt even before they appeared.
The movement caught his eye and he turned, taking Nesta with him and pinning her against his chest. They way they looked at you, like the most delicious prey, had you pressing your legs together. You wouldn’t give in to this, especially not when it was exactly what that smug prick of a High Lord wanted.
“Good morning, sweetheart,” he cooed, “Would you like to join us?”
It was Nesta who held her hand out, crooking her finger to coax you forward. “We’re going to bathe, the tub is large enough for three, come.” It was more a demand than a question and, though you longed to see how far down Cassian’s tattoos went and how Nesta would look covered in bubbles, you resisted again.
With a shake of your head you went back to your book, trying to ignore the sound of them together through the wall.
Tumblr media
You fell into a rhythm, the three of you. Nesta and Cassian continued as they were, training, working in the library and attending meetings, and inviting you to join them whenever they were together.
Your nights on the chaise were becoming increasingly uncomfortable, but you refused to be worn down by their requests, preferring to stay silent and read alone either on the balcony or by the fire. No amount of reading could drown out the sound of their love making, though. If you could call it that, judging by the bruises both of them sported proudly and the way their headboard banged against the stone wall.
Despite your protests their allure was difficult to ignore, their playful banter, the care and attention they showed each other, even the way they whispered in bed, dissecting the day's events and, on a few occasions, discussing you.
This only happened when you were pretending to sleep heavily, breathing slow and steady as you wished for dreams to take you.
“Nes, did you see the way my shirt fit her today, rolling up her thighs-” Cassian had made a deep, guttural noise, only to be shushed by Nesta.
“Yes, Cas, stop, she’s right over there.” Nesta hissed in return.
“I know, God, she’s so fucking close, don’t you think she smells good?”
“You know I do.” The sheets rustled and you heard Nesta whimper as a wave of arousal flooded you. They could smell you, you knew it and you couldn’t stop it.
Sleeping in their room, bathed in their scent every day, surrounded by their things, it was like a huge nest and the longer you lingered here the more you wanted to give in and climb into their bed, to be between them and allow them to care for you.
Tumblr media
You knew something had changed when you woke up drenched in sweat. As usual, Nesta and Cassian had already left the room, your breakfast arranged in its spot, clothes laid out for you. They’d started adding some new things, items that smelt like neither of them, clean linen and lavender, but you were still drawn to their items the most. Perhaps, it was the way they smiled when they saw you cuddling into one of Cassian’s shirts or standing on the balcony in one of Nesta’s dresses. But you refused to confront that feeling.
Despite your long, cold, bath you still felt hot and uncomfortable. It was mid way through stripping off your linen trousers that Nesta reappeared. She moved with a preternatural grace that you were sure existed well before her sister’s ascent to High Lady. A smoothness to each turn of her hand, or extension of her arm, she made walking seem like a dance and you were transfixed.
Nesta stopped as soon as she saw you, her nostrils flared, almost imperceptibly.
“Are you okay?” she asked in that cool, silvery voice.
“Yes,” your voice felt hoarse. You barely spoke and had gone days without saying anything to either of them, merely existing in their presence. But now, locked by her gaze, there was no escaping.
“You seem -” she weighed her words carefully, “unwell.”
“I can assure you, I’m fine.” You took a half step towards the balcony doors, hoping the breeze would cool your skin.
Nesta hummed, surveying you from head to toe. “I’d feel better if you got into bed.”
You knew this was as persuasive as Nesta could be, a simple request made in the lowest of tones, an argument not worth having.
“I-”
“The bed.” She crossed the room swiftly and turned you towards the large, velvet draped bed that took up a large portion of the room. Since your first entrance into Nesta and Cassian’s suite, you’d done your best to avoid even looking at it. Now there was no escape.
Your hands were shaking, a tingling heat rising from your spine and coiling in your stomach. On this occasion, just once, you’d listen to her. “Fine.” With great difficulty, you pulled the shirt over your head and dropped it to the floor. You were so tired. When had you become so tired?
Nesta’s deft fingers grasped your chin, holding you still so she could look at your pupils, large and frightened. “Get in bed and go to sleep,” she insisted, and you obeyed.
The Story of Us
Tumblr media
Summary - After Nyx is given a school project on his family, the Inner Circles Quad is stuck trying to explain their love life to their nephew.
