Random Calendar Builder: Starting With Weeks
This is part three of a series on calendars! See this master post for more calendar content: https://www.tumblr.com/randomtable/713543620842700800/random-calendar-series-masterpost?source=share
A different approach to building a calendar with randomization: starting with the smaller units and building up.
1d12 Week Structures
1. A 6 day week, with no set “weekend” - different days off are taken by different people. 2. A 5 day week, with a single weekend day of rest. 3. A 10 day week, with two concurrent weekend days of rest 4. A 4 day week, with no set “weekend” - different days off are taken by different people.   5. A 6 day week, with days of rest on the third and sixth days. 6. An 8 day week, with two concurrent weekend days of rest 7. A 7 day week, with two concurrent weekend days of rest 8. A 9 day week, with days of rest on the third, sixth, and ninth days. 9. A 10 day week, with three concurrent weekend days of rest. 10. An 8 day week, with three concurrent weekend days of rest. 11. A 6 day week, with two concurrent weekend days of rest. 12. A 7 day week, with two concurrent weekend days of rest and a day of rest on the third day.
1d4 Naming Conventions for Days of the Week:
1. Days of the week are referred to by numerical names (ie “firstday” or an equivalent in one of your worlds languages). One day has an exception; what’s special about it? 2. Days of the week are named for gods or other religious figures. What kinds of prayers or rituals are devoted to them on their days? 3. Days of the week are named by duties, chores, or cultural practices that are expected to be done on that day. Are these widely followed, or viewed as something “no one does anymore”? 4. Days of the week are named for planets and/or other celestial bodies (or, for lunar calendars, they might be related to phases of the moon instead). What religious, cultural, scientific or magical associations do these planets have?
For the Rest of the Calendar (1d4)
1. A lunar calendar. Each month is divided into four weeks, based on the full moon, new moon, and waxing and waning half moons. There are 5d4 months in the year. 2. A solar calendar. There are 9d10 weeks in a year, and 5d4 months.* 3. A lunar calendar, based on multiple moons. The moon with the shortest lunar cycle is used for the weeks, while a moon with a longer lunar cycle is used for the months. There are 9d10 weeks in a year, and 5d4 months in a year.* 4. A lunisolar calendar. Each month is divided into four weeks, based on the full moon, new moon, and waxing and waning half moons. There are 5d4 months in the year, but every 2d4+1 years there is an extra month in the year, which helps keep the months aligned to the seasons.
*The number of months may not divide evenly into the year with these results. To resolve this, multiply the number of weeks by the number of days in one week. This is how many days are in the year. Divide the number of days in the year by the number of months in the year, to get the number of days in the month. If this number is whole, great! If not, take just the decimal of the result and multiply it by the number of months in the year to find the number of extra days. You can distribute these days to either make some months longer than others, or insert extra days between months that are observed as holidays.
This post is already pretty long, so if you want to build your calendar further, check out my posts on randomly generated solar and lunar calendars.

Yo, hey, also, if you're an anxious and/or stressed LGBTQ+ person like myself, and like little games about tasks, like Stardew Valley or My Time at Portia or stuff like that, check out Hokko Life.
It's one of those cute little "do things" games, and there are some things about it that I really, really love:
In a lot of these games, there's a set town structure and cast of characters. In Hokko, there are some keystone elements. But each save file has a different "town area" map that you get to build and expand your little town into. There are two residents to begin with, other than you and the shopkeepers in the main town area (separate), and THOSE COULD BE DIFFERENT. From what I can tell, there are at least 4 possible starter residents, and you can get different combinations per save file.
The days are looooooooooong. This is different from Stardew, for example, where you can feel really pressed to "get everything done" in one day. In Hokko, you have PLENTY of time. And you have the option to take a li'l nap at your house if you want to, so you can skip 2 hours or 6 hours without losing the whole damn day. Or just...take a lil nap.
