I was thinking about how Ani might get insecure more easily but the reader wouldn’t really catch on cause they’re genuinely not interested in anyone but him… or I could imagine this in reverse too tbh but maybe him maybe being a lil but cocky about it yk (and I imagine that this could lead something a bit more steamy if you know what I mean)

hi you’re gorgeous i love jealous anakin i love toxic anakin i’m here for both concepts.

these were my thoughts on anakin’s jealousy, and a little bit about how reader handles it. some of it is a little bit “crack fic” material maybe, or maybe not who knows. i just had a lot of fun using some of my notes :) suggestive stuff and established (fwb?) relationship ahead—

anakin has always had a warped relationship with jealousy, i imagine, and it would start of with things like getting jealous over obi wan patting the head of another child padawan instead of anakin’s when he was a young boy. obi wan would never have showed any favoritism, but to anakin he doesn’t quite grasp why obi wan doesn’t give him more attention that he already does.

of course he cant talk to obi wan about that.

as i’ve seen in TCW— which i felt like was pretty in character for hayden!anakin— was how anakin walked in on rush clovis trying to kiss his wife padme, and he beat the shit out of him without thinking another thought.

it’s always 0 to 100 with that kid.

i think that at first, you think it’s hot that anakin gets jealous. how adorably possessive. but when you have to get in the middle of a bar fight it’s exhausting. you’d quarrel with him about it, because all the guy did was touch you, but to anakin that means permission to step in. and when anakin steps in, it’s like when a bull sees red.

it’s not something we see him grow out of, because in episode 3 he’s yelling at the council for not making him a master, which i think stemmed from a place of jealousy. how his vast accomplishments and power should’ve earned him the seat, and that he deserves one as a master jedi. and then ofc the whole “i saw you with obi wan, padme i’m gonna choke you now” it escalated in seconds just from seeing them together and jumping to his own conclusions.

hes a real “you’re the most jealous man i know” “you know other men?” type (like that meme djksdj)

now that ive gotten my info in order, lets get to the good bits

☥ anakin and you would have a secret relationship. whether it was fwb, or more than that, it’s not an excuse you get to use often as a fail safe if a guy can’t take a hint or take the answer no. there are other times, where you lean into the conversation, let him flirt a little cos you think he’s cute (especially if you and anakin have labeled your relationship as an fwb). you wanna get out there more, and this guy seems nice enough.

now anakin, who can’t let you know he’s jealous (because youre either fwbs or just romantic partners, and he cant have his sense of urgency giving anything away to you or to bystanders), decides to make it your problem that youre flirting with someone in his vicinity. so he squeezes in. in between you and this guy. stands in between you, faces you entirely, to ask you a question. as innocent as ever.

“where’d you stash those power converters?”

“ani, i’m a little busy right now,”

“so tell me and i can get out of your hair.”

“ugh, um, i think in the storage in the west wing.”

it’s the fact he asserted his dominance that leaves him satisfied to leave. (didn’t acknowledge the guy you’re with, faced you entirely, and cut in between you two). however, as time goes on, and you get more bold with whoever you decide to flirt with (or let flirt with you), anakin does the same.

☥ if he sees you with someone new, especially if you’re smiling and hes around your age, anakin will talk to you about it after. “i don’t like the way he was looking at you.”

“he was cute,”

“he looked like a murderer.”

“stop making up reasons for me not to go out with somebody, i deserve happiness.”

“his eyes were too close together, that’s how you know he’s a murderer.”

it’s almost comical.

☥ you mention a new guy in passing and anakin’s first thought is “Is he trying to sleep with you?” and you tilt your head at him with a sort of :/

“ani, darling, just because you wanted to bed me the second we met doesn’t mean everybody does.”

“i want you to know, (y/n), my senses are fine tuned when it comes to you and anticipating the intentions of those around you.”

“you’re guessing,”

“i’m guessing.”

☥ if he saw you at a bar, and a guy managed to worm his way into your interest, anakin invites himself in. and whispers dirty things in your ear before you realize what he’s doing.

just loud enough for the stranger to hear, “i can’t stop thinking about last night. you’re so experienced, it was unlike anything i’ve had before.” and he straightens, “call me.” and grins at the guy you’re with before he leaves. the guy is now getting up to leave—

i wrote some notes about this particular subject ill just plop here hehehe:

☥ im absolutely here for anakin struggling against his jealous and possessive behavior bcos you and him arent “together”. having to stay unattached means he had a very hard time letting go of the fact you liked it when some other guy had his hands all over you trying to show you how to shoot a blaster

you were born with a blaster in your hand, your dad was a hunter and taught you how to use one to kill and then how to skin the animal, your whole life you’ve had one on your for emergency purposes in your criminal line of work, you know how to take any model apart and put it back together, modify it to fit your needs, use them in the war you fought in alongside anakin

and some guy is behind you, correcting your stance and wrapping his arms around yours, showing you where to aim and youre letting him. giggling at whatever he’s whispering in your ear

and anakin is watching from afar.

☥ “what’s she doing?” he asks rex

rex glances at you, “oh, it looks like she’s getting acquainted with our new bombs expert, sir.”

“and why would she be doing that?” anakin gestures to your scheme of pretending not to know how to aim

“he gives us better deals, sir. especially when he’s in a good mood.”

“i can put him in a better one.”

anakin strolls over and tells the bombs expert to show him how to use a blaster. when the guy starts moving his arms for him, anakin is like “no no. like you showed her,” and points to you. and the guy stands behind him (shorter than anakin btw so hes gotta lean over to see past anakin’s shoulder) and you’re behind them literally struggling to not laugh out loud.

you’re red in the face. hand covering your eyes which are tearing up from laughter. smile plastered on your lips bcos you can’t control it. you peek out at anakin letting this guy struggle to show him how he was showing you KSKSND

☥ you elbow him while you’re hiding your face but he can see how red you are. “what? what’d i do?” he asks, completely innocent

“why’d you do that?” you say through your snickers

“i wanted him to see how stupid he was being.”

“you’re lucky it was fucking funny. hopefully he’ll still call me.”

“oh, in that case,” anakin turns to go back and you gotta grab his arm

☥ “you know how to use a blaster.”

