the warm summer breeze was desireable after months of winter and hardwork. nanno only had a week before she would start heading to summer schools, so a break was much needed.

nanno was sitting on the edge of a rooftop, her legs swinging over the ledge.

soft footsteps appeared behind her, and she knew it was you. “daydreaming again, are we?” you chuckled lowly. “youve seem to be doing that a lot.”

nanno didnt respond, so you took that as an invitation to come closer to nanno. you crouched behind nanno as she began swinging her feet.

you brushed her hair behind her ear before whispering into it. “get your act together. your becoming weaker, youre to worried about useless distractions. be focused.” your breath fanned against the shell of her ear, causing her cheeks to involuntarily redden.

nanno continued to be silent, staring straight ahead. the conversation ended there, as you got up and walked away. although nanno wished you hadnt.

if only you knew that everytime nanno daydreams, shes daydreaming about you. youre the one causing her to lose focus, youre the one making her weak, youre the useless distractions.

the girl behind scoffed, before walking up close behind nanno.

“you may be smart when planting seeds for the humans, but not smart enough to hide your feelings for this boy.”

with a step closer, nannos back was against the girls chest and the girl moved the dark hair from the side of nannos face and whispered in her ear - that action alone sent shivers down nannos spine, and hairs prickle up, “pathetic feelings for an equally pathetic boy.” and with a kiss on the cheek, she walked away from nanno.

no. she didn’t hold such adoration for the boy. she only felt it for the girl that left her behind with a smile and butterflies in her stomach.