There are NO GENDER OPTIONS in character creator. You start with the same starter outfit, and have 100% of the starter customization options. Everyone calls you "they/them." A good number of the residents are "they/them." You are just...nonbinary/gender neutral/agender. Periodt.
You are the only humanoid. Everyone else is basically stuffed animals. The first folks you meet are a pink elephant who looks like she maybe has vitiligo and a giraffe with a general store who has extremely Dad Jokes Energy. There are all kinds of other interesting animal folks with different personalities. My game has a green emo/skater pig who seems like they might be a stoner and possibly vegan. Definitely cares about their carbon footprint.
Everything is SO CHILL. There's not really energy to manage or anything, you don't get hungry, you don't have to run around making sure you talk to everybody enough so you don't get less popular. Even if you fail a task for a resident...nothing bad happens. Or at least, that I can tell so far. Just like, whoops. Couldn't find that fish. Oh well. I can make you that paint, though. No worries. All good.
When you DO complete tasks, you get clothing items. And like...the first one I got was a "striped skirt" or something. And I was like, "Oh, that looks kinda-sorta-almost like a nonbinary pride flag. Cool." And then I got some yellow shoes, and a red jacket. And then a "Happy Knit Sweater," which was DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY a trans pride flag pattern! And then a tee shirt with rainbow sleeves and a rainbow pocket? So like...THEY GIVE YOU LGBTQ+ PRIDE MERCH FOR YOUR LI'L NONBINARY PAL. And then I realized I very much had trans flag wallpaper in my house. 😂 I freaking love this.
You can MAKE YOUR OWN FURNITURE. There's a whole subset of customization and item creation where you can just...design your own furniture and decorative items from almost scratch. You unlock sets of shapes for the crafting & design table, and then you can go into a 3D design space and just...put some wooden spheres together however you want! Add a leaf shape! Put a brass "7" on it! Go crazy! And then you get to save your design and you can craft it again later if you want to make more, or sell them. It just...becomes an item in your game.
The music is super chill. Because of course.
The fishing system is good, for the way I like to play. It's very easy to see the fish, it's very easy to know when you need to "hook/catch," and following the system to reel in is easy to understand. It requires a little effort, it's not an auto-catch, but it's not stressful. It's a TASK, but not a HEADACHE. And you can do it without bait and still be fine.
There's a whole entire thing around catching butterflies. You can just frolic around all day in your pride-wear catching butterflies if you want. It's lovely.
You can save and exit at any point. SUPER IMPORTANT. Can't tell you how many times I've felt some stress about like, "AAAARRRGGGHHH, I have to get to a good spot to stop this Stardew day, or just start over again..." Nah. Hokko, you just hit escape, "Save & Exit." When you load up again, you'll be in your house, with the same stuff on hand/in your backpack.
I actually kinda also like that there doesn't seem to be a romance component? Like, that's neat and all when it is available, but I don't always want the townsfolk coming onto me just because I've given them sufficient eggs or whatever. I might have needed to do those quests to advance the plot, or get a new shovel or something. And maybe I'm not actually down to clown, homie.
Anyway, I'm thoroughly enjoying this game. Got it in the Steam Sale. I think it's not crazy expensive even regular price? My one issue that I'm running into is that the wiki for it is like...zero content. Or just not much in-depth stuff beyond the very bare basics for some of it. So when I want info or hit a snag, I been using Duck Duck Go on that biz, or hitting the Steam Forums. Not the worst thing in the world.