“i just liked how excited he was to show me.”

“why?”

“you didn’t see him? he was tall, handsome—“

“i’ve heard enough.”

“why are you pissed off?”

“because i didn’t like it.”

☥ however you don’t mind the hard jealous sex you get from anakin after—

anakin, through gritted teeth, “yeah. and i’m getting real tired of it.”

Yeah I think Toto is gonna do it, which I really have no idea how that will go. But I think if he lost Kimi to another team he would actually just end it all. And you are right they are in a position to give a rookie some room to grow since they are not super competitive right now. Plus I think George will be a really good mentor.

I don't think it's likely Carlos goes to Merc simply because they seem to have very different goals. Like they clearly only would want someone to fill the seat until Kimi is ready (if they don't put him in next year) and I don't think that really aligns with what Carlos wants. Also they aren't exactly stunning on track with the car they've made at the moment.

I mean, I really don't see how Aston is going to drop Lance. It's really up to what Lance wants to do more than anything else. As far as I know most people seem to have ruled out Aston for Carlos since Fernando re-newed and is going to live there forever.

I am not also versed on Carlos and Nando's relationship? I'm sure they are friends, but would they work well together as teammates??? That's the question, I am not sure mostly because Nando is insane. But it also could be interesting.

I do not think Red Bull is a serious contender. They have a lot of options, plus Checo is currently performing at the level he needs to keep his seat. I actually wonder if they wouldn't go for someone younger(if they don't keep Checo which at this point I think they should keep him, he's solid and works well with Max why mess up a good thing?) My pick for someone not Checo for that RB seat would be Yuki, he's got the experience and he's doing everything right so far.

I keep hearing that Audi has made a pretty big offer to Carlos and there is some pressure on him to take it(sooner rather than later), but maybe someone who's been listening to the rumor mill on that side of things wants to fill us all in.

red bull deserved the apology from daniel, let's not get it twisted and rewrite history like drive to survive did. he left no warning he chose to look for a seat elsewhere without warning and choose to accept that seat before telling the team. red bull was not the villain in dan's exit from the team, the reverse was true. they would never have had to promote pierre before he was ready had daniel told them his plans in time because they could've pursued other drivers more experienced drivers before their drives were locked up elsewhere. instead pierre was literally the only option because they weren't going to put a rookie in the red bull so that ruled alex out until they seemed happy with his progress with toro rosso and it ruled the other red bull academy gang out too and hartley was already out of his seat at toro rosso so they weren't going to hand him to the keys to the red bull and they were never going to put kvyat back in the red bull. I'm not going defend or excuse horner or helmet because they were shitty but let's not pretend the initial pierre gets the red bull seat was all sunshine and rainbows until the fairytale went wrong. had daniel stuck to his contract or given more of a heads up so they could've gotten another driver sooner is probably the biggest what if for dans career and for pierres too because we'll never know how pierre would've done had he not been made to jump before he was ready. as for dan it's common believe that he lost any chance of a wdc the moment he left red bull. dan did a shitty move and he did it again at renault and let's be clear he did burn bridges there. red bull were willing to overlook their burned bridges to build new ones with him and giving him a place to rebuild and to support him. as for pierre alex though I'm not going to say they weren't done wrong or dirty but red bull didn't throw them out with the trash alex became a test and reserve driver and had the teams support and backing to drive in other series and to pursue the williams seat, they let pierre out of his contract so he could move to alpine and wished him the best which does not happen in this sport see how otmar and alpine have handled the oscar situation like had red bull had have as much energy as alpine had yikes and red bull would've actually had a case pierres career would've been screwed. red bull being the villains might make the best clickbait for likes and views but they've never behaved as badly as the other teams.

It was so so easy to make Red Bull but especially Christian and Max the big bad villains and the reason why Daniel jumped ship when the dude opted to leave after giving Red Bull the idea he was going to resign. Then he decided after literally a year to fuck off to Mclaren for more money and what he thought was a first seat.

Like his ego of losing to a teenager fucked up his career choices and tbh he should have never left Renault because he would still most likely have a seat🤷🏼‍♀️

Alpha Tauri/VCARB isn’t a junior team, it’s a sister team. They want to make the team viable and get results which wasn’t happening when it was a junior team. Arguably many would say it hasn’t been a junior team since they let Danil Kyvat back in 2019. Others say it’s when Brendan Hartley was on the team. He wasn’t a junior driver at 28, in 2018, but a prodigy who burnt out as a red bull junior driver years previously. Even having Pierre in that team for so long and who was never getting promoted to red bull again after the demotion and yelling at Adrian Newey.

The Torro Rosso/Alpha Tauri team has gone through an identity crisis since 2018 and was heightened by Ricciardo leaving and red bull having to promote drivers who weren’t ready and look elsewhere to fill the red bull seat instead of looking in their arsenal of junior drivers. The rebrand of VCARB and the sponsorships etc are helping them become a decent team fighting in the midfield instead of the back. That’s amplified by the team wanting an experienced driver and a young driver to balance it but also churn the wheel of red bull young drivers. Yuki will be the experienced driver soon with Liam being the rookie, Yuki just needs to learn and they’re giving him the tools to so. This team and the mess that it is is my Roman Empire and I’m such a nerd about it

i really did not expect to strike such a nerve with this ask answer, i've learned my lesson lmao.

when i first decided that i want to learn more about the sport, i went through each team's wikipedia page to get an overview of their history, their drivers etc and it's been a while since i've read the toro rosso/alphatauri/v-carb article, but i vividly recall it saying that toro rosso first "became a junior team for red bull, in which mainly young drivers from its own driver programme are deployed" (roughly translating from german here) when the management was transferred to franz tost, helmut marko and gerhard berger. and after that, there was no mention of that status getting revoked.

additionally, the team does get referred to as a sister team of red bull, as you said, in this article (the german wikipedia article, just to clarify). but i wasn't under the impression that being labelled as such invalidates their previously defined junior team status. especially because it says on the v-carb website that an "integral part of [their] mission [to be in the heart of the mid-field action] has always been to provide a launch pad for talented youngsters making their way in this sport". that still sounded pretty junior team-esque to me, which is why i called them that in my answer to the daniel ask.

was there ever an official shift from junior to strictly sister team, like a proper announcement or anything like that? tbh i didn't have a lot of time or motivation to do more thorough research because this discussion, if you can even call it that, was not an intentional consequence of my answer to the initial ask, so i wouldn't be very surprised if there's something i missed. as you seem much more invested in this, you've probably got some information and better sources on that, so feel free to drop that in my inbox!

there she stood in the doorway / I heard the mission bell: "she" — the rbr golden boy™. Historically there have only been two (Seb & Max); but "she" is also an ideal. There is only one golden boy at any given time; but the golden boy is not one person.

