I hate my little brain voice (the monkey as I call it) sometimes. I feel like the Doctor assuming he/him pronouns for the Meep really works to highlight how the Doctor doesn't fully understand gender I think, and how the Doctor is more agender.

It's like, the Doctor mostly seems to use whatever pronouns people assign them after regenerating, based on how other people see them. It's normally portrayed as something the Doctor has to consciously remember and keep up with, not something that's actually a part of them.

And in that light, it makes sense to just assume pronouns for the Meep, because that's basically how it works, right? That's how everyone's always treated the Doctor.

Of course, when it's brought up, the Doctor asks the Meep about pronouns, and the Meep says that the Meep's pronouns are always the Meep.

And the Doctor's like, "Yeah! Me too!" but then mostly people don't actually like, pick up on that and take the cue to ask the Doctor anything about pronouns, because the Meep looks clearly alien and androgynous to humans, but the Doctor doesn't.

And the Doctor is used to just going along with whatever, so they don't bother to bring it up explicitly, but I do feel like there's a connection there.

The Doctor assumes the Meep uses he/him pronouns because that's mostly what people assume the Doctor uses, and because the Doctor is used to people doing that to them, they assume that's just What's Done.

But it doesn't have to be, and the Doctor does ask the Meep about pronouns, and maybe someday someone will ask the Doctor.

i think Ghost Bear is one of the best/funniest side character villains in rottmnt because even though he and turtles usually spend a lot of time kicking each other’s asses or doing dangeous high speed chases, that is never his primary goal.

like sure he probably enjoys getting to beat them up but in the two episodes we got with him as the main antagonist (post introduction ep) his motives were as follows:

- steal a dvd from the turtles

- destroy their snowman

this man is out here brawling with some teenagers because he wants to do the equivalent of knocking ice cream out of a kid's hands to them and it cracks me the hell up

the other villains are either trying to actively kill them or are doing crime for them to step in and stop. but with Ghost Bear he is just living his life, runs into the turtles in the wild, and will beat them up just to do like school yard bully shit

I drew this semi-inspired by samurai jacks style. This was a quick one I didn’t do any studies for, mostly just wanted to do some simple lineless art…. I will do art style studies of samurai jack soon and make an actual majima but samurai jack design:3

I’ve been wanting to draw more characters in situations/ interactions for ages now and I have a littttlllle bit but it is so HARD!! Especially with ykz because I’m terrified of people thinking that I’m mischaracterizinf them or that I’m cringe 😔 it is so hard for me to know what I want from my artwork and I think everything I draw is so boring and mediocre and TERRIBLE!! I think just. Drawing more would fix this. Maybe if I wasn’t sick all the time. I miss filling sketchbooks in a couple weeks and drawing whatveer made me feel good. Hopefully posting here will help too… I might make a post about what skills in particular I need to brush up on and shit. Maybe having a post will keep me accountable. Who knows. I really need to study angles. And lighting. And proportions. And shapes. Ohhh. I feel like this whenever I watch something really visually striking or see really interesting fanarts. I’m watching samurai jack at the moment and I think that’s why I’m back into being hooked on thinking about what I need to study. It’s so beautiful and perfect. Such gorgeous design and composition and everything. Wonderful shapes. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