Who is your most hated Seymour? For me, it's John, Thomas, Edward and Jane.
roflmao, tbf, i know intellectually that there's not enough there there to justify hating john seymour, but he does give me bad vibes...whatever happened with catherine fillol was weird and i do get the sense he was involved even if not in the rumored way. and also, when siblings hate each other to such an extent, it's often bcus they were pit against each other by their parents, so i get the sense he was not a good father (there's some debate on whether he died late 1536 or 1535, tbf, but if it was the former it's strange that none of children seemed to mourn his death, that he wasn't mourned at court as the queen's father, etc) . margery doesn't have enough about her known for me to judge; it's sort of weird to me that this stereotype has fallen she and jane had a bad relationship and her favorite child/daughter was elizabeth (this occurs in like...several...novels). we don't have an equivalent positive remark to 'next to mine own mother, no woman alive i know better' (AB, about her own, and to bridget wingfield), nor any records of them often being in each other's company during significant events or eras, but we don't have anything negative either. i get you have to make choices in fiction and 'neutral' is not an interesting one but like...damn.
what's interesting about edward and thomas is that, even before their sister becomes queen, edward is not spoken of well by his contemporaries. very early (iirc, 1535) on, his 'small conscience' is decried, and he becomes such an avaricious figure that cromwell and the king have to interfere in his attempts to manipulate and loophole property laws to his own advantage and the impoverishment of others (and, not usually in his favor, despite him being a royal in-law). thomas, however, seems like he's better liked in the 1530s, although this can maybe be attributed to him being more of a nonentity (a comparative example is some tudor authors insisting GB was 'better liked' than his sister anne-- not true, it seems-- or more often, that their sister mary was...which is probably true, but also probably more indicative of relative lack of power and positions and leverage than 'kinder' personality)...it's not until the 1540s that we get comments of the same genre ("somewhat empty of manner"). thomas thus seems more like a figure of gradual corruption, his arrogance was increased was by his nephew becoming king, it seems, and resentment brought out an ugly side of his character (arguably, the same with edward, just earlier on).
it's extremely unpopular to say this on here, but yeah, jane is definitely not a favourite of mine, either. but i don't think my reasons for this are really common...i don't care if she slept with henry before marriage, i don't care if she didn't, i just find her biographers weirdly contradictory in their judgements of her character, the nature of her rise, and her own beliefs. there's also like, this sense of historic illiteracy from some of her defenders...joining a royal household (as far as the most prestigious positions, that is) was not the equivalent of serfdom (as in, they could leave at any time). jane's supporters were courtiers who hated anne, so it's reasonable to assume she did, as well. so, there's this sort of moral hypocrisy about jane as a figure and her advancement and how she came to her position that has always prevented me from warming to her as a figure. 'she hated anne and all she stood for' explains her involvement in her downfall, but not her securing the position in her household in the first place. and by virtue of her close proximity to anne as queen, she also knew that it was nigh impossible that she was actually guilty of the accusations of adultery.
what else...her defenders insist that the oaths of supremacy and succession were anathema to her moral compass, yet she likely did have to have had taken them herself, just as a subject, and if not that then definitely as a member of anne's household. this wouldn't have martyred/imperiled her life, althought it probably would have her career (elizabeth darrell never took these, so i wonder if the penalty for women was different...? barton is often cited as an example but this was not in her indictment. princess mary seems to almost have been a victim of this, but it might've been more that her signing was more important since she was a rallying point for dissenters).
and even if jane never took these, the presence of noblewomen serving anne as queen lent to her greater image of royal legitimacy. she had to have known that, and if she didn't believe her position was legitimate...then why be part of that tapestry? there's not an equivalent to her predecessor to be made here, not when anne left her own predecessor's household and began her own as soon as she came to believe catherine was not legitimately queen or henry's wife. any credulousness towards contemporary report of this time would suggest anne was extremely hostile towards her rival, but there is a difference between declaring that you'd sooner watch your rival hanged before revering them and, well...actually doing that (...essentially, if not literally).
actually, i don't think there's actually much to suggest jane was set against the religious supremacy unless you make some suppositional leaps (the dissolution wasn't so explicitly connected here, her support of mary as princess, even if rather cosmetic, could be seen as support for her decision not to take those oaths herself for nigh on two years...). nor against succession acts as brought by parliament, since the same illegitimized any potential rivals to her future children, and she seemed to make a point in one of her only pieces of writing we have in emphasizing edward's legitimacy (implicitly, at the expense of her stepdaughters).