I was thinking to myself / this could be Heaven or this could be Hell: pretty self-explanatory.

then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way: the way — the road paved with gold and glory. It could be yours, if you wanted. If you're good enough.

plenty of room at the hotel california / any time of year / you can find it here: the red bull junior program with its 50,000 seats across different series. All fighting for four seats in f1 (realistically only three at the moment tbh), but only one is worth having.

such a lovely place / such a lovely face: the glamour of the red bull sports empire. The ephemeral mass-produced dream "red bull gives you wings".

we haven't had that spirit here since 1969: insert low effort joke about rbr only serving red bull energy drinks.

and still those voices are calling from far away / wake you up in the middle of the night / just to hear them say: ghosts of former trialed-and-errored rbr drivers. This is a very old story.

what a nice surprise: obvious irony. Contrast to line in previous chorus "plenty of room" — the rude awakening of getting dropped/shunned/exiled from the rbr ""family"".

bring your alibis: alibis — aka contingency plans. May allude to ultimately racing in a different series. It may go well it may go great it may even redeem you. But at the end of the day formula uno is always numero uno.

we are all just prisoners here, of our own device: multiple rbr drivers obviously but most notably Daniel & pre-alpine Pierre. You suffer this just to have this a while.

and in the master's chambers / they gathered for the feast: Christian Horner's annual silverstone barbeque (lol)

they stab it with their steely knives / but they just can't kill the beast: the beast — the easy answer here would be Helmut Marko; but also — the monstrousity of your own ambition. You want to kill him, you want to be his golden boy. You are disgusted and terrified of how much you need him to find you worthy. Which brings us back to:

mirrors on the ceiling: being forced to confront your own desire (delusions) but also self-doubt: am I truly as good as they say? Am I truly as good as I believed? Will I ever be good enough? Have I ever been good enough?

I was running for the door / I had to find the passage back to the place I was before: everyone that left that eventually found fulfillment & self-actualization elsewhere. Rediscovering the racing driver in you that fell in love first & foremost with the racing. Applies to many but mostly I'm thinking about Alex at Williams.

we are programmed to receive: can't get over the word "programmed" here. Driver development "program". So clinical. Mechanical. Methodical. Completely devoid of human sympathy.

you can check-out any time you like / but you can never leave: do I even need to say it? Daniel & Seb — "and then come home". Seb is probably the only one out of two people (the other being Max) to whom the word "home" does not come with baggage. (Or; relatively little baggage. There is still something to be said about leaving home to prove something to yourself & others and then ultimately being proven wrong. But of course the Sebrrari saga is much more layered & complex than that). For Daniel it's the return to the lion's den (knowing full well that it's a lion's den), because the lion's den is the only place that will welcome him with open arms (open jaws) anymore. Time is a flat circle. For as long as you continue to want you can never leave.

Not saying I don't agree or anything but what does redbull being interested in Charles has to do with Carlos going more against the team, team orders or his negotiations not going so well? I just don't see the correlation...

I have to say I find it kinda interesting how Charles renovating is taking so long, but I honestly don't see him going anywhere. Even if it would be interesting having him in 'equal machinery' with Max, I just find it imposible for any top tier driver to want to go to redbull when they know Max has the measure of that team through and through, they would really need to be desperate.

it could all mean nothing/not be related at all tbh, everyone will draw their own conclusions, and frankly, i'm not the type of person who likes to make assumptions. but, and it's always going to be a but unless they outright confirm it (which is unlikely), i think it would be as followed:

red bull shows interest in charles, it doesn't have to be much, it can be as simple as 'hi, are you on the market?' (imo the answer should pretty much always be 'yes', even if they're not, simply because of the leverage it can give a driver/their manager when negotiating a contract). but now that rb has show interest, ferrari/fred want to assure that charles doesn't go to them (it's not a question of whether he would, it's whether he can) and start contract negotiations, at least publicly. the earliest mention of negotiations that i know of is from the 22nd of may.

now, why is all of that relevant to carlos? well, carlos' contract ends at the same time as charles', but now that rb has shown interest in charles, which contract do you think ferrari/fred are prioritising? carlos wants to stay with ferrari, he also thinks he's at the same level/better than charles. and in the past, he's had short term contracts before (toro rosso/renault) and therefor wants clarity for his future. i can't see him being too happy that his teammate is giving priority on that front, which could out itself with some of the things we've been seeing from him. for example, in austria he doesn't outright say he has more pace, but instead he implies that the pitwall can see that he has more pace. after the race, fred points out that carlos knew that the driver behind would 'seem' to have more pace because of the 3 drs zones and that they were always planning to keep them in the positions they started in (barring a switch at the start, i imagine), so why does carlos say it anyway? is he trying to sway the pitwall regardless of what was planned? is he publicly (because it's a broadcasted radio) putting pressure on them? does he want people to hear that he's the faster driver? maybe none of those, because we don't know, all we know is that it has happened, as well as other moments of discontent

this got wayyyy longer than i thought it would be, so i hope that makes sense, but if not, i guess the tldr is: charles' contract is being prioritised by fred because rb has shown interest in him, leaving carlos on stand-by.

i do think charles is going to stay, at least for now, but idk, it's a hard one when it comes to the second rb seat. if you think you're the best driver on the grid, you should be (or think you're) able to beat max in the same car. i mean, daniel wanted to be next to seb, who just won 4 championships in a row. valtteri/george wanted to be next to lewis, a 3 time wdc in 2017, and a 7 time wdc in 2022. is the rb & max combination really that more 'intimidating' (for the lack of a better word) that drivers are unwilling to get into a (or currently the) top team? i honestly don't know

I think people are a little bit blind and delusional about their blorbos because the reality is that maybe one more person on the current grid will become a wdc. So everyone thinking their fav will get a championship, I’m sorry, but they probably won’t. There’s 34 wdc since 1950. There’s no way every second person will manage to get one.