Prompt Day 1 - Beginnings
Warnings - Nyx is smart and sassy, flashbacks, kind of forced mating bond, jealousy and fighting, rough patches before a happy ending, slightly implied smut
A/n - Happy @polyacotarweek
This is based on one of my friends having to explain this similar situation to her daughters. We, as a society, could do so much for eliminating stereotypes in the poly community if we openly discussed it and normalized it with kids. Her daughters have been raised in a household with a Quad and see the love their parents share as completely normal, and isn't that such a beautiful thing? To be able to freely love without judgement.
Nyx blinked so innocently at you. His tiny fist gripped his pencil as he mimicked your blinking, waiting for you, Azriel, Nesta, or Cassian to answer him. Rhys and Feyre stood behind him with shit eating grins, waiting for how you all would respond.
The heir stared mainly at you, his damn near mirror image,  as you looked up at your older brother Rhys and then back down to your nephew. “Auntie Y/n, I need to know! It's for school,” his little face pouted, and all eyes landed on you.
You sighed, leaning your elbows top your knees. “Well, baby, I don't know how to explain or where you want me to start.”
Nyx huffed, looking at you like you were stupid and making Rhys further chuckle. “I know you sleep with Uncle Cassian,” the mentioned male spit out his water, praying their nephew simply meant sharing a bed and not other activities. “And Auntie Ness,” Nesta held no reaction, not even an ounce of shame. “And Uncle Azzy.” Azriel looked away, scratching his jaw line. “And last weekend when I came up to surprise you, all four of you were in one bed and Uncle Cass made me wait before I could snuggle, and daddy only makes me do that when he and mommy -"
Rhys covered Nyx's mouth, his own face flushed as Feyre's ears turned pink. “What he wants to know is how to explain the dynamic.” Since you know for our kind this is not normal, Rhys said gently into your mind. A three-way bond is rare. A 4-way bond is unheard of.
Azriel spoke softly. “We all love each other, Nyx,” he said it like it was the easiest thing to explain to a child with parents who enjoy their monogamous marriage and traditional mating bond, as if Nyx would just understand. “We all love each other so much, and we all enjoy being together. All the time.”
Nyx rolled his eyes. “I know. But how?” He waited again, brows raised and a small pout growing in his face.
Cassian smiled nodding to you. “You tell him, princess.”
You looked at Az, the smile on his face told every single emotion he had. “A long long loooooong time ago,” Nyx giggled as you held the vowel, “Your daddy and Uncle Cass brought home this weird,” a soft watch it came from beside you, “but kind of cute Illyrian, and I had my first crush.”
The quiet male standing behind Rhys and Cassian rocked back and forth on his feet as you looked at him. He was beautiful, all be it, awkward, but still beautiful. “Sis, meet Azriel,” you waved from behind your mother's leg. “He's going to live with us.”
“Third brother!” Cassian threw his arms up, yelling and then hugging the male with scarred hands and damaged wings tightly.
“Brother!” Rhys then also went in to hug him, rambling about all the cool things they'd be doing together. Hazel eyes met yours, and plush lips mouthed, “Help me.”
You smiled softly at him, offering him a hand and pulling him away from the idiots around you two. "Do you like chocolate?" He nodded at you, a soft smile tugging at his lips before it disappeared. "Good."
“They were inseparable after that,” Cassian grumbled. His tone was filled with old aching jealousy. “Unless Azriel was training or agreed to hang out with us. He was with y/n.”
The sparkle in Nyx's eye as he looked at where you and Azriel sat, lost to all of them as the male kissed your knuckles made Cassian's heart skip. “Did they know they were mates?”
“No,” Cassian was soft now. “That happened under different circumstances.”
"I've apologized many times, Cassian." Azriel stared towards the larger male. "Will you ever actually forgive us?"
"It's not you two I still hold anger towards."
Cassian had you alone. Finally alone.
You had been courting for months now, but every date always had at least one tag along. The kiss you two were in was frantic and heated as he held you against the wall. His teeth pulled at your bottom lip, smirking as you gasped softly and gave him more access to you. His lips moved to your neck, pulling the dress you had worn out of the way.
Cassian shivered as you whispered his name. Loving how he could reduce his educated little princess to nothing more than a girl desperate for his touch. You both jumped as the door slammed shut, two arguing voices carrying through the house. “Y/n!” You sighed as Cassian's grip grew tighter. “Cass!”
Azriel walked in seconds later, eyes going wide as he stood there in shock. It took him a moment, composing himself the best he could while looking just at you. “Your father is here. He will be coming to the house any second now.”Azriel's mind was slowly becoming a storm as he walked away. Allowing you to compose yourself before your father came and demanded dinner with his son, daughter, and their tagalongs. Your mother was trapped in Velaris heavily pregnant, unable to help you all, to help him. Of all the times for a bond to snap, it had to be while your legs were wrapped around Cassian, delicate fingers threaded through his hair.