the narrative fiction i probably dislike about jane the most is this idea that she was so reverent of catherine's memory, it's really fucking weird, honestly... it bothers me because i know it's embellished to increase reader/viewer (the tudors comes to mind) sympathy and somehow for me it does the opposite, lol. there's something about the concept of her trading on the memory of this beloved woman (who, herself, probably didn't even remember jane, there's nothing to suggest any kind of friendship between them) who was exiled, this woman whom jane did not a single thing for (not even abstaining from joining the household of her rival), that just really grosses me out. henry was the one who was her husband, and obviously he was a fucking asshole to and about her, but there's at least something more...direct, in his attempted erasure of her memory. it's always bothered me that it's never acknowledged that the antecedent (which was carried on throughout) to jane's queenship was the erasure of both her predecessors, the illegitimization of both their daughters, both of them being subordinated, and, more or less (mary present for christmas, elizabeth not, but both there during the rebellions) equally expelled from court.

Little Tired Eye
[Steve Rogers x gn!reader
Warning: Bittersweet ending, fluff, angst, one swear word at the end.
Summary: Steve is your comfort person. You know that will never change.]
Tumblr media
The heavy sound of the torrent above you mixes with the urgent Clop! Clop! Clop! of your boots carrying you home as fast as you could manage. You don't have an umbrella, only a jacket that you're holding above you to ward off at least some of the fierce patter of the rain. As if your day hasn't been terrible enough.
You almost cry in relief when you see your apartment building nearing. You couldn't care less about the drops you send flying everywhere as you dash up the staircase, fumbling along the way to retrieve your keys from the depths of your pocket.
The huge noise inside and outside your head comes to a sudden stop the moment you shut the door behind you, sending you into a daze for a few seconds. As you toe off said boots, you notice the light in the kitchen. Next thing you register is a low and deep voice humming a tune. You smile, despite everything you just braved throughout the day. You know who it is, and instead of heading to your bedroom, you make your way to the kitchen.
Sure enough, your blonde lover is at the kitchen table, a cup of coffee in one hand and his phone in the other. Headphones in his ears.
You listen as he quietly croons along to Sweet Nothing, a soft smile on his lips as the music surrounds him. You almost don't want to interrupt his moment of bliss. You know that song touches him deeper than any other track on the whole album. You've sleepily joined him a few times as he's lulled you to sleep with it. He's admittedly not the most talented singer in the world, but his singing is the most melodious sound you have ever heard. You wouldn't trade it for anything.
Soon though, he looks up to find you leaning against the doorway. The smile grows wider as he pauses the song and comes to you to wrap you in his arms. Nevermind that you're soaked to the bone.
"Hey sweetheart."
You bury your face further into his chest, choosing to let his warmth heal your battered soul. He gets the hint, rubbing circles into your back.
Five seconds pass.
Fifteen.
Thirty.
You start crying noiselessly. It's been a really long day and it's weighed on you heavily. But you're not crying from the pressure.
🎶Outside they're push and shoving, you're in the kitchen humming.🎶
You're crying because you've come home. To his sweet nothings.
He cradles you close to his heart, even as you clean up and get ready for bed. He holds you tightly, your favourite sound in the world ringing in your ears as you drift off into sleep.
Tumblr media
You feel much more refreshed when you wake up. Of course he isn't next to you when you look to your side. It's not a big deal. He'll be back when you need him. You smile at memories of the previous night. You'll never stop marvelling at how his kindness is still intact after all he went through.
Today's a big day. Anticipation ripples through your friend circle in an undercurrent. All you can think about is the movie you're going to watch later in the evening. It's a huge thing for the franchise and its fandom, the biggest event of the decade. It's the culmination of eleven years of movies...and you're not sure what exactly you're going to do after this film's over.