Reality is also that most of the teams will drop their fav drivers in a few years if they don’t win a championship because new talent will come in eventually. Ferrari probably won’t resign Charles after this if he doesn’t manage to win a championship. They’ve dropped drivers for less tbh. He might be their il predestinato today but it won’t last if he doesn’t get a championship. Ferrari expects loyalty but they rarely give it back. Look at Kimi, Alonso, and Seb. Where was the loyalty then? Alonso gave more of a fight than Charles currently is. And yeah the team is fucking up, but it’s Ferrari and they will never blame themselves. Charles has the longest contract in F1 history, and not a lot to show for it…

Merc will probably get their shit together at some point, and they’ll prioritize George at that point if Lewis isn’t in the team anymore. But Merc won’t sign a driver to sit next to George that isn’t a Bottas or a Perez. Toto can’t handle another silver war and won’t sign someone that will take it to George.

Lando and Ocon will have spent the majority of their careers in a midfield team without a very impressive resume. Perez got signed by a top team because although he wasn’t in a top car he still had a very consistent track record in both qualifying and in races. Lando and Esteban can’t say the same.

Pierre will most likely have his last season in f1 next year. He had a spot in a top team and bottled it. He couldn’t handle it.

Alex will most likely continue in a backmarker team like Haas or Williams and not get a chance to move up. He’s been at the top and didn’t succeed. It’s a black mark on your track record. That goes for Alex and Pierre.

Yuki, Mick and Zhou I don’t have much of an opinion on. Yuki will most likely stay as long as there’s a Honda engine in F1. He’s part of formula dreams. I also don’t see Red Bull kicking him out of the program considering how long they held on to both Daniil and Pierre. There’s clearly an issue between Mick and Haas so idk if he’ll stay. But I have high hopes for Zhou (if someone can just make that Alfa last the entire race, please and thank you)

I haven't been in f1 long enough to comment on the rest, a lot of people have high hopes for Oscar Pastry but like you're a rookie in a mclaren so uhh let's see about that ! i think Williams are committed to Alex who I'd like to see against an actual teammate that isn't a goatstappen or goatifi to accurately judge~ he and nycky can have a mid off in Williams

a George centric merc team O_O terrifying but imminent future....... one I won't be around to see but just knowing it's gonna happen casts dark clouds in my heart

not everyone can be a WDC but teams DO need reliable midfielders!!! constructor's 3rd and 4th have multimillion dollar difference in terms of funding, and they need reliable stable middle of the grid drivers who get into points.... who they can afford without an insane salary (sorry daniel. got the bag tho😌) so rookies have a shot and some of our mid besties have a seat~

don't worry it's exams season for me too and i'm passing time through social medias so i don't think about the impending doom of not studying (i'm a procrastinator, i love to ruin my life)

anywaysss, last year was filled with avoidable problems in ferrari, it's clear. yes, they did have to run with a lower engine to avoid blowing it up (they only turned it up for monza, following what it was said during week interviews). the strategies call were insane, and i might be putting on my tinfoil hat again here, but it was clear most of those strategies starting after barcelona were favourable for carlos and not charles (and i'm not blaming the driver himself, i'm blaming the situation that came to be inside of the team). the team didn't listen to charles, as if they didn't trust him, which is terrible bc he grew up so much from 2019, now he knows how to save the tyres, how to trick other drivers into thinking he's having problems with the tyres when he's not (ie: baku 2023 when he played alonso at his own game).

many of the problems inside ferrari have been there for YEARS, even during arrivabene's seasons. he got sacked bc the team made a huge mess during qualifying in monza 2018 and that year in general was terrible bc an important person inside the team passed away suddenly (marchionne). charles got signed during the singapore weekend, right after monza, so arrivabene knew he wouldn't be tp anymore once charles made it to the team, but he still signed him to keep the promise asked by marchionne.

it's no secret that binotto was never a fan of seb during his last years in ferrari. in 2019 he got beaten by charles, which i guess it's something nobody inside the team expected. and with the mess of 2020 i guess that seb in that season didn't have the spirit to fight, which is understandable. he has been there since 2015 and nothing had changed. binotto then basically kicked him out of the door to sign carlos. after that it was clear that binotto was always favoring carlos for whatever reason: the upgrades turning the car to understeer (so opposite to what charles likes bc anybody who had listen to him at least once knows that he likes more an oversteery car - and when the car was oversteery charles had pulled his amazing pole positions and had a grand chelem), giving him the favourable strategy in more occasions etc. binotto's interviews were always more aligned with carlos' rather than charles'. binotto and carlos were talking about bringing home points, whereas charles was talking about winning. this is everything i need to know to understand who's going to be a champion and who won't tbh.

again, i'm not hating on carlos himself, but his father was hanging out at the garage and some of his interviews too were... sketchy. for example when last year he said that this year car would be of carlos' taste. like why would ferrari make a car more likable for the driver whom ended up 5th in the championship standing (would have been 6th if it wasn't for hamilton's dnf in abu dhabi) instead of the currently vice champion? and yes, during toro rosso's days it said that sainz sr. and jos verstappen were exactly friends, bc apparently sainz sr. thought that the red bull seat would go to carlos, but obviously red bull ended up choosing max and i guess this is something that the sainzs didn't like. again, not an attack to carlos himself, but max (like a few other drivers) is a generational talent, red bull was always going to choose him, let's be honest.