You were downstairs, setting the table quickly. Silently grateful you had planned to cook enough for a small army to ensure there was food for Rhys and Azriel. You felt him long before he spoke. That dominating presence just sucking the life and air from the happy cabin.
“Ah, little star,” soft hands held your jaw from behind. “You smell..” His nose was in your hair as your eyes shut, sniffing it deeply to place whatever scent he had caught. “Interesting. We will discuss you degrading yourself late." A pointed look when Rhysand's way, causing your older brother to flinch internally before shielding Cassian from any attacks. "Serve dinner, y/n. We have much to discuss.”
“So grandpa made Auntie serve Uncle Az dinner? And Auntie was dating Uncle Cass?”
Rhys nodded from the spot he had now taken next to Nyx. “Yes.”
“But that meant her and Uncle Az were married now.” You all couldn't help but smile at Nyx's innocence of what had happened that night. “But that's not fair.”
“No buddy, it wasn't,” Cassian looked at you and Azriel. “It took us a while to be friends again.”
"But again," Azriel waited until Nyx looked to him. "We love each other. So we wanted to become friends again."
“What made you two friends?”
The question caused silence to hang in the air as you suddenly moved close into Nesta, seeking her comfort to stop you from crying. Azriel took a deep breath, “We lost some people, and Uncle Cass saved Auntie Y/n.”
"Like a knight saving a princess!"
Cassian scented your blood as the warriors ran to where the reports of a disturbance came from. It mixed heavily with the scent of soil, of your mother's blood, of little Stel’s blood.
He felt a weird pulling. As if something was desperately clawing at his chest, begging him to find you, and when he did, he went silent.
You were unconscious on the ground, wings carved from your back, bruising everywhere. He flew you to your father, growling as healers ripped you from his arms. “How did you find her before I did?” Azriel's eyes were cold, staring at him from across the room.
“She called for me.” Cassian refused to leave your side as you healed. He was the first to hold you when you woke up, the one to teach you how to walk again. As much as it had irritated Azriel, the shadowsinger felt it, too. A strained pull bringing the three of you together. Binding your lives and very souls.
“So the three of you all dated?”
“Yeah,” Azriel leaned forward, reading Nyx carefully. “And you know how Auntie Ness got involved. Does it bother you?”
A little lip trembled. “If you all love each other, how can you love me?”
Nesta was to him instantly. Cradling her little life line so tight. “It's different, baby. But there's so much love for you. All the love for you. We'd all do anything for you, Nyx. We all love you so so much."
You moved by him, too, kissing a small hand. "Some people have so much love to give that their hearts overflow, Nyx. Trust us, we love you as much, if not almost more, than we love each other." You kissed his palm again. "But that doesn't answer the question, baby. Does it bother you that we all are married?"
Nyx thought for a while, young eyes filled with so much hope and knowledge studying each of you. "No. It's my favorite."
Silence fell between the 4 of you that night. “Do you think he understands?” You were the first to break the quiet. “Do we need to stop until he gets it?”
“If we don't raise him with this being the norm, he will never see it as a norm,” Cassian sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. “He needs to grow up knowing it's normal for some people to love more than one person like this. Not everyone has one love of their life, y/n. Some of us get the honor of falling in love over and over again."
“I've never heard the full story.” Nesta moved next to Azriel. “Of how you three began. I have a feeling you left details out.”
You answered plainly. “Several fights. Verbal and physical. A lot crying. A lot of sex. Rhys yelled a lot. Like. More than he ever has at you. I got locked in the Palace by father at one point."
“So what was the final decision? What made two three?”
Cassian, you, and Azriel all smiled. “The first Solstice with Rhys trapped Under the Mountain.”
You refused to leave bed. Refused to eat. You refused to so much as even think about solstice without your brother.
It felt wrong.
Like you were playing this role of someone you were never meant to play. You stayed in his room, Azriel, Cassian, Mor, and Amren long forgotten. You had not spoken with your mates since Rhys left your head, whispering soft words of how much you mean to him, of how his greatest joy in life was being your big brother.
You didn't even respond as the door opened and the bed dipped in two places. “We miss him too,” Cassian moved his hand to find yours under the blanket. “We tried having a snowball fight, but it just didn't feel right.”
Azriel hummed from where he had moved to lay behind you. “Not just because Rhysand is missing, but our girl wasn't there cheering us on from the sidelines.”
“I'm sorry-”
“Do not apologize, princess.” Cassian laid next to you then, too. “If this is where you'd like to be today, we need to be good mates and be here, too.”