You've had a major spoiler from one of your loose-lipped friends who saw it on opening night, but you're holding hope that he was joking even though you knew perfectly well he wasn't.
You cry when your favourite characters die. You cry when the spoiler moment arrives. Your friend had given you half the story. You saw the rest coming.
You refuse to speak a word after that. You're as silent as a grave in the restaurant, even though it's your favourite cuisine. Everyone else is either quietly sobbing or talking about the hilarious jokes that had been thrown in here and there. Whichever happens to be their coping mechanism. You stopped crying the moment you were outside the theatre. Knowing better than to bother you, they leave you alone, only making sure from time to time that you eat a substantial amount.
Tumblr media
You trudge your way up the stairs again, feeling hollow inside. Get over it, it's a movie. None of it is real. None of it is real. Stop weeping over fictional characters, you tell yourself repeatedly. Your rational pep talk works well...until you're inside your safe haven, away from the rest of the world.
Because the moment you do...
"Hey sweetheart."
You should be angry. You should tell him how heartbroken you are. You should let him know how out of line he was.
But...
But he's here. He's here, radiant, smiling, warm. And yours. How do you even begin to be mad at him?
You crumble like a sandcastle.
"How was the film?" he asks brightly.
"You left." you fight back a sniffle.
"I left?" He's confused. Obviously. Your sweet angel Steve doesn't know any better. Can't know any better.
"You went back in time to be with her. You left everyone alone to live out a life in the past. A life where you didn't belong anymore." You whisper. You can't yell at him when he's holding you like that. Looking at you like that. Like you're his entire world.
"Oh darling..." he presses your head to his chest against, stroking your hair and kissing your temple. "Darling, that's ridiculous. That's nuts. I don't know why they'd even think of that. Look here," he pulls back slightly and tilts your chin up to meet his loving baby blues. "I'm right here." He strokes your cheek.
"Right." A peck to your lips.
"Here." Another.
"With." Kiss.
"You." Kiss.
"Always." One final kiss to seal the promise.
Your bottom lip wobbles. You don't know what you'd do without this man in your life. You can't afford to let him go.
"Y/N, you know everyone has to go sometime, right?" he's making every effort to make this as gentle for you as possible.
Dammit, was that my outside voice?
"Don't," you croak out.
The feeling of his arms around you is fading, too quickly for your liking. Your nose can't trace his scent anymore.
"I love you, Steve." You whimper.
He looks torn. "Darling, I'm not even rea-"
You close your eyes, blocking out whatever he's trying to say. You shake your head softly, focusing on him in your mind's little tired eye.
His voice fades. The warmth surrounding you is gone. All your senses are left numb.
You take a deep breath.
🎶They said the end is coming, everyone's up to something.
I find myself running home to your sweet nothings.🎶
Go fuck yourself, Endgame.
Your eyelids part open, just a sliver at first, then all the way.
His image fizzles for a moment before reappearing - brighter, clearer. The familiar smell of coffee, cologne and a hint of fabric conditioner is back in the air between you two. You're pulled closer to a firm, broad chest.
He smiles, and the room brightens, along with your spirits.
"I love you too, sweetheart."
[Yeah, I don't know where this came from. I had to let this out I guess. Sweet Nothing always reminds me of Steve. I thought setting reader in our real world would be a cool idea.
This is basically also me before and after Endgame.
Do reblog and/or leave some feedback if you appreciate it.]

I feel like Talia might approve of YRZ. Like at least her darling didn't shack up with a *shudder* Pacifist.
Oh man I didn’t think about this but yeah, she probably does approve.
Like she was offended that Bruce would take up with Obviously Normal Man Yrz, and naturally tried to take him out (I think she’s pregnant with Damian at this point so she doesn’t do it herself)— only for her Assassins to just. Not come back?
Turns out Yrz, having studied magic, fed them to his wards around Wayne Manor! Like, waste not want not right? So Talia goes and speaks to Yrz in person and it only takes one conversation to know: oh, this person is very much Not Normal. Talia senses the bone deep crazy that Yrz radiates.