as for carlos' race engineer... riccardo adami has never been fond of charles since he put feet in that garage. idk what's actually up with him, but apparently when charles made it to ferrari some of seb's engineers and mechanics were given to him, which is something that adami didn't like. since 2019 he had made some backhanded comments about charles or ones that were clearly a jab at him. it looks like adami sometimes only listen to carlos and doesn't communicate with xavi (i'm not a xavi fan, but poor guy has it rough and since charles said xavi is the person he trusts the most in the team... yeah, something was/is up), reason why the team sometimes pulled some shit that ended up being charles' to pay. one of the latest issues was in spain: charles out in q1 bc he had an issues (ferrari didn't disclose what it was, saying there was nothing wrong, but after years of knowing them, i personally think charles had a broken chassis or a wrong set up of the differential gear), but carlos got p2 and adami's comment was something along the lines of "what a team" (meant as a praise). like obviously a race engineer is going to be happy for their driver, but this wasn't a team result, more like a team failure bc if the car was THAT good during qualifying, both cars should have made it to the front at least. also, a lot of times charles complained to xavi bc they didn't let him out first for qualifying (for example it happened in australia and in monaco). then you hear the communtications on carlos' side of the garage and you have adami telling him to go out, so he finds himself in front of charles. yes, xavi makes mistakes nobody can say the opposite, but i feel like a lot of times it's adami who doesn't even listen to him for whatever reason he has to dislike charles. then you have charles having to pull stuff out of his ass to still end up in front of carlos.

so idk in which order i'm saying things, but yeah... the situation is not ideal inside the team, with people disliking one another and whatever. they are missing the key for success: comunication. this is something the red bull and mercedes have and they rarely lack it, reason why even in bad situations they can make it out.

personally i think things are changing a bit with vasseur, but the process is long and it's not something you can fix easily. but the fact that in canada the team told the drivers to not fight (bc that is what it was) bc they thought perez would catch up with them is already something, bc i believe that if binotto was still there he would have let them fight it out, risking losing time and pace.

I think a good example for things going wrong inside the team was silverstone and charles just taking off and leaving. If if was just another mistake, he wouldn’t have done that imo, but it goes to show that he at least felt disrespected by the team, if not during the race then for sureee when binotto was showed lecturing him.

I feel like ferrari have such a big issue with valuing the drivers they have. They never see the potential or if they see it, they for some reason play it down and it’s a repetitive pattern with kimi, alonso, seb and now charles.

Also, i totally explained charles using fernando’s tire managing trick against him in baku to my friends and my family even though most of them don’t really care😭😂

As you said, ferrari lack communication for sure. But also, merc and rb are given a lot of shit about having driver hierarchy especially when fighting at the top but honestly through the years, i think no one can deny that this method proved that it’s the most efficient way to win and dominate.

As for adami, I really don’t pay too much attention to him so I didn’t know all that! I mean I don’t expect him to like Charles cause obviously he’s his teammate’s engineer but they’re still part of the same team…

But i would totally believe Ferrari not admitting to what went wrong. There was DEFINITELY something wrong with the car in Spain, but that’s not the only time I believe that Ferrari lied. Imo France last year wasn’t completely charles’ fault cause to me it was fishy that just before the crash, he was complaining about something in the car feeling off but as soon as he was doing interviews he was blaming himself fully?!? (not saying he doesn’t hold any responsibility but idk)

And when it comes to Binotto, I never understood the man tbh. There was times where he talked about charles feeling like a son to him cause his son was of the same age and shit but that’s also not how you would treat someone who you see as dear as your own blood. Like there was something not adding up at all.

And really, it’s a know fact that oversteery cars are “faster” and if i’m not wrong, max and lewis? both prefer oversteer on their cars.

As for the winning vs. getting points thing, it was literally seen just last week in Canada. Charles was saying that p4 is improvement but not the goal cause the goal is always to win while carlos was going around saying that weekend was perfect and the team nailed it (when literally the drivers did their own strategy) idk some people might not see it like that, but to me charles’ mentality is winning mentality🤷🏻‍♀️

There’s definitely positive changes happening within the team but part of me is scared that the results of these changes will appear when it’s already too late…

So. Red Bull and Mercedes:

I agree 100% !! For RBR, with Max it's obvious and for Checo, depending on how his season ends it could also be that he retires soon. Maybe not this year but after 2024? We'll see. He's not an amazingly talented driver but he's for sure not bad. Otherwise he wouldn't have kept his seat all this time. Personaly I'd prefer someone new in the 2nd RB like Charles, Carlos or Daniel. 🤭 For Merc, like I said you put it spot on! And I don't see Lewis moving to any other team ever so it must be either Merc or nothing.

Aston Martin:

Tbh I have actually been wondering whether Lance will ever leave his dad's team and go to maybe Alpine? Just imagine Estie Bestie and Lance as teammates! It could be so entertaining! Ik that AM are doing quite alright for F1 team standards but... why not? Lance might want to try smth. new too. Maybe that's also what Fernando tells him? (don't really think so but it could be so interesting!! 😁)

Ferrari:

You made some really good points here! I agree on both Charles and Carlos and I wish that Ferrari finally get their sh*t together and give them a car that'll get wins next season. I'm not sure what I'd say who of the two will make the move to leave for another team first but they both really should...

McLaren:

My thoughts exactly! If McLaren <3 keeps it's success and they keep getting podiums I'd say Lando and Oscar will both stay as long as it lasts. Maybe even longer bc we've seen the faith Lando has in his team and as you said he IS kind of connected to it in a similar way Charles is connected to Ferrari. I hope they stay with them for a couple of seasons at least! 🧡✨

Alpine:

Yes I imagine there will be a few more changes coming, not sure if that includes the drivers though. Pierre might leave (or have to leave) sometime in the future but since he's not doing that bad and he has just joined Alpine after all, I guess he'll stay next season. But Jack could totally be a option as well! I forgot about him 😅 Always love an Aussie in an F1 car 🥰

Williams:

You probably are right on this one again but I'm being delusional 'cause I honestly really like Logan 🥹 He is very american yes and he isn't showing the results asked for ik but I adore his character and I just decided to tell myself he'll be around in F1 for a few more years... 🩵 Alex is quite impressive atm and deserves a much better car!! That's all I'm going to say about his case 🩵

Haas:

Nothing to add. (Except I think it's a cringeworthy team. 😅)

Alfa Romeo:

I haven't heard the rumours about Valtteri so thank you for informing me. 🤔 It'd be too bad to see him go but I guess he has been around for quite a long time and he probably wont get a contract with a top team anymore. So yeah makes sense for him. Zhou's contract renewal is in the works I heard so he'll be back for sure.