Azriel's lips pressed softly on your shoulder. “We were hoping Solstice would be extra special this year. Cassian and I have talked a lot, and we both think there's enough love inside of all of us to make this work.”
Your eyes lit up instantly. “Really?”
Cassian nodded. “I loved you long before he came into the picture, and I've realized slowly how much I love him as well.”
“And I feel the same,” Azriel moved a hand to rest above yours and Cassian's. “And I know you do, starlight.”
“So this is my solstice present? No more fighting?”
“No more fighting,” they confirmed together.
“Rhys would be so happy. I wish he was here.”
The two males shared a look. One sparing glance. Azriel brushed soft onyx colored hair from your face. "We do too. Do you know what Rhys would have liked for Solstice?"
Cassian kissed your shoulder, finishing Azriel's thought. "You to eat something."
“And then 50 years later you came,” you smiled so softly. “And you shook everything I'd ever thought about myself.”
Nesta's face flushed. “Was I?”
“My first and last time with a female.”
“Oh,” Nesta's hands played with the hem of her dress. “When I was human, I never imagined this. The first time I saw the first of you together, I didn't know what to think.”
Cassian smiled, “We're a lot.”
“It wasn't that. I.. Deep down I wanted to be a part of it from the first dinner. It was like-”
“You found home?” Azriel ran a finger down her cheek. “You sure as fuck fought it, Ness.”
“Because it was scary. Loving so many people so deeply is terrifying.”
“And magical.”
She looked at you, and nodded to confirm. “Beyond magical.”
“Yes. It is.”
Cassian smacked your ass slightly before standing. “Rhys said Nyx is going to say we all just live together and love each other a lot and he likes it.”
Azriel stood behind him. “Separate beds tonight or one?”
“One,” the general answered with a shrug. “We will see you two in bed.”
You both wished them goodnight as Nesta smiled softly into the fire. You leaned to her, holding those perfect manicured hands. She smiled before laughing out a soft what. “I know it's still strange for you, but it's amazing how much room we all truly have for people in our hearts, if we're brave enough to allow them in.”
“Sometimes my heart is so full, I just worry I will wake up and it's all been a lie.”
“Never, Ness. I have you. You have me. We have them. They have us, and the beautiful thing is that love flows freely. And it always will, so long as you wish for it to.”
“I love you, y/n.”
“And I love you, Nesta. Let's go to bed and hope our nephew doesn't make us look like heathens.”
“There's no one else I'd rather be a heathen with,” soft lips met yours before resting a forehead against yours. “You were my favorite to fall in love with. You know that?”
“Really?” The oldest Archeron nodded. “Tell me our story from your eyes someday?”
“I will.”
You had always liked Cassian, from the moment the two of you met. Your crush was so obvious to everyone around you, it was like watching a lost puppy follow it's master. Everywhere Cassian went you were there, no matter where or what time. You would somehow always find yourself seeking Cassian's attention. You love having his eyes on you all the time, and you thought he did too.
But then Nesta came along.
She walked around with so much anger and hate towards everyone, you worried she would get in serious trouble because of her snappy mouth. Little did you know, she managed to pull off Cassian.
You were jealous as hell at the starting few months. But when they accepted their mating bond, the one you couldn't ever guess they had, all that jealousy and anger had dissolved in a pool of sadness.
You distant yourself after that.
Gave them the privacy they should have. After all who would want anyone lingering around them when their newly found mate was standing with them. It was very hard considering you lived in house of wind. The mating frenzy was disastrous. And the noises, gods, you would scratch out you ears if you could.
There were so many moments where you wondered if you wanted to be them, or be with them. Like the one morning while training, you and Azriel sparred while the newly mated took each other. In the small one minute you took to drink water, you nearly chocked to death, catching a glimpse of Cassian and Nesta.
The smooth and sweaty skin of Cassian not wearing any shirt, shining glitters thanks to the early morning rays, looked so good. Nesta, too, the fighting leathers hugged her body in all the right places. The slight smirk on both of their faces as they attacked and defenced each others moves with persistence. That was the first time you looked at Nesta, not with envy but admiration.
There were a lot of times where you thought maybe they want you too. Like the time you were shit drunk, coming back from Rita's.
You didn't realize how much you drank until you couldn't see straight. Cassian and Mor being the only ones there were to bring you back home but Mor having disappeared with someone, Cassian was left with the responsibility of taking you home.
"Where is Nesta, Cass?" The pout on your face seemed permanent for the night as he flyed to your house.