I see, Talia thinks. Her Beloved has always chosen his companions well. Yes, this man will do nicely.

Random Calendar Builder: Solar Calendars
This is part one of a series on calendars I am planning! See this master post for more calendar content as I post it: https://www.tumblr.com/randomtable/713543620842700800/random-calendar-series-masterpost?source=share
Year length:
(how many days does it take for the planet to revolve around the sun?) The year is 7d100 days long.
Now, divide this year length by 4 to find the length of your planet’s seasons. *If the result is a fraction or decimal: 1/4 or .25 means one season will be one day longer than the others. 1/2 or .5 means two seasons will be one day longer than the others. 3/4 or .75 means three seasons will be one day longer than the fourth. The length of seasons is also the number of days between the solstices and equinoxes.
1d8 Days to Start The Year On: 1. The day after the Winter Solstice, when nights are just beginning to grow longer. The New Year is celebrated as a time of hope, of starting an upward journey after hitting a low point. New Years celebrations might include light-based decorations, songs about light and hope, and making plans for self improvement. 2. A day between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, which is the anniversary of the dawn of the ruling dynasty who implemented this calendar. (Feel free to select the exact day randomly). The New Year is celebrated as a patriotic event. New Years celebrations might include flying emblems or flags, nationalist and propaganda songs, and speeches or addresses from leaders and politicians. 3. The day of the Spring Equinox, when cold is giving way to warmth, and it is time for planting and for baby animals to be born. The New Year is celebrated as a time of rebirth and new beginnings, and it may be personified as an infant or baby animal. New Years celebrations might include imagery of flowers, eggs, and babies, time spent planting crops or gardens, and songs about joy and rebirth. 4. A day between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice, which is the birthday of a deity or other important religious figure. (Feel free to select the exact day randomly) The new year is celebrated as a religious feast day. New Years celebrations might include prayers and songs to the holy figure, feasts in their name, and religious services. 5. The day after the Summer Solstice, when the days are long and hot. The New Year is celebrated as a time of rest, taking a break from hard work and hot sun. New Years celebrations might include observing a day without work, gifts like hats and parasols that protect from the sun, and activities like swimming to cool off or sharing chilled food and drinks. 6. A day between the Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox, which is the anniversary of the death of a deity or other important religious figure. The New Year is observed as a somber day of religious reflection, where the year that passed may also be treated as a living thing which has died. New Years customs might include fasting or making other sacrifices, lengthy prayers, and wearing veils or other mourning clothes. 7. The day of the Autumn Equinox, when the harvest is in full swing. The New Year is celebrated as a time of bounty and of preparation for the long nights of winter ahead. New Years celebrations might include feasting, songs wishing farewell to the times of plenty and to the sun, and expressing gratitude to the earth, to a deity of fertility, or to farmers for a bountiful harvest. 8. A day between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice, which is thought to be the anniversary of the creation of the world itself. (Feel free to select the exact day randomly). The New Year is observed as a serious but joyful religious holiday. New Years traditions might include offerings to the god or gods of creation, prayer and song about their power and might, and excursions into the wilderness to behold their creation in its natural state.
Months:
The year is divided into 5d4 months, which may or may not be roughly based on the lunar cycle*.  Divide the year length by the number of months to get the length of the months. It’s likely this number won’t be even. If it isn’t, multiply the fraction/decimal by the number of months to get the number of extra days.
1d4 Things to do with Extra Days 1. Make months unequal: distribute the days among certain months, so that some are a day longer than others. 2. Add these days as extra holidays between months: These days aren’t considered part of a particular month, rather falling between the months and being days of rest or celebration. Try to distribute them equally, if you can. 3. Add these days as a multi-day holiday at the end of the year: this extra time becomes an extended period to prepare for the new year, following the tradition rolled on the previous table. 4. Add these days as a multi-day holiday in the middle of the year: this extra time is a mid-year break, situated between two months near the midway point of the year. You can consult the previous table for what this festival might be for, based on what time of year it occurs, or make up something else.