Alpha Tauri:

Daniel will make it to the next season I'm sure. He's not doing outstanding but he's doing better then Nyck. If he works hard enough and him and Max stay friends (which I don't doubt at all) Helmut will give him that 2025 RB seat happily. And Yuki might stay with AT forever. 😭

Agree on both your points about Alex and Charles. I just hope they realize sooner rather than later that Williams and Ferrari can't give them the car they need just yet. And if they are successful with other teams they will always be welcomed back in the end. So Charles could still go back to his beloved team. 🏎

time to catch up on quali

(yes i spoiled myself on the results already but i have to watch lewis get pole with my own two eyes)

- i actually like the idea of the new format, i think it’s a good and less complicated way of spicing things up for quali. tho arguably, quali is doesn’t really need to be spiced up bc it gives way more stress and excitement than the races do

- the commentators questioning mercedes’ decision to send george and lewis out later than everyone else .. same lol. like i get that the track gets faster the more rubber is put on it but it’s so fucking stressful to watch them risk them not making it thru at the end of each session

- the question of how many races to give daniel leeway.. i think giving him until after the summer break is fair?? two races might not be a lot but i think it gives us an idea of the gap to him and yuki and i think rbr has done everything to give daniel the tools to succeed. i know he’s not the most adaptable driver but he already knows the red bull + alpha tauri team, and i think he’s a lot more comfortable with them already than he ever was in mclaren

- seeing valtteri at the top of the timing boards again makes me so happy. i love him and i always wish that alfa romeo were a better car and team so him and guanyu can do well and get points instead of just slugging around at the bottom like they have been lately

- george out of Q1... the petty part of me is happy bc i don’t like him and it’s a fuck you to everyone who said george was better than lewis bc of the qualifying results last year. but it’s also not his fault and mercedes need to stop sending them out so late and into traffic

- yuki getting eliminated in Q1 :( as much as i’m happy about daniel and yuki being teammates bc i rly like them both, it’s bittersweet bc there’s a lot at stake for both of them in their current situation. tbh i’m more worried about yuki losing his seat more than daniel so even tho i’m happy about daniel beating him (esp as a fuck you to his haters), it also leaves a bad feeling for me

- ouch the graphic that checo hasn’t made it to Q3 in the last 5 races. it’ll be interesting to see how he does for the rest of the year now that daniel is back. at least he’s made it this time i suppose

- carlos out in Q2 🤭 this quali has been good to me (aside from alex getting knocked out early)

- wow daniel getting the best qualifying result for alpha tauri in the last 5 races, let’s go ba-by! i feel vindicated that he’s doing well. i’ve had the thought that a lot of his poor form at mclaren can be attributed to confidence and psychology and i think that’ll be proven correct as we see the rest of the year

- not this commentary about how fast these random people are going down the water slide LOL. ngl i’ve been really enjoying the f1 tv commentary since i switched from the international feed and i wish i had done it sooner

- lewis pole !!!!!!! the emotion on the radio and him crying in the car. no words can describe how happy i am, how proud i am. he’s been working so hard and it’s been a long time coming. i’ve never stopped believing in him and i know there are more good things to come and i can’t wait to see it

Early valentines day fluff cuz I was trying to write my smut submissions and it keeps coming out as fluff 🤣🤣 I’m a little iffy on the concept of white day, correct me if I’m wrong at all, most of my experience with it comes from my extensive knowledge of romance manga lol! But it sounds to me like the girl gives the guy chocolates instead! Which is cute af! We need more of that in the world and tbh I wish we had white day!

Mikasa heads to her morning class sleep deprived and pumped full of red bull. She is going on four hours of sleep, and has eaten exclusively failed chocolate creations for the past day and a half. It has to be perfect, perfect, one hundred percent perfect. Eren had gotten her the pretties most thoughtful Valentine’s spread ever and they’re not even dating! They were friend chocolates!

So Mikasa had thought it high time to finally make her move on the boy she’s been crushing on since he first bumped into her on that welcome tour.

She finds Eren sitting next to Armin in their morning class, huddled up in the far corner because as he claims, it’s too early to sit that close to the professor. Eren likes to take increment snoozes whenever they do group activities, and he definitely cannot do that when he sits at the front of the room. So the back it is.

On his tiny lecture hall desk Mikasa is relieved to notice there is not a single chocolate, not a candy in sight and she’s excited to be the first one to give him something today, it’ll make it all the more special. As she makes her way up the stairs of the lecture hall she almost laughs at Armin’s large collection of chocolate, there is a growing pile next to him as girls from their class blush and drop it off, her blonde friend nervously accepting it.

Mikasa laughs knowing Annie will be the one to eat it all later, the sweet tooth on that girl.

Mikasa makes it to the top and Eren creaks an eye open from his snooze to look at her, examining her carefully as she stands in front of their seats instead of immediately sitting down. “Mikasa, good morning,” Armin greets cheerfully, trying to move his mountain of chocolate out of the way for her to sit.

“Hey Miks,” Eren greets her, gesturing to the spot in the very corner next to the wall that he usually prefers, but has evidently saved for her today.

It makes her feel like she’s really got a chance!

“Hi,” she greets breathlessly and Eren perks up in her presence, sitting up a little more.

“Come sit.” “Yeah,” she says softly, before pulling out her gifts, “But first Happy White Day!”

She hands Armin his prettily packaged bag of chocolates as she steps over him to reach the seat next to Eren and her blonde friend beams. “Thanks Mikasa!”

As she pulls out Eren’s slaved over chocolate she regrets her wrapping a little bit, having put drastically less effort into those than she did the actual chocolate, but it’s the thought that counts right?

However, as she looks down at the obvious juxtaposition in effort between the two, she can’t help but be a little concerned with how Eren will react to her rather crude wrapping job.

As she sits down in her seat, handing him the plastic bag she is almost immediately proven right.

Eren gasps, “Is that pity chocolate?”