"Nesta's out with Gwen and Emerie for the night, remember?" His smile at your state seemed permanent too.
"Right! She told me about that!" You giggle to yourself. You were still babbling nonsense as he lands on the roof, walking to your bedroom with you still in his arms, not trusting yourself to walk without face planting on the floor.
"Alright, sweetheart. You should go to sleep now." He layes you down on the bed and gently removes you shoes and jewelry. Tucking you in, stilling smiling at you as you hum in comfort.
You don't remember much from the night but clearing remember his lips kissing you to sleep, lingering near your mouth as slumber pulls you in completly.
Or like the time you accidentally cut your finger while attempting to make dinner.
You hissed in pain, throwing down the knife to look at your first finger. You were so distracted by the smell from Nesta that reeked sex while walking into kitchen for a glass of water. She was at your side in a second, taking your hand with gentleness and aspecting the small cut that now bled red. Her lips thinned and eyes furrow just a little as she looked at you with a hint of worry.
She didn't say anything but take you finger in her mouth. Your breath hitched as her tounge swept over the injury, licking away the blood, all while keeping her eyes on yours. She pulled away when the cut healed, her lips curling at the sight of your flushed face, eyes on her lips and breathing heavily.
She pulled back and walked out of the kitchen, leaving you red faced and with a shocking realization of your crush on the female.
These along with all the other confusing interaction that happened with the couple left you speechless, having no idea what to take of them. Your small crush somehow growed into full on love feelings. You have no idea when it happened but you had realized it one day while readying (more like trying to read) a book that you loved them.
It killed you knowing they didn't share the feelings and having to see them together, loving each other, having to hear them together, everyday. It's not like you can go to all day missions like Azriel to get away. No. You had to say hear and endure it all without doing anything that raised questions.
Little did you knew, they knew about it all long before you knew yourself.
On their side, Cassian and Nesta were doing everything they could to talk to you, look at you, have your attention all to themselves. They loved playing with you and making you blush over the slightest of touches. They were working with each other from the start, trying to get to you confess your feelings to any one of them.
They loved watching you try to not look at them, try to control your blushing expressions, control your arousal around them. They found it funny whenever you stutter while talking when they eye your figure, found it annoying when someone else grabs your attention from them even for mere seconds.
Why do you think they are so loud at night? To have you listen to them. To only have them on your mind at nights, thinking of all the ways they would please and pleasure you.
They loved this game so damn much.
Which is why when you walk in on them in the exposing position, they smirk at you instead of scolding you away as you thought they would, they let you watch.
Watch how their naked bodies blend together. How Nesta's back to Cassian's chest plush against one another. On they're knees with his one arm holding her upright while the other rubbing her sweet botton and hers in his hair, clucking on for dear life as he slams himself into her again and again and again.
The sight waters your mouth.
Gods, you knew they had good bodies but your imagination does not do justice to the real thing. You knew he had a big cock but not could never guess the actual girth, and her body, the lipstick speared mouth, the peachy nipples begging to be sucked on, and her thighs...
You squeeze you thighs together as you look where they join, feeling yourself get so wet. The smell of sex heavy in the air and your hands form fists to keep from moving.
"Like watching us sweetheart?" Cassian's voice heard above the sweet little moans of Nesta. You nod once, not seeming to know what words are.
"Yeah? Wanna watch her cum for us?" You can hear the smirk in his voice. You nod again and he says,"Come here then, help me make her cum."
You swallow and move without thinking, kneeling in front of them on the bed, facing Nesta. Not knowing what to do, you look at him. "Come on, Y/N. Don't get shy on us now." His hips not stopping their blissful torture. You look into her eyes and lean forward, resting your hands on her waist and taking the pink bud of her breast into your mouth and suck.
Her moans coming out louder now, as Cassian grunts, enjoying the view of his girls. You take the other nipple between your fingers and pinch, and she cries out. Cassian letting go of her clit to hold her tighter for harder thrusts. Your other hand replacing his on her nub, moving in fast circles and you whisper, "Cum for us, Nesta."
She screams as her orgasm hits her, rocking her to her very core, harder then any she's had before. Cassian and you don't stop your movements, prolonging her pleasure. You only slow down when she whimpers, silently begging you to stop from overestimating her and Cassian pulls out of her heat.
Only deep heavy breaths sound in the room for a few seconds and she comes down from her high. You feel hard chest behind you at the same time Nesta grips your jaw, forcing your eyes on hers. Cassian's hands slid into your top, up to your breasts and Nesta orders.
"Now, your turn, sweetheart."
