This morning sucked. Woke up at 7 on less than 5 hours of sleep to bake over 50 Eccles cakes. Didn’t have like half my ingredients. Bought more only to realise I still didn’t have them all. Burnt myself on the syrupy filling. Printer died on me as I was trying to get a printing job done. Forgot to have lunch I was so excited. Locked my car key in the boot. Waited an hour in the sun in all black to make sure I didn’t get a parking ticket whilst trying to get said key out. Got stuck in traffic for half an hour only to find I’d just moved under 100 metres. Accidentally had the thermostat cranked up to 40C the whole journey. All of this, just to get to a screening.

Then when I got there….

Shrimp emotions. The atmosphere was incredible. Got there 3 hours early. Immediately bonded with people, and it just felt so warm and exciting. I passed round the Eccles cakes in its little (very large) Antichrist basket. We all counted down with the timer waiting for the episodes to start. The episodes were amazing, and I have to thank @neil-gaiman for making this season come true - it was everything I hoped for and more, and I think that’ll be the case for pretty much everyone. I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world, even if I had to live through this morning 20x over.

Trust me when I say you’re not prepared for season 2. No one is.

if you're wondering why I'm not posting about the screening it's because there is literally nothing I have to say that can be summed up in a tumblr post. when I tell you this is going to be the season 2 we all hoped for but didn't dare believe could ever happen I say that without a speck of exaggeration. this might be the best season of tv I've ever seen. It was very nice, if more than a bit weird. It’s a shame they didn’t show the episode with the cemetery scenes that night. They did have free booze and snacks 😁👻

In regards to this and how a screening like such will work, I am basing this on my experience of going to watch many Netflix and movie premieres in NYC. However— I have not been to an Amazon one.

What normally occurs:

- Emails sent out about upcoming oppurtunities

- Email or marketing when tickets are available. Many times it’s first come, first served. Expect to pay. Reserve as quick as possible. Many times the tickets come with food and exclusive merch :) (from my experience)

- Seats can either be chosen or not.

- If bought, tickets will then be emailed, etc. If it’s free tickets, it’s whomever is first in line/first there.

- Arrive early if it’s free and seats aren’t guaranteed! two to three hours before is what works for me <3

can we talk about how much queer and trans joy was this season? maggie and nina. they/them muriel, saraquel, beelzebub, even GOD. "you're a good lad" "im not actually, either". that one shopkeeper and his non binary spouse, played by a non binary actor. beelzebub and gabriel. shax, nina and maggie all thinking azi and crowley were together. also yes i'm gonna mention: crowley and aziraphale's kiss. it's just, i get that everyone's hurt and so am i but can we please focus on how beautiful this season was to us? we got so much and i'm so happy, despite the ending.