Famous last words, and Mikasa has no idea how to get herself out of this one. How is she supposed to explain to him that no, these are the chocolates, the ones she’d spent all night crafting, a perfect creation, some sweet, some a little spicy with a kick, the largest variety of flavours she could come up with. She’d spent hours perfecting them, and these particular chocolates are batch 33, the finalized recipe after a lot of tweaking. They’re not the prettiest chocolates out there, but they taste damn good. But now, looking at the clear difference in packaging comparing Armin and Eren’s chocolates her sleep-deprived brain can understand why Eren would think they’re pity chocolates. Armin’s is all prettily packaged in a cellophane bag with pretty pink curled ribbons, and stickers. Eren’s chocolates on the other hand, had been thrown together at about 9 am this morning after copious amounts of crying and yelling that the ribbon wouldn’t curl properly before she’d finally given up and thrown it into a plastic Ziploc bag so she wouldn’t be late to class.

Her mouth parts as she struggles to defend her ugly chocolates, not wanting to bruise his ego, but unsure how to basically tell him these chocolates are her very blatant confession of love to him.

Thank God for Armin, he saves her ass, giving her a wink as he turns to scold his friend.

“Eren! Don’t be a dick, those are obviously hand-made chocolates,” he emphasizes the word and Eren looks down at the bag curiously, like maybe it’s not so bad. “Clearly, Mikasa went to a lot of effort making them for you so why don’t you try one instead of judging it like an asshole.” Eren looks up at her guiltily, scratching the back of his head, “Sorry Miks, I’m just a little sensitive I haven’t gotten chocolates yet and Armin over here,” he gives his friend an unimpressed look, “has an entire collection.” “Well maybe if you weren’t such a grumpy douchebag and participated in group activities, girls would like you more. Now shut up and eat your damn chocolate.” Mikasa watches the exchange with bated breath, nodding in acceptance of Eren’s apology, she understands how sensitive Eren is about girls sometimes, he’s very insecure about his lack of experience. It doesn’t matter to her today though, she just wants him to try a chocolate, she’s sure once he tastes them, he’ll understand.

He looks like he wants to fight with Armin more, but with another glance up at her he seems to understand her desires. Without much more resistance, he takes a rounded chocolate and pops it into his mouth, chewing contemplatively.

She watches uncertainly, will he like them? His eyes shut involuntarily and he continues to chew before letting out a little moan and Mikasa finally allows herself to collapse to her seat in relief, he likes them. After a few more seconds of Eren making the most adorable pleased little sounds and chewing, savouring every last morsel he turns to her seriously, green eyes more intense than she’s ever seen them.

“Marry me Mikasa? Seriously. I already had a massive crush on you but after that I’m going to skip the dating phase altogether I think we should head right into marriage.” Mikasa lets out a high-pitched squeak as a slow smile crawls up Eren’s handsome face, all she can do is nod her head while Eren laughs, bringing her free hand up to his lips for a kiss. She thinks her chocolates worked well enough, maybe even a little too well, she’s not entirely sure about marriage just yet.

These tags though!!! You don't have to post this because it will clearly be controversial, but Daniel has never really struck me as this "poster child on how to be a good person" that his fans try to paint him as anyway. He's good at being good for PR, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - it's clearly worked out for him, as evidenced by his passionate fanbase. However, he's had ample opportunities to go against the grain and show that he's actually a good person. And he's failed to do so every time.

During his time at Red Bull, he could have acknowledged Max's talent instead of pulling the victim "they're prioritizing my teammate and not giving me a chance!" narrative. He also had the opportunity to do this with Lando at McLaren. He didn't take either opportunity and instead made excuses. Ironically enough, Alex's F1 career nearly came to an end after "underperforming" versus Max, yet he's ALWAYS talked about how talented Max is. There was nothing but pride and ego standing in the way of Daniel doing that for the same teammates he felt threatened or outperformed by.

He could have called the DTS dogs off the first time they portrayed Max as a villain to further pull the "Daniel is such a victim" card. He, again, had the opportunity to do this with the way DTS portrayed Lando. He didn't defend his teammates either time. Coincidentally, Max was the one who said something when he saw DTS doing the same thing to Lando that they had done to him.

Daniel saw the way Oscar, a rookie, was painted as a villain and received hate and harassment from his stans for doing nothing other than taking the opportunity for a F1 seat. Never said a word to call his guard dogs off and be a decent person.

When he went on that Tom Segura podcast, he had the opportunity to call them out on their sexist, misogynistic, xenophobic jokes. He didn't. Instead he giggled along with him.

Daniel is a funny guy, and clearly he knows how to manipulate and make PR work for him. I don't know that I would go as far as calling him a "good person" due to that. He's a "good person" in a follow the leader sense. If others on the grid are raising awareness for something or taking a stand against racism, he has no problem going along with them. When he's on his own and has the opportunity to be a good person though, he somehow ALWAYS fails to rise to the occasion. I can't say the same for Max - if he believes someone he cares about has been done wrong, he's going to say something no matter how hated or unpopular it makes him; Max is going to stand up for what and who he believes in. I literally couldn't name one thing Daniel believes in despite him driving for 2 teams I support now; he just says whatever the media wants to hear.

I liked Daniel i do And i do think he’s a a good person definitely but I also think that he knows how much he is v much loved thanks to his character in the sport and tbh he does know he’s always going to be loved by the fans and just in general the people within f1. I think he did also see how being the way he is a v much something that can protect him as well tbh against being called out over his driving and also his v poor decisions he has done before.

He does talk about how talented max is yes but he has always kinda put the idea that he left cause the team were treating him as the second driver as the reason he left and he never actually came out and told his side to not attack Max or Lando or oscar over him leaving reed bull and getting the sack from Mclaren. He knew what way DTS portrayed Max and he let it go on because he was their poster child which meant that Max had to be the big bad villain and never once did Daniel say “hold on, he’s 19/20 this isn’t how he is and it isn’t fair”. Instead daniel just rolled with it which was his decision sure but people saying he’s great when it comes to calling out shit is so not true because he never called it out like Max did for Lando.

Like do I think his personality is who he is definitely I think he’s always been like this but I do think that he knows it will help him when it comes to the media and being v popular in it. Like you said what you see is what you get with Max, he calls out shit he doesn’t agree with and stands for other drivers so that’s why I don’t get why other fans act like Daniel has helped to mold Max?? When they aren’t exactly the exact same🤷🏼‍♀️

I changed it up a little bit with Mics- I hope you don't mind

Present Mic:

• from the getgo something was wrong

• The moment you walked into class he could tell

• You looked like shit

• Dark bags under your eyes, hair messily brushed, just to get it out if your face, and your eyes were a light red.