Weeks:
Your calendar’s weeks are informed by how its months are divided. Here are some options for weeks, noting which types of months they work for.
Perfect Weeks: (Does not work for unequal months.) If there is a number between 5-10 that your month length can be evenly divided by, then this can be the length of your week. For calendars with extra days between months, those extra days are also considered to be between weeks.
Unequal Weeks: (Works for any type of months.) Your months are divided into a number of weeks. In order to make that number whole, some of your weeks are a day longer than others.
One Short Week: (Does not work for calendars with extra days added as a multi-day holiday.) Weeks are 1d4+4 days long. If this number does not divide evenly by how long your year is, the remaining days are treated as a multi-day holiday at the end of the year. (Note that this holiday is still considered part of the last month of the year.)
Earth-like Weeks: (Works for any type of months.) Weeks are 1d4+4 days long and do not change or reset at the end of the year or month. What day of the week the year or the month begins on varies from year to year and month to month. If you have holidays that are between months, the weeks should also skip these holidays.
*Bonus: Lunar Cycles in Solar Calendars (Under the Cut)
If your year does not divide perfectly into the number of months you rolled, then your lunar cycle will not stay aligned with your months. For simplicity’s sake, we’ll assume that your base month is the actual length of a lunar cycle. You can plot these lunar cycles out on your calendar just like we do on Earth, and you’ll see that they quickly become misaligned with the months.
(Warning, math ahead!) The “extra days” you calculated before are called the Epact, the difference in length between the solar and lunar years. You can subtract the Epact from the year length to determine the lunar year length, and use those numbers to determine extra information about the alignments of the solar and lunar calendars: * A purely lunar calendar (with no leap months added to re-align with the solar year) will cycle through the seasons, so over several years what seasons happen in which months will shift. To determine the length of this cycle, divide the solar year length by the Epact. This tells you how many years it takes before the seasons re-align in the lunar calendar. (On Earth, it takes 33 years.) If the result is a whole number, then the lunar and solar calendars will have the same New Years Day if they both began on the same day initially.  (If it isn’t a whole number, how often they line up is a little bit more complicated: it’s equal to the least common multiple of the two different year lengths, divided by the length of the solar year.) * You can also determine how many years it takes before the cycles of the moon line up to the same days of the year again. This is equal to the least common multiple of the solar year length and the lunar cycle length (which is the base month length), divided by the solar year length.

I forgot exactly who posted it on the subreddit but it popped into my head again and I wanted to say that person predicted that how Kana figures out Aqua’s revenge plan and how her role in the “final” arc will be similar to the plot of the show they both starred in (Sweet Today).
You know the one that kicked off the revenge plan properly in the first place. The show that would inevitably lead to Kana becoming an idol and a maiden so helplessly in love with him. The show that would lead him to the dating reality show. You know… the one where a stalker attempts at the heroine’s life, telling her that nothing other than darkness lies ahead of her but she perseveres by being the light.
(And the implications in the bigger narrative of everyone else being in the path of darkness and/or lies while Kana continues to be her honest self)
If this short series they both starred in is what fucking happens I WILL freak out.
One foreshadowing, two probably writers doing writer things and putting the plot at the start as a reminder to themselves in case they forgor lol
I like when things come back full circle so I seriously hope that person is right and Aka and Mengo deliver this because it makes my brain do nice brain things.

I wish there was a way to tell Youtube that me watching Doctor Who fanvid tributes and compilations - which I enjoy - does not mean I want to watch people's review/commentary videos on why Doctor Who is bad now and it's ruined and unpopular and they're going to cancel it and whatever.
They've been saying that for like, 60 years now, and it's not any more interesting now than it was the first time they said it