• You didn't look particularly happy to be there either

• something turns in his stomach, a gut feeling that something really had went down

• And he hated seeing his students upset

• but he was relatively close to you to begin with, his felt different

• He felt like he had to do something

• Everyone settled into their seats as the bull rung but his eyes remained on you

• You honestly didn't pay attention during the lesson

• He could tell as much

• class finishes and the bell rings but you sit still, and it's not until most of the students have trickled out of the room do you start packing up

• He walks over and kneels in front of the desk "You okay there? You don't look so good," he looks concerned and his heart drops when he sees your lip start to quiver

• It takes you 0.27 seconds to break and you're frantically wiping your eyes as sobs wrack your body

• He's got his arms wrapped around you in seconds and you're leaning into his shoulder.

• He isn't sure exactly how long you're crying for but eventually you calm down enough to get out a coherent sentence

• "My-My dad was arrested Friday night. He won't tell me why- he won't let anyone else tell me why and I don't know what else to do," you cry, "I miss him so much and its only been a few days- I don't- I don't have anyone else, Mr. Hazashi,"

• And you're crying again.

• He has you take the rest of the day off, in fact he takes the day with you

• He calls in a sub (you don't know what strings he had to pull for that but you don't ask, at this point you don't care) and you two dip

• He takes you to get food, real food, that'll make you feel better

• He knows that'll help a little

• and after that he takes you to get something sweet- that tends to help mood and blood pressure and anxiety

• So he does his best with you

• He nutures you the best way he knows how

• if you need anything and I mean ANYTHING this man has you covered

• He does his best to step up in any way he can

• first off he extends his assignment deadlines and cancels two tests. Who needs them anyway.

• And you eat lunch in his classroom because he can well tell you don't want to talk to anyone else right now

• He closes it off (seemingly) so in reality its just you and him

• He'll probably tell Aizawa too but on the downlow (just so he knows)

• When holidays roll around, the dorms close.

• In this case- he let's you stay with him. He has an extra bedroom. He doesn't want you to stay in an empty house.

• You also get his phone number (which you gladly use) for anything really

• Bored? He'll deliver some shitty puns.

• Confused about homework? Text him.

• having a mental breakdown? He's got you covered.

• You got memes? Please for the love of God send them to him.

• The dynamic eventually shifts to a VERY father daughter relationship.

• He knows he'll never replace your dad. He understands that wholeheartedly, but he wants you to have someone

• He actually gets a letter from your dad, thanking him for taking care of you

• but he really doesn't mind

Aizawa:

• He had a feeling that there was something going on at home. Or rather, a lack of something.

• He's dealt with it in the oast- with himself and with past students and current ones

• Shinsou

• I mean, aside from that fact whenever parents were mentioned, you'd either stiffen up or wrinkle your nose

• You didn't really like the subject of parents

• There was an essay prompt about parents (nothing too personal) nd you ended up writing it on the extinction of dinosaurs and why God fucked up instead

"It'd be absolutely stellar to see huge lizards roaming the earth and occasionally stepping on people, you know? Jurassic park was onto something."

• Man's couldn't even fail you on it because it was written v well

• Anyway, he doesn't pry too much. He just silently figures it out by process if elimination and pattern.

• He doesn't really care too much

• In the sense if it doesn't define you and he doesn't help you because he pities you

• he helps you because he seems potential

• He takes you under his wing with shinsou

• Yall spend a whole summer training

• And that's when it all came out

• It was an accident really.

• Shinsou was tired, exhausted really

• and when people get tired- that tired- sometimes they spout random shot they wouldn't usually say

• and thats what he did

• he went on about his home life

• and if he could, you could too right?? You could trust them.

• "My dad walked out when I was a kid. Little, like 3. I have a few pictures of him holding me, but I guess it wasn't enough. I don't have any desire to meet him. Not anymore. But it left me feeling like I did something wrong? I guess? Which I suppose is why I train. Because then I feel strong. Which is a good difference from how it usually feels."

• He knew it.

• He called it.

• He was right again.

• He reassures you that you are good enough, strong enough, and his decision to leave had nothing to do with you

• and when he saw you give him a soft smile, he warmed.

• I mean really, it only goes up from there

• he'll deny it, or grumble under his breath, but he seems you two as his own

• Like these aren't my kids but they are my kids

• When dorms close on holiday yall get to stay because that's where he lives too

• Like if you chose too

• he's not gonna force you to stay but if you don't want to go home, you don't have too

• He has that power

• He will buy you food

• all you gotta do is ask

• and he'll roll his eyes and grumble something he doesn't really mean, just secretly happy that you feel comfortable enough around him to ask for something

• Every week on wendesday yall watch a movie. Usually it takes 2 or 3 days to watch the movie since lunch is only 70 minutes

• You don't let anyone in

• Midoryia knows a bit more than the other students but that's really only because he's always with you

• a good majority of the week he's w you

• but its not really a deep connection

• you don't rely on either of them

• You do your best to do things on your own.

• He knows midoryias life story

• he knows why he acts the way he does

• but he doesn't know why you do

• he has a gut feeling it could be the same as midoryia

• I mean he already had one kid who's dad dipped

• he'll surely be able to figure out you too??

• So he makes himself a promise that he'll figure it out and he'll become someone you trust

• And he does just that

• When you tell him about your nightmare of a family history he's like mm, makes sense

• but he's happy that you trust him!!!

• He's a BIG suckered for movie nights

• he's got popcorn, snacks, candy, chocolate, soda- he's prepared

• list of movies lined out all ready

• I lowkey feel like he'd be into lord of the rings or fast n furious

• He's really into American action movies

• and he has no problem sharing those movies with you

• he doesn't have a whole ton of money, like he's not rich, but if you or midoryia need something he's definitely there to get it for you

• even if ur like fam no you don't need too

• he'll buy yell food a lot

• when you and midoryia get him a father's day card he thinks he's gonna cry
